it’s evil art and stepcest o’clock !!!
stanford era art sending patrick videos of himself fucking pat’s stepsister!reader ,, your mom married patrick’s dad ago when all of you were still in high school. it was abrupt to say the least, one day pat walks into his family’s estate for the start of winter break and all of a sudden there’s a girl his age glaring at him in the kitchen. getting close to you was like calming down a feral animal, but eventually you and patrick reached a closeness no one expected. art has always been an extension of patrick, so naturally the three of you became a little trio, especially when you have a little saltburn summer together at one of patrick’s estates before you and art go off to stanford and patrick heads out on tour.
and the thing is, art is more perceptive than either of you give him credit for. he sees the way you two look at each other, the lingering looks and the touches that last a little too long. so he starts testing the waters. he flirts with you, gets closer to you than he needs to when you talk, takes you out on the tennis court early in the morning to “help him practice” so when pat wakes up he sees you coming back inside laughing together. patrick fucking seethes every time, but he refuses to say anything. art even teases him about it when they’re alone, runs a hand up patrick’s thigh and says things like “don’t you wish this was her doing this to you?” and of course patrick caves, admits his wants when art takes his dick down his throat, but he never makes a move. he never crosses the line. so, art starts trying with you, too. he’ll sneak into your room (usually after he’s done with patrick) and touch you slow, pinch your nipples, ghost his fingers over your clit. he never goes too far, just gets you worked up and makes you cum on his fingers. all while whispering, “wouldn’t his fingers feel so good in this little pussy?”
he spends the whole summer working both of you up and still nothing happens, so when you and him are alone at stanford together he decides to push again. selfishly, he knows he’s also doing this for himself. he’d be deluding himself if he said he hadn’t wanted to fuck you from the moment he laid eyes on you. honestly, him keeping himself from doing it every time he dipped his fingers in your wet pussy should win him a fucking medal of honor. now though, now he has you with your chest pinned to the bed, sobbing directly into his shitty phone camera, begging for patrick while you fuck yourself back on his dick. “go on baby, tell pat what you told me,” he pants.
“please- fuck— please come visit pat, want- want you so bad- ‘m sorry i didn’t say! ‘m sorry- ‘m sorry!”
patrick’s never booked a flight faster in his life <33
RAHHH RAHH RAHHHH
Art takes one look at you and Patrick’s sappy, lovebird expressions and your refusal to ever actually fucking do something and he just snaps. He’ll be a good friend, he’ll fix it for Patrick, just like Patrick helped him with so many of his crushes that weren’t going to fucking go anywhere.
Of course you think Art’s hot, you think he’s sweet, and he’s smart, and he gives you all the attention you could want. And the best thing is, your mom isn’t fucking married to his dad. So you don’t mind when he kisses you, when he has you pinned onto your bed and moves his hand under your shirt to play with your tits. His mouth tastes like Patrick’s sometimes, and you always kiss him harder when he does.
And he knows— you know he knows how you feel about Patrick, because he teases you about it, always when he’s got his fingers buried inside of you and you’re right on the brink. Don’t you think Patrick’s fingers would feel so good stretching out your tight little pussy? Don’t you wish he’d just fuck you the way you want? Just pin you down and claim your pussy as his own? Oh, fuck, I can feel you clenching around my fingers, you want him so bad. You want your step brother bullying this little pussy, he’s so mean for keeping his cock from you, huh?
It makes you cum every time, gushing around his fingers, mouth open and pink as you cry out with pretty moans. Art licks inside, kisses you hungry and desperate while you fist his cock in your hand. You always want him to fuck you, but he just tells you not tonight. A good friend wouldn’t fuck their best friend’s crush, would they?
Patrick tries to keep it from Art, but he never can. Art hears him fucking his fist in the shower after you’ve all been at the pool. Listens to the wet sounds of Patrick’s lubed up hand gliding along his dick until he gets frustrated and says, “Art, get over here.” Art takes over with his fist, with his mouth. Almost lets Patrick cum before he pulls away. “Admit you want her first.”
Patrick just covers his face with his arm, groans out a pained, “Art—“ Because he’s killing him. He’s actually fucking killing him. When did the Art he met at the tennis academy, the one who sang in the choir for his grandma’s church and wouldn’t even swear until Patrick goaded him to, become this mean. “She’s my sister.”
Art grins. “Your step sister, who you want to fuck.” Patrick doesn’t get to cum until he admits it. He’s rewarded by Art’s hot, perfect mouth and the rare opportunity to cum down his throat. For being a good sport.
He thinks that’s it, you both accepted it, you’ll both just get it over with and fuck, and hopefully still include him since he was kind enough to encourage it. But you don’t. There’s still sweet longing glances and lingering touches. He walks in on you and Patrick giggling in your room, tossing sour patch kids back and forth and seeing who can catch the most in your mouths. Sits on the bed when you curl up and rest your head in Patrick’s lap, while he pets your hair and lets his fingers trace along your face like a boyfriend would.
You’re so lonely at Stanford. Patrick’s gone to god knows where, playing in low level tournaments, losing and sulking without you to comfort him. He calls you almost every night, and you ask him about if he’s seeing anyone. He just kind of goes quiet and says, “C’mon.” You know how he feels, he knows you feel the same way, and that you’re both horribly, painfully stuck.
You show up to Art’s dorm teary eyed and needing comfort. He misses Patrick too, you know he does. He’s the only one who understands. It’s two in the morning and Art’s all disheveled from sleep as he opens the door. His eyes widen— you’re just wearing one of Pat’s shirts, and jesus, you can’t just walk around a college campus like that. He ushers you in, closes the door behind him.
“I miss Pat,” is all you say, and suddenly your lips are on his and you’re tripping over clothes and bags in the dark room as he guides you onto his bed. He’s a little slow, still waking up, but his hands are warm and feel a little rough like Patrick’s do.
His phone vibrates on the bedside table, but he silences it with the press of a button. “Sorry,” he mumbles, leans forward and kisses you slow and hungry. His tongue moves against yours as he slides a hand into your panties, rubs at your swollen clit so you moan into his mouth.
“You’re so wet,” he groans. You nod, grind down against his fingers. “For me or for Patrick?”
You whine, can’t even look at him. “Both.” It’s shameful to admit it, that you’d been wet the entire time that you and Patrick had been catching up on the phone, that you’d thought about slipping your hands into your panties and touching yourself to his voice. But that was… you couldn’t do that. But Art could help.
He slips your panties down your thighs, eases one finger inside your pussy, then another. He thrusts them slow and deep, brings pretty mewls from your lips. “What do you need, hm?”
“Patrick,” you whine.
He nods, noses along the side of your jaw, and sucks on your throat. “I know, baby. Pat’s not here. You want me to make you feel better? You can pretend I’m him.”
So you do. You beg for it, for Art to fuck you. He knows you’re not just thinking about him, that you’re across an ocean with Patrick just as much as you’re in his bed. So sweet beneath him, crying out for him, for Patrick in equal measure. Moaning about how you want your stepbrother’s cock, about how much you miss Patrick, begging for Art to fuck you harder.
At a hostel in Germany, Patrick just has to listen to it.

One Piece Chapter 1126 commentary
Fresh spoilers under cut!
Yes, Luffy, you're right. Anyone would be curious after 100 years. I just can't with Luffy sometimes. I still wonder if this serves as foreshadowing that Luffy will become immortal smh.
Such cheerful idiots. They remind me so much of Zoro and Sanji, and they also served as parallel to them all the way back in Little Garden too.
Just look at them. They love each other so much, my god. I guess in One Piece, fighting each other constantly means you just love them so much you can't refuse any opportunity to interact, geez.
Also it's so sweet that Dory and Broggy still keep it a secret that their weapons broke down because they helped Strawhats leave the island. They will take that secret to their graves, won't they.
This is so wholesome. Kuma's consciousness might be barely there, he can't even speak, but Bonney knows it's still her dad and wants to just spend time with him together <3
I admit this hit me right in the feels. Bartolomeo knows that if he asked for help, Luffy would run miles to him, but he just won't because he doesn't want to be a burden.
I don't think I ever saw Shanks doing that expression before... I wonder if Bartolomeo's words just hit too close to home.
Also hi Shanks, finally I get to see you more often than once every 200 chapters, about the effing time. Don't spoil me too much or I might expect seeing you more often from now on, and I'm not ready for the disappointment if that's not the case!
"Softer than I expected", oh, Bartolomeo, you have NO IDEA. He's so right though.
Oh. My. God. When was the last time I saw you smile like that, Shanks?? Must be a thousand years ago! All the way back when Ace visited you and thanked you for saving Luffy's life. And before that? Must be in East Blue with Luffy. It was way too long. Please smile more often, you doofus! Bartolomeo, honestly thank you for exisiting. You made this man smile like this again <3 also you're a chad Barto, please, you're great.
Also Shanks, you have no idea how many people are doting on Luffy! Lots of very nice people. I wish you could have met Law as well...
And boom, another young pirate crew got eradicated. Seeing Shanks reactions in this chapter though makes me more convinced that Kid will be fine and alive too. Narrator in One Piece is so unreliable lol.
Speaking of narrator in One Piece... who is it actually? Who is commenting the events for us? Is it you, Morgans?? Admit it, you stupid bird!!
I don't believe you even for a second Kuzan. Not after that trick you pulled off with Saul. You clearly did everything you could to SAVE Garp's life there. He was in such a bad shape too, after all. Garp's rep is insane btw. And he looks a lot like Ace locked away forever ago in Impel Down...
Big bro and Big Sis? Caribou, do you mean Devon and Augur by that? LOL. Or does Caribou actually have a big sis??
Hello, new adventure of Strawhats in a Lego land! God, how much I envy them! I also want to explore a lego land!
Okay, so what happened here. Did they shrink and now they're dolls in a lego house? Because this is not Elbaf. It's not like I thought it will be Elbaf anyway, I read a good theory that Elbaf won't happen yet, we're entering floating storyline arc. It might be wrong, because it predicted Strawhats somehow landing in G-14 base (which is supposed to be somewhat near to Egghead, that's where the kids from Punk Hazard are kept, as well as many Sword members are part of it).
But let's explore the possible explanations that were given to us in this chapter alone:
Robin's idea is a funny one. But Robin's ideas and visions are always wrong, that's like the repeated gag in One Piece lol. So I'm not placing a bet on that (also what sort of fish has a lego mansion inside it's stomach).
"There's a chance it'll make you hallucinate". Interesting. And it's called Green Fairy huh. We see Sanji, Zoro, Nami and Usopp getting seriously drunk with it. Coincidentally, those are the Strawhats that are currently missing in action (+Luffy and possibly Chopper as well?). Actually, the whole Sunny is missing. What could make a whole ship just disappear? I mean, it was even tied up to the Giants ship, wasn't it?
Yep, seems it was. Probably using Sunny's anchor. Which means, if a fish actually swallowed them up, it would be dangling on that anchor. But anyway I didn't buy Robin's comment anyway, no one should lol.
