Ezra the horse

Older brother to most of the servants of the manor and best friends with Connor the goat, Miles is the horsemaster often turns a blind eye to any tomfoolery happening on the farm (eventhough he has been working there the longest). Often he is there to plant the seeds of nonsense and disorder in younger members to see if they can actually pull it off. Although many view him as a troublemaker, he genuine cares about the estate, family, and servants.

Imagine having to go into hiding, so the Horsemen take you to the one realm that’s so far off the beaten track, no demon would ever think to look for you there.

They take you to the realm of the Horsemaster. He’s reluctant to have you, of course, but he gruffly accepts the Four’s request and puts you to work tending to his herd, hiking out to fill water troughs all over the plains, tying hay-nets into trees etc.

One morning, he emerges from his home to find you sitting under a tree, surrounded by his wild, untameable horses, all of whom are content to peacefully graze around you while you doze in the early, golden light.

i mean, what were you actually going for with this conversation, bioware? to suggest that the player character is overreacting? like thanks, i was just racially profiled by the quartermaster and cassandra told me i should start believing in her god, i would suggest every human andrastian to stfu from now on. i don't care if dennet didn't mean it in a bad way, it was a racist thing to say, but in the way that the conversations ends at this bullshit explanation it sounds like bw actually thought it was fine? like yk, usually when decent people accidentally say something racist, they apologize and not double down on how it actually wasn't racist in the first place. and it's yet another conversation when player character can't react in any way, can't call out this bs, bcos the conversation moves on.

Dennet: Feels good to be back at work, Inquisition. And lucky you have me.

At Haven Dennet: In lesser hands, you'd be in trouble. Haven can't support the mounts you need. But I can.

At Skyhold Dennet: Mountain air like this, not healthy for many animals. But I'll make do with your little fortress.

2 - General: How are the horses? PC: How are your charges? Well supplied?

At Haven Dennet: Haven is groaning under the weight. It wasn't built for this. But we'll make it serve.

Skyhold not repaired Dennet: Not the environment for these numbers. Can't stable an army in a mountain pass without supply lines. But we'll make do.

First set of repairs (leaving and returning to Skyhold) Dennet: Surprisingly well. Not many could feed these people, let alone their mounts. Makes me wonder what you're capable of.

Final set of repairs (completing HLtA or WEWH) Dennet: Over supplied. Never thought a mountain pass could seem like luxury.

Fun fact: this design is what led me to make this blog! I wanted to capture a horsemaster who manages the horses for an army, and went through several designs before settling on enlist and token production. I think this one is fairly clean, but having three non-keyword abilities on a creature is always going to be a bit clunky.

From 5/6AC; Theo's father was lost in the outset of the First Dornish War, and Theo is now Ruling Lord of Highgarden and The Reach, and the second Lord of The Mander since Aegon's Conquest. In the immediate few years Theo will be consolidating the claim of House Tyrell, and settling in to the role of Lord Paramount of the Mander outside of a time of immediate war. He would be facilitating taking in Lady Posey Gardener as his ward. After 8AC, loosely, it will be in a time where House Tyrell's claim over the Reach has been completely solidified, he is well settled into his role as Lord of the Mander; managing the Reach with a steady hand, and has formed a strong bond with Posey. Additionally Theo would now be advised to seek out a bride, as House Tyrell's reputation steadily climbs (to the ire of other noble houses) in The Reach.

A bastard conceived by Lord Mace Tyrell during Roberts Rebellion, after the Battle of Ashford. Consequently, gossip would say how Lady Olenna Tyrell was terrifyingly infuriated with her idiot son; who had arrived later to the fray, claimed most of the credit, and then gone on to impregnate the younger sister of Lord Ashford. Lord Mace Tyrell was sequestered to a handful of rooms Highgarden for the duration of the pregnancy, scolded like a child. Lady Olenna discretely had the pregnancy concealed; Lady Reona Ashford was moved to Highgarden, cared for and hidden, until Theo was born wherein she was given a good match within the Reach. Theo was given to a servant woman who worked for House Tyrell, and raised amongst her children, not recognised by Mace, nor aware of his lineage.   This AU is set within The Game of Thrones Era.

A bastard born of House Hightower, or possibly House Tyrell, descent.  Mushroom likes to claim Theo is bastard of Ser Otto Hightower himself, conceived with an unknown Targaryen in the misguided hopes that he might sire a Dragonseed of his own, but that rumour has been unfounded. Theo was raised around Oldtown; he found work helping the smiths and builders primarily. Remaining hungry for experiences and knowledge, so he also found work with the stable-workers; where he developed a deep love for working with horses, his steady touch with them soothing most any steed. Lastly he could be found the kitchens, where the older woman who all-but raised him worked. Theo had always been strong, in body, will and mind; and would often spend a part of his free time learning letters from other, more literate, servants of Oldtown.    This AU is set within House of The Dragon Era.
