Seriously, thank you for sending me this message! I mean, I know there’s a lot of bitter, silent Cas fans out there who feel alienated, lonely and think that that nobody understands them. Or have already moved to other fandoms like you! My post was meant for all of you. But it always nice to get a confirmation that my message worked. Because dude, it’s not only that my post touched a nerve, it’s also that they didn’t understood what I was talking about? I almost started to doubt my skilz to english. So, messages from Cas fans like you assure me that nope, my post was clear. It’s just them who don’t even try to understand us, as usual. 

Every time, when we are missing Cas on the show and grumbling on tumblr, there’s some meta writer nicely explaining how Cas has to be separated from Dean for now, but just you wait! The big destiel moment is coming! And in the end, we get no Cas and no destiel. But that doesn’t matter to other fans, because they got their 23 eps with S & D, while Cas is in deleted scenes section on dvd. And now, in s13, we will get Dean and Sam teaching Jack about humanity because it is a parallel to destiel??? WTF? Why Cas’ fans should be happy about that? This is the story line we hoped to get in s9, remember how well for Cas that went. The show is rubbing salt in my wounds and I’ve to be happy because parallels?

Ugh, season 10 was the worst. For folks who wasn’t here then, this post has good summary how Cas and destiel was cut out of the show, and here’s more speculations about destiel not happening. I remember how we spend all summer discussing how angel Cas will save demon Dean, and yeaaa - Cas’ “there’s a female in my car”, Cas out (10x03). Meta peeps where all, but wait, the big destiel moment, Cas saves Dean with his grace, will come at the end of season! Trust the title card!! They have to keep Cas away from Dean now, but finale will be amazing!!! Like literally, Cas fans were told to stop complaining because destiel will happen and that’s all you need, right? How about NO? And then 10x22 happened and Cas was under mad dog spell and boya, fandom didn’t care for Cas or his fans.  

Same was with 11x23. There’s such a buildup on the show and from meta peeps about Dean and Sam saving Cas from Luci, Cas getting better with his depression and then BOOM. All my dash was about how amazing Dean was, while Cas’ fans were scolded for not liking Dean’s little pep talk in the car. 

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t blame meta writers for these scenes on the show. they picked up on many clues because subtext was there. It’s the show that didn’t deliver. Meta writers couldn’t predict it. But for heavens sake, meta writers could at least remember these things? That the show is crap at delivering it’s subtext? Or treat Cas fans better? Or, I don’t know, try to understand why Cas’ fans are sad and respect that? 

Ugh. Sorry about my rant. I’m using these asks to explain on my blog why Cas fans are so bitter and have really hard time with the latest sunny, shinny destiel meta. Like, where do I even start explaining my frustration with Cas’ story to folks who have been in the fandom only 1-2 years? If anybody is interested, start with my destiel is deleted scenes tag or send an ask.

tl;dr - Cas’ fans want Cas on the screen, not some random parallels or trench coated strangers. I will take Cas as a bro in every episode instead of destiel at this moment, if destiel means that Cas is not on the show.
