“No, hun. That's not what I meant.” Asmo pulls you into a hug. A real one that he doesn't let you shrug off. “What I'm saying is that you can talk to him about whatever you want and I'm sure he’ll understand or at least help you work through it.”

His hug is warm and soothing, arms holding you close and tight without feeling suffocating. 

“You're the best, Asmo,” The words are a little slurred and shaky, but it’s easy to get emotional when you’re buzzed and Asmo is being so sweet. “I don’t know. It has nothing to do with Mammon. It’s just, I’ve never had great self-esteem, so physical intimacy can be a little hard. Mammon’s been waiting for Asmo to text him all day, nervously pacing or playing with random things in his room to occupy the time. He’s flipping through an old copy of a magazine he modeled for when his phone buzzes with Asmo’s custom ringtone, quickly followed by yours. He snatches the phone off the bed and flops down between the pillows. He reads the text from Asmo first.

“Ugh.” Mammon glares at the ceiling. He was sure Asmo would come through. Especially after loaning you two Lucifer’s stolen his credit card for the day out.

You kick yourself for how quickly you break the kiss to murmur against his lips, “I’ve been lying to you. Well, only by omission, but still. Can we talk?”

Your hands hold each other to stay steady. Realistically, there’s nothing to be nervous about. You’ve blown this whole thing out of proportion, but it’s not like insecurities follow basic logic. 

“Yea, ‘f course.” His hands trail down your sides. 

You don’t notice the sweat, more the warmth as he thumbs over each of your ribs.

“Just talk to me, angel.”

And you hate that it sounds like he’s begging. Like he wants you to dump your baggage on him. Especially, when it should be so easy for you to just get over it on your own.

What makes your amazing work so amazing? What can you do to bring something different to this multi verse?

★ Don't be afraid of interacting with people but withstand your boundaries.

Unless those people are total dickwads and have no life, making interactions with people is a great place to start. You'll build a solid support system, people who aren't just interested in your stories but genuinely want to see you thrive! Little side note- don't let people stand on you either. I've had many a time where people thought they could push my boundaries and got kicked to the curb. Don't be a door mat, how will anyone respect your characters if they don't respect their creator?

★ Last but certainly not least - believe in yourself!

Okay, this one is a little corny and I know what you're probably thinking. 'But Pixie, I have low self confidence and esteem. Being confident doesn't come naturally.' And I'm super sorry to hear that. You're a wonderful person with flaws, but those flaws don't undermind your best traits one bit. If you don't believe in it, believe in us to believe in you. Would there be hundreds of people lying to your face? Really? No. There would be some merit behind their words, right? I faked it till I made it. Now? I have the ability to trust my own talent. IT IS SO SO THEM!!!!!! :D and i think with annie and brady they're for me, at least, just a comfort couple. like. they just get each other. they're comfortable with each other and trust each other and just naturally gravitate towards one another when in doubt. it's just. THEM! they're so comfortable to write about and so i am very, very excited for that :)

also the drama i told you about "doom at your service", after finishing it my opinion has changed a little, it was a nice drama overall but after the first 8, the story seemed like it was being stretched for no reason </3 i have nothing to watch these days hdksekks this time last year i had 2521 and business proposal to keep myself entertained but this year there is nothing 😭 even gose isn't here </3, did you find something interesting to watch? or read? i haven't had time and will to read hsjsksjs </3

but today i did go out of my comfort zone and watched a movie called medianeras (sidewalls), it's pretty melancholic but i liked it, ( idk why google or some reviews are saying it's funny or rom com 😭, it was actually sad and reflective but had a good ending imo) it's about how urban and internet lifestyle have had the opposite effect on people and have made them feel lonely despite having everything in one click. it was,, different. probably something what i was expecting from chunking express jshdjsjsnns

but in midst of all this i love love how booseoksoon came through 🥺 they brought back the spark hdjddj i love all the songs ( tho just like you, i love fighting and 7pm a little bit more than lunch ), it was so wholesome to see them have fun performing 😭 also youngji's feature fits so well <3 i can't stop talking about it hskdks it felt so natural <3 i haven't been this satisfied with a feature song in a long while ( same with 7pm ). if there was anything else fighting! needed it was definitely her. it made me so happy to see bss performing with her and peder <33

My week is going great! Had a few assignments due today so I’m super relieved they’re done and out of the way and I could just relax and enjoy my classes for the rest of the week :)

I intended for my project to be on Christian cannibalism (basing it on the catholic doctrine of transubstantiation which is the belief that the bread and wine actually turn into the body of Christ during mass) and formulating some moral or ethical debate based on ancient philosophies that directly influenced Christianity but my professor wasn’t very fond of the cannibalism aspect and “gently” suggested I explore something else related to the communion so much to think about regarding what direction I want to take my project in now cause I was super into my idea but anyways!

How’s your week been? You’ve mentioned you work very long shifts are they usually super stressful? Hope not but I don’t know what it’s like to work in the medical field!! So much respect for you

As for ideas I think I’ll send in another ask <33 also you’re the absolute sweetest for liking my ideas and engaging with them🫶

My week was okay, I was still on sick leave till wednesday and then worked on thursday, friday and saturday. I took a nap yesterday that I only woke up from this morning. My neck hurts quite a bit, I think I strained a muscle because I'm sleeping with more pillows because of my cough. And I was working on my own ss gift, which is a little scary but mostly fun!

