Lupin Canon VS Headcanon

Saw this template on twitter a while back and had to try my hand at it! It’s very fun style matching, especially since I’m doing that for my day job right now. I drew my version first then tried to match various Lupin styles that inspire me and put the characters in the same pose/expression. Give it a try, it’s a fun challenge! FIGHT FLIGHT FREEZE!!

i don’t think any of them are fawning if we’re honest

lupin:  90% flight, 10% fight in specific circumstances. he’s got pretty quick reflexes, so sometimes it just comes down to whichever is least likely to  get him killed! yay!

jigen: FIGHT. DOWN TO LUPIN JUST JUMPED AROUND THE CORNER TO SCARE HIM AND HE ACTED ON INSTINCT AND NOW THERE’S A BLACK EYE INVOLVED. at least it’s funny to him and the others 

fujiko: fight but DOES try to think before throwing that punch. try. it’s almost a defensive offense situation if that. makes literally any sense. and if she’s outgunned, then she isn’t too proud to get the fuck outta there!! 

goemon: freeze and he hates it. but thinking logically here, it IS the best option of the three for him-- fight could end bad really fast, and he’d hate to run away in the event someone needed him/he could easily take on this greater evil or whatever. him being stuck in shock for the .5 seconds it takes to get over it is probably for the best in the end

zenigata: has a mental two-step process! 1. is it lupin related? 2. is it worth it anyway if not? if the answer is no to both, he dips, but otherwise he’s kiiiinda leaning on the fight side more often than not. there’s a LOT that’s “worth it” to him

yata: as has been demonstrated like. a lot. my guy stops dead in his tracks when anything catches him off guard. he’s only slightly gotten better about this in regards to stuff like “oh my god if i don’t tackle Him he’s actually going to jump out of this moving bus” but in terms of SELF-preservation. tends to freeze up
