AFK JOURNEY RUSTPORT TRAILER THEORIES!!

Also BIG APPLAUSE to the Lilith team for this trailer, the music and visuals were absurdly good. I will be listening to the soundtrack and researching for the animation

Okay okay soooooo we’re gonna move in chronological order of the second video

Alright, the “Carmine” whispers:

The “Carmine” part is new, I guess they added it as an adjective? Weird. The name whisperers is from “the faint whisper coins make on cloth while being picked out of pockets.” I’m sad to loose that…

This guy in the glasses is also new. With this scene composition of Sonja and unnamed guy on the sides with glasses guy in the middle, it looks like he might be the boss of the Whispers here. Very different from the OG story, where Sonja and Nara built up the Whispers together as its bosses, before Sonja took over completely.

However, we get a snippet of Sonja pointing her cane toward Glasses McGee, so there’s likely internal conflict arising. She might overthrow him or something.

I don’t have any info on the guy on the right tho.

Sonja herself looks pretty different now. Less roses on the side of her head, and more thorn imagery on her design. No other major changes tho.

This snippet seems to allude to Rustport now being involved in weapon or some other form of manufacturing. Probably will be part of the main conflict. This is purely from the idea that they wouldn’t show anything in a trailer if it was irrelevant. There has to be a process of why they include shots right?? 😭😭

HODGKIN!! The dead tide fleet is here!! Looks like they’ll be against the Carmine whispers. This artifact (or relic, as he says) looking thingy that Hodgkin is holding seems pretty important. It may be why he has the allegiance of these sea-graveborn esq creatures. In the trailer, it kind of activates, and then a large Kraken like thing starts grabbing at the ship.

Nara is also in cahoots with the Dead tide fleet this time around. We see her fighting alongside them during both trailers. Means she’s no longer a whisperer??? We don’t know what happened to her in Arena after she died, so I have nothing to go off. Seems like they’ve got some form of an agreement here.

There’s that pretty new ranger woman, but her design screams fan service 2 me so rn I feel like she’s not entirely lore relevant. She’s probably got her own side story.

This new guy, Sinbad, seems to be our companion in Rustport. A handy magic compass and a history of treasure hunting means he could be after that artifact Hodgkin has. My theory is he grew up in Rustport, knows the town well, and has some kind of personal agenda against both the dead tide fleet and the Whisperers. He’s called a merchant in the first trailer, so I suspect he’s a black market relic seller in Rustport.

Graveborn lore!! Viperian has appeared 🙏 as an “unconventional” scholar, he’s either in Rustport for research/testing, or travelling with Nara and Hodgkin for his own reasons. With this season centred around LB/GB, we’re (hopefully) getting some more content of him.

AHHHHHH I love these two… little Nara and little Sonja… 😢😢

But it looks like they’re against each other in Journey. Or, Nara wants something from Sonja? She’s actively fighting against Rustport, maybe even wants to destroy and take over it. More likely that’s she here solely for Sonja tho. Her line at the end of the trailer “now you’ll never forget me, Sonja…” alludes to a possible misunderstanding from Nara, that Sonja had forgotten about her completely. Either way, they’re fighting each other 😢

Okay, now for more personal speculation. I’ll be referencing a lot of the OG story from Arena here.

Originally, Nara reawakens from the dead because of both her extremely violent nature, and her deep desire to see Sonja again. “The survival of the Whispers, or punishing the traitors—they were all irrelevant now. All she wanted was to return to Rustport, to the Whispers, and to Sonja's side, where those warm hands could once again comfort her icy soul.” She literally has a vision of Sonja’s hands reaching out for her when she wakes up again 😭😭😭

In this new Journey trailer, my guess is that Nara has been fed fake info— something along the lines of that Sonja didn’t care she was dead, and now has double the power she used to. Their dynamic looks like depressed grieving gf and angry resentful gf. It could’ve been Hodgkin or Viperian manipulating her.

I can’t think up any reason why Hodgkin would be attacking Rustport. He’s been known as “the most ruthless pirate” of the seas, feared widely and being infamous for his title. But I don’t remember him being after property or wanting to take over towns like that. I mean, he’s from Rustport. This could be a character rewrite (wouldn’t be new).

