the fuckin mgr 4chan discourse post has me rolling how do you look at a game about the meaning of justice/freedom being different for everyone and that moral hypocrisy exists as “we need it to be a black and white morality game we need all games to be that way”
i love media that gives you unreliable narrators or makes you play as a morally wrong individual!!! i love media that challenges your outlook or makes you try and see why some people think the way that they do!!!!!!

random little merch update i guess:
merch items will never take Creative Priority over my silly projects like cookiefish or the analog horror or video essays or Out of Game/Save Game or one off things like the puppet show. or even just Generally Drawing and Animating. but it is my job!! so it takes some form of priority! but that doesn’t mean i can’t have fun with it!
in terms of small merch items, i’m currently working on migrating all of my stuff from etsy to the same BigCartel that the captcha bags are currently on. this involves taking nicer photos of everything and bumping the prices down since etsy just straight up steals the money of sellers and i won’t have to worry about that anymore on bigcartel!
new stuff is also on the way! i have some Genesis Frog quicksand shaker charms being made, some Mettaton CD charms, and i’ll probably make some charms of my Mayor sticker because there needs to be more Mayor merch in the world. once the dave polaroid drawings are all done i’m gonna print those and have those as a fun polaroid set, like the ones on the omori merch site! ive got a general mettaton drop planned as well, including the CD charms but also some normal acrylic charms, some poster prints, and some other stuff! i’ve also got some handmade stuff in the works, small homestuck trinkets for display (that i think are quite funny) and cute little hand sewn dice bags themed after characters and HS aspects!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
in terms of Big Merch. of course the pink and purple bags are still being made!! just waiting on those, but they should be all done soon and then i get 500 bags in my house to ship out one by one :p EEK
i have the blue and yellow samples now, and those come right after i’ve shipped out every pink and purple one!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i also have the consort pastel sweater and the horrorterror black sweater! i have the consort one already, and i’m currently getting a sample made for the horrorterror one. i honestly have no clue whennnn i will be able to open preorders for those because i’ll have to slot them in between bag drops (blue and yellow and then. black and red or whatever other mystery color i choose for that one. and then pink and purple again)… but i’ll figure that out!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and then after those. hoo boy. i have another piece of apparel in the works… non homestuck this time!! it’s an undertale thing that ISNT mettaton! i can do other things!! see!! it’ll be both a button up short sleeved shirt and a nice pullover sweater. but i have a bad bad habit of taking on tooooo many projects at once (i am the most stressed and depressed guy of all time right now) so that one comes LATER. Later. we will get to it when we get to it!! after all these other thangs
so ya!! projects on projects on projects cuz i gotta pay bills but if i become a “content creator” i’ll [REDACTED] so!! i’m excited about all of these! these will all be fun even tho they are stressful :)
and ofc my other non merch projects. my normal art stuff. will continue forever and ever !!!!
i don’t really have a good pinned post describing who i am and what i do, or even a decent website (i have a carrd i guess) that puts all of my projects in one place. so i’m currently working on a funky website as well! so hopefully soon all of the stuff i make will be in one spot for ease of uh. looking at them HEHEHE

I thought up that Saiki/Billy/Danny poll on a lol but honestly I keep thinking about it. They're all so interesting as comparisons to each other.
Billy, aka captain marvel: young orphan boy with a heart of gold and a strong sense of justice getting into trouble for it. Sweet darling angel with huge authority issues and Will Fight And Lie over it. Wants to be a hero more than anything else but didn't really get a choice in becoming one. Destiny is strong with this one. Uses his newfound powers to save others and help everyone around him, preferring to talk his enemies down or outwit them but very good with violence. Keenly aware of how easy it would be to turn evil (with Adam) and refuses to ever follow that path. Would be in huge trouble if the government ever got him and he knows it.
Saiki: seemingly apathetic teenager with a heart of gold getting into trouble for it. Sarcastic and pithy, he prefers solitude and privacy but keeps getting semi willingly roped into doing 'friendship' stuff with his 'buddies' (who he'd die for). Easily bribed. Acts polite and obedient to fly under the radar but does not even slightly respect authority given his circumstances with his normal family and the numerous kidnapping and experimentation attempts from governments (and his older brother) since he was very young. Was born with his ever growing powers and every attempt to reduce or remove them has failed with the exception of his limiters, he doesn't want them but didn't really get a choice. Very avoidant or passive of conflict, preferring to save his rare world saving heroics for when he can't be discovered, he doesn't have a hero persona. But he's also very capable of great violence on massive scales when necessary. An unreliable narrator with a slight god complex despite his desperation for a normal human life. Conscious of how easy it would be to turn evil and determined to never follow that path. Would be in massive trouble if the government ever caught him and he's keenly aware.
Danny: sassy and punny teenager with a heart of gold getting into trouble for it. The fluke accident turning him part ghost also released the ghosts onto the town, and he feels it's his responsibility to stop them, before either side gets hurt or worse. A typical teenager with annoying teachers and parents who want to rip him molecule from molecule has left him with very little respect for authority (but it's better than the other two - just). Didn't really want to be a hero with powers but didn't really have a choice. Will sass people into making bad decisions (that usually ends with him upside down in a wall) and generally ready to throw down the second he senses a ghost (or a vlad). His encounters have left him with an iron clad set of morals and he's keenly aware of how easy it would be for him to turn evil, despite how much he refuses to become his worst nightmare. If the government ever got their hands on him he'd be deeply screwed and he knows it.
I'd honestly love to see the three teenage power houses meet, even if just to gripe and find understanding XD. They'd be such an interesting dynamic.
Saiki: *sipping a drink as the other two crash and wheel wildly overhead in a landscape destroying spar, mercilessly critiquing them both like he could do any better*
Billy: *desperately trying to stop his new friends from conning a conman in revenge for getting conned so easily themselves despite his warnings*
Danny: *deeply morbid humour about the fragility of life as he blasts music to the beat of the video game he's crushing the other two at until saiki blows up the TV*
Honestly these three would bring out the blackest humour in each other, it'd be so bad.
Billy would be the extrovert golden boy face of the group despite being just as ready to play dirty as them, Danny the one dragging them everywhere and daring them to do stupid things, and saiki the guy in the back acting above it all like he's not the easiest to provoke into dumb stuff. MENACES, the lot of them.
But I kind of like how their wildly abnormal childhoods and lives would find so many points of understanding with the others. They'd all benefit hugely from having others their age like them.

