My view of Batman as a character has been so fundamentally changed because of how HORRIBLE he's been written. And it's fucking sad cuz I genuinely loved batman & Robin when I was a kid. As someone who has been abused by my own father it hurts so much to see his character waste away.

Isn't he meant to encapsulate justice? Isn't he meant to be the one you could lean on and trust to comfort children in their time of need?? Cuz that's not what I'm fucking seeing lately.

Sure people change but he's changing for the worse. It would be an interesting storyline to follow but I know DC would either say it's not Bruce's fault, make it somehow Jason's fault, or when someone tries to stand up to Bruce their would be a "calm down" or "Be the bigger person" bit.

UG AND WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE JASON?? THE BOY WHO HAS A HISTORY OF ABUSE?? (Or atleast alluded to have being abused)

And this doesn't even touch on what he fucking did to Dick last time, forcing him to fake his death and when he didn't want to he beat him.

How the FUCK can you write batman in this way?? I'm just at a loss for words.

WFA is the nicest thing to read when the rest of DC comics are bogged down by Bruce being a POS. Thank goodness it exists...

I know WFA is too OOC for some people, but I need that shit right now.

I do love seeing the Batfam beating the shit out of each other. I like how messy their relationships are and I have always loved flawed characters.

But idk, man, Batman #138 just really crossed a line for me and I need a reminder that there are other depictions of Bruce that aren't so fucking heinous.

honestly I think the show runners are being genuinely stupid right now cuz a part of the reason got season 8 was a disaster was of course due to no proper buildup and bad writing but I honestly think it was the marketing and all the press tours of the actors like they all genuinely made it seem like daenerys wasn’t a very flawed individual and alot of scenes that should’ve been presented as oh that’s actually a very dark thing she’s doing we’re instead turned into girl boss moments. The majority of the audience wasn’t mentally prepared for the turn cuz in-universe practically no one had realistic reactions to her and called her out. This especially backfired cuz alot of people that were watching the show were not reading the books and making theories. ( like dude at the very least your actors shouldn’t be so horrified and shocked like forget following the marvel way of keeping scripts secret for months just follow the Alan Rickman snape thing and let them know so they perform accordingly )

Now instead of learning from that they want the love dany got before season 8 from the audience but it’s like now you know how this ends for rhaenyra this is not a secret but again alot of the audience watching this probably hasn’t read the books so you have to lay down the groundwork otherwise you’re going to end up in the same position once again cuz the book-blind audience will only see that oh rhaenyra has been making all the right decisions why is she also turning ‘mad’.

They should be thinking longterm right now and how to make sure the prestige of the show remains even after it’s over but that won’t happen if again you are purifying these characters and fundamentally changing who they are but still want the same plot beats to happen.

at this point I can’t easily picture the outrage for rhaenyra taking an evil turn later on and how the show runners are sabotaging her

I do hope they aren't planning on downplaying Rhaenyra's mad queen arc, because that would completely ruin her character (though what we've seen from this season so far, there's little hope of a book-accurate Rhaenyra arc happening).

How it's going now I can almost see it being the threat of Aemond and Vhagar and stories of their devastation in the Riverlands being the reason people rise up against the dragons and Targaryens as a whole (instead of it being Rhaenyra's paranoia and cruelty, as well as Helaena's death, that causes the people of King's Landing to turn against Rhaenyra, kill the dragons, and drive her out of the city). The way Aemond has treated the smallfolk so far, how he will in future episodes, according to the leaks, and this episode's highlighting of all the sheep being sent to Vhagar despite the lack of food in King's Landing, along with the smallfolk apparently loving Rhaenyra and the Blacks despite them causing the blockade and Meleys murdering hundreds... it seems to be conveniently setting up the blame of the fall of the dynasty to go towards the Greens completely.

I wouldn't be surprised if Rhaenyra continues to be absolved of wrongdoing... although it would clearly be a much more interesting show if the writing would start allowing Rhaenyra her fire and exploring her superiority complex and the impact it has on how she rules and others view her.

If they continue to present her as some flawless girlboss and somehow also want to include the mad queen arc though... they'll be in for a rough ride.

Fantasy Month :My Little Pony Escape from Katrina

So I had a really fun idea for today,do a Saturday Morning Cartoon bonanza ,look at a bunch of random episodes of Fantasy themed animated shows and at Noon review all I watched .....SO I ended up sleeping in and had to make brekfast and by the time noon rolled along ,I had only watched one cartoon ....A cartoon that thankfully I do have some things to talk about but is held back by the style of the time

So lets talk My Little Pony . I did watch and enjoy a few seasons of My Little Pony Friendship is Magic ,but OG MLP ,is both before my time and wasnt the sort of thing I watched though I have seen the original special that started the franchise .So why did I check this out:Soley cause Tammy Grimes AKA Molly Gru from Last Unicorn plays the villain ,and I love her vocal performance there so I wanted to hear her here

The plot of this 1985 Special is Katrina (Tammy Grimes) has grown dependent on a Witch Weed ,which she needs a machine and slave labor to produce ,and she seeks to enslave the ponies

So this might come as a surprise,cause I love 80's pop culture and I love animation.....Im not that into 80's cartoons.80's cartoon are in a weird spot for me because there so limited ,the writers clearly wanna tell good stories but what stories they can tell are limited by toysellers,and parent groups and ccensors .There are ones I like (He Man and the Masters of the Universe , Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and I got a soft spot for Transformers ) .I call 80's cartoons Toyetic cartoons,cause at the end of the day....Thats their job .They are trying to get little Susie and little Bobby to convince mom and dad to get them these characters they like .I will not judge these shows for being commercials ,no I would never do that cause the best toyetic properties make you forget that .Hell the reason we HAVE the toyetic boom of the 80's is Star WArs ,which happens to be one of the toys I collected a lot as a kid......Because I adored the story and characters ,and I wanted to show I liked the characters,that the character meant something to me.The best toyetic stuff be it Star Wars or X Men or He Man have something that pulls you in and makes you wanna celebrate these characters .I also think this is why My Little Pony Friendship is Magic was so sucessful ,all the characters where distinct and likeable and people responded to that....OK you might be wondering why I am rambling like this ...Well cause I wanna make clear my issue is not its a commercial......Its that its a BAD commercial at least to me .....Cause ICANT TELL WHOSE WHO .My biggest issue with this special was I legit couldnt tell which pony was who ,theres a lot of them ,alot sound a like and look alike so if I was little Susie ....Who do I get ??As a commercial as a failing but more seriously as a story thats a failing ....Which is a shame cause there are some cool elements.....And its all on the guest villains

Katrina and her lizard henchman(Im not looking it up)played by Paul Williams are legit interesting ,but kind of held back by the fact its a My Little Pony special .Katrina is basically addicted to this witch weed ,but she has to exploit people in order to get access to it and improve her powers .Throughout the thing Paul William lizard talks about how she used to be kind but the dependance on the machine and the jusice of the weed has turned her cold and cruel .I also really love the implication that her and the lizard are romatically connected .I love her design too ,this feline almost faded diva look (In fact her and the liazrd dynamic reallly reminds me of Norma and Max from Sunset Boulevard ).Tammy Grimes does a marvelous job ver intimidating and cruel but with a sadness and it kind of fun to hear Paul Williams do a more cartoony voice.Im also glad they get a happy ending even if the method they got there is a little suspicious .I honestly love these two characters and wish the whole special was just them and not the ponies

Despite how intelligent Peter is, the man is blind as a bat when it comes to picking up on subtle things.

He didn't notice how you'd stare and envy the popular group of girls at school.

He never noticed that you'd pull your hoodie tighter when in public.

He always assumed you just preferred to keep to yourself honestly.

That you were just nervous in general.

He thought you liked baggy clothes and sweat shirts and non form fitting attire in general.

He had absolutely no idea that you were so insecure of your body that you'd rather die in 100° heat than be seen in a t-shirt.

You two had been dating for about four months when you had asked him an alarming unprovoked question.

"Hey, Peter? Why did you chose me instead of Liz?"

It had seriously caught him off guard.

Like... no amount of preparation could've have prepared him honestly.

"What do you mean? Why would I chose Liz?"

"Well, she's really skinny and pretty and popular and everything- and I'm just.... me. I'm chubby and not popular and I'll never look like her"

The way you said 'me' nearly tore his heart in half honestly.

He realized right then and there that you were comparing yourself to Liz because you didn't like yourself.

How the fuck could you not like yourself???

