SUPERBOYS!!! 🧡
Tumblr media
Last time I drew two Batgirls and now you get the Superboys! A duo that I will always lament not getting more of because if you knew me, then you know sibling dynamics are my bread and butter. While my previous drawings were all for tiny stickers, this one was turned into a small print, so it was quite a surprise. XD In any case, I realized that because I draw the Supersons quite often, I hardly draw others, so here's some doodles on the side. Seem familiar? -Bubbly💙

Irredeemable my foot
Hi everyone, I decided to write a fic centered on Chloe; is a sugar fic. I always liked her character. And I would like to dedicate this fic to Sienna, aka @catsandfanfic. Happy 14th birthday. Her birthday is March 6th. In my time zone it’s March 6 so hopefully you’re not getting this too early. I hope your birthday is amazing, and I really hope you enjoy this fic; i heard you like Maribat. And @justdyingontheinside gives you a shout out on your special day.
Chloe knew how everyone expected it to go. The blond could admit… She was spoiled, selfish, petty, and insecure, with mommy issues galore.
But she wasn’t a villain. Yet she could understand why people thought she’d go down like one.
Nevertheless, for people to think she’d ever willingly work for Hawkmoth; a man who ruthlessly used his power to corrupt the hearts and minds of innocents (like her father, mother, Adrien, Sabrina, and everyone else in Paris) and use them to further his own agenda… was too much.
The people who believed that was basically saying Chloe was irredeemable; that there was no way she could ever be anything more than what she was. Like she couldn’t grow. Like she couldn’t better herself; like everyone in the world had that ability except for her. She was fourteen-years-old.
           Only fifteen!
Why was it so easy to write her off?
Chloe Bourgeois was a bully, not a freaking serial killer.
She wasn’t a Supervillain.  However, Chloe could admit, that for one brief moment when she realized she was passed over yet again by Ladybug for the chance to help save the day, hurt and anger had filled her. That if Hawkmoth had sent a butterfly after her that maybe… MAYBE for a second, she’d take his offer.
At least, he thought she could be of some use.
It wasn’t fair, Chloe remembered stomping her foot as jealously filled her.  Why didn’t Ladybug pick her? She was so much better than all those other stupid heroes! So much better than that mangy Chat Noir even. Queen Bee would be a much better partner. If she could just prove it!
And that suddenly it was like a lightbulb went off above her head, the kind you only see in cartoons. A smile spread over her face.
The dark butterfly that was headed her way suddenly changed its course.
Yes, Chloe had thought, that’s what I’ll do. I’ll prove it. I’ll show them all. I’m a hero. And I’m going to save everyone!
She could be better.
She would be better.
(And once she did, maybe Ladybug would think so too)
Nevertheless, even if Ladybug never knew. Chloe would. She would know she did the right thing because it was the right thing to do; no other reason. That would be enough for her. Even if it meant she’d never be Queen Bee again.
Chloe was going to prove she was a hero after all. With or without the mask or magical powers.
The world thought she wasn’t redeemable. Well, she was going to show the world what a real redemption arc looked like.
The first thing needed to do was plan. Hawkmoth was too strong. He needed to be brought down fast before he becomes unbeatable. Ladybug was perfect but she was still just a kid. She needed more help.
Outside help. Chloe knew there were other superheroes out there. The Avengers. The flash and his team in central city. Superman and his superfam in Metropolis. The Teen Titans. The Justice League. But to beat Hawkmoth would take stealth. It took intelligence. And people used to dealing with total nutjobs in costumes. Heroes who could help finally crack the mystery of who Hawkmoth was.
           Paris needs the Batfamily.
Which means Chloe was going to Gotham. But she wouldn’t go alone. She needed an Ally, or preferably Allies.
Chloe decided to figure out who was who on the best board of life.
The first was easy Ladybug was the White King; a true, just, and kick-butt hero. Chloe made herself the Queen; because whether Ladybug knew it or not, Chloe had just become her strongest protector. (She only just manage to argue against making Chat Noir a pawn; instead named him a Knight.) Sabrina, though had some major insecurity, was a good friend of Chloe. She was smart enough not to fall for Lila’s fool’s gold.
Sabrina had learned at the heel of her father when it came to detective work. She had mastered computers thanks to her mother who was a high-level computer programmer.  She knew self-defense since her parents shoved her into Karate when she was younger. The redheaded was organized to the point of being OCD. She was loyal to a fault.
With a little confidence, Sabrina could be a real asset to Team Ladybug. And she would be. Chloe just needed to show that she trusted the redhead, believed in her.
Chloe wished she could bring Adrien in but he was a civilian with the backbone of a twizzler. He was too forgiving and to sheltered from the real world. It had worked in her benefit before, otherwise, he’d have dropped her as a friend a long time ago. But things had changed. Chloe needed friends who would stand up against her not just threatened to not be her friend anymore. It wouldn’t do any good in the long run after all.