Omg, YES! Your last rant about Sauron x Galadriel! 👏👏👏 I also think it is very important to add that since he lost her brother to "Sauron" she is determined to find and end him. Sauron knows this and he knows that anger is the best drive to manipulate someone even better. So why not hop on that train as well? By telling her what she wants to hear, in hopes to twist her and misuse her powers for the bad. He also never was tortured by Melkor- He jumped on that "power" train as soon as he saw how good it feels and that is about it. I am all for the "Let the Villain just be a bad guy!" Instead of always these tragic backstories. He can be bad. He can be greedy and power hungry. And he does all to achieve his goals. Literally, everything. As long as there is him, and him alone conquering middle earth! SO YES! PREACH i will stand on that hill with you 👏👏
YES, exactly! 🙌🙌
Sauron used Finrod’s face to manipulate Galadriel, knowing full well how much her brother’s memory would haunt her and drive her, and somehow, people are still over here trying to spin that into a love story?
The guy didn’t just kill her brother—he went next level with it. He took her brother’s face, the image of someone she cherished and mourned, and used it to break her down. Like, he didn’t stop at your average villain shenanigans; he’s actively weaponizing her love and grief, twisting her memories to get her exactly where he wants her, and somehow people still want to call it a “love story”? Please.
Imagine being so warped and power-hungry that you’re willing to become the literal face of the person you personally tore away from her, just to deepen her pain and manipulate her more easily.
That’s not romance, that’s a psychological horror show. And let’s not forget, this is all part of his elaborate scheme to take her power for himself. He’s not trying to redeem himself, and he’s certainly not interested in being “saved” by love.
He’s interested in control, pure and simple. Sauron is not interested in love, never has been.
Sauron’s whole MO (Modus Operandi) is manipulation on the most brutal level possible.
He’s willing to play the long game, patiently winding her up, feeding into her rage and sorrow, because he knows she’s relentless in her pursuit of justice for her brother. And every step of the way, he’s using her own vulnerabilities against her.
What kind of twisted logic is it to call that love?
If anything, Sauron embodies the ultimate “bad boy” trope gone horribly, horribly wrong. This isn’t about tragic love or redemption arcs—this is about a dark lord who would burn the world down if it meant he got to rule the ashes. Galadriel’s resolve and her fight to resist his influence are actually what make her powerful. The fact that she doesn’t cave, that she keeps pushing back despite all he’s thrown at her, shows how much she values her freedom and strength.
So yeah, I’m sorry (actually, I’m not, let's be real) if I can’t see this as some “star-crossed lovers” tale. This isn’t a ship; it’s a one-way ticket to trauma town, courtesy of a power-crazed villain who’ll stop at nothing to get what he wants. And if anyone still wants to call it love, I’ve got some prime real estate in Mordor to sell them.
And yes, thank you for pointing out that Sauron’s power trip wasn’t born from some tragic, Melkor-induced trauma. He was ready to jump on that “power train” from day. One.
He saw what Melkor was doing and thought, “Yes, please, I’ll take some of that for myself!”
Sauron wasn’t forced into evil: he chose it because he wanted it.
He’s greedy, manipulative, power-hungry, and honestly, he’s damn good at it. And while I love a complex villain, sometimes it’s refreshing to just have one who’s purely driven by ambition and self-interest without a sob story to soften his edges.
If people want a tragic, doomed romance, fine.
But this? This isn’t it.
Sauron’s only romance is with power, and he’s willing to destroy anything, anyone—including Galadriel’s family, friends, close ones, cities—to get it.
And let’s be real, if he genuinely “loved” her, he wouldn’t be ripping apart her life and gaslighting her to death for his own ends. She’s not his “fixer” or his therapist.
Galadriel is his target, and he’d use every tool in his twisted little arsenal to see her kneel before him.
So yeah, let’s stop sugarcoating Sauron’s manipulation tactics as some misunderstood, “tragic lover” situation. He’s exactly the villain we deserve—ruthless, cunning, and absolutely obsessed with conquest, not with Galadriel’s heart.
And if calling that out means we’re the ones holding this hill, well then, pass the banners cause I'm making camp! XD

