golden days
GOLDEN DAYS ; what it’s like dating Inarizaki’s golden boy
NOTE. kita shinsuke is amazing. he’s perfect. yeah, that’s it. i love him.
[THE FIRST MEETING.]
“I look forward to working with you!” You bow deep as a greeting, hands trembling as they wrap around the test packets. You’ve recently been appointed as the class assistant to help him balance his duties, whatnot being class president and captain of the volleyball team and whatnot. Kita Shinsuke is one of the most impressive students in your school without a doubt, and to be chosen as his assistant, the pressure is quite closing to choking you.
Gosh, you haven’t even ironed your vest down today.
With a grimace, you pat your skirt down in hopes to make yourself more presentable when he hums, silently taking the heavy stack of papers from you.
“I look forward to working with you as well,” his voice is smooth, cool, and gentle like going to a sunny beach on a cold day. It’s both chilling and warming at the same time, and you stare up at him with wide eyes. “Follow me. I’ll help you take this to the faculty room.”
“Oh, y-yes!”
You don’t miss the way he carries more packets compared to your load, but he doesn’t mind. Years of playing volleyball definitely gained him some strength in those muscles. Unable to help it, your lips tug upwards in a smile as you fall into step beside him, feeling weirdly giddy that he doesn’t seem to be that scary, after all. You both keep to yourselves all the way there, a comfortable silence stretching over.
Usually, you prefer noise filling in the gaps to avoid awkward moments, but with Kita, its appreciated, peaceful even. You welcome it wholeheartedly, that warm blossoming feeling erupting all over your chest even as you made it back to your classroom.
You fidget at the doorframe, wondering if you should say thank you or see you at the meeting after class, hands fiddled with one another while your eyebrows pinch together.
What can you say to Kita Shinsuke?
He beats you to it as he passes you by, his hands faintly grazing against the pads of your knuckles as he tries to fit himself through the door with your body blocking his way. “Thank you,” Kita nods politely, “I’ll talk to you later again in the meeting.”
“Y-yeah, sure,” you stammer, ignoring the loud beating of your heart. Could it just be you, or was there a spark of electricity when his skin came into contact with yours?
[THE FIRST STUDY SESSION.]
“Ugh,” you groan before falling onto the book right in front of you. Kita sits next to you, completely unbothered as he keeps studying his notes, his focus as unwavering as him. “Kita, I don’t understand a single thing.”
“Hmm, which part don’t you get?”
Your groan grows louder as you turn your head to the side, about to complain that proverbs just weren’t your thing, only to stop and flush heated. Kita’s leaned closer to you, unbothered by the lack of space or the fact that he’s close enough you could count his lashes, both bottom and top row. His eyes skim over the messy scrawls of your notebook, humming to himself before nodding.
“That one’s easy. I can teach you that,” Kita scoots closer, his pen spinning in his pretty fingers before he sees your quivering lips, cheek bitten inside your mouth. “What’s wrong?”
Of course he doesn’t know!
“Nothing at all!” you sit back up, spine straight and clearing your throat awkwardly. You make sure to keep your gaze averted from his the whole time, nails dug into your skirt as you pray to whoever diving being that he won’t get to hear the pumping of your heart in this proximity. “Oh yeah, I don’t understand this part. You get it though, don’t you?” That’s a rhetorical question – what exactly didn’t Kita know? – you can’t help yourself from asking just to hide your nervousness.
“Yes. It should be easy. Now, take a look at this passage…”
Although it’s your idea to join the volleyball captain the moment you saw him studying by himself in the library, you found to regret it afterwards. You couldn’t focus on a single thing at all, not when his fingers are so slender and pretty as they point to words blurring over the paper, his scent both calming and intoxicating.
You offer mindless nods every now and then, though his words enter one ear and out into the other. Minutes pass – maybe it’s even been an hour – you don’t really know.
Kita closes your books shut with a sigh, a sound he only makes when really tired. You panic and ready yourself to apologize for being such a burden when Kita closes his eyes, his chuckles soft and a little teasing as he shakes his head. “You didn’t understand a single thing, did you?”
Caught red handed.
There’s no point lying now that he’s easily seen through you, and your shoulders deflate, head ducked in embarrassment. “I’m sorry. I was just distracted.”
“I know,” although his voice is nonchalant as ever, Kita is hiding a smirk and blushing cheeks behind the palm of his hand. He reaches over to get another book, English this time around; a subject you’re better at than he is, as a silent way of saying now it’s your turn to teach him. “Next time, focus on the lesson instead of staring my face, yeah?”
[THE FIRST HAND HOLDING.]
Life has been so sweet and golden ever since you and Kita started dating.
It’s honestly still so hard to fathom that Kita actually likes you – likes you enough to date you! Steam is pouring out your ears and your lips won’t stop shaking as you fight back a smile, in complete disbelief that Kita is walking right beside you, handsome and sweet as ever as you guys go out on your first date. He’s been the one to ask you out but lets you choose where you want to go anyway, but being the flustered, nervous mess you are, you just blurt that a walk in the park is nice.
You snicker at yourself while the memory replays. Walk in the park? What are you two, dogs?
Just thinking about makes you turn your head to the side, chin planted on your shoulder as you grimace. Kita doesn’t seem too bothered, but then again, he’s always been hard to read.
You gasp a little when Kita suddenly holds your shoulders, blinking rapidly as he switches positions with you. His face is blank, nodding once upon seeing you’re on the other side of the sidewalk now while he’s closer to the road. It’s such a respectful, polite act that isn’t even romantic at all, but you can’t help but smile anyway, giggling to yourself while Kita shoves his hands down his pockets.
“Something funny?”
“Nope,” you say with the ‘p’ popping, “Nothing at all.”
He raises a brow in question, but doesn’t pry further. You’re swinging your arms side to side, perhaps a little too giddy that you’re with him until your hand is rendered motionless. Brows furrowing, your gaze lands on the sudden warmth spreading all over you.
Kita is holding your hand, his thumb gently forming circles over yours.
If you were feeling giddy before, your eyes are pumping heart eyes now. It dawns on you that your hands are shaking and embarrassingly sweaty, soft against his rough ones, and you try to pull away to rub the sweat onto your skirt. Kita doesn’t give you the chance and tugs you closer instead until your forehead knocks onto his shoulder, making the docile guy snicker.
“Something funny?” you taunt this time around, using your other hand to rub at your sore forehead. He’s a lot muscular and firmer than you thought, making you look like a soft marshmallow in comparison. You don’t hate it though – if anything, it just makes you happier.
Kita notices this written all over your face as he smiles, leaning close until he’s looking at you in eye-level. “Nope,” he repeats, “Nothing at all.”
[THE FIRST KISS.]
Your hands are gripping Kita’s jacket so hard you fear you’ll break it. His hands are gentle and tender as they grip your waist, his little sighs into your lips enough to break you. Your eyes are shut tight, warm lips above his moving cautiously as to not weird him out even though he’s the first one that leaned in.
In your nervousness, your knee beside his body slips farther to the side until you’re falling from his grasp. You gasp at the sliding sensation as you pull away from Kita, hands clutching his clothes while you fall.
Kita, fast and careful as ever, simply places a solid hand flat at your back, wasting no time to bring you back into his lips again. This time around, he’s no longer soft, dominant even as he places you firmly above his lap, hands strong and wrapped around your waist.
You moan when Kita slips his tongue in, tasting the strawberry lollipop you were sucking earlier, the sweetness of it earning you a low groan from him as a reward.
At this point, your heart is about to combust. His hands are everywhere, lips and tongue tasting every inch and spot of yours like he’s been dying to have a taste this whole time. Your confidence grows the longer and harder he kisses you, hands moving up to his shoulders then to his jaw, cupping his face to press your lips harder against his.
Kita smiles into the lip-locking, bending his head sideways to kiss you deeper, his large hand now lingering at the back of your head. Faster than you would like, Kita pulls away, his eyes hazy with something unreadable – something different than what you usually see from him.
His lips are red and moist, and you breathe harder at the thought that your usual composed boyfriend is tethering at the edges because of you.
It makes you wonder just what else you could do to fluster him and bring out more different sides of him, but as always, Kita is one step ahead of you, your recent thoughts an old and never-ending plan of his.
“I love you,” he blurts out, rendering you speechless one more time. When you groan in embarrassment and hide your face in his chest, Kita laughs, the sound a heart warming one as if he isn’t enjoying how fun it is to tease you. Nevertheless, he only tightens his hold around you, pushing you over the edge again and prompting your heart to do unhealthy back flips the moment he kisses the top of your head. “I love you.”

Uh unsure how many characters you’re willing to write for but can I have the SDC crew reacting to seeing their crush’s sketchbook filled with drawings and silly comics of them? On the case you do have a limit on how many, then I’m fine with either Polnareff, Kakoyin, Jotaro or Avdol (who can pick whoever if you want to!) Hope you’re having a lovely day!💕💕
This is such a cute idea anon, hope you like it. Also I don't really have a character limit, I wanted to do all of the crusaders but then I got tired and it already took me such a long time to finish it and ahhh. Sorry for all the grammatical errors, English is not my first language and it's already so late when I'm finishing it and it's just bleh. I hope you like it anyways, sending much love to you anon! ♥️
Stardust Crusaders finding their crushes' sketchbook
Jotaro Kujo
He notices that you've been spending most of your free time drawing in that sketchbook of yours. Truth be told, it bothers him a lot. Jotaro has had a big fat crush on you for a while now, and he secretly longs for your company. He can't admit that tho, he has a hard ass bad boy reputation to maintain after all. What would people say if the saw him all flustered for a girl? The fact that you would rather sit by yourself and draw than be around him and the others bugs him. So one day, when you're busy with something else, he takes your beloved sketchbook and decides to see what's in there. He knows he's being creepy, but he couldn't care less. Just trying to get to know you better, without actually talking to you. Exactly.
He's very flustered but would rather die than admit it. Has read through all of it, admiring every single little drawing. After he's done, he'll just put it back where he found it, it the exact same place just so you don't notice someone has been messing with it. You probably have no idea he had seen your sketchbook at first, but you surely notice the blush dusting his cheeks whenever he speaks to you from that day on. Probably avoids you for a little while because he's so flustered.
The rest of the crew also notices something is off, Jotaro is always lost in thoughts and smokes more frequently. He can't keep himself from thinking about those cute drawings of yours, reading through your comics was a true delight. It fills him with glee to know that HE, among all of the crusaders, is the one who's the main character in your stories. It makes him giddy on the inside.
His secret eventually comes to light one night, he accidentally admits to having read through your comics while a late night talk between the whole group. While you were talking, Kakyoin had brought up the topic of your sketchbook. Now it's your turn to be embarassed, blushing crimson while trying to get as much information out of him as possible. How much did he see? Did he read through ALL OF THEM?
The rest of the crusaders are shocked at first, but quickly they start to laugh at the scene. Jotaro is reluctant to give any information, but he eventually tells you that yes, indeed, he's seen EVERYTHING. However, doesn't admit what the content of the sketchbook really is. Despite everything, he would never embarass you like that.
After everyone goes to sleep, you catch Jotaro before he has a chance to fall asleep, lying on his sleeping bag while looking at the night sky. You want to apologize, say anything, just to talk to him, but you're unable to find right words. He just sighs.
"Yare yare daze, there's no need to be embarassed [Y/N], I'm not mad"
Your eyes light up at his words. You want to say something, anything, thank him, but before you get a chance to do so, Jotaro's deep voice cuts you off.
"To be honest, I think your drawings are amazing. I really liked them" you notice his face is slightly tinted red from underneath his cap "But if you wanted me to model for you, you could've just said so"
With that, he rolls over and away from you. Completely baboozled, you roll over as well and try to sleep, or at least pretend to be asleep. Honestly, neither of you had slept much that night.
Kakyoin Noriaki
Kakyoin had a thing for you since you joined the crusaders, and your sketchbook is probably the very first thing he had noticed about you. He's always been interested in art, his parents had signed him up to numerous art courses and whatnot through his life. He's always loved drawing and painting, using it as an escape from his daily problems, and seeing that you two might have something in common makes him incredibly happy, especially since he has feelings for you.
He'll try to approach you about your sketchbook very subtely, afraid that he might scare you away by being too pushy. Of course you get extremely flustered everytime he brings it up, but it doesn't discourage him. Kakyoin respects your boundaries and understands that you might not be ready to show him your drawings yet. Despite that, he's always willing to share his knowledge with you. He'll give you advices about proper shading while you two are waiting in the hotel lobby for the rest of the group to finish up picking rooms. During a long car ride, he'll talk to you about his favourite artists. If you want him to show you how to put certain shading techniques into practice, he'll be more than happy to do so. He'll just pick a random piece of paper and start drawing on it, you might want to lean in closer and maybe put your head on his shoulder to get a better look? He has no objections! Just sayin.
When he eventually gets to see your sketchbook, this man is so honored! He didn't mean to look, at first he though it was just some book lying around and wanted to take a look inside, out off boredom. Once he realizes what he's reading at, his face flushes with crimson. Your sketchbook is filled with sketches of him? This whole time you were actually drawing him, out of all people? He couldn't be more grateful that no one else was around, if someone saw him reading through your comics with this stupid smile on his face and red cheeks, they would've though he went mad.
Kakyoin wastes no time trying to find you. For a moment, he thinks that perhaps he should've waited a bit, just to get you alone and not embarass you infront of the whole crew. He can't think straight though, his mind filled with your cute little drawings, with his face drawn with black pen over and over again. With glee, he notes that you had used the very techniques he had told you about earlier. If you had drawn him so many times, does it mean that you have a crush on him too? It's too good to be true.
"[Y/N]! Can I talk with you for a minute?"
He goes to confront you immediately. Others give him a puzzled look, but he couldn't care less. He grabs your arms and leads you away.
"Don't be mad [Y/N], but I've seen your sketchbook and I have to say, I think your art is beyond amazing!"
You're at loss of words, your face red and you could swear that you've never felt so embarassed in your whole entire life. However, his reaction is making you feel a bit better. He's not mad, nor is he making fun of you. If anything, he seems enamoured.
"Please, [Y/N], we should draw together! Maybe next time we have a chance, I should paint your portrait?"
Despite the awkwardness, the whole situation turns out amazing in the end. How he's sure you must have feelings for him, and it makes him incredibly happy, hoping that one day, after your crusade is done, he'll get a chance to repay you and make that promised portrait.
Muhammad Avdol
With everything that's been happening lately, Avdol gets a little bit distracted from you. Before he would steal glances your way all the time, watching with curiosity as you would draw something in your sketchbook. Recently, he's been too busy fighting enemy stand users and... well, trying not to die. He still cares about you a lot and watches over you during fights, ready to shield you from danger with his own body, if it's what it takes to keep you safe.
It probably happens because of a mishap. While you are deciding on your rooming, you leave your sketchbook lying next to Avdol's things and go to the bathroom. After he's done helping Joseph with translating and getting everything done, he goes back and assumes that it's just one of his books that has fallen out of the bag. Not thinking much of it, he picks it up and leaves with Mrs Joestar to settle in their shared room.
You can imagine the panic and shock that nearly paralyzes you once you notice that your beloved sketchbook is gone, nowhere to be seen, reduced to atoms! You begin to look around frantically, looking under the furniture while sweating profusely. Other quests give you weird looks, but you don't even notice them staring. Polnareff is one of them, he asks if you're okay and tries to calm you down, but to no avail. After he leaves, you try to focus really hard and try to remember - when did you see it last time? It was on that chair for sure when you left. God, you can only pray that it doesn't end up in Avdol's hands somehow...
Meanwhile, Avdol is getting ready for shower and goes through his bag. He notices the book he picked up from the lobby isn't even a book, but a sketchbook! Now he's sure he must've picked it up by mistake, he decides it would be best to put it down and not look through it. It's someone's very personal art after all, it would be very disrespectful to - wait a damn minute, is that HIM?
Long story short, he goes through a good portion of your drawings before Joseph comes out of the shower and gives him a puzzled look, seeing how his eyes are literally shinning with adoration. He puts your sketchbook back into his bag, acting as if nothing happened and continues on with his nightly routine. Later on, when Joseph is already fast asleep, he contemplates about whether or not he should go to your room right now and ask about the sketchbook he had found. He's already suspecting it's yours, whose else would it be? He has seen you drawing often, could it be that you returned his feelings and had spent your time sketching him? Ultimately, he decides to wait until tomorrow to find out.
The very next day, he knocks on your door early in the morning. It startles you awake, running up to your door to look through a peephole, seeing a muscular man on the other side. Sighing heavily, you unlock the door and open it just a little bit.
"Excuse my intrusion, [Y/N], but I have found something that I think belongs to you."
Now that's embarassing. You see your sketchbook in his hand, a wide, knowing smile on his face. He knows it's yours. All it took is one look at your stupid red face to figure it out. God, he can read you like an open book, can't he? While you reach out to take it from him, your fingers touch just slightly.
"Don't worry, I swear I won't tell anyone about this" she winked at you, which almost made you gasp "If anything, I think I should maybe pose for you in private? So you can get a better look? You should think about it..."
Who would've thought this man could be such a flirt sometimes...
Jean Pierre Polnareff
You better watch out, because if this man has a crush on you, you bet he would go above and beyond to find out what's inside that sketchbook. I'm not joking. He forgets what personal space is, he's even worse that Jotaro, because while JoJo would make sure to be sneaky, Polnareff wouldn't even bother. He'll try to catch a sneak peak by looking over your shoulder while you're drawing, constantly asking you questions about art related things, everything always leading to your sketchbook.
He wants to know what's inside. Simple as that. You're like an enigma to him, I feel like all women are mysteries to him and he always works towards finding out what their secrets are. You are especially interesting to him, because of how secretive you are with your art. He's captivated, and while he never had any interest in arts himself, he had always fancied himself as a man with a great sense of beauty. That being said, he's always trying to get your attention while talking about how "France is a wonderful country for artists! You should come and visit after our crusade is over, [Y/N]! I'll show you all the greatest museums and art galleries!"
He's like a puppy, following you around and being just a bit too pushy. If you tell him you feel uncomfortable, he'll back off of course. He's not just some juvenile pervert after all! He's a honourable man who would never touch or bother a woman without her permission, no matter how desperate he seems sometimes.
When he finally sees your sketchbook, it's probably because he did it on purpose and not because of an accident. He wanted to make sure that it was him your were capturing in your drawing, and boy was he happy when he saw what's inside! It's all him, cute little sketches, little comics, it's better that he could've ever imagined! He's literally crying the tears of joy while reading them. Before it was all just wishful thinking, but now it turns out to be true! He's honoured, admiring every single little drawing with hit tears streaming down his face. He must look pathetic right now, if anyone was around they would think the was a mad man. He gets up and runs away with your sketchbook in his hand, trying to find you.
"[Y/N]! Ma cherie! Mon coeur! My love, my life! We need to talk!"
Did i mention that he doesn't shy away from nicknames? Yeah.
It's probably the worst confrontation compared to the rest of them, he's not subtle like Kakyoin and decides to talk with you about your drawings right then and there, in front of everyone. At first they're surprised, looking at Polnareff as is he was crazy, but slowly their shock is replaced with amusement. Joseph doesn't even try to hold back his laughter, while the rest of the crew is trying to keep it cool as not to embarass you any further while the Frenchman is just going on and on with his declarations of undying love. It's a bit dramatic, one of these moments that you will probably laugh about in the future, but you felt like disappearing right then and there.
"Your drawing are magnifique! [Y/N], my love, if you wanted to draw me, you could've just said so! Although I don't think I deserve to be potrayed by you, to be drawn by your skilled hands, ma cherie!"
You snatch the sketchbook from him. After that incident you probably try to avoid him, but he won't give up! He's more determined than ever, knowing that you feel the same way as he does fills him with hope, hope for a future life with you that is! He won't give up until he makes you the happiest woman on earth.