Hawkmoth was the Black king; pure evil. The Peacock shrew was his Queen. And, Chloe decided, Lila was his bishop. The sausage haired was a manipulative, rancid, liar. And from what she had seen of Lila’s akumatization, the Italian girl was fully in control of her actions. Which meant Lila was working with Hawkmoth willingly.
And since Lila was the only bad guy she could give a real name for, Chloe decided she would be the key to bringing down Hawkmoth.
Thus Lila Rossi became public enemy number one.
Lila was dangerous in a way hawkmoth couldn’t be. She lied and twisted minds with no powers whatsoever. She turned nearly all of Bustier’s class into untrustworthy minions. They should’ve been White; on the side of good. But they had proven to be disloyal and easily influenced. The class couldn’t be trusted.
They had turned against the one person even Chloe had a hard time not deeming a Saint.
           Marinette Dupain-Cheng.
Chloe strongly disliked the girl, mostly out of envy. The blond didn’t need therapy to know that she wanted what the bluenette had; a mom that adored her, a dad that actually tried to help and not just throw money at any situation, sheer talent, and pretty much the instant admiration of almost anyone she met.
However, she was also strong and fierce. Marinette was a force of good hard to reckoned with. Chloe needed all the help she could get.
Which meant recruiting Dupain-Cheng for the cause.
That might prove harder than getting Batman to help out.
When Chloe and Sabrina showed up at the bakery and politely asked to speak with Marinette, she was given a suspicious look by Marinette’s mother (Sabel or something, Chloe couldn’t remember). Still, she called her daughter downstairs.
Marinette walked into with a bright happy smile that quickly faded when she saw Chloe.
“We need to talk, Marinette,” Chloe forced herself to say the other girl’s first name. “Its an emergency.” Sabrina nudged her. “Please.”
It was obviously the shock of Chloe saying please that got Marinette to take them up to her bedroom.
Marinette tried her best to smile, “So what’ s the emerg-” Chloe cut her off.
“We’re going to Gotham to recruit Batman and his fam,” Chloe told her. “To help Ladybug bring down HawkLoser. You coming or not.”
           The bluenette just blinked.
Sabrina winced at her best friend’s lack of tact, “What Chloe is trying to say is… We could really use your help. Ladybug could use your help. Everyone likes you. You can convince Batman to come.”
“…Why?” Marinette asked after a moment of silence.
“Ladybug needs help!” Chloe told her. “Chat Noir throws tantrums all the time. Hawkmoth has the Peacock and Lila at his deposal. Ladybug hasn’t called in Rena or Caraprace in almost a year, so there has to be a reason for that. She needs help! She needs us!”
The Asian girl nodded slowly, “I mean, why come to me? Why help Ladybug like this?”
Chloe frowned, “Because you always do what’s right; the good, noble thing even if it’s utterly ridiculous for you to do so. I’m doing this, helping, Ladybug, because she needs help. I’m a hero, no matter what anyone says or thinks. And Heroes help.”
The bluenette looked at the two girls. They had been a thorn in her side for years. But she always thought they could change. She believed they could. And coming to her, Chloe archenemy, was proof that they were changing. “What’s the plan?”
The blond smiled. “Sabrina managed to outline the patrol routes for the batfamily.”
“They switch who does what route but there is a predictability to it,” Sabrina added. “The idea is to force a confrontation. I’ve gathered evidence to show them so they could understand the gravity.”
“My job is to get us,” Chloe said. “You have plenty of time to come up with one of Disney motivational speeches to get them on board. We leave for Gotham tomorrow.”
It was after midnight. Three girls stood on top of an old condemned building in the heart of Gotham; dressed in black, shivering from the cold.
“By my calculations,” Sabrina said. She held a computer under her arm. “At least two of the bats should be by monitoring the area during this hour.”
“And we’re sure this is going to work?” Marinette asked.
Chloe smirked, “Oh yeah.” She took a deep breath and screamed. “AHHHHHHHH!! Help!! Help! Someone please!!” She gave a fake sob and fell to the ground; causing Marinette to jump back in shock. She looked up at Marinette and Sabrina with a wide grin on her face, “How was that?”
“Become an actress,” Marinette told her. “Let me design the dress you wear when you accept the Oscar.”
There were two loud thuds behind.
“What’s going on?” A tall hero they recognized as Nightwing asked.
“We heard screams,” Red Robin stated.
“Its go time,” Chloe told them as she got up.
Sabrina nodded firmly as she opened up the laptop and started quickly.
Marinette smiled at the heroes, “Hi. My name is Marinette. This is Sabrina and Chloe,” She motioned to her friends. “We’ve come from Paris to seek the aid of Batman to stop a supervillain that has been terrorizing our city.”
Red Robin stepped forward, “A supervillain? In Paris?”
“We haven’t heard anything about it,” Nightwing said. “We know there are heroes there that takedown small-time villain, But nothing too damaging that we’ve seen.”