Of course, Liz was all of those things, but that didn't matter to him.

"So? You're the most popular person in our friend group- you always get invited to parties. And you're pretty and gorgeous and beautiful and amazing and smart and nice and May loves you and so do I and-"

He had nearly choked on his spit when he realized what he had said.

He had admitted he loved you.

"You... you love me?"

"Of course I love you. You're you. You're perfect."

He wasn't totally sure how to prove to you that he literally thought you were the prettiest girl in the world despite your weight, so he had gone to May and asked for advice.

From then he made sure to compliment you every day and tell you that he loves you. (Not that he didn't do it already, but he definitely increased the numbers).

He held your hand and gave you hugs and did everything in his power to make you feel better.

He showed you off like never before and made sure that you knew how much he loved you so that eventually you'd learn to love yourself.

Thor Odinson

This man didn't even really know what an insecurity was if he was being totally honest.

He's Thor- quite literally the sexiest man in all the nine realms.

You two had met during one of his many visits to Earth.

You owned a local bakery that had a reputation for having the best treats around.

You had everything from donuts and cakes to crepes and macarons and so much more.

He was attempting to learn more about Earth and its culture, so Tony and Steve recommended he visit your shop.

You obviously noticed him when he walked in- how could you not? He's literally a God.

You didn't know that, though. You just thought he was some kind of body builder.

He immediately came to the counter, not even attempting to read the menu above your head.

"You there, are you the owner of this shop?"

You blushed at his bold accent and brash personality.

"Um... yes?"

"Good! I've been told you have the best pastries around and I'd like to order one of everything!"

From that day on, he came in quite literally once a week for more.

You had even created a new dessert and named it after him since he was around so much.

Eventually, he worked up the confidence (he was literally a nervous wreck going in there) to ask you out on a date.

You were genuinely shocked.

"Me? You wanna go out with me?"

Deadpan kind of tone like you couldn't believe this could ever happen

He tilted his head to the side like a puppy.

"Of course! You're wonderful!"

Obviously, you said yes.

How could you not? He's literally one of the nicest, open, lively people you've ever met.

He liked to take you sight seeing.

Not to the park, but to outer space.

He took you to Asgard and many other planets to see the many different places in the realms.

No one on any of these strange planets ever really batted an eye at you two.

But when you were on Earth, tho, people stared.

A lot.

It made you really self conscious honestly.

You had always been somewhat insecure if your body, but your passion for baking always trumped it.

But when you were out in public with him, it made you really zero in on all the things you didn't like about yourself.

Your mild insecurities had quickly turned into aggressive, intrusive ones and Thor was definitely starting to notice.

"What's wrong, princess?"

His favorite nick name for you.

You'd always shake your head when he asked you, because you knew he wouldn't understand.

But this time it had become too much and you basically word vomited your feelings out.

"I just don't understand why you're with me! There's plenty of beautiful, skinny people in this universe and you're stuck with chubby, ugly me!"

He stared at you, his jaw on the floor.

He laughed.

He didn't mean to, it had just slipped out.

"Y/N, I couldn't care less about what you look like. I care about you and your passion for your work and your sparkling personality. It's a bonus to me that you are the most beautiful girl I have ever met."

He really thought that?

Now that you thought about it, he had never once commented about your weight or eating habits.

You and Steven had known each other for a long time.

You had met during your residency at the hospital he worked at and trained under him until you graduated and became his colleague.

He liked you a lot; he not only thought you were really smart and and a good surgeon, but pretty too.

He liked your taste in music and your strategic way of doing things.

You loved your attitude about work and helping others. You would always brighten up the room.

Honestly, if it hadn't been for his accident, he probably would've had asked you out.

He quickly became obsessed with his hands and recovery after the crash, even when there was nothing to be done.

It was pretty poor timing, though, because you had put on a little weight right as he started to ghost you.

It was nothing serious, just like twenty pounds of post grad weight gain from celebration.

You had no idea that his poor reaction to seeing you was derived from his anger about his hands, you just thought he only liked you when you were skinny.

This was something you really took to heart and struggled with a lot.

While you were trying to cope with your new found dysmorphia, Steven had totally dropped off the grid and was no where to be found.

It was several months later when he finally turned up and came to seek you out for emergency medical treatment.

You pushed aside your poor self esteem and bad thoughts to help him and decided it was best to not waste your little bit of conversation on something dumb.

He was gone soon after he arrived.

This time, though, he was back within a few days to see you.

He apologized for his poor behavior prior to his leaving and explained everything that had happened.

"You know, Steven, I thought you were mad at me because I had gotten a but chubby."

He gave you a stupid look.

"What are you talking about?"

"After I graduated I put on some weight."

"You think I'm so shallow as to care about your weight?"

"W-what?"

"I like that big brain of yours. I don't give a shut what you look like- I mean, look at my hands!"

You were totally stunned.

All this time you had these intrusive thoughts about your image but you had fabricated the whole thing.

Steven asked you out a few weeks later with the promise to never bring up your weight.

He made a conscious effort to always compliment you, just in case you were ever feeling down.

He kept his promise to never make you feel insecure.

Steve Rodgers (Captain America)

If any of the Avengers understood feeling insecure, its Steve.

He wasn't always the big, strong, ass kicking hero that he is today; he used to be that scrawny little kid that couldn't get into the military.

When he found out that you of all people had self esteem issues, he was at a loss for words.

You two had been dating for about six months when the issue had come up.

Apparently word had gotten out on the internet about how Captain America had a 'fat girlfriend' and you hadn't taken it well.

Banner had given him a heads up knowing that Steve wasn't really internet savvy.

There were thousands of supportive comments, saying that appearance didn't matter and they you were beautiful, but you really didn't care.

The handful of shitty ones were all you could think about.

He had found you crying on the bathroom floor one morning.

He assumed it was a self image thing, given the circumstances, so he decided to just sit down next to you and what for you to calm down enough to talk.

"You know I love you, right?"

You were quiet for a moment.

"I know, Steve."

"You know everyone on the internet is just jealous?"

"Of what? Captain America's fat, ugly girlfriend?"

You gave out a sarcastic snort.

Tony Stark is not a very nice man.

He's very blunt and always gets straight to the point.

It's something you love about him, but also something you can't fucking stand.

Sometimes he was unsympathetic towards other people's problems, even yours, and wouldn't notice the damage it would cause until much later.

"You're seriously still crying about that, Y/N? Why do you care so much about what other people think?"

You had just walked away from him after that.

He never really understood why certain things bothered you.

He was a care free kind of guy like that.

He didn't care about bad publicity or hate comments and especially didn't care about what strangers had to say.

It wasn't until things had gotten really bad that he noticed he had royally fucked up.

He had heard you talking to a family member on the phone about everything that was going on.

After that he had asked FRIDAY to compile a list of everything you had stressed about.

When he looked into it, he realized that a lot of it was really personal.

There were thousands of comments about how you were over weight and didn't deserve someone like Tony Stark. People called you a gold digger who only wanted fame and nothing more. Someone had even started a hate reddit about you.

He immediately contacted his head of media to take all of it down and report the accounts involved.

He sighed and dragged his hands down his face.

He should've listened to you when you had come to him.

He went upstairs to your shared bedroom and sat with you on the bed.

"I'm sorry... for dismissing your feelings."

You blinked at him

Tony? Apologizing? Never would've seen that coming.

You looked at him.

"It's okay, Tony."

Diluc

• Already has the whole year planned in his head. Literally if Diluc were to play this game, he'd have a booming farm within year ONE. Calm and collected through and through, though the new environment raises alot of questions, as long as you were still with him, Diluc ain't complaining

• The town welcomes you two with open arms. It was all thanks to the attire. Diluc wore his usual dark coat adorned with regal gold while you had a dress made of Liyue's finest silk, one that he bought for you. Needless to stay both of you reeked the aura of rich aristocrats (Mayor Lewis is pleased that greedy bastard)

• Once the farm was permitted to your owndership, Diluc began to think of ways to turn it into a vineyard. He was a businessman afterall. Although the staff back at the Dawn Winery were the ones who tended the field, Diluc still knew a few things about planting due to his childhood days Master Crepus would bring him out to their yard and demonstrated the process of gardening. He still remembers those days clearly, doing the very same this moment with you.

• Occasionally works at the Saloon bar. It was the perfect opportunity. As you took care of the farm side, Diluc continues to look for more ways to increase the income while gathering information from the folks around town. Gus LOVES to have him over, like he's just so efficient and reliable! They soon become good friends saying if Diluc were ever to own a wine stock, he would gladly buy from him.