So someone had to undo that anchor for the ship to leave... and here's my most logical conclusion to that: it was Luffy. Luffy doesn't like to drink. For some reason he abducted them somewhere? I mean it's not exactly something impossible for Luffy to do. The crew also somehow pins it down on Luffy, just look at this:
Or, it was someone else capable of stealing a whole ship. There's one problem with this idea though. We were just watching reactions from folks all around the world about Vegapunk's broadcast. We basically know where everyone is and what they're doing (which excludes possibility that it was for example a prank from Shanks), besides literally a few exceptions, like most of Luffy's grand fleet. I can't help but notice Law is still missing in action too.
Right before the environment is revealed to us, Nami comments this must be all alcohol's fault. And that's indeed my guess on what's happening: Nami is experiencing a hallucination from drinking too much of Green Fairy. Which means she isn't a reliable narrator right now and what we're seeing isn't 100% accurate. I still envy her though. I also want to be in a Legoland <3
There's also the chapter's title: 落とし前 (otoshimae) which means: payback, return of favour, taking responsibility, but the most known association is with the yakuza's custom of cutting off a finger as apology for making a blunder. We saw one of such examples happen in this chapter: Bartolomeo had to suck it up because he messed with Shanks and Shanks couldn't let it slide.
I admit I thought it's gonna be a red herring plotline, but Oda actually delivered on that promise! I'm glad I was wrong, ha! This was delicious. Bartolomeo drinking a fake poison to show his loyalty to Strawhats was absolutely fantastic. And Shanks testing him in such a way is so disgusting but also awesome. He cares so much to make sure people around Luffy are actually good people... Shanks and Bartolomeo's encounter is basically two biggest fanboys of Luffy meeting up and it's gotta make this my most favourite chapter for a while now <3
Next, we could probably see "taking responsibility" also in what happened at the very end of the chapter. Strawhats got literally drunk, yeah, so they're literally taking responsibility now for it. But it could also suggest someone kidnapped them to either 1. give them payback 2. repay a favour (despite the ominous line at the end of the chapter, I think it might be the latter actually. But we will see). Wouldn't be the first time Oda uses subtle hints like that to let us know what's actually going on.
There's probably a few more tie-ins to the title in this chapter. Dory and Broggy still gonna continue their duel (it's also taking responsibility, right? Once said words can't be taken back), Bonney and Kuma (she took him with her so she's now taking care of him instead of feasting with others), Blackbeard and Kuzan (Kuzan kinda took responsibility over what happened and made up for the losses when he took Garp hostage). I'm not sure how accurate it is though, because I though otoshimae is related to "making up for some wrongdoing or a mistake", not just taking responsibility for your own actions (or collectively for the whole group). But it might be both, I guess?
But then we can't ignore a tiny callback to that line Zoro says in Water 7 here: "we need to take responsibility for accepting Robin into the crew and that's why now we have to decide: is she a crewmate or an enemy?" The word he uses back then is also "otoshimae".
I'm so into this story's development right now, I literally can't wait for the next chapter! I liked the lore in Egghead, but futuristic islands are just not my type of thing in general. Whatever is happening now, I'm so into it already haha.
#one piece#shanks#bartolomeo#one piece 1126#one piece spoilers#not going to Elbaf yet :D#and my bet is: not any time soon either!#but Elbaf will come finally#one piece chapter commentary

💳💥💳💥💳 THE SYSTEM WITH A METALHEAD I BEG OF YOU!! ( if comfy ofc )
Like short 5'2-5'3 reader who looks SCARY as shit and wears all black+tatted but is super cutesy until someone says the wrong shit and they get absolutely insane?
feel like steven would be like raging heart eyes
( maybe smutty maybe not either wayyy..)
- 🌑
Steven Grant
Steven was scared of you at first, that's for sure. The all black and scary look definitely worked on him
It wouldn't be until you approached him that he realized you weren't going to bite him
He finds the difference between the two of you funny, positively.
To me, he seems more like a listener of ABBA and The B-52, those kind of older songs that are more up beat. Something that some suburban dad definitely has on vinyl
I firmly believe that Steven fucking loves the B-52s for some reason, he just has those vibes
Softer type of music, you know? Definitely not metal
But he does enjoy that you're kind and really nice rather than acting the part of how you look
But the one time when you two were out and someone insulted you both and you proceeded to yell at them and cuss them out was a day that he thinks about a lot. You weren't even yelling at them for insulting you, you just tore them a new one because they insulted him
He felt something that day, and he's not saying that he wants you to yell at him, but if you bossed him around a little then he's going to do it with a tent in his pants
He's too embarrassed to admit that but it's defiantly something that's there and you'll catch on someday
Back to the actual topic though, Steven doesn't like metal but he supports you liking it since it makes you happy
Would attend a concert with you but he'd have ear plugs in so that the music doesn't hurt his ears or stress him out
Also, you will have to leave him in the back because he's not going in the mosh pit, he would not survive. I'm sorry but he's not built for that
Marc Spector
Okay, Marc doesn't really listen to metal, he's not an avid metal listener. But I'm sure he's listened to a few songs and knows the more mainstream bands
He thinks you're cool though. Similar to my HCs for them with a goth partner, he finds it fascinating how you don't care how people perceive you and just be yourself. You're happy and he uses that as inspiration to be himself too
Marc would listen to metal music with you if it comes up, maybe you expand his knowledge of the genre
Do I think he'd handle a mosh pit? No, I think it would stress him out too much. Too much is happening and it freaks him out. Loves seeing you having fun though so go mosh for him
Marc also respects the fact that you're still polite and not true to how people think you would be, but 100% if you tell someone off then he's all for it. You tell 'em!
Since I went on a whole side tangent on Steven's music tastes, it's only right I do it for Marc
Marc sort of shares the same taste as Steven where he listens to songs that were around when they were younger. He's a classics kind of guy. He likes it when he hears people from back then on the radio
This man refuses to leave the 80's and 90's music scene. You will have to pry it from him in the field of reeds
Jake Lockley
Jake is such a "I love all genres" guy, he listens to everything and finds something to like in it. Even country, yeah sure modern country sucks but older ones are the ones he talks about when e talks about country music
So yeah, Jake definitely likes metal and can get into it. So feel free to play it around him
He also thinks you're cool and loves your whole look. Buys a shirt to match
100% would love to see you tear someone a new one so long as they deserve it. This man is an enabler, he's in the back cheering you on
Also, if you ask him to go to a concert with you, he will say yes so fast
Jake would survive the mosh pit, he would thrive
It lets him let out some stuff that he's been holding back and energy that he can't really put anywhere else
Honestly Jake would be so clearly into your whole metalhead life. He thinks it's hot. He finds it sexy. There's something about the loud music and look that does something for him and he's not going to hide that
Honestly, yell at him in bed, it'll be good foreplay if you're down

Pet! I saw that Addicted Heroin Thailand is now available on youtube, so I rushed over there to watch the first two eps with your handy Guide To The Cut Scenes to help fill in the gaps. I don't know if you were planning on doing the same for ep 2 but I'd be eternally grateful of you do because there were at least three moments in the preview for ep 2 that weren't included in the actual ep (like, WTF?!).
Anyway, I love this show already. I love the green-soled shoes. I love the dog motif that keeps showing up on Hero's clothes (that Poppy's mum also tried to give to Poppy, and which he refused). And I love Hero. His whole unhinged-ass self who is only too happy to admit to the crazy shit he's done. Honestly, it's going to be DELICIOUS when they get together because as mad as Poppy (quite rightly) gets over Hero, he's going to love that stupid mutt. 😍
Daddy! I was planning on doing a cut scenes post for the second episode, but life was chaotic this week, so I'm getting to it a few days late. But I'm glad you noticed that Blue Boy Hero and his shirts have a dog motif because I hadn't.
And that you think Green Guy Poppy will love his unhinged Golden Retriever boyfriend since Hero is already throwing all the blue his way by looking over Poppy with the blue writing (and hearts) on the whiteboard.
And covering him in a blue blanket.
But I'm showing up for Yellow Yal Tiger and Pink Person Only because I enjoyed the actors in Hit Bite Love.
Which is why I'm thrilled that they were the first cut scene!
Addicted Heroin (Th) Cut Scenes and Colors - Episode 2
Right after the library scene with Only and Tiger, the girl who kept asking Tiger about Only and what he likes and dislikes actually bought Only a HUGE package of tissue and left it on Only's desk, which Tiger noticed when he entered the room before anyone else. However, Only thinks his "Kitty" (which is his nickname for Tiger) bought the tissue for him since only Tiger was in the room.
Only tells Tiger he could've just said he likes him instead of buying him such a weird gift, but Tiger is appalled by the suggestion and tells Only he didn't buy it, but if Only wants to believe he did AND thinks the gift is strange, then Tiger is taking the gift back to use for himself (smart kid!).
Only gets playfully defensive and snatches the tissue back while telling Tiger he likes his gift and wants to keep it. (They are my everything!)
Second cut scene:
After Poppy is kidnapped meets his stepfather, we move to the scene where Hero is wrestling everyone outside of school for shits and giggles and keeps beating them all. Nobody else wants to fight him and as he continues to challenge more of the boys, Poppy finally accepts and starts to wrestle Hero, and Poppy quickly and effortlessly takes Hero down.
And since you read my first post of the cut scenes from episode one, you know Poppy had quickly and effortlessly overthrown Hero before even though it seemed like Hero had the upper hand.
Third cut scene:
This adorable scene comes before Green Guy Poppy in his green shirt learns how to get tough stains out of clothes, which is a valuable lesson if he is going to be gay (and do crime) because after he demands Hero gives him the shirt to clean and says he'll teach Hero handwriting lessons, Hero comes to the store later that night for lessons.
And the blue pen boy and green bracelet guy get much closer.
Poppy asks if Hero hates his stepbrother a lot, and Hero admits he has never even met the kid but hates being compared to him. Hero decides that since they are opening up and getting closer, they should open some beers too. AND THEY DRINK!
Poppy tells Hero his mom is alive but married some rich dude, and he understands why she left them because money does make everything better. Hero says "same" since his new stepmom seems to have married his dad for that reason and decides to give Poppy the green-soled shoes again! Hero puts the shoes on a little tipsy Poppy and I noticed the eyelets on the shoe are green and the laces are ombré green while Hero's shoes have blue on them!
So Hero tells Poppy to keep his old shoes but wear the new ones and a little tipsy Poppy leans into Hero in a move that Only performed on Tiger earlier (and we see the green and the blue in the background with a little light of love!!!!)
Then BAM! Poppy wakes up with his second tough stain that he is going to have learn how to get out of clothing.
And that's it for cut scenes (I hope!).
Next week, Hero is getting to work slapping his and Poppy's color-coded mops together, which isn't a euphemism for sex but actual work because Hero now has a job working with Poppy!
And Hero is hellbent on pushing past all of Poppy's boundaries as Poppy tries to put up more divides between them.
Also . . .
I GET MORE COLOR-CODED BOYS IN LOVE!