“Hawkmoth possesses people,” Chloe hissed. “Turns them into monsters. Turns kids into monsters. Literal Babies into monsters. A girl who can control the weather and could end the world.  Another who absorbed energy from people so she could travel back in time. Until the people she steals energy from will freeze and slowly disappear. A man with the power of the Egyptian gods and tried to revive the dead. A villain who could trap people in pictures. Another that can bring people the worst nightmares to life. How about one that caused most of the citizens of the city of Paris to drown. One man caused all that happened. Our city gets destroyed over and over again. People die over and over again. Hawkmoth is behind it all.”
Sabrina turned her laptop to them, and show the video they clipped together. “This is a news real, videos sent from regular smartphones.” The video showed proof of the fights, the monsters, the deaths, the damages, the terror. “Check any new channel centered in Paris. It will show you. This. IS. Real.”
Marinette fought the urge not to tremble as she remembered every villain she fought. “Ladybug fixes the damage the akuma causes; including bringing people back to life. But the people who die still remember. Ladybug can’t do this alone anymore. Even the help of Chat Noir isn’t enough. If Hawkmoth gets what he wants, it could be the end of everything and everyone.” It hadn’t been for a long time, she thought bitterly. Chat Noir loved the glamor and excitement of being a hero but it was like he never really felt the burden of the weight of Paris on his shoulders like she did. To him, it was all game. Or some stupid action movie. And he was too busy trying to get the girl to realize that they might not be able to save the day.
The bluenette looked hard at the heroes, “We need help. I know it’s not your city. I know you don’ have to care. I know you have your own villains and problems.” Tears burned in her eyes. “But we wouldn’t be here if we had other options; if we could handle it by ourselves. So We’re asking anyway. Will you please help us?”
Two identical horrified looks were on the batkids’ faces. Dick and Tim looked at the three kids, thousands of miles away from home, in the middle of the most dangerous city in the world, at night, to beg for help against what sounded like an undeniable monster. The teen girls were scared, near hopeless, and willing to ask for help from Batman and his family, heroes most civilians were too scared to even cross paths with.
Their situation was dire. Direr than the risk of being three, alone, beautiful, teenage girls in Gotham.
The other bats had been listening and or watching the conversation and were equally horrified. But that quickly gave way to fury.
“Red Robin, I want the intel off Sabrina’s computer,” Batman growled. “Oracle, I want everything you can find on Hawkmoth. We’ll start preparing to leave for Paris”
“On it,” Barabra stated. “I also brought up info on the girls. They’re all clean. Sabrina’s dad a cop. Marinette’s an all-star student, who has quite a few famous friends. Chloe’s the daughter of the Style Queen and the Mayor of Paris.”
“I get to kill Hawkmoth, right, B-man?” Jason asked. “I mean, I’m watching a video where he turned a crying baby who literally just wanted a lollipop into Gigantitan and used him to terrorize people. That’s gotta be a free pass on the killing thing.”
There was silence. No answer from Batman.
“Holy shit, are you considering it?” Jason asked stunned. “Kids really are your Achilles’ heel.”
Nightwing nodded. Batman always had a soft spot for kids. But even Dick was considering beating Hawkmoth to death. “Batman has agreed to help.” He told the girls who visibly sighed in relief as weight had come off them.
“May I use your laptop?” Tim asked the redhead. Sabrina nodded quickly and handed it over.
Nightwing observed the girls, “What else can you tell us about Hawkmoth?”
“No one knows his identity, obviously?” Chloe rolled her eyes. “His Allies include another villain named Mayura, identity unknown. And a civilian named Lila Rossi.”
Sabrina still couldn’t believe Lila stooped so low. “We have evidence that she has been willingly working with the known terrorist Hawkmoth and has allowed herself to be akumatized multiple times.” She pushed up her glasses. “She’s in our class. She has been lying and causing emotional distress to multiple students, increasing Akumas.” Lila had always caused the near break up of Ivan and Mylene, Nino and Alya, and for several friendships to nearly be destroyed. It was awful. “We think she will be the best way to finally snuffing out the villain. She has some connection to him we’re trying to figure out.”
“Suspects?” Damian asked in comms. “Stop being obtuse. We need to know who they suspect.”
“Robin, you shouldn’t be on the comms,” Batman reprimanded. “It’s your day off. Relax.”
Tim nodded, “Any leads on Hawkmoth’s identity.”
“Just one,” Marinette admitted. “A man named Gabriel Agreste. But we ruled him out after he was akumartized.”
Chloe snorted, “That’s stupid.” She said. “If Ladybug’s cure can heal the damage of an akuma, including what’s inflicting to her and that Alley Chat; there’s no logical reason, Hawkmoth can’t use his own powers on himself. To think otherwise, would be ridiculous. Utterly ridiculous.”
Sabrina agreed, “Or he could’ve gotten Mayura to use it. I mean Ladybug and Chat Noir switched before. Why couldn’t they?”
Red Robin nodded, “That’s a good point. We’ll investigate him further.” He told them. “How much are you involved?”
