EDIT: I am a drama queen and just assume a lot of Trimax readers misinterpreted this scene bc I saw like only two people do it but I’m also using this as an excuse to yap about Vash and Knives’ personalities bc it was super interesting in this volume ok byyeee read on:

Is it just me or is the majority of the fandom under the impression that it was Knives who stabbed Rem?? Because it was actually Vash. Which I think says a lot about their actual personalities vs how the fandom perceives them.

Analysis under the cut!

In classic Nightow fashion, it's hard to figure out wtf is going on and you gotta read over it multiple times, but look:

After the discovery of Tesla, Knives faints and is placed in a little incubator thing or whatever and Vash laments the fact he remained awake to mull over the horrors. From this point on, Knives is not in the picture bc he's busy honk mimimi (which is actually something he employs as a coping mechanism throughout the story... his precious beauty sleep...)

Now, Vash is refusing to eat and lashes out at Rem, expressing his disdain for being stuck on a spaceship with all these nasty humans.

Rem once again tries to get Vash to eat, peeling him a fruit.

Vash lunges for the knife and attempts to stab himself, but Rem stops him.

Vash is locked in a reactive state - he's in shock and acting out. This is where I think ppl miss the mark in interpreting the twins and why Vol. 7 is so important.

Vash can actually be nasty as hell. He ain't all that babygirl. His silly goofy facade is a way of integrating himself into the human world sure - but it's also lying to himself. He's impulsive, stubborn, and dare I say arrogant with his Messianic martyr type shit. (EDIT: I’m being a bit harsh here… I mean yeah he’s the only person on Gunsmoke who’s got a chance against Knives but like getting up in townspeople’s business gets really annoying imo like I understand why he does it but man…that’s why we’ve got Wolfwood bc narrative foil and whatever… anyway)

Knives on the other hand, internalises everything. Though he may appear to be the one who lashes out, and yes of course he's also arrogant, but it's mostly projection. He is in a MAD state of denial. For all his talk of being a superior being, that humans are icky and should all perish, yada yada yada, he actually wishes for love and acceptance - he wants to be safe.

Obviously, his head is too far up his ass to admit it, and he's always too busy tweaking about how annoying Vash is and blaming Rem for everything to actually try and sit down and think of better ways to do things but ANYWAY

(You know who else's head is up their ass? Vash. The twins are actually so alike if you really study them!! Anywayyyy)

That was Knives' whole deal from THE VERY BEGINNING. Knives was the one to cry in relief when Conrad and the crew accepted them, not Vash. Vash was more like "ok cool! life might not be so bad! yipee!" and then Knives had to Big Fall about his internalised plantphobia or whatever etc etc.

I AM GETTING SIDETRACKED !! ok so

The stabbing occurs. Again, hard to tell it's actually occurring bc Nightow, but yeah Vash stabbed Rem. Not Knives! Bro has passed out for a couple days now lol.

More evidence it's Vash - Vash was the one to express feeling suicidal. Knives cannot express anything to save his life bc he's the king of internalisation and deflection and projection lmao. Also yeah he's still eeping.

Oh look! He rises! Completely unaware of the drama that has unfolded! Not that he'd care! He's set on a mission to hurl humanity to the dust bowl of Gunsmoke! Little scamp.

💕TF2 Cuddling Headcanons💕

(Demoman, Scout, Sniper)

💣Demoman- If you consider him practically smothering you when drunk to be cudding, then he is the most cuddly of the mercs. However, if this does not suit your fancy, that would be understandable. He does like to be touchy with you, not as much as spy, but he always has a hand on your thigh if you’re sitting together, or a hand on your shoulder if you are sitting. Kind of like a stoic painting, even though he is anything but. But if we’re talking real cuddling, then he is a big fan of half spooning. Not quite spooning, but you know that thing couples do when they’re watching a movie together? When they’re like sandwiched. Sandviched. Yeah that. He likes to keep you close. Definitely a fan of picking you up and spinning you around, but unlike scout, Demo succeeds. When you guys have movie nights, which usually involves half the base, he likes to keep an arm around you. He usually ends up falling asleep like this-he’s not a movie guy. 

