I’m not very good at making recs in a way that just hooks people into reading them, but I’ll try! Here’s 10.

1. Basically anything by @swordsmans . I adore all their work. Literally anything. If I had to name one of their works as a favorite, probably Ocean Theology.

2. The Story Of Us by @mugiwat Though fair warning, you’ll hate Law’s guts in this story. I wanna punch the dudes face in. Modern AU! Absolutely amazing, and I love mugiwat.

3. You Are All I See by Anonymous. Amazing read and definitely deserves more love. I’m preeeetttyy sure I know the person who wrote it, but it’s anonymous, so I won’t say. It’s another Modern AU too. :)

4. Nothing Less (or how I met the pirate king) by Leoporidae_Lagomorpha—Lord oh good god, I think that was the first ZoLu fanfic I ever read? Definitely one of the first, and it succeeded in converting my self from “nah they’re just bros” to “oh my God they’re in love.”

5. Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea by @melodramaticcoffeeaddict A dark one, recommended to me by my dearest beloved, but I adore it so much. (I adore all of these but you get the point.) Like I said, it’s a bit dark, but it’s amazing.

6. riptide by nevermordor. I love first date fics, especially ones with humor, so this one has to make the list.

7. O Captain, My Captain (death and rebirth) by amghost. Protective brothers? Check. Fluff? Check. Some angst? Check.

8. In Cradles We Cry by MiniPandaBuns—hi, uh, I cried. A lot. (I’m a very emotional person alright—) We love us some traumatized Luffy and a comforting Zoro.

9. You Caught Me Off Guard by Zoet9. Zoro is an absolute simp for Luffy. Like. Honeeeey. Also Zoro’s a pillow again and I love that joke.

10. Eternity would be a Curse (Without You By My Side) by Puppypaws54672. Again. I cried like a baby. Not so happy ending, but lordy do I love this fic. Zoro’s a god and the king of hell, while Luffy is just, well. He’s Luffy.

A younger reader and pre-x men Logan would be such a sexy, angsty disaster.

She knows exactly what kind of life she wants, Logan barely knows who he is; she would ramble at him as a way of flirting and he would try to be mean to her to get her to stay away only to immediately apologize and fall in love with her in 3 seconds flat.

And who needs someone more than Sunshine? Who would be more willing to provide everything for her but Logan? The frat boys never stood a chance.

The sex would be amazing, the chemistry off the charts- the angst and miscommunication would leave you sobbing.

They could never be healthy at that stage, Jamie is right to be concerned and call them co dependent but omfg i would read a whole series on this au

On my current Ao3 account I've actually only written 3 fics (all Wyler) since I haven't actually written fanfiction for a good 10+ years, and when I tell you that the fanfiction I wrote in high school will NEVER see the light of day again I mean it (it's still lurking somewhere on FF.net I'm sure)

HOWEVER in terms of favorites, I'd honestly have to go with (my fave so far) my first step back into writing fanfiction (and writing in general) turn my heaven to hell (i'm under your spell). I was so unbelievably nervous about writing again, but this fandom has been so CRAZY lovely and supportive, I'm so inspired and motivated to do more writing!

Ever since you dated Bucky you loved to tease him with pop culture references he just didn’t understand. Catching up with stuff like TikTok Trends or similar things were unnecessary, that’s what he said.

In his opinion he was too old for this stuff even though you reminded him every time that he was actually near his thirties.

It was just obvious that Sam would join your ‘Hobby’, so Bucky loses his mind nearly every day.

Sure you felt sorry most of the time after he grumbles something like I was once the most feared man on this planet and now I have to deal with this, and walks away, but you know that he sometimes thought it was funny too.

Same with your taste in music, Sam teased him about his lack of enthusiasm for Marvin Gaye, but Bucky didn’t waste a chance to make comments about the music you played in your shared Apartment.

Just like now, you laid on the couch, music filling up the living area as you looked at your phone and Bucky was calling.

Hey doll, I’m still busy but I’ll be back for dinner.

“Don’t stress yourself, I didn’t plan to get up before I am finished with hearing the playlist.”

You giggled when he sighed and you literally could see him roll his eyes.

Don’t tell me you’re hearing this music again?

He spoke about this one playlist you made for relaxing afternoons when there was nothing to do for you.

The amount of jobs since Thanos and Flag Smashers defeat was really low, at least for you.

Bucky as right hand for the new Captain America had more to do and sure it was frustrating.

He laughed at your mumbled words even though he understands your frustration.

You thought you heard him laugh before you hung up and closed your eyes and let the music fill up your mind.

Humming to the music you later prepared dinner by chopping vegetables and drinking a glass of wine.

