Jesse - He's a bit of a crybaby. He's quite bashful, curious, loves to share and take care of others, and doesn't get as irritated and angry as older Jesse does. The kind of kid to go around picking up the most random objects and asking you what it is. (More often than not, that's followed by a "Where and how did you get that???") If you ask him vague questions, he'll respond with vague answers, so you have to be pretty specific. He's really attached to Reuben, a little excessively, I might add. What I mean by this is that if Reuben is washed and dried with the laundry, he will not eat or do anything but sit in front of the machines waiting to get his best friend back.

Jess - She's a bit of a creature. She doesn't quite have a grasp on her own emotions and lacks a bit of impulse control. More often than not, she'll copy what others are doing if she finds it interesting enough. She finds Aiden and Petra very interesting, which isn't always good for a very impressionable child. She also shares quite a few traits with Jesse (except the crybaby part, she's sworn off crying for reasons I will reveal in the future) ((the urge to write twin headcanons rn just became so strong, for instance they have synchronized sneezes, it was some random thing i thought of that made me laugh (prone to change at any time))) She's got a stuffed Fox toy (pixie), which she often misplaces and forgets about for extended periods of time. Her attachment to it is very complicated (also will be revealed in the future)

Axel - He's the kind of kid that sees something he likes and just grabs it. (Doesn't quite understand why that's so wrong yet) He gets away with it more often than anyone would like ,too. He's a little insecure about being bigger than the other kids, mostly because he's afraid he might hurt someone close to him on accident. He's very overprotective (this one isn't new, lol). Little Axel is absolutely terrified during thunderstorms. :( They bought him some noise canceling headphones, but sometimes he forgets about them. Sure, he gets some dumb ideas from time to time, but they're pretty well thought out to a point you'd think they'll actually work.

Olivia - She's much more confident and outgoing than her older self. If you have a problem, she will find a way to fix it, even if it is unconventional. She talks to herself at times and even talks to herself about others in front of them at times. (This can lead to some problems. Nothing that Axel can't fix 😎). She's very crafty, and her ideas are endless, even if some of them are a bit over the top. She tries to stay out of trouble, but that never really work's out for her.

Petra - Very much a lone wolf, that much isn't new, but it's mostly a facade. Lukas and her are besties, and she absolutely adores spending time with him. They have a movie night at her house every week. She has too much energy and often times rushes headlong into things. She may or may not have tried to bite Aiden on numerous occasions 👀. Does not abide by the rules whatsoever and goes out of her way to break them as much as possible.

Lukas - He just really enjoys being around everyone. May be a little shy at first, but getting to know him does wonders. He has a clear understanding of right and wrong and often scolds Petra and Aiden for acting too out of line. He really ✨️Really✨️ loves playing it cool. Jack was his introduction to leather jackets and motorcycles. He has sworn to get himself a leather jacket ever since. Those movie nights really add to his cool persona as well. He often quotes scenes from certain movies when the occasion calls for it. The reactions he gets to them are quite comical. So far, he doesn't really have any issues. His parents are doing a fine job raising him... (at the moment at least...)

Aiden - Wants attention 24/7 (a problem deriving from neglect). He has genuine anger issues and, oftentimes, feels bad about getting angry afterward. That doesn't stop him from feeling like he's the boss of everyone. It's part of the reason why he doesn't like Jesse and his friends at first. They don't abide by his rules, and to him, his rules are facts and must be followed to a T. He's actually a really sweet boy he just needs a lot of work, I promise. Would quite literally die for his friends (Jesse, watch out you have a competitor). He's scared of a lot of things a kid his age shouldn't be scared of, and I mean really adult things, like the future.

Maya - Quite the critter. She has a short attention span and often gets sidetracked. She rambles often about the things she loves, even if her friends don't quite understand what she's saying sometimes. Aiden, more often than not, always has to reel her back into the moment. She's quite cheerful, and I beg of you, don't try to make her sad. It ends terribly for everyone. When Lukas proposed the idea of making their little cat club, she was so quick to agree, no thinking involved, Aiden and Gill never had a chance to say no (not that they would).

Gill - Oh, this poor, sweet boy. Not a thought behind those eyes half of the time. He often just goes along with whatever Maya and Aiden are doing. He gets very confused sometimes, but his friends love him for it. He gets on Aidens nerves a lot even though he doesn't mean to. He is surprisingly good emotional support, always very calm and collected. He's never one to go out of his way to cause serious trouble. Idk why, but I imagined him having a big, easy-going family. Like he could disappear for a few days and then show up back home, and they'd be like, "So did you have fun?" (They do get notified of where he is, I just wanted to clarify). The minute you break his big little heart, it's over. He'll never look at you the same ever again. His trust is very important to him. I promise you ����

hiii guyyssss just home from schl and i literally dont even have much on my mind so likeeee ill just give u a rundown of my day 😭 im still learninng how to use this stupid app because why did it take me a solid like 7 minutes to find my drafts. im a LITTLE bit stupid!

ughh i have a new teacher for home ec and my old one was one of my faves coz it was practically a free period because shes never made us do work before LOL and i thought id hate the new one cause hes lowkey scary af but hes actually so chill and fun and no seating plan and he actually teaches us BUT IN A FUN WAY TOO. idk is it bad i lowkey prefer him. HI RAXZ IT TOOK LONGER THAN EXPECTED AS IT'S BEEN A WEEK BUT!!! DURING ALL THAT I DIDN'T STOP THINKING ABOUT YOUR FIC/S It's just one of those pieces of fanwork that leaves so much of an impression on someone, that it just ends up sticking and changing what you initially thought of a character, because of how well done the things most would just move aside or chalk up for simple reasons. you seem to be the only person who really does get Chara like no other, and I hope it's not strange to say you write them almost as if you know them or you are them that I'm sorta afraid nothing else will live up to how you written them and asriel in ur fan fic LOL but no matter... i will prevail. I love how you were able to portray charas self hate and self harm, i love how you didn't hold back on the ugly side of it and how far and disturbing it can be especially for someone as young as chara. There's just something so realistic about it that don't see alot anywhere else. 

I also like how you made asriel be childish, childish in a way a kid can be bratty or selfish(?) in the first half, that might not be a good descriptor but my puter is lagging from the many many words I've written for this ask so I'm making do </3 the point is you really know how to write these kids. Also enjoy that the tone of each fic is starkly different from one another, asriels pov feels grounded in comparison to charas inner thoughts

FIORE!!! i have been waiting for this day.. thank you so much. ive had several people say that i really get chara including like, literal veteran chara fans. its very nice to hear, theyre pretty important to me as a character. which is rather funny because the only analysis ive ever actually written on them that wasnt fanfiction was an essay on how i think theyre kind of actually a little poorly written LOL. to understand someone you have to know their weakpoints i guess... even if on a meta level.

for my asriel interpretation i try to incorporate a lot of "flowey-isms" as i say. the way i see asriel is that he was always a bit of a bratty, selfish kid that struggled with low empathy. he chooses to do what he thinks is right because he knows its right and not because it provides him with positive feelings himself... i think thats even more admirable. as opposed to this is think chara is high empathy which is part of the reason they did what they did. asriel is just way more of a people person than chara and so comes off as more understanding, charas just naturally a bit off-putting no matter how hard they try not to be.