The big plot of this season looks like Whisperers vs Dead Tide Fleet, with the sub plots of Nara v Sonja, Sinbad, Relic (probably related to the Hypogeans or something), and Hodgkin against glasses boss. I wrote this up fast and we only have two videos out rn, so I’ll wait and see.

maybe i’ll write something longer about this at some point but the choice that bell’s hells made in terms of which activity to do first i feel like actually illuminates some of the party’s issues and is why (particularly their truths) it seems like parts of the activities might just exacerbate their issues. like in particular the choice to do honesty before communication because honesty is required for communication is an interesting choice. like on the one hand i understand the logical steps and reasons they have for that, but on the other where imogen just took of her circlet in demand of honesty without insisting on communication as well and where orym had a conversation with ashton insisting that ashton know the group truly cares for him but also incidentally implying that ashton shouldn’t communicate the extent of whatever demons he’s fighting because it will get in the way of the fight on the horizon… i think perhaps communication is the first step for this group.

because the group has honesty, very recent events aside — and even the ashton and fearne lying thing was Very very short term — what they don’t do is communicate around that honesty. imogen in particular is immensely honest but often expresses it in ways i wouldn’t consider communicating in any beneficial sense, which i think also tracks for how willing she was to be honest. the problem for the group tends to come in that there are various degrees of willingness to communicate and several different modes of communication that they’re trying to use that aren’t cogent with the group actually communicating as a group.

and this isn’t malicious or ‘fault’ of any one member in a pejorative sense — the ones i think tend to be the ones who make it hardest for the group to combine honesty and communication have very understandable reasons for the forms of communication they lean towards. imogen’s bluntness because of her association of thought with character given her access to peoples thoughts as much as the expression of them, fcg’s similar but not identical habit of taking in everyone’s emotions and suggesting solutions but not actually really having conversations around those experiences/emotions (tho this is changing), fearne’s reluctance to express any discontent or fear about what’s happening in the group but willingness to lie to avoid those fears, orym’s tendency for simply pushing through problems due to his own experience with grief (which as other users on here have aptly explained is not a good emotional solution for many things other than grief). so while they all have rationales for the communication/willingness towards honesty they posses, it’s definitely still the responsibility of all of them to find ways to communicate that allow them to work as a group.

obviously i cannot predict the future and i don’t like doing serious predictions about the show in anyway because a) i think it’s useless and boring but b) literally anything can happen. that said, i do think that the honesty challenge As The First challenge might’ve had the effect of just being the exact same thing the hells have been doing for the past 3(?) in game months. which, the rapidity of everyone’s confessions paired with the other two challenges and the recent Heightening of the Circumstances will hopefully mean that they deal with it some way - whether that’s resolving problems or further party fracturing i’m excited to see.

Pairing: Lady Lesso x reader

Note: Happy April Fool's! And Easter Monday! This day just calls for a fic like this.

You could have expected it. Should have, really. As the freezing cold water slowly seeps into your clothes being watered down from head to toe, you’re more disappointed in yourself rather than your students. They were the offsprings of pure evil after all, rotten to their very core. After the salt and sugar switched in your morning coffee, stinky mushrooms exploding in your office and poisonous vines sneakily hanging from the hallway’s ceilings, you should have known better than to step into your classroom without checking it out first.

April fools was after all a very popular concept amongst the nevers so you would be almost let down if they didn’t try to achieve some misdemeanors this week. And it was only Monday. How are you gonna get through the whole week you had no idea. Maybe it’s time to put on one of those scary armors that roam the corridors or just take a vacation. That however would be a sign of weakness and cowardice and that was foreign to you as a fellow never.

So you teach the lesson proudly in your wet clothes and at the end leave after all your students. You carefully turn every corner, looking out for any clues on their next trap. You spend the rest of your day watching over your shoulder and rather carefully tasting everything you’re about to eat or drink. You’re determined to not let them fool you even one more time, the score already being too prone in their favor. They keep teasing you a little longer and you’ll come up with a payback so severe they could never see it coming.

Clearly you weren’t observant enough tho because as you’re walking over the bridge talking with Dovey after today’s dinner, she steps on a wire that activates a mechanism which pushes you both over the edge into the muddy water. As if you weren’t soaked and humiliated enough for today, as you crawl out from the water to the small beach by the castle, a thrower full of confetti and glitter explodes over you. The laughter of your students fades as they run away, hopefully at least a little scared of your possible revenge.

You make your way into your bedroom, luckily without any other stupid pranks in your way. Your wife is already comfortably sprawled over the sofa in front of the lit fireplace and the flames dance over her face making her ginger hair shine more than usual. You sigh heavily as you close the door and she looks over at you from the book in her lap, clearly finding your state very amusing.

“Shut up.” You warn her before she can even say anything.