• This is why Diluc would stay a little later due to just chatting with the people from the bar. One time you walked into the Saloon only to the front desk with Emily alone. Turns out the others were in the other room, too busy playing a game of pool. You decided to leave him be since it was rare to have Diluc so relaxed in leisure activities. Thus in the end, you spent your time chatting with Emily until a whole hour has passed before your lover notices and apologizes for losing track of time.

• Everything felt like a dream because it was his dream. To live a life undisturbed from chaos, his duties and the dangers that lurk in Teyvat, Diluc grew fond of the domesticity. There was nothing he loved more than to spend his hours by your side, day after day, returning home to your freshly handmade meals.

• Spring: Already up and early planting the parnersnips (I'm very soft for gardener Diluc you see). What do you expect from a workaholic? Even during his leisure time you would often find him near some plant as he does consider this hobby quite therapeutic. But when it rains, Diluc would be standing beside you with an arm around your shoulder, smiling contently as you lean into his touch. He gazes through the dripping window and silently admires the current progress you both made on the farm.

• Between the two annual spring festivities, I would say the flower dance. Diluc is a private man and would prefer to take things where no eyes were on sight. But with a little bit of nudging from Gus (your wingman), he gives in and leads you to the center stage. Elegant. Graceful. The way you two moved together became the talk of the event. Though, Diluc was already used to people staring by now, all he needed to do was to ignore them and keep his focus on you.

• Summer: No blankets in bed. Nope, its bloody hot in Pelican Town. He tends to stay indoors or anywhere with shade, in other words, his work hours in the Saloon increased.

• Diluc always has a nice cold drink prepared for you if by any chance you were to pay a visit after a whole day of labour. It's a habit he's made subconciously as if it would be a natural occurance for you to enter the door. His colleagues would ask him who did he make that drink for? Honestly so cute i cri

• Moments like these remind him of Mondstadt, where he quietly wipes the glasses while listening to you talk. Your voice is soothing. Sun rays peek from the side casting onto the umber tables, reflecting a rich golden light as the radio plays a soft song in the background. It's so peaceful, the town was small hence not many people visited the bar, Diluc came to appreciate this warm privacy (plus no Venti and Kaeya which is a huge pog realization).

• Autumn: Harvest time baby. The kegs are full and the sheds are full of kegs. This season was huge stonks and the house ended up getting an upgrade. Diluc is the type of man who wants to make sure that his spouse wouldn't have to work another day of her life. I reckon this is why he's so ambitious because he wants you to have the best and you deserve the best. (Husband material. Slap a ring on him ladies).

When there was no more work left to do, time would be spend peacefully exploring the woods. While you skipped a few steps ahead as the leaves crunched beneath your feets, Diluc follows slowly from behind. He sees your back but his eyes stares somewhere far beyond whats in front of him: His future. 

It was such a stark contrast to the one he envisioned before. One filled with uncertaintly, blocked by darkness with no silver lining in sight, endlessly wandering as he drags the claymore against the ground. There was never a day in which the Darknight hero wouldn't think of Mondstadt. Leaving the city in the incompetent hands of Ordo Favonious while Abyss Mages continue to lurk fuels him to find a way to return as soon as possible and yet...

"Higher big sis!" Jas tightens her hold on the ropes as you pushed the swing with all your might. She laughs, like a child, it was full of innocence and joy. Later Vincent came in and nugdes you, asking when his turn will come.

"You wanna go too? Alright alright don't worry," waiting for Jas to come down, you lift the boy up so that he was seated safely on the chair, "3..2..1 go!"

He wonders if he could just be a little selfish for once.

• Winter: Best man to have in this season. Every morning Diluc would find himself restricted in movements due to a pair of arms around his waist and legs entangled with yours. Turns out you've been doing it subconciously because he's just so warm (Diluc keeps it lowkey and pretends to sleep longer cuz of it)

Kaeya

• Haha looks like the portal is gone, guess we'll be stuck forever :)). No kidding Kaeya would be so down to stay here for the rest of his life and the best part is to spend it with you. He doesn't show a shred of concern regarding Teyvat, not like he's easily shaken by events that are abnormal, but you can see that Kaeya is truly and genuinely happy. (You're stunned).

• Oho we also have this marvelous landscape just for the two of us? And a cozy little cabin to go along with it as well? This should be fun~ 

• Of course Kaeya would also know a few things about planting, just the basics since he did grow up with Diluc. When they were kids, Crepus would give each of them their own pots so they can grow their own plants. It eventually became a competitive thing where whoever's plant grows the fastest gets to eat the other person's dessert for a year (no one wins. They end up sabotaging each other which Diluc started first, thinking it'll be funny as a joke).

• You are, and will be going on dates with him. In fact, the amount of dates you two went on increased since then. The townspeople would call you two "lovebirds" since he's practically by your side 24/7.

• Would attend all annual events no matter what season. 

• Evelyn constantly gushes how much of a wonderful pair you and Kaeya make and often is the one who provides Kaeya a fresh bouqet of flowers for him to use as a gift. George on the otherhand just rolled his eyes mumbling something along the lines of "youngsters these days" and "crazy hormones."

• Befriends Pam. Love for beer plus somewhat cynical attitude? They get along real swell! She starts sending some recipes into the mailbox of course saying if yall ever need a hand, let her know.

• Spring: I can see Kaeya be switching back and forth between caring for the farm or taking quests posted on Pierre's bulletin board. He likes to keep things interesting, learning the ways of the new world while also getting to know the people around town.

• Would NOT return Mayor Lewis' shorts in which he found in Marnie's room. It's such high quality blackmail material. Kaeya is currently plotting what is the best way to use it to his advantage.

• He didn't tell you of course.

• Summer: There are no blankets because he is your blanket. Since your cabin was small so was the bed. That's why he has to hold you so that no one falls off when rolling over. Either he hugs you with your nose close to his neck, or your back against his chest while spooning you or holding hands if sleeping on your sides became too much. Yall need a serious house upgrade.

• For some reason Kaeya becomes more energetic in the summer. He lets you rest in the shade while handling the farm work for the time being. If you guys got a pet it would be a cat. Hes the first one to refill their bowl every morning outside.

Another day passes as summer comes to an end, the town’s Mayor invited you and your lover to see the annual Dance Of the Moonlight Jellies. Kaeya being the opportunist was delighted to come along. Locking the door of your house, you follow him down the path and made your way to the beach.

Everyone from town was already gathered by the docks when the sun had disappeared down the horizon. You stood by his side in a space far from the others, watching  the candle boats set off to ride the waves, lighting up a small ray of light for creatures to find. 

“Wow,” your tone almost above a whisper, “If only our friends back home could see this too.”

“Perhaps,” he says. Kaeya slips his fingers into yours and you shot him a curious glance, “But let us enjoy this moment shall we? Just the two of us.”

And there they were. A sea of luminescence radiating colours of brilliant blue with hints of green like a city of laterns floating in a world below. Their image reflects in the star of Kaeya's eyes as he wonders, where would they go? Where would the light lead them? They were so free with nothing to worry, so serene just like the sea and unknowningly, he squeezes your hand. It was a sense for confirmation. One to remind him that this moment was indeed a reality he wishes to keep.

Autumn: Finally a house upgrade and a kitchen!! Because it was harvest season, you guys end up making a set of delicious meals with all the recipes the townspeople gave you. Kaeya can cook since he lived by himself back in Mondstadt. Most of the stuff he learned to make were food that can be accompanied by alcohol though...

• Ahah remember Mayor Lewis' lucky shorts? He found a use for them. It was displayed on the stands during the Stardew Valley Fair (Oh my how did this get here? Must be the wind). Ends up buying a Rarecrow for the farm when Lewis bribes him not to tell this to anyone.

Winter: This was mostly an indoor season for the both of you. With the existence of television, nights would be spent until morning while watching movies at the couch. A blanket drapes around your shoulders as extends to his.  Oh and don't forget the hot chocolate!

V/Johnny is probably one of my main ships right now. Same with Johnny/Kerry but one that I love and don't talk about much is Cletus Kasady/Carnage Symbiote.

B - A pairing–platonic, romantic or sexual–that you initially didn’t consider, but someone changed your mind.

V and Takamura, at first, I just did not get it at all and while its not a main ship for me, I see why ya'll ship them.

E - Have you added anything cracky/hilarious to your fandom? If so, what?