If the reader being with Shoto wasn’t chaotic enough imagine if they were with Touya. Like what circus it would be
NO I’M GLAD YOU BROUGHT IT UP BC IVE BEEN DYING TO TALK ABOUT this for a fucking HOT MINUTE … you don’t even know…
I definitely want to write about nice!Touya (basically just Dabi who wasn’t abused) more in depth eventually… but I totally imagine him as such a little shit who’s all goofy and everything… like super teasing and embarrassing but definitely a big simp at the same time… (honestly like, Rodrick vibes tbh with his white and black hair and everything)
I honestly love thinking about it too because I also see family!AU Touya as sharing a lot of the same mannerisms as Shoto (based on how Shoto mentions seeing bits of himself in Dabi in the manga)… Like it makes me laugh to think about how they’re kinda the same boy in different forms…
Both of them don’t want to be around their dad, they both want to piss him off, they both like their girlfriends (both of which are you)(remember, Rick and Morty in this bitch)… LIKE LMFAOOOO they’re definitely brothers if I ever did see them.
God tho, you’re so right… being with Shoto is nothing compared to what Touya puts you through when you’re at their house…
Dude won’t do ANYTHING without you; if he’s not at home, he’s at your house, if Endeavor can’t reach him on his phone, he’s calling you… Like the only reason he ever agrees to go on any vacations in the first place too is because you’re allowed to come… like he definitely gives me big Tik Tok “I’m not going if y/n’s not going” vibes…
(Mans probably calls you his wife too just because… that’s kinda what you are already LOL)
Also, just like Shoto, he’s NON-STOP fucking you just to piss Endeavor off… on the bed, on the couch, in the shower, he does not give a fuck... and honestly at some point there probably has to be an intervention. Natsuo and Fuyumi just pat you on the shoulder when they lead Touya away to talk to him about his… libido… problem…
Honestly though, shit doesn’t even work because he pulls the “it’s a big boy thing, you guys wouldn’t understand” card… to which Natsuo wants to kill him (as if, and I’ve said this before, he ALSO wouldn’t do the same)(tbh all Todorokis are the same) and Fuyumi can’t figure out why he wants her to suffer… (Shoto thinks it’s gross but he’s like, TBH mood)
Honestly, they probably even start snitching to Endeavor… who, even though is highly disturbed, also knows he can’t stop Touya and has kinda a soft spot for him, anyway…
(Touya: stay out of my business and just close your ears idk)
ALSO like… when Endeavor yells at you both, it’s a little different from when he yells at Shoto because, in this case, you’re both a bit older and it’s really more like a daughter in law type situation (not that it’s not with Shoto, just that Endeavor in that sitch is literally praying you guys graduate college or something first)…
So if you’re out with the family and whatnot, Endeavor is less so about to yell at you about grades and more so about to make sure the both of you don’t embarrass him in public by being rude or gross.
I also see Endeavor as the the type of dad who, if Touya’s asking for money, he’s like, “buy y/n something nice, too” when he’s pulling out his credit card sjkdfjas;dlksj (to which you and Touya come home with matching nails and tracksuits and the Japanese equivalent of Cheesecake Factory for everyone).
(Like idk why but I also keep imagining you all at, like idk, the shoe store or something getting new shoes for the year, and Endeavor is forcing you to get a new pair, too)
And it doesn’t stop there, either Touya does things like ask you to hand feed him at dinner (the both of you trying not to laugh the whole entire time), getting all fake handsy and mushy with you in front of others on purpose, French kissing in the car, holding your butt when you walk, etc.… it’s honestly kinda cringe.
(Not that he would actually do this but… Touya who jokes about gets your name tattooed on him just to bother Endeavor… like tbh he doesn’t know what he expected)(Imagine if he actually did this tho… my cooter is wet ngl)
(AND THAT ONE EPISODE OF KARDASHIANS WHERE SCOTT SHAVES KOURTNEY’S HOOHAA… thats’s Touya bye)
ANDDDDD OMG, don’t even get me started on when you actually participate in family fights with Touya… when you’re with Shoto, the both of you mostly just try to sneak away to fuck… but when you’re with Touya, you guys really get down and dirty yelling right back.
Touya literally pops a boner whenever you get sassy with any of his family like I’m definitely crying. You tell Endeavor to shut up and Touya immediately has to drag you away because he thinks it’s hot LOOOOL
(If Touya’s in trouble, you’re in trouble for not stopping him basically LOL)(You guys are the “you got this, baby!” Couple when either of you are yelling
Anyway… I need to wrap this up but… Family!AU Touya…. Yeah…. No thoughts… just him...💙
#dabi x reader#touya todoroki x reader#toya todoroki x reader#dabi#dabi thoughts#man i went off#i just love happy dabi tho#fanon dabis been pissing me off recently so i needed this#ok i have math homework now bye#ask#anon#Anonymous#funnies

Summary: “Surgery was something that Peter Parker was used to. With his job, he really had to be used to going under the knife, and truthfully the more he experienced it the easier it got.
What Peter was not used to, however, were post-surgery infections. Of course, he knew that it was always a risk when going into procedures, but with the overly careful and competent medical staff in the med bay of Stark Tower, it was rarely something he had to worry about.
But nobody was perfect, accidents can happen, and that’s how Peter found himself in his current situation. Feverish, achy in more ways than one, and utterly miserable.”

Peter can't sleep after a surgery gone bad. He needs his Lukey...if Tony can figure out what that is.
A/N: Here we go @sicktember day five! I was pretty excited for this prompt but for some reason had a tough time putting something together for it that I really loved. But hope this fic suffices and if you read it you enjoy it! This was pretty much that last prompt fill I have completely completed for Sicktember but I’m hoping to get some more finished so I may be back with those, we’ll just have to see! Either way, hope you enjoy this fic! You can read it below the cut or on Ao3!
Surgery was something that Peter Parker was used to.
Feverish, achy in more ways than one, and utterly miserable.
His left leg, the cause of all his anguish thanks to an unwelcome bullet wound, was currently being elevated and his body was being pumped with an IV cocktail of anti-nausea, anti-fever, anti-pain, and antibiotic medications. Suffice to say, Peter was not just exhausted but he was loopy as all hell.
And he just couldn’t fucking sleep.
For some reason, despite his delirious and debilitated state, sleep would not come to him. So instead, he laid in his med bay bed with tears streaming down his face, as he begged whatever god there was above to just give him at least a minute of rest. The med bay staff, alongside Bruce and Dr. Cho, had been doing their best to synthesize a sedative for the spider-kid but they had yet to be successful, much to Tony and Peter’s disappointment.
Tony, of course, was by his side the whole time, and seeing his kid in this state was similar to experiencing his own personal hell. But he’d be dammed if he left Peter even for a second.
“Shh, Petey. I know bud. Just take some deep breaths kid.” He soothes the teen, just as he had been doing all night. It was nearing two in the morning and he had no idea just how much more either of them could take. He had tried everything from reading to the kid to making fucking ocean sounds with his mouth. Yet still, no sleep.
Peter doesn’t respond, just continues to moan and wail as Tony sighs. “Gimme something kiddie, please. How can I help you, bambino?”
Peter looks to Tony, his eyes feverish and hazy. He takes a shaky breath before finally finding the energy to murmur, “M-May.”
“May? You want me to get May back down here?” Tony asks. May had been down in the med bay with the two for most of the day, only retiring to a guest room in the tower after Tony had begged her to get some rest before her early hospital shift.
But even after giving his answer, Peter still didn't seem appeased. “No!” He whines. “I-I need Lukey.” He says with a sob.
Tony’s brows can only furrow. “Lukey?” What/who the fuck was a Lukey?
“Please M’ster S’ark, I need him.” Peter begs.
“Okay! Alrighty kiddo I…I will do my best to get…Lukey.” Tony reassures the boy as he stands from the uncomfortable med bay chair, running a nervous hand through his hair. “Just hang tight kiddo, I’m gonna figure this out.” He grabs his phone, quickly but quietly leaving Peter’s room.
He was gonna get this kid to sleep if it was the last thing he did.
Tony doesn’t understand immediately, but using the context clues he was given, he figures that if anyone knew what a Lukey was it would be May.
He could only hope that she wouldn’t be too pissed at him for waking her up at this hour.
The dial tone only sounds twice before she picks up. “Tony? What’s wrong? What happened?” She asks in a panic, ever the protective aunt.
“May! Everything’s okay! Peter’s…well, he’s um, still awake. I can’t really get him to calm down and-and I think I need your help?”
He can hear May flip on the bedside lamp and sit up. “W-What is it Tony?”
“Peter is asking for someone named Lukey? Something named Lukey? I-I was hoping maybe you know Lukey or-or can get him here at this hour? I just…he still can’t sleep May and I don’t know what else to d-“
He’s cut off by a snort. An honest to god laugh.
“…May?”
“S-Sorry, I um…” She giggles a bit more before continuing. “Yes, I can get Lukey here at this hour. Just…give me thirty.” She sighs, but Tony can’t sense any annoyance in it. She almost sounds like she’s smiling?
“I- okay then? See you in thirty I guess?” And she hangs up.
Tony doesn’t know if it’s the lack of sleep or what, but he feels absolutely crazy. “Still don’t know what the fuck a Lukey is.” He mumbles to himself, before heading back into Peter’s room.
Sure enough, after thirty more minutes of doing his utmost to calm the distraught spiderling, Tony hears May coming down the hall. He lets out a breath he didn’t realize he was holding with the hopes that May and the elusive Lukey’s arrival will calm the kid enough to send him right to sleep.
May enters the med bay room quietly. And alone? Where was Lukey?
Peter turns his head to the sound of the door shutting, his bleary eyes able to make out his aunt standing next to him. “May.” He rasps, fresh tears spilling over his cheeks. There really wasn’t much that wouldn’t make Peter cry at this point.
“Oh, my poor baby.” She coos, her kind fingers pushing the hair off of his overheated forehead. “You’re having a real hard time, huh tough guy?”
Peter nods miserably. “I-I need Lukey, May.” He whines.
The woman smiles warmly. “I know honey. He’s right here, I got him.” She reaches into the tote bag on her arm and pulls out a small blue blanket with a silky trim. It looked old but ultimately well-loved.
Oh, Tony thinks. Lukey.
Peter takes the blanket eagerly and is quick to hold the fabric lovingly to his chest. His thumb rubs the trim soothingly. Almost like magic, the boy’s crying has basically stopped, replaced with soft hiccups and shaky breaths.
Tony looks up at May, puzzled yet…impressed. He holds his tongue, though, not daring to interrupt the moment or disturb the finally calm spider-kid.
After a few moments of hushed reassurances from May, and of course the comfort of Lukey, Peter is finally asleep. The room is now overwhelmingly quiet, and Tony takes a much-needed deep breath.
He glances at the blanket that is now wrapped tightly around Peter’s shoulders, before looking at May. “So, Lukey?”
“It was a gift from Ben’s mom— Peter’s grandmother. She gave it to him the day he was born. She passed not long after but…she loved him a whole lot, him being her only grandchild and whatnot.” She explains.
Tony’s heart clinches. He knew May was the only family Peter had left, and to hear about other Parkers just made Tony remember how much the kid had lost.
May continues. “He had a connection to the blanket pretty instantly, only ever really stopped crying when he was wrapped in it. It was the only thing that would put him right to sleep.”
They both look at the snoozing boy. “Still is apparently.” Tony jokes quietly.
May hums in confirmation. “We joked that this thing was magic when he was younger, but honestly I’m really starting to believe it.”
Tony nods, reaching up to touch the blanket softly. He had to admit was kinda nice. “And…Lukey?”
“Star Wars. Luke Skywalker.” May explains. “We all called it his blankey until he was old enough for Ben to show him A New Hope. It was Lukey from that point on.”
Tony feels a bit stupid for not realizing sooner, that goofy space movie was all the kid ever talked about.
“I should’ve known he would’ve needed it. Really wish I’d have brought it earlier.” May sighs tiredly.
“Hey you-you’re exhausted too May, please go back to sleep. I said I’d take Peter duty for the night and you have your shift in a few hours.” Tony offers.
May stands from her spot by her nephew. “I guess I should, huh? If you all need anything else though—“
“I’ll let you know immediately, May. Swear it.”
May smiles warmly. “Thank you, Tony.”
“Good night, May.”
She leaves the room, shutting the door softly behind her. Tony lets out a deep breath, giving Peter’s hair one last pet before deciding it was about time he retire to his cot in the corner of the med bay room.
As he drifts off, he thinks of his mother and the stuffed elephant she gave him when he was a young child.
He makes a mental note to look in the tower’s storage units, see if he can find it.