“I wasn’t going to laugh at you.” Leonora says but her face betrays her.

“Yeah, very funny. This is all your doing anyway.” You pester her.

“How come?” Lesso questions with her head tilted slightly to the side.

“You raised them like this. Audacious and impudent. You’re responsible for their stupid jokes.” But even you knew you couldn’t blame all the student’s effrontery on their dean.

“Why don’t you rather go clean up in the bathroom?” She offers instead.

“If YOU try to fool with me I swear to heavens I’m gonna divorce you.“ You warn your wife as you make your way to the sink.

Lucky for you, or more for her, she didn’t play any childish pranks on you and you took a long shower without her interrupting. It took a lot of effort getting all the mud and confetti off yourself and you’ll be lucky if your dress is still gonna be washable and wearable. There was still some glitter in your hair and skin you couldn’t get rid of, but it’ll have to be enough for now. When you return to the warmed-up bedroom, your wife is still sitting in the same position reading her book.

“If it’s going to make you feel better, I’m gonna threaten them all with a good long stay in the doom room tomorrow.” She proposed as she extended the blanket draped over her legs for you to sit under it next to her.

“It’s fine. I’ll just have to be more alert. It’s a good practice.” You admit, not really mad at your students anymore. “You should see my office, it’s a disaster.”

“It can’t be that bad, can it? I’m sure you won’t let them fool you again.” Leonora comforts you as she kisses your forehead.

“It’s not bad, it’s even worse. This morning they switched the sugar and salt, so my breakfast was ruined. My office stinks like a hundred years old troll and I had to spend a whole hour teaching soaking wet. I could hardly get a word out over the teeth chattering. Which I’m sure they found pretty amusing.” You explain all that happened in your horrendous day. “Mother-fucking stupid April fools.”

“Well it sure will be better tomorrow.” Lesso instinctively tries to warm you up.

“I should probably be proud of them for succeeding, but they better watch out tomorrow cause I’m coming back after them.” You admit, picking on the loose strands of the blanket.

“I’m sure it will settle down, they just got too excited for today.” She admits, if there’s anything that bores the nevers it’s repeating stuff they already succeeded in.

“Yeah yeah, whatever. I’m tasting the sugar before I put it in my coffee this week though.” You remind both yourself and her reaching out for your own book that was waiting for you on the coffee table.

You settle down next to Leonora leaning on her shoulder as you get back to reading your own unfinished book before going to bed. A cozy, calm, silent evening was what you needed right now after a day full of surprises and pranks. Little did you know she wasn’t really paying attention to the words in her book anymore, already planning her revenge on her students for tormenting her beloved wife.

A stray kids guide for beginners!

A hopefully helpful guide to anyone trying to get into stray kids!

NOTE: (if some info is inaccurate or has changed let me know!! If there’s an issue leave a comment and I’ll update!! This is just from research I have done)

Member # as of posting: 8 (group use to have 9 members when it first was created but due to personal reasons one member left leaving 8, the 9th member was Kim Woojin.)

Fandom name: STAY

group name: Stray Kids

Abbreviation: Skz

Group mottos: “Stray kids everywhere all around the world” & “you make stray kids stay”

Who’s Jyp?:

JYP entertainment is Stray kids record label / producer (like the company their group is represented by) (the guy himself is often made fun of by the members 💀 due to his rather unique takes on the choreography and vocals…)

When did stray kids form?

Debuted as a group of originally 9 on March 25th 2018. They formed in 2017 initially from a reality Tv show called JYP entertainment. In that show Felix and Lee know were originally eliminated from the group, Felix due to his Korean not being the best and Lee know because JYP labelled his raps weak so to speak. However after their initial elimination they worked hard and enhanced their skills leading to them later in redemption episode they were eventually brought back into the group.

Members:

Felix (Felix Yongbok Lee): known to be the sunshine with deep voice, 24 yrs old, 1/2 Australians in the group, crys on stage a lot, birthday is September 15th, sub rapper & dancer.

Bang chan (eng name: Chris): leader, single father of 7/j (his “kids” are his group members it’s a fandom joke), 26 yrs old, oldest, 2/2 Australian in the group, Known to be very kind hearted+protective of stay, very strong work ethic, birthday is October 3rd, like the groups leader + producer.

Seungmin (Kim Seung-min, English name is Sky):

Dubbed the “Puppy” of the group, our favourite comedian, 24 yrs old, ceo of roasting his members, pretty chill, Birthday is September 22nd, main vocalist.