#addicted heroin th#addicted heroin the series#color coded boys in love#the colors mean things#uncut version#episode 2#I think I got them all#I don't understand how some of these were cut#like the drinking scene is important

I was going through your spreadsheet and realized that even though cameron confides in and seeks advice from chsse a lot, he doesn't? ever? he never confides in her at all, not even about his father in cursed.
To be fair, this is very much a Chase Problem: he doesn't confide in anyone. House spends most of Cursed trying to manipulate him (House's words) into opening up, too, and Chase does a good enough job ignoring that that House eventually just sits him down for a Conversation.
Which starts with this little exchange:
CHASE: Why does everybody need to know my business? HOUSE: People like talking about people. Makes us feel superior. Makes us feel in control. And sometimes, for some people, knowing some things makes them care. CHASE: I’d tell you my dad left, my mum drank herself to death… you gonna care about me more? [sarcastic] HOUSE: Cameron would. Me, I just like knowing stuff.
(A little earlier:
HOUSE: Yeah, it’s better. I’ll get to see his face when he reads his dad’s obituary. ROWAN: It’s not your business.
)
It's not your business. Chase doesn't care that House wants to know, that Cameron would want to know. His tone is defiant: he knows House wouldn't care more. House implicitly agrees.
But again, this is very much a Chase Thing. We see it again in The Mistake: at any point — when House is yelling at him for not asking Kayla follow up questions, when Stacy is asking questions six months later, when Cuddy reveals Chase is getting sued punitive damages — he could have said honestly, she came in the second I found out my dad died. Instead Chase sat on that for six months. House demands to know why Chase screwed up? Nothing. His job at stake? Nothing. House has to force Chase's hand by telling him he already knows to get Chase to share his business and save his job.
It happens again! By the way! You could make a case that Chase's Boundaries Era is tied to this; he no longer feels like he owes House anything and is keeping his distance. We see it all the way in S8 with Chase, with how Chase refuses to admit he's upset and struggling with stuff, how he brushes off the entire team with stock phrases ("Just knowing you're there for me is enough"). We see it post divorce, as he lies in the break room rubbing his ring finger and then blows off every attempt by his coworkers to talk to him about it, denies he cares, and then punches House.
HOUSE: So you busted my nose to keep people off your back. CHASE: Pretty much. HOUSE: Making people even more worried about you. CHASE: Maybe. But at least they're not talking to me about it.
Chase does not like people in his business.
And, of course, tying it all back to the note that Cameron confides in him but he never does her: this very much goes to Dibala as well. He spends weeks avoiding her, avoiding the ICU, insisting he's fine and nothing is wrong and he has it handled. Chase does have reason to doubt Cameron would support him, but it's also excessive: we do see that she's willing to give him a real shot when she does learn about the murder, and he knows very well she's a good person. Shame is probably a factor. But so is, you know. Chase doesn't talk about stuff. Chase tries (and fails) to handle his own business. He's better at being honest with House, probably because House doesn't care — House doesn't pity him, House is honest and frank and just wants to know, knowledge is a neutral thing. Chase doesn't want people to care about him more, to pity him and feel bad and offer advice. Even when he really, really needs it.
In fact, even some of the rare times he does open up — in S8 — he's sort of resentful of it. He trauma dumps onto Adams, who is appropriately shocked and throws back sympathy ("It must have meant a lot to your mother and sister you were there for them;" "I never knew,"), only for Chase to curtly reply "I know, that's why I told you." He barely manages to admit to Park he was jealous of her family. Chase isn't totally repressed or anything, but when it comes to being vulnerable, with allowing himself to rely on others… he doesn't. He would rather ruin his career and his marriage every time.
He's not totally repressed. He's just fine with most emotions; he's an easy crier (a fun touch for someone as private as him; I bet he finds it embarrassing). He's quite friendly and quite physical, he's able to express himself usually, without much fuss. But every time, when something big enough or scary enough comes along, Chase shuts down completely. He doesn't want people in his business. (You gotta wonder if and when and how he did tell Cameron about his dad.)
And of course, I'm tying this all around: This is why his friendship with Thirteen is so incredible. Because she's the one he opens up to: not all the time, not all the way. But it's her he tries to talk about his divorce with, trying to figure out why Cameron left after weeks of not talking about her at all. Chase and Thirteen have a couple other little conversations about the divorce, actually, like the one he admits he couldn't handle an open marriage, that he was jealous of House for years. Chase tells Thirteen about Dibala, making her the only person he's willingly told besides Cameron. And what took him weeks of guilt and cost him his marriage in one case, he uses to try and comfort and help Thirteen. It's only a few minor examples, but they're all we get. Maybe because Chase and Thirteen have very parallel traumas (and because she also hates opening up and talking about herself), but they're blinding exceptions. Mostly, Chase doesn't want people in his business.

Hot take for the Robinwest nation
I think the scene in season 1 where she gives him the puppy eyes could have been more interesting if he did stick to his firm NO. He storms off and that’s the end of that.
But what if that was just the set up?
Cut to the Robinsons scrambling to figure out how to make it work with just John’s weight in the shuttle, and Maureen is stressed but determined in her calculations, and Judy is clearly considering going with her dad when-
Enter Don West, clad in a bright orange spacesuit, swaggering into the passenger seat of the shuttle saying, “If anyone asks, I got paid for this.”
“Don?” Maureen gasps.
“A lot,” Don carries on, settling into the co-pilot station. “And if I die up there I better get a statue. My own holiday on Alpha Centauri.”
And Maureen is smiling in disbelief and John is skeptical but at a loss, and Penny and Will are relieved. Don sees all of that but he hasn’t looked at Judy. Not yet.
Thing is he didn’t see her behind him in that room when Maureen and John tried to sell him on the idea, and he told them to send him a postcard.
He’d said no because it is his life on the line too, he likes being alive, and doing the right thing does really suck.
So he doesn’t look at Judy right now as he doesn’t know what he’s going to find behind those big brown eyes that previously beseeched him to help. The ones he couldn’t stop thinking about later.
She had looked so devastated by his refusal, so vulnerable, that he is honestly not sure risking his life is enough to get her to talk to him again.
Probably for the best.
He flipped that tanker for her and he lost the money, then they lost Evan eventually. It was all for nothing. From where he’s standing, doing things for Judy doesn’t help him in any way, and that’s a problem because he can’t seem to stop. It’s entirely irrational.
He locks eyes with her later on, after various trials of his recovery time in test launches. He’s even more sluggish with each trial but it can work. They can do it. Don can’t tell what Judy is thinking and she looks away just as quickly as he does. But one thing he knows for certain is how she looks when she’s pissed and this — is not that.
Now they’re about to leave and Don needs an excuse to be near Judy one last time. Debbie clucks beside him and Don figures if he dies up there with John, he should make sure the lucky chicken is with someone else, maybe bring them a bit of extra luck like she did for him.
“I don’t want your chicken,” Judy says, when she realizes what Don has for her.
He thought she looked almost eager when he called out for her (it was endearing, really), and the way she rolls his eye at him right now is—that’s what it is.
That’s what does it for him.
The reason he’s risking even more than he already has is not because Maureen asked or because John needs someone else in the shuttle.
“And I don’t want to hurtle through space in a tin can,” Don replied, “but here we are.”
She doesn’t seem mad at him, not anymore, and that’s good enough for him. If he goes out doing something for her, it’s good enough for him.
He’s a decent person who has been dealt a bad hand and it’s still so awkward for someone like him to admit he’s a smuggler—he never liked that word—and the thing about Judy is, when she looks at him, it’s like she can see who he actually is underneath everything.
That’s why all her appeals to his better nature always succeed. It’s how the prior caught-off guard No eventually turned into a Yes.
It’s not just his life on the line, it’s her life too, and everyone else’s lives. He wants to reaffirm that he is a better man than everyone thinks, that they are past the money.
“Bye Debbie,” Don says gently.
“Don?” Judy calls after him just as he turns to leave. Her eyes are different, almost shimmering with emotion. Doing that thing from earlier but for a different reason. “Hey, try not to die up there, okay? Make sure you fight.”
There it is. Now he knows for certain they’re back on good terms. Beneath the hefty space suit, a flutter blooms in his chest.
Judy is preparing herself for the possibility that they may never see each other again. Don gives her a smile. He wants her to remember him well.
“Do my best. See you on the other side.” He winks at her and departs, hiding his own bittersweet smile.
. . .
When the shuttle explodes as it hurtles through the atmosphere Judy lets out a scream before she even knows it, and her eyes fill with tears for her Dad and for Don, because Don didn’t want to do this. She tried so hard to convince him and she thought she failed until he came back and strapped into the copilot seat.
And now he’s gone. He’s dead because of her. How can she live with that?
. . .
But then when she hears his sweetly bruised voice through the comm, thick with emotion, her eyes fill with tears again. “Are you crying?”
“No?” Don says.
“Yes you are!” Judy laughs and cries a little too, already thinking about when she’s going to see him again.
“They’re happy tears,” John confirms.
Don is so heroic. He made it. Judy is overjoyed and she can’t wait to hear his voice his person, to see the crinkles near his eyes when his smiles begin to form.
. . .
Don shuffles a few paces behind John Robinson. He knows the family is going to be all over the man, so he figures he’ll just give them some space. Although he’s been thinking about Judy he can’t let that show in front of everyone, and so when he becomes aware of her presence, Don tries his best to maneuver around everyone and maybe go see about Debbie.
But Judy pulls away from John and comes to him. Her eyes are full of admiration and pride and relief. It’s crazy how one person can make him feel like he’s a hero among men.
“Hey Doc,” Don says, watching as her arms extend. He catches her quickly, glad to see someone is happy to see him, and not just anyone — her. “That’s right Judy, I am amazing.”
Judy laughs, her arms tightening around him, basking in his warmth. “I’m glad you’re okay,” she says softly.
“Yeah. Me too.” Don pulls back to see that something is different about Judy’s demeanor — like calling her princess might do some things to her. “You good?”
Judy nods. “Never better.”
#robinwest#don x judy#Judy Robinson#Don West#lost in space fic#Don West girlies (gn) how we feeling?#I was thinking about that scene a few days ago and was honestly going to make this only a post about an alternate take on it#genuinely don’t know why it turned into a one shot but here we are 😂#despite how much I’m screaming about Star Wars the bad batch Crosshair these two are forever in my mind and heart ok 🥹🥹#yooo also I was watching Arcane for the first time and there is a very hunky Latino guy in there who looks just like Don West#I was actually screaming and shaking because he’s just too beautiful?? his name is Jayce??#anyways robinwest forever

hi!! i hope you don't mind me dropping in but i read your marvel headcanons and then read your fic with marvel's sister (and loved it!!!) and i was wondering if you had any thoughts on his sister/the rest of his family after he died and during the rebellion?
thank you so much for this ask omg??? i love talking about the sanfords so much you have no idea. also i’m so glad you enjoyed reading my thoughts on marvel. he’s such a blank slate of a character that i feel like people just skip over him even though you could really do anything with him. also also thank you so much for reading the fic about marvel and marvel’s sister (here for anyone who hasn’t read it!) i’m so glad you enjoyed it!!
okay now into the actual hcs lol.