Mini Fanfic #790: Kind of Went Too Far. (RWBY)
12:45 p.m. at the Sidewalks of Mistral.......
Sun: (Starts Panting by a Nearby Pole Alongside with Oscar) Hey....('Pants') Oscar....('Pants') Do you think....('Pants') anyone noticed.....('Pants') that we're long ('Pants').....gone ('Pants')....already? (Starts Wiping the Sweat Off his Forehead)
Oscar: Maybe?....('Pants') Sort of?.... ('Pants') I really don't know at this point to be honest....(Starts Wiping the Sweat Off his Forehead as Well) Let's just hope none of them followed us all the way here....
Sun: Yeah......
?????: ('Ahem')
The duo turns and see Whitley standing behind them while crossing his arms.
Whitley: Do I even wanna know you two are up to right now?
Sun: Oh. (Smiles Brightly at the Youngest Schnee) Hey, Whitley. Oscar and I were just running away from an inevitable doom back at the house.
Whitley: (Raised an Eyebrow in Confusion) Pardon?
Oscar: ('Sigh') We were trying runaway from Yang and possibly even Ruby's wrath after Emerald made a comeback on their mom, Summer.
Sun: Who's not here with us in the land of the living..... Doesn't help the fact that Neptune laughed throughout the whole thing. So....here we are.
Whitley: I see.....Well, I can't say I blame those two for being crossed with her. Throwing insults on the dead does seem pretty distasteful if you ask me.
Oscar: ('Sigh') Tell me about it......But anyways, what are you doing out here, Whitley? Taking a scroll around town?
Whitley: Not necessary. (Points at a Building in Front of Him) I was simply going to the café on the other side of the road. (Smiles a Little) I heard their coffee was almost to die for.
Sun: (Smiles Brightly at the Café) Ah dude! You're going to the Mistral Café? Their coffee, expressos and frappuccinos are the best in the town!
Oscar: (Smiles Softly) I have been wanting to go there for a while now...
Whitley: (Sighs While Putting on a Deadpinned Look on his Face) I take it you two simpletons want to tag along, don't you?
Sun: Uh. Correction. Oscar and I are Huntsmen. (Went Back to Smiling) And hell yeah we wanna tag along!
Oscar: (Smiles a Bit Sheepishly) If you don't mind any company that is....
Whitley: ('Sighs a Bit in Defeat') I suppose I don't mind.....But you two are paying for your own drinks.
Oscar: (Simply Shrugs) Fine by us.
Sun: Yup.
Few Minutes Later Outside of the Mistral Café.......
Oscar: (Smiles Brightly at a Cup of Coffee He Just Drank on his Side of the Table) You were right, Sun. This has to be the best coffee I've ever tasted.
Sun: Right? (Smiles Relaxingly While on the Other Side of the Table) Told ya this place has the best coffee in town.
Whitley: (Nodded in Agreement While Sitting on the Middle of Table, Enjoying his Cup of Expresso) I agree. This Expresso is magnificent in it's own right. It might rival that to Klein's coffee.
Sun: Uhhhh....Who exactly is-
Oscar: (Turns to Sun) He's the Schnee Family's Butler, Sun. Or at least I....think he still is?
Whitley: He isn't really our Butler anymore. But he does seem to spend a lot more time with mother as of late.
Oscar: Oh, really? Cool. (Turns to Whitley) How's Mrs. Schnee been doing lately if you don't mind me asking.
Whitley: She's doing fairly well for the most part. Still adjusting to the outside world and whatnot. (Smiles a Little) We started to spending a lot more time together than before actually. Speaking of which, she wanted to if you and the others would like to accompany us on a trip one of these days.
Oscar: (Smiles Softly) I have ask everyone else about it first, but other than that, it's sound like a plan alr-
Emerald: (Came Out of Nowhere Slams the Table While Glaring at Oscar With a Black Eye, Causing the Boy Get Startled) ('SLAM') Oscar, you traitorous little shit!
Neptune: (Frowns Over Dramatically at Sun While Having a Black Eye of his Own) What the heck, man!? You guys seriously left in there alone!?
Oscar: Oh! Uh....(Chuckles Awkwardly at the Two Black Eyes Friends) H-Heyyy, Emerald..... Neptune....I uhh...Take it that....Yang has..... already pulverized the both of you.... didn't she?
Emerald: Yeah. She did. The girl literally tackled us from the other side of the room and gave us both black eyes. I couldn't even reacted to all of that in time!
Neptune: It took us five and half minutes to escape the house. And once we noticed that you guys were missing in there, decided to look for the both of you.
Emerald: And now we found out that you two have been here enjoying your little coffees this entire time while we suffered! The hell was that all about!?
Neptune: (Already in Comical Tears) I thought we were all bros man!
Oscar: ('Sigh') Look, guys, we didn't mean to abandon you two like that or anything.
Sun: Yeah. We were just scared of get wrapped up into Yang's fury. Sooooo....we bailed. And besides, in all honestly, you guys kinda had that one coming.
Emerald/Neptune: WHAT!?
Oscar: I'm sorry, but I'm with Sun on this one. (Turns to Emerald) Emerald, you flatted out insulted Ruby and Yang's mom in front them and everybody else in the room.
Sun: (Points at Neptune) And you laughed through all of that.
Oscar: Like seriously, Emerald, who would intentionally ask someone what shoes their parents was wearing while they're in a casket!?
Sun: Your laugh sounds like a literally hyena, dude. I'm sorry.
Oscar: And then you went and insult their grandma by saying she doesn't have any knees to pray to Ozpin or do some kind of....Double-Dutch or whatever!
Sun: Like, I've never once, in my entire life, ever heard you laugh like that. Hell, I can even ask Sage and Scarlet about this right now and I can guarantee you that they say the same.
Emerald: Okay, so maybe I did went a little too far on the mom and grandma comeback, but she started the whole thing first with the stupid shoes insult! How else was I supposed to get her back after that!?
Oscar: Make fun of her cape and Crescent Rose instead! I dunno! But what I DO know is that you NEVER disrespect anyone's dead relative! Even if you do wanna use it for a comeback!
Neptune: I didn't mean to laugh out loud like that. I had no idea those Burns would be THAT funny!
Sun: Look, man, I'm all for hearing a well deserved Burns as much as the next guy, but even I know I shouldn't laugh to one that involves something personal.
Oscar: You're already like a sister to me, Emerald, and I know you been through a lot before I met you, but if you really wanna makes amends with Ruby and the others, you can't be doing stuff like this.
Emerald: ('Sighs in Defeat') Yeah..... You're right.....(Turns to Oscar With a bit if a Regretful Look on her Face) I'm sorry, Oscar.....
Oscar: ('Sigh') It's fine, Emerald. I was never mad at you to begin with. But you know I'm not the one who you should be apologizing to, right?
Emerald: (Sighs While Giving Oscar a Simple Nod in Agreement) Yeah....
Sun: (Starts Ruffling the Top of Neptune's Hair) That goes for you too, bro. You need to apologize to Ruby and Yang for laughing like a hyena.
Neptune: ('Sighs in Defeat') I know...... (Glares at Sun) AND I'M NOT HYENA!!!
Emerald: (Gives Neptune a Deadpinned Look on her Face) You so did sound like one.
Neptune: (Immediately Turns to Emerald) WHO'S SIDE ARE YOU ON RIGHT NOW!?
Whitley: Once a hyena, always a hyena I suppose....(Continues Drinking his Expresso)
Neptune: (Turns to Whitley) YOU WANNA FREAKING GO, TWERP!!!?
Oscar chuckles lightly at the whole scene before he felt two hands covering his both his eyes.
????: (Giggles Softly) Guuuuess who!~
Oscar: Oh gee, I dunno~ (Starts Smirking Playfully) Is that you, Ozpin?
????: (Starts Snickering) Yeah, right! Like Oz could ever pull off a cute voice like yours truly.
The person remove two hands from Oscar's eyes, revealing herself to be none other than Ruby Rose while smiling brightly.
Oscar: (Smiles Softly at the Girl) Hey there, stranger. What are you doing out here?
Ruby: (Pouts at Oscar While Hugging Him) Looking for you, dumb-dumb!~ You and Sun had everyone back home worried.
Oscar: Even Nora?
Ruby: Especially Nora. She's already forming a search party for you as we speak.
Oscar: ('Sigh') Oh no....(Gets Himself Up From his Seat) Guess we have get back home then. (Turns to Sun) You're coming with us, Sun?
Sun: (Smiles Relaxingly at the Duo) Nah man. You two kiddos can go on without me. If they ask where I'm at, tell 'em I'm having coffee.
Oscar/Ruby: 'Kay!
Emerald: (Immediately Turns to Ruby) W-Wait! Ruby, about what happened earlier, I-
Ruby: (Immediately Held her Hand Up at Emerald While Giving her a Dark Glare) Not now.
Emerald: (Eyes Widened at the Sudden Glare Before Sighing in Defeat While Looking Down on the Ground in Regret) Right........
Ruby: (Turns Back to Oscar With a Soft Smile While Gently Grabbing his Hand) Let's go, Oscar.
Oscar: Oh! O-Okay. (Waves Goodbye at Everyone While Walking Back Hime With Ruby) See you guys later!
Sun: Later, guys!
Neptune: Bye!!
Sun: (Turns to Emerald) You doing okay, Emerald?
Emerald: (Sighs Once More While Slowly Slouching Down on Oscar's Former Seat) Yeah.... I'm just..... Feeling like I'm back to square one in all of this....
Whitley: It could've worse really.....Yang could've suplexed you and Neptune in front of everyone to see.
Emerald/Sun/Neptune: (Gives Whitley Confused Looks on Each of their Faces) ....................
Whitley: My mother suplexed a man for insulting Weiss during that time we all thought her and the others were dead. (Continues Sipping on his Expresso)

Are reverts adequately supported by other muslims?
Recently, a sister reached out to me and asked whether reverts receive adequate support from other muslims. No. No, we don’t. I am a member of a muslim women’s convert group on Facebook and we often have discussions about how reverts are treated in the ummah.
Here are a few of the characterizations:
The unicorn
I’m going to speak about my personal experience as a white revert. There aren’t many countries with significant white Muslim populations (although they do exist) which adds to the rarity factor.
We are seen as the ultra-pious ones. Bonus points if you have blue eyes. It becomes a fetishization in Muslim communities to be white and Muslim. After every Eid prayer I get a couple marriage proposals from men who know nothing about me other than how I look. The fetishization of white male reverts is also prominent (see ft note) but, in contrast to their female counterparts, this can actually make it harder for them to find a spouse.
Tourage, Mahdi, Performing belief and reviving Islam: Prominent (white male) converts in Muslim revival conventions, 2012, vol 1:2 at 207-226 Intellect Ltd.
One to take advantage of
There are countless stories of religious leaders taking advantage of reverts, particularly female ones. This is both grotesque and unacceptable. What’s even more disgusting is that we as a community prefer to unconditionally support these “religious leaders” rather than believe the victims. This is aggravated by the low support that reverts receive from other Muslims. Imagine finally working up the courage to out a religious leader only to be shut down because the alleged perpetrator is part of the establishment. The amount of support for these men – using Islamic themes to give them the benefit of the doubt – is truly discouraging. Islam teaches us to stand with the oppressed not the oppressor.
What does being a woman or being a white woman have to do with her experience of sexual assault being invalidated. Does this mirror existing cultural stereotypes of white woman = slut? How can we pretend that this doesn’t have a negative impact on our later treatment in these conservative circles? This is not to say that women of color don’t experience sexual assault, they certainly do.
Religious leaders hold all the religious knowledge and these sisters feel compelled to stick close to them to gain this knowledge. We need to provide safe spaces for reverts as well as sources for sisters to seek knowledge themselves.
We don’t know anything about Islam
I’ll keep this short. There is a huge difference between communicating information and haram policing. The line between them, however, is not clear.
This becomes especially problematic when you follow a particular madhaab or were taught Islamic practice through culture. Why? Because there may be perfectly legitimate alternative views and interpretations on the issue.
This makes it both confusing for new Muslims and alienates those who disagree with your practice but are made to feel that if they don’t follow your tradition, that they aren’t being a good muslim.
Instead, consider informing them about your view by clarifying that it is from your perception.
No reply to our salaams
A common theme running in discussions with other reverts is that whenever we say our salaams to Muslims we don’t get a reply. It’s like saying hello in a respectful, acknowledging way. Do we not deserve that from you?
Normally, when I bring this up people tell me not to worry and remind me that it is a Muslim’s duty to reply and some version of getting the passerby’s potential blessing in addition to mine. I don’t care. This doesn’t make us feel better.
Some people have hypothesized that these Muslims who don’t reply are simply in shock at hearing a white person say salaam (particularly if, like me, they don’t wear hijab). Others say that they weren’t sure if they misheard me. Regardless of the reasoning, I think the fact that most reverts don’t get a reply is troubling. EVEN if we weren’t Muslim why wouldn’t you reply…? If a non-Muslim is saying salaam to you then they are obviously trying hard to communicate their respect to you. Why would you respond by ignoring this?
One sister from the revert group mentioned that men make excuses about not saying salaam back because they are trying to avoid zina…Ugh. First of all, not supported by hadith. Second, surely you can keep it in your pants for long enough to say the equivalent of hello back. Or are muslim men inherently more fragile than other men? I think not. You can also say salaam back while lowering your gaze. It’s really not that difficult.
Non-Muslims treat us better than other Muslims
I plan to have a full post on this at some point in the future. This is a bit difficult to explain as I have only recently recognized this irony. Basically, the way I figured this out is that prior to telling a non-muslim about my religious orientation I would preface it by saying, “this is going to be really weird but…” The thing is, they never looked shocked or surprised when I told them. Contrast this to my experience with muslims, and it usually takes them a few minutes and multiple questions to confirm that yes, I am in fact muslim. And you could say it’s the lack of scarf thing, but honestly if non-muslims can accept that there are muslims who don’t wear hijab than so can you.
It’s really ironic considering that prior to conversion every muslim is all like welcoming and whatnot and then when you convert you almost feel like you need to prove that you are muslim.
I am going to give an example of something that happened to me while I was shopping in a muslim area of Singapore.
I stopped at a shop and asked about this smaller prayer rugs. I told the shop keeper that I am looking for a smaller rug to put my forehead and face on during salah when I am at the masjid for a long time. Literally no idea.
Next store over, I asked this shop keeper about a prayer rug. He, in his sales pitch endeavors said “you can give it to your friend, you can use it yourself”. So I’m thinking, great, this is off to a good start. I continue asking about this rug and am repeatedly using the word salah. He then says, “do you know any muslims?” I replied, “yes, myself”. Then (note the pattern) he says, “you are muslim?!” with a shocked expression.
To summarize, here are some things Muslims could be doing better to support us.
Say your salaams back to us.
Believe us when we tell you that a community religious leader has assaulted us.
Stop forcing your particular madhab down our throat.
Don’t assume we know less than you about Islam.
Don’t assume that we are going to whip on a hijab, now or at any point. Focus instead on teaching us how to pray and what to do at a mosque.
Do not tell us that you are making duah for our family to become muslim. I’m not sure how people think this is a great thing, but I personally find it incredibly offensive.
Don’t be mad if we can’t attend Islamic events. Sometimes we are busy, and sometimes we are just dealing with a bit of trauama from negative experiences from the muslim community. We appreciate the invite regardless.
Positive things Muslims do.
Invite us for iftar, Eid, other Islamic events.
Encourage us by being supportive regardless of whether we share the same views as you islamicly.
Empathize with our challenges.
Motivate us by sending us duahs or ayat.
Make duah for us and our families to have ease.
Instead of saying “In Islam X is forbidden”, try: “most people agree that in Islam X is forbidden”. An excellent example of how this may play out is where a Muslim has an assumption that all reverts will follow the Sunni school and that only the Sunni school is legitimate. This isn’t a Sunni/Shi’a debate, but the very fact that there are conflicting opinions indicates that diversity of opinions exists.