chara and asriel are quite different people so i tried to make that clear in how i write their perspectives. chara is kind of stuck in their own head and lives in a world with walls of misery and think prose. theyre very direct but also very metaphorical. its a weird combination but it gets easier to write when taking in account their canon dialogues (one day youll get a fic from me with a more light hearted tone where chara will get to make their dog puns and nerd jokes. maybe). this is also the reason i write them with a strange mix of first and second person. it just feels natural for our narrator.

asriel on the other hand is much much more of an emotional person and is much less formal in how he thinks. he has a lot more filler words and "i-think"s and "i-feel"s and such.

i figure ill write a bit on what inspired each fic.

for my chara fic, i actually started writing it while bored in class. it was inspired a narration line in one of the fights in undertale, the one i used for the summary. the main thing i wanted to play with was metaphors and metaphors upon metaphors. mainly related to charas self hatred though the lense of soil and dirt and flowers and gardens because of course.

for my asriel fic, the main thing i wanted to play with was, quite obviously, writing from asriels perspective. i had already written 2 fics from charas perpective (the 1st one isnt as good as the other two and was mostly written as a characterization and perspective test) so i figured it was time to give him a turn, especially since it we only realy got a peak and asriels personality through charas eyes and i wanted to show it off more. the other thing that the fic ended up centering on is something my friend said to me about how they felt my chara characterization was screaming to be understood under all the hurt. basically the thesis of this fic is "asriel did not fully get chara but he was also the closest anyone ever got by a long shot which counts for something".

OLD BULLSHIT DUMP

its time to dump a bunch of stuff i have no other place for but i want online somewhere! its a total fucking shitshow wahoo

first is an alien nine fan comic (its read right to left if it wasnt obvious, oops). this was made as a for an alien nine discord i lurk in. they had missed yuris birthday, and some discussion was had about what present is best to get her. most of the options were aliens?? anyways take this as the anti-kasumi propaganda that it is.

next is two separate love web doodles. uh for anyone who doesnt know i have a half joke love web AU where cybermare and manon just fucking hate each other, and its just sad and awful for no good reason. im sorry shadok, i am physically unable to let blorbos be happy. second image is more of a doodle but i like it. and the first image i thiiiink was made when i was planning out a little one shot comic i never finished. for the 1 of you (oretal) who are maybe curious, i had a bunch of dialogue written out, the comic would have been a really tense conversion that culminates in a shouting match, i had this really cool idea where the comics color palette gets darker and darker as the sun goes down and their little apartment becomes so dark that its hard to see but neither of them want to bother turning on a light (many such cases). i care about these two way more than i probably should, uh thank you silly deer lady for the blorbos.

the next one is a drawing ruru chan (you saw the alien nine bit of this post, you know what kind of fucking blog this is) i keep forgetting i made forever ago. i ended up hating it and never finishing it. i still dont want to bother finishing it but i like it enough now to post it. shinsei kamattechan is one of my favorite bands and i really like this dumb melodramatic song a lot. noko is one of the realest ones going and i hope i can draw something i actually really like one of these days to express my love properly.

lastly i wanted to post this absolute dumb bullshit fuck ass stupid technique. i was commissioned by a friend to make some custom buckshot roulette cards (he is paying me in sandwiches), and i decided that i liked the idea enough to go whole hog at least a little bit. this is just showing the process for the rendering technique im using in krita. i will be posting the final images once theyre all done (my deadline is fucking thursday, pray for me girlie). this method of rendering is super janky but its fucking worked so far! to any aspiring item key artists, please just render shit in blender, save yourselves. looks kinda nice tho once its on a card.

NGL sometimes I look at the crew's tweets about him needing to stop being in anger mode 24/7 and reintegrate into society, and I wonder: are we supposed to expect him to work through that by himself? Do we expect great emotional regulation and self-awareness from an elementary schooler in an abusive household? He absolutely shouldn't be redirecting his anger at the people around him (note: Hazel. she didn't deserve that ire at all and doesn't owe him any patience about it), but I can't help looking at him and thinking that he needs, like. I dunno. A therapist. An adult. Someone or something that's actually guaranteed to help him out a little. The adults present in the show... didn't seem very interested in doing that, despite seeming to know what his actual core issue was? Maddening. Anyway

(disclaimer before anything i say. i just need yall to know this show could be the worst thing ive ever seen and id still hope the best for the crew bc its their job and people need to eat alright. that being said i do enjoy the show, please dont take this as me saying they need to NEVER WORK AGAIN ala nostalgia critic style or something)

but seriously this is exactly the type of stuff im thinking, i dont really go on twitter much anymore because i dislike it so i wasnt aware of the things the crew said (and dont envy them because oh man this was a divisive finale it seems). i dont expect an episode like "dev goes to therapy" and the wacky adventures of him going to therapy or something, but im really hoping in s2 they have peri held more accountable for majorly screwing up here and trying to do right by dev with another chance given to him.

the frustrating thing is i cant blame people defending the choices because some people are genuinely really bad at voicing their opinion/critique, especially because it feels like a lot of people arent having the balls to actually point out peri, even cosmo and (frankly the worse one of the two bc she was so much harder on dev) wanda are a bigger blame for the situation with dev. of course people are gonna assume people are putting the responsibility on hazel, id also be defensive about that because thats a ridiculous thing to expect, but like nah its clear its not her responsibility. she is also 10 and has a world outside of dev, and dev SHOULD be held accountable for his actions in regards to lashing out at others around him when hes upset. the fact hes given more critique than the adults around him that are meant to guide him and help him is the bigger issue than that alone.

on that same note, hazel should also be held accountable for the same things, like saying devs problems werent that deep and having wanda, a FAIRY GODPARENT, basically agree??? also when she was like "oh friends work things out" i didnt hear no apology for not hearing dev out or at least for leaving him in the dark on if theyre friends or not. and the thing is i dont expect her to do that on her own, because shes 10, but theyre fictional 10 year olds who will have more maturity than most real kids either way, so like... yknow?

additionally its kind of a double standard either way, if you dont expect hazel to act mature, why on gods green earth would you expect DEV to??? and hazel, compared to dev, has people to guide her the right way and people that are patient with her, meanwhile dev doesnt get that, the most hes ever gotten is hazel and THATS NOT HAZELS JOB!!! im not saying the writers are claiming it is, its just that its frustrating that the writing has ended up with her feeling like the only person who really gives a damn yknow

its such an experience getting over something and having to get used to saying words that previously felt dirty or forbidden, but they never actually were, and now you have to come to terms with that

this applies to several situations, but my personal situation is about my trauma. im doing my best to cope with it and try and get over it with what little resources i have, and while i definitely have work to do, ive come a long way i like to think

and part of that is, you guessed it, saying words that felt forbidden. like the word itself 'trigger', i used to feel utterly ridiculous saying it in a serious context because the internet had warped the word to a joke or to mean 'offended' or 'angry' or just generally upset, but that is NOT what that means. i mean, i guess i cant entirely fault people for not understanding the weight of it, i didnt get how bad it was until i had triggers of my own. i used to think it did mean people were just upset about something and didnt want to hear about it. now i know that it is so much more than that.

but also words i need to get used to saying or hearing are triggers themselves. ive been unable to escape hearing about my triggers because theyre brought up a lot nowadays anyway, and also im not willing to tell people what they are for various reasons so people didnt exactly know to avoid them around me. the thing is, is that once youre ready to do it, exposure therapy can help a lot. for the longest time, i wasnt willing to do it, but it was happening to me anyway because of how often people would bring it up, and i desperately tried to block it out to little success.

