I’ll probably never not get into a brain tizzy over Disney’s claim that their Sleeping Beauty is based on Perrault’s “la belle dormant.”

I suppose it’s similar in some regards — it has a “Christening” of sorts and fairies (even if earlier Grimm drafts did too). The fairies put everyone to sleep after the curse takes effect. (Everyone falls asleep in Grimm too; both take time to describe the frozen and silly tableau of sleeping people and animals.)

But where Disney’s deviates from Perrault — 100 yr sleep vs a few hours; waking up when the prince kneels by her bed vs waking up when the prince kisses her (Grimm); ogress mother-in-law vs happy ending right after kiss (Grimm). So...

Celebrating birth = Perrault

Fairies = Perrault (& early Grimm)

Up a tower & spindle (Grimm)

Fairies put everyone to sleep (Perrault)

Deadly looking briars (Grimm)

Awaken by a kiss (Grimm)

Ends soon after (Grimm)

What I think bugs me is that the parts that match Perrault are in Grimm too. In earlier drafts, the Grimms had fairies too, I believe.

Not gender only, can be used in the same fashion as inviane or aldernic maybe even classified as something related to it but not quite, as images are not inherently needed. (Users can use it as they wish, maybe use it in the way aldernic terms are used, inviane terms are used, even dissomeis if that helps. Etc, no restrictions on that lol.)

Personal omnisexual/-romantic flag redesign.

[ID: Two identically designed rectangular flags of 5 even horizontal stripes, the colors go from top to bottom as teal, light blue, off white, warm lilac, and reddish purple. In the first flag there is a symbol consisting of a moon crescent with three heart-shaped different size leaves overlaid on it (the first leaf is bigger than the two others and conceals the two leaves beneath it almost completely, only leaving the tips to poke out on either side of it.) With a lily flower overlaid on top of the crescent and leaves. It's all in the colors of the flag; dark teal, light blue, off white, warm lilac, and reddish purple. The crescent is a gradient color of dark purple to off white through warm lilac and the second flag is blank./end ID]

So, the colors of the og flag looked good but we're a bit off to me due to how dark they were making the flag look a little eyestrainy if I do say so personally.

Color meaning stayed quite the same; The teals for masculine gender & presentation, off-white for those outside of binaries regarding gender and presentation, and reddish purple & warm violet for feminine gender & presentations. I did realize that I flipped the blues and pinks like much after I made the flag and compared it, but I don't mind that lol. Looks better imo.

So heres my flag + the symbol I whipped up for it; it consist of the general crescent that is seen with the mspec mono labels & the bisexual symbols, but it also utilitizes a lily for flower symbolism (as I found out that one of the many symbols of bisexuality was at some point a trillium flower, which belongs in the order of liliales. The flower (trillium) hasn't been further used in other flags or as a symbol for bisexuality save for the Mexican bisexual flag to my knowledge.). No specific lily mentioned for now (if ever). And also leaves that are supposed to be closer to Smilacaceae's leaves (another flowering plant under the order of liliales.), however they did end up on the shorter end. I'm not proposing the symbol for other omnis or folks who use the flag to use as it was originally made for personal usage, however if they want folks and such can use it and if needed I can upload the separated layers for it as well.

The reason this is labeled as both omnisexual and -romantic redesign is because I'm both on some level and I don't care to have different flags for the romantic counterpart personally. Y'all can do whatever y'all want, it's just the Omnirose attraction label redesign lol.

from my very biased knowledge of these two, I'll say this:

If I want a captain who'll be able to handle broader crisis problems, I might not vote Luffy.

But if I want a captain who will be my friend and fight for me and my freedom/happiness no matter how strong or powerful the opponent is, I will always vote for Luffy.

This...all this -ness...plays a part in why I think Luffy is such a liked character. You don't have a character doing this kind of thing...this vibes-ness...for like two decades without it garnering appeal in one way or another (chaos, coolness, liberating, fighting structural societal oppression)

It's not an accident that until this point Luffy has been absent from the auction house. Without him there, the Straw Hats try to follow the rules of the World Government and fail miserably. When Luffy does arrive, it's not by walking politely through the front entrance, kowtowing to the rules of the house in a vain attempt to win Camie back. He's a pirate. He doesn't care about what the World Government wants. So he crashes through the door, disrupting everything, causing a scene, and frees not only Camie but all the would-be slaves that had been put up for sale.

Adjusted + 7 stripe whump-/whumpee-/whumper/caretakergender flags :)

We really do like our whumpgender flags, huh..

Anyways, made some adjustments to the current flags (or the remake flags specifically lol) bc the colors either were disharmonious, too desaturated, or just plainly looked oddly placed.

Design/term notes:

- The flags are still in the same 9 stripe formation (and color scheme arrangements) as before, just evened out.

- The bottom bit is supposed to be a "homage" to the general whumpgender flag which has a mixture of the flag colors pulled into one; that was the idea behind those colors and now they've been made to match the flags more properly.

Funnily enough the added white stripe is the brightest with the caretaker flag than with the whumper flag (which it's not even there, it's just a light brown color and the whumpee flag's stripe is off white in return.) And finally got rid of the tomato red stripe from the whumpeegender one, I swear it looked so out of place on the long run unlike when I made them, what was that thought process even?

The whumpeegender flag's top colors are supposed to symbolize bruises and recovery. The bottom stripes are for hopelessness (the light greenish stripe) and whumper whumpees funnily enough for anger.

The caretakergender flag's top stripe colors are symbolism towards what we think caretaking feels like. The bottom stripes are for the caretakers that might take matters into their own hands; anger and possible whumping of the caretaker.

The whumpergender flag's top stripes are supposed to symbolize anger, lethality and danger. The bottom colors are more to symbolize the whumping process.
