i dreamed i was supposed to be going out for dinner with frank iero but i was running late because i needed a wee and i couldnt get into my hotel room and every public toilet in the building was blocked. and eventually i realised the only solution was to wake up and have a wee in real life so i stopped needing one in the dream. but then when i went to go back to sleep it was 9am so i decided id better stay up and i never even got to go to the stupid dinner :(

#it was supposed 2 be like a group of people not a personal dinner date with frank iero #but i was just stopping by my hotel to drop my bag off (which it then turned out id left on the bus anyway 😔)#and i was like oh man theyre probably all settling in and getting pre-dinner drinks and im stuck here hopping back and forth 😭

Train services are so fucked from the storm that they've had to pull in every decent sized vehicle to act as rail replacement and most of those can't take payment but the guy was like well I'm going to the city anyway and they're paying me overtime so like. Get on the bus it's cold out I'll give you a ride. Saves you waiting half an hour to get on your other bus. Class solidarity in action thank you bus man

i remember when writting essays in 5th grade my teacher would do stuff like projecting to the board and reading aloud the ones she deemed the better ones among the class and with how she also allowed us One semi related picture to add into them one time this kid just put straight up sasuke on it

ughhhhhh remind me to never ride motor vehicles ever again

#when i was little‚ i used to read books on seven hour car rides. i was practically immune to carsickness.#as i got older‚ that immunity persisted. to some extent.#as i got even older‚ i started taking meds. like‚ a LOT of meds. enough that even I couldn't take them all in one swallow.#and somewhere along the way‚ i was prescribed a pill that tended to make me slightly nauseous on occasion.#and then that immunity disappeared.#and now i get carsick. i have never gotten carsick before‚ and i do not know how to manage it.#i ALSO had not gotten seriously sick in so long that i forgot where the threshold was.#on November 17th‚ 2023‚ i threw up on my school bus for the first time ever.#(partially due to the fact that i never rode busses before that year‚ partially due to the immunity.)#i didn't know where the point was where it got to “we need to stop the bus” and i learned the hard way.#luckily there was only me‚ the bus driver‚ and his kid‚ my friend on board. so it was generally fine. but that was where i learned the signs #and todayyyyyyy i had those signs once again. and immediately panicked.#luckily we were maybe a minute from home so i just hopped off the car and ran to the bathroom #i was at the “swallowing down saliva” stage which is fun cuz the saliva tastes weird so youve got that taste in your mouth for the next hour #i did NOT throw up. i was very near it tho #this has been a memoir in my tags #and i need to take several lay downs #existenceunrelateds

Off now.

I actually had a pretty good day, all things considered?!

For one thing, I slept a LOT better than I thought I would last night, which was nice. I also met with my financial advisor, explained my situation to her, and we agreed to start meeting with the rest of my team again to start looking for new jobs. Until then though, I was able to take a couple steps to take care of myself until something else comes up...apply for unemployment benefits, sign the severance agreement from my old job to get the payment from them...so hopefully soon I should have a little more money coming my way soon to help me along.

All the same, fingers crossed that I’m able to find something sooner rather than later...

Outside of that, I was able to start on a birthday drawing for a friend, read one of the latest chapters of a fanfic I started reading some time back and for some reason was never alerted to by AO3 when the new chapters came out...all in all, once I was able to get myself secured, and come up with a plan, the day was okay.

Anyway, quick shout-out to people like @thenightjillcamehome, @trying-my-best-always, @pure-vanilla-lilies, and @winged-wolf-s-collection-of-arts, for checking out and reblogging my latest projects. That really meant a lot with everything going on, guys :)
