Sick Day Since it's the time of the year again where my instagram feed is flooded with memes about how everyone is getting sick and I start avoiding people even more than usual cause I almost died from pneumonia once, I got inspired to do some doodling.

I already explored the hilarity of man-flu Severus Snape in the past, so now I ventured on to man-flu Aegon (because Aemond would probably just suffer in silence).

And for the people who can't decipher my atrocious handwriting:

Top left Aemond: Still not better? Aegon: F*ck off.

Top right Servant: Is it enough blankets, your grace? Aegon: *miserable sniff

Middle Aegon: *violent sneeze Aegon: Kill me, Aemond. Aemond: Don't be so dramatic, your grace. Aegon: Your king demands it. Aemond: Let's get you back to bed. Bottom Aemond: I should be at a council meeting...I can't move. Artist's notes: 1. After drawing the picture of blanket-pile Aegon, I noticed he looks like an Onigiri. A friend of mine called him an "Aegonigiri" and I hate myself for not thinking of this joke first. 2. For the picture where he's napping on Aemond's shoulder I'd like you to imagine the most obnoxious stuffy-nose snoring. 3. I'm in love with the green and gold color scheme.

I'm not sure which is more surprising, the fact I finished this, the fact I photographed this, or the fact it actually fits. Usually I get two out of the three at best.

Anyway, this is my creatively titled "red dragon dress" which I sort of made to celebrate House of the Dragon being back, but also because I like dragons and wanted an excuse to use some of the many scale print fabrics I have hoarded while on my time away from making things.

(I may not be inspired to sew but I am always inspired to waste money on Etsy.)

It was made from a chemically pleated satin, a red jacquard, black brocade, and probably like forty yards of trim. It was fun to play with fabrics and texture again, I must say, even if this project tested my patience at times!

In total it took about 9 days of work from design to drafting to completion, spread over a period of two weeks. Made and modeled by me, as per usual.

Yesterday 02/12/23 I met Steve and Ewan dressed as Daenerys Targaryen on ccxp23, I am so thrilled and happy. They seemed really have enjoyed the cosplay 💕

🐉How it went on there :

Steve welcomed me with a ‘wow’ and a big warm hug (I was sooo cold lmao ), I could not have been happier , Ewan said : ‘you look amazing!’ twice (once I came in and once i got out) , I also showed him my little vhaegar tattoo, he found it adorable!

This made my year. Thank you ccxp for this opportunity❤️‍🔥

I’m not sure what direction they’ll take with the alys and aemond relationship and how genuine it will be but I really WOULD like to see aemond experience unconditional love. it would drive home the tragedy of his character if he finds what he’s been searching for his whole life only when it’s too late to change the ending

I don't have the patience for cosplaying anymore but I do have a love of dragons and desire to either be/be married to Rhaenyra Targaryen so here is a dress inspired by her that I've been working on while awaiting season 2.

The hem is not done and I think it needs some sort of belt buckle (maybe in the shape of a dragon because I'm creative) but it is a good start. There is a video about making the bodice here and I'll probably post some WIP photos on the process in the coming days.

...assuming I'm not too busy crying because this show is going to ruin me, I just know it.

...that awkward moment when you realize you've been saving in the wrong color space and all the photos you've posted previously were looking duller than you intended. 😭 anyway, when I finish editing everything I'll probably tweak all the photos a bit before putting together a post of the best ones? idk, the perfectionist in me is dying a bit bc of how different everything looks.