not to mention how much i cling to still secretly hoping my triggers wont stop hurting because it makes what i went through feel real, like im not just making up how much it hurt, just to feel special. but just because i dont freeze like a deer in the headlights anymore (and i mean that literally) doesnt mean it didnt hurt and change my whole life.

now that im opening myself up to exposure, it means potentially talking about it if i feel ready to, which means i might have to actually say the words that feel forbidden. it feels ridiculous to feel scared to say a normal word.

whats wild about it is that these are words that i used to say with love and confidence, then i avoided them entirely, and now im trying to come back to them. ill never say most of them the same way i used to, but maybe one or two ill find some sort of joy in again, though definitely not the same level as before

what sucks is not really having anyone to talk about it to. im sitting here hesitating to type certain words and i cant just go to a friend and be like 'how silly is it that i feel scared to write out the word _____ lol?'

it feels like if i type it out that something bad will happen, or that somehow itll hurt me again. but its just a word. its not like it was the words that did this to me. and yet they have power, power that i need to take away from them. maybe one day i can type them and not hesitate.

i dont have a point, i just wanted to talk about that. its just silly to me that im sitting here on my phone being scared to type these completely non-harmful words that other people probably dont even think twice about.

theres the one you showed and then this post (which is technically about kusuo and kusukes relationship, but i focused on how it effected kusuo more than anything else, i didnt really talk about kusuke except for like reciting his actions..) (also i get that some people probably ignored that post due to its triggering nature, but i honestly do wish it got more attention and people would read and understand it because its sooo important to me..) which then caused THIS even though i explicitly made sure that i ONLY pointed out behaviors of his that were IN the manga...

my personal opinion on kusuke is.. complicated.. i think mine differs from a lot of people because most opinions ive seen of him are either 'hes my babygirl who can do no wrong and i ignore his wrongdoings and pretend they didnt happen' or 'i hate him hes abusive and disgusting and awful and i actually want him to die' and i feel like im in between that.. i think he sucks and is abusive, but i also dont think hes irredeemable.. like at all. hes gross and abusive, but he and kusuo were both born into bad situations and theyre the only two people in the world who could ever understand one another.. he still sucks and dealing with the hardships he has is in no way capable of justifying what he does (especially since kusuo has always had it worse and kusuke always refused to understand, yet kusuo at most became kind of a dick because of it, not an abusive and insane sadomasochist like a certain someone..) but by the end of the story, i think hes starting to understand better. i think seeing kusuo be so desperate to be rid of his powers, the consequences of having them, how theyve effected him, all makes him see kusuo better..

maybe im a little too optimistic about him, but his ending just felt very hopeful to me.. he literally makes me sick to my stomach, but it feels like its because its just in a way that hits too hard and its too real and too emotional, and its hard to handle but the basis is that its just too complicated for me to just say he sucks and thats it, yk ??? like hes so much more complex than that and i wish i had the words for it..

I would love for someone to dissect Kusukes character, like in a analysis way, yk? But, it's just how horrible his character is, how his morals are just so fucked up. He's a horrible person, towards kusuo and the rest of the world. He kinda reminds me of Geto from JJK when he talks about the world. Kusuke is such a weird yet bad person, wanting to win yet when losing, he's loves it. He absolutely loves it and it's sickening. It's fucken sickening and he's sickening. I remember @/oceanwithouthermoon (I'm not sure if they're comfortable with tags) had a post about him, although it was more of a "y'all are ignoring this part of the character"

He's obsessed with Kusuo and his powers, it's so horrible and disgusting. I want to see someone dissect his character more and what their opinion of it is. He's fucken gross and a creep, I hate him.

I also wanna dissect Toris and Kusuos dad character too. They are so dependent on Kusuos powers, it's so bad. He literally needs to set limits and boundaries cause if he doesn't, his dad will literally become a man child.

NOTP: Thomas and Nia. This seems charged because Nias involved but I genuinely feel like they work so much better as friends, and if Thomas and Gordon wasnt as good and classic as it was, this would have been in the BROTP slot. The way Thomas and Nia develop their friendship is so different from how he’s usually set up with new characters outside of the classic series- they butt heads, Thomas is stubborn, Nia is (in the words of jobey) “mature but cheeky” and through a (for the era) surprisingly gripping rescue sequence they become friends. I love Nia but it feels like the dumb obvious corporate step a certain toy company would make to try to sideline Nia after her introduction… which kind of feels like the opposite of what they did for Rosie (also because I like Nia and Rebecca together MUCH more)

You’d been worried that when you had been sucked into Devildom, you wouldn’t be able to access the game due to, yknow, realm differences, but luckily that wasn’t the case thanks to Levi, and hence why the moment it dropped, you had been spending your life savings simping for characters on every banner.

He covers his face with his arm and you just cant help but shake your head with a fond smile, but you do need to address this and comfort him.

okay @soleilduveil heres my 5000 word summary on squirrelflight and leafpool's lives. hope its what you wanted

also if anyone wants to write any analysis of their own id love to hear it

(i should note when i say "god", that almost every cat who dies becomes a spirit and is deified upon death when they join heaven. they are typically all respected by the same measure, but every spirit is still an individual. there are also ghosts, but clan cats almost always go to heaven and become gods.)

(it may also be worth mentioning that the original author of warrior cats, who no longer writes for the series but did originally create her as a character, DOES NOT like squirrelflight. this becomes increasingly apparant as the series goes on.)

squirrelflight and leafpool are sisters, and the only children of the great awesome prophesied leader firestar. i think you read into the wild so you know him. anyway the girls are very spoiled because theyre basically princesses but leafpool is mostly quiet and kind growing up and squirrelflight is very loud and rude and rash. leafpool decides early on she wants to be a healer, a very prestigious position, but it comes with harsher rules enforced by society (the most important being "cant have a partner or kittens". theyre basically supposed to be doctor nuns. it sucks but thats not the point of this discussion.)

theres a few other guys you need to know about so lets talk about brambleclaw. brambleclaw and squirrelflight are friends, but they butt heads a lot simply because squirrelflight is rude and rash as aforementioned but also shes usually right. brambleclaw is kind of cringe but bottom line is theyre friends. when brambleclaw gets chosen by a prophecy to find everyone a new home, squirrelflight hears about it and tags along with him (against his wishes). they go on a journey for a little while and become a lot closer as a result.

they also meet crowfeather on this journey, another important guy to this story. he was chosen to be in the prophecy but hes also really young and also a complete jerk. he falls in love with someone else on the journey but then she dies, and he isnt able to save her. he matures a little bit because of this and hes supposed to be "angry prickly guy who secretly cares" trope. all told, he's alright.

while squirrelflight is on the journey, leafpool befriends a fellow healer from another clan named mothwing. mothwing is kind of insecure about being a healer, especially since she wasnt born in the clans (the clans are typically xenophobic), but she and leafpool learn together. mothwing is also kind of scared of her brother hawkfrost. also every time its leafpool's perspective and she thinks about mothwing shes constantly in awe of how beautiful and awesome she is, but warrior cats would never be gay so it doesnt go anywhere in canon. they are possibly the best known and liked warrior cats ship for good reason!