The girls shared a look. Chloe stepped forward proudly, “I was the Hero, Queen Bee.”
“No!” Marinette said strongly. “She is the Hero Queen Bee; a loyal friend and ally of Ladybug.” She swallowed hard as she fought the nervousness. Tikki and her had talked about what would happen next. Chloe had proven herself as far as two were considered. The blond deserved a real chance to prove she what type of hero she could be.
Marinette took a deep breath and reached into her bag and pulled out a necklace and a hair comb that Chloe recognized instantly. A series of emotions flashed over the blonde’s face; recognition, understanding, disbelief, envy, embarrassment, frustration, acceptance, and then finally a look of admiration.
“Here,” She handed the comb to Chloe and the necklace to Sabrina. The kawami’s floated out.
“My queen,” Pollen purred as she landed on Chloe’s shoulder. The blonde looked ready to cry.
Trixx spun around Sabrina’s head, “Kit. I have new Kitt!”
           The batfamily was just confused.
Marinette straightens up, “Chloe for your show of loyalty, for your dedication to justice, and for your willingness to help from shadows; I name you an official and permanent member of the miraculous team. Keep moving forward. Keeping bettering yourself. I believe in you. And I welcome Queen Bee back.”
“Wha…” Nightwing said only to be cut off by Chloe
She yelled, “Pollen, Buzz On!" And before they’re eyes, she transformed into the hero Queen Bee. “Eat your heart out, boys,” Chloe smirked at the stunned heroes.
Marinette giggled. She focused on Sabrina who now realized exactly what was about to happen. “Sabrina, when Chloe brought you, I didn’t know what to expect. It turned out you had spent months researching and gathering evidence. I didn’t there was proof Lila was working with Hawkmoth willingly, you did. You saw through the lies and deception to find the truth despite the danger it could bring you. Which why I give you the kwami of Illusion.”
Sabrina shakily put on the necklace. Trixx patted her head, “Now say, Trisx let's pounce.” The redhead did as she was told as was instantly transformed into a fox themed hero. Unlike Alya, Sabrina’s look was grey and a startling silver. It was more like an actual combat uniform.
“Truth is neither right nor wrong,” Sabrina stated. “It's not good or evil. It's not light or dark. Truth just is. I am Renarde Gris.”
Marinette smiled and then said, “Tikki, Spots on.” And was transformed into Ladybug. Her suit was different; darker and better armored. “I am Ladybug.” She told the bats. “And I thank you for help.”
Nightwing opened and closed his mouth repeatedly.
Red Robin just pinched his nose, “Did you just make a civilian into a superhero just like that?”
Ladybug tilted her head innocently, “Why? Isn’t that how batman got you?”
           Jason snorted, “She ain’t lying.”
“You were trained before going into the field,” Batman corrected. “You all were. But let’s focus, Ladybug is a child!”
“You’re just a kid,” Nightwing said. “You’ll all just kids.”
Sabrina crossed her arms, “Weren’t you the first Robin? And didn’t you start at like ten-years-old? At least we’re teenagers.”
“And we don’t dress like traffic lights!” Marinette and Chloe snapped together, to their surprise, and then high-fived with a laugh.
Red Robin examined Ladybug in a new light, “You’ve been protective Paris for three years.”
“Alone?” Damian growled in their ears. “Father, you said I was too young. I am the same age as them. I demand to be treated befitting of my status.”
Ladybug shrugged, “The current Robin has protected Gotham on his own many times. He’s even led Teen Titans on missions. He has proven as I have that age is meaningless in the pursuit of justice. “
Nightwing shook his head, “You’re just kids. Robin is just a kid.”
“Tell me, what bothers you more?” She asked. “The line of children that followed in your footsteps. Or that current Robin is better than you ever were.”
“…I love her.” Damian said. “Father, I love her and I will marry her.” It went quiet. “Red Robin, tell her of my affections. Superboy wants Chloe’s number. Spiderman requests Sabrina’s. I still don’t understand, why, you thought a ‘kids’ game night’ was necessary, father?”
           Batman just sighed.
Tim cleared his throat, “Robin would like to, uh, court you.” He said. “Superboy would like Queen Bee’s phone number.” He could wait to tell Conner that Jon had a crush. “Spiderman request Renarde Gris’.”
           The girls all blushed prettily.
“Then he can hero up and ask me himself,” Sabrina smirked in a way that made Chloe proud.
“Same,” Marinette said with a smile. Chloe nodded in agreement.
“…We’re on our way,” Damian said into the comms.
The sigh that answered that statement clearly belonged to Bruce.

A superfam reunion:
      “Family— where life begins”
“ and love never dies. ”
Featuring: @ofconnerkents , @superboyjon , @lvislcne
Clark : Clark couldn’t sweat, but he’d been described the feeling enough times to know he would have been sweating now. If things were different, if he were normal. Funny, just about everything would have been different if he were part of the normal. Already he’d tripped three times. Though thankfully they’d all been before the food was picked up. Inside the bags the boxes crashed against each other- signaling that yet again his hands had begun to shake. To say he was nervous would be an understatement.