Morning! :D For the OC ask game (and allll for Alex except the general questions): 2, 12, 66, 67, 79, 102, 103, 109, 173, and 161.
2. What would history remember your character for?
Either:
being one of those socialites of the bright young things that are so scandalously glamorous that one cannot ignore them or
being the crazy guy who was mummified after his death bc he was scared of being buried alive
12. Would your character marry someone their family didn’t approve of?
Right away and right now. Even if he didn’t love them, he would just marry them to piss his family off. Luckily, his family is very open about these things and not at all snobbish
66. How much of a disappointment/scandal to their family is your character?
Certainly less than you might expect. In fact, his family would be more disappointed if he was some lame gardener or something. In this melting pot of murderers, jewel thieves and scoundrels you have to be at least a little bit of an outrage to be respected by them
67. Would your character be willing to do something they consider morally wrong in order to achieve their goals?
The question is: what does he consider morally wrong? At least nothing people usually consider morally wrong. He would never betray a friend or reveal a secret they had entrusted to him, for example. As for murder, he maybe could kill someone in direct confrontation, but he couldn’t sneak into someone’s room and cut their throat or maliciously put poison in their glass.
79. What is a humanizing thing about a villain/antagonist/generally horrible person character that you have?
Ok, so. The one big villain in this story, even if he’s never actively involved in the plot, is Alex’s father. He preferred Travis (his older brother) over him and either ignored Alex or yelled at him. One time, he threw a vase after him and Alex still has a scar on his temple from that. However, his father wasn’t always like this.
He was the oldest of five siblings and therefore had a lot of responsibility, especially since his parents traveled most of the time and weren’t home. His younger siblings did what they wanted, because one trait of the Aubingly family is that they despise all sorts of rules. Besides, Arthur (how Alex’s father was called) was what the family considered “dull”. And being considered dull by one of the Aubinglys equals a death sentence. They always mocked him for being boring, even his parents did so, and although they never meant it to be hurtful, it had a deep impact on Arthur’s developement. He constantly was under the impression of being a bore and not being good enough. So when he married Alex’s mother, who was not only beautiful and kind, but also smart and witty, he started to feel worse and worse because he saw that his siblings and his parents liked his wife better than him.
Out of protest, he took a mistress in London, just to show his family that he could do something outrageous as well, but it wasn’t right either. His family liked his wife and therefore condemned his behaviour because they considered it mean to his wife (which it undoubtedly was). When Travis was born, Arthur did everything he could to make Travis like him and it worked out pretty well, even though Travis still had a sense of humour and was not such a "bore" as he was in the eyes of the others. Alex, on the other hand, was so much like his mother that Arthur hated him from the start, because by now he also hated his wife for showing him every day what a disgusting person he had become.
That was quite long and also maybe not one humanising thing, but at least it shows that Alex’s father wasn’t bad from the beginning, but several circumstances made him become what he was in the end. He died when Alex was 17 btw.
102. What is your character’s greatest source of guilt?
If i told you his greatest source of guilt, I would spoiler one of the main plot points of the story, so i will just describe one of his greatest sources of guilt.
Actually, this is really unreasonable bc he couldn’t do anything about it, but he would always feel guilty for other soldiers being killed instead of him. He literally prayed (that was when he still believed in God, yes, he did once) that the next bullet would hit him and not his friends, but it was always the others. He thought it unfair that all he got from the war was a small scar near his left collarbone (and severe ptsd) whereas other lost literal body parts or were blown to pieces right next to him.
103. How well does your character deal with their anger?
ehhhh he doesn’t? I mean, it depends. When someone obviously inferior to him says or does something he doesn’t like, he’s very arrogant about it (not when it’s someone poor, i always mean the brainless fobs that went to school with him or something), but when it’s someone he knows in person e. g. One of his family members or acquaintances, he is literally the most spiteful person ever. He can’t do anything about it, he just says things that are like. Really below the belt. Not vulgar stuff, rather things that are really hurtful and degrading. Afterwards, he regrets it most of time, but he doesn’t really think before he says something like that
109. Would your character blackmail a god?
Absolutely. If he believed in God. And he’s a great admirer of Ancient Greece of course, so yes
173: How loyal is your character?
To his friends, very much. He would NEVER do anything to disappoint them. After all, they pay for his food and everything bc he’s poor as a church mouse and too proud to take money from his family. To his partners...not so much. That is, depends on who that partner is and how much he loves them. If it’s something serious, he probably would be loyal or at least try to be (if i may quote m. Gustave from the grand Budapest Hotel: “I go to bed with all my friends”), if it’s just a short affair, he couldn’t be bothered, it would be too much effort since collecting as many lovers as he can get is basically a habit at this point.
161. Your character’s opinion of pineapple?
It’s food so gib. Honestly, he’s eating all the time and still is an absolute twig
This is probably full of spelling mistakes and whatnot, also it’s ridiculously long and way too detailed, but it was enormous fun to answer those questions so thank you!!💕💕

[ When I discovered the FFX Ultimania Omega book had not only a long novelization of the whole story and trivia lists, but also snippets of the original plot and even parts of that original script and scenes (together with authors’ interviews and explanations) I knew I had to look more into it ! Points finger at it -- I want it haha. Admittedly, it was one of the first things I did concentrate on the moment my copy arrived, months ago by now ! Because so little of it is contained on the eng side of the fandom, it seems, that even the wiki had incomplete versions of these original parts of the script...
Honestly, I was surprised and baffled at the described snippets -- the ones similar to Tidus the plumber HH I guess that’s one known fact, but so much more was contained there... and all was deleted for a total change of the story-- but looking back at it now, I can’t help but wonder just how different the whole atmosphere and story would have been ! It’s something widely described and explained in the Ultimania... I have not seen anything like that ever posted anywhere, nor here or on other websites or wikis. While this won’t be a word-by-word translation of the script in the book, I feel - having a FFX centric blog like this, posting these little gems here, so that people can read them too, could be an amazing thing to do ! If these snippets can make people dream (ah...) or imagine how things could have gone, but don’t have the resources to know it since it’s all kept in an old book in Japanese, then that’d be awesome !
To make things look better, I guess I’ll keep part of the post under a read more -- !
REGISTAN
Before the book arrived, all I could find in the web, translated here and there, was the description of Tidus (the plumber yeah HHH) in Registan (the old name for Zanarkand) swimming around, meeting his group of friends at the Dome/Shrine of Registan and even fighting monsters underwater, where he’d also see a calm Sin passing by. The Dome was both a gathering place for citizens and a holy place -- with an altar and pictures of Yevon around, people would pray him for good health but it’s not considered a true religion as Yevon doesn’t seem to ask for anything in return. The Hymn (of the Fayth) would resound inside it.
In the end, they discarded the name Registan because a true city has that name - even though Zanarkand is based on the real city of Samarqand. Tidus was also described not as easy-going as we know him now. The script continues. Tidus, trying to hurry towards the Dome to meet his friends, would have met a group of soldiers fighting monsters in the street. They were supposed to be elite, chosen fighters, whose commander would shout orders at them. The commander being Auron ! The soldiers’ performance did attract a crowd; among them, Auron notices a man covered in a black cloak staring back at him and starts chasing him. The script reveals the cloaked man is, in fact, a Guado ! Tidus doesn’t notice this last part, and keeps rushing to the Dome... but he’s late, his friends have left already.
I have discussed in a HC post before how Tidus is able to cook. Well, that is something the original script had planned to show the player (so that we could feel nostalgia and closeness too, of Registan/Zanarkand) and something I inspired myself to, for said headcanon: there would have been a scene of him, cooking abundant meals at home (still a boat).
SIN ATTACKS
The next snippet tells of Tidus, some other day, entering the Dome. As he does, he notices a group of men in black cloaks exiting the Dome. A second later, panic settles. Announcements broadcast the same news and people start running and screaming: Sin is landing on Registan. As alarms invite people to evacuate the area, Tidus notices Auron outside the Dome helping people flee; Sin is indeed approaching the Dome area -- its body is scarred, pyreflies seeping out of it as many arrows and spear pierce its body. Sin opens its many eyes and stares at Tidus, before blinking, closing all its eyes except for two, brown-coloured pupils and keep staring at the boy, calmly.
Soldiers, in the meantime, keep attacking the still beast. Hurt, Sin tries to retreat back in the sea, destroying many buildings in the process and whatnot... but the men in a black cloak from before (the Guado), who have witnessed the whole scene, suddenly start following the monster. The script informs the reader the tallest cloaked figure is, indeed, the leader of these Guado, Seymour. Auron and Tidus follow the totally-not-suspicious bunch.
A very interesting thing I noticed... the script also has the dialogue of Auron and Tidus chasing Seymour and the Guado, who seem to want to do something to Sin. Auron DOES have his ‘This is your story’ moment ! And all is still supposed to be Tidus’ tale and flashbacks. The fact it all carried over to the game we know was nice to notice.
THE GUADO
Instead of Baaj as we know it, Tidus would have later arrived in a small lone island, most likely after having touched Sin. Exploring it, he would have found a video-sphere -- a scene of a mother and child would have played: the two would be conversing, but the language they spoke would be incomprehensible to Tidus. He would have also found human remains, buried in said island, of - he thinks, the same mother depicted in the brief video. The script reveals the language would have been the Guado’s native one. Tidus would have accepted the creepiness of it (’This place gives me the creeps’), grilled some fish and waited for someone to rescue him HAHA (it is also revealed he’d spend days alone, stranded in there...)
Here too, I kinda had some very familiar vibes of the whole situation. If I think of a hypothetical Guado language, a mother and child, desert abandoned island and all, the story of Anima and Seymour in Baaj comes to mind. Not to mention the script reveals the dialogue of mother and child would have become understandable once Seymour’s intentions etc were to be discovered by Tidus -- confirming the child in the video is most likely a younger Seymour (and probably that we would have learned the language of Guado as we do now with Al Bhed’s ! )
MACALANIA’S MUSICAL
This is my favorite. Do you remember those animal-like forest creatures you see in FFX, playing instruments around Spira, greeting even Mika and Seymour in Luca and encouraging you to catch butterflies ? Those are what nowadays remains of this original snippet of script, according to Kitase himself. The idea was to give Yuna an idol-like appeal (I guess they still had no idea what X2 would have done ahah) and this scene was a good example of it, together with the wedding ceremony, Toriyama confirms.
The pilgrimage party would have passed by Macalania during a peculiar festival: people of all races would gather in the woods to commemorate and celebrate the figure of Yunalesca, all sponsored by the Temple of course. Seems like a traditional festival, if you think about it, full of lights, magic, happiness, etc. There would have been a stage built in the forest, depicting a corner of old Registan and people would sit there, waiting for the programmed musical number to start (the musical band would be composed of the beings I described earlier !) Yuna would have been chosen to play as Yunalesca -- the script describes her as breathtakingly beautiful, dressed as Yunalesca (I supposed the bikini was not planned to be Yunalesca’s official attire... I hope so). The Guado would have built, with magic, a ‘fake-Sin’ prop to be used during the recital... but as the scene of the Final Summoning did approach, the Sin-prop would have started causing panic by growing bigger and bigger (turns out it was all Guado’s plan) so manacing and real-looking people would freak out and its giant size would destroy the stage and the lights. In complete darkness, a weird light would appear on stage. This light would shape itself into a precise figure: High Summoner Baska (YES, his original name was supposed to be Baska, later changed in Braska), Yuna’s father.
The audience would start yelling his name with joy, calming down, before a man yelled: “Do not fear Sin, for Baska has returned!". A violent wind would arise and the figure of Baska would disappear. Tidus’d then turn around and find out that man who just talked was Seymour. Angered, he’d yell: “That’s a fake! It’s a Guado illusion!” The script goes: people turn around to glare at Tidus, since Baska is a very loved figure among Spira’s people. Yuna remains still on the stage: “True, my father died ten years ago!”. People would turn their anger at the girl, asking if Baska had been Sent after his death. Yuna cannot lie and confirms his father could not be Sent to the Farplane, and that he may be a monster. The crowds protest: “So, are you going to kill your own father?! We don’t need you as a Summoner!”. Yuna would fall on the stage, probably overwhelmed by those hateful comments.
What does this make me understand ? Guado are seen as magic experts, they help with the festival but yet find a way to add their own, weird personal touch to the musical. Also Yuna probably does not know what truly becomes of a High Summoner after their death, and probably thinks that, by dying and not being Sent, her father became a rancorous monster (by now, we know that Summoner performing the Final Summoning probably do not need to be sent: Braska didn’t receive one and is still present in the Farplane in X and X2).
Also, it’s worth mentioning the holy spring scene would have had Yuna screaming (much like Tidus does in Kilika) all her frustration and helplessness at her destiny, crying against Tidus’ chest. There is no mention of the kiss, but I cannot be sure about it as an idea: the script for the holy spring scene stops as she buries her face in his chest and weeps. Being there an affection system, if you hadn’t bonded enough with Yuna, Kimahri would have consoled... and that, kids, is why Kimahri still is present in the holy spring / kiss scene in FFX ! It’s a nice reference.
The last snipper in the Ultimania is the party facing Yunalesca. I find the scene really similar to the original -- she calls them fools, asks who will take Jecht’s place. She calls human beings weak creatures who find new ways to substitute the dead ones and reject peace. She does try to attack Auron too, but he dodges her attack and the battle begins. Outside the Dome, much like in the game we know, Sin is watching them. But in the original script, he did carry people of Registan on his back. Why? Kitase and Nojima explain Registan was supposed to float above Gagazet (Fayth Scar weird column of water, anyone?). Before the final battle, the player would have had the chance to do a sidequest, in which Sin would have helped you carrying your Registan friends in Spira... yea, crazy. Tidus would have been briefly taken home again and helped his old friends, all carried on Sin’s back to Spira. But once they did decide on Registan/Zanarkand being a dream, the sidequest disappeared. ]