squirrelflight and brambleclaw get back from their journey and the place all the clans live in is being destroyed and they have to lead everyone to the new home they found. brambleclaw finds out that hawkfrost and mothwing are actually his half siblings from his really evil and dead father tigerstar (he has a lot of insecurity about his father being evil and not being a very good father. hes mostly more concerned about the second thing.) he befriends hawkfrost because he wants to have a relationship with siblings he only just learned about. leafpool tells squirrelflight "hey im friends with his sister and i think that guy is kind of bad news, you might want to tell brambleclaw to be careful." squirrelflight witnesses hawkfrost being kind of bad news and tries to tell brambleclaw about it, but brambleclaw gets really mad at her and they stop being friends for a while.

also while this happens leafpool almost dies, but crowfeather saves her, seeing as a redemption for not being able to save the girl he liked on the journey. they kind of very suddenly develop feelings for each other.

squirrelflight starts spending more time with her and brambleclaw's mutual friend ashfur. ashfur very suddenly and possessively falls in love with squirrelflight, to which she is... not really aware of? he tries to get with her after a few weeks, and she kindly tells him shes not interested in him and just wants to be friends. he becomes very very upset and refuses to talk to her anymore.

turns out brambleclaw and hawkfrost have been hanging out in hell with their evil dead dad. hawkfrost really likes being evil. brambleclaw isnt sure about being evil but STILL wants to have a relationship with his evil family. at some point leafpool witnesses them in hell and becomes rather scared of brambleclaw, but later on she gets a message from god that hes Actually A Good Guy, We Promise. around this time, mothwing finds out that hawkfrost faked a sign from god in order for the clan to accept her as a healer, and shes very hurt and upset by this, and loses faith in god as a result (which is a big deal because its kind of the healers Whole Deal to talk to god also.) leafpool is the only person she tells about this, and leafpool is a good friend and keeps her secret, but now she REALLY doesnt trust brambleclaw or hawkfrost.

leafpool has been sneaking out to meet crowfeather and theyre very much in love. (this is double illegal, because healers cant have mates and no one can be mates with a cat from a different clan.) at this point, leafpool isnt doing so great mentally; another cat has been helping her mentor at healing, and she feels unimportant, and squirrelflight has been so wrapped up in her brambleclaw drama that they havent been super close either. she asks god what she should do, and god tells her word for word, to "follow her heart". she, reasonably, interprets this to mean she should follow her happiness with crowfeather, and they run away together to start a new life.

like maybe a week after they leave, a nice badger (crowfeather met her on the prophecy journey) finds them and tells them there are not nice badgers attacking the clans and they are desperately needed. they mutually decide to return and help their clans, but when they get there leafpool's mentor was killed and shes absolutely devastated, feeling as if she couldve saved her if she hadnt left. leafpool and crowfeather decide its best to end their relationship and serve their clans instead.

squirrelflight makes up with brambleclaw, but hes still talking to hawkfrost, so its kind of still a sore spot. ashfur sees this as squirrelflight choosing brambleclaw over him. she accepts leafpool back with open arms, but a lot of people are very upset with her, especially since her firestar (clan leader) forgives her and doesnt punish her. firestar also makes brambleclaw his second in command, somewhat due to leafpool telling him that god said hes a good guy earlier on.

a little while later, hawkfrost tricks firestar into getting caught in a fox trap, his plan being for brambleclaw to kill him and succeed him as leader. ashfur assists him, telling leafpool and squirrelflight that brambleclaw is trying to kill firestar and he went for backup. brambleclaw is kind of conflicted on if he should kill firestar, but he finally decides not to be evil. hawkfrost gets angry and attacks him; brambleclaw kills hawkfrost to save his own life, and is very upset to have to do so. firestar forgives him and thinks he did the Right thing. squirrelflight and brambleclaw officially start dating for real, and leafpool remains the sole healer of the clan.

unfortunately, in the amount of time that leafpool and crowfeather ran away, leafpool became pregnant. this is, unfortunately, triple illegal, as "healers cant have mates" and "healers cant have children" are two entirely separate rules enforced on healers. leafpool is very scared about whats going to happen to her kittens as a result of this, and begs her sister squirrelflight for help. god goes to squirrelflight and tells her shes infertile, so taking leafpools kittens is her only chance at having a family. squirrelflight decides the best thing to do is pretend the kittens are hers instead and raise them with brambleclaw. (if youre wondering about the logistics of this, dont. you have to just go with it.) crucially, squirrelflight does not tell this to brambleclaw, because as clan deputy, knowing about leafpools triple illegal children puts him in a deeply challenging spot between his love for squirrelflight, respect for leafpool, and being a figure of authority.

regardless, squirrelflight and brambleclaw love these children and raise them as their own; their names are jayfeather, hollyleaf, and lionblaze (they have magic powers but thats not actually super relevant). jayfeather is blind, and he desperately wants to be a warrior, but the same god that gave dubious advice to leafpool tells him he cant be a warrior due to his blindness and his only choice is to become a healer. he deeply resents this, but trusts god, so he becomes leafpool's apprentice. leafpool is overjoyed at being able to have such a close relationship with one of her children, even if he doesnt know she's actually his mother.

lionblaze ends up mentored by ashfur, who is still very very bitter about squirrelflight. hes pretty abusive to him growing up but lionblaze has a hard time seeing and accepting that, especially as he doesnt know his history with squirrelflight.

timeskip to when the three children are young adults, and a fire traps them in their home. squirrelflight tries to help them, but she was recently injured and struggles to do so; ashfur pulls up, pretends to help, and then blocks their escape to confront squirrelflight. he tells her he tried to kill firestar for the same reason hes going to kill her children now; so that she would feel the same pain that he did when she rejected him. desperate to keep them safe, she tells ashfur "you cant hurt me that way because they arent my children". unfortunately, the children hear this and are very very upset, hollyleaf especially. ashfur decides that instead, he'll just tell everyone at the big clan gathering coming up, and she'll be punished.

jayfeather is determined to find out who their biological parents are, and eventually learns that their existence is triple illegal. this breaks hollyleaf, who valued being upstanding and following the rules. at some point, hollyleaf also determined that she just didnt have a magic power when her brothers did. she attempts to kill leafpool to make her pay; leafpools tells her "do you think it would be easier for me to die, or to go on living, not only with whatever punishment i receive but knowing my children hate me?" hollyleaf lets her live and goes and kills ashfur instead. despite everything, lionblaze and squirrelflight mourn his death. hollyleaf ends up going to the gathering and telling everyone herself, despite her friends and brother's pleas not to. she runs away and is presumed dead after she is caught in a tunnel collapse.

leafpool is demoted, and brambleclaw very publicly breaks up with squirrelflight for lying to her. neither of them are cast out of the clan, but they are both hated and distrusted by literally everybody but their own parents. (not really relavent, but if youre curious about crowfeather, he had NO clue he was the father of the kittens, though he publicly denounces them, as he was trying very hard to rebuild his reputation after running away with leafpool. he has a new wife and son and they hate leafpool and her children very much. crowfeather is never really negative towards leafpool directly, though he certainly doesnt try to help her either.)

to break up the summary a little bit, leafpool and squirrelflight were ENTIRELY JUSTIFIED in keeping their secret. half clan, or kittens of healers had been punished or driven out before. leafpool cared about her kittens safety more than anything else. squirrelflight loved and cared for her sisters safety more than anything else. in the end, they were the only ones punished for anything in this fiasco; leafpool had to learn how to be a warrior, leaving her entire former life as a respected healer behind. squirrelflight lost her husband and respect of everyone she knew.