Still, his unsteady hand reached for the door. Then he lightly brought his fist against it twice.
Conner: Conner kept tapping his knee as he sat on the couch frozen. He had been dressed up to the nines–Jon’s idea which seemed almost ridiculous but Conner did it for his brother. After asking Lois hundreds times if she needed any assistance, he figured getting out her hair would probably be best. Why he was so nervous was beyond him. Conner was always brave and confident but for some reason when it came to Clark, his walls came down rapidly. All he wanted was to feel included in this family and for Clark to recognize him as an equal–something Conner was sure was never going to happen.
Lois: Lois hadn’t exactly been sure as to why this “family gathering” was so important. They’d done it time and time again, be it all three of them or the occasional guest like Kara or Diana. Still, she complies because she wanted to make her son happy. Perhaps there was some grand scheme she didn’t know about. That was confirmed the minute she heard the doorbell ring. With a smirk on her face, Lois made her way to the front door. “You guys didn’t tell me you invited someone,” she called, twisting the knob to wrench it open. However, on the other side, the guest was someone she never had expected.
Jon: jon had told his dad to come over and that it might be dinner, yet he had not told his mother about it. conner knew but only because jon was not really able to keep anything from him. it was a brother thing jon had decided after so many times he had tried to keep something from him, but failed because conner always knew when something was up. the young son of superman sat besides conner to know that the person who sat right next to him loved him no matter what. the steps was far away at first but he knew his father was coming, he had been listening after him for a long time. “ mom!” he called out right before she walked out to answer the door he had planed on opening it himself. “ it’s ––– ” before he stood close to his mother she had already opened the door and there he stood. man of steal looking at his family he had once left. jon looked with his blue eyes right at his father and gave a very awkward wave behind his mother “hi dad” he hoped they’d not be mad.
Clark : It was rude to stare, Clark knew that. Yet when his eyes found Lois there was no way he could tear them away. She was breathtaking, even more beautiful than Clark remembered. How was that possible? How was it possible that after all his time, there she stood— right in front of him. He’d been expecting Jon to open the door, his son had reassured him he would. But it shouldn’t have surprised him that Lois would go and make her own plans. There they were, his family, standing right in front of him as if no time had passed. As if he never left. Clark’s gaze moved towards Jon for a moment. He smiled at his son before turning to Lois again and lifting the Chinese food up into view. “I brought Chinese.” As if the action was normal.
Conner: Conner felt out of place. He didn’t need to be here. He was doing it for Jon and of course for Lois but this was just a fantasy and he knew it. Clark was never going to be accepting of him no matter how many times Jon corrected him. He watched with a soft smile as Jon called him ‘dad’ and he felt an ache in his chest. He always wondered what it was like to have a father. Lois in all aspects of the word was like a mother to him but the entire situation still confused him like mostly everything in this world. He stuffed his hands into his dress pants, keeping his distance from everyone. From the looks of it, Jon had arranged this without Lois knowing and Clark proabably didn’t know he was there. He decided to walk into the kitchen to gather some utensils instead of lounging around.
Lois: Lois’ breath caught in her throat as she took in Clark. Five whole years… God, she didn’t think it was possible for someone to look even more handsome, but his Kryptonian genes once again outwitted her. Lois had half a mind to reach out and touch him, to ensure he wasn’t a figment of her imagination, but she was scared. Instead, she stared at him, drinking in every single detail she’d missed for five years, from his curly hair to the same pair of shoes he’d loved. “Chinese, eh?” Lois’ voice shook as she stood in front of him, barely moving. “Clark,” she choked out, her large blue eyes filling up with tears.
Jon: truth be told jon had not been expecting water to come out of his mother. she was always so strlong and kept things for the most part wrapped up he was guessing that seeing clack again was one of those things that did not really go too well with her put together self. since it did not seem like she was much able to answer him jon nodded to his father and said “thanks, we like it” he wasn’t really sure if he should leave and let the two work it out for a moment or if he should stay being ready to do something if anything happened. “come in” he told clark as he did step aside still trying to decide if he should go stay with conner right now
Clark : Clark stood frozen as he watched Lois. It was as if there was nothing else in front of him, nothing else his eyes could focus on but her. He kept telling himself he left to protect her, but the look in her eyes proved otherwise. Her tears were proving otherwise. He’d ended up hurting her instead. The guilt had taken over, it was getting hard for Clark to think straight- or maybe that was just the sight of Lois in front of him. A moment later Jon’s words shook him awake and in a daze Clark stepped inside. This was all such new territory he didn’t know what to do with himself. Was he supposed to reach over to hug her, extend his arm for a shake?