(little note: this includes all of members of the sanford family alive during the rebellion, not the 75th. amethyst lives through the 75th, but does not live to see the rebellion. just a btw so no one gets confused!)
brilliant sanford —
brill and marvel were not close. he always agreed with what his mother said about training and marvel never felt safe talking to him.
that said, he was affected when he died. after all, marvel was his son. he had raised him.
but brill had never second guessed the system he grew up within (“kiss the capitol’s ass or die” basically). he didn't magically start thinking the games were immoral. his brother had died in the games and he still didn’t think the games were horrible and unjust. his son being killed did not make him have a sudden change in perspective.
brill basically had a whole “there will be no talk of treason under my roof” talk with his wife and daughter and pearl was like “your roof? this is my house”. so yeah, lots of fighting and arguments over meals in the Sanford’s home during the period after the 74th games ending to the victory tour.
he doesn't side with the rebels during the rebellion. he doesn’t side with the capitol loyalists either, though, which is bigger than him just siding with the rebels honestly. the sanfords were big capitol supporters during the Dark Days. brill had grown up learning about it. he knew what was expected of him. he just didn’t do it.
he never publicly sided with either side, but brill gave his life to save his wife and daughter from a capitol bomb. in a way, that was him choosing his side. and it wasn’t the capitol.
bonus hc for brilliant: he used to watch his brother’s games. not the actual games, but the interviews and the clips of the reapings. he can’t bring himself to watch the actual games. he never has. amethyst convinced the capitol officials wanting brill’s opinions on his brother that brill was deathly ill. in truth, it wasn’t all that far off; he refused to go out anywhere and was bedridden for weeks. maybe he did have some rebellious thoughts during that time. he never admitted to them.
pearl nelson —
pearl nelson has been pissed for years. her son’s death is really just the final straw for her.
she doesn’t speak to amethyst for months after it. if she has to, she tells brill to tell amethyst for her. brill finds it ridiculous but pearl looks about one ill timed comment away from killing someone, so he does it anyway.
important member in the rebellion in One, especially relating to the civilian aspect of it. she has been smuggling information and rebel plans since the late 40s, when she was still a teenager.
she’s less active in the public speaking and publishing aspect of panem’s history restoration but she does occasionally speak out, usually anytime anyone even tries to say something bad about her dad.
she never expected to live to see a free panem. she had hoped, but hoping and experiencing it are two very different things. there’s quite a lot more healing and therapy than she had expected too.
she starts a tiny garden off of her house after the war, since her first one had been bombed. the tiny garden quickly grows much, much larger as more people move and relocate and add plants and flowers and trees to the garden as they go. after pearl passes away, the garden is renamed to “Nelson Park” and each bench in the park has a plaque honoring a war hero during the rebellion. the fountain in the middle of the park is surrounded by twelve plaques for each victor from One.
bonus hc for pearl: she’s the only one of the sanford extended family to never go to the Academy. argent refused to send her, and pearl never showed any interest in winning the hunger games either.
paris sanford —
she had to go on the run after the 75th for obvious reasons (she had known about the rebel plan and had been involved in it as one of One’s mentors).
she also had to smuggle herself on a train out of the capitol by hiding in a fruit crate to Six and running into the freezing cold forest directly off of the district. everyone’s convinced she’s dead. she’s not.
she knows peacekeepers are on her trail and has to hide her footsteps and never stay in the same place for more than a few hours at most. she sometimes ventures back into Six and hides in bars on the edge of the border just to throw them off. it’s also a good way of figuring out what’s going on with the rebellion. it’s how she figures out who is in Thirteen and who is in capitol custody.
it’s also how she meets delta lincoln, the mother of james lincoln, Six’s first victor. she’s in her seventies now, but she helps the rebellion in anyway she can. through her, paris is able to continue helping the rebellion from afar.
she’s one of my favorites and i always like to imagine she’s one of the few Coin didn’t calculate in the victor’s purge (or deliberately left out) and she did survive. but that’s just my opinion lol.
bonus hc for paris: she was never supposed to go into the games. paris was amazing in all subjects at the Academy except for any kind of combat. she excelled in educational classes; sword fighting… not so much. because of this, she was supposed to be drawn out after she turned fifteen. it didn’t work out, as paris was reaped, by “coincidence”, and One’s designated volunteer that year got the memo that she wasn’t supposed to volunteer for paris. no one expected her to come back, and yet.
harrison sanford —
harrison never agreed with sending marvel to the Academy early. he genuinely fought amethyst on it, but amy is about as movable as mount everest when she sets her mind on something. unfortunately for both of them, harrison would rather die than back down from anyone. they have a lot of arguments.
harrison sides with the rebels. he’s executed by peacekeepers in One’s square. his last words were as follows: “i know what side my grandson would have been on. it’s not the capitol’s.”
bonus hc for harrison: his wife’s name was arabela alderidge. she passed away during the 60s (lot of victors from One were dying in the 60s ngl lol).
sapphire sanford —
after pearl, sapphire is probably the closest to punching someone in the face if they say one more thing about her brother.
she refuses to go to the Academy after his death. paris starts homeschooling her (since a sanford going to public school would probably cause deaths in One).
sapphire and marvel were close. like really close. their large age differences just made sapphire think that her brother was the coolest person to ever exist when she was younger and that admiration never really went away, especially because she never went through the bitchy teenager phase with him.
paris had to go on the run after the 75th, so pearl and sapphire held the rebellion in One strong with the miners and various rebellious nobles.
she survives the rebellion along with her mother. she never stops talking about marvel during the rebuilding process and after that. she makes sure that no one in the entire country of panem will ever forget the name of the boy they killed. she talks about what he was like on talk shows and writes books and articles about what growing up being taught how honorable going into the hunger games was and how that affected her in the long run.
bonus hc for sapphire: she’s the only biological sanford born during the hunger games era who didn’t complete the test at the Academy at twelve since she wasn’t attending classes at the time.
reasons for lack of some characters:
alister sanford dies during the 46th hunger games (won by emmelyn “lyme” gray of D2). amethyst is devastated, especially because it’s the same year hermes died, but she’s one of those people that just ignores all of their pain and puts all of their energy into something else to help keep their mind off of it to the point that it’s unhealthy. in this case, it was the Academy.
bonus hc for alister: he’s one of the few career victors who has never worked or trained anyone at the academy. it isn’t his thing. never was.
amethyst hansen dies right after katniss blows up the 75th hunger games. like, literally right after. harrison went to her house to talk to her about katniss literally blowing up the arena and she’s just dead. and he’s like “damn now i need someone else to talk to.”
bonus hc for amethyst: she doesn’t mentor tributes. ever. she doesn’t have the patience needed for it. she’s much better at training them because at least than she can yell at them.
sylvia sanford dies during the fall of the 72nd (won by cassandra mcpearson of D2).
bonus hc for sylvia: zircon was her only successful tribute, and he sees her as a sort of mother figure to him. she sees him as a son after her adopted daughter died in the 50th.
again thank you so much for this ask omg??? i love absolutely any excuse to talk about the sanfords.
#dayne answers#dayne talks#thg#the hunger games#marvel sanford#character: paris sanford#character: harrison sanford#character: sapphire sanford#character: sylvia sanford#character: amethyst hansen#character: alister sanford#character: brilliant sanford#character: pearl nelson#sorry that this became so long lol#<- literally say this on every single one of my posts#hope you enjoy reading my many hcs and again thank you for the ask <3#dayne’s thg victors

Right Where You Left Me
For Your Eyes Only
PAUL POV
The feeling of longing aches in my chest. God, I fucking miss Saskia.
I imagine her. Standing in front of me, touching me, telling me to breathe. To work through the steps Sam had given me to control my emotions. I can’t be losing it like this when she's not here, it just means I really don’t have everything under control and the prospect of hurting her again.
Another bout of anger courses through me.
She was so easy to forgive and forget what happened. To let me get close to her again, and wrap her in my arms as if I was the safest place on earth for her.
I wasn’t even angry. I mean not really, I’ve seen her in Jacobs mind. Laughing, working on those stupid bikes, even confiding in him when it should have been me. I should have been there all along. I could have been if I had just locked eyes with her sooner. Sam and his fucking rules ruined that, but his fears became reality all because of a simple touch. Jacobs hand on my imprint.
She won’t make me angry, I don’t think it’s even possible. She's so smart, and kind. Always thinking before she speaks, unlike me. Her way with words is something I envy. It was so easy for her, or at least it sounded easy. I can’t even tell her how I feel most days. The big, bad wolf with emotional baggage he can’t control. Pathetic.
I should have told her I loved her months ago, when the thought first crossed my mind. She was the one, I knew it even before I phased.
Anger, jealousy, envy are all things I know I feel too much of, I know they can trigger an unwanted shift.
My biggest fear is feeling too much of anything around her now, and if that means denying her the one thing she’s been aching for, then so be it. Though I can’t bring myself to admit that to her.Her gentle touch feels like electricity coursing through my veins, even if it's just to comfort me. One simple rush of excitement could ruin everything.
“You okay, son?” My dad asks, jolting me from my inner turmoil.
I grumble in response, not in the mood to divulge into conversation with anyone but Saskia.
He doesn’t get the hint as he asks me another question, “When does Saskia get back?”
“Sunday.” I mutter. It's been just over twenty four hours since she had been gone and I was losing my composure, fast.
“Maybe give her a call.” My dad suggests and I push my chair away from the table to stand up. Seems like everyone thinks Saskia’s the solution to my problem, and maybe she is, but I refuse to burden her with my issues. She has enough going on as it is. We’re finally back to a good place between us, all the normalcy we had before I had phased returning. Like nothing had changed. If I lose it she may not forgive me this time, and disappointing Saskia is not something I can handle right now.
“I’ve got it under control.” I say slowly clenching my fist at the mental image of her frowning because I phased accidentally, again.
“Sure looks like it.” He gripes causing an involuntary growl to escape my throat as I leave the kitchen. Can’t he see I’m trying?!
As soon as I reach my room, I call her number. I don’t care if she doesn't pick up and I have to listen to her voice message. I just need to hear her voice.
“Hey, Paul” She answered after two rings, I could practically hear the smile on her face.
“Hey, babe,” I try to hide the strain in my voice.
“Is everything okay?” She asked, trying to speak louder than the background noise. Saskia seems to alway know when somethings up, even when I think I’m shielding her from the problem.
I let out a small laugh, “Yeah, I was just calling to check on you..”
“Oh, well, everythings fine here,” she says, before breathily mentioning, “I miss you.”
I could feel the relief fill my senses knowing I wasn’t the only one feeling this way, sometimes it feels like the imprint only affects me. Leaning back against my bed frame, I tell her honestly, “Miss you too.”
“Hey, listen, we’re just about to head to my aunts for dinner. But I promise to call you after, okay?” Saskia promised, sounding distracted by whatever she was surrounded by, “You can tell me all about the drama I’ve missed between Jake and Bella.”
