Thinking about how Mike actually didn't want to tell El 'i love you' because during their time apart he actually realized he might like Will but the thought of being different, (the very thing that he'd been bullied for throughout his life) scared him so he repressed it and continued to act like he was straight

thinking about how he felt pressured into a confession by the stakes and the fact that, 'if i don't tell her i love her, if i don't give her "the courage she needs to fight on", like Will said, my family, most of my friends, and my whole hometown might die. even if it's not what i actually feel, i have to tell her, because how important am i in the grand scheme of the world ending anyway?'

33. Who has the most nightmares and how do they deal with them?

Usually Jan. He usually wakes Nace up to tell him, what happened, so he can bring him water and cuddle him.

36. How’d they meet each other’s families?

Jan met Nace’s family through family gathering around Nace’s bday. Sadly (it’s a spoiler for my upcoming work, also CW: possible homophobia) one of uncles threw some homophobic comments and Nace’s mom kicked him out of the party and said “if you don’t accept my sons, you can might as well leave”. True ally!

Nace met Jan’s family randomly, he just came to Vrhnika and never felt that shy, regarding the suspicions about him when Petehs found out about Jan’s new love. He started to warm up, Jan’s mom apologized for not having any gf cake (Jan had cookies), but still - they talked, drank some coffee and Jan’s parents accepted Nace into the family. He’ll eventually meet the rest during other family gatherings, but won’t hear out loud comments. (Sadly, they will overhear some from grandparent, but Jan’s brother will yell @ them)

frankly, the people whose kneejerk reaction to bisan asking for a global strike form the 21st-28th is to say that it takes years to organize a general strike are really unhelpful! no one is saying otherwise, but palestine will be a smoking crater if we all wait for years to do anything - bisan is asking us to do something now. Like are we only supposed to do something if we can do it perfectly??? At some point it’s a valid critique about the work that goes into social movement, and at another point I feel like some people are just trying to absolve themselves from not putting any effort into observing a week of economic inaction.

like idk! I get it, okay! People have bills to pay that don’t magically go away for a strike, we don’t have nearly enough social infrastructure in place to support people to fully stop going to work for a week. But fuck, dude! Stop immediately responding in such a defeatist way! Cut out unnecessary purchases! Try to shop local! Put more effort into promoting Palestinian voices online! Attend a protest, call a local rep, do something!

I really try not to be a conspiracy theorist but I’m seriously flip flopping on whether or not I believe Luigi Mangione actually did it, on one hand this guy’s digital footprint is too vast to not be a real person with real motive, but on the other hand the circumstances of how they caught him are so odd that it just doesn’t add up, like, he wore very nondescript clothing and a mask the day of the shooting, suggesting he doesn’t want to be identified, despite this they were somehow able to identify him at a hostel in different clothing without a mask, he not only fled the scene but allegedly fled New York with a fake ID that the police recovered, several days later they found him in Pennsylvania carrying around all of the evidence in his backpack, including a manifesto, gun, and fake ID, the police also claim he had somewhere between $8,000-$12,000 in his bag, yet when asked about it Luigi claims he had no idea where the money came from and suggests it was planted (which raises several more alarm bells because if this “evidence” was planted then what else could they have fabricated to “catch” this guy?)

this not mentioning the fact that I find it really odd that this guy didn’t digitally publish his manifesto and instead chose to carry a physical copy of it around for days

this all could mean that he wanted to get caught but if that’s the case why go to Pennsylvania at all? why not just stay in New York?

I will say, though, that I think some of this can also be explained by this comment on Reddit:

edit: I realized I forgot to mention this part but it’s also so suspicious how everyone, the police, the media, whatever, are all 100% certain that Luigi Mangione did it, I’ve seen so many high profile cases where cops do press conferences and say “this is America, the suspect is innocent until proven guilty!” yet they’re not even calling Luigi a suspect, they’re outright saying he is the shooter and that he did do it, that’s just weird to me