Lois:Lois wasn’t entirely sure as to what she was supposed to do as well. A good part of her wanted to slap Clark straight across the face; it wouldn’t make much of an impact, at least physically, but it would make her feel better. The other part wanted to fall into his arms, as she had done time and time again. With trembling hands, Lois closed the door behind them and stood still, continuing to look at him. It felt so surreal. After a second or two, she finally began to move at a gradual pace, still weary of the new vibe in the atmoshere. “Clark.” With a bit of trepidation, she came up behind him and wrapped her arms around his torso, face face burrowing itself into his back.
Clark:The action caused Clark to turn to stone, instantly freezing in place. He had expected Lois to react so many ways, but this hadn’t been any of them. Really he was just preparing himself for a fight… a fight he could handle. His free hand reached out to lay over hers, looking up at Jon for a moment, a small smile on his lips. The feeling of Lois’ arms around him was making his heart race all over again. “Here son, why don’t you put this on the table?” Clark’s voice was quiet as he handed the bags over to Jon.
Jon: it was very strange for the young boy two see two people who both loved him, and got him into this world look like strangers to each other. he could hear how his mother was feeling almost and his guess was that clark was feeling that too. he decided that the best he could do for them right now would be to let them be alone; or at least not try and stand between whatever they decided to do. so he smiled to his father as he nodded " okay, yes" taking the bag he stopped to look at his mother for a moment to make sure she was alright. of corse he would not leave here if he didn't think she would be. it might be strange for the two of them but they all knew it might be for the better if he kept away for a bit. he'd text kara to inform her about it all and see if she felt it was a good idea to come over or not, because jon had invited her too without his dad knowing it.
Conner: Conner could hear every single heart beat from the kitchen. It wasn't easy to distinguish the three and he waited until they seemed settled enough for him to walk in. He grabbed a few utensils, bracing himself for what was to come. He truly didn't belong at this dinner. He shouldn't have accepted the invite even if it meant Jon getting mad a him for a while. Conner was just happy that Clark could make ammends with Lois and hopefully be there for Jon as well. Nothing else really mattered at that point. "Hello" He reappeared and felt like a complete stranger already. "I brought some utensils. Hello Clark. Welcome to your home."
Lois: People were buzzing in and out of the entryway; people truthfully being Conner and Jon, but Lois felt as if she was frozen in place with her arms around Clark. Now that she was touching him, she couldn't let go. She could feel him breathing underneath her palms, feel the warmth of his hands over her own. "I'm really mad at you," she murmured against his back, despite her actions saying otherwise. "I'm not going to sugarcoat it; you really hurt me. But..." Lois let out a sigh, tightening her arms around his frame. "I'm glad you're here."
Clark Clark should have been expecting the unexpected by now. Of course, Jon wouldn’t just invite him for a simple dinner, there had to have been a catch. He couldn’t blame the boy though—surely he did it with good intentions. Jon just didn’t understand Clark’s hesitation towards Conner… no one did. His eyes lingered on the boy. Had he grown? Clark couldn’t really tell; all he could focus on was home. Had Conner taken his place in his absence? Was this now considered his home? “Conner.”
Without any other sort of response, Clark placed his other hand over Lois’. Not fighting the smile that tugged on his lips with her words. “I know.” He whispered, just before letting out a long sigh. This was it, this was where he should have been all along. Yet, he’d waited for an invasion to tell him just that. “I am too.” They should probably be heading towards the table by now, but Clark couldn’t bring himself to break their embrace.
Jon: " that's good" jon said looking over at conner giving him a smile. he hoped he would no be too mad at him after this, he did have right to be but jon still hoped he would not. he just wanted everyone to get along, the could be a family again maybe? because conner was a part of that family, no matter what clark did think or not. "food" –– jon said as he placed the things from the bag around the table so they all could eat and maybe not gang up and kill jon since he bet most of them wanted to right now.
Conner: Clark's reaction towards Conner was almost expected. There was not much more he could do to make ammends. He wasn't even sure what he'd be working towards. Clark's hesitance towards Conner was always a mystery and to make matters worse, Conner always wanted to impress him and go above and beyond. Why would he want to put in so much effort for someone who didn't care about him? He was starting to believe he was designed this way. It was almost torture. Always one to follow rules and to be respectful, he waited by the table beside his brother before pulling out a chair. "Alright, little brother, I'll wait until the others sit." There was so much hesitance in his tone, his body language. He was clearly uncomfortable. He felt like he had walked into someone else's life. This wasn't his. It would never be his no matter how much Kara, Jon, and Lois tried to condition him. He wasn't about to leave Jon though but as soon as dinner was over, he'd excuse himself and so he pulled out his phone and shot Bart a quick text about meeting him afterwards.
Lois: Lois knew full well that she should have let go of Clark by now, but she couldn't seem to muster up the will. Still, it was probably best to go join Jon and Conner in the dining room; she didn't want to weird her son, well sons, out with her behavior. It wasn't like Lois to be overly clingy. She was a strong, independent woman who happened to love her husband unconditionally, regardless of his isolation for the past five years. After a few more moments, she broke from Clark, but subtly slipped her hand into his to guide him towards the kitchen area. Lois gave his much larger hand a small squeeze, wanting to reassure him that he was exactly where he was supposed to be, even with the lingering anger and hurt she felt towards him.