Oh god. Okay so ummm...I wrote a crack fic that ships Thanos from the MCU with Knull the God of Symbiotes. Its fucking great, its terrible, I want to burn it, I should frame it, you can read it here

K - What character has your favorite development arc/the best development arc?

I got two here. First being Johnny Silverhand. We get glimpses of his past self being a total fucking asshole and we know from others that he wasn't always a good person but we get to watch this slow change with V's help as he grows into a person that you could sit in the same room with. At the end even willing to give his life for V's which I feel like is something that past Johnny would not have done at all. My second one would be Eddie Brock. He went from being one of Mavel's top villains with a grudge to kill Spider-Man to somewhat healing his wounds and ends up, no joke, not kidding, being a fucking God who wants to save the world from Knull. Its really stunning to see.

L- Say something genuinely nice about a character who isn’t one of your fave

I'm very middle of the road with River Ward. His personality is a little, I don't know, I can't really find the word. But his quest? One of the most interesting in gaming and I said it once and I'll say it again, DO NOT run his quest at the farm if you are not sober, you won't have a good time. Also Mickey Jones from Doctor Who didn't deserve to be led on so much by Rose. He might have been a bit annoying, but The Doctor and Rose didn't treat him like they should have

N - Name three things you wish you saw more or in your main fandom (or a fandom of choice)

Really the only thing I wish that was a different is I feel like fic writers don't get the credit we deserve. I understand why visual art gets the attention it does and it should! Drawing of any type if hard as fuck! I don't see this as much in the Cyberpunk fandom because everyone is really happy to get any type of content but I saw this in the Marvel fandom where most often drawings would get praised way more than fics. Honestly on that topic, the Cyberpunk fandom is one of the chilliest fandoms I've ever been in. If I had to pick a second one I'd say I wish people would post more about their OCs!(I say this while pointing at a mirror) I love love seeing ya'lls lil guys! I always wanna see more!(Again, still pointing at the mirror)

P - Invent a random AU for any fandom

AU in which Johnny is a devil hunter in Devil May Cry. He's got the vibe for it, the gun, and the guitar. In fact he's modded his guitar in such a way that he can use it as a weapon (think Nevan from Devil May Cry). I could see Samurai being both a rock band and a band of devil hunters as well. Not sure where V could fit in. Maybe they got, I dunno, bit by a demon and know they got fucked up powers?

R - Which friendship/platonic relationship is your favorite in fandom?

We really don't get to see enough of V and Misty and that's a damn shame. I would have loved maybe a little side quest thing with the two of them, more so than just Jackie's funeral. I also love Jackie's and V's friendship. I know some people ship them but I just see them as friends. Its really driven home that you can't trust anyone in Night City and here's Jackie willing to take V under his wing after they lost everything. A real choom, good guy, truly.

V - Which character do you relate to most?

In Cyberpunk 2077? Despite her not being one of faves, Judy. Much like her I also a friend to suicide. It was that quest that prevented me from playing the game for two years because I didn't know how I would handle it. Only to find that when I played, and V comforts Judy, It felt like comforting myself. I understood her feelings of loss and guilt. Its a type of feeling you only get when someone close to you takes their own life and its hard to put into words. Recently my grandparents sold my childhood home, my forest and my safeplace. Seeing Judy explore the flooded remains of her childhood home made me cry after this. I understand now. The longing for a place you'll never go back to and even if you do, it won't be the same. The feeling of watching memories play out before your eyes. Its not something you really get over and it changes you.

ATEEZ as things and feelings

as i wrote this, i realised the members of ateez have really cultivated a specific image for themselves (eg. hongjoong as a fashionista, hwa as the mom, yunho has a big bear etc) and so i really hope that these are at least some part of their real identities and it’s not just kq forcing it down their throats ;(

HONGJOONG - BOUTIQUES AND EXPENSIVE CAFES 

there’s just something very sophisticated about joong, though he’s absolutely refined and clean-cut (despite that whole jack sparrow get up in their rhythm ta stage)

because he loves fashion and dressing himself up, he can’t tolerate how much you don’t care about the clothes you’re wearing! he knows EXACTLY what would make you look even better and what would totally boost your confidence and so he wouldn’t hesitate to drag you out to a boutique, whether it’s for thrifting or it’s one of those expensive ones like Dior

it’s been about a year since i started stanning ateez and my first impression of hwa is that he’s actually very timid and shy and awkward when it comes to firsts

on stage is a completely different story

so i’d assume he’s probably the same in private, ie he’s aggressive and dedicated when it comes to things he loves to do, but probably a little more timid and worrisome when it comes to people/things he’s not familiar with, but that doesn’t stop him from trying out new things and setting off on an adventure!

you’d be the one to surprise him with an impromptu trip, thinking that he’d be happy to escape but no he worries about clothes, packing, the weather, the itinerary-

it takes you a good amount of energy and convincing to tell him to calm down and that you’ve got every thing down, so he can just busk in the joy of being with you in a completely foreign land

he would also be the kind to try grocery shopping overseas then figure out how to make do with the ingredients

he’s home even when you’re not back in your house

he’s known for his stellar concentration, so it’s no surprise when he’s able to figure out that new tech thing he got and figure it out within the first 10 minutes, thereafter, you take the chance to get him to talk about anything and everything you want him to

he takes awhile to warm up to people, sometimes very mechanical like the things he likes to play with, but when he does, his care is silent

he buys the Bluetooth keyboard you need cause your laptop keyboard is wonky

he buys the cute marvel themed mouse pad cause your current one is peeling

then when you got him that xbox, his competitiveness hopped out like doomsday and he’d trash you on a good day with a lack thereof of mercy when it comes to verbally trashing you

but on some shitty days when he can read your tiredness and frustration, he lets you win

SAN - ABANDONED PLACES AND LIGHTHOUSES

scary on first sight/impression, yet nothing but a place full of memories that was once full of life - that’s san for you

i think he’s very intimidating on stage, which is exactly how many abandoned places are marketed on the media - haunted, ghosts, murderers, weird plants and insects etc, but what about the history of those places before they went to shit?

there’s so much more to it than what you see

adventure, wander and thrill-seeking overwhelms you when he’s around. there’s absolutely nothing to be afraid of. 

lighthouses - where you find your way, and that you’ll never get lost

people tend to lose sight of what they love and want in life and san would probably be able to inspire you to get back on track, by the sheer force of his own passion and vision for himself

MINGI - MISMATCHED OUTINGS AND PLAYFUL TACKLING

ok when i say mismatched outings i mean it in the way that he’d dress up and ask you to dress up BUT you’d find yourself at a cheaper/more coffee-shop like eatery instead of a restaurant

he has fun admiring how pretty you are on the way there, but when he pulls you up to a coffee shop you’re like what? then why did i dress up so nicely for?

mingi knows that you depend on your appearance alot for confidence, so he really wants to see that pride when you’re out with him

lazy pajamas and messy hair are reserved for sleepovers and for days when you don’t really feel like doing much - and of course he’ll be there to comfort you when you need it

i think he’ll find absolute joy in pulling you close and wrapping his longass coat around you on the colder autumn/winter days, and then he’ll ruffle through your hair and you cant run because of his coat and arm wrapped around you

will definitely get judged by passerbys 

but like the mismatched outfits x location, he really doesn’t care. it’s the company he cares about. it’s the condition of his company he cares about. it’s the food he cares about. not the reputation, not the pure material of someone’s clothes

seonghwa would be your next victim but hwa would stay on the line just so he wouldn’t have to worry about coming back to a burnt down kitchen - not because he thinks wooyoung can’t cook, but because wooyoung gets absolutely distracted with you around and would want to impress you with his culinary skills, which more often than not, backfires

pranks aside, all wooyoung wants to do is to make you laugh or smile and make the time spent with him the most fun and worthwhile

even if it meant getting into trouble with his members, he decides it’s worth the risk if it means he gets to see you happy and full from eating the food he prepares

like his experimental dishes, every joke and bs pun he says is new and never fails to amuse you - even if you don’t actually laugh

you see a new side to him with every passing day and he can be sensitive if he wants to, or completely clown himself if he wanted to as well

JONGHO - APPLE PICKING AND PLAYFUL ARM WRESTLING

the one time you let him snap your apple into half cause your teeth hurt and now he snaps all your apples in half and it’s becoming more of a joke over anything else

finally decided to go to an apple orchard for the lols and amuse the people there with his apple breaking skills

you’re extra amused everytime he manages to do it (because how?????) and he adores seeing that on you - you’re honestly not easy to entertain so he’s a simp for when he’s the reason why you are

it came to a point where you got curious how strong he was because he hasn’t revealed one bit of skin ever since you’ve met him

it started out as you actually challenging him, but when you lost with two hands against his one hand, he started teaching you techniques on how to win instead

of course, he’s never let you beat him because he knows it’ll hurt your pride if he does

very, very quiet and subtle care - makes apple juice from the leftover apples he has at home and brings it to school for you

sometimes asks wooyoung to make dried apple chips for you but tells you he bought it cause he doesn’t want you to know he troubled someone

Okay I know I’ve talked alot about how I dislike where they are taking Sharon as a character. But I also want to talk about earned twists, which can be satisfying even if they are predictable.  