I let out a genuine laugh, “Will do.”
“Talk to you later, Paul.” She said in a hushed tone before hanging up.
Just like that, I’m alone again. Wondering about where she was going, would something go wrong? There could be leeches there. Maybe I should go check it out, I could find her using her scent. That's weird though. She’ll be fine, I reassure myself.
My phone dings nearly fifteen minutes later, there's a photo message from Saskia. I immediately open it, worried that something is wrong. It's just a mirror photo of her with her shirt bunched up over her breasts. No bra. The arm she was using to hold the camera was covering her scars, whether she did it on purpose or not, I don't know. I don't want her to feel insecure about something I did to her. Her long legs are showcased by a short skirt. The message attached I read aloud to myself, “Something for you to use to pass the time. x o ;)”
“You’re killing me,” I mutter, a grin forming on my face as I take in every detail of the photo. I sent back, “brb printing a poster of you for my room.”
I know she hates the one I’ve currently got, she mentions it every single time. I only keep it up to keep her riled, nobody compares to Saskia in my mind. Nobody ever has. I’ve had a crush on her since the day I moved in next door. The way her mom and her had been dancing in the rain when my dad and I pulled up with the moving truck. The way she laughed as she slipped in the muddy grass and picked herself up like nothing had happened to continue twirling around with a pair of costume fairy wings on. I was hooked.
“For your eyes only, L¯a wats a¯ kil,” was the next text she had sent. I read it back in confusion, not sure what she had actually called me. It was Quileute, that I knew, but I didn't grow up learning the language like Saskia had. As if she could sense my confusion, she sent a follow up text, “Grams says it means wolf.”
I can’t fight off the grin that forms. Saskia had purposefully asked how to say wolf in Quileute, meaning she was indirectly talking about the pack, maybe even just me, to her grandma. I knew her grandparents were elders and knew the histories well. Maybe they even know about the pack. I can't wait to see her again and hear about what she has learned from them.

3 and 10 for all your commanders for the ask please :3
Ohh, fun ones! Thank you so much! <3. This got so long, despite trying to keep it brief, I am so sorry.
Is there an NPC your commander is closest to?
To quickfire it, Pleur's closest relationship with an NPC is probably Trahearne, he's her mentor and she looks up to him immensely and his death ripples through the rest of her actions and insecurities until the end of EoD honestly. It's why she can't give up Caladbolg, it's why she grows a curdling, seething opinion towards Logan, it's why she feels she's done nothing but fail whenever she's had to take true charge and lead. That she keeps getting people killed. His death is probably more important to her development wise than him living.
Sorrix is going to cheat, I'm picking two and it's Taimi and Zojja. Taimi is his *daughter*, he adopts Taimi during S2 in order for them both stick it to the Arcane Council. From there, things just develop and it goes from her calling him dad as a joke to entirely sincere. He adores Taimi, she's quick, she can keep up with him, they have a back and forth, he doesn't talk down to her. She pipes in with suggestions as he builds prosthetics as he looses more and more pieces of himself, and he has his own suggestions regarding Scruffy. They have their arguments, but they're Family, something Sorrix swore up and down he didn't need a decade ago. Zojja meanwhile was his best friend, is. They had an incredibly snappy back and forth as bright but short tempered, brilliant savants and despite the snark they made a fast bond. They pushed one another, , they bickered, and they were both determined geniuses stubbornly refusing to let Tyria go up in flames. My initial canon was that post-HoT Zojja is in a coma until the end of s4, I haven't worked out how on earth soto works. But in the original plan her coma breaks his heart - he has it set up that he gets first notification when she wakes up, and the second she does he's throwing everything aside to be there and help her recover. He missed her, she asks if he's gone sappy, he admits he might have. It's been a while, he's changed a lot.
Cryssi is closest with Caithe, they raised Aurene together and although Caithe wanted to hate Cryssi - she couldn't. They were too sincere, too genuine, and looked to her for guidance and opinions and information with so much trust and innocence, she couldn't be angry at them being given the trust as a stranger that she wasn't. Cryssi adores Caithe, and is always over the moon to see her, that's their crystal buddy!! Especially when she branded, and then it's Cryssi's turn to teach Caithe a few things about crystal magic.
Demon is Demon, I don't think they're close to anyone but Logan is the one who found them in a basement, surrounded by white mantle corpses and covered in blood, and got them involved in everything. If that counts?
Matthia is closest with Rytlock without a doubt, and looks to him as sort of a parental figure. Which is as great a choice as that sounds. In Icebrood especially, the father thing is such a rough spot. Matthia is having a bad time, borderline on the edge of retiring from being the commander at all, and desperately need Rytlock on side. Rytlock who is too busy chasing after a son who hates him, to realise Matt needs him. Icebrood's an entire mess between these two, and Rytlock trying to kill them certainly makes it a so much worse. Cat Family Drama. Cat least Matt gets along with Crecia.
10) Are there any oc's of yours or someone else's that they travel with?
Pleur has an entire guild made of my oc's - Reverie's Vengenace. Which consists of; > Merianus Blacktide, ex-ash whisper's Lightbringer & Pirate, > Sruffi, a Chronomancy Protégé, > Elan Heartkeeper, a blood legionnaire Brand Sentinal turned Vigil/Pact Warmaster, > Paara Ghostburn, a once priory explorer now Iron Legionaire Asura, > and Connae, a sylvari druid who was briefly a whisper's agent. She meets them all at varying times during the Personal Story, but the guild is formed in Orr, and still exists in modern times, and worked alongside Dragon's Watch. They could've just been rolled into one guild, but Reverie's Vengeance didn't want that. So Pleur gets two guilds, who work together constantly. It's makes sense, it's fine.
Sorrix doesn't really have any other oc's in his universe, I have toyed with him having an Arcane Eye agent following him without him knowing, but nothing concrete.
Demon and Cryssi and co-commanders. Demon does the entire personal story, and Cryssi appears with Rytlock when he falls out the mists in HoT, and from then on becomes a more Traditional Commander/Champion role than Demon ever was. Cryssi is a better Figurehead, and it allows Demon to do their best work, being ominous from the shadows and teleporting in and out of situations with cryptid few word answers. Demon drops a lot of responsibility and trust onto Cryssi, giving them the egg and all. They knew Glint had steered Cryssi after Rytlock to be a champion for Aurene, or at least assumed based on the remnants of magic stick to them from the mists. And Cryssi is the only person to ever have seen Demon curl up and lick their wounds. Two lost creatures tied to the mists, warped by it, and from ancient Tyria. There's a kinship.
Matt has a whole little gang! They're not a guild like Pleur's squad of my oc's, but they are essentially extra dragon's watch members in a way. From the base game, Matt meets two human priests, Elvire a Priest of Lyssa, and Damianos, a Priest of Balthazar who grew up in Ebonhawke and served in in the Ebon Vanguard. Elvire is less a solider themselves, and more acts as a leader and support type roles in the pact. In Elona and Cantha, they're very Diplomat - and in general they're very much a lot of emotional support for Matthia being so calm, it's similar to what they used to do back in Divinity's Reach for folks, a reassuring shoulder. Damianos is very much a solider as you'd expect, and he ha a rough go of it. He joins Balthazar at the end of s3, but regrets it in PoF and is working on making amends ever since, he feels extremely guilty for being misled and stubborn. He's got a good heart, he just makes a lot of mistakes and hard judgements. During HoT Matt picks up Sage, a daredevil sylvari who was very almost mordrem, who wandered into the wood away from the circus he ran away into from the grove, following the call. Sage is a cheerful, bouncy acrobat who seems to take everything with a quip and a backflip, and he sticks to Matt like glue after they meet despite plenty of suspicion. He's also soundless. And very finally during seaon 4, after Joko's death they pick up Nekkt. Nekkt is ex-inquest, and was awakened by Joko after being killed by his forces in Rata Primus. She's grumpy, sullen, and has been picked up by the scruff and stuck with the Good Guys because where else is she going to go. and Her and Matt certainly don't have any weird bonding over having both died, absolutely not.

Tell me what you like about Stanman, I only kind of get it?? I wanna hear your perspective/thoughts/headcannons
Omg sure! Okay, so I can see and like stanman in many other ways but my own intake will be in a form of healing? I like to see stanman in a situation we're they're both in their lowest, I like seeing Cartman ironically being Stan's method of healing. Cause in instances it's shown in the show that Cartman is indifferent/uncomfortable with drugs, alcohol? I take this being because of his mother. Like when Kenny is chessing or Stan's depression episode! Cartman isn't in any way comfortable seeing them act the way they act in those episodes, actually he is either dismissive, indifferent or just plain uncomfortable.
I can see Cartman developing feelings for Stan, I see him showing his concern in his own little way like "you're a pussy if you keep drinking like your dad" or "you should really quit the weed, Marsh it ain't looking good for you" these are comments for Stan to take the hint that he does NOT approve of him taking that down route.
I know it's a huge headcanon for Cartman to be just much of a high motherfucker like Kenny. And I can totally see that! But my view on Cartman is that he refuses to indulge that same type of energy just cause he's too stubborn to admit how much of the shit he took from childhood actually affected him and a slight fear of becoming his own mother. (Also Kyle, for some reason I see Kyle making a huge fuss over cartman doing any sorta drugs/alcohol compared to Kenny and Stan. It doesn't necessarily have to be in a romantic kinda way, more like a concerned friend.)
So, with that said, like I mentioned from the start both are each other's form to heal. I view Stan being the one to develop feelings first, ofcourse he isn't gonna outright say it but he'll keep his feelings tucked inside. I think he'll become a mess while in high-school, but being around Cartman just makes him feel more careless? Cartman has always been a ride or die type of guy. He knows that being around Cartman it's either gonna go south or north and he genuinely starts liking that sorta feeling on not knowing what's going to happen but he knows things will end up going okay at the end of the day.
Stan’s always worries for the future while Cartman just doesn't, he is more into living the present than to wait upon what's next. Another quality Stan likes about Cartman.
But these same qualities are the attributes Cartman hates about himself!
Stan doesn't see how these small things affect Cartman in his daily life, Cartman's carelessness will eventually strike him and he knows it!
I also see Stan having a huge breakdown if he ever caught Cartman overdosing/taking drugs, it's like some wake up call for him. He may take it if it's him but Cartman? Fuck no.
And ofcourse Cartman's soft spot for Stan plays a huge part of his concern for Stan going to the "Pc Stan route".
They're both animals lovers, I see Stan admiring Cartman from a far while he holds on to kittens. And I see Stan taking Cartman on a date to the zoo just as much as I see Stan eventually making a protest to free the animals after seeing a zoo employee mistreat one and Cartman just following along the fun.
Cartman stealing Randy's tractor and cutting all the weed down after a huge argument between him and Stan about his weed problem.
Stan making Kyle talk to Cartman for him after having argued about something stupid and Kyle reluctantly having to do just that.
Stan mimicking certain traits of Cartman and Kyle's just left dreaded in horror.