Clark:There were so many emotions at play. Confusion, guilt, love, awe, bitterness. All of them played an equal part in that breath he let out, in how slow his walk was as he followed Lois. He shouldn't be surprised that this place looked different than theirs before- yet he was. Again the familiar turn in his stomach happened, reminding him of just how much has changed. Just how much he'd left behind. Once at the table Clark froze, though he'd been thankful for Lois' squeeze of reassurance, now he didn't know what to do. He stared off at the chairs for a moment, a polite smile on his lips. Would it be rude to take the head of the table? Would that imply something? If he didntnt take it- would Conner?
Jon: it wasn't that jon really did think too much about it, since this was a situation he had never actually dreamed of happening. of corse he had hoped that one day they all might be a family again but not like this. but he truly could tell how weird and odd everything felt between them all. it was his mother, all her feelings towards clark –– and then clark and his feelings for lois and conner –– and last conner and his feelings towards clark. sometimes jon felt like he actually didn't get why he tried because he was the only one who wanted a happy family, maybe it was just a stupid childhood dream. his bright blue eyes he got from his father looked at the bunch for a few moments before he moved to take the head of the table. jon might be the youngest, but since clark left it had always just been he and his mother in that house. conner and kara would often come over but they did not live there.
Conner: Conner waited for Jon to be seated before he took his seat, pulling the napkin on the table onto his lap. He waited, patiently, hands off the dinner table and broke the silence with "Thank you for having me for dinner. I like spending time here with Jon and when Kara comes over too. Things have been difficult since my return...for everyone and I think having you back, Clark will make a lot of people happy. So...to family." He didn't quite understand how toasts worked yet but he was just speaking his mind. Not really wanting the attention on him and just wanting to make it known that Conner didn't exist to make maters worse. "It smells delicious."
Clark: Once Jon and Conner were seated Clark made his way around the table, pulling out the seat on Jon's free side and waiting for Lois to sit. He let a hand linger on her shoulder for a moment, rolling his eyes at her comment on his old charm. Then took the seat at her side- where he belonged. He had a moment of blissfull peace until Conner's words shook him back to reality. A tight smile took place on his lips as he listened, studying Conner's behavior. When Conner was finished Clark raised his glass along with him- his eyes on everyone else. "To family."

Six Fics for 2016
Heeeeeyyyyyy so who’s doing this meme three weeks late? This guy
I have no reason for my laziness, so apologies to the amazing @secretlystephaniebrown who invented this meme and tagged me for my sluggishness! It was just really hard to pick fics, and honestly I only managed to do so by deciding I should only pick ones that are finished and aren’t being continued on into 2017 or are part of ongoing series!
So without further ado, my Six Fics for 2016! May it be a year we never have to repeat again:
6. Caboose Alone (Red vs Blue - 12 Chapters)
[Post-Season 13 Finale] When the smoke cleared, when they finally made it back to their heroes, only one of the Reds and Blues was left standing. Caboose is all alone now.
aka @powerfulpomegranate made me do it.
To describe any one day more miserable than the other felt a bit factitious at that point. But if Washington felt like taking a note in hyperbole, he would humor considering the worst days the ones where Caboose had his checkups with Doctor Grey.
Caboose was a large man, nearly half a foot taller than Wash himself, who was already not short by most comparisons. Usually it was an asset that Caboose’s bulk added up to some useful strength, but not when Caboose wanted to do something, or worse when he couldn’t do something.
Wash didn’t remember much after they had boarded the ship, some fleeting gunfire in the distance, shouting -- the images were there, but they were jumbled, scattered. They didn’t run smoothly like a movie reel, but rather were all assorted and mashed back together awkwardly. It was a nightmare -- a massacre -- in that room. The fighting had continued on even as the ship was crashing down and as best as they could estimate, the Reds and Blues had continued fighting even as the ship turned itself on its end.
It meant blood and gore had been everywhere -- on every wall, on the ceiling, over top the ones who had fallen.
And then there was Caboose
5. We Won’t Need 60 Minutes (Batfam/Superfam - 1 Chapter)
Bruce needs someone he can trust to break the news of Cassandra's adoption in the world of media blitz. Fortunately he knows the best.
If you give me a prompt where I can put Lois Lane and Cassandra Cain in the same room, I will absolutely run with it. That’s my promise.
Give me any prompt in the world that allows me to put Lois Lane and Cassandra Cain in the same room and I will kill over from joy. Or write a sappy one shot.
Lois took a seat at Bruce’s desk and kicked her feet up. “Did Bruce tell you who I was?”
There was a thoughtful gleam behind Cassandra’s eyes that Lois latched onto immediately. Bruce was right, she hadn’t said much but already Lois could see the girl was highly intelligent.
“Yes,” Cassandra answered again.