Welcome, traveller
Seraph-Chim's the name; being only vaguely strange is my game.
At first, I didn't think there was really much else to know before looking through my blog. I'm generally an open book; I figured my posts and reblogs would speak for themselves about who I am.
However, after a few months of really being active on this site, it seems that I was wrong.
Here are the most crucial parts about myself:
Sexuality: honestly it's complicated. I've been sexually and romantically attracted to people of many genders, so normally I'd count this as bisexual, but I'm also sex-repulsed. That's right folks, you heard it here first! There is such a thing as a sex-repulsed allosexual, and you've had the great fortune of stumbling across one of our blogs!
Gender identity: This is another complicated one. I've had a bit of a journey reaching this conclusion, which you can check out in my #about gender posts (as of now, there may be a couple missing! am currently in the painstakingly slow process of organizing this blog ;v;), but the long and short of it is that I'm simultaneously every gender and nothing at all. As such, anyone is free to use any gendered or non-gendered terms which feel the most accurate at the time (or are the funniest in context >:}). I do use it/its as well, often in the first person; regarding neos, my favorite ones are ci/cim/cir or ki/kem/ker, but again, just say whatever feels accurate.
Kintypes: I'm an angel and a stormkin! This is also... say it with me now... complicated. Being an angel is easy to explain: humans, like angels, are spiritual creatures which take a variety of forms and have a variety of strengths, who may or may not choose to devote themselves to a higher being or goal. It's a little bit difficult for me to summarize for someone who doesn't already have some kind of framework for it, but basically you can think of my soul as being a different shape from other humans', which is why I describe myself as an angel/angelkin. I've been an angel for my whole life. Being stormkin is a little different for me; it's less that I am a storm and more that storms and wind are my family. I was adopted, or perhaps adopted myself to them, a few years ago, but we've always been good friends.
Fandoms: This and that, but lately? Mostly Gravity Falls; and I'm a Billford shipper. This doesn't mean that I think their relationship is or ever was healthy or ideal. It means that I recognize the spark, the passion, the compatibility, and I love seeing them interact in any context.
And now, the scary part.
I'm a Christian. I love being a Christian, more than I love any of the things I've mentioned about myself, because I love my god. I love Him more than anyone or anything else. He saved my life over and over despite who I was and am, because He's just that kinda guy and He's powerful enough to do it.
However, I know that saying all of that doesn't mean much in this world; certainly, on tumblr dot com, it's more likely to get me blocked or ignored than much else. I'm incredibly fortunate that my first mutual here, now a much beloved friend, was someone who understood me as myself without jumping to any conclusions because of my faith.
So here's a brief summary of where I stand, morally and philosophically, about all of the above statements.
Sexuality: Love is love, affection is affection, attraction is attraction. God gave us feelings in order to make sense of and make the most of this world He's made; all the good He's put into it, and all the bad that's come into it. Feelings are not only a proof of who we are, but also an instrument by which we thrive. Feelings are a morally good thing. I am of the belief that they don't have to define or control us. In much the same way we must train ourselves not to lose our tempers, the life I have chosen also begs me not to lose my head over any individual, regardless of sex. I can love whomever I choose, and I can spend my life with whomever I choose, but I will not allow myself to have sex with anyone I'm not married to, and I will not allow myself to marry more than one person of the opposite sex from myself. As for my sex-repulsion, that is a byproduct of past trauma, which I will not go into detail about here. It's something I live with, and which causes me to hate myself, so of course it's not ideal; on the other hand, feelings are a handy tool, yes? I've chosen to hold onto it, and together, God and I are slowly molding it into something healthier and less self-destructive.
Gender identity: Really, I'm just me. God made me who I am, and if that means a soul that doesn't look like the body it's tied to, so what? He loves variety, sue Him. For the sake of the people around me, I've talked with Him at length, and we've come to a deal: I'll get gender-affirming surgery when I'm 50. Till then, I can express my gender in any way I please, so long as this precious vessel goes relatively undamaged as a result. If this is how I view myself, who am I to tell anyone else what their soul looks like? I do believe in practicing discernment, of course–someone who's grown up in a home heavily biased against a certain gender, for instance, is likely to lean away from expression of that gender for emotional survival, given the choice; and a repeated sex offender is, of course, going to tell any lie that may keep them out of trouble–but generally? Until you can prove yourself wrong, I'll take your words at face value. (In this vein, I do think that our society has lost hold of what being a Man or a Woman means, aside from the false dichotomy of gender itself. Perhaps all this genderfuckery is our way of searching for it? Certainly, I hope to someday understand it.)
Kintypes: Similar to gender, who cares if my soul doesn't look like other human souls? Being an angel in the way that I am isn't so uncommon amongst Christians as one might think, and being close with the wind and rain just means God has given me yet another way to listen to His voice and worship Him. Believing in God, and believing that He's good, of course I believe in an Enemy, a demonic source of evil; but unless a demon talks to me, what can I know of its nature? Being otherkin, alterhuman, non-human, or therian doesn't automatically point to demonization, in my opinion. I have seen a great number of angels who believe that this life is a punishment or proof of abandonment from God, and that is a lie, but the being is not necessarily. As for godkins, I have no reason not to believe you, either. My god already calls humans "little gods," and all spiritual creatures, god or not, are called "elohim." If you say your soul is more elohim-shaped in a godly way than mine or other humans, why should I not believe you? If you have old memories, or muted abilities and affinities, what difference does it make to me? We're cousins, you and I, in a way we can never be with other kintypes.
Fandoms: Fantasy, obviously, is a fiction. Humans share stories that mean something to us, it's what we were made to do, so there's nothing wrong with it.
Religion: I have placed my belief in one God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible; and in one Lord, Jesus Christ, Son of God, the only-begotten, born of the Father before all ages. Light from light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, one in essence with the Father; through Him all things were made. For us and for our salvation, He came down from heaven and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary, and became man. He was crucified by Pontius Pilate, and suffered and was buried. He rose on the third day according to the scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father, and He is coming again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and His kingdom will have no end. And I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the Creator of Life, who proceeds from the Father. Together with the Father and the Son, He is worshipped and glorified; He spoke through the prophets. I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. I have been baptized by the Holy Spirit for the remission of sin, and as a public sacrament for the denouncing of it. I wait here, eagerly and expectantly, for the resurrection of the dead among you and of those of my brethren who have passed on, and for the life of the world to come. This does not mean that I dismiss other gods nor the various magics as fairy tales; only that, by nature, I am opposed to those powers which would keep us all from the one God with enough love and power to anoint Himself with His own wrath in order to defeat the spiritual death into which we are born by inheritance, and someday soon, to kill death altogether.
If you've read this far, thank you for your time! Know that I love you, and that I'm able to because my god decided that we each were worth something more than mere dust.

For the Send Me a Character meme, Coriolanus Snow please.
Ask Game Thanks, anon! I'm keeping this mostly to Snow in tbosas, because I really need to re-read the OG trilogy. (also I fell asleep writing this last night for me, and my laptop died and I had to start over, so that's why I had to take a break for a bit from answering these)
My first impression
He is the villain. (no judgment) Read this as "he's just a guy filling his role in the narrative" type comment. I was like nine when I first read THG… I wasn't having the deepest thoughts. I did like him as a character though! But there were no deeper thoughts than "he's a good villain!"
My impression now
He's so interesting! Like I don't talk about him that much but I feel like there's so much to talk about! I really love hearing my mutuals talk about him! There's so much there!
Favorite thing about that character
The way that he is shown to be capable of empathy and has every reason to not accept/support the Capitol, but he does! He does! What a tragedy! You could have put the pieces together and realized that this system is broken and will only ever harm you, and he decides to try and control it instead.
Least favorite thing
I think some people on Discord brought it up recently (el, was it el?), but his plastic surgery being kind of used to accentuate his villainy felt like a bad stereotype.
Favorite line/scene
How awful, Coriolanus thought. To have you be the first person in the world a baby sees. (Ch. 16)
Genuinely, so funny, and the rest of that scene… well, it's my favorite interaction.
Favorite interaction that character has with another
Continuing on from the scene above! Just Volumnia sharing her worldview with him! While she's stitching him up! (He's her creature :) ) She also is sharing this "we are all inherently violent" worldview with him right after he killed Bobbin… she's like offering him an emotional out. An kind of escape from guilt (whether she know it or not). Absolution. It's okay/normal you killed someone, Coriolanus! It's human nature <- according to Volumnia's worldview.
A character that I wish that character would interact with more
Making eye contact with my url and pfp… Felix… Please, Coriolanus. For me. Prove me right. Prove my weird "I'm who you should be" jealousy (on both sides) correct.
Another character from another fandom that reminds me of that character
John Gaius from The Locked Tomb! I've made the comparison before, and I won't get too into it lest I insert more TLT spoilers onto my blog.
A headcanon about that character
He does have a soft spot for the people he grew up with! Especially Clemensia and Festus! I also, however, don't think that it would save them if they become too much of a threat in his eyes, but he'd be more willing to ignore the possibility of them becoming a threat for longer than others.
(i also think that he probably kills a good chunk of his classmates, but not all of them. I think some people died more normal death, maybe a rebel attempt at an attack, maybe other Capitolite's climbing the ladder. I think he kills enough of them that some of the others suspect, and the growing horror of that person who was some sort of friend to you in the past. mwah! that's enough for me!)
A song that reminds of that character
A Mark On You by the Mountain Goats. Guys, you reached the depths of my ability to think up songs. idk if I can articulate why with this one. It's not the style for sure. But the lyrics. There's something there for me.
An unpopular opinion about that character
This isn't really an unpopular opinion, but every time I see one of those posts going around about how you shouldn't thirst over young Snow, I always think "honestly, I'm really shocked that there wasn't this level of thirst for older Snow." But also I like hanging out at the geriatric ward of Panem so maybe I'm biased.
Also again, not really an unpopular opinion where I hang out but maybe out in the world, it is idk. I don't think he's a lady's man or anything like that. I don't think he's like sleeping around even when he gains confidence after becoming financially secure. (but I respect everyone's different interpretations!)
Favorite picture
Tumblr media
I mean... of course, it's from one of my favorite scenes!
But also I love Snow laughing at his execution <3