fast forward a bunch, and the clans are about to face a war against hell. (yes, literally.) jayfeather and lionblaze as the magic power guys have been training their whole lives for this. it turns out, hollyleaf didnt die in the collapse, and has just been living in the tunnels for like a year, afraid to return to the clan and face everything that happened. also firestar makes leafpool a healer again, despite public backlash, because he doesnt think she needs to be punished anymore.

lionblaze sees hollyleaf helping out some young cats from the clan, and begs her to come back. she eventually does, and shes very overwhelmed but she finds that shes not mad at leafpool or squirrelflight anymore. notably, hollyleaf is prepared to admit that she killed ashfur, but brambleclaw covers for her. theyre slowly rebuilding their relationship when the war finally happens; during which, hawkfrost (from hell) kills hollyleaf. she makes up with squirrel and leaf and apologizes for everything before she dies. brambleclaw kills hawkfrost's spirit again in revenge. firestar also dies, and brambleclaw succeeds him; he forgives squirrelflight, making her his deputy.

fast forward a little, squirrelflight and brambleclaw get back together. god tells squirrelflight they actually lied to her about being infertile so that she would take leafpools kittens. this was important to them because they were the special prophesized magic power guys. despite how ridiculously unfair this is, squirrelflight forgives them, and she and brambleclaw have their own kittens named alderheart and sparkpelt. alderheart becomes a healer with jayfeather and leafpool. jayfeather had the most complicated relationship with leafpool to begin with, and despite being a very difficult person to get along with, he and leafpool become very close.

most of leafpool and squirrelflight's past has been forgiven and is considered history. nothing super exciting happens to them for a whole series while alderheart and sparkpelt grow up.

unfortunately its now time for squirrelflight's hope, a book focused entirely about squirrelflight. the only reason i say this is the second worst warrior cats book is because the first worst warrior cats book features pedophilia. so last series a whole new clan joined the original four and they had to split up territory to fit them in. the other leaders are unhappy with how it was done and want to revise it. at the meeting, brambleclaw and the new clan's leader, leafstar, dont want to change anything, but almost everyone else thinks they should, including squirrelflight. squirrelflight proposes a solution different than brambleclaws, and afterwards he berates her for not backing him up. on the way home, they squirrelflight and brambleclaw reminisce on their life together and squirrelflight says she wants to have more children. brambleclaw kinda just brushes her off.

squirrelflight watches as brambleclaw reports what happened to the rest of the clan and it hits her that as a leader, he will most likely outlive her, and this makes her really sad and she goes to sleep alone instead of with him. the next morning, she's convinced herself that she overracted and feels guilty. she goes to talk to leafpool, who personally agrees with brambleclaw. squirrel asks her to ask god about it, but leafpool can tell theyve been fighting and says they should figure it out together. squirrelflight then tells her sister shes more upset about him not really wanting any more kits, and leafpool comforts her.

squirrelflight decides to go by herself to talk to leafstar (the new leader, not her sister, don't get confused) and show her the territory that she thinks they should have instead, behind brambleclaw's back. leafstar agrees, but they run into some large women who have settled into that very territory. these women, called the sisters, tell them theyre not leaving until their leader, moonlight, has had her kits, and to avoid being kicked out, they keep squirrelflight and leafstar hostage (though they are very kind to them, feed them, shelter them etc). leafstar tries to escape but is forced to stay.

squirrelflight finds she doesnt really mind staying with them, and they share their culture which she finds very intriguing, even partaking in a ceremony with them. these cats also see and commune with ghosts. then, brambleclaw brings a bunch of cats to recue them, and squirrelflight attempts to deescalate. they agree to let the sisters stay if they let leafstar and squirrelflight go, which they agree to.

brambleclaw is furious with squirrel for going behind his back, and demands that any choices she makes have to go through him first, which diminishes her authority as second-in-command. she usually organizes which cats do every duty each day, but brambleclaw now wants her to tell him who she choses before she does, which is a ridiculous request. she snaps that he just wants to feel in charge, and he tells her he doesnt trust her anymore. suddenly, sparkpelt comes to tell them that shes pregnant, and they pretend not to be angry at each other to congratulate her. brambleclaw now wants to talk to her about having more kittens, but squirrelflight is upset and goes to confide in leafpool instead.

some time later, squirrelflight runs into a few of the sisters begging for help, as one of their cats has been gravely injured. squirrelflight brings them back to their home, but brambleclaw forbids leafpool from helping them. the clan argues, with many cats wanting to help the injured cat, and brambleclaw sends jayfeather and alderheart to ask god what to do. he confines them all to a corner and doesnt let anyone speak to them, and stops leafpool from saving this cat's life.

brambleclaw once again gets angry with squirrelflight for undermining his authority and putting him in a difficult position. (its all political bullshit.) jayfeather and alderheart come back with a really vague message and leafpool gets fed up and tries to force her way to healing the injured cat; brambleclaw physically restrains her until squirrelflight demands he let her go, and he essentially punches the wall and walks out.

more political bullshit happens and brambleclaw declares that the sisters have to leave, despite their earlier agreement. squirrelflight helps the injured cat to rejoin the rest of the sisters, and warns them that they wont find friendship with the clans. despite this, they treat her kindly. soon after, sparkpelt's mate falls very ill, and has to ask the other clans for help. she ends up feeling like its her fault, and that god is angry with her for trying to help the sisters. sparkpelt also becomes sick soon after. squirrelflight goes to the sisters to see if they know what may have caused the illness, and they do, as well as how to cure it.

sparkpelt has her kittens while just barely recovering from the sickness, but her mate dies, and so does one of their children. sparkpelt is devestated and deeply depressed, so squirrelflight and brambleclaw take care of her other two kittens and briefly stop arguing.

squirrelflight and leafpool again go to the sisters to tell them the clans arent going to tolerate them being there much longer, but also deliver the news of the deaths of their family. the sisters immediately offer to hold an intimate ceremony for them, to protect their spirits. squirrelflight confindes in leafpool once again that shes deeply insecure in her relationship with brambleclaw, and leafpool is concerned for her.

leafstar and squirrelflight return some time later to warn the sisters that the other clans intend to attack and drive them out. their leader mostly brushes them off and is insistant on holding up their original agreement. squirrelflight and brambleclaw are still arguing, and squirrelflight tells him "even if i dont agree with you, i love you", to which he is surprised. she eventually gives in and agrees to support him in driving out the sisters. that night, leafpool and squirrelflight have the same dream of kits in danger, and are convinced something is wrong and they need to help moonlight.

sure enough, her kitting is going badly and leafpool immediately goes to help her at the same time the clans are preparing to attack. she finally convinces them to move her and her kits before a fight breaks out. squirrelflight goes to try and stall, and every cat calls her disloyal and brings up how she betrayed brambleclaw in the past. the sisters attack, and squirrelflight desperately tries to convince her clanmates one by one that attacking a mother who has just given birth is wrong; finally, brambleclaw relents. crowfeather is also there (he is the deputy of his clan) and commands his own clan to stop as well, not wanting to hurt leafpool who is with moonlight's newborn kits, backed into a cave.

the rest of the cats begin to attempt to collapse the cave on purpose to flush them out, so the sisters attack them. they change their minds when they hear about the newborn kits, but it's too late. squirrelflight and leafpool manage to get the kits out, but are caught in the collapse.