“Well, he probably did it wrong,” Lois shrugged. She held out her hand and smirked at the girl. “I’m Lois Lane. Reporter for the Daily Planet. Here to ask the tough questions so other reporters don’t have a new spin even if they try.”
4. Worth Fighting For (Red vs. Blue - 1 Chapter)
The lieutenants are sent by the general to scout a distant city for the possibility of reclaiming it after the loss of Armonia. It's a simple scouting mission, but nothing about their discoveries of a war and time before their service is simple.
People forget, but I actually got my start in the RvB fandom by writing stuff that mostly concentrated on my beloved children, the Lieutenants, and getting to focus on them again this year was something I actually put a lot of heart into, though I think it flew under most people’s radars. Oh, well, it was definitely one of my favorites.
“Palomo’s the youngest,” Jensen snorts, patting him condescendingly on the head. “Go figure.”
Palomo takes it, flinching only a little with each thwap but there’s something more serious and focused to his eyes than usual. After he chews on his lip a bit, he looks to the rest of the squad and quietly points out what really should be obvious.
“If you guys are only nineteen… doesn’t that mean none of us were even in kindergarten when the war broke out?” he asks.
They fall silent for a moment, focusing on the words.
“It’s kinda weird,” Palomo shrugs. “I think I’m only a New and not a Fed because that’s what my parents were, y’know? I guess I never really made the choice. I mean. I guess I was lucky! I just got to be on the right side because my parents were on the right side.” He looks at them cautiously. “Right?”
The question hangs between all of them thickly, suffocatingly.
“Of course,” Andersmith finally answers. And it’s settled.
3. Words Better Said (Transformers - 1 Chapter)
[Vaguely post-MTMTE #54] Rewind and Chromedome made it through the Dying of the Light with what remains of the crew, but there are far too many words that are still left unsaid. Sometimes it has to be someone's job to say what, to everyone else, must be obvious.
I need -- I mean, literally, on a visceral level I need to write more Rewind and Chromedome, because I love them so dearly and I have SO many thoughts and feelings about them and their relationship and gosh this was cathartic to get out after MTMTE truly threw us for a loop.
If it were him on the table, his Domey would not have moved, would not have ever looked away. Chromedome’s entire world would have been that seat by Rewind’s side. He knew this because on the Lost Light he had missed, this(his) Domey had done just that.
But Rewind struggled. Not with the commitment, not for a moment because his spark did not pound with worry for his beloved, but because he had to deal with the fact that they hadn’t talked about it yet.
His choice.
The choice Rewind had to make because Chromedome honestly couldn’t see for himself what it was that Rewind thought he so obviously felt.
It hurt to sit there because Rewind was an archivist. His mind was a library of thoughts and memories and neatly packed away reminders of every stupid choice, every dumb word he had made over the last several years.
The case was laid out before him, in Rewind’s mind. And he couldn’t believe how stupid – how selfish he seemed in hindsight.
2. The Problem Is (Batfam - 1 Chapter)
The problem is Harper isn't so sure how to handle her crush.
I will forever be the guardian and patron saint of BrendaxCassandra, no one make any mistake, and with Blüdhaven back in the picture so is the possibility of my all time OTP for my fav, but man CassxHarper can get me RIGHT in the feels, and I adored filling out this prompt.
Harper specifically has herself cooking for two, and when the night stretches into morning and she’s sitting by a window that hasn’t been opened yet, when she feels her chest twist and ache with disappointment from the day ending without a drop by of Cassandra Cain.
The problem is it’s suddenly a problem when she eats alone. Even if she knows there is no obligation for someone to join her.
The problem is that laundry day waits for a second pair of sweats, and that some pajamas aren’t in rotation because they’re someone else’s favorites to wear.
The problem is that when her playlist gets to “For Good” she cries now laying on her bedroom floor like she never understood the meaning of the song before.
“Uh oh,” Harper says.
Because the problem is that uh oh means she never thought she’d let her guard down enough to hurt this way before. And the problem is that she’s got no one to blame but herself.
1. Took a Wrong Turn at Normal (Red vs. Blue - 1 Chapters)
Simmons was just fine with Grif dating other people. Just fine. No problem at all.
*breaks into your home and bangs on all the pots and pans* EVERY YEAR NEEDS A LITTLE GIMMONS + MISCOMMUNICATION PROBLEMS
While Simmons would never make the argument that things started off innocently, they had been pretty simple at the start of it all.
“It’s like a mutual thing,” Grif had proposed. “I mean, what else are a bunch of guys going to do in the army? Not have sex with things?”
Then again, Simmons did have a tendency to edit history however his brain saw fit.
“I hope by things you mean people and not, like, objects,” he had countered nervously, looking around the barracks.
“Depends on the mood,” Grif deadpanned. “So what do you say, Simmons? Fuck buddies or not? C’mon. Everyone’s doing it.”
Simmons also never quite learned how to deal with peer pressure.
At least it was a handshake he did not later regret.
And that’s my six fics for the year!! Hopefully over 2017 I’ll improve and give you guys more quality!!