The Mitchells vs. The Machines
Hello! I like watching movies. Ideas get stuck in my head while watching them and i need them out of my brain. This is my 4/9/24 viewing of The Mitchells vs. The Machines. I like cartoons :)
This will have spoilers
Without further ado... my thoughts chronologicall
PROLONGED EYE CONTACT DODODODOD
The main VA is Abbie Jacobson (aka Princess Tiabeanie Mariabeanie de la Rochambeau Grunkwitz)
this family reminds me so much of mine minus depression and a commitment to a cult :)
girl its probably a good thing you weren't at the tech reveal. be nice to the siris, alexas and echos in your life...
i kinda wanna watch that robot movie with Will Smith and hot robots now
THEY ALL HAVE STIMS GUYS
running away from your crush and saying you hate them is so real
"what are these? robutts?"
HES TAKING NOTES
I like that the new genre of villian is a tech bro and AI
I dont like this bit about wifi, we are dependent on it yeah but people can adapt pretty well. Well some I guess.
why do dads always suggest eating the family pet?
i cannot express how autistic this family is. its constant, not demeaning or the butt of a joke. just a family being a family. I have flappy hands about it.
aww dads do love to teach their kids to drive stick shift
i do like Eric and Barbara
the robots are shooting the humans into space, that's their plan and honestly i've been saying we should shoot garbage into space for a while now so im glad somone is finally doing it
there are cute edits done by katie through the whole movie and they deserve a shout out
I knew touch screen fridges were a bad idea
NOT FURBYS WTF WHY THIS IS MY NIGHTMARE
"your whole lives i wanted to save you from disater and this is the moment ive been waiting for" - Rick (and also my father)
KATIE DRAWS ON HER HANDS TOO OMG THE DETAILS. THERE IS SO MUCH STIMMING AND IT MAKES ME HAPPY EVERY TIME
This is good family bonding, but no tears yet.
unfortunately i think the family bonding was to good. The dad left a sentimental object in katies bags and now im convinced hes gonna sacrifice himself to save the rest of the family.
now im crying. :) if you watched i bet you could guess which part.
oof crying again! a Twofer!
This movie may be healing my childhood trauma. I miss my parents. They were just doing their best
THE CALL BACKS. THE CULMANATION! ITS MAKING ME EMOTIONAL IM SORRY
thank you game grumps for introducing me to the song "Walk the Dinosaur" by Was (not was)
An accurate compilation of watching my coworkers and professors use computers
uh oh they got little brother, Linda is gonna rip out someone's heart
OH MY GOD I JUST THOUGHT SHE WAS GONNA GET MAD
ERIC AND BARBARA SUPREMECY
damn i need to see my family so i can remember why i hate them bc this is to sweet for me
TEAM E AND B! TEAM E AND B!
How long of a break between the entire world being abducted by robots and everyone going back to work was? Do you think this was like their pandemic
"My name is Monchi, king of kings: Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair"
THEYRE BASED ON A REAL FAMILY (and the whole family has "im easily overstimulated" hair cuts, its so relatable)
It's cheesy. full of stuff you know is meant for kids and that corporate made them do. but I really liked it. I know the whole bit is that the family is weird. I don't really like that they used the word weird instead of autistic but i can kinda understand why they had to do it. i found myself relating the characters constantly. The way they run away when things get overwhelming, communicate through their interests, stim when they have big feelings (they all have their own, and most of them have a couple they do) and the way the situation their in affects them. It is not perfect representation but it did a good enough job for me.
If you read all the way through thank you! If you have any formatting tips please lmk!
Also I feel the silly need to add, this is all my opinion, and my opinion is not fact! It's okay if we don't agree and if you're nice, I would love to hear about it :)