Let’s take Agatha Harkness as our example of an earned and satisfying plot-twist/reveal even if it was predicable. Agatha’s arc was well received even if the majority of the audience had been speculating that ‘Agnes’ was in fact Agatha Harkness from before the show even aired.

The reveal, and her character arc felt earned and satisfied the majority of viewers. This was in my opinion because Agatha’s twist wasn’t just about shock value, it severed as an integral part of the plot.

Agatha also got flashbacks, development and screen time, none of which took away from Wanda or Vision, or even Monica. All this meant that when Agatha was revealed as having been behind most of what was going wrong ‘all along’ it felt earned, and satisfying even if you guessed she was Agatha Harkness from the get go.

This is my biggest issue with Sharon being revealed as the Power Broker, it didn’t feel earned or satisfying- maybe the writers were right and it was a natural progression for the character too bad they didn’t show or tell us this.

If a writer has to come out after a show has aired and defend a decision like this, it’s usually because it wasn’t well executed.

Let’s face it people clocked she was the Power Broker from the moment she first appeared in the episode entitled literally Power Broker. I mean really?

But like I said above, we knew Agnes was going to be Agatha Harkness. The problem wasn’t that it was predicable. It was that the writers didn’t earn this plot twist.

We didn’t get development, we didn’t get the scenes, and we didn’t get flashbacks. I mean honestly what more do we know about Sharon now, then we did in the previous movies? She’s been in Madripoor and she’s disillusioned with the government…. That’s it.

This is the issue with doing a twist like this with a one-dimensional character, but not bothering to actually develop that character in order to make the twist feel satisfying for the viewer.

Marvel tends to have a tell, don’t show attitude. But in this case it’s a don’t show, or tell…. Say it afterwards in interviews.

If we had gotten one flashback scene of Sharon, either becoming the Power Broker, her alone on the run after Civil War, her coming back after being snapped, or her not being snapped and why she didn’t reach out to Steve.

Or hell, even an emotional scene with Sam alone where we got to learn more about her character, and her motivations. Literally that was all that was needed.

Developing Sharon would not have taken away from Sam and Bucky, there was time. My issue was the show attempted to do too much, and as a result this is what happened. Unpopular opinion, but they should have scaled by Zemo (I loved him and Daniel) but Sharon should have been given more importance if they were going to do this plot twist, go down this road.

Although this stems from the treatment of female characters in the MCU and how they tend to take a back seat even to the literally Nazi character.

So yes, this twist wasn’t satisfying or earned, it was just thrown in there. Tbh it didn’t matter that much or even at all to the over arching plot, it felt like something thrown in at the last second for shock value and that’s why it doesn’t land. Seriously, take out the Power Broker, and tell me the show would suffer, because it wouldn’t.

In conclusion, the twist doesn’t work, not because it’s predicable it’s because it wasn’t earned by the writers, they wanted it for shock value but didn’t want to put in the work. Kinda the story of how Sharon has been written from the start if I’m being honest.

I just got done watching a video that pointed out how a couple in a book series I read is bad for each other. Thus, after that trip and long conversations with my fellow fanders IRL I’m going to be picking apart couples in this web series and why some would work and others wouldn’t. 

This will be Part 1

Now keep in mind this is just my personal opinions from what I’ve read and what I’ve seen. Some of it is delving into Fandom area but others will be what we see in Cannon as well.  Sometimes couples I like will be ones I pick on because objectively they just aren’t good for each other. 

With that in mind let’s get started with the most well known couples.

Prinxiety (Roman/Virgil) - Everyone's favorite couple to either put through so much angst that I think these people either are really moody or have went through alot of shit. Like seriously, the amount of angst you find just is astonishing... And sometimes very unrealistic, but I digress.  But, though I like this couple in some instances, I find their relationship to be toxic and unreliable. 

Take into account their personalities in the series. Roman often shows his love by belittling or insulting a person. A thing we as fanders know to be because of his own insecurities. Now in comparison to self loathing and hating Virgil, who just takes it and even contributes to it. Regardless of if it’s just Virgil’s sense of humor, that still doesn’t make it right. How many friends do you know that insult you or don’t help you see the good in you. I can’t think of many instances where Roman, like Patton, would pick up Virgil after he tries to self-hate. Patton actively, though in a babying way, at least tries to tell Virgil he’s wrong about his hate. Which as we see takes our anxiety friend by surprise. 

Also there is the fact that Roman, as we saw in SvS Redux, really needs someone to be there for him. Virgil however also needs this. And this implies that if they were to be together it’s just be a struggle to get anywhere.  Not to say it couldn’t work, but it’d take alot of time. Roman would need to be more confident in himself and not take it out on others. And Virgil would be to be confident also and stop taking harsh words and such lying down. ‘

Though it is clear from the newest asides they do care about each other. 

All around a couple that has some issues that would make a romantic relationship hard. Platonic sure, I can see it because it works, but not romantic as neither I feel would suit the others needs. 

Logicality (Logan/Patton) - I do actually love this pairing, it’s cute and fluffy at times when the fandom puts them together. Not alot of angst I’ve found despite being popular couple number 2. However, with how the cannon portrays them to each other, they won’t work as a romantic couple in real life. 

To explain, Patton is very controlling, we see this through out the series. We know he doesn’t mean to be sometimes, but clearly being the side Thomas listens to the most, means he clearly has alot of power in the mindscape. Logan, by contrast, is very cold at times and very distant when it comes to his feelings or expressing them. Something he needs to work on. 

Several times we see Patton trying to force Logan to do things he doesn’t want to. The episode I feel this is highlighted in the most is Learning New Things About Ourselves. Logan isn’t one to just open up about things like how Patton, Roman, even Virgil are. Being these sides deal the most in feelings of many times.  Logan himself is a logical side, he things critically and prefers facts to solve problems. Patton however is very open and very feeling. And tries through out the episode to get Logan to express. Logan clearly is reluctant to do so, because it’s not his area and it’s not his thing. 

With people like this you can’t force them to open up, you can’t force them to express to you. It’ll just end terribly when you do and can even push them farther away. Which is what I think if happening with Logan.  Throughout this episode Logan expresses faintly that he doesn’t want to be see as a ‘Joke’ to them, because after all he’s logic. But the other keep disregarding him. Something it feels they are even guilt tripping him into it. Though we do see that Thomas tells them not to force Logan. 

To sum it up, Patton and Logan as a couple would be a rocky one at best because Logan can’t emote well and Patton can’t back off well. Both need to learn this because they could be a couple. 

Dukceit (Remus/Janus) - We don’t know alot about their relationship to really go into how they function. But if what Thomas said about the fandom being pretty spot on about their time together, then we can assume that as a couple they are pretty stable at times compared to most.  Janus clearly cares about Remus enough to listen to him and take in what he has to say where others won’t. And Remus, by extension, shows his appreciation by ‘gifting’ Janus with things. Possibly Remus seems to just love the attention and loves that someone doesn’t find him gross or immature. 

Janus clearly, if we are to go by fandom and Thomas’s words, wants Remus happy and they do seem to share a connection and lots of laughs.  I don’t ship these guys though, but if we are to go off of these things they would work rather well as a couple. Unless we find out more, this seems to be the outcome. 

Royality (Roman/Patton) - Now I’m not here to argue about how characters in a relationship would treat others around them. Just how they were treat each other. While I am of the opinion this couple would be a bit of a powerhouse to others they do work well together in some sense. Both are peppy and upbeat, Roman easily picks up Patton when he’s in a funk and vice versa. The amount of serotonin between these two dorks is something to marvel at. 