The display of your phone showed a new message from Bucky.

I’ll be home in 30 minutes, do you have any plans for tonight?

The music got your attention again and with a grin you texted him the lyrics you just heard.

Exactly 30 minutes later you felt a pair of arms around your waist, with a side view onto the clock at the wall you noticed that he was perfectly in time.

“Hey.”

He breathed against your neck as he placed several kisses on it, the stumbles of his beard tickling the sensitive skin and making you shudder.

“Mhhm.”

You were concentrating on the food in front of you, not looking up from it, knowing that it would upset him.

“Doll?”

“Hmm?”

“Yes I know you’re glad that I’m back thanks.”

Reluctant your mouth formed a big grin as he rested his chin on your shoulder, his hands slowly rubbing circles on your hips.

“I am.”

For a short moment you laid your eyes on him, astonished by his clear blue eyes looking up at you through the full eyelashes.

“That’s good, For a moment I didn’t thought so.”

You laughed briefly at his pouting but dark face, adoring his puppy behavior.

He rested his head against yours as you turned around in his arms.

“What was this text earlier?”

“What do you mean?”

With an innocent expression you watched him taking his phone out of his pocket, furrowing his brow while unlocking it and searching for the text.

“Netflix? Watching movies” he paused, “Sounds good doll.”

You smiled at the fact that he even used an emoji, this wasn’t something he usually did.

“And then you go, But we ain’t seeing a thing tonight. This doesn't make any sense y/n. Why should we- Oh my god why are you laughing now.”

He made a step back, watching with narrowed eyes how you laughed loudly, holding one hand to your stomach.

“Oh Bucky, honey this was another reference.”

You whipped one tear off your cheek and saw his face darkening even more.

“You and your dumbass references, sometimes I really hate you for these. It’s ridiculous.”

He attempted to walk away, grumbling to himself but after a few steps you stopped him, turning him around and wrapping your arms around him. Your nails massaged the back of his neck and he sighed with closed eyes.

“I’m sorry my love, let me explain.”

He murmured a “Go on” with closed eyes, obviously concentrated to calm.

“It’s from this one song I heard back then and it says that we will start a movie but ain’t see anything from it because we’re busy doing other things.”

To emphasize your words, you softly let your palms brush over his chest before lifting his chin with your index finger.

“You get what I mean?”

You could literally see in his eyes that he slowly understood what you meant.

“Oh doll.”

He cleared his throat, one hand in your hair as he brought his forehead on yours.

“You still mad?”

He just shook his head a bit while staring into your eyes.

“But I still hate these references and stuff even though this wasn’t a bad one.”

He leaned in to close the gap between you, taking in your lips for a long kiss.

You two parted as the air in your lungs was running out and with burning cheeks you noticed a pink flush on his.

“I’ll take a shower now, then dinner and then we’ll ‘watch movies’?”

The ankles of his mouth raised to a small smile as you nod.

“I’m looking forward to it.”

He left another peck on your lips before he turned around, making his way to the bathroom. Maybe he would start to like your references.

he sort of neglects his phone since he’s so focused on the tour, but he never forgets to send short lil updates or photos when he’s done with work

but he’d urge you both to sit down and calmly talk about it - shouting matches don’t put him in the best mental space

he’d take your hand and listen carefully about what you’ve got to say, and vice versa

oftentimes, if he didn’t think the fight was worth it/not that important, he’d pretend that nothing happened afterwards

but if he saw that you were still upset, he’d never let his ego eat away at him and instead he’ll buy you flowers or take you out for dinner that evening, and all is good :)

your fights aren’t very often though, thankfully. practically non-existent

you have playful ones, like you’d argue about pizza toppings while laughing

but whatever the fight may be, there would be times when you’d end up in bed because of it

Sander Sides Coffeeshop AU! Part 3 (or whatever-)

Do you guys believe me if I tell you this hell of an au actually has a storyline- no ? neither do I. Sorry for the short chapter, my adhd is acting up really bad and I cAN’T FOCUS-  --------------------------------- 6:30am. Finally. He was back home. The night was indeed, very long. The bar got very busy with Roman’s performance, so busy that he even missed Janus’s constant chatter. He was annoying and malicious, but Logan could not ignore the fact that he was, indeed, really cultivated. Often quoting philosophers, with interesting subjects to discuss and surprisingly knew a lot about the different types of tea and botanics in general, along with an absolute metric ton for chemistry, which kinda intrigued the barista, being a science and biology major. The melon hat man, unfortunately called it a night after only a couple hours into their discussion after giving a quick glance at his phone and claiming that he “had to be home or the kids would be worried”. By that time, Roman had already left to get some beauty sleep, as he always said. 