Hyunjin (Hwang Hyunjin, eng name is Sam): the artist of the group, ceo of side eyes, sassy+drama queen (we love), age 24, Birthday is March 20th, Lead dancer & visual.

Lee Know (Lee Min-ho, English name is Rhino): cat dad, almost like the mother of the group/j, can be quiet + struggle to express emotions, doesn’t like conflict, age 25, birthday is October 25th, main dancer.

Han (Han Ji-sung, English name is Peter): constantly munching /j, very playful+charismatic, age 24, birthday is on September 14th, main vocalist & lead rapper.

I.N (Yang Jeong-in, English name is Bob): youngest of the group, sweet but can switch up so fast, age 23, birthday is on February 8th, vocalist & maknae.

FNAF The Silver Eyes Adaption (WIP)

So update: I’ve been held back by college this year from making progress for this project. I’m in the process of sketching right now, and thankfully, I have a solid script to work with. I’m still debating whether I should make Charlie an Asian-American or not, but I’m loving their designs so far! I also made their colors more muted to fit on the vibes I’m going for with this comic.

As for the changes I made…

With Charlie:

As I said, she’s most likely going to become Asian-American in this comic. No specific reason for this change other than I just get bored of drawing characters of the same euro-centric ethnicity.

The plot:

As I said, no cyborg Charlie concept! Definitely no Baby appearance too! I’ll add other characters from the games to substitute for Baby’s omission, can you guess who they were? 👀

Carlton plays a bigger role in my iteration, but I’ll make sure to give everyone a spotlight in the plot!

I tried not to cut as much from the original novel as I did, but I rearranged and added more dialogue into their interactions! I’ll be honest, I may have indulged myself a little too much with the (lowkey) found-family dynamic I gave them

Who am I and what do I do?

I go by El for short (most used), Eloise, or even Eli if that’s what you’d prefer (though not very used); she/her prononouns.

Summary:

“Can we go get him?” Sodapop asked, pushing himself back to his knees as he put his hands on the couch. Even Darry had found himself wanting to go find Sodapop’s best friend so that they could do this ‘planned activity’. “I’ll go with him,” Darry offered before their mom could refuse Sodapop his request. “We can go get Steve and come back, we’ll be really fast!” Darry added, eyes darting towards their father hopefully. Both Curtis parents were thoughtful. “I suppose,” Their dad spoke, smiling as both Darry and Sodapop brightened up. Ponyboy had started getting fussy, and was beginning to cry and kick his feet like he did when he had headaches. “There wouldn’t be any harm in them going to get Steve. Darry can handle his brother on a walk, Sharon.” “Oh, alright. Go, but be fast.” Their mother smiled, brushing Pony’s hair back as he looked up at her with tears streaming down his face. “Oh, let’s get you some headache medicine, yeah?” Darry didn’t know what she did after that. He and Sodapop had just been excited to be able to go on this walk by themselves.

One of Darry’s favorite memories was from when he was ten.

It had been nearing halloween, and there were arts and crafts halloween decorations decorating the walls of the house. Darry was ten, Ponyboy was only four, and Sodapop was nearly seven. Their parents had been planning something all week, and it had Darry and Sodapop excited just wondering what it was, and Ponyboy was excited because his brother’s were.

“When can we know?” Sodapop asked, bouncing on his knees as he stared wide eyed up at their mother, who was sitting on the couch with Ponyboy in her lap. Sodapop was on the floor, too energetic to sit on the couch since Ponyboy was curled up and napping in their mother’s arms. Darry was also sitting on the floor, his homework on the table out in front of him nearly finished. He’d been taking a break at the time.

“You’ll know soon, okay?” Their mother had laughed, shifting her hold on Ponyboy as he made a noise in his sleep. Sodapop humphed, turning and sitting normally, his legs spread out in front of him before he was turning towards where their father was sitting in his chair.

“Dad-”

“You heard your mother,” Their dad laughed, and Sodapop pouted, crossing his arms for a moment before moving. He moved towards Darry, leaning against him as he tried to understand whatever homework had been in front of him. Darry didn’t remember what it was now, but he thought it had been math, or maybe science. It could have been anything, though.

Darry remembered that Sodapop had made a noise of discontent, moving and pushing Darry’s homework away, trying to convey that he thought, or had decided that, Darry should have been done with it now.

“Come on, Soda, I gotta finish that,” Darry had complained, but he didn’t try reach for it either. Sodapop moved to half lay across his lap, his back across Darry’s legs as he gave Darry a look. Both of them, and their parents, knew that Darry wasn’t even really trying.