Yo! I saw the long post about Vivienne and you mentioned your own take and headcanons on Solas and I was hoping you could rant about them please?
Sure man.
If I remember the post right, in it I was talking about canon Solas vs how I would have done him, so that’s what I’ll answer. Apologies if I’m misremembering.
When I played DAI, I had known some spoilers, but mostly without any detail. IE I knew he was Fen’Harel, and there’s some confrontation at the end with him because of it. I knew Flemeth was Mythal. I knew he had set elves free from the other elven gods who practiced slavery. That was about it.
I (wrongly) assumed they were on opposite sides, which honestly would have been funny as hell to watch since neither wants to be publicly outed.
Until Trespasser put his characterization through a wood chipper (and their established canon), he was pretty consistent, and I’d have kept him that way. He claims in Trespasser that he didn’t even see other people as people because of how short lived they are, and he’s got no interest in improving the existing world because he’s going to magic nuke it for restoration (why??? Love that even the devs didn’t know by the end of tresspasser lmao and had to say ‘uhm good question. Next?’). His character in-game before then is explicitly super different and contrary to that. Like, he sure gave a shit about me delivering flowers for a widower and human mage rights for someone who doesn’t see them as people at the time. 🤔
Anyway. My hcs would be how I saw him pre-tresspasser, and how I thought things would go. I wouldn’t have retconned the elven gods being gods (one it’s super racist).
I loved the idea of how he seems. I played all the games back to back in order, and you get these fragments. The wolf statues outside Dalish camps because he’s not exactly welcome in, but he’s honored. He’s seen as a traitor and a trickster because he trapped the gods. But you know there’s more there. You get the Fang of Fen’Harel as a weapon in my origin. And you hear about the war of dales, and how it’s said the warriors fighting for their last homes were each accompanied by a wolf.
You’ve got these thousands of years of history. Of a people group who used to live forever, and lost it to humanity. Who then humans did settler colonialism apartheid to, and stole from, and killed, and enslaved, and tried to erase the culture and history and territory and lives of. And they’ve been fighting. They fought to stay, they fought to keep their reservations in the war of the dales, and the roaming tribes still fight now.
And you’ve got Fen’Harel. You’ve got Solas, who has been alive for so long. Who fought for his people against the other gods, to set them free, from slavery. Who chose mortals over his own. And he did it. He did the impossible and shut out the sky. He saved everyone. By himself. Him alone.
And because of it, elves were conquered by humans. They die faster, they were sold, they were murdered. Decimated.
And he for all his fighting, takes in myth the fall as a traitor to the good gods. No one knows the truth.
And he’s alone now, but he’s still fighting for them. He’s the wolf beside every warrior, dying again and again, but even a god on the battlefield isn’t enough, and they lose, again.
They are beaten back, again. Even their shitty ‘gifted’ lands from their conquerors are whittled at. They paint the sign of their enslavement to other gods on their face, not knowing the past, and he’s the bad guy in stories.
By the time you reach DAI, you’ve got someone who has been utterly alone, fighting in the trenches, for centuries. He says he doesn’t fit in with the Dalish, which makes no sense for a ‘canon’ ‘I was awake 2 years and decided to nuke the world was the only way’ Solas, but makes 100% sense for an old god who is living in the wreckage, again and again, of all his good intentions. There is no one like him. And his suggestions for things to try get him shut out of communities.
It’s someone very desperate, with almost nothing left to lose, and all out of hope. He’s tried the ‘better’ way 1000 times.
And it never matters. It never changes anything, it never saves anyone, it never even changes how he is remembered.
He gave everything and obliterated his species, the gods, for a people he still failed, after everything, to save. And yet he’s still trying.
You get the events of DAI, and this incredibly lonely person, who kind of knows from before day 1 what he’s going to have to do. And this group that all manages to include each other, despite their hatreds and pasts, except him. Notably, Varric /only/ leaves Solas out of the party event. Only him. The only people who spend any time with him are Cole, who knows, and determinately, the Inquisitor, who doesn’t. Assuming you play a good inquisitor, and you’re nice to him, he gets one person. Same species, or enemy species, or if a Qunari like mine, a species that could not be more different. But still. One person, willing to listen and shift blame away from the elves, who are demonized for everything. To support mages, imprisoned from birth. Who is trying to make the world good, and young enough to believe it can be done. And he gets a friend, for this brief time. For the first time in more than a thousand years.
He cares, and he’s smart. He routinely likes being nice to the little people. He also likes smart plans, and he’s extremely self confident. He wears a great mask, too. He really does. Easily one of the funniest times all game was watching that slip twice after the ball because he had such a fantastic time he forgot he was pretending to be some rando and beefed it three times in a row in convo.
And the world gets a little better, if you play your cards right, thanks to Anders and the mage rebellion, and Brialla, and the Inquisitor. To a lot of things.
But the world hasn’t changed for elves. The world doesn’t change in a day, and no power in history has ever stopped oppressing a minority only because they asked nicely and protested in peace. So to him, the Inquisition is a vacation almost. Or a last meal. It’s being good and alive and liked, and having at least a tiny community of two or three, for an instant.
I think that makes dying harder.
You see in the fade that being alone is what he’s afraid of, and how can it not be? He’s been abandoned by justice and the world and his kind and his people. He has been abandoned by everything. He has nothing.
But that’s never stopped him before. I think he’s a very ‘Freedom or death.’ And if I was making it, I’d have just done a Code Geass again I mean 1–they’ve ripped it off twice already, and 2–if it slaps it slaps. They’re under-utilized plot setups anyway. There’s no way the elves will get their freedom and land back peacefully from the Chantry, and humans in general. He’s got thousands of years of heartbreak and concrete proof. So he’ll do what he’s always done. Play the villain. It doesn’t matter if the result is worth it. Save his people, no matter the cost, and be remembered forever as the bad guy. Go as hard as he can, as far as he can, and as alone as he can. Seize power, and take over. Decimate human lands and places of power, so his can take back what is theirs. Not with the help of elves, but with the artifacts he’s found, with the fade, with himself. Be intentionally so awful the elves team up with the rest of Thedas to fight him, which will help their reputation when this is over. Give them a common enemy, while destroying the system that couldn’t be changed, until it /cannot/ come back. Destroy what the humans have built until it /can’t/ go back to the way it was, with them as conquerors, and let everyone hate him for how far he’s willing to go, and how many he’s willing to kill on the way. And once he’s got enough to have truly changed things, let them hunt him down together and kill the dread wolf to sate their hate and usher in a new era of peace, heroes, where it’s the elves who have the most left to rebuild from. The systems of military might and political power of all those who tormented the elves are burned and salted to the ground. And everyone has been forced to work together.
It makes him refusing even an elven inquisitor’s help make sense. You can’t come, when the plan is to play the villain, and die it. You’re the only person he had.
Which would leave an inquisitor who knows Solas, in the awful position of helping him, and that choice being used as evidence of the evilness of their species by everyone (if they aren’t human), as well as evidence against all the good causes they’ve supported or been able to establish; or, fight him, knowing he’s being the villain so no one else has to, and let him die alone, knowing it’s his biggest fear, after a lifetime of giving everything he’s got and being remembered as a monster.

Hi WQA I hope everything’s been good!
I wanted to know- how do I depict a character arc of “reluctant hero/chosen one” without it being… how to explain it? Like the usual Disney type of stuff?
I want my MC to be given a power that they do not want to deal with and are now stuck with- plus leading a bunch of peeps to destroy the big bad guy- but I really have no idea (I mean I have a few story beats in mind but it’s still REALLY fuzzy yknow?) how to show them going from “ew I don’t want to deal with this” to becoming a leader and eventual ruler- how do I depict the arc?
Thank you very much friend!
Non-Cliché Reluctant Hero/Chosen One Arc
There are some specific things that make the Chosen One arc cliché, and honestly, not great a lot of the time. We'll go through some of those things and talk about what can be done instead.
1 - Fate vs Destiny - One of the biggest issues of the Chosen One trope is that all too often, the hero--whether reluctant or not--doesn't have a choice in their role as the Chosen One. They are fated to do the thing that only they can do, so every decision they make is preordained to lead to that outcome. If they're fated to save the world by sacrificing themselves, that's going to happen no matter what. This strips them of any agency they might have in the story. There is the illusion of choice, but all roads lead to their fate. And, honestly, it's not much fun to watch someone rise to greatness when it's the only possible outcome. Solution: Destiny can be changed... it can be shaped by choices. If a character is destined to save the world by sacrificing themselves, that outcome can be avoided. They can find a way to save the world without sacrificing themselves. They could even refuse the call if it somehow set off a chain of events that still led to the world being saved. A Chosen One with agency is much more satisfying to watch than one who is doomed to their fate.
2 - Give Them a Choice or Make Refusal an Option - Prophecies (which can be fate or destiny), bloodlines, or being the only one in possession of a unique gift leaves little to no room for choice. They didn't choose to get involved with a particular cause. And if they'd refused the call, they would have looked terrible. They may have agency later on in that their choices actually matter, but what difference does it make if they're making choices in service of a cause they had no choice but to accept? Solution Option #1: Put them on their path by choice. For example, in The Hunger Games, if Katniss's name had been pulled from the Reaping ball, she wouldn't have had any choice in being a tribute. But because it was her sister's name that was chosen, she made the choice to volunteer to take her place. Since she was the first person in District 12 ever to volunteer as tribute, no one would have expected her to make that sacrifice, and we as the reader wouldn't have even known it was possible. So, while from an emotional and moral perspective, there was really no other choice she could have made (she wasn't going to let that happen to her beloved sister), she still made the choice. She was still the master of her own destiny, and continued to be as the story went on. It can also be argued that volunteering as tribute wasn't even the thing that made Katniss the Chosen One, but rather her behavior and actions during the games that earned her a role as the icon of rebellion. So, "hero-by-deed" is another option to give your character some choice in their role. Solution Option #2: Give them a viable alternative, but one which has an undesirable drawback. For example, let's say your character has a unique magical gift and that's why they're chosen, but whoever delivers the call gives them the option to transfer that ability via magical spell to another person. The drawback is the gift won't be quite as potent in another person, and also they'll lose all their memories associated with ever having or using that gift. Now they have a viable choice. They might lose their unique ability and all associated memories, but they don't have to be in a situation they didn't choose.
3 - Prophecy for the Sake of Prophecy - Too often, prophecy is used as the basis of why the character is the Chosen One, however the prophecy is superficial and serves no other purpose. Solution: If you use a prophecy as the basis of why your character is the Chosen One, make sure the prophecy is fleshed out, relevant to the world and plot, and serves more purpose than being an explanation.
4 - Salvation in the Hands of a Child - Another Chosen One cliché is when the Chosen One--whether a child, young adult, or amateur--is surrounded by people who are better skilled, more knowledgeable, and better qualified to save the day, but still somehow the fate of the universe rests on the Chosen One's shoulders. Solution: Make sure there's a reason why the character, despite lacking in qualifications, is still the best option to save the day. Also, have them receiving lots of help and guidance from the more qualified people around them. Let them struggle as they acquire new skills, and have them really need that help from others. It should be a group effort to some degree. Let other characters be important.
5 - Proficiency at Lightning Speed - There are few things that make a reader's eyes roll faster in a Chosen One story than when the previously uninitiated Chosen One answers the call, then very quickly becomes proficient in whatever skills are needed in order for them to fulfill their destiny. Solution: Again, let them struggle as they acquire the necessary skills. It should take a believable amount of time for them to do the thing well, and there should bot lots of failures and setbacks. As much as I hated the Disney+ sequel to Willow, one thing they did right is have their Chosen One really struggle with learning to use and control the magic that was in them all along. It was pretty close to the end of the season before they became adept enough to really make a difference.
Bonus - Here's a lightning round of things to avoid: the over-the-top underdog Chosen One, the "All Powerful" Chosen One, the Chosen One who never has to make tough decisions, the Chosen One who is ordinary for no reason, the Chosen One who is defined by their destiny, the Chosen One who is special for the sake of being special, the Chosen One who has no autonomy and no agency, the Chosen One who only puts others first and never considers their own safety/wants/needs, the Chosen One who doesn't get to have a life beyond their Chosen One role.
Happy writing!

