uhm?? hi??

i was offline yesterday, and when i opened tumblr this morning i had over one thousand notifications?? one hundred and fifty notifications were new followers?? i reached five hundred followers two weeks ago and now i have seven hundred?? this does not feel real, someone pinch me (or hit me, because this feels so unreal).

i am very certain that the release of season to has sparked this sudden interest in the fandom, but i am very thankful (and a little bit overwhelmed) nontheless <33 so, hi and thank you for everyone that saw my mediocre writing and decided that i am someone worth following, i am genuinely baffled.

i'm currently a bit slumped with finishing my term paper and finishing the requests for my last follower celebration, so i am a bit busy rn, but i promise i'll do something special as soon as i can!! i also still don't have wifi at home, so please bear with me if i'm a bit inactive or selective with the messages i answer!!

Every time I watch the cold open of Memorial and B'Elanna tells Tom about how she ASSEMBLED a 50's television set from SCRATCH just to surprise him (there's no reason beyond that - just an incredibly sweet and thoughtful gesture) and replicated popcorn for him to eat while he watches and Tom says "They didn't have remote controls in the 50's ♥ Also where's my beer?" I contemplate murder ESPECIALLY because B'Elanna responds cheerfully to it - GIRL!!! LEAVE HIM!!!!!! IS HE SUPPOSED TO BE CHARMING IN THIS SCENE????

#AND THEN SHE TRIES TO TELL HIM ABOUT HER DAY AND HE DOESN'T EVEN LISTEN TO HER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!#-KILLINGHIM-#also a line that always makes me smile is in the mess hall scene #a group of crewmen enter all laughing and one person says 'that's the best joke I've ever heard!' it's so on the nose and I love it #also I LOOOVE the scene with Neelix Chakotay Tom and Harry all bouncing off each other in the briefing room #AND HARRY GETS TO SHIIINE~!!!!#anyway Tom is a shitty enough partner he does NOT need violent war ptsd #ALSO!!! Seven & Neelix are a severely underrated friendship they're really sweet to each other #'Memorial' is a really good episode I love the sci-fi concept and the intensity from everyone <3 #Chakotay's dry: 'Fascinating.'#I also love Neelix's resistance to turning off the memorial - it fits so well with his character (and backstory)#and I love the tried and true 'every alien planet is just some park <3'#I forgot Janeway made them recharge the insta-ptsd memorial and was gonna be like WHAT???? WILD CHOICE MA'AM #but then she put a content warning in space and I waslike OK...ok!! That I can accept v_v hehehe #I 100% understand both sides of the 'do we leave it on or turn it off?' debate bc it DOES instantly give you debilitating war ptsd #so it's not like it's a heartless or un-empathetic choice to want to turn it off - I think Janeway's solution is the best of both worlds #I am interested in how being spontaneously afflicted with severe ptsd-causing memories of brutally murdering almost a hundred people would #mm....affect almost the entire crew (I say 'almost' bc it doesn't seem like it was EVERYONE: Naomi - Seven - and Tuvok are all fine for #example)#like what if someone (and this is dark but in a real-world way a real concern) kills themself because of that guilt??#what if the ship gets in a battle and around half the crew starts experiencing flashbacks??#Again - Voyager not having a counselor/therapist is HORRIFIC

Mom, only person to understand her, died pre-series

Dad and sister are emotionally abusive

Tricked by her enemies and roped onto the wrong side

Distrusted by the rest of the Four and believed to be a spy

Targeted by Meilin in particular

Kidnapped by obnoxious pre-teen boys

Gets frostbite

Gets concussed

Gets stabbed

Gets captured

Gets beaten up by Meilin

Lied to and betrayed by her dearest friend

Meanwhile dad DISOWNS her

Understandable depressive episode

Makes up with dad because he apparently decided he wanted to keep treating his daughter like shit

Mauled by cougars

Loses Uraza to arch-nemesis Zerif

Another extremely understandable depressive episode

Nicknamed "hollow-girl" which tells you a lot

Almost killed by Uraza on two separate occasions

Friend* killed by Uraza

Denied proper resolution with said friend

#jesus himself didn't suffer so much as abeke #reading this list back like what the fuck was going on #abeke has not done a single thing wrong in her life ever #yes some of these events were necessary and furthered her as a character #but many were not. and some were downright harmful to her character growth #are we ready to talk about how the black girl was the designated punching bag of the series? (stares directly into the camera)#(to drive my point home consider how she was the only one of the four to have to bleed in order to wake the bond token spirit. lol)#and what is she given to show for it!#nothing. shitty bio family. dead boyfriend. pll was my entire adolescence i swear to god. like i grew up on that franchise it also was the original catalyst for turning my entire friend group gay

You know back when the AU was a comic, I was able to gloss over so much of the politics of Mewni Creek I was not well equipped to handle and focus instead on the relationships and bonds that were important to the story going forward and explain the new governmental system of this combined world after it had been established and the masses calmed long down.

But now? Now that it’s a fic? Now that I have to essentially re-start the Ovelia establishment and better flesh out her blossoming friendships and connections to the main cast?

#I talk too much #I should probably delete this later #Even beyond fragmented memories and a state of forgetfulness they remember enough to want to see her!!!#idk I love them haha #I don't think Dan Feng was in love with Baiheng for what I've read even though it seems to be also an extended opinion at times #I think he loved of her the same thing he loved of Yingxing‚ that he was treated as a normal person by her and not as high elder #(Jingliu wonders how someone so proud and someone so arrogant could get along and beyond how hot arrogance is at times #and how invigorating to have two prides opposed and crash‚ I think that's why! Dan Feng appreciated that Yingxing just treated him #as a person with all his defiance‚ beyond roles and statuses and even being a short life species)#He also just loved her of course. And he felt indebted to her. And guilty I imagine #And honestly I think he used this as a means to create a new high elder and break free of that cycle he so resented as well as new life #Which makes his actions several layers of selfish and selfless and selfish and selfless and I love the complexity and the grey hues #But yeah in any case I love this. the snow and cold have aggravated my chronic knee pain so badly that i’m just in toddler hours about everything