Granted in the new episode we see that there is some tension with Patton having really forced his own morals on Roman and this leads to tension when accepting new sides. But, as a couple they would work. I can’t see points that they lead each other one nor points were one tries to control the other, and in terms of words it’s mostly of encouragement. Patton clearly does care about Roman and Roman to Patton. This pairing really works well, has some rocky moments that can easily work through as no couple truly is 100% perfect, as I pointed out with the others. 

But out of all of the ones mentioned this one has the least amount of rough patches. They work together and don’t actively put the other down or force them 24/7. This does happen, but not often.  And I don’t pair them often, just from time to time. 

Analogical (Logan/Virgil) - These two are actually really adorable together and through out the series I can confidently say they would be great for each other. And this isn’t just me saying it, from all the evidence we see Logan and Virgil together just works. 

Logan has a calm disposition and is firm when he has to be, never once have I really seen them lash out at each other with harsh words. Only instance that comes to mind is when Virgil calls Logan a ‘Clueless idiot’. But that’s about it, any other time, even during the debate, afterwards they aren’t at each others throats and both seem to be rather comfortable around each other. Logan could easily be the rock Virgil needs to stand on his own but in his own time.

Virgil however is a good push for Logan, as he himself knows the value of taking your time. I can’t seem Virgil in the cannon ever forcing Logan, even in LNTAO Virgil was the only side that didn’t belittle Logan that much. Virgil was even reluctant, even if he was pressured into it in the end, and I can only think of once in which he did say something harsh to Logan... which was after Logan lashed out at Roman. (With semi good reason). Virgil easily could be that silent partner that Logan needs to feel something but within his own time. 

Granted it’d be a long courtship and time for them to learn each others cues as Logan is hard to give out love. But once he does open up he’s a mess that needs to be loved back. Same goes for Virgil, but where they work and Prinxiety doesn’t is that they are both used to giving gestures and reading the air. Where we have established Roman isn’t really good at.  Virgil could pick up easily when Logan is having problems and when to approached. And Logan is good at understanding when people need space and isn’t afraid to just talk about it rather than let things linger. 

They’d still have their problems, what couple doesn’t. But it wouldn’t be near as bad as some of the others. 

Moxiety (Patton/Virgil) - Where to start with this... I mean, it’s not a bad pairing but it’s also not a great pairing. Not for reasons some think. Honestly I could care less about the argument of ‘Son/Father’ shit that is peddled. It’s been established that Patton thinks of all the sides as ‘Kiddos’ even Thomas, even if none of it is true and Virgil and Patton are technically the same fucking age as Thomas is. Patton just is the group ‘dad’ and truly believes this. 

I digress, as for how they work as a couple it could be good or bad. This is one that it really does depend on how you look at the series as a while. Me, I’m on the fence.  On the one hand Patton is a good self esteem booster for Virgil when the other needs it. And Virgil is calm and understanding of how much feelings can be.  On the other hand Patton can be very forceful with Virgil and sometimes even baby him as we saw in the halloween episode. And Virgil does resent this, stating he is strong enough and doesn’t need to be coddled. 

Clearly there is a imbalance of power there also as Patton is possibly and ‘older’ side as in he’s been around with Thomas much longer. Thus is why he’s the one most listened to. While Virgil doesn’t have as much power as the other sides in terms of the amount he’s listened to.  It’s getting better though, Patton is trying to baby him less and let him really be heard. He’s listening to Virgil rather than assuming things. It’s slow, but it’s working.

In the end, it’s really on how you see it. This could either be a really good couple or really bad couple depending on how one writes them. Cannonly, it could work with time, but we’ll have to see as the series goes. 

Logince (Roman/Logan) - Not sure where to start with this one. Maybe at the fact Roman picks on Logan just as much as he does Patton. Or maybe with how Logan doesn’t take it laying down, most of the time, and does have a sharp tongue to lash back. 

These two are at tensions with each other, even after Why We Get Out Of Bed In The Mornings. Heck that was a whole episode about the tensions! And there is still tension as we go. Roman really needs to get a handle on his self esteem issues before pursuing any relationship I feel. Something I think is going to come up as Thomas enters one.

Logan has been seen lashing out verbally and once even psychically at Roman. He felt bad afterwards, but we can’t say it wasn’t justified with how Roman treated him. Having problems with feeling like he’s not listened to, interrupted, and something even insulted.  And again Roman’s problems with insulting others to boost his confidence comes back into play. Why it doesn’t affect him with Patton is because with the moral side Roman feels wanted and needed, with the others he lashes out because they make him feel that way. 

Logan even did insult some of Roman’s passions, which we know to be a sore spot for the creative side. Roman already has many problems as he’s limited by what is morally right and wrong. He puts time and effort into his things, and it hurts when someone comes along and insults you’re hard work.

Now whether they meant to do this too each other or not is up or debate. You could argue that Roman’s problem is internal and not directed at anyone. You could argue the same for Logan, or argue that the others need to learn that what they are doing is harsh even if they don’t mean it.  Regardless this couple would really need to work on these problems before ever getting together. It’s not something small like communication or feeling problems and can be fixed with the right person. This is them both putting the other know, internationally or not. And that’s not a healthy relationship at all. 

I’d say after they work through that Roman could be with just about any side. And some goes for Logan with Patton or Roman. With Virgil it’s not a huge problem as Logan never once has taken out his frustration on him, might be due to Virgil’s calmer nature, who knows. 

So yeah, that’s the end of part one. I’m not saying none of this would work, I’m saying with how they are NOW they wouldn’t work. We’ll have to see have the series progress how it goes.

Ok, so over the past summer I had started reading Hellblazer but I think I started with the non DC universe version, since I think I read that there are two versions? IDK if true, I've never read a DC book in my life. But what one are you doing? And is like, good? So far I've enjoyed what I've read.

Ok so like to explain John Constantine and Hellblazer for you and anyone who happens along this post:

When John first got an ongoing title after his appearance in Swamp Thing #37 it was in Vertigo, which is a company under the DC Comics umbrella, DC used it to print Darker more Adult themed comics that didn't match the vibe or restrictions of their superhero comics basically, his comic was called Hellblazer and ran for a very long time from 1988-2013, 300 issues at its conclusion. During this run you get alot of dark themed stuff, social commentary, how the real monsters are people, etc. John actually grew old in this comic series as he aged like a normal human basically.

In 2013 DC relaunched John under their main universe and his title Hellblazer was just Constantine now, oh and iirc he suddenly didn't age bc of magic or he did a deal with a demon or something idk because I honestly haven't retained info from those comics as I barely touched on them. Vertigo was shut down in 2020 (I think? It may have been earlier but covid time scrambles my brain) and everything is now called DC's Black Label.

I have some issues with the relaunch which is why I've been putting off reading them all through, I feel like they were slowly declawing John to make him more palatable for mainstream audiences and it worked, now we see John at the forefront of any magical business in DC animation etc.

I don't know exactly when I got into his character but sometime between watching the Keanu Movie and the new show that was coming out I started reading him. (I'm still bitter Constantine was canceled) and so I just pick him up from time to time to read through his comics.

The ones I've been posting about are from the older Hellblazer series not the newer Constantine series but I've been meaning to get back into non Marvel comics for a long time now, so I'm just skimming through past stuff as a refresher.

I personally would say it's good, but it is dark, there's gore and adult themes and not everything works out good in the end but it is interesting. It's not a comic series for everyone and I haven't read every single issue yet but I have read some trades, and comics here and there.

I've always loved dark urban fantasy/horror so it's why I read them.

Mostly this is a rant about my sister and her dumbass side switching when it comes to problems such as these.

Changed to endgame after the boring ass superbowl and my 2 old.s called wanda a terrorist. I instantly looked at my 1old.s because she loves the hell out of mcu (no she doesn't really read comics). She's confused on why everyone in the family but her has a problem with wanda(My dad just like dc so he'llcall everyone in the marvel universe trash while some how bringing up superman except for xmen he strongly believe xmen would whoop the avengers ass which is facts so I can't fault him there).

My 2 just thinks she's a terrorist she only really watched aou and infintywar to endgame (she's out of state and country alot for seasonal maid jobs and she really only watches marvel with my 1st sis if she's here doing a release and my sister is anal about us all streaming marvel. I didn't watch spiderman far from home and she got on my shit that I didn't want to watch it.

My twin doesn't like her mcu arc but enjoys the hell outta wandavision -she loves it- because she's getting a version of wanda that makes more sense then her whole entire movie lineup. Her description not mine I still refuse to watch it since I know I'll be bitching the entire time. Even tho I trust her judgment on everything I know I'll end up on this blog and watching it would just lead me to complaining about it and I don't want to waste time doing that.