“It’s Friday! You can do it tomorrow,” Sodapop told him, nodding as he crossed his arms. “Or even better, do it on Sunday!” Sodapop added, kicking his feet into the air and stretching a bit like Darry had seen some cats do, moving his arms to keep his head off of the floor.

“Speaking of it being Friday,” Their mother cut in, laughing lightly as Ponyboy’s eyes opened with a glare on his face; he was annoyed he was woken up. “Where is Steve? Usually he’s here by now.” Darry could remember that Steve would usually be at their house from the time school let out until his mom came to pick him up, preferring the Curtis family company to his father’s. Even his mom being there most days didn’t help.

“Dunno, said he had something to do.” Sodapop shrugged, not yet concerned about his friend.

Darry knew that in just two years, Sodapop would begin to have anxiety over not knowing their friend’s whereabouts. It would worry him so much that he would beg for sleepovers, just so that he didn’t have nightmares about whatever his mind could cook up.

Ponyboy wouldn’t understand it, and he would be annoyed by Steve’s constant presence. He’d leave one day, mad that Steve was over again, and Darry would chase him down, because Darry was always chasing after his kid brothers, and they would meet Johnny.

“I hope he’s here soon, or we can’t do our planned activity.” Their mother had smiled mischievously, even as she absentmindedly soothed Ponyboy. Sodapop gasped, eyes wide as he shot up into a sitting position.

“I’ll go with him,” Darry offered before their mom could refuse Sodapop his request. “We can go get Steve and come back, we’ll be really fast!” Darry added, eyes darting towards their father hopefully. Both Curtis parents were thoughtful.

“I suppose,” Their dad spoke, smiling as both Darry and Sodapop brightened up. Ponyboy had started getting fussy, and was beginning to cry and kick his feet like he did when he had headaches. “There wouldn’t be any harm in them going to get Steve. Darry can handle his brother on a walk, Sharon.”

“Oh, alright. “I’ll put my homework away when we get back!” Darry called out to their father, his shoes half tied as he grabbed his and Sodapop’s jackets. Sodapop was already out the door and waiting at the metal gate, jumping up and down. He would get cold half way through the walk, and Darry knew that.

“Alright!” Darry had barely heard their father’s response.

Getting back with Steve, who was a little downtrodden, brought a smile to the eight year old’s face. Darry had seen the switch, and had, unfortunately, recognized it. Paul sometimes looked like that when he and Darry hung out at Darry’s house. People just seemed more relaxed here. That, and some of the decorations that he’d left at the Curtis house had been put up alongside Darry’s, Sodapop’s, and Pony’s.

They’d made caramel apples, which Sodapop called poison apples, and candied apple slices that night, and Steve got to stay over for the entire weekend, which had just made Sodapop’s weekend. Though, Darry was sure who had a better weekend, Steve or Sodapop. Both acted like it was the best thing to happen to either of them, and Darry remembered Sodapop’s reaction to hearing that they’d have a baby brother, even if he had barely been two at the time.

Darry never did learn why Sodapop called caramel apples 'poisoned apples’, maybe because it was halloween and he’d been reading fairy tales at school in his reading class. There was one in which Darry vaguely remembered having poisoned apples in it. Sodapop always did associate things with new things he learned. It helped him remember everything better.

Darry wiped a tear away as he listened to the gang talking excitedly in the living room. First Halloween without their parents, so of course it had him reminiscing. He wondered how bad Thanksgiving and Christmas was going to be, if he was this choked up about Halloween.

He was leaning back just beside the door to his room, a couple pictures scattered out in front of him. He had never known just how Sodapop and Steve had ended up with caramel on their noses, it should have burned them with how hot the caramel sugar was, he had figured that out when he had wanted to try it.

He still had a bit of a scar on his top lip, just under his nose from where it had gone up when Darry had also bitten the spoon in his surprise of how hot it was. Had not been a fun experience, and probably why that memory was so vivid to Darry. He remembered that Ponyboy had laughed loudly around then.

Ponyboy had managed to get his hands on some of the softening caramel when their dad wasn’t looking, and his entire hand was covered in it. Thankfully it had been cooled off and just mushy, so maybe that was how Sodapop and Steve had caramel on their noses. Their dad was funny like that and probably had done it.

“Darry?” Darry glanced up as the door was opened, Sodapop was at the door. He looked confused for a second before looking down and blinking in surprise. He shrugged it off, moving into the room and shutting the door behind him. “What are you doing in here? Gang’s all out there.”

