About a few days ago, I went back to more experimentation with Buldak; this time, took a trip to KFC by ordering the Classic Chicken Burger + Nuggets Big Box Meal while taking six pieces of nuggets and cutting them in half as both layers for the one on the bowl. Then added both Buldak and Secret Recipe Fries to the burger by making it a successful combination.
I also received a bit of good news that another grocery outlet that isn't Walmart carries Buldak, too, except it's Carbonara themed. I don't think I've ever tasted Carbonara noodles before, but I'm certain that may be up my alley. Unless I don't have anything else to eat in the kitchen.
KFC, won't you be a good restaurant and collaborate with Samyang Foods for once?

I had a dream where there was this new meme format where people would randomly rate posts on a scale of spicy, Ketchup to Buldak Hot Chicken Flavor 2x. And if a post sucked all the comments would be, “Your post is ketchup boy” and there would be ketchup bottles flooding the notes.

Bad Batch Food Headcanons:
Was having the meal of champions (soju, galbi, and buldak) and it got me thinking,,
So have this collection of random food headcanons:
Crosshair insists he can handle spicy food but he cannot. He's eating hot cheetos and he's fucking crying
Wrecker had to build up a tolerance for spice - he fucking LOVES spicy food ("It's like an explosion in my mouth!!") but couldn't handle it at first. Now he can handle buldak with half of the spice packet!
Hunter and Tech can handle their spice decently but Echo isn't too fond of spicy foods.
Like Wrecker, Omega built up a tolerance to spice, but also like Crosshair she's sensitive to it and will insist that she can handle her spice
Echo is a picky eater. That's like canon. He doesn't care that he's a grown man, he's ordering mac-n-cheese at the fancy restaurant. Deal with it.
Tech is another picky eater but he thrives off instant stuff like ramen or snacks like chips. Man can plow through a whole Costco-sized bag of tortilla chips in one sitting without realizing it.
Hunter has a stomach of steel, he'll eat anything and everything. It's only a matter of REMEMBERING to fucking eat. He'll stand up, nearly faint, then go, "What the hell?" and it's because he hasn't eaten since fucking yesterday.
No Crosshair, an ice coffee is NOT a suitable breakfast. How many times do we have to tell you? And aren't you fucking lactose intolerant???
Oh they love their dinosaur chicken nuggets though - especially Omega and Wrecker. They'll dunk them in ketchup and create a whole murder crime scene.
Omega LOVES soup. Any and all kinds! I think she'd really enjoy udon or 냉면 the most though. The slurp-ier the better!
I feel like Tech is a curry enjoyer. Indian curry, Thai curry, Japanese curry - he loves it all.
Rip Crosshair you would've loved flavored soju 😔
Rip Wrecker you would've loved Korean BBQ and all you can eat sushi
I don't think Hunter likes cold foods. His teeth are sensitive and they hurt when he eats cold stuff like ice cream (no I'm not projecting)
Crosshair likes mint ice cream. Echo likes rocky road. Wrecker enjoys strawberry or sherbert. Omega likes cookie dough. Tech likes caramel or coffee.
Ice cream is like the only kind of "dessert" that Crosshair likes (despite being lactose intolerant) - he doesn't really have a sweet tooth
WAIT CROSSHAIR WHEN I TELL YOU ABOUT BINGSU!!!
SPAM. SPAM. SPAM. Shut up they WOULD eat spam and idc what people say I fucking LOVE spam. Spam is the love of my life, they could never make me hate spam. I used to write parody love songs about spam as a kid. They would enjoy breakfasts of spam, rice, and eggs.
They'd devour the shit out of Mexican food. Like CMON-
Feel like Omega would like fiedo. And Echo too
Wrecker thinks breakfast burritos are godsend - he absolutely loves papas and chorizo
Y'know what would be funny? Echo being a picky eater yet LOVEING Mole. It's not for everyone (I personally like it) but he thinks it's good
Omega has a boba addiction. She has ro have it every week. Her favorites are Taro, Strawberry Matcha, and Honey Milk Tea
Only Hunter and Wrecker like boba; Echo, Crosshair, and Tech find the texture funny but they enjoy the drinks
I feel like Echo is a big bread eater. My sister reminds me a LOT of Echo and she absolutely ADORES bread (she's also a picky eater) - catch him at 85° or Paris Baguette
Hunter would love Soul Food and he also can work a grill
Rip Echo you would’ve loved soba and you would've loved 맥주
Tech actually secretly (not so secretly) has a sweet tooth - he really likes muffins and pies specifically
Omega and Wrecker record "Food Review" videos together
I have,, so many more ideas and whatnot but I'm leaving it here-
Ugh I just,,, I have so many foods I'd love to introduce them too-