Moral of the story is after I explained why no one really likes wanda -because she didn't get what everyone's problem was- and how they white-washed her history my 1os is gonna be like well that's not this universe this is mcu they don't have to stay true and it doesn't matter. And honestly I wanted to strip the blackness from her body at that moment. Especially because when we're talking about black problems she's always their agreeing with how fucked up it is when people are whitewashed or people do black face etc and she really tryin to sit here and pass off Wanda's extreme level whitewashing. I could give a fuck about other heros that are change in skin tone because they are usually never linked or changed in religion or culture in their adoptions of sister universes. Nick fury, Peter parker etc.

day 1- idk the exact tbh. dont have a weigh scale at my house bc everyone else is naturally skinny but me, im gonna try and buy one soon tho.

day 2- around 5'4 ehhh im not terribly mad about it but i definitely would prefer to be taller.

day 4- tbhhh i have quite a few fears:

-i wont look how i wanna look at my ugw

-stretch marks wont fade enough & will still be just as bad when im skinny

-saggy skin :/ im loosing around 60 lbs so i think that might happen idk tho

-people wont even realize i lost weight??? idk i feel like ppl arent even gonna realize for some reason bc i only wear all baggy clothes anyways idk makes no sense cos u can still tell but whtever

-ppl will still view me as the fat sister.... uh idk i just always have been it and i feel like ill still be viewed as it even when im skinny

-ill gain it all back ¿¿ kinda cliche but it already happened to me and i dont wanna let it happen it time.

day 5- yeah im doing it for myself mostly but theres alotta reasons like the main one being i used to be skinny and was so much happier and more comfortable then... but theres alotta smaller reasons like maybe get more (good) attention, get praise from ppl, can wear better clothes, idk not feel so insecure

day 6- yeahhhhhhhhh uhhh i think mostly it happens when i get mad and then i cant help myself :| i gotta work on that but ive been pretty good with it for the past 2 months actually i have binged a fee times but each time i worked out enough to kinda even it out i feel like (if tht even makes sense)

day 7- yeah but they think im doing it healthily because i lie abt my cals

day 8-mostly running on a treadmill

day 9- uhmmm no not rlly besides my parents... actually yeah maybe some of my exes friends :|

day 10- time tbh... the amount of time i spend working out is insane im so behind on all my fkn school work

day 11- idk i dont rlly keep track of blogs i kinda use pinterest for thinspo mostly

day 12-alot of string beans, strawberries & tht 45 calorie toast

day 13- its been pretty healthy because i wanted to avoid going down a spiral again. (eating 1500 working out for 1.5 hours) but im seeing no results and i been doing this for 2 months and now i feel myself starting to slip. ive been eating under 500 for the past week and starting to work out for 2-4 hours a day

day 14- 95, idk i was supposed to reach it by the end of july but now i think it may take alot longer :/

day 16- 2 months ago i used to be pretty skinny march of 2020 and then covid happened and i gained like 40 lbs in a year and now i wanna get back down

day 17- idk?????? sometimes i think i do but no im not diagnosed, like last year i used adderall to loose weight and idk if that counts as one but i wish i could do tht again but cant get my hands on any

day 18- bagels omg. so high in cals. so yummy. like i cant afford it bc ONE is 290 cals and then i always put butter so another 80 (relatively low cal butter)

day 19- its actually been a while so i had to check the door dash app lol. but may 1st i ordered popeyes :,) mostly for my family

day 20- none. i dont diet i just count calories

day 22-i think around 120, covid and a mix of my bf breaking up wm caused me to be super depressed and i gained sm up to 170

Acquaintances (Pre/?) [Mando X OC]

Authors note: Hi. It’s been a really long time. A lot of bad things happened and I’m finally getting to a happy place again. I thought I’d come back with some not Marvel. I’ll still try to do Marvel stories if you guys want it. I’ve been reading alot of Mandalorian FF and got inspired.

warnings: None, just an intro story.

Summary: Canna, a jedi, is hired by an anonymous person to protect the Mandalorian and the Child. But she’s having touble trying to not develope feelings for this man.

I sat up in my bed and stretched. I could feel the sun on my skin but of course, being blind does have some disadvantages. I start focusing on the force as I used it as my eyes to get the bathroom to wash my face. 

I’ve been blind since the war when the village I was born in was caught in the crossfire and an explosion went off in my face. General Leia and her brother took me in after realizing I had lost everything. 

I found out a month later that I was force sensitive. Since then I’ve used it to help me get around as a second pair of eyes. To other people who don’t know me, they would assume nothing was different about me.

I heard a soft knock at the door. “Canna? Are you up?” It was Leia, but I could already tell by the waves she gave off. 

“I’m up. Just still in my nightgown. Is everything ok?”

“Well, I’m not sure you would be interested but I have a bounty. I was going to have Han do it, however, Ben is sick and I need Han to stay and watch him. Could you possibly do it?” She sounded nervous. She knows I’m not really a fan of doing bounty jobs. 

“We really need the money right now, huh?” I could feel her get nervous like she wanted to lie but knew I’d be able, to tell the truth.

“No, the resistance is actually doing quite well…” I sighed and walked to my door cracking it open so she could see my face. “I just think it’s time for you to try to get back out in the universe. I know the last resistance mission you were on didn’t go well-”

“People died Leia…” I could feel her grow sad as I said that.

“I know… But it’s not your fault. And you are all healed up so I think it’s time to get out there.” I felt a very unconvincing pat on my shoulder from her.

“Are you asking as a mother figure or as my boss?” 

Leia chuckled, “Both. Get dressed.” 

I sighed again and shut my door. I walked to my closet and felt the material of each item. When I felt the material of the outfit I wear to missions I knew I had the right one and pulled it out. Leia and Luke told me that it was a beige color and that Jedi used to wear it before they fell. There was another knock at the door as I finished putting my clothes on. 

“You can come in.” I saw towards the door. 

“You’re taking the bounty?” Luke asked as he opened the door.

“Yeah... Can you grab my dark robe from the closet? I forgot to grab it.” I hear him chuckle as he walks past me and hands me the robe.

“Since you took the job, it’s not a bounty.” I look towards him confused. “I just told Leia that.” 

“Lying isn’t good,” I say slipping the robe on. I stand and he moves forward adjusting something on my tunic for me.

“I know how you feel about lying. But I didn’t think she’d approve the job.”

“What about how she wanted Han to take it?”

“Ben is a good actor and he’s pretending to have a belly ache until you leave.” I could feel him smirk.

“I’m surrounded by liars.” I joke.

“Anyway, it’s a protection job. For a Mandalorian.”

I let out a small breath in amusement, “since when does a Mandalorian need protecting?” I pull my long brown hair over my shoulder and begin to braid it before wrapping a band around it. I walk towards my desk and pick up my saber where I always have it. I put it on my belt and slowly start for the door.

“Technically he doesn’t know. And technically you’ll be watching someone who is with him.”

“Won’t he wonder why a girl is following him everywhere?” 

“That’s why you have to be hidden.”

“Luke, I’m blind.” 

“But I know you can do it. He’s traveling with a child who can use the force.” I stop at my doorway. 

“Who… who hired us?” I ask slightly suspicious.

“I’ll be honest… I have no idea.” Him saying that did not help my nerves. 

“Okay… I’ll go. But I’m going to do this my way. And I need a droid to fly the ship.” I turn and walk out of my room.

“I can get R2 ready to go!” Luke says running after me.

Din lifts up a spoon of soup to the child when he suddenly sneezes. The child looks up at Din confused. “Someone must be talking about me.” He says to make the child not worry. 

The child uses the force making the spoon fly across the ship and out of Din’s hand. Din sighs looking at the spoon. “I take it you’re full.” He stands, grabs the spoon then puts it and the bowl in the sink. Din decides he’ll just rinse out the bowl later and closes the doors that cover the tiny kitchen, mainly so the child doesn’t go through everything.

It had been a few months since the mess Moff Gideon. And so far it had been quiet. 

Din had set up on a small planet that even he didn’t have a name for. He knew he wouldn’t stay long. It was just so the kid didn’t have to be on the ship all the time. He opened the loading bay doors so that he and the kid could go outside. 

But as the door opened he saw a girl in a dark brown robe with the hood over her head but still far enough back that he could see her face, standing on the other side.

I was shocked when I heard the Mandalorian reach for his pistol. I was honestly just going to put a tracking device on his ship if he ever were to escape. But the door opening suddenly had scared the shit outta me. I tried to look calm so he wouldn’t know he scared me. 