“Just… needed a minute.” Darry shrugged. There was no point in trying to lie to his kid brother, Sodapop would just see right through him. Glory knows that Sodapop had to notice lies, for all the time he spends around Ponyboy.

Darry felt a little guilty at that thought. Sodapop did so much to take some of the burden that was thrust upon Darry when their parents died, not that Darry thought his brothers were burden’s. Sodapop had taken it upon himself to take care of Ponyboy when Darry couldn’t, especially emotionally, because Darry honestly sucked at that.

But he was working on it, and so was Ponyboy. It was a learning curve, especially with Ponyboy going through puberty, Sodapop learning out to lean on his brothers when he needed them, and Darry always working, though he worked less in the colder months.

There was a balance that they had been learning and adjusting to.

“I don’t rememb-Oh! That’s the year we first did caramel apples, right?” Sodapop was looking at the pictures, a light in his eyes as he reached and picked up one in specific. “Glory, I was young. Six?”

“Seven.” Darry corrected automatically before stopping. “Nearly Seven.” Sodapop chuckled, flipping the picture over. His smile dimmed, but was no less genuine as tears filled his eyes. Darry didn’t need to ask to know what he was looking at; their mother’s handwriting, claiming that her ‘four boys’ had tried caramel apples for the first time. It had been the first time their parents could afford it, but they tried for it every year.

Sodapop set that one down, picking up another. This one had five of them in it, and they were all a little older. Darry, Steve, and Sodapop were sitting in the back of a pickup truck with the hatch down, and in front of them were Ponyboy and Johnny, sitting on some hay bales. All five of them had popcorn balls in a little wrapped paper dish and smiles on their faces.

“I-, how old were we in this one?” Sodapop asked, tilting his head.

“Steve was eleven, you were nearly eleven, Pony was eight, and Johnny was ten.” Darry had been fourteen. He’d just entered highschool, and had his sights on joining the football team once the season started.

That was the year that Darry had started falling in with the wrong crowds.

Sodapop didn’t say anything. He was running his finger across the image, like he could uncover something if only he tried. He wouldn’t. Darry knew, because he had tried too. Sodapop set that picture down before picking up a third one. This one had the entire gang in it; it was Dally’s first Halloween with the Gang. He was… fourteen? Maybe fifteen in that picture.

They’d been carving pumpkins, and Ponyboy had gotten this great idea to dump the pumpkin guts onto Johnny’s head. Their pumpkin that they’d been carving had been momentarily forgotten as Johnny tried to get revenge. Ponyboy’s clothes had suffered for it, and Johnny smelled like pumpkin for days after. Dally was staring at the two of them incredulously, not noticing Two-Bit behind him with a pile hanging over his head to dump onto him.

Sodapop and Steve were in the background, laughing their asses off, the both of them were also covered in pumpkin guts; Steve with it all over his clothes and Sodapop had it covering his arms and hair. You could see them only because of the angle of the camera, showing Sodapop and Steve through the space in between Two-Bit’s arms.

Darry had been sitting off behind Ponyboy and Johnny, and had been looking at them startled. There was a pile of pumpkin seeds sitting in front of him. He liked sorting out the seeds, because he liked to bake them and eat them. He never did manage to get their mom to try them, though their dad loved them. Sodapop did too.

“I-” Sodapop stopped as he smiled, wiping the tears that were forming in his eyes. “This was my favorite year, I think.” Darry smiled at him softly as he nodded. It wasn’t his own favorite year, but it was close. “I’m going to go rejoin the gang. You coming?” Sodapop let the picture fall from his hands, his voice sounding thick with tears. Darry understood.

“I’m right behind you.” Darry nodded. Sodapop nodded sharply, pushing himself and leaving the room. Darry had to put the pictures away, carefully stacking them back together and putting them in the shoe box sitting beside Darry of all the holidays their family had ever done together and gotten pictures of.

He hesitated on that last picture that Sodapop held, holding in his hands as he stared at it. Darry knew that their parents had extras of all the pictures; had seen them himself when he dug through the attic. Maybe…

Darry pushed himself up, walking across the room to set the shoe box on his desk, closed. He set the picture on top of it before turning and walking out of the room. He had a couple pictures to go find before he could join the gang…

Ponyboy laughing hard at something Johnny said had him stopping. He turned and talked towards the living room instead. He could find the pictures tomorrow. They could make their own, even, with more memories to add.
