hello!! this is an rp/ask blog for fem!mob. this isnt going to be that serious, just something fun to do every once in a while.

some basic info about this blog:

this iteration of Shigeko takes place before the events of Season 3, but after those of Season 1.

since Shigeko doesn't have a computer of her own, she's using Reigen's in the office to manage the blog :)

just about every character is a girl, just for fun.

Things that happened in the N25 main story that they have never brought up again:

OWN in its entirety. Did Mafuyu ever update everyone via community post that she isnt dead? Does anyone miss OWN's songs?

The fact that what lead to Kanades dads downfall is that he created some uber popular commercial jingle, this jingle is presumably so popular it's still being used in commercials widespread today. Can you imagine Kanade going out in public and hearing that jingle and getting triggered by it. Can you imagine the horror of being triggered by the equivalent to the mcdonalds jingle

Do you have comic recs for Chamber? He's one of those characters I've always been interested in just based off his design but I've never actually looked into what to read for him.

There are two options; you could either read in chronological order and start with Generation X (1994) #1, or you could start with Chamber (2002) (his 4 issue solo series) just to get a good introduction to Jono's character and then read Generation X (1994)

If you already know that you really like Jono and don't need an introduction then I'd say go ahead and start at the beginning with Generation X.

These won't be all of his appearances, i'm limiting this just to 616 and these are just comics that I think are essential reads for any Chamber fan.

Ayda's Chamber Reading Recommendations

1. Generation X (1994)

This is his debut series and has so many great moments, I'd even recommend reading the Annuals (especially the '97 and '98 ones) as well as the Generation X Underground Special (1998) these aren't required they're just great reads)

2. Uncanny X-Men #395-398

These issues follow Chamber after he graduates from Gen X but before he accepts the offer to join the X-Men. Incredible character moments for Jono

3. Chamber (2002)

This one could even be your starting point, it's that good. It's only 4 issues but it follows Chamber on an undercover mission at ESU. I recommend it as a starting point because it's so isolated, (its disconnected from any other stories going on at the same time) and allows the reader to focus on Jono's character without having to also focus on other characters/events. Just great all around imo.

4. Weapon X (2002) #15-21

Chamber plays a major part in this arc, and it gives you important context for the next comic on this list.

5. Generation M #1

This issue follows Chamber after he got depowered during M-Day.

6. New Excalibur (2006) #9

This issue continues to follow Chamber after getting depowered.

7. New Warriors (2007) #2-20

I'd personally skip over this i'm ngl... he's certainly in the book but he does next to nothing and his character design and abilities are completely different. you can read it if you'd like but it's unneeded.

8. X-Men Legacy (2008) #248

He doesn't really play a major role in this issue, it's just here for context as to why his powers were restored lol

9. Generation X (2017)

As much as I bemoan some of the creative decisions made in this comic, I loved Jono being a teacher and coparenting with Jubilee.

10. Uncanny X-Men (2018) #11, #14, #15, #17, #18

This is during X-Men Disassembled, and I personally loved the decision to make Chamber join the Morlocks. However while i only listed the issues Jono was in, you may want to read the whole series (even the Chamber-less parts...) in order to be able to follow along with the plot.

11. Weapon X-Men

This one hasn't come out yet but it releases on the 19th! Chamber's going to be a main character and I'd definitely recommend reading it when it comes out.

I hope this list wasn't too confusing. I tried to limit it to stories where he actually did something important instead of just being a side character that talked every once in a while.

I like how dream-Lestat makes a reference to Romeo and Juliet with "Romeo! He's barely Balthasar...", because Louis is forever hung up on Lestat and their relationship. Star crossed lovers, cursed by the stars, etc. To dream-Lestat, Armand is only the servant who tells Romeo that Juliet is dead, an innocent mistake that causes Romeo's death; which in the context of iwtv is turned into Armand's spiral of deception about Lestat that causes Claudia's death. In Louis' mind, he is relegated to worse than a side character whose only purpose is to muddy the waters and cause more tragedy.

While Louis forms a connection between himself and a tragic romance, Armand makes a comment about Hamlet to Santiago, "too old to play Hamlet, too young to play Polonius", which is so layered to me. Santiago is not Hamlet, his metatheatrical ploy is not a mean to rightfully dethrone Armand/Claudius and Louis/Gertrude. Santiago is also not Claudius, scheming to kill a ruler to steal his kingdom – though he may see himself that way –, because he is not even good enough to be Polonius, who Hamlet mistakes for Claudius behind the arras. He's too old to throw a princely tantrum but also dumber than a bumbling courtier.

I think Armand is also casting *himself* as Hamlet through that comment. Mistrusting everyone, pretending to be what he isn't and – whether he realizes or not – embodying pure inaction. Letting the tragedy wash over him, constantly thinking but never managing to be.

As a treat and to tie all this up, Daniel can be Horatio. In a privileged position to see through the ruse and telling the story to the world (including us).