⚾Scout-He. Can. Not. Okay, he can. Sometimes. But he’s real antsy. His leg is constantly bouncing, he twitches in his sleep. He can’t not be doing something.. So cuddling is a bit rare, but in no way are you starved. If he falls asleep while you two are sitting down, then his head is on your shoulder, or you two are just tangled together. Mostly his cuddling involves being tangled together. Getting up in the morning is a real project. If it’s not him you’re tangled in, then it’s the blanket. He kicks a lot, like a dog dreaming. Normally he kicks the blanket off of himself and onto you, but on rare occasions it gets caught on his foot. Depending on how close to the edge of the bed you are, you might fall off. This scares the shit out of both of you, so you both end up apologizing for some reason. I know this is a cuddling headcanon post, but I just need you to know this. If you’re having a rough day he’ll stay in one place long enough to comfort you. Sometimes he just has a moment of clarity where he’s like “omg my personnnn” and you end up staying at his side for however long it takes him to get over that(he does not get over it)

🦘Sniper-Even though he is deranged, he is surprisingly gentle with you. He is touch-starved and probably socially starved all considered, so you guys are attached at the hip whenever it is just you two. He’s not opposed to some parallel play-him shooting and you doing whatever it is you do, but mostly he just likes to sit and mess with your hair, hands, face, almost like he is observing you? It’s a little weird. But at least it isn’t your organs! As far as cuddling goes, usually you are just on top of each other honk shoo-ing and snore mimimi-ing. Despite being touch starved as previously mentioned, he doesn’t do a whole lot of cuddling. Mostly just being near each other is okay for him

Alex strikes me as a honk mimimi kinda person get him cozy for one second and it’s lights out he will wear that blanket around the house if he wakes up in the middle of the night, I think stitch and shira have their separate little bed tho but maybe he has plushies of them. it’s very funny to imagine if you pulled the sheets back on enea sleeping you would clap your eyes on the full physique of a serene Roman god you wouldn’t even be lusting it would just be the sheer power of abs thighs and skin just hitting you face on. The moment I clapped eyes on Fabio’s horribly monogrammed fits I knew this was a brother who has one million pairs of equally horribly monogrammed pajamas. He probably has a similar amount of patterned bathrobes…every day I dread imagining what this man’s closet looks like…I’m ngl Aleix probably wears like a tank top and his boxers to bed like the ultimate dad fit and Jorge wears like, frat boy shit so an oversized sleeveless shirt that he never gave back to Aleix. i'd like to think eternal sugar falls into her old habits really easily, and that includes unintentionally settling into a constant consistent routine

She'll notice things about the others and then incorporate those into her day to day things

For example: Elder Faerie tends to go to bed at a certain time and if he goes to bed any later he tends to be a bit cranky in the morning? Okay, she starts making sure he's at least laying down by that time, if he can't sleep for whatever reason she sings to him until he does fall asleep

Burning Spice isn't eating much of the food served by the fae? Alright, she's getting foods she knows he'll eat to make sure he's getting enough to eat and not starving himself

Benign Butter seems uncharacteristically down after being cooped up in the library or something? Alright time to go for a walk or even a fly, just anything to get out of the faerie kingdom for a little bit!

Shadow Milk seems bored for whatever reason? Alright, Eternal Sugar is asking questions about topics she knows he was super interested in at one point, she doesn't have to do much talking herself because Shadow Milk is happy to just have someone listening to him ramble!

Mystic Flour seems snappy? Alright, Eternal Sugar is hugging them and quietly praising them until they're calm, being sure not to raise her voice too high in case it upsets them because of sensitive hearing but her voice is firm and confident nonetheless

Silent Salt is antsy? Alright! Eternal Sugar is happy to spar with them until they're all tuckered out again and can relax once more

She does it all consistently and so many other things too and everyone else can't help but adore her for it (she gets frequently showered with love for her attention to detail about them and she never knows how to respond)

She tries her best to take care of them where they forget to, even if she forgets to do the same for herself <3

Eternal Sugar is just everyone's emotional support wife fr fr

honestly if the beasts do get a redemption arc, Eternal Sugar would probably be the first one to get redeemed, she just seems like she was just tired of being a hero and just wanted to go "honk snore mimimi-", which honestly fair /silly

tbh The Rake is a mood— I, too, simply sit down at my hommie's bed and stare at them with big doe void eyes while they stare back wondering wtf I want, and sometimes wish to dissappear into the fog

And you did a great job picturing how being real sick makes you feel crap-o and like you're dying, golden star on that! I feel lucky to not being able to relate to this level of sickness personally but you sure did great on making it immersing

Also!! Personally my fave scenes from the chapter were the bear trap and the cryptid encounter. I really liked the turmoil of seeing a living nightmare while being without of your single ounce of comfort for a reason unknown to you — just plain panicking on and on until it just "stops" because the 'stressor' went away. And idk the bear trap part just scratched really really nice on my brain good job