“Who are you?” He asked through a voice modulator telling me he had his mask on. 

“You’re a Mandalorian aren’t you?” I ask slowly stepping onto the ship with my hands raised.

“Yes, but who are you?” 

I lowered my hood and held my hand out slowly to where his voice was coming from. “I’m Canna Bade.” I didn’t feel him even attempt to reach for my hand so I awkwardly put it down. I could feel his heartbeat speed up a little from before he saw me. “I’m... uh, I’ve been hired to protect you.” 

“I don’t need protection and I didn’t hire you.” He sounded suspicious.

“Technically I was hired to protect the kid.” I felt a jolt of surprise from him at the mention of the kid. “I don’t know who hired me.” 

“What are you? An assassin? Or just a gun for hire?” I could feel him try to control his breathing. Maybe I scared him?

“Neither, I’m a Jedi.” 

“Jedi don’t exist anymore.” He said cutting me off.

“I didn’t get the memo apparently,” I said smiling kindly towards him.

Din looked away quickly pretending to be looking for something.

He made a short sound as if coughing down a chuckle. “We don’t need any help,” he said flatly.

“Well, I can’t leave. Besides, I can help him.” I say gesturing the child who I could feel was now at his feet. The force coming from him was so strong. I bent down and held a finger out to him. “Hello,” I said sweetly, “My name is Canna.” I didn’t feel anything touch my finger. Instead, I suddenly felt two tiny hands feel my cheeks. 

I tried to hide my jump since I hadn’t realized how close he was. Something inside told me he knew I couldn’t see. He was giving me an excuse to feel him. I took and softly felt his little face and his big ears.

“Aren’t you adorable,” I say fondly. I hear a baby sound from him as a thank you.

“He likes you.” The Mandalorian says reminding me he’s there.

“I have that effect on kids it seems.” I stand and hold out my hand to the Mandalorian one more time. “So, friends?”

He seems to hesitate a bit before I feel a warm gloved hand take mine.

“Acquaintances.”

I’m really bored so here you guys go!

I never do selfies sorry not sorry.  I don’t do them for a number of reasons.  Some of the reasons I hope are kinda obvious.  I have covered this before and it comes down to the fact that the relationship I am in can lead to trouble for my dad, my sisters, and myself.

2. what would you name your future kids?

I would love to keep the family tradition and either use Gaelic or old french names.

3. do you miss anyone?

Oh man I miss having alot of acquaintances.  I was very popular in high-school for alot of reasons; most not too good.  I miss my sorority sisters.  As you get older you find out everyone grows up at different rates.  I have friends that still party like they’re 21 and I have friends that just graduated and are married, 2nd child and are like mini-van mom life!  I miss always having the option to choose whom I wanted to be like that day.

I miss my sisters sometimes.  I have always seen myself as my sisters’ mom. They are on the other side of the country and they live together so I miss them.  They are getting so close and I miss being part of the stories, the inside jokes etc... it’s sometimes a little hard to be left out.  THEN, they come home and I end up being a driver, cook, maid, and I’m like okay it’s time for you to fly out...NOW! 

4. what are you looking forward to?

I’m at a point in my life where i’m content.  I’m looking forward to creating the house into a home.  I like decorating it.  I’m looking forward to getting the house covered in flowers.  I’m looking forward to working out.  I’m really looking forward to getting my body back.

6. is it hard for you to get over someone?

Interesting question and I guess I have a very interesting take on it.  I loved my dad forever but there was a time during counseling where we were working on re-aligning the relationship to be more inline with a traditional father/daughter role so we were engaged in alot of behavior modification for me.  It was really hard (and made me really depressed, and self destructive and failed) but or psych was still having me see my “crush” every day but I couldn’t do any of the things that my mom did and I was only supposed to do “age-appropriate” activities.  But the thing was I loved my mom and I loved doing the things she did.  So, life was just hard. Trying to pretend like feelings for someone don’t exist is a miserable experience.  

7. what was your life like last year?

Life has been interesting,  My dad and I are now living as a couple at the house so there were/are real growing pains associated with that.  it’s no longer just his room and my room and we don’t have to sneak around the house.  That stuff is amazing and I love that.  I miss my sisters.  I miss all my acquaintances.  Catie’s husband got transferred out of Coronado and they are moving to the Virginia. My dad’s grandfather died.  Still have no clue where my aunt is.  This is the longest that has happened.  My middle sister quit softball, my youngest sister is like a full woman and it’s scary.

8. have you ever cried because you were so annoyed?

I have cried for just about every reason under the sun.

Call Me By Your Name

Call Me By Your Name (directed by Luca Guadagnino)  is one of the most beautifully profound lgbtq themed movies I think i’ve ever seen in my entire life so far and keep in mind I’ve seen a shit ton of movies over the years. I’m gonna try to give a review without giving away a lot of spoilers so bare with me please.

The story follows a 17 year old boy named Elio (played by Timothée Chalamet) who lives in Italy with his parents sometime during the 80s. Their house is gorgeous by the way. Same with their backyard. Filled with fruit trees, massive amounts of sunshine, and they’ve got this stone fountain-like pool which I think is so cool. Soft yellows, intense greens, and heartbreaking blues. I love the entire aesthetic. Everything is so bright and dark at the same time. 

On top of that I’m actually jealous that him and his family get to eat outside. I don’t know what it is, but I just enjoy eating outside for some reason and unfortunately I haven’t lived anywhere where I can do that due to weather and space plus the only time I ever get to eat with “family” is during Thanksgiving which usually gives me a high amount of sickening anxiety. Hopefully the next place I live, I can have a patio with a cute vintage table and comfy chairs and a decent sized family of friends so I can enjoy a meal under both the sun and the stars with everyone.

ANYWAYS, back on track (Sorry, I ramble on like crazy when something excites me) Oliver, a 24 year old student (played by Armie Hammer), gets invited I think by Elio’s dad(?) to live with his family over the summer to help him with his school work. Elio at the beginning is a bit standoffish towards Oliver which I do think is understandable if I was in that position. Having a stranger in my house, sleeping in my room, getting attention from not only my parents, but my neighbors and friends too. I’d be bugging the fuck out about it. Oliver sort of gives off lowkey narcissistic “alpha-male” vibes too which also doesn’t help at the beginning either. There is a tiny bit of subtle flirting here and there that they both sort of “brush off” because neither is aware of the other’s feeling, until one day Elio bikes into town with Oliver. They come to this huge statue, and separately marvel at it from opposite sides. Elio low-key confesses his feelings to Oliver in a style that I think was meant to give reference to a book his mother read to him a night or two before(?) (This part seemed a bit confusing to alot of people when I looked it up cause I was confused as well lmao) But yeah, Oliver has mutual feelings towards Elio as well, but makes it clear that they have to be careful. I honestly don’t think that that was geared towards their age gap, but more-so because back in the 80s, being any type of “queer” was probably still looked down upon. But yeah, this film NEEDS, to be seen. At least once. No matter what you’ve heard about it, just give it a shot. Trust me.

This isn’t a typical love story. Oddly enough for some reason I do get a slight Romeo and Juliet vibe from it, but I wouldn’t boldly compare it to that. Call Me By Your Name is in it’s own lane. If anything, there’s a bunch of movies that can’t be on it’s level. THAT’S HOW GOOD IT IS. Elio and Oliver have the type of romance where you get so completely blindsided by how delicate it is because on the outside it just looks gray and meaningless, but on the inside....it’s so colorful and universally EVERYTHING. 

I feel like the first time I watched this film, I probably had these massive sparkles shooting out of my eyes. I was just so mesmerized by it all. The color scheme, the piano music, the fruits, the town scenery, the fashion, the anticipation for kissing. (There’s a fucking foot kiss and I swear to God it’s the cutest thing ever. Apparently it wasn’t even in the script!) I liked loved this film so much, I watched it a 2nd, 3rd, and 4th time (while consuming Haribo Peach Gummy candies.) And the ending...oh my heart. My fucking heart. I still haven’t recovered from it. When not if you watch it, you’ll see why.

This movie is romantic 80s boys-love art in every shape and form possible. It’s a breath of fresh air compared to the annoyingly predictable heterosexual romanic comedies most of the world seems to like. I really want to buy the book as well which hopefully I’ll do soon. And there has been talks about a sequel happening. I truly hope it does happen because I will be up in that damn theater with sparkles in my eyes again. You best believe it.