once again another "i've never been sponsored by anyone in my life but i'm autistic and feel compelled to share when i've enjoyed something" post. i've gotten these as groceries multiple times
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
the buldak i eat with a lot of milk (3/4 cup), some butter (1 patty), some shredded mozzarella (vibes), and some imitation crab (~2.5 oz, or 1/3 of an 8 oz bag of flake style) i shred with a fork and knife. all of the powder. most of, but not all of the hot sauce packet. microwave to ensure the cheese melts. top with black pepper. i've also eaten them as-is (albeit with a little too much water) and the spice level was too high for me, but it's basically a spicy alfredo with a hint of indistinguishable umami meat-flavor. the spice overpowers the flavors, in my opinion. so bringing them out with real milk, real cheese, "real" meat, really elevates it. (and also because i didn't realize this the first time because the english instructions are unclear: this is a pasta. you cook the noodles alone and then strain all the water out before you add sauces and such.) also also. "cream carbonara" is different from "carbonara." i specifically get the cream one because it is milder.
the classic samyang i use about 1.5 tablespoons of the soup base, all of the toppings. i do egg-drop ribbons. and then sometimes i'll toss other stuff in depending on what's in my fridge. maybe some chicken or meatballs or lunch meat. edamame i feel is too firm but maybe a softer legume or vegetable. the more stuff you add, the less spicy it will be, so i'll add more soup base if i think it's too bland. the flavor of the soup is like... smoked ham? but it's actually halal. and it's spicy as well.
the milk toast i typically slice into four pieces, and put all four in the toaster (even the "end" pieces) for a VERY short time (because they burn easily). and top with either a fruit jam or butter + honey + schechuan pepper. you can also eat the cube as-is by pulling pieces off and eating them as you would a baguette. it's a sweetened bread so it's not really meant for savory things like sandwiches. and it's shelf-stable for several weeks at least, although it starts to go stale over time. the bags each contain four cubes that are like... 3 x 3 x 3 inches i think? the slices just barely fit in my toaster
the UCC brand of melon soda i used to drink a lot when i was a kid but i can't find it anywhere around here anymore. it makes for a nice treat every once in a while. very refreshing. the mango flavor is good too but not as much as the melon
the salted-vanilla pocky is seasonal (for summer) so i'm going to be sad when it's gone. but it's a really interesting flavor contrast. it reminds me of "milk pocky" (which i've also been unable to track down for years) and it's also sort of pretzel-like with the salt coating. really good
the marshmallows, if i'm not careful, get devoured in one sitting. they're loose in the bag, not individually wrapped like other marshmallow candies i've had before. and they're also smaller in size. the mango jelly is really good
i haven't tried a lot of japanese chocolate but i was impressed by how creamy this lotte bar was. i'm also a sucker for strawberry-flavored chocolate in general. i'm curious to see what their milk chocolate is like
and, again, not sponsored. no code. nothing. but i get my asian groceries through Yami, which i find is cheaper than amazon. i click the "fulfilled by yami" box so everything ships at the same time and it's coming from california, rather than overseas. i haven't had any issues with them so far. but if you actually have access to these groceries in your area, support local asian grocers rather than buying online. i live in a food desert, so this isn't possible for me unless i drive quite a distance, and even then, there are not many options

Note
everytime you post noodle sanmdwich i am tempted to try . what is your secret recipe if i may ask
well if you really wanna try
ingredients:
- 2 slices of white bread
- samyang buldak spicy noodles the ones with the chicken on them. this guy
Tumblr media
it can be any flavor idc
- some kind of processed cheese slice nothing is restricted to one brand babey
- square ham
- fuckton of butter
you can leave out anytjing you dont want but since this is a noodle sandwich you have to keep the noodles. also you cant leave out the butter i lied sorry
1. prepare noodles according to package instructions (THEYRE RLY SPICY BTW i only use 1/4th of the spicy sauce packet in these things. theyll burn your mouth up unless you can handle it)
2. butter each side of the two bread slices
3. put butter in hot pan
4. at medium heat, fry bread in butter until golden brown, (1-2min per side probably)
5. while it's on the pan and youve flipped one of the bread slices, put the cheese and ham on the flipped slice so that it melts hopefully
5. i dont want to flip over a sandwich on a pan so i just put the toasted bread aside and assemble the sandwich on like a cutting board. cheese ham noodles in that order, or whatever you want idk
6. cut it diagonally like god intended
7. enjoy??? hopefully
that's mawss's cooking blog post for the day thanks for tuning in everyone

This one is a classic in our household but I personally dont love it. I dislike things that are all spice and no flavor, so I often add a bunch of things to this ramen to give it more of a kick.
2) HOT chicken carbonara

Noodles with Samyang Carbonara: A Hot Take on a Classic
Samyang Carbonara Noodles is a spicy Korean instant noodle that twists classic Italian flavors. It combines the fiery kick of Samyang's signature Hot Chicken sauce with a creamy, cheesy sauce inspired by carbonara. This unique fusion offers a spicy, savory, and creamy flavor profile. While reviewers acknowledge the heat, the cream sauce is said to temper the intensity compared to the original Samyang Hot Chicken ramen. Each serving is a compact 130g, perfect for a quick and flavorful meal. If you're adventurous and enjoy a spicy challenge, this Samyang Buldak Carbonara might be worth trying. You can find it online or in Asian grocery stores.