hidan!!! for the ask game
YES right to it
obviously this is going to be a long post
you've been warned !
favorite thing about them: oh man. i think he's a really unique character. he's only like 2% justified in his anger and he makes it everyone else's problem. he's never depicted as anything BUT evil. the shinobi world is insane right? toddlers are raised as soldiers the second they can hold a knife. and so was he, no different from the rest of them. and the series Doesn't like to push that blame onto people, really early on you hear about all the awful things zabuza did and at the end of their battle he still dies as a respectable shinobi. BUT from start to end with hidan he is ONLY bad. he's doing this for FUN he's not doing it for a mission, he's not doing it because he needs to do it to survive like it was NEVER in question that this guy is JUST EVIL. but you CAN find these human sides to him. he has a Real bond with kakuzu, like they Actually are concerned for each other. in Akatsuki Hiden he meets a kid and he forms a bond with That Kid to the point of giving him funeral rites (burial rites?) when he dies. not as a sacrifice but as someone he cared about. when his village turned on him and he felt REAL betrayal. if he didn't care about them to some extent, he wouldn't still be mad about it. it's just FASCINATING.
least favorite thing about them: i don't even think there's anything i don't like about him. he's so fucking annoying and if i had to deal with him i'd try to kill him too BUT because i don't have to deal with him he's my best friend i like him SO much
favorite line: to be so transparent i like when he's picking on kakuzu for keeping the headband for him.
AND if i can use the book - i like this, it's less about the line itself but more about the repetition of it. like this is how they start every fight and i just think that's delightful
Tumblr media
brOTP: y'all already know it's kisame. my defense for this has absolutely no basis in their interactions because honestly? kisame doesn't care for him too much. HOWEVER kisame is the easiest akatsuki member to get along with and hidan is basically impossible to get along with. i think it's a good match.
OTP: kakuhida, motherfuckers. they're everything to me. they were on screen for all of three seconds and i already knew that was it. i haven't been normal about them since. and they're canon as far as i'm concerned. stated or not they were Something.
nOTP: k*nan (sorry for censoring you name queen i don't want it to be searchable) i have such a Visceral reaction to them together i Cannot stand it. their characterization is so BUTCHERED for that ship that they become Unrecognizable. and i don't fucking get it like ??? yes they're both hot PICK ANYONE ELSE. also shipping him with any of the kids. like. that's not cute. he's young but he's not that young also holy shit they don't deserve that anyway
random headcanon: i probably mentioned this somewhere before and it's so easy but i think his favorite color's pink. like red sure because i mean look at him but also. Pink. i like pink for him.
unpopular opinion: i've touched on this before i don't think jashinism is real. i think he made it up and i think maybe he's convinced himself it's real. but i don't think there is a single other person who's ever heard of or tried to join the religion before. there's the kid i mentioned from the book but he learned straight from hidan, and then goddamned ryuki from boruto who i swear to God the writers wanted him to literally be hidan but they weren't allowed. neither of which really compel me to believe it. it just doesn't make tons of sense
song i associate with them: ouuh choke on one another death spells. that's been a big one recently
favorite picture of them:
Tumblr media
favorite's a big word but i had this one saved to my phone which is probably good enough
OKAY 10000 points if you made it to the end you win idk what you win but you win