Cartman calling Stan his "boo" just to annoy Kyle, but calling Kyle his "babe" just to piss off Stan(make him jealous). And somehow Stan always blames it on Kyle.
I feel during their relationship they'll be a huge fight between Stan and Kyle because Kyle will find it the most difficult to get use to it. But they'll eventually patch things up.
This is pretty much it for what I have for them, I honestly haven't put much thought in how I see them getting together but I'm so sure that they'll be link with addiction problems/emotionally/ trauma.
Sorry if this was long 😅

ANYWAYS MEET MY MAIN HH OC - BÖSE!
[im not that good at full bodies I apologise]
Fact file [might update]:
Cw: Vomiting,
Mostly with her father; after all, she lives at the hotel!
Hyperactive little shit. She refuses to let her father take a break...or anyone for that matter.
Major weak stomach..she definitely thrown up on Alastor before.
Absolutely depises getting to sleep. She'll scream and thrash whenever it's bedtime, trying to prove she's not tired.
[Yet the thrashing makes her tired]
On top of that, she hates sleeping alone. She'll also wake up several times a week and just snuggles up to Alastor [or someone else if he isn't there] and sleeps there.
She puts her all into the trust exercises..especially the acting ones..it's honestly hilarious to everyone else.
Very naive...but she refuses to admit its true.
She's not one to throw tantrums [unless it's bedtime]..but when she does, she gets hectic.
Inherited a lot of Alastor's powers..which makes the tantrums even more deadly.
A television? What's that?
But once Charlie introduced her to cartoons, she became absolutely obsessed with "The PowerPuff girls" [if that even exists in hell]
She has quite the weak immune system...and seems to just love to panic her father which this information!
She loves reading..and whenever her father is free, she will try and force him to re-read the same book over and over again
She's quite the picky eater. She's not gonna eat that! She wants the boiled egg she asked for!
Very polite, always saying "please" and "thank you" [when she doesn't hate you]
Crybaby..she cries very easily...even if you so much as say the wrong thing to her.
Despite how chaotic she normally is, she can also be really calm [but that's also quite rare]
Bad liar. If she has an immediate response to a suspicion she did something bad, she's 100% lying
Loves giving people nicknames! Even if she knows their actual names.
Her relationship with other characters:
Ranked in order of her favourite people
Alastor - Dad
"Daddy!" She's a total daddies girl, constantly wanting to show him things and loving to cling to him. They have a really close bond <3
Rosie - Mom
"Mommy!" Absolutely adores her [surrogate] mother! Her relationship with Rosie is still similar to Alastor's
Husk - Uncle figure
"The Kitty!" She finds Husk's grumpy personality amusing, and absolutely loves trying to pet him [it never works]
Niffty - Sister figure
"Cleaning lady!" They're really close <3! They cannot be left alone together, they 100% will destroy something. And also Böse has tried to drink bleach one too many times
Angel Dust - Uncle figure
"Silly spider!" Again, similar to Husk, she loves his fluffy chest. But she also loves being carried by him with his many arms
Sir Pentious - Uncle figure
"Silly snake man!" She loves watching him build things, and has tried on many times to get him to make her something. Though, she was usually never fully clear on what she wanted..but he eventually made her a vintage robot for her 4th birthday [which she proceeded to use to annoy the crap out of her father and she hasn't gotten it back since that day]
KeeKee - Kitty
"The cuter kitty" She chases KeeKee everywhere when she wants to pet her..and has been in trouble many times for traumatising the cat.
Charlie - Older sister figure
"Princess!" I know they have a good relationship..and I bet Charlie was the main one getting her a bunch of gifts for when she was a baby.
Vaggie - Auntie figure
"Angry lady!" She's not often around Vaggie..so there isn't much information for those two.

Any headcanons about TF2 sneezes? :⁰
Ah, yes, TF2…one of my not so secret loves! I must say, this is a fantastic ask to come back to!
Scout:
He has a pretty standard sneeze - one or two into the back of the hand.
However, covering or stifling isn’t in his vocabulary, which means that his sneezes can get pretty loud if it’s been coming for a while. He is also very vocal, no matter how much he needs to sneeze.
He’s also the kind of person that will commentate on his sneeze, both before and after.
“H-hold on, I’m gonna - HTCH’CHOO!”
“Snf! Ugh, I’ve been waitin’ for that all day.”
He’s not allergic to anything in particular, but his number one reason for sneezing is all the dust, dirt, and sand that’s kicked up during a mission.
Scout has a great sense of smell - just like his dad - so strong perfumes and spices bothers his nose more than he’d like to admit.
His sneezes become even more wet when he’s sick, which he cleans up with the bottom or collar of his shirt instead.
Because his skin is so pale, his nose and ears become dark red when he’s come down with a cold.
When it comes to other people’s sneezes, he was raised to say “bless ya” so he often does without even thinking about it.
However, it’s often followed up by teasing, especially if it’s Spy.
“Aw, gross!” is usually his go-to.
Heavy:
You would think that such a big guy would have a huge sneeze, and you may be right.
However, Heavy makes it a point to not fully sneeze any chance he can.
This leads to his sneezes usually sounding more like he’s being strangled.
He also religiously uses his handkerchief, putting it fully over his nose and turning away before every sneeze.
After he’s finished, he blesses himself in Russian while he blows his nose.
Heavy only has one allergy, and it’s quite a strange one: ladybugs.
Luckily, with how hot it is, ladybug sightings are few and far between.
But Medic using ladybug serum for tear gas had some…not so great results for Heavy, who is often in the lab.
Because Heavy takes good care of himself, sickness is rare. When he does catch a cold, though, his sneezes grow more and more desperate and messy.
Even still, no merc has ever seen him sneeze without pinching his nose or his handkerchief firmly over his nostrils.
This means it takes him a bit longer to recover than most, as he doesn’t allow himself to release the illness.
When other people sneeze, he’ll quickly bless them. After learning more about his comrades, he has also taken to blessing them in their native languages.
He is also the mercs main caretaker, always noticing sickness first and helping the person get better. He gets almost comically fussy, worrying about the the sick merc like a mother hen.
It is also one of the many times Heavy likes to cook for the mercs, usually a hearty stew with small, round, flat “cakes”.
Soldier:
This man SCREAMS his sneezes. You can hear his nose from across the base.
However, he at least tries to sneeze in the crook of his elbow…sometimes.
He only uses tissues if he’s congested, and he never has any on-hand.
He usually wipes his nose on the back of his hand, especially on the field. However, he refuses to wipe it on his uniform - something about “wiping his nose on America”?
His biggest allergy is pollen. Growing up around a power plant doesn’t give you a whole lot of opportunities for your body to accumulate to nature. Luckily, not much blooms near the base.
However, the occasional dandelion seed or cut flowers will send him sniffling.
It’s not too difficult to tell when Soldier is getting sick - unlike his normal, unnecessarily loud sneezes, his sick sneezes are pretty quiet, but still just as harsh.
This leads most of the mercs to believe that him sneezing loudly is on purpose - honestly, it wouldn’t surprise them, since Soldier is booming in every other aspect.
His nose gets less red than the paler mercs, but it does get very swollen and painful. Not to mention extremely congested.
When other people sneeze, instead of saying the normal “bless you,” he’ll say, “God bless America!” Eh, close enough.
He refers to any time one of the mercs are sick as “sick leave” or “shore leave”.
He also has to be kept from using different “army remedies” on the sick merc - one of which is covering the chest with peanut butter and lighting it on fire.
Demo:
Due to his almost continuous drunkenness, Demo’s nose is pretty sensitive.
It tingles and buzzes when he’s tipsy, meaning that anything can set him off.
He has loud, rough sneezes, and they get louder the more alcohol is in his system.
It’s also very clear when he’s about to sneeze, as he usually has to focus all of his energy on getting it out.
A lot of mercs tease him about this, even to the point of him losing the sneeze entirely.
When he does sneeze, he uses the back of his hand to cover (as best he can), and a rag in his pocket to blow his nose.
He doesn’t have any allergies, but his nose is generally sensitive because of the alcohol he drinks.
When he catches a cold, his face becomes even more swollen the usual, and his sneezes are more forthcoming.
If he’s drunk and sick, which is usually the case, he sneezes CONSTANTLY. Anything from gunpowder to rubbing alcohol to dirt to sunlight can render him a sneezy mess.
If one of the mercs sneeze, he usually says, “gesundheit” or “dia leat.” If someone sneezes more than twice, it’s usually accompanied with, “Don’t blow yer head off!”
If anyone comes down with a cold, you better bet that Demo will give you some good scrumpy - even against Medic’s orders.
Sniper:
Sniper has mastered the art of stifling, even to the point where his unstifled sneezes are rarely ever vocal.
If he’s trying to hold back, his sneezes are completely silent.
He usually sneezes into the crook of his arm, especially when he’s on the field and that’s the closest part of the body to his face when he’s holding a rifle.
When he’s not working, he’ll often dip the front of his hat down with every sneeze, turning away if necessary.
He also grits his teeth, making a harsh “CHHH!” sound.
He doesn’t have any allergies, but he does have a photic sneeze response, which is one of the reasons he wears a large-brimmed hat and dark sunglasses.
When he’s ill - which is pretty rare - his nostrils are so slender that, though he can stifle his sneezes pretty easily, he sniffles relentlessly.
This means that his nose is often irritated and red if he catches a cold, both from rubbing it with his finger and the tissues he keeps on hand.
When someone sneezes around him, he’s usually in the chorus of “bless yous”. He doesn’t usually pay too much attention unless it sounds like someone is getting sick.
Since Sniper hates catching colds, or any other illness, he avoids sick mercs like the literal plague. He has been known to take revenge on people he suspects had gotten him sick.
Medic:
Medic, for all his terrifying traits, has an almost comical sneeze.
It’s higher pitched, and usually come in multiples, each one getting higher than the last.
Heavy teases him for it often, but only good-naturedly as he offers him a handkerchief.
Medic himself keeps tissues in his pockets, but often forgets to replace them, meaning that he usually just has a pocket full of used ones.
If he doesn’t have a tissue, the crook of his arm works just fine. Or inside of a surgical mask.
He has a ferocious allergy to cats - one of the many reasons he doesn’t like them - and just being near one will cause several sneezing fits. When Scout found a stray kitten and decided to keep it in the lab, you can guess how well that went.
Medic gets sick every year along with the rest of the mercs (the yearly “Merc Flu” as they call it), and would usually ignore his symptoms.
However, it’s gotten to the point where he takes sick days immediately - not because he isn’t willing to risk his health, but because Heavy would throttle him.
He gets very, very red in the cheeks, ears, and nose when he’s sick, and it’s one of the only times he wears a mask.
When someone else sneezes, he usually says, “gesundheit” or “salut”. He can also usually tell with one sneeze whether or not they need to stop by the lab.
When mercs are sick, they are usually sent to the lab to quarantine, sleeping on a cot in the sick bay. Medic will usually take up his knitting hobby or read so that he won’t wake them up with experiments, and they’ll be available if needed.