Also my sleep and eating schedule has been a mess since like I take a nap right after my exams and then wake up at ass o clock, make food, and then study until sunrise and go straight to my exam. Rinse and repeat 💀💀 this ain't good but I can't rly do anything about it 😭 uni life is legit how much rest can I squeeze out of the 24 available hours. It's not a question of when but a question of how much 😭, as long as I sleep and eat something that's good enough (for exam week at least I swear It's not this bad on usual days 💀)

It is the end of the day and I have come to make my report :3c

The day started out a little rough ngl I had to wake up super early and there were some issues during 1st period BUT I got a cherry lemonade from the local coffee shop by my house :D I love cherry lemonade <3

The rest of the day was pretty great tho!! They had tomatoes in the cafeteria which makes the chicken sandwich I usually get taste so much better!! and my friend gave me some of her potato wedges when I offered to give her my cookie :D School potato wedges are the BEST they’re so good

I was able to get an entire!! Paragraph!! Done on this essay project that’s been dragging down for weeks! I have a very hard time with essays so that was very much needed :3

And today in Japanese we got to go outside and do a little team competition with writing hiragana on the concrete, and I got to use a blue piece of chalk shaped like an egg and it was fun and my team had fun trying to remember all the characters we needed and I helped another kid in my team try to nail his あ　character :D we got chalk dust everywhere but it was very fun

And then in World Lit we started reading about Oedipus and I have like,,, the coolest World Lit teacher ever he’s awesome, and at one point when he was reading he noticed how confused we all looked about some details and then he realized he never told us about Oedipus’ backstory so he pauses reading and starts telling us about it and the dude is like,, really good at telling stories, he’s very engaging and makes learning about stuff like this not boring, so it was fun to listen to :D

And then I went home and got to curl up with our dog in my comfy new blanket until we went to our favorite Mexican restaurant for dinner, and yeah

I’m sorry I just went on a total ramble spree (^^;) but the point is!!! I had a very good day today :Dc so thank you <3

(my one hope tho is that I can speedrun and turn in these two Econ assignments I have before today ends so I can still get full credit so wish me luck!! (^^) )

So I absolutely did not intend to have two long ongoing series, nor did I really intend to have a modern AU (I'm no good at AUs XD ), but the whole Christmas movie thing just happened at me in December 2020, when I really needed something to cheer me up, and then after that I couldn't just leave them where they were (and I'd had to leave all the smut out of the first one as it was firmly T-rated XD ) so I ended up writing a sequel, and at this point it's all got thoroughly out of hand, and the events it's describing get further and further away every moment that passes and aargh.

Anyway, I wanted to do something about the whole lockdown experience, but in a fluffy escapist sort of way, where the lockdown made Bard and Thranduil get round to doing something about everything much quicker than they otherwise would have done (Sigrid would like to point out that if it hadn't been for lockdown, they'd probably still be dancing around each other now), Bard and the kids could get out of the situation they were in, and I could vicariously get out of my tiny house and into Greenwood Hall (when I was writing the early chapters we were locked down again, between January and March, which is my least favourite time of the year anyway, and I was struggling with a lot of stuff, and writing about getting to go and live in a great big lovely house with lots of lovely people was enormously comforting). I've ended up weaving all manner of stuff into it from my work - I'm an archivist and one of my jobs involves spending a certain amount of time working in the cellar of a real life stately home that's not open to the public - and the house, the gardens, the pikes in the hall, the photographer great-aunt and gardener great-grandmother are all inspired by real places, objects and people :D Which is fun :D (I've also done what I never ever do and written myself into one of the side-stories XD I feel less weird about it because the character is an old friend/colleague of Bard's and is otherwise not at all involved in the character dynamics...)

I don't quite know how this one is going to end, although I do have a couple of beats to hit and an event to work towards - and I have written a series of ficlets set at Christmas 2020, so after the notional end of the story - but I'm not entirely sure quite what to do with it. I've been struggling with all my WIPs for a while now, the insane fit of creativity that hit me in June 2020 having well and truly run out by last summer, and I could really do with getting on with this one, but also weaving work into it is coming back to bite me in the arse a bit because all the rummaging-in-the-attics-and-cellars stuff is intriguing to readers (I hope!) but it's work to me and a bit run-of-the-mill XDD so I'm struggling to feel like writing it. But I do have to, because one of the beats I want to hit is the kids setting up a youtube channel with videos of them testing out all the historic weaponry they've been finding in the house :D with a certain amount of flurry in the comments when Bard, supervising and instructing, gets caught on camera (and another when Thranduil happens to walk past in the back of a shot XD ).

thank you so much you’re gonna make me cry. i’ve been okay. i’ve just been feeling like i’m letting everyone on this app down. idk maybe i’m just in my head, but i feel bad that i don’t update as much as i used to. i used to write two fics per week and in the summer, like three or four. :/