Mauvier is another serviceable late-game pre-promote who is strong enough at base to be useful for any team. The thing here is that Engage has ridiculously low deployment slots, so the chances you have a large team with a lot of investment put into it is very low, and Mauvier is (at base) stronger than all the other characters! And from this map onwards you get more deployment slots, there is little reason not to use him because statistically your other guys won’t be up to par. He just works and won’t be a burden for the huge majority of players. Emphasis on the word Just. He is Good but not amazing.
Character wise. Replacement husband came in! He initially was my choice to marry before Vander stole my heart due to design alone, but now that Vander is dead, he is back on the table. Hmmm, I think his character in the main story is moronic to a point where he is off-putting but at least he was interesting enough in the few supports I’ve seen to still like him. Religion talk? In MY zero-world building Engage??? Consider me intrigued.
The main problem with Mauvier is that his status as a reluctant villain is mostly centered in his relationship with Veyle (and the other Hounds) and yeah LOL there is nothing there. This character does not look good any way you look at him. Does he actually care about Veyle? Then why did he wait until the last possible second to get her out of her terrible situation? He is awful. Is he bound by his religion? Not really, he changes his tune for Veyle’s sake and joins his equivalent of Satan to save her. This is just not a Well Thought out character at all. But he gets a pass for being cute.
Tumblr media
Final unit of the game! Veyle works for the same reasons Mauvier does but unlike Mauvier she would actually hold a candle without the deployment slot problem. She is solid and would be a good asset for my team if… she didn’t immediately die in my playthrough. Oops!
I could talk for hours why Veyle just fucking sucks but I am feeling sleepy enough to just talk about it for a few paragraphs. She is probably one of the worst characters in the entire series. So much time is wasted on her and her terrible story about reuniting with her family and none of it works. Veyle falls into every shitty JRPG trope I hate without fail.  Acts like a 3-year-old when she is supposed to be much more mature? Check. Mind manipulation for drite drama? Check! Incest and pedo undertones? Also check!
Veyle just does NOT work. So much of her character dangles into her relationships with other people and none of it is explored. She is supposed to care about us because we are her long-lost sibling. Do we get glimpses into this relationship? Nope. And in the present she likes us because we talked her once. She is bound to the bad guys because of her evil father. Do we get to see their abusive relationship? Not even a scene with them before she rebels. Alright. The Four Hounds are OBVIOUSLY terrible. Why is Veyle hanging out with them? We do get a few scenes with Veyle and the Hounds and the manipulation tactics on display are what you would expect from a Nickelodeon show. Engage. DECIDE your tone. Are you a parody game? Are you a game for 7 year olds? Are you trying to be a super duper serious story about abusive parent-child relationships? What are you trying to be???
Veyle honestly encapsules everything that is terrible about the story of Engage. I refuse to think her story was written with any sincerity because there is nothing of substance here. She even looks completely out of place design wise. I know Engage gets a lot of shit for it’s designs but while they are very hit or miss for me the only one I truly hate is hers. She doesn’t look in-line with the rest of the fashion of the game. She does NOT look like our sibling in any way whatsoever. She feels out of place enough to personally consider her a bad DeviantArt OC. And I do not say this lightly.
Sorry, as you can tell I really hate this character, she really sours my experience every time she appears.

i think it has been long enough so i can say this, bg3 ending spoilers ahead
bg3 only has one (1) ending, every other 'ending' is just non-standard gameover
and the 'evil' playthrough isn't complete as well
the one (1) ending is where you tell the netherbrain to commit die, and the gate prevails once more, if you try to do anything else you get:
try to take the brain for yourself and conquer the world? illithid gamer chair, fade to black
same as 1 but you do it for bhaal instead? illithid gamer chair, fade to black
try to save the world but you didn't resist bhaal? well too fucking bad he takes over regardless of of your choices, and there's four of them, first three will result in him taking your body, which doesn't even work in the cutscene because right after he does the game cuts to you rushing to karlach LMAO
Tumblr media
4. 4th choice will let you kill yourself before bhaal could take over, which honestly goes pretty hard i won't lie i just wish it lasted more than 20 seconds
Tumblr media
every other 'variance' is not even part of the ending to the actual 'plot', they are character endings i.e. lae'zel going to war w vlaakith or not, sending wyll and karlach both to avernus, etc
this is why i was also thinking they just didn't cook 'evil' playthrough enough because if you are evil most choices actually don't matter
unless i've missed something, which i very much could have, when i killed isobel (through killing aylin) i couldn't find jaheira anywhere, not even a body, the game implies that she's '''''retired''''' instead of killed off so i assumed i could find her in act 3? nope just literally nothing, friend who was watching me play was confused as well
and from what i've heard minthara doesn't even have her own personal quest, unlike halsin, which is bonkers, i don't even like her but i hope all minthara enjoyers out there get what they want
volo criticizes you for being awful and then... just peaces out, never to be seen again
Tumblr media
i will give them that if you are a paladin durge, sarevok actually makes a comment on it
Tumblr media
and of course the interaction with helsik in general
Tumblr media
it's upsetting that they imply ascendant astarion could make a difference, but of course it doesn't
and then allying with gortash also makes no difference my guy just gets snapped regardless
idk, if i have to put how i feel about an evil playthrough in an easy way, it would be "it's unserious" because it is lmao they clearly are trying to nudge you into being 'good' which is fine and all but i just wish being 'bad' made more sense without the game trying to guilt trip you back into being 'good' because even with my complains i still had a lot of fun, just wish they have real 'alternate' endings
end rant, i just wanted to get this out of my system
and maybe we will have a proper durgetash ending in bg3 definitive edition *gets shot*

maybe i'll make a cleaner post about this later but it seems so obviously dissonant with the themes of 999 and VLR that Zero's motivation would be so batshit insane and selfish. because obviously "let's save the world!" was not his primary motivation and no matter how many times a character says "my motives are complex" it doesn't make it true. especially because the characters in this game include Akane, Sigma, Phi, and Junpei.....who are all legacy characters with a really strong moral code, 3 of whom are ALREADY taking actions to save the world and would definitely take further action if they KNEW there was more shit to be working on.
what's REALLY strong about 999 and VLR is that the characters go through a bunch of crazy suffering, some of which is by Zero's design and some of which is caused by the randomness of 9 separate characters having 9 separate belief systems and motivations. but then, when you get to the end of the game, it makes sense that things HAD to progress in the way they did to get to the end result, which is generally pretty selfless and did not intend harm on the participants. and most of the really nefarious stuff that happened was the result of the players themselves jumping to conclusions and taking drastic actions.
at the end of ZTD, you DEFINITELY do not feel like "wow, that was crazy, but also this was the only solution to a batshit insane problem". you feel like "who is this guy and why did he do all that". i did honestly enjoy the over the top violence and edginess of ZTD but it did not make sense in the story and honestly all it really does is make you distrust Delta.
also part of this is an issue with ZTD having three protagonists too who are split up into three groups...there's less space to play around with how people are motivated because there's less "bad actors". pretty much everyone in the game is acting selflessly and rationally besides Eric and Mina. to me at least it seemed like it was implied every time a protagonist character made an immoral choice, that was possibly the result of Delta's mind control. so if pretty much everyone has the same goal and no one wants to make selfish choices, the character driven conflict from previous games just isn't there.
i did have a good time playing it but i'm REALLY glad i came back to it many months after playing VLR and also that i had no spoilers. the story stuff that worked, worked! and i enjoyed that stuff! and the story stuff that was stupid was stupid and i'm just going to laugh about it for a little bit.