Pyro:
Because of the mask they wear, Pyro doesn’t sneeze very often.
But whether a bit of hair tickles their nostrils or a speck of dust makes it through their mask, when they sneeze, it’s a doozy.
It’s very loud, very wet, and very messy.
They usually have to take their mask off to clean afterwards.
However, most of the time, things like allergies don’t bother them, as the mask protects them from most pathogens.
This also goes for illnesses - most of the time. On the off-chance that Pyro does get sick, there is an entire protocol dedicated to such an event.
Pyro will stay in their room, not the sick bay. No one will come in, as they are likely to be unmasked. A whole week will be set aside for their recovery.
When someone else sneezes, Pyro mumbled their blessings. Or, well, something. No one is quite sure what they say after someone sneezes.
Because of their mask, they are very handy in the lab with Medic if someone is ill. However, they never take direct care of a patient - imagine looking up and seeing a gas mask stare back at you!
Engineer:
His sneezes are very vocal, both before, during, and after.
Before a sneeze, even if he’s alone, he’ll say, “‘Scuse me-!”
Even though he isn’t particularly loud, Engie’s sneezes are very distinct, with a jump near the end: “hhhh’tchIEW!”
And afterwards, he’ll usually say, “Phew!” or “Sorry ‘bout that.”
Because he’s worked in dusty, dark, and musty places all his life, Engie doesn’t have any major allergies.
The closest thing is when he sneezes after opening a new bottle of oil or any other strong-smelling chemical.
However, he does get sick just as much as the rest of the mercs, if not more.
The reason is that he’s one of the more willing people to get near sick people, especially if they need his help.
One day he helps Scout get to the sick bay, the next, he’s sniffling and sneezing in the cot next to him!
He always blesses people when they sneeze. He usually has the loudest, “Bless ya!” out of everyone.
And if anyone is sick, he’d take the shirt off his back just so they could use it as a handkerchief. Is it any wonder he’s usually one of the first people sick?
Spy:
Like Sniper, Spy is a master stifler. If you aren’t paying close attention to him, you might wonder if he ever sneezes at all.
He usually grimaces, wrinkles his nose, and squeezes his eyes shut, only moving slightly.
He also always keeps a handkerchief handy in case he needs to get rid of any evidence.
Spy, like his son, has a fantastic sense of smell. This is useful in espionage, but terrible for allergies.
If a perfume is too strong, a wine too potent, a powder too fine, he’ll have a very quick reaction.
But, due to his extensive training and experience, he is very good at hiding this fact.
Almost like a pet bird, Medic needs to keep a special eye on Spy when it comes to illness.
The details of his sickness are so minute that most won’t even notice - a slight nasal tone, fatigue, harsh swallowing. His sneezes are still controlled as ever, but his face becomes more and more pained after each one.
Usually it’s Engineer who will delicately suggest - or even deceive - that Spy take a day off. However, instead of the sick bay, Spy will spend it in his smoking room, wearing a robe and listening to old records.
Spy usually says “salut” if no one else is there to say bless you, but only out of politeness. If it’s Scout or Demo, this might be followed up with, “Disgusting.”
If he has an inkling that someone is sick, he will stay as far away from them as possible. He abhors getting sick, and will take any measures necessary to stay healthy.
However, he has been known to go into the sick bay with a cup of chamomile tea after a merc has been coughing or sneezing, hand it to them, and say, “Now please. Shut up.” However, this is the extent of his kindness

What's this, a new d&d character?
hi. I have a DND character. his name is Oliver (oli). I may or may not be projecting onto him, a lot, but that is not the problem today. I made a character playlist for him and I want to talk about how it pertains to his (planned?) character arc. Ergo, this
The important thing to begin with is the basic gist of his backstory. Oli is a satyr paladin, oath of the ancients. Early to mid twenties or so. Gay (and ace), which is relevant, because he has a Tragic Backstory!!!!
Basically, he grew up in and out of the feywild, either there or in this one elven town that just so happens to have a portal to faerie very close by (and also might have been the childhood home of the other character in the campaign, quinn, who belongs to @ineffeblygay (hi mars. hope you don't mind the tag!! feel free to ignore this if you want /not sarcastic /not passive agressive), but neither of them remember that all too well (see their Tragic Backstory™))
He, as many gays are wont to do, had a boyfriend!!! I have not figured out said partner's name yet but that is okay. However, there was An Accident, that Oli thinks he would have been able to prevent if he had been there, and his partner died. Oli blames himself for it. He made his oath because of them, and so he holds to it, both because he believes in it, and because he feels like it's the least he can do. (Notably, for semi-related reasons, he avoids using the magic that comes with the oath if at all possible (I'm thinking it's cause he tried to help them with it, and he failed, and he thinks that it's cause he did something wrong and it was his fault (hi. remember what I said about projecting--)
song #1
she's in love with the boy by trisha yearwood
This is about the childhood romance type thing. It's like the, oh, hey, they're in love, and it's sweet, and they're going to spend the rest of their lives together, and no one can stop that-- until, hey, whoops, dead (hence song #2)
song #2
if i should fall behind by bruce springsteen, specifically the live in dublin version
this is the part that functions as the section about his partner's death. ''if I should fall behind / wait for me'' Ahhhhhhh. so, in this case falling behind is them dying. which. oh hey that's fun, metaphors!!
it's them promising the wait for each other, to remember each other, and it's also about Oliver refusing to move on
song #3
ophelia by the lumineers
listen. ophelia dies, thats gotta be something. is their partner the ophelia in this situation? honestly, hell if I know. maybe? probably, even, but possibly not. cause the thing with ophelia is, she either killed herself or it was an accident, twist of fate. and that's what his partner's death was, and like ophelia, no one can know for certain.
song #4
all that heaven will allow by bruce spingsteen
the thing with this song is, I first heard it when my dad was trying to prove to me that bruce springsteen does have at least a couple happy songs. my immediate response was that the narrator was dead, this definitely isn't a happy song. (On an unrealted note, my dad thinks he was trying to get into heaven, and I think he was trying to get out. I have many opinions on this song) I stand by that opinion.
This is the part from what would be, if it was a book, Oliver's partner's pov. he wants more time, he wishes he could have had more time, and he's coming to terms with that, that he's dead. which in theory would take place while his soul is traveling from the material plane to the shadowfell
Song #5
achellies come down by gang of youths
this is the bit where Oliver's depression gets REAL bad, he tries to kill himself, but he doesn't do it, which is uh. both kinda important because I need him to be alive for the campaign and also, you remember what I said about the projection bit? yeah that. but the thing is, he doesn't admit it to himself (again, projection). the year and a half to two years after his partner died were the worst years of his life, and then one day he woke up and just. shoved all his emotions in a closet and ignored them (which is extremely not healthy)
and he stays like that for a year to a year and a half, and sometime in that time period is where the campaign picks up with him.
song #6
welcome to the black parade by my chemical romance
this one doesn't fit as obviously as the other ones do, but "though you're dead and gone believe me / your memory will carry on" cause one day he just decides to pretend that he's perfectly okay (he's not) and isn't traumatized at all (he is) and he is perfectly capable of being a functional human being person
cause carrying on. he has to pretend he's okay because if he's not what the hells does he do then?
song #7
i'm not okay (i promise) by my chemical romance
hey look, he's admitting it now. he's beginning to heal!!!! (tbh this probably comes after a pivotal and highly emotional time in the campaign, probably after one of them comes super close to death and they're above like, level 5, idk, I haven't worked out all the details yet (gods I love being dm))
song #8
take me home, country roads by john denver
to be honest, there's something missing between song #7 and #8, but I don't know quite what it is. but, at the very end of the campaign, he's gonna go home. he's going to go back to where he came from for the first time in three or four years and he's going to see his family and his friends because he's finally at a point in his life where he feels like he can face them without blaming himself.
so, that was it!!!! if you have questions please ask me I love talking about oli--
#dnd oc: oliver#tw suicide mention#i am very excited about this man#its gonna be FUN#its the first campaign thats actually had more than 1 session (even if both were session 0s) that i've ever DMed for and i am excited#it is midnight#i have not proof read this at all#it will be a bloody miracle if there are less than 10 spelling errors in the entire post

Okay your new header is SO cute!!!
So for the ask meme, our lovely mumble boys!!! 1, 8, 35, and whichever your favourite number is!
Thank you so much, and thanks for indulging me!
1. Who fell for the other one first?
Generally speaking, Ryou is the hopeless romantic who falls first, but somehow in Power of Three, he's the last one to fall for both of his boys. 🤷♀️ Seto falling for Ryou first is just too adorable.
8. Do they get along with each other’s friends and family?
Oooh, I've made a post like this before, but I never get tired of talking about how these boys build their family.
Seto lets Ryou put up a little angel shrine to his mother and sister in the mansion's garden with votive candles and such (thanks to my "Ryou had a Catholic mom" headcanons). Duke is not on speaking terms with his parents (idk that we know anything about Duke's mom, but assuming she's not dead, I think he resents her for what she let his dad do), so Kaiba is happy to stonewall them as well. "The enemy of my friend is my enemy." And if either Duke's dad or Ryou's dad shows up uninvited, Seto is taking every legal measure to keep them as far away as possible.
Ryou and Duke love Mokuba, and Mokuba loves them. Kaiba cannot date anyone longterm that Mokuba hates, it's not allowed. They get along super well and it's honestly enriching for lil Mokie.
In an AU where Amane is secretly somehow alive, she and Mokuba become BFFs, she slips right into his friendgroup with Leon and Rebecca, and he has a big crush on her. Seto and Amane don't quite know what to make of each other, and that's partly because Seto is weird with women. Duke and Amane would get along great, total nerdy gamer bros.
Kaiba is forced to learn how to play nice with the rest of the gang, mostly due to Ryou's insistence. Ryou's not going to keep the people he cares about all separate unless there's a very good reason for it, and he doesn't think Kaiba has a good reason for refusing to interact with the others. Duke actually would have been fine with Seto staying so standoffish, but does admit that it's not fun when they can all do things together with their friends.
35. How do they deal with being away from each other for a long time?
Ooooooooohhhhhhhh boy. *Deep breath* Okay, SO.
When Seto has to travel and taking either of his boys with him isn't an option, they use phonecalls to stay in touch. Seto doesn't usually do much of the talking on these calls, but hearing their voices and listening to them happily talk about their day and their ideas makes him happier in that "I miss you more than I did before" kind of way.
Sometimes Duke has to go to America for business stuff with Pegasus, and he prefers video calls and exchanging selfies to help with missing his boys. Kaiba won't take selfies but Ryou takes pictures of him on Duke's behalf, which is deemed acceptable.
When Ryou is missing his men, in addition to the stuff above, he will wear their clothes to feel closer to them and hang out in a spot where they usually spend their time. Sometimes he'll drink coffee when he misses Seto, even though he doesn't really like coffee. It makes him feel closer. Then when they come back, Ryou is all over them for cuddles.
And, since you asked for my favorite number, I've become a little... extra indulgent.