squirrelflight and leafpool wake up in heaven, where theyre told they arent dead yet but may still die. they greet their passed on family and friends happily. they also see ashfur, but he doesnt go to speak to them. regardless of whether they live or die right now, firestar informs them that all the spirits in heaven want to hold a trial to determine if their "crimes" in life are enough to have them sent to hell. squirrelflight voices her displeasure, but leafpool is just scared.

several notable characters from the series confront leafpool first about all the laws she broke. leafpool claims she gave up everything to continue being a healer, proving her loyalty, and several cats call out the hypocrasy of those holding the trial. some cats agree with her, and leafpool goes on that no matter what, that squirrelflight deserves a place in heaven, because any rules she broke were leafpools fault. squirrelflight claims that any lie she told was to protect someone she cares about, that it was all out of love, but breaks down saying she failed her clan by doing so when they continue questioning her.

squirrelflight and leafpool comfort each other, saying they dont regret any of it and that they will face the verdict together. eventually, the cats holding the trial return and tell them they will both be allowed to stay in heaven, should they die now.

i cannot stress enough that every single character present for this trial broke one law or another, many breaking the same exact laws that they were accusing squirrelflight and leafpool for. no trial like this has ever happened before, and this book takes place between series 6 and 7.

squirrel and leaf spend the day in heaven with their dead family, and it becomes clear that leafpool would feel fulfilled if her life ended here. squirrelflight, however, feels theres so much more she needs to do and is desperate to live. somehow, she returns as a ghost, seeing her family as she lays dying. (please get used to this kind of thing, its going to come up a lot in the next section.) she sees sparkpelt, completely despondent, while other cats take care of her kittens and feels even more anxious that she has to live. she goes to see her own body, sees that jayfeather and alderheart havent left their sides, and she tries to comfort them. brambleclaw is there as well, and he tells them he wishes he had listened to her, or cared more, or that he deserves to be leader, and squirrelflight tries to argue that the clan is more important than she is, even though he cant hear her. (im trying really hard to make this summary impartial, but this scene is literally sickening to read.)

still a ghost, squirrelflight tries to check on the sisters, but the new clan is moving in where they used to be. another ghost tells her that the new clan was sheltering them in their old home, so she goes and sees that moonlight is terribly injured, much like she is, before suddenly being dragged back to her body. she sees that leafpool is dead, and then is dragged back to starclan. (i dont know whats happening either.) she says her final goodbyes to leafpool and her family before returning to life for good.

alive now, she visits sparkpelt, who is still depressed, but feels somewhat better when squirrelflight tells her that she saw her partner and child in heaven, and they wish her well. her and brambleclaw have a similar conversation to what was said when squirrelflight was a ghost, with brambleclaw saying "he couldntve gone on without her" and "her challening him always made him stronger, and he forgot that". she later goes to see the sisters when shes healed, and literally every cat from every clan mourns for leafpool.

(as much as i hate this stupid book leafpools death still made me cry because i had to reread the book to summarize it properly. its at this point i guess ill admit i voted for squirrelflight, but thats only because i relate to her more. i love them equally. i have been writing this for three hours.)

(i now unfortunately have to paraphrase an incredibly convoluted series so please dont think too hard about the details i leave out. this was originally longer so please trust me when i say this was the bare minimum it took to explain it)

brambleclaw falls very ill to a strange sickness no one has seen before. around this same time, no one can talk to god for some reason. a young healer from another clan named shadowsight claims god told him that putting brambleclaw out in the snow will heal the illness. he dies, but then he gets better, but everyone kinda thinks he came back Wrong. they dont question it though, because hes being really aggressive about it.

god comes back to shadowsight and tells him that they wont speak to anyone else because there are so many codebreakers in the clan, including squirrelflight(as well as jayfeather and lionblaze even though they didnt. do anything). he tells the other healers, and the leaders make the codebreakers "atone for their sins" so that god will talk to them again, with brambleclaw feeling very strongly about this. he later feels the need to punish sparkpelt for not bringing home enough food by sending her to a very specific place, where she ends up attacked by dogs and nearly dying. he feels no remose about this.

shadowsight is pretty sure hes not actually talking to god when he is approached by a guy named rootspring who can see and talk to ghosts; he has seen brambleclaws ghost, and tells him whatever spirit is puppeting his body is not him. brambleclaw has been treating squirrelflight very possessively and is generally just more concerned with spending time with her than being clan leader. rootspring tries to tell squirrelflight, who doesnt take a ton of convincing to believe him. she pretends to be normal to try and figure out who bodysnatched brambleclaw. the bodysnatcher attempts to make jayfeather and lionblaze "atone" for breaking the code, but squirrelflight tries to atone in their place, being the one responsible for actually breaking the code, but the bodysnatcher insists she doesnt have to because shes special.

when squirrelflight tries to tell the clan the truth, he physically assaults and exiles her. a couple cats try to stand up for her, but fail. she goes to shadowsight's clan for sanctuary, and shadowsight is sure now that he was tricked by the bodysnatcher and never talked to god at all. he goes to tell the other healers, but fake brambleclaw attempts to murder him.

some other things fake brambleclaw does is exile jayfeather and lionblaze and convince the other leaders to exile their "codebreakers", mothwing being among them. they ALL end up following squirrelflight. squirrelflight has finally realized that the bodysnatcher is ashfur, who's spirit is for whatever reason more powerful than all the others that make up the collective "god". ashfur has become really sad and stressed after exiling squirrelflight, and she decides to fake her death to get him to reveal his plan. unfortunately, this only makes him angry and takes it out on the rest of her family.

some cats think he should be murdered, but squirrelflight refuses as that would also mean killing brambleclaw's body, which his spirit then could not return to. some cats try anyway and fail, and this back and forth goes on for a while, until its literally only squirrelflight who doesnt want to kill brambleclaw's body. also squirrelflight had to trick ashfur into revealing his identity and that he tried to kill shadowsight in front of everyone, and now hes being kept prisoner in shadowsights clan, and he has to take care of him. lionblaze tries to kill ashfur at some point, and shadowsight has to stop him, wanting to respect squirrelflights wishes. he eventually lets ashfur escape when the other leaders come to kill him. squirrelflight meets up with him, and he drags her into hell.

in hell, it turns out that ashfur can mind control all the spirits he has trapped here, including brambleclaw. he forces brambleclaw to attack squirrelflight, but shes able to avoid him. shadowsight attacks ashfur to distract him, and squirrelflight and brambleclaw get away. eventually they both find their way back to the living world. also no one could talk to god because ashfur locked the door.

a bunch of cats go to hell to hunt down ashfur and kill his spirit, and squirrelflight immediately volunteers, but is shot down, as everyone points out that shes suffered enough and this shouldnt be her problem to fix anymore. his spirit dies for real and everything goes back to normal.

however, brambleclaw is very shaken after being bodysnatched and mind controlled in hell, and isnt sure he isnt fit to be leader anymore, leading to squirrelflight stepping up more often. this leads to them having more arguments like they did before. sparkpelts son, nightheart, is an incredibly selfish and unkind cat that both squirrelflight and brambleclaw attempt to guide, but he ends up resenting squirrelflight and leaving their clan. squirrelflight stand by sparkpelt the whole time, but its hard on all of them.

eventually nightheart comes back, and somehow this convinces brambleclaw that he should step down from being leader and let squirrelflight take over. shes a little unsure, but eventually agrees to it.

