the couch im reupholstering is almost done. it's beautiful. it's gold velvet. im installing the back panel, the last step before i sew the cushion covers. i rotate it from standing upright on one armrest to lying flat in its normal position. i get like 70° of the way there and think "eh it's fine i'll just drop it it's not that heavy." i drop it. on my foot. i see stars. i sit on the folding chair in the room, head in hands, shinji style. there i remain.

Hello guys, gals, and nb pals, Twily here.

Within the next... (quickly does some math) 48 hours? I'm going to be crossing the border from Canada to the US. Via bus may I add, not by plane. Anyways, here's what I'm doing to get through border crossing smoothly as a queer disabled teen. And like... being in the US period.

First off, I'm bringing the cane! There will be cane! I'm taking it with me through the border crossing office, I will not be leaving it with my other belongings.

Second! Meds! I have prescribed medication, which I am bringing in its original packaging (and I just got my prescription refilled). I'm also thinking of bringing the paper with the official prescription from my doctor.

Third! Masks and other over the counter medication. I actually have a cold rn, but I'm also going to be on the bus with other kids for 10 hours and the flu is going around.

Fourth! Ear plugs and noise canceling headphones. Everything is gonna be chaotic and loud and I break down easily in stressful situations. I'm also going to be wearing comfy clothes and have portable chargers for all my devices.

That's mostly it. If I had a letter detailing all my chronic fuckery, I would bring that too, but I don't have one of those yet. I might also take the pride pins off my purse? Maybe? Idk.