c-s support + paired ending + night of the ball
c
Claude: Hey, Teach. I see you're as stony-faced as usual. C: Hmm. I can't tell if you're feeling resigned or if you're just lost in thought. Or maybe you simply don't care about anything that's going on. C: Oh... Sorry. I really didn't mean to be rude. I just find you fascinating. C: Actually, there's something I'd like to talk to you about. Can you spare some time?
>Sure.
C: That's just the sort of attitude I'd expect from a new teacher!
>I'm busy.
C: Is that right? Maybe this is news to you, but teachers are supposed to display an active interest in the well-being of their students. Students...like me.
C: Speaking of, before you came here, you were a mercenary, right? Always getting your hands dirty on the battlefield and whatnot? C: It's a bit unusual that you suddenly decided to become a teacher one day. C: In any case, I've been meaning to ask. Did your father teach you how to fight?
>Yes, he did.
C: I figured. Your father used to lead the knights, didn't he? And I hear he was a legendary mercenary as well.
>No, he didn't.
C: Is that so? Well, I'm sure you grew up watching his fighting style, even if he didn't teach you directly.
C: It must have been hard on your mother when you followed in your father's footsteps and became a mercenary too.
>I never knew my mother.
C: I see. I suppose you grew up moving from battlefield to battlefield with your father then. C: You know, for someone who's right around the same age as me, you certainly have an unusual amount of composure. C: I guess it's only natural that you'd be different from young nobles who grew up in the lap of luxury.
>You don't seem like a noble either.
C: Ha! Well, even so, I am heir to House Riegan, the leading family of the Alliance. C: But I didn't exactly grow up in luxury like most people of noble blood. C: Hey, maybe that's why you and I get along so well. C: Folks like us should stick together. As house leader, I'll do all I can to help you out. We can start by making time for more little chats like this.
——————————————————————————————
b (i)
C: Hey, Teach! Hold on a minute, OK? I'm gonna have this cleared up in no time.
>What are you doing?
C: I came across a fascinating book about poisons, and so I wanted to try mixing one up myself.
>Need some help?
C: Nah, that's OK. I'll be finished soon. I'm just in the middle of mixing up a new poison.
C: Aaand...done! C: What do you think of that, Teach? A colorless, odorless poison! Say...care to test it out for me?
>Sure.
C: Whoa, really?! Heh, actually, I was just kidding. If you drink this, in two days' time you'll have terrible, um...let's call it stomach trouble.
>What does it do?
C: In two days' time you'll have a terrible case of...let's call it stomach trouble. It's a peaceful poison, so you'll live, but you'll certainly be inconvenienced.
C: I hear your silent question, Teach. Why the delay? That's so it can be used even if you don't have access to the target when you need the poison to take effect. C: Um, naturally, I have no immediate plans for this stuff! I suppose I just felt like broadening the ol' horizons a bit. C: When devising schemes, it's best to have as many options at your disposal as possible. Expanding those options is kind of a hobby for me.
>Why such a dangerous hobby?
C: Well, I grew up in an environment where it was necessary to think that way. C: It's like I told you before, I wasn't born into a life of luxury. C: Ever since I was a child, I've always been seen as...different from those around me. An outsider of sorts. C: I've been resented and hated. There have even been attempts on my life. I don't believe I've earned such treatment, but that's how it goes for people like me.
>I don't think of you as an outsider.
C: Thanks, Teach. You know, in many ways I'm just a normal person like everyone else. But in the right environment, anyone could be seen as an outsider. C: It can become...overwhelming. That's why I kept running. Kept fighting. C: As a kid I spent a lot of time licking my wounds and coming up with schemes, trying to keep my nose out of trouble while plotting against my enemies. C: My parents always told me I wouldn't grow stronger if I didn't learn to fight my own battles. C: And so, in the end, I did. And I grew up to be as independent and self-reliant as my parents always wished for me to be. Lucky me, right?
>You've been through a lot.
>You grew up well.
C: If anyone knows what I'm talking about, it must be you. Eh, Teach? I get the feeling you know what it's like to be an outsider. C: The moment I first laid eyes on you, I knew you weren't like everyone else. People don't care for folks like that... You'd do well to watch your back. C: On the bright side, that's also part of the reason that I find you so interesting.
——————————————————————————————
b (ii)
C: Hey, Teach. Do you believe in gods? C: I don't necessarily mean the goddess of the Seiros religion. Just...gods in general. C: Do you believe that incredible beings who control the fates of all really exist?
>I do.
C: Huh. That's not the answer I was expecting. Though, honestly, I've recently become a bit of a believer myself.
>I do not.
C: Yeah, I didn't think so. I never used to believe in that sort of thing either.
C: I've always hated the idea of praying to a god. After all, you can only really rely on yourself. C: I still believe that. You can't win a war by leaving your fate in the hands of a god. C: Only tangible facts can really decide a war. Which side has the most troops, the best tactics, the better organization and planning. C: Of course, miracles can happen. And by that, I mean things that are completely outside of your control. C: Things that only seem to add up if you believe in the concept of fate... C: Things like...well, like meeting you, for example.
>What do you mean?
C: You just seem sort of...impossible. I think everyone would agree with that. C: You can wield the Sword of the Creator, you're a tactical genius, and you have this strange ability to earn the trust of anyone you cross paths with. C: Before I met you, I never imagined that it was possible for someone like you to exist. C: And yet, now that I know you, your presence in my life has quickly become invaluable. C: In fact, it's hard to imagine making my dreams come true without your help. C: Because of that, I can't believe for a second that our meeting was just a coincidence. That means it must have been fate. C: Maybe it was a miracle. Or maybe some god empathized with me and my dreams.
>Some god?
C: Again, I don't mean the goddess of Fódlan. Though... I suppose it may be hard for you to grasp what I'm talking about. C: People all over the world have different ideas about who or what the gods are, right? Even in distant lands across the ocean or over the mountains... C: They have gods who see the world as a whole, who don't care about Fódlan's borders... C: Who don't meddle in our affairs. Who don't grant life or take it away. C: And maybe, sometimes, they'll make a miracle happen. A god like that... That's the sort of god I think I could believe in.
>I don't understand.
C: Well, it doesn't really matter. Maybe gods like that only exist in my own head.
>I think I understand.
C: Careful, Teach! You'll anger the followers of Seiros if you say things like that.
C: I'm just speaking my mind, that's all. I think people should be free to believe in whatever gods they want. C: If a person believes in a god and that god becomes a support system for them, that's a good thing. That's what a god should be. C: Anyway... Maybe I've overstepped a bit.
>It doesn't matter.
C: I knew you'd understand.
>You have.
C: Sheesh, no need to take offense! I just thought you might understand how I feel.
C: In any case, let's keep this conversation between the two of us, yeah?
——————————————————————————————
a
C: Oh, hey there. What are you doing up at this hour?
>I couldn't sleep.
Is that right? I guess the more you have to think about, the harder it is to fall asleep.
>I could ask you the same question.
C: My brain's just...busy. Thoughts keep going around and around in there, and meanwhile my eyes are wide open.
C: At times like this, I like to gaze up at the stars to clear my head. I've been that way since I was a kid. C: Looking up at the big, starry sky makes my dreams feel small...which makes it feel like I can actually make them come true. C: I didn't believe in gods when I was a kid. Maybe that's because the night sky took their place for me. C: Hey, Teach... Will you talk with me a while? C: I bet you've figured this out, but I wasn't born in Fódlan. C: Where I come from, the people of Fódlan are looked down on as cowards. C: Technically, that cowardice runs in my veins. On my mother's side, anyway. C: That's why the people who were around me when I was growing up thought of me as an outsider. C: But I don't believe the people of Fódlan are cowards. That kind of perspective is just based on ignorance. C: The person from Fódlan who I know best is my mother. C: She fell in love with a man from the wrong side of the border and had the guts to leave home to pursue that love. C: I always threw that in the faces of anyone who tried to make a fool of me. My mother is proof the people of Fódlan aren't all cowards. C: Just saying that doesn't achieve anything, though. I need to destroy the prejudices that have taken root in my homeland. C: That's why I came here, to see Fódlan with my own eyes. I thought I might be able to find a new perspective that could help me change things. C: And what did I find? That the people here view anyone who's an outsider as a beast of sorts. C: I was shocked. Even though our cultures and beliefs are completely different, our two lands have that much in common. C: That's when I realized the only way to change things is to bring the whole world together and start anew. C: That's the dream I've been working toward since I first entered the Officers Academy five years ago. C: To unify the Alliance, and then all of Fódlan, and to bring a new set of values to this new land of mine... C: After that, I'd expand that vision to the rest of the world. Break down the walls and let a new perspective come rushing in! Start all over! C: Do you think that's just a crazy pipe dream? Or a brilliant ambition?
>Can you make that pipe dream come true?
>Can you rise to the challenge of that ambition?
C: Not too long ago, I would have said that it was too much for me to accomplish on my own. C: But that's not how I feel anymore. And that's because I have you on my side now. C: Lately, I've spent a lot of time thinking about how I wouldn't have made it this far without you. C: You and me, Teach. We can go anywhere. Do anything. C: I hope that you always walk in step with me... C: At least until the day comes when we can look out at the peaceful world we've built. Together.
——————————————————————————————
s
C: Sorry for calling you out here like this. I wanted to talk, just the two of us. C: First of all, I wanted to say thank you for all your hard work. It seems like our long struggle may finally be coming to an end.
>Do you think it's really the end?
C: The way forward will certainly be rough. Right now, Fódlan is like a newborn. Frail and easily upset. C: If we don't create a new ruling system soon, the Empire and Kingdom will descend into chaos. C: The coronation ceremony is the first step. Only then will Fódlan truly be a single, united land. C: I'm sorry that I won't be by your side at such an important event, but I'm certain you'll do great.
>You won't be there?!
C: I must return to my homeland. As for ruling this new, unified land... Well, I'll leave that to you.
>...
C: The Fódlan blood that flows in my veins... I've made use of it as best I could. C: Now I've got to use my other bloodline to change my homeland for the better. C: I have royal connections there too, insignificant as they may be. It's time for me to struggle all over again and see what good I can do. C: If I don't change things in both Fódlan and the lands beyond, I'll never set eyes on the kind of world I've dreamed of creating.
>I can't be a ruler.
C: You're the successor Rhea appointed, aren't you? And now you're also the hero who saved Fódlan. C: All those weak people who have nothing to cling to but their goddess... They'll rely on you just like they used to rely on Rhea. C: You'll be a leader all who are struggling to survive in war-torn lands can look up to. C: And I...I want a ruler who can lay down a new set of values for the people. Values that don't exclude anyone for being different. C: I know it's a lot to ask. But you're the only one who can do it. C: ... C: I have something else to ask. Please... I hope you'll accept this. C: When I first saw you wield the Sword of the Creator, I wanted to use your power to my advantage. C: I wanted to use you to make my dream of a new world come true. C: But before long, I realized what I really wanted was to see that new world...with you by my side. C: I still feel that way, you know. I always will. That's why I have to leave. C: But nothing will stop me from coming back. There's no way I'm gonna let you go. You know that, don't you? C: Thank you... For everything. C: I'll be back before you know it. We'll only be apart for a short while. C: And now... I'm off to cross Fódlan's Throat. C: I love you. With everything I am. And the next time we see each other...it will be at the dawn of a whole new world. A peaceful, happy world.
——————————————————————————————
paired ending
After ascending the throne as the first leader of the United Kingdom of Fódlan, Byleth sought to rebuild the war-torn towns and villages and to help guide the reformation of the Church of Seiros. After a few months of peace, remnants of the Imperial army joined with those who slither in the dark and marched upon the capital city of Derdriu. The new kingdom lacked the power to repel the invaders, but when defeat seemed imminent, a battle cry rang out from the east. Claude, the newly-crowned King of Almyra, led a mighty army that broke through the rebel forces with ease. This show of solidarity forever altered the course of history, heralding a new age of unity.

night of the ball
C: Oh. Hey, Teach. What brings you to the Goddess Tower? C: You know what, never mind. The answer is as clear as day. You couldn't bear the ball anymore and simply had to escape.
>I wouldn't say that...
C: There's nothing wrong with admitting you're not\ncomfortable in a noisy crowd.
>I just needed a break.
C: Really, I get it. I'm the same way.
>I don't believe it.
C: Ha! See right through me, do you? But I really do mean it. Parties aren't for me. C: Music and fun are all well and good, but those dances the nobles do are...something else. C: I was never really taught to do that sort of thing. My upbringing was...lacking in certain ways.
>Even though you're from a noble family?
>Even though you're heir to the Alliance?
C: Even so. I may have secured a fancy new title, but who I am on the inside... Well, status alone can't change that. C: That's a bit of an aside, though. Say, Teach...have you heard the legends about this tower? C: They say if a man and a woman pray for the same thing here, on this night, the goddess will grant their wish without fail.
>Why tonight?
C: Who knows? Maybe it has something to do with celebrating the anniversary of the monastery's completion. C: Maybe the goddess comes down from above on this night and this night alone to celebrate with us. Even goddesses like to party, right? C: The truth is that it's just a legend the students here like to tell. It's not based on any real facts. C: But I suppose it would be a waste to pass up a chance of having our wish granted. What do you say, Teach? Care to try?
>What would we pray for?
C: Hm... Let's see... How about we pray for our ambitions to come true? C: You don't exactly seem like the selfish type, but even you must have an ambition or two.
>I do.
C: That's what I thought. It's the same for everyone.
>I do not.
C: Even if you're not aware of it, I'm sure there's something your heart of hearts wishes for.
>More of a hope...
C: No one is ever completely satisfied. Everyone has something they long for. Otherwise, what's the point of it all?
C: Of course, same goes for me. Without even realizing it, I found myself holding tight to some pretty big ambitions. C: If you would... I would love for you to share in those ambitions with me, Teach. C: But all that aside, let's get started. Let's pray to the goddess before she tuckers out for the evening. OK... Here goes. C: Oh, divine Goddess! Hear our prayers! We beseech you and your radiance! Please, grant us that which we seek! C: Huh. C: I think that should do it. The goddess'll make our dreams come true now, yeah?
>I wonder.
C: At any rate, we've done all we can. Whether we actually believe our dreams will come true or not is up to us. C: I suppose we should head back soon. I'm sure everyone is looking for you. C: Just promise to spare a dance for me. OK, Teach? I swear, so long as it's not one of those goofy noble dances, I am a treasure on the dance floor!

Byleth/Claude C-S Support (Plus Final Dialogue?)
Mostly putting this here and organizing it so I don’t have to search through the zip file and to clear up what Claude’s deal is. Major spoilers regarding what Claude’s deal is (along with the GD ending and to an extent Byleth’s deal) below. Be wary, this gets fucking long.
C Support
Claude: Hey, Teach. I see you're as stony-faced as usual. Hmm. I can't tell if you're feeling resigned or if you're just lost in thought. Or maybe you simply don't care about anything that's going on. Oh... Sorry. I really didn't mean to be rude. I just find you fascinating. Actually, there's something I'd like to talk to you about. Can you spare some time? Dialogue Tree:

It's a bit unusual that you suddenly decided to become a teacher one day. In any case, I've been meaning to ask. Did your father teach you how to fight? Dialogue Tree:
A: Yes, he did. B: No, he didn't. Claude: (A) I figured. Your father used to lead the knights, didn't he? And I hear he was a legendary mercenary as well. (B) Is that so? Well, I'm sure you grew up watching his fighting style, even if he didn't teach you directly. It must have been hard on your mother when you followed in your father's footsteps and became\na mercenary too. Byleth: I never knew my mother. Claude: I see. I suppose you grew up moving from battlefield to battlefield with your father then. You know, for someone who's right around the same age as me, you certainly have an unusual amount of composure. I guess it's only natural that you'd be different from young nobles who grew up in the lap of luxury. Byleth: You don't seem like a noble either. Claude: Ha! Well, even so, I am heir to House Riegan, the leading family of the Alliance. But I didn't exactly grow up in luxury like most people of noble blood. Hey, maybe that's why you and I get along so well. Folks like us should stick together. As house leader, I'll do all I can to help you out. We can start by making time for more little chats like this.
B Support
Claude: Hey, Teach! Hold on a minute, OK? I'm gonna have this cleared up in no time.
Dialogue Tree:
A: What are you doing? B: Need some help? Claude: (A) I came across a fascinating book about poisons, and so I wanted to try mixing one up myself. (B): Nah, that's OK. I'll be finished soon. I'm just in the middle of mixing up a new poison. Aaand...done! What do you think of that, Teach? A colorless, odorless poison! Say...care to test it out for me?
Dialogue Tree:
A: Sure. B: What does it do? Claude: (A) Whoa, really?! Heh, actually, I was just kidding. If you drink this, in two days' time you'll have terrible, um...let's call it stomach trouble. (B): In two days' time you'll have a terrible case of...let's call it stomach trouble. It's a peaceful poison, so you'll live, but you'll certainly be inconvenienced. I hear your silent question, Teach. Why the delay? That's so it can be used even if you don't have access to the target when you need the poison to take effect. Um, naturally, I have no immediate plans for this stuff! I suppose I just felt like broadening\nthe ol' horizons a bit. When devising schemes, it's best to have as many options at your disposal as possible. Expanding those options is kind of a hobby for me. Byleth: Why such a dangerous hobby? Claude: Well, I grew up in an environment where it was necessary to think that way. It's like I told you before, I wasn't born into a life of luxury.
Ever since I was a child, I've always been seen as...different from those around me. An outsider of sorts. I've been resented and hated. There have even been attempts on my life. I don't believe I've earned such treatment, but that's how it goes for people like me. Byleth: I don't think of you as an outsider. Claude: Thanks, Teach. You know, in many ways I'm just a normal person like everyone else. But in the right environment, anyone could be seen as an outsider. It can become...overwhelming. That's why I kept running. Kept fighting. As a kid I spent a lot of time licking my wounds and coming up with schemes, trying to keep my nose out of trouble while plotting against my enemies. My parents always told me I wouldn't grow stronger if I didn't learn to fight my own battles. And so, in the end, I did. And I grew up to be as independent and self-reliant as my parents always wished for me to be. Lucky me, right? Dialogue Tree:
A: You've been through a lot. B: You grew up well. Claude: If anyone knows what I'm talking about, it must be you. Eh, Teach? I get the feeling you know what it's like to be an outsider. The moment I first laid eyes on you, I knew you weren't like everyone else. People don't care for folks like that... You'd do well to watch your back. On the bright side, that's also part of the reason that I find you so interesting.
A Support
Claude: Hey, Teach. Do you believe in gods? I don't necessarily mean the goddess of the Seiros religion. Just...gods in general. Do you believe that incredible beings who control\nthe fates of all really exist?
Dialogue Tree:
A: I do. B: I do not. Claude: (A) Huh. That's not the answer I was expecting. Though, honestly, I've recently become a bit\nof a believer myself. (B): Yeah, I didn't think so. I never used to believe in that sort of thing either. I've always hated the idea of praying to a god. After all, you can only really rely on yourself. I still believe that. You can't win a war by leaving your fate in the hands of a god. Only tangible facts can really decide a war. Which side has the most troops, the best tactics, the better organization and planning. Of course, miracles can happen. And by that, I mean things that are completely outside of your control. Things that only seem to add up if you believe in the concept of fate... Things like...well, like meeting you, for example. Byleth: What do you mean? Claude: You just seem sort of...impossible. I think everyone would agree with that. You can wield the Sword of the Creator, you're a tactical genius, and you have this strange ability to earn the trust of anyone you cross paths with. Before I met you, I never imagined that it was possible for someone like you to exist. And yet, now that I know you, your presence in my life has quickly become invaluable. In fact, it's hard to imagine making my dreams come true without your help. Because of that, I can't believe for a second that our meeting was just a coincidence. That means it mus have been fate. Maybe it was a miracle. Or maybe some god empathized with me and my dreams. Byleth: Some god? Claude: Again, I don't mean the goddess of Fódlan. Though... I suppose it may be hard for you to grasp what I'm talking about. People all over the world have different ideas about who or what the gods are, right? Even in distant lands across the ocean or over the mountains... They have gods who see the world as a whole, who don't care about Fódlan's borders... Who don't meddle in our affairs. Who don't grant life or take it away. And maybe, sometimes, they'll make a miracle happen. A god like that... That's the sort of god I think I could believe in.
Dialogue Tree:
A: I don't understand. B: I think I understand. Claude: (A) Well, it doesn't really matter. Maybe gods like that only exist in my own head. (B) Careful, Teach! You'll anger the followers of Seiros if you say things like that. I'm just speaking my mind, that's all. I think people should be free to believe in whatever gods they want. If a person believes in a god and that god becomes\na support system for them, that's a good thing. That's what a god should be. Anyway... Maybe I've overstepped a bit. Dialogue Tree:
A: It doesn't matter. B: You have. Claude: (A) I knew you'd understand. (B): Sheesh, no need to take offense! I just thought you might understand how I feel. In any case, let's keep this conversation between the two of us, yeah?
S Support
Claude: Oh, hey there. What are you doing up at this hour? Dialogue Tree:
A: I couldn't sleep. B: I could ask you the same question. Claude: (A) Is that right? I guess the more you have to think about, the harder it is to fall asleep. (B) My brain's just...busy. Thoughts keep going around and around in there, and meanwhile my eyes are wide open. At times like this, I like to gaze up at the stars to clear my head. I've been that way since I was a kid. Looking up at the big, starry sky makes my dreams feel small...which makes it feel like I can actually make them come true. I didn't believe in gods when I was a kid. Maybe that's because the night sky took their place for me. Hey, Teach... Will you talk with me a while? I bet you've figured this out, but I wasn't born in Fódlan. Where I come from, the people of Fódlan are looked down on as cowards. Technically, that cowardice runs in my veins. On my mother's side, anyway. That's why the people who were around me when I was growing up thought of me as an outsider. But I don't believe the people of Fódlan are cowards. That kind of perspective is just based on ignorance. The person from Fódlan who I know best is my mother. She fell in love with a man from the wrong side of the border and had the guts to leave home to pursue that love. I always threw that in the faces of anyone who tried to make a fool of me. My mother is proof the people of Fódlan aren't all cowards. Just saying that doesn't achieve anything, though.\nI need to destroy the prejudices that have taken root in my homeland. That's why I came here, to see Fódlan with my own eyes. I thought I might be able to find a new perspective that could help me change things. And what did I find? That the people here view anyone who's an outsider as a beast of sorts. I was shocked. Even though our cultures and beliefs are completely different, our two lands have that much in common. That's when I realized the only way to change things is to bring the whole world together and start anew. That's the dream I've been working toward since I first entered the Officers Academy five years ago. To unify the Alliance, and then all of Fódlan, and to bring a new set of values to this new land of mine... After that, I'd expand that vision to the rest of the world. Break down the walls and let a new perspective come rushing in! Start all over! Do you think that's just a crazy pipe dream? Or a brilliant ambition? Dialogue Tree:
A: Can you make that pipe dream come true? B: Can you rise to the challenge of that ambition? Claude: Not too long ago, I would have said that it was too much for me to accomplish on my own. But that's not how I feel anymore. And that's because I have you on my side now. Lately, I've spent a lot of time thinking about how I wouldn't have made it this far without you. You and me, Teach. We can go anywhere. Do anything. I hope that you always walk in step with me... At least until the day comes when we can look out at the peaceful world we've built. Together.
Final Dialogue(?) - S-Supported
Claude: Sorry for calling you out here like this. I wanted to talk, just the two of us. First of all, I wanted to say thank you for all your hard work. It seems like our long struggle may finally be coming to an end. Byleth: Do you think it's really the end? Claude: The way forward will certainly be rough. Right now, Fódlan is like a newborn. Frail and easily upset. If we don't create a new ruling system soon, the Empire and Kingdom will descend into chaos. The coronation ceremony is the first step. Only then will Fódlan truly be a single, united land. I'm sorry that I won't be by your side at such an important event, but I'm certain you'll do great. Byleth: You won't be there?! Claude: I must return to my homeland. As for ruling this new, unified land... Well, I'll leave that to you. ... The Fódlan blood that flows in my veins... I've made use of it as best I could. Now I've got to use my other bloodline to change my homeland for the better. I have royal connections there too, insignificant as they may be. It's time for me to struggle all over again and see what good I can do. If I don't change things in both Fódlan and the lands beyond, I'll never set eyes on the kind of world I've dreamed of creating. Byleth: I can't be a ruler. Claude: You're the successor Rhea appointed, aren't you? And now you're also the hero who saved Fódlan. All those weak people who have nothing to cling to but their goddess... They'll rely on you just like they used to rely on Rhea. You'll be a leader all who are struggling to survive in war-torn lands can look up to. And I...I want a ruler who can lay down a new set of values for the people. Values that don't exclude anyone for being different. I know it's a lot to ask. But you're the only one who can do it. ... I have something else to ask. Please... I hope you'll accept this. When I first saw you wield the Sword of the Creator, I wanted to use your power to my advantage. I wanted to use you to make my dream of a new world come true. But before long, I realized what I really wanted was to see that new world...with you by my side. I still feel that way, you know. I always will. That's why I have to leave. But nothing will stop me from coming back. There's no way I'm gonna let you go. You know that, don't you? Thank you... For everything. I'll be back before you know it. We'll only be apart for a short while. And now... I'm off to cross Fódlan's Throat. I love you. With everything I am. And the next time we see each other...it will be at the dawn of a whole new world. A peaceful, happy world.

Because it breaks my heart every time Nicky is dismissed and has to put on a fake smile,, Can I please get some content on Nicky and his friendship with the foxes where they don't dismiss him and so nice things for him and actually show that they care about him?????
this is a very old ask but honestly my heart is still broken about Nicky and yours probably is too so HeCK
He gets coffee with Dan every morning, listen,,, they always get coffee or smoothies or some other hipster drink before class and one of them will buy a pastry sometimes and they’ll split it aw
he hears about Dan’s shit aunt and of course Dan knows about Nicky’s shit parents and they just,,, randomly will go “i’m your mother/father now” at each other fuslkjflsk
i think i already said this at some point but uh, Nicky refers to Dan as “mom” and whatnot a lot. catch him yelling across the court during practice like “MamA, BALL INCOMING” and she’ll whip around like “GOT IT, BABE”
Allison and Nicky always get together to plan the family vacation trips for the foxes , she doesn’t even bother asking anyone else anymore, she’s just like “where to next, dude?” and he picks for them and then she and Matt handle the money stuff
I Know i already said this but Matt 👏teaches👏 Nicky👏 boxing👏
they start hanging out more after TKM and theyre like. the most Dude Bro bros to ever Dude Bro,,, so obviously Matt is like, “let me share my other sports passion with you!! :D” and Nicky is internally dreading it but goes along because he’s not gonna pass up watching Matt do boxing stuff,, but he ends up really enjoying it, and is glad that he’s learning some self defense stuff As Well
idk i always imagine Nicky with longish hair so just,,, he helps Renee dye her hair sometimes and sometimes when they finish she’s like “your hair is so pretty, let me braid it” and he gives her this deadpan look like “please don’t do me like this” but he always caves and ends up wearing it however she does it for like the next couple days, until it gets too messy and he has to undo it.
also just ??? we never talk about Nicky and Renee talking about Religion and honestly thats a fuckin shame
look me in the eye and tell me he doesn’t call her up sometimes when he’s super stressed about the twins or upset about other stuff, like “pray with me Please” and she Does. AND ??? Renee will for real physically beat bullies with a bible, but also she’s like,,,, behind Nicky sourcing it for him whenever someone is homophobic!!!
someone’ll be like “you’re going to hell” at Nicky and he’ll just be like “see you there” or whatever but Renee is Ready and will take them apart bit by bit, listing off all the reasons they’re a fraud of a believer and how God would be super disappointed in them and how they are, in fact, the ones going to hell, not the gays.
im passionate about Nicky and Renee thaknslkdjlskajf
Nicky has a list of all the names of people who piss him off and he will like, take a name to Neil every now and then and be like “roast them for me” and Neil doesn’t even ask why or anything, he just goes and destroys them while Nicky records it
he posts all the videos on the foxes’ Official Social Media thing and Wymack wants to be mad but he’s met some of the assholes and he knows they usually deserve it, so he lets it slide.

Review Response, June 23-29, 2019
I totally forgot about this until right now. Whoops! My bad.
And also, starting with this post, each weekly review response will now show the updated graphs... charts (I keep saying graphs but they’re more charts...) of the stories that got the reviews.
Destiny #010
1) OH GOD. I KNEW IT. Y'S GOING TO DIE. THE WHOLE THING WITH X AND NOT THINKING OH HER AS "HIS GIRL" WAS A BUILD-UP OF SOME SORT. This will only cause X grief as it was one of the last things he said about Y before she died. Ohhhhh god. Poor Y, she tried so hard. I simply cannot imagine being attacked like that. And speaking of being attacked, Sapphire? Really has to get over her fear. I know its difficult love, but you're hindering the rest of your team! But anyways, going back to Y, the way she was dominating at first made me soooo happy. Finally! Proof that they can win! But nope. I still can't get over it. A death so soon... unless she miraculously survives. But tbh I can't see how.
Also nil I forgot Silver even existed for a moment there. When you mentioned him, I was completely take by surprise lmao. I don't blame you or anything, it's really hard to focus on a lot of dexholders in one chapter. But I was surprised to find that none were mentioned at the end, the it hit me that of course they weren't. They've got their own battles (problems) to deal with. Those shiny pokemon aren't going to disappear by themselves. Although I hope and pray that they do. But I am really interested as to how this battle will end. Will the dexholders prevail? Will they be defeated? Or will they retreat with their tails in between their legs? So many questions. And there can be so many answers. I'm hoping that they will win, but I just don't think that is likely tho. They've practiced yes, but it's probably not enough. They need years of practice before they can get to his level.
Also I forgot to mention, but I started sweating when I realized that Emerald still had his Mega bracelet thing I forgot what it's called. I was like "Ho boiiiiii." One could easily predict that he would be targeted first. Or at least second only to Y. But I feel like Peter is definitely using the Salamence to his advantage. I mean who wouldn't? That's one dexholder down.
Speaking of Sapphire, I absolutely love how you added in that bet between her and Gold. Like I said previously the balance of fun and not fun (?) is absolutely amazing. And I can only imagine a lot of people there probably face palmed. Which I get but like it's also a fabulous way to motivate someone (especially two competitive dexholders like them) to fight. But I doubt that that either of them will still have the heart to order around the other person after this battle. Well... then again this is Gold and Sapphire we're talking about. They are two people who might still do it. And it makes for a perfect opportunity for comedy later on. Nicely played.
I've decided to use paragraphs 'cause I tend to wander in my reviews, and it makes it easier to process. I'm sorry of this review isn't as good as the others. To be honest they only thing I feel I can say now, is about how good your writing is. But that gets tiring. And I'll make sure to shut up about Peter being so powerful later on. But I'll admit you're legit making me worried.
Anyways, thank you. Its been a pleasure like always.
I didn’t really think of that as a build-up. More like... “the f*ck, X?”. If I recall, I put that line in there because he says it in the XY arc, and it was incomprehensible... at the time. And yes. Poor heartbroken Y... :( And death so soon? This is chapter 10. It’s too soon*! And yes, Sapphire needs to get over the Salamence weakness... which she has in Destiny because this was before that scene in ORAS where Sapphire did not give a FUCK, since there was no time for such trivial things. Damn ORAS...
Silver? ... Oh yeah. That’s right. Heh. Not only are there a lot of Dex Holders in the mess, but there are those who I just do not give a damn about, who always wind up being forgotten as the focus of the chapter is elsewhere. Hehe. And the Dex Holders don’t need years of practice... they just need to embrace the game mechanics!! Hehe. ... What, is a Modest Rhyperior going to win against an Adamant one if it practiced? Heh.
The Salamence over-usage is not only because of how it cripples Sapphire, but also because the guy the Mega Hunter is based on generally always has a Salamence in his singles team. ... Usually with Choice Band and Moxie and Outrage. One-shot a guy, get Moxie boost. One-shot the next guy, get another Moxie boost. And one-shot the next guy. 3 Pokemon down in 3 turns. ... And then it usually hits itself in confusion and deals like 75% damage to itself.
Ah, the competitive rivalry between Gold and Sapphire! The one that’s hardly ever mentioned by anyone else... It’s fun, though. And all lighthearted. They always need to get the one-up on each other. Heh.
I do like the new paragraphs! It makes it easier for me to respond! I really do appreciate your reviews! :)