33. Who is the big spoon and why?
Mostly Kaiba, secondarily Duke, but Ryou will be a big spoon too sometimes to both of them and it's precious. Ryou likes to hold onto people and cuddle, and Kaiba denies that he's a cuddler, but if he's holding them in his sleep and they creep out of his hold for any reason, he wakes up fast. It's secretly an anxiety thing. Ryou figured that out first but doesn't say anything about it. Duke just loves physical contact, he will go either way with either of them. 😉
48. Who would bring home a homeless animal?
Ryou 1000%. He will come home with a box of abandoned kittens, crying because he already loves all of them so much. Duke grabs the tissues and Seto summons a veterinarian.
49. Do they match outfits for special occasions?
Ryou likes to match Kaiba, and Duke likes to be his own thing. Duke's style and flair are very distinct and don't match Kaiba at all, though they are an interesting complement. Sometimes Duke wants Ryou to match him instead, and that's when Ryou becomes an absolute doll that his boyfriends dress up because he would wear casual comfy clothes every day of his life for every occasion if he didn't have such fashionable men to guide him.

Chapter 27. What Now?
Everyone was kind enough not to bombard Steve with questions as Eddie helped him up and into his parent’s ensuite bathroom to clean up.
“So, how are you really feeling?” Eddie asked, hovering close by as he washed the blood off his hands and face.
“Kind of wild,” he admitted, leaning on the sink, and letting everything turn over in his mind.
Yes, he had helped Eddie, Hopper, and Max, but this had been a whole other experience. The others had all been slower for a start, and this had felt so much more urgent, so immediate.
“It was kind of wild to watch,” Eddie told him, stepping up behind him and placing a hand on his back. “Nancy was so pale, like she was already dead, and she came back to life under your hands. Birdie is right, it is amazing.”
“I still don’t know what I’m doing,” he said, watching the last of the bloody water circle the drain.
“Yeah, you do,” Eddie said, leaning closer to whisper in his ear. “You might not fully understand it, but I don’t fully understand how my van works, but I can still fix it.”
“Debateable,” Steve replied automatically, and Eddie scoffed at him.
He wasn’t sure he quite believed that, but they were in yet another crisis, so he pushed his doubts down.
“Did you explain everything to my mom, Wayne and your guys?” he asked, pulling off his shirt and picking up the soap to clean where the blood had soaked through.
“Hmmm,” was all that came back.
“Eds?” he asked, looking over his shoulder.
“Sorry,” Eddie said, blinking and giving him a coy little smile, “got distracted. Give a guy some warning if you’re gonna rip your top off. Yes, they’ve all had Upside Down 101 and I explained about me and how I’m not dead too. Your mom is one formidable lady, I think Owens is in so much trouble when she gets her hands on him. When Robin gave her the rundown on Starcourt and the Russians, your mom looked like she was ready to kill. And I think Wayne is just glad to have an explanation for all the weird shit that’s been going on. Gareth, Jeff, and Frank look about how I felt when I learned about all this shit too.”
“And are you okay?” Steve asked as he splashed water to rinse off. “Can’t have been easy explaining where you really were.”
“There might have been a bit of manly crying,” Eddie said, trying to play it off with humour, but Steve could see how hard it had been. “And manly hugging too.”
“Well, as long as it was manly,” he replied in kind, but leaned over and pecked Eddie on the cheek at the same time. “I’d give you a manly hug too,” he added, “but I’m all wet.”
“No fair, Harrington,” Eddie complained, “you can’t promise me things like that and not deliver. And how did you manage to make this about me? I’m sure we were talking about you.”
“Yeah, well, we can do the heart to heart later, we’ve got a crisis to deal with right now,” he replied, refusing to dwell on things. “Can you find me a shirt, please?”
“No problem,” Eddie said and disappeared before Steve could suggest where to look.
Steve went back to cleaning up. He was towelling off when Eddie returned, flushed and breathing hard, clearly having been running. He laughed when he saw the shirt Eddie handed him.
“Y’know, my dad has clothes in the room just outside this door,” he said, but pulled on the band Tee Eddie had grabbed.
“Didn’t think of that,” Eddie said unrepentantly, “and your room is off limits, so you’ll just have to bow to the metal.”
“You just like me in your clothes,” Steve complained, even as he grabbed Eddie by the front of his shirt and gently pulled him closer. “Only for you.”
Eddie looped his arms around Steve’s shoulders as Steve leaned in for a proper kiss this time.
“You had me dressed in your clothes for days,” Eddie said into the kiss. “Turnaround is fair play.”
“Okay, I’ll give you that,” he agreed at which point his stomach gave an almighty growl and killed the moment.
“Come on,” Eddie said, “you need to refuel.”
When they walked out of the downstairs bedroom, the first thing Steve saw was Nancy sitting up, wearing a shirt that was way too big for her and clutching a mug.
“Nancy,” he said, giving her a pleased smile, “how are you feeling?”
What he really didn’t expect was for her to abandon the mug on the coffee table and launch at him, throwing her arms around his neck.
“Hey, you’re okay,” he said, wrapping her in his arms as she cried into his shoulder.
He had become so used to Nancy being the put-together one in a crisis that he wasn’t quite sure what to do. That and the fact he was feeling somewhat lightheaded did not help him process. He might also have swayed a bit.
“Okay, right, let’s move the hugging to the couch before you both fall down,” Joyce said from somewhere close.
Not being the complete idiot some of his friends thought he was, Steve went with it when a couple of pairs of hands steered them into empty seats.
“Sorry,” Nancy said, pulling back. “Thank you.”
“No problem,” he replied because he had no idea what else to say. “Sorry about the blouse.”
Nancy let out a short, loud laugh even though she was still crying.
“I think it was ruined anyway,” she said, wiping her eyes with the back of her hand.
“Group hug,” Dustin yelled, and Steve just braced for impact.
It was silly and crazy, but the tangle of limbs seemed to be just what everyone needed. For a while Steve just let himself enjoy it. They had a mystery to solve and yet more danger to deal with, but celebrating the small victory was good for them.
“Okay, okay, enough,” Eddie’s voice finally cut through the chaos. “Steve and Nancy need to eat, like right now.”
The kids backed off, except Mike who stayed glued to his sister’s side perched on the arm of the couch. Steve couldn’t help feeling a little exposed. Now there was nothing between him and where his mom was standing to the side. When a plateful of mac-n-cheese was thrust into his hands he held it almost like a shield. His mom, usually so perfectly put together, even when she was being casual, looked like she might have been crying. Eddie hadn’t mentioned that.
“Okay, Mom?” he asked as that slowly sank in.
She gave him a tight smile and nodded, although her eyes looked kind of shiny. He patted the third seat on the couch in invitation. When she sat down, she reached out and pulled him in for a quick one arm hug.
“You should eat, Darling,” she told him.
He nodded, but couldn’t quite manage it straight away. For a few moments he searched her face, trying to read how she was reacting.
“You doing okay?” he asked, ignoring everything going on around them for a while.
“Steve, that should be my line,” his mom said seriously.
“Yeah, but you only just found out about all this,” he replied. “It’s a lot.”
“And if everything I have been told is true,” his mom countered, “you found out about this a week and a half ago.”
Steve did a mental calculation in his head and realised it was true. It felt so weird to realise that. He was still getting used to the idea, still adjusting, but it had been such a huge change it seemed like longer ago.
“I guess,” he replied.
“And you’ve been dealing with all this without being able to tell me or your father since you were sixteen,” his mom added and there was the fire Eddie had mentioned.
“Way older than most of the kids,” he pointed out.
“Steven,” his mother said in a tone that begged no argument, “that does not make it any better. The government made children sign NDAs, which is more than simply illegal. And they did it by blackmailing you all.”
He could tell his mother was incensed.
“Mom,” he said, placing a hand over hers, “are you okay?”
He knew a deflection when he saw it because he’d used more than a few of them himself. No doubt his mother was not about to let the matter drop, but it was not the time.
“Yes,” she replied, taking a deep breath, “I am just very, very angry.”
That would do for the time being.
“Are you okay?” she asked.
“Yes,” he replied, “just very, very hungry.”
That managed to get a smile out of her. They were going to have to talk, probably for a long while, but with the crisis going on, it was not the time.
“Then eat,” his mom said, giving him a very small smile.
He smiled back and did as he was told. When Robin presented him with one of his shakes, he’d written the recipe down for cases of emergency, he could have kissed her. Instead, he ate his mac and cheese and sipped at the shake like it was ambrosia.
He was still eating when Hopper called for everyone’s attention.
“We need to figure this out,” the older man said.
Everyone who’d been through the Upside Down was sitting around nodding in a resigned way, his mom, Wayne and the Corroded Coffin guys appeared to be doing their best not to simply freak out.
“Nancy, you said you thought you were being followed,” Hopper said. “For how long?”
“I noticed something yesterday,” Nancy replied, placing her fork back in her bowl, “but it wasn’t until today I decided it wasn’t me being paranoid. Today it was two men in dark clothes in a car. I ditched them and came to you.”
Steve was impressed with how calmly she managed to recount the information. That she had successfully ditched a surveillance team was also pretty metal, as Eddie would no doubt describe it.
“Has anyone else seen anything suspicious?” Hopper asked next.
“There was a weird guy in the store when I went to pick up groceries yesterday,” Steve said as he thought about it. “He could just have been security though. I didn’t notice anyone following me back to town, and I always check because of Eddie.”
It had become a habit since Eddie began living with him. His house was far enough back from the road that no one could see into it without coming up the drive, but he liked to be sure.
Everyone else just made vague, inconclusive noises.
“I’ve heard everyone talk about Doctor Owens,” Eddie spoke up. “Could this be him?”
“Not likely,” Joyce said.
“He would not do this,” El agreed. “If he had wished to kill me, it would have been far easier when I was trapped in the Void. It is more likely the men who killed Papa.”
“The ones who tried to arrest us after the final battle,” Dustin piped up.
“They did what?” Steve’s mom asked.
“After El finished off Vecna, all these men in black uniforms appeared and wanted to take El away,” Lucas revealed.
“Only Dr Owens showing up with his own people with guns stopped them,” Will added.
Steve could see his mom adding more to her mental list.
“But why now?” Mike asked. “Why not when they first let us all go home?”
“Because the bureaucratic fighting is over,” Hopper said, staring at the ceiling and closing his eyes for a moment as if he thought he’d been an idiot.
“What do you mean?” Steve’s mom asked.
“Sam, uh, Doctor Owens offered me the job at the lab the day before yesterday,” Hopper revealed, “and he said it was because he’d finally made sure everything was settled and he was back in charge for good. If this black-ops colonel is as fanatical as I think he is, this might be his last-ditch solution.”
“But El saved the world,” Lucas pointed out as if it made no sense to him.
“I don’t think he sees El as a person,” Robin said, “just a weapon.”
“Which in his mind would make her even more dangerous now there’s no enemy to defeat,” Dustin concluded. “So, what do we do?” Wayne asked the obvious question.