and that's where we are mercifully freed from this ride as the next book hasnt come out yet. anyway squirrelflight and leafpool are some of the most nuanced and best written characters in this series but proper literary or character analysis isnt really my strong suit at all so i hope the summary speaks enough for itself.

i believe its fair to assume mc has seen at least one of the boys cry. here is what i believe happened. (if you want me to do undateables, let me know! tw for low self worth, panic attacks, and survivors guilt/death mentions)

lucifer

without a doubt the most embarassed to be caught crying

he had just gotten into an argument with diavolo, and he questions his importance in diavolos life

he goes into the study to get some extra work done late at night to reassure himself he is useful

with all of the stress from the situation at hand and some stress from supporting the family on his back, he cant help but shed a few tears

all he wants to do is keep those around him happy and healthy... and it tears him apart when he cant

if i cant make the ones i love happy then... what can i do...

he doesnt notice your presence, as he has hands over his eyes and is breathing slowly in order to relax himself

you call out his name softly to get his attention

lucy jumps and tries wiping his eyes and playing it off as if he was never crying

you walk closer to him and he keeps inquiring if theres anything you need

you dont say anything, you just place your arms around him and hold him in a tight embrace

and he starts crying again on your shoulder... harder, this time. holding you tighter and closer in the embrace

because of his pride, its hard for him to admit what he needs the most: someone to show they care for him

mammon

mammon is the type to not cry often but when he does, its a lot

while his brothers dont really have bad intentions, the daily degradation they execute against mammon really gets to him

he can only put up his confident front for so long, and not long after a fight with asmo, it recedes

he lay on his bed sobbing heavily into a pillow to muffle the sound for nearly a full hour

his mind cant help but insist all the words his siblings tell him are true... and he wishes more than anything that you were there to tell him they werent

he looks up to the door every once in a while with blurry vision, mind convincing him theyre at the door, but you not being there makes him cry even harder

maybe they just think the same as the rest of my brothers

he hears the doorknob, but convinces himself its his mind again. ironically enough, this makes him cry even harder

except its actually you this time

you run over to his bed to sit down next to him and rub his back reassuringly, asking if hes alright

he jolts up, shocked youre actually here. he closes his mind and smiles sadly with a tear stained face

he pulls you into an embrace and whispers a soft thank you... your presence helps him more than you will ever know

you hold him for a few minutes and tell him how awesome the Great Mammon really is

its been a long stressful day at rad, and he cant help but overthink every single action he has made

every single glance hes made, every single word hes said ... just everything

most days he would resort to playing a game or watching an anime he loves in attempt to distract himself, but other days its not that easy

he starts spiraling, thinking of not only everything hes done that day, but actions hes done in the past too

eventually hes past the point of no return, and starts having a panic attack

levi cant seem to catch his breath and with the thoughts still rushing through his head at full speed, he cant attempt to calm himself down

he envies those who dont feel the way he does right now because god, what he would do to not feel like this

you were just wondering why your gaming buddy hasnt come looking for you so naturally, you go to him

you knock on his door waiting for him to ask you for the entry code... but theres no response

you enter and are quite shocked to see levi shaking on his bed

this is familiar to you... whether youve had to guide a friend through a panic attack or have been through one yourself, you know what to do

you reassure him this will all pass and knowing how hard school is for him, you tell him he did well today

you get him to regulate his breathing and gain some composure

hes embarassed you had to see him like that... but he lets you know hes so thankful that you came to help him

he just wants to be his own person but with how his life was set for him, its almost as if thats a tall order

its very rare he cries from happiness or anything like that, but sometimes he gets so sad that he gets angry... and then he cries a lot

no one dares to go near him like that

and that hurts him too... that nobody could or would ever dare to console him because they fear what hed do to them

he acknowledges this is a justified fear as he is after all the representation of wrath itself, but it still hurts nonetheless

belphie decided to poke fun and tease satan reminding him of how hes lucifers shadow

he didnt take it well... and retreated to his room to handle his emotions

he knew his family didnt want anything to do with him while he was angry... and that made him feel like a burden

but he grew used to everyone expecting he handle his emotions himself even if every once in a while he desired some reassurance

satan sat in a corner of his room crying to himself waiting for this to pass because he didnt believe anyone else would care to check on him

but you were curious as to why he wasnt in his usual 4 pm reading spot, so you decided to check his room

he was just sat completely still staring into the distance while tears fell down his face

he didnt even notice your presence until you sat down next to him

you didnt want to pry, so you just asked if he wanted to talk about it

he shook his head, laid on your shoulder, and just said “this is all i need”

its easy for him to believe people want to be around him solely with lustful intent rather than because they genuinely love him

he doesnt really believe anyone could ever love him

so he overcompensates through self love because he believes hes the only person who could ever love him

hes great at hiding it but sometimes, this gets to him... especially after some quick encounters with others at the fall

he thinks maybe there is no depth to him.. maybe i really am just a pretty face and nothing else

asmo cries pretty often, but he only lets people see him cry when its over something material (ie, he couldnt get a new bag hes been wanting for weeks)

he cries quietly too in effort to make sure nobody sees him

he seemed to have forgetten that you two were planning to go shopping today so you went to his room to see if he was ready

you werent expecting to see him rolled over in bed softly crying to himself

you startled him when you said his name

“oh, mc, i didnt see you there!” he chuckles lightly to himself in effort to change the mood of the atmosphere as he wipes his eyes

you ask if hes okay and his sad smile falls slightly

he asks you if you genuinely think he could ever be lovable

your heart breaks a little knowing that he even has a moment of self doubt, but you reassure him that hes a lovable person inside and out

you hug him tightly while another tear falls down his face

you two decide shopping is best for another day... for now, you just want to talk and do facials

beel loves his family a lot

more than he loves food (also a lot)

he hates conflict between them and would do absolutely anything to avoid it

what he hates the most about himself is how hungry he gets... hes aware its poorly timed but theres really nothing he can do about it

but the feeling hes being an inconvenience to those he loves hurts him

beel is great at smiling as often as possible, but if theres any tension between the family, he wont stop crying until its resolved

once he was so hungry it wasnt possible to control himself and he ended up going on a rampage

he earned scolds from lucifer, mammon, and satan for this

it tore him apart knowing that he had caused his family trouble for even a second and he started crying because of the guilt

he couldnt even find enough energy to make it back to his room, so he just sat in the kitchen with tears on his face

you had decided to go to the kitchen to get a snack when you saw him

he apologized for being in the kitchen and offered to move if you wanted his seat, but you declined

beel didnt even bother wiping the tears from his eyes... he wore them like they were a punishment for his own behavior

when you asked him what was wrong, all he said was that he was a bad brother

you tried to tell him otherwise, but then he went into detail about the situation and how all he does is cause the family distress

you told him that isnt true at all and he continues to bring light and happiness to all those around him

hearing that his brothers will come around and know he meant no harm is all he needed to hear

“thank you, mc... i feel less hungry when im with you”

he has lots of survivors guilt

its been millenia but he still wishes that it was him instead of lilith

because of this he cries quite often, but never in front of anyone other than beel

this feeling that lilith and him should have traded places haunts him often, and its not always so easy to sleep it off

as fore mentioned, he usually finds comfort in talking to his older twin but beel isnt always there

beel was at one of his clubs at rad and belphie didnt want to bother him, but he really did need someone right now

unlike his older brothers, belphie actually makes an effort to find you

he doesnt find you in your room nor the kitchen, so he continues to search around the house in hopes youre around here somewhere

he happens to find you by yourself in the study on your d.d.d.