Destiny #011
1) If shit wasn't already real, it is now. I honestly love the tension between Platinum and Sapphire, and it makes sense. They're the complete opposite of each other, one's quite literally wild, while the other is as refined as possible. It's only natural that they should clash. But I must admit, Platinum was being exceedingly rude. Like goddamn, you're fresh out of a battle, you need to find a new teammate and Sapphire is giving the perfect way in order to find her. Who cares if someone sees you with a girl sniffing. Stepping back was petty, though I'll also admit that Sapphire was being a but rude to Platinum when she told Platinum to just follow her. But it's simply Sapphire's way (as it is Platinum's), so I guess I can't complain too much. But I'm still rather peeved.
So, Peter thinks that the dexholders will get better, huh? That's new. Usually villains will boast and get cocky, and that usually leads to their downfall. Seems as if Peter is not going down that path. I found that a nice thing for you to add, because it only adds on to how clever this dude is. Like the little clues you leave for certain things, I'm not sure whether you write them on purpose, but some of them I notice and it only gladdens me.
In any case, I did not think Peter was going to manipulate Oak and Daisy. That actually quite surprised me, but in reality its a great way to gain information. After all, knowledge is power. And the more you know about your enemy, the more of an advantage you have. Meanwhile the dexholders don't know anything about him, only that that he wants to kill them for reasons? And some of the strategies he uses. Yikes indeed. Red voiced this perfectly in this chapter, with those questions of his. (And if I'm correct) I believe that this is another one of those "clues" I mentioned earlier. I believe Red might be the one to find out the answers to those questions, as he was the one to ask them. But that might just me looking too far into it. And I'm not exactly sure that that is a clue lmao. Ah well, a girl can come up with as big of theories as she so wishes.
Also, could it be possible that for a future strategy, they use Yellow for her healing? I mean, it seems practical. Their pokemon are not strong enough, and they drop one by one so easily. And while it seems rather cruel to constantly heal them only to fight again, that is reality. We do it all the time in the games and actually that brings me to another topic. The world of pokemon is wonky. We just capture these sort of "animals" and force them to fight for us? We might create bonds with them, but jeez these guys are just living their lives when bam! You come across them and then just capture them? And have them battle for you and constantly drain their health, only to do the process all over again. That is fucking cruel imo. I know certain trainers consider pokemon as companions and friends and whatnot, and that's all great and dandy, but like jeez. At least some pokemon come with you willingly and that's the best part. But whatever I'm getting off topic.
Again, personalities on point, writing smooth. Honestly I've never read something of your that felt jagged in a way. (Which is what really confused me when I accidentally skipped this chapter, and I was thrust into the future without an explanation of what happened at the end of the battle) Thank you.
I don’t think Platinum was being rude there at all. She doesn’t say anything, and from her perspective, it’s natural to be baffled at Sapphire. It’s like... you see someone sniffing at the air and the ground and the trees, and you just feel the urge to not be seen right next to that person. Stepping backwards was an unconscious decision, and hell, I’d do that too. And of course, Platinum hadn’t spent enough time with Sapphire to be used to it, or even appreciate her uniqueness. So for now, it’s an understandable natural reaction. And the cause of the Sapphire vs. Platinum minor feud that... I was going to push but abandoned because no one gave a f*ck.
One of the things I absolutely HATE about villains in anime/manga is their usual cockiness. If I had a dime every time some bad guy said something along the lines of “it’s over”... Well, it ain’t over ‘till it’s over. The Mega Hunter won’t be saying that it’s over when no one has died yet. And I left quite a few clues about him throughout the story. They become far more evident when Blue points them out later on.
Knowledge is power, indeed. Especially when it comes to Pokemon! ... And battles. 知彼知己 百戰不危 and all. And I think Red’s internal questions are a bit too blatant to be considered as clues. Hehe. But hey. That’s just a-
Using Yellow for healing? Oh, I do love how you consistently point out options that actually do happen shortly afterwards. It is, after all, the logical next step. And... ah, the morals of Pokemon. “Pokemon are not tools of war”... that’s because you’re not using them properly. HA! The Pokemon world ain’t looking too bright. Also factor in humans’ tendencies of eradication, and...
I did notice that you skipped this one, given the review order. But I respond in the chapter order, so this one comes first. As to how you NOT notice that you skipped a chapter... ...
2) I swear to god these reviews take me an hour to write lmaooo. I didn't even realize it took that long. Not like I'll stop but dam.
You don’t have to write such long reviews, if that helps you. I do enjoy reading your long reviews, but if it’s too much for you, you can shorten it!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Destiny #012
1) I wouldn't be surprised if they were copying your work ngl. In fact, they'd be stupid not too. Its that good but anyways, I'm face palming myself now. Of course it was a pokemon. What else could it have been? Honestly, sometimes I'm amazed at my own stupidity. Just like I'm amazed at your writing this chapter! Y's, Platinum's, and Blue's insecurity felt all unique! Like, one could tell it was insecurity, but each felt it in a different way. Which I felt reflected in your writing (as I'm starting to realize most emotions of the characters do) which might've just been encase of their different situations, but I feel like it was more than that. Kudos to you, that's hard to accomplish. And speaking of insecurity, this Peter guy seems to really know how to manipulate it. 'Cause I know the pokemon was doing the brainwashing, but Peter was the one putting the ideas and thoughts into Blue's mind. But he wasn't forcing them, he was juts voicing some of the thoughts he assumed were going on in Blue's mind. Also speaking of Blue, we finally have a chapter in her point of view again! It was nice seeing her again, and making sure that she was okay. But um the whole "It's not my problem" is worrying me. I completely understand why she's at that point. But still, not how the Blue I know from the FRLG chapter would act. (I say FRLG 'cause I'm not sure whether or not that's how she would've acted in RGBY. I mean she's had her small arc)
Fucking bastard. I was hoping Blue would somehow turn him down, but I suppose my prediction was correct. He "tricked" her in a way. But I guess I can only hope now that Blue will snap out of it the moment she sees the dexholders and is assured that they are indeed her friends. Seeing as how we already know she is capable of at least breaking free of his grip for a few moments with only the help of her subconsciousness and thoughts. Break free, Blue! You got this!
Also, on the matter with Y. I am so surprised she survived. The was quite a beating in the last chapter. I mean, forcefully being held in the air against her will. With things like Hydro Canon shooting at her. Not to mention the branches and rocks that pummeled her. What a remarkable girl. Even is she had on her suit. Dam. And even still wishing to fight. Is this what it means to be a dexholder? I can hardly imagine. If I break a nail I feel like crying and I start hugging my teddy bear. Well no, I don't do that either. But you get the idea.
But speaking of the time when Blue will have to battle the others. I wonder how that will play out? I wonder what the reactions of the others will be. Especially the ones close to her like Silver, and Red and whatnot. I'm sure that very moment is when my heart will break and I will cry. I'm certainly looking forward to the fluff that will help heal those wounds of mine. But Green's guilt. That will certainly overwhelm me. More than I thought X's guilt over Y's supposed "death' would have. Also, I wonder who's perspective that will be in. Lately it's been a lot of Platinum and Y, but I think it would be great if that battle was in Green's or Blue's point of view. As they were the ones who had the "falling out" in their relationship. Nonetheless, I'm sure it will be quite enjoyable. I cannot wait to read it!
Lackspeed to my babies. Treat them well I beg of you. They deserve all the love in the world. But still I thank you.
The conspiracy! First ORAS copies SA’s Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre, then XY copies... er... well, I can’t say right now I guess, since you’re not far enough in Destiny. Heh. And yes, of course it’s a Pokemon. Destiny literally begins in Terminus Cave in Kalos. And you do know what’s in that cave, right?
The insecurities of the different Dex Holders are the cause of their different personalities and their situations! Blue, the lonely girl who’s been drifting away from her friends and feeling utter isolation, would have insecurities about her friends. Platinum, the proud girl who have never known defeat previously would have insecurities about her own capabilities after losing multiple times to the same enemy. And what she says is what she would’ve read in a book too. 敗將有口無言, and all. And Y, the new girl, who has a lot to prove and a lot of catching up to do, will have her own insecurities after being absolutely obliterated.
Blue saying “it’s not my problem” is the result of her drifting away so much from her friends and feeling betrayed. In FRLG, it’s subtly revealed that Blue doesn’t remain in contact with anyone other than Silver (since Red and Green had no idea what she was doing in One Island, or what she had been doing), and so if that was to continue for years, and she lets her darker thoughts go rampant, she would end up quickly reverting to her old colder self.
And yep. “Tricked”. Rampancy in AI (which is what Blue’s rampancy is based on) doesn’t require something HUGE happening. It can all start with just a subtle suggestion. And now the struggle begins, between her rampant thoughts and her rational thoughts. Hehehe...
Yep. Y took a hell of a beating... again. And yet she’s still trying to fight. The resiliency of the Dex Holders! ... Also, the resiliency of those who are in the top 5 favorites! In order to be able to fight even after such a beating, you need to be in the top 5 of my favorites. Otherwise... hehe.
Oh, Blue’s upcoming fight against the Dex Holders... it will be quite the journey!
Treat them well, eh? Hmm...
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And so with that, Destiny’s chart is updated!
With the reviewed chapters in the red circle. ... Destiny still doesn’t show a trend, as it is ALL OVER THE PLACE.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Legacy #007
1) Janecklyn from Specord here :P
Anyway, i really appreciated those "slice of life" chapters and some of the dex holders forming friendships with others outside their region! Makes the stakes higher and the mental problems more heavy.
Aww, jelly X, I have a feeling Jeremy is gonna be important to the plot.
Moon, you goofed up D:
One thing I like of your writing, is that you get the characterization pretty well, most of the time I can tell who's speaking for the lines alone. It tells me that like you love these characters 3
Intense and suspenseful chapter! Will wait for the update 3
Oh. I had no idea that you actually read Legacy. ... It happens if people just don’t review, since I have no other way to know if it’s being actually READ.
Gotta love those “slice of life” things, eh? It’s not always just chaos and catastrophe in the lives of the Dex Holders. Even if they’re always in the middle of one.
X is going to have to compete with Sky Trainer Jeremy! Hehe...
Moon had failed to properly heed Platinum’s warning, and had failed to react fast enough. Ouch.
Hehe. Thank you :) I do try to make each one sound as unique as I can, though some... just... can’t.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
With this one review, Legacy’s chart now looks like...
The red circle was the change, and so now it’s no longer a straight line barring the last chapter’s “anomaly”. Still, the trend is too clear. Legacy will not be getting an update until that dot in the red circle goes up by another 5. And it has the rest of 2019 to do so.

A comment I just left on ProdigyXD’s awesome video about Kairi needing her own game:
Thank you so much for this video, Prodigy. To be honest, I didn't watch your other KHIII Kairi video... After KHIII, and all of the hate that Kairi got from fans there... as someone who loves Kairi, I've been very selective of the videos I watch. I just- I've been with this series from the beginning. I went through the horrible Kairi hate years of 2005-2006, and while I dealt with it all there... I just don't want to go through it again at this point in my life. I'm not saying that some of the criticisms people have aren't valid, of course. God, no! I'll be the first knocking down Nomura's door, telling him he honestly hasn't treated Kairi the best and begging him to get better with her. But I just don't want to see art of Sora and Riku murdering Kairi anymore. I don't. I'm not saying it's gotten that bad again (I actually don't know if it has or not. God, I hope not). And I'm not saying that that's what I thought your first video was... but do you maybe get with all of this why I was reluctant to watch your first one, not for sure knowing what kind of video it would be? But, ANYWAY. Seeing the title/screenshot of this video "Why Kairi Needs Her Own Game", I went "Cool. I've wanted that for years. I'll check this out". And I'm so glad I did! What a wonderful thing this is, that really hammers out all the fine points and is fair to both sides. And you going and counting all her hours of screentime in the main games is you going above and beyond the call of duty. Major kudos. Kairi is probably my favorite character of all time, because KH is my favorite series of all time... And that's weird, I know. Since Kairi isn't utilized as well as she could be, you'd think I'd prefer someone else. But I think I was always destined to side with Sora, Riku, or Kairi, since those are the main three we start out with. And I'm someone who always has their heart with the firsts. And Sora (who-from a writing standpoint in I and III-is probably my favorite, but shh) just always seemed... too perfect to me. I don't mean that in a way to slight him or his writing. But that I wanted a character I could somewhat relate to, you know? And I just never thought I could reach the standard of Sora. And Riku... Well, I hated him in the first game so he was out. LOL (I was a nine-year-old who saw the first game in black and white, and despised him for trying to hurt my Disney characters.). And while I've grown to love him now, of course-and think his arc in the series is probably the best-the rule of firsts for me made me prefer Kairi over him (that, and because I just genuinely like more upbeat protagonists). But it isn't just through process of elimination that made Kairi my favorite. Not at all. I've always really loved and respected Kairi for who she is... the things she's done, and her potential. Kairi was actually a role model for me, growing up. Because many forget (or just don't know, if they came into the series later), that Kairi was created when the Disney princesses at the time... weren't the greatest. And in a lot of ways, I saw Kairi as better than them: Just her take charge attitude with the boys as they built the raft... the fact that she wanted to go on this adventure to see other worlds WITH them (in a lot of media back then, the girl would have been left out of that dream)... and how Kairi-even while unable to defend herself, sure-was still selfless and wasn't content to just be saved, but would then want to try and help rescue Sora and Riku... was some powerful stuff back then. And her sass. That might be my FAVORITE Kairi trait (which is why I'm sad it's a bit watered down in KHIII. It's still there, it is, but not nearly as much as it was in KHI and KHII): In a time, where a lot of the Disney princesses could be best described as "nice". Having a character who did things like slapping Sora upside the head and calling him a "lazy bum", saying Sora was "completely hopeless" without her and Riku, insisting that Axel wasn't "being very friendly" when he tries to kidnap her (after he just said he thought he and Kairi were friends already) meant a lot to me (this is also how friends behave with each other, and why I bought the Destiny Trio's friendship more than the Wayfinder Trio's). I also think it shows Kairi isn't perfect, and why I see the arguments that she has no personality or is a Mary-Sue as unfounded. Plus... just the fact that the girl with a heart of pure light is one of the most snarky characters in the series is an amazing dichotomy to me, that a lot could be done with. And don't even get me STARTED on this girl's potential, and all the plot threads that have for some reason been left untied with her (I'm also irritated that it seems like, for example, KHIV is going to deal with experiments done on Skuld in the basement of Radiant Garden's castle. Instead of first doing it with the main girl, Kairi-and filling that story in-when the novels say Apprentice Xehanort experimented on her before throwing her into space. Why can't we see this crap? Why?). I might make another comment with all of her potential and whatnot (because I've had YEARS to think about all of this. Especially when the cast was small, so I then thought more would be done with Kairi). And just the fact that Nomura has yet to really do anything with it... just saddens me to no end. I have my own suspicions about that: I think he has trouble with writing female characters in general, and is even somewhat afraid to. But most of all... I don't think he knows how to write someone who's supposed to have a heart of pure light (not even Ven counts, since he has half a heart). Especially a girl one. So I think he leaves her out for that reason, instead of risk botching her... And I wish he'd just realize that I think he already answered his own question long ago, and to just go on ahead wit it: That just because she has a heart of pure light, doesn't mean she can't feel emotions that can be associated with darkness in this series... but rather, that it just-for whatever reason-won't turn to darkness for her like it would with anyone else. Because we've for sure already seen her and the other Princesses experience despair, anger, ambition, or what have you. But, yeah: It's really sad what's happened with Kairi (just think about the fact that the only worlds Kairi has been to are Destiny Islands, Hollow Bastion, Traverse Town, the End of the World, Twilight Town, The World That Never Was, The Mysterious Tower, Merlin's Time Chamber, an The Keyblade Graveyard, when she started this series wanting to go on a grand world tour, too. Why does only SHE get just the traumatizing worlds, and none really with Disney and Disney fun?). And I hope and pray that Nomura fixes it with IV (or whatever game), by having Kairi feel guilty about everything that's happened with Sora, get stronger, and save Sora (or at least be a key part to it), because as much as I hate to say it... If he doesn't, there may never be any going back for this character:( I don't know why he did what he did to her in III: if it was to subvert expectations (we all thought Kairi's warrior story would finally have its pay-off, so he decided to go against that idea to surprise us? Nomura has said he tries to surprise himself. And I don think one of his faults as a writer, is that he bends over backwards to try and make these crazy twists happen when he should just write the story and have them come naturally), to do a tragic romance (which surely it is. But still... there were other ways. And I don't know if the way this has now damaged Kairi was worth it. Maybe this is why Nomura's been quoted saying he doesn't think he writes romance well...), or what. ...I also will say that Nomura has a problem with fridging female characters that is pretty worrying, and should maybe be addressed: Aerith in FFVII was HIS idea, Luna in Final Fantasy XV was probably him (since she's essentially rewritten Stella. And Stella was his. And oh, how I worry for Verum Rex girl now, for these reasons), Strelitzia, and now Kairi. So, I REALLY hope Nomura didn't just think undermining everything Kairi was worth it to just give Sora man-pain... but I'm worried it was. -sigh- Like I said above... I do hope Nomura has some master plan with this and that it's all going somewhere. And that at the end of the day, this will be the start of a good payoff for Kairi: And in a few years, her KHIII performance won't even be a blip on the radar. We've fallen down so low, we can only go up at this point (and since Kairi has now been killed to be used against Sora, it can never happen again. So that's a plus). But at the same time... I do think it's best that us as a community-kindly, of course-let our voices be heard about this, so hopefully it will get back to Square Enix... and they'll realize we want a Kairi game (or whatever), and will give the fans what they want and make it, and fix some of these issues. And I thank you for, perhaps, starting some of that here:)