my thoughts while watching tlou episode 9:
holy shit so the reason ellie is immune is bc her mom was infected while giving birth to her
her mom’s actress looks so much like bella
joel is actually acting like her dad now :(
i know she learns how to play guitar later on
awww i saw the game giraffe scene this is so cute
this is too good rn… smth bad is gonna happen that’s gonna make me sob
ILL FOLLOW YOU ANYWHERE YOU GO
I WAS THE GUY WHO SHOT AND MISSED
IM IN THE MOOD FOR SHITTY PUNS
MARLENE?!?!?!
NO WAY THEY WERE GONNA REMOVE ELLIES BRAIN (i know she lives… duh)
GO JOEL KILL EVERY ONE OF THOSE BITCHES
holy shit joel’s killing spree scene is so good. the music, the cinematography, the acting… just amazing
honestly i get why joel did that. he can’t lose another daughter. him saving ellie’s life was him saving his own life. it’s selfish, but honestly would the cure have worked anyway? if it didn’t then ellie would’ve died in vain and all of that would’ve been for nothing.
i’m not gonna say that joel lying was right but it’ll at least give ellie a peace of mind
he went from not being able to speak at all about sarah to saying “oh yeah we used to hike like this all the time” is peak character development
oh fuck he swore to her that he was telling the truth… i see some potential season 2 angst
she literally just lost all hope for the world to be saved…

henlo :DDD i am here for the Ask Game!!
2, 5, 11, 14, 30
this makes me sound like im ordering from a drive through XD
2. Is it easier to draw someone facing left or right (or forward even)
I think a left 3rd view of the face is the easiest second to that is facing forward
5. Estimate of how much of your art you post online vs. the art you keep for yourself
60% or so is for myself the rest if I think its good I'll post online and you already seen what I usually post on servers being stupid lil doodles lol
11. Do you listen to anything while drawing? If so, what
YEEEESSS III LOOOOVE MUSIC
Honestly this has turned into a playlist of music I just love that happens to relate even to one lyric about my boy lol
but specifically these:
youtube
youtube
and you definitely know why I've been listening to this one ;)
youtube
14. Any favorite motifs
There's alot and since this is my post and my answers and you're my friend
I WONT SPARE YOU THE ESSAY YOU'VE UNLEASHED
So I love love wolves/dogs and rabbits/deer as both are very interesting the differences between dogs and wolves is a fact of freedom, that sure a wolf miiight listen to you (but mostly bc of food or other sources you might give them I mean they're wild) while a dog is absolutely domesticated but...they still bite and when pushed they WILL fight back even if they're loyal
Rabbits and deer esp when combined for a Jackalope are two things: my love of contrasts and double meanings and metaphors for transness!! I see antlers personally, esp since its different between sexes in deer when it comes them and growing/shedding them as a trans thing idk how to explain it lol
now with the contrasts and double meanings with rabbits!! its such a cute lil fluffy thing but its interesting when the rabbit bites down, when you see that the black and white world-view of carnivores and vegetarians are actually blurred and that during winter they'll eat meat when its available most animals and esp rabbits are very opportunistic
and ofc there's the predator and prey aspects of both between dogs/deer and wolves/rabbits!!!
also side note but I also been loving lizards/shrikes and returning to the classic motif for reverie: foxes/ravens (both clever beings that get a bad rap in fairy tales)
also I looooove fairy tales and myths, William several folk tales that I got inspired by, I wonder what sorta scenes and designs and skills based of these: Red Riding Hood (#1 FAIRY TALE) Anything with the big bad wolf, sleeping beuty, beuty and the beast, the white knight/prince charming motif, witches motif, and hansel and grentel but what if one of the kids take the other instead of a parent? Can you really call that your sibling?
like for instance Will has his red cloak that acts as a red "heroic and prince charming/white knight" cape that also has a red hood, not too mention his motivations are mainly pure righteousness and his desinated roles by the story are either prince charming/white knight or love interest (mainly both if he was saving a princess from the princess pov but instead he's saving and protecting the "evil" dragon)
alsoooo MORE CONTRASTS like life/death and growth/rot and sun/moon and ice/fire (again these can be applied to will who has a rot curse but inherant magic for healing and being related to plants and also ice and fire magic
also persephone/hades dynamic esp where you think on the surface its the cute bubbly life and flowers girlie (doesn't even have to be a girl again: will) with their gloomy dark death and rot guy (yes this is talking about the dragon guy buuut he's honestly more of a dark golden retreiver that would eat and kill anyone who messes with will who also has 1 braincell that uses 60% of it to think abt will)
30. What piece of yours do you think is underrated
honestly every one of my oc stuff cuz man I put alot of effort into this shit and since this is my post I'll post the ones that I think aren't getting enough attention
I don't think this is underated but putting this here bc I did it on a tablet with a shitty diy stylus that didn't even give me good control and I think I deserve something for how well this came out under those circumstances
ALSOOO!!! IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN WILL THEN PLS SEND ME ASKS I NEED TO TALK MORE ABOUT HIIIIM

i dont know how to share my confidence on anything honestly around here you know how it is. but its over. we won tabarnac. the communists win. i told opirg today. you dont need to dig very far to see how game over it is. we have world peace by christmas and i believe it for real. gg guys.
peace and love on planet ottawa! peace and love on turtle island! peace and love in palestine! we have negotiation tables in qatar again monday morning!! did that 20 million year old fossil in washington need a slap from his buddy justin or did this not even need to happen?
there are a lot of doors everywhere. there are a lot of keys everywhere. people love to just leave their keys everywhere, especially still in the ignition in this stupid city and im the biggest thief here. de toute facon comme jte disais..
the iron dome has security measures. i have good reason to believe i am aware of a particular security vulnerabilty on the israeli side and ive been telling everyone to change their passwords forever you know how crazy it is out there.
i shared a particular code with an antizionist mensch that has been coming to the solidarity demonstrations held every weekend in ottawa since netenyahu and his genocidal regime escalated the situation to a war months ago last october. i shared other strategic victory plans with the pym and they all know where to find each other.
ill go bug embassy security about nonsense at 3am on my way back from the bar if anyones around. its warm as shit out here this month idk they might be out for a smoke or something. its not like the palestinians have much of an equivalent but im in the market so yall know exactly where i wanna go.
long story but my favourite tree in town survived the two years of peace i gave canada and the rest of the world from my bullshit! i think qatar or some other gulf state is building its embassy around it. i want to convince them to save this thing and integrate it into their design so bad. her name is grandmother acab!! forreal guys. if theres another close favourite its the apple tree near the aviation museum that fruits like a maniac. im just too shy to bug the ppl at city hall about it if they already offered it to another gulf state in that alley (the japanese and south korean embassies arent far either, its just behind global affairs lmao).
i wanted to play more concerts in that field with my friends. as far as i can tell mitski and lady lamb are interested in playing there again. i need to hit them up when shit gets less crazy again. i dont even know if they realized this was communist bullshit and theyre americans lmao.
its been left to fallow for sooo long and its one of my favourite spots in town. ive offered to kill suicidal friends there before idk. its very sacred to me. and im so glad the bulldozing hasnt started yet really. the shit they did down by the marina and the path down to the kichi zibi (ottawa/great river) from the north end of lowertown hurt me sooo much my god. i was scared i lost so much more behind the mint too dear lord.
sorry for making the good news so long and silly tonight. i need to hustle more responsibly lol. ily all. if i dont see you again good morning good afternoon and goodnight bozos! this truman show with the rcmp bugging my life needs to stop already. check out lady lamb! sound of the summer!
with solidarity and friendship,
audrey, jeanne, and friends