belphie feels bad bothering you, and enters the room quite quietly

“mc, can we talk?”

he sits down next to you and lays his head on your shoulder

contrary to what he stated he wanted, not much talking is being done

he just lies there quietly crying with no explanation why

he realises he may not be as ready to talk about it as he thought... but thats okay

you tell him that youre going to listen whenever hes ready to talk about it

that makes him feel a lot better

he falls asleep right there with a thankful smile placed on his face

if i can point out something about the dream situation that i noticed: most dream fans arent really on dreams side on this either. i replied to a mutuals tweet making fun of dreams merch with a little explenation of why dreams merch looks "cheap" and that for the most part its the neon green color. that tweet happened to blow up majorly and so did my reply and i had a lot of both dream haters and dream fans agree with me. most fans are pretty aware of dream's over-defensiveness and despite popular belief are actually not the type to just defend him simply because its dream. i was expecting to get a lot of hate for my critique, but there wasnt rlly a lot of it? and the stuff i did get was mostly from dream haters. his fans have the name of defending dream no matter what, but compared to other fanbases theyre honestly suprisingly quick to admit that "oh yeah dreams being stupid lol" which is funny to me (2/2)

as someone who has been in and out of fandom spaces since 2013, this is actually the strangest thing.  because you would expect this mainly teenage fanbase to be blindly and loyally dedicated to dream and take his word as law.  but that’s not even close to the truth.  this fandom calls him out on his shit and, in general, handles things with way more eloquence and poise than you would expect.  now that might just be my own perspective of the fandom and who i interact with, but i’m used to people just blindly defending their creators.  look at tiktok stars.  to their fans, they literally can do no wrong (even when they Fuck Up).  and that makes sense give their fans are young kids.  

but how many times have ppl made twitter threads calling out creators for something they did/said that was Problematic?  and these aren’t even hate or “cancel culture” threads, these are threads full of information in hopes of educating the CCs.  i think most ppl here generally view dream in a positive light, but ppl also just don’t take shit.  

perhaps it’s a result of this generation of kids growing up on the internet and being fluent in internet culture.  we always drive home the point of “engaging with the media you consume Critically and Thinking For Yourself”.  it might also be just how self-aware the fandom is.  like most ppl know that ppl outside of the mcyt fandom Don’t Like Us and find us annoying.  and so there’s almost like this drive to prove that we’re not that bad.  idk.  it’s interesting to think about because i’ve never been in a community quite like this one before.

✧ Even though she had matured, there was no mistaking it. People were excitedly asking questions about wether she was actually the idol everyone had been seeing on TV & she merely smiled, telling them that yes, she was. Akechi almost fell out of his chair as she properly introduced herself. Still the same name he had kept close to his chest.

✧ After class, many were still interested. Mostly male fans who found her attractive but she was still kind & polite to all. When she peered over at him, he almost did a double-take. Eventually, satiated with their answers, the crowd dismissed into the congregation of the school corridors, leaving the room empty.

✧ Quickly, they became fast friends again. Rumours spread about the two dating but nothing ever came of it. It was simply the press going through the motions as an attempt to make themselves relevant. Such was the life of two celebrities.

✧ When she confides in him & talks about the manager who is a creep towards her, Akechi almost snaps there & then. He asks for their name, reassuring them that he will investigate as a detective. Although he focuses mainly on the Phantom Thieves, he would never turn away from her when she needed help the most.

THE WALTEN FILES: my jumbled notes on my blind run-in with this web series

first off this is gonna be long and unorganized, also this is my second time writing this as i had lost literally half of my progress and im This (imagine two fingers almost touching with a 0.0000000001mm distance between them) close to ripping all of the fucking hair out of my goddamn head. but now this will be extra long and yes, i will lose some accuracy to my first writing but thats okay ill probably edit this a kajillion times over

which brings me to my next tangent; im literally braindumping here. so to have a smidge of organization all afterthoughts, edits and corrections will be boldened, i forgot what im gonna do with italicized text but ill probably bolden it here yeah im pretty sure its for side tangents, separate from Corrections, which are in bold. also theyre for emphasis too.

so in general, this post right here is all of my notes i wrote down on my grid-patterned sticky notes (which i used WAYYYY too much of) about the first 3 uploaded walten files youtube videos transferred onto my handy dandy digital notebook, this b(l)og. yeppers peppers. you know im serious about this shit when i typed probably over like a thousand fucking words including boldened shit, italicized shit and motherfucking links, lost it ALL, and im sitting here re-typing it again.

clarifying this now, im gonna put some useless shit which i thought was code onto this because even though it was useless it was part of my notes and im physically going to combust if i dont put down every single thing i wrote on my papers. so what i thought was code was in the closed captions, i started writing it down when i got to the second video but came back to my first videos notes to include them. i wrote down the first letter to every word that was capitalized in the closed captions, which i had on as a default because number one i knew going into this id need them because most web horror things like args and cryptic shit like that has some of the most crucial shits in the closed captions. number two i am autistic and have auditory processing issues and have most closed captioning on as a default if theyre available.

i then jotted, in parenthesis of course, the names of the animatronics when they were listed in the animation section of the video; bon aka the blue bunny, sha aka the sheep one, boozoo aka the clown<3 honk<33, and banny aka the purpled eyelashed up one who is also a bunny btw. also i got boozoo the clown and boozoo the mustache guy confused because apparently the clowns name is billy???? but they named “boozoo” in bons sleepover and showed the clown? idk maybe im an idiot and theyre the same or just an idiot and theyre different or a super mega (matt and ryan?!?!??) idiot in general which is probably the case

i started drawing little stars to write down things i thought would be super important or to 100% look at again. the first subject of this pointy torture was the part of the video where at 3:00, i marked it down to make sure to reverse the audio as it was most definitely a weird audio that has that signature warp-y effect that makes sure you KNOW its in reverse. i then listened back to it Very carefully (still got it wrong) and got this: “you finally start to remember. that old doll. they will look out for you soon” im also pretty sure i heard “sophie” at the end of that audio but im not entirely sure and dont remember and i dont wanna go back to check lmfao but anyways it didnt matter because i was wrong anyway. after i had finished all 3 walten files i watched the film theory video on the walten files (which didnt cover all 3 but was dece.) out of curiosity and to hear matpats signature silly little voice explain some stuff i already knew, and click some shit in my brain that i couldve thought up of if i was a bit more... i dont know honestly. anyways yeah so the actual audio is “you finally start to remember. that old day. they will look out for you soon.” so yeah. day, not doll.

i then wrote down “sarah evelyn”, the name on the bons sleepover animation (i dont remember if she created it or animated it or whatnot) and scribbled will she matter? under her name. turns out no, as i didnt see her name in the rest of the series, let alone the first video. this is also a great time to mention how matpat theory helped me realize that the walten files are collections of videos, uploaded onto youtube by anthony. (i already knew about anthony as he signed his name in the descriptions of the youtube videos, making me categorize this overall web series more into an arg type genre.) but yes, the tapes, recorded “irl” footage, animated clips, vhs tape recordings and other audio-visual content is all collected and labeled the walten files, as i had mistaken each video to be a tape. stupid me. alrighty, onward!