muslim!Eggsy hcs*
- he's super dilligent with his prayers , but sometimes knee-deep in a mission he'll forget one ... or two ... sometimes three ... in which case he looks up to the sky and yells “ soz. i'll make 'em up , yeah ? ” and continues on with his work. post-mission , u bet he makes up all his prayers before even thinking about sleeping
- took him ages to remember HOW to pray , though. not for a lack of trying , but praying in a mosque was always daunting. other men sometimes suspected him of being a tourist , a Religious Studies student just lost on his way. sometimes he'd pray wrong and get side-eyed by other people in the Mosque. thank god for his canon Muslim girlfriend , ready to teach him right.
- and following on from this , in the initial months Eggsy carried a crumpled piece of paper with him that contained all the prayers , how to pray them , and how long each one was.
- Isha prayer was so long for him , initially , that Eggsy took a movie break in between praying. soon came to realise that watching 20 minutes of Die Hard in between what is meant to be a spiritual connection to God ain't exactly the best move. his canon Muslim girlfriend has not the heart to tell him about Taraweeh prayers , yet -- the ones during Ramadan , extra extra long.
- “ but i’ll still get Christmas presents , yeah ? ”
- no sex before marriage honestly ain't a problem. look , Eggsy’s not a one-night stand , casual relationship sorta guy. and he loves his Canon Muslim Girlfriend , he's in love with her and in love with everything she stands for. and he'd wait a thousand lifetimes for her , reduced to hearteyes and holding her hand and occasionally , if he's lucky , getting to kiss her on the cheek ( !!! )
- is learning Arabic but struggles with languages in general. in the meantime , he just knows basic words and phrases that signify the beginning / end of prayers , or " Allahu Akbar " , God is Great , which in prayers signifies a transition -- and reads the Quran with English translation
- occasionally wears some variation of the Shalwar Kameez and looks STUNNING in it
- Eggsy on google : Adidas Shalwar Kameez
- “ no Haribos ? you're fuckin' kidding me. why the fuck they gotta add this gelatine shit to everythin' ? what the fuck are muslims supposed to eat ? "
- “ oh and look , KFC ain't halal either. what the fuck. ”
- giving up pork ? ain't a problem , unless he's stayin' at his mums , because you bet she makes the most delicious bacon sandwiches the world has ever seen. Eggsy takes every precaution necessary to ensure that succulent smell doesn't reach his nostrils ----------------- yet as it turns out Michelle is more than understanding and just ??? doesn't cook it , when he's around. wot a g.
- gets depressed and frankly , quite angry , when he overhears his neighbours calling his conversion to Islam a “ phase ”. but if anything , it makes him wanna try harder to be a better Muslim.
- prays regularly for Kingsman’s Middle Eastern and Asian counterparts , hoping they’ll have the strength and capabilities to annihilate Daesh one day
- “ why the fuck are people callin’ them muslims ? we ain’t affiliated to them wankas. ”
- alcohol is ....................... still a fighting battle. he drinks less , for sure , but is still accustomed to just ordering a drink , to taking a sip without thinking , to succumbing to peer pressure when he's out with friends
- speaking of friends , Jamal is Eggsy's Hero. Jamal wasn't brought up a strict Muslim , but has family members that are more devout , and therefore knows his fair share about Islam and whatnot. you bet Jamal got calls from Eggsy at the most random hours , with questions , or problems. and sometimes NEITHER of them knew the answer , and it was the beginning of a new and stressful mission.
- Eggsy on google : can I rap the Quran or is that bad
- Eggsy loves how the Muslim community feels like an extended family , almost -- in how warm and welcoming they are , and how regardless of whether you know a person , being a Muslim brings everyone together. he loves how they call each other their " Muslim brothers " , how there's a solidarity amongst religious folk that he's never witnessed before. he’s fit in so seamlessly it’s almost surreal , to him. and he's made a lot of new friends.
- has never been to Ilford before , but now that he's a Muslim ... the venture for halal food / halal meat leads him to this place -- and boy ! it's an experience
- knows he has to do hajj / umrah one day , and has read up on it thoroughly , but finds the concept incredibly daunting , especially as his girl won't be there to guide him every step of the way
- doesn't agree with segregation , the concept pisses him off -- where it makes sense in the mosque but doesn't outside of it , to him at least. but of course , holds his tongue on the subject , and obliges. and it’s one of the places where upbringing clashes with religious requirements , because Eggsy in a Muslim family would not struggle with certain concepts as much as he is now -- brought up the way he was , and suddenly conforming to different ideals
- still doesn’t believe in Djinn.
- was blown away the first time he properly heard a recitation of the Qur’an , mesmerised by the almost-melodic flow of its verses and how beautiful it sounded in the right hands , with the right voices.
- Eggsy , being well aware that white men like him are the reason Muslims struggle to live their lives on the daily. especially Muslim women.
- hopes his death involves protecting every single woman on the planet because wow he knew women struggled on the daily but now that his perspective has broadened to Muslim women living in the West ? WOW. there are some things he , as a white man , will never truly know , and it breaks his heart
- gives away his old hoodies to women who wear the headscarf , in case they ever feel endangered or threatened and need to hide their hijab in any way

Nenîth,
Well, we haven't killed anything in the last couple days, so at least there's that.
We've mostly spent it visiting with our friends around the settlement, which has been wonderful. We started with Alorvin, since we owed her a favor for her help with the waterbreathing spell -- though before that, I woke up early, still too restless and unsettled to sleep well, and took Squirt off to the scientists' shrine to Aluarashi, and I knelt down and laid into the water one of the scales I'd pried off of the dragon on Rugira Prime and did a rather poor job of praying to them, I think. Mostly I just wanted to say that I was sorry for how things had gone with the hydra, that I hadn't really seen any other alternative in the moment but I still felt like I'd fucked it all up, and I was sorry for it.
I wasn't expecting anything, really. I just wanted to tell them that I was sorry, but they must have been feeling indulgent, or maybe still feeling kindly toward us after the puzzles and everything. I suppose the months that we've been gone must feel like the blink of an eye, to a deity. In any case, I think I understand better what Elyn was trying to tell us, after she left her offering, and why she looked so poleaxed, because all at once I felt like I could see the whole of the ocean -- but more than just see it. It felt like holding an entire starmap within my mind's eye, and all at the same time being able to watch every planet that orbited every star, and every creature that lived on every planet, and see and understand how they all interwove with one another to form a single tapestry. I held within my mind every fish and every crab and every strand of kelp, and I think they were trying to show me how vast and intricate their domain is, and that one thread started or ended wouldn't be enough to cause the tapestry to fall apart, or even really to change the picture. Then they showed me the slain hydra, sinking down into the black depths and settling at last on the ocean floor, and all the other fallen creatures that have done the same, the bones left behind by creatures long-dead and scavenged, the half-rotted corpses of things that had died more recently, the ones that were newly-fallen like the hydra, that hadn't yet been found and feasted on by the ocean's scavengers. All these dead things, they showed me, and the hydra I killed just one amongst a vast carpet of them littered across the ocean floor.
I think they were trying to make me feel better, and I suppose when one is a deity, one can afford to look at the picture made by the vast scope of an entire ocean, and to think in terms of decades and centuries and millennia. But I'm not a deity, I'm just one of those threads, and it might not matter overmuch to Aluarashi but it mattered to the hydra I killed, and it matters to the scientists who would have rather it lived.
I knelt there for a few moments longer, reeling with all that had been dumped into my mind, and then I told them that I was still sorry, because I am, and I walked back to Drime's with Squirt and drank coffee and waited for the others to wake up. And that's when we went off to Alorvin's, to pay back the favor we owed her. Mostly she just needed fallen deadwood moved about, and I think after the few days that we had we were all glad to have a task that was simple and straightforward to set ourselves to. She introduced us to a friend she's made in the woods, too, a bobcat who was very tolerant of us all wanting to be introduced, and Elyn was a little uncertain at first but I think it was good for her to make the acquaintance of an animal on this planet that wasn't interested in killing her.
After we'd finished helping Alorvin, she took us to Niko's home so we could say hi to her, since she's not staying with Alorvin anymore like she was when we left. It was good to see her getting settled in amongst the rest of the community, and good just to see her, too. She thanked me for the loom -- she said it was generous, which I tried to protest because it's not, it wasn't about generosity, it was just about doing something nice for a friend, it was about seeing a need she had and having a solution to it that would be easier for me than for her, and so why wouldn't I want to help her with it? She kept saying it, though, and so I stopped trying to protest why I'd done it and told her she was welcome, and that I hoped [loom-maker] had given her something that she could modify in the way that I'd wanted for her, and that I hadn't really understood what he was saying but he'd seemed to understand what I was asking for. She showed me what she was working on, a fabric of black shot with copper, though she tried to say it wasn't much to look at and I had to shut her down on that and tell her that it was lovely. I don't know what sort of fabrics she was able to make back on her own plane, if it was so lovely and fine that the things she weaves here pale in comparison, but it doesn't change the fact that the things I've seen her make here have all been gorgeous.
We had tea with her, and talked a little about her weaving -- or, mostly I let her talk, and tried to understand as best I could, but I think Elyn understood more than I did, since her mom's a tailor -- and then she gifted us each with the most gorgeous scarves I've ever seen. She had a handful to choose from, and Elyn took one that was done in pinks and oranges, and I took one that was made of the loveliest blues and greens and will compliment my boots from Aluarashi quite well, I think. We talked about having lunch with her before we left, too, and before we knew it suddenly we were planning one at Drime's, something that we could invite all of our friends to and get to enjoy all their company one last time before we returned to Mir on the Seles Emsel.
We lured Cloudleaper to the temple to Mishakal with the promise of getting to meet a dog, and she fell all over Gwynne at once, as I suspected she would. Ren was there, and we said hello and spent some time talking with them before Seb came out, too. They asked if we were looking for healing potions, which we weren't, really, but decided it wouldn't hurt to have a few more to our name, so we bought a couple and invited them both to our planned lunch -- and then they noticed my bow, and I saw that they recognized it, recognized it not just as a fancy magical weapon but recognized it for what it was, for what it had been inspired by and modeled off of, and I was so glad for it I could have burst. I showed it off to them, and they admired it precisely as much as it deserves, and finally I dragged myself away from them, and -- an even greater task -- dragged Cloudleaper away from Gwynne, mostly by promising to let her pet Squirt. I can't say he was thrilled at the prospect, but I promised him scritches and lots of time to go run around in the woods in the morning, and bacon from Drime, and he relented, because he is the very best dog in the whole galaxy.
We've spent some more time with the children, too, because that always seems to be where we end up when we don't have much else to occupy us. Loren showed off some magical lighters she had enchanted, and she was so proud! She offered us one, and she seemed particularly pleased with one that she had made that burned with a purple flame, so of course, how could I pass that up? She also said that we should let her know if it broke or anything and she would fix it, but I assured her that we would take very good care of it and make sure we didn't break it.
And then -- oh nenîth, then Jesson came up very shyly and gave me a little Squirt figure that he had made out of yarn, and said that it was so that if sometimes on our adventures Squirt has to be somewhere else, I'll have this yarn-Squirt that I can hold onto and keep and know that he's still with me, no matter how far away he might be, and I almost cried I was so delighted and so moved, and I hugged him so hard he squeaked.
Aside from that, things have been quiet around here. We've been planning our lunch, and Elyn has been helping them with some issues they've been having with their technology, and I've been lending my experience to those who are working on mapping the planet, as much as I can. And the other night we were all sitting around together and Elyn glumly informed us that she'd been trying to search on her LICD for any news of us that might have come up but that she hadn't been able to find anything, and that it might be easier if we had a name for our little group that we could search for, instead of "those three girls with the enormous dog who like to stick their noses into things and get into trouble".
We threw ideas around for a little while -- Cloudleaper suggested Electro-Magnetic Pulse, because of Elyn's affinity for technology and also the letters would stand in for our names -- Elyn, Maliah, and Pika, but Elyn rightly protested that that didn't include Cloudleaper in any way and we felt like it should, and I pointed out that we'd have a hard time searching for that name and finding mentions of us, instead of just science journals or whatnot. Cloudleaper muttered something, then, about chaos, and I think she meant it to be disparaging, but-- well, she's not wrong. I mulled over that for a moment and suggested the Chaos Machine, because we do seem to generate it wherever we go, don't we? But Cloudleaper didn't like that at all -- she said it sounded like a twelve-year-old made it up, which is honestly just rude, I didn't insult her idea. But that led us around, eventually, to combining the two into Electro-Magnetic Chaos, which has the benefit of being more easily searchable than an actual scientific term, and it's got the C to represent Cloudleaper. And we all decided that we liked it well enough, or at least better than anything else we'd been able to think up, and so here we are now. We've sent off to register it, too, so it's all official and everything now.
Elyn also pointed out that ECM could stand for Emergency Mom Collective, and she's not wrong about that, either.
Anyway, we've only got one more day left here on-planet before the Seles Emsel heads back up to Mir, and we'll need to spend some of it finishing up the arrangements for tomorrow's lunch at the inn, but I also want to let Squirt stretch his legs for a good long bit, while we've still got the time and the space to do it, and I definitely need to go hug those kids at least fifteen more times. I'll let you know if there's anything else interesting that happens while we're here, and if nothing else, I'm sure I'll have something to write you about once we're back on Mir and can learn what information Athan and Kian have found for us about those smugglers! It's been so nice to be back here, and I feel like I could stay for another three weeks, at least. I hope their teleportation circle is finished soon, so we can stop by more often, and easier.
And I hope you both are doing well, too! Please write me back and tell me everything that you've been up to and all the jump rings you've mapped since your last letter. I miss you both so much. It's been a balm to my heart to be able to walk out under the trees here on Nosirion-1 and let all the green swallow me up after all that time in the desert, but it's not the same as the Feywild. I'm still glad to be out here, and there's still so many more things I want to see, but that doesn't stop me from missing home, and you, at the same time.
Give each other hugs for me, just as tight as you know I would if I were there.
All my love,
Maliah