Logan let himself fall on the bed after putting his glasses on the table, slowly closing his eyes to finally join the dream world… ….If his alarm didn’t decide otherwise.

A tired groan left his throat as he tried to ignore the noise, until a wet scratchy thing rubbed against his nose. Apparently Plato didn’t like his breakfast being delayed, and the little kisses were just a nice way of saying “feed me human or your soul will never see the light of day”.

-Okay okay you fluffy son of bitch…

He always got a bit more crude when he was tired, being the type to avoid cursing, just to appear sympathetic. After a few stretches, Logan stood up to fill up the cat’s bowl before changing into his “morning clothes”, throwing the others in the washing machine. He tried to wake himself up a bit more by washing his pale face in cold water. A few checks here in there to make sure everything was alright, and he was on his way for a brand new day in his dear cafe.

Two cups of coffee. Two freaking cups of coffee and he still felt incredibly tired. The place was not really busy right now, fortunately enough but the extremely feline yawn he let out still managed to steal a small chuckle from the client he was serving, noticing that he was on the verge of overflowing the tea cup. A few drops fell on the wooden table and were quickly wiped out by the barista. -Well well Auriga, looks like someone here didn’t get a full night of sleep.

Doctor Emile Picani was the name of this regular client. He was the very soft type, always complimenting everyone, generously tipping Logan and just overall being the beloved and friendly psychologist.  

-Is it that obvious Doctor.. -I already told you ! E-m-i-l-e ! You’ve been serving me the same freaking order for four years ! I think that’s enough for a first name basis.

-Says the one who just called me “Auriga”.

-What can i do “bro” ? I find your name pretty. All that aside, you should really get some rest Logan, you’re giving me more casper than human vibes. And that’s a really big oof.

-Is this your cartoon lingo or are you trying to sound young and modern ?

-A bit of both ! How am i doing ?

-Horrible. This took a chuckle out of the two before Logan returned behind the bar after serving a few more clients to drink start on his third cup of coffee. The moment he brought the mug to his lips, the cafe’s bell chimed, revealing a soaked man from the rain, a bit shivering under his leather jacket that he couldn’t just close -what can you do ? Fashion is just more important than comfort-. He took off his wet sunglasses to dry them off before putting them back and walked to the counter without even caring about wiping his soaked, muddy boots on the carpet planned for that, which earned him a few dirty looks from the dear Mr.Auriga. Before even being able to greet him, the newcomer slammed a plastic reusable tall cup in front of him before saying in a tired, cranky voice.

-Can you fill this venti cup with espresso ?

-..I-I, I beg your pardon. -A venti cup. With espresso. Can you do that hun ?

That was twenty ounces of strong coffee. Logan suddenly got a concerned and kinda alarmed look on his face and shook his head. -I don’t really, quite know how to count that-

-Sis’...just fill the cup, I don't care about the price. Count it as three regular ones or charge me the supplement in shots.

-...Yikes. Who hurt you ? -Life.

This made him let a quiet giggle out before taking the cup and making his drink and silently pitying his heart rate. Upon closer inspection, the “venti cup” was from Starbucks. He could even see a name written on it with a thick glittery acrylic sharpie. “Remy”. Once the blood pressure heightener completed, the man in sunglasses took a large sip from the straw, exhaling loudly.

-You are, literally my life savior right now sweetie, you can’t even imagine.

-Rough night ?

-Yeah, i can say that. Plus my boss is a total bitch, like he really needs a chill pill.

Accompanying those words, Remy’s phone chimed and Logan could clearly see him rolling his eyes behind his sunglasses upon seeing the contact on the screen.

-Speaking of the devil. Yeah Remy there ?...Well i'm taking my morning coffee y’know i can’t get going without it….Duh ! i KNOW the Star’s is closed, i'm in a random cosy coffee shop….Honeeeey, pretty sure you see that rain, i ain’t going back. Move your bubble butt and come pick me up...Where am I ? Uuuh, bitch legit i don’t know, like, y’know my sense of direction is effed up...it’s a bit outside the city aaaand, hem, there’s a lot of blue, and the barista’s cute...Ah and yeah it’s called “Blue’s”, just saw it, like, right now...yeah, want me to grab ya something ?...aw don’t be cranky ya sound like an old man...sorry not sorry babe im just sayin’ the truth ! Anyway byeeee.

The “barista” raised a curious eyebrow before brushing it off as Remy hung up, sighing loudly.

-Jesus, this man doesn't know when to take a breather !

-Heard that.

-You’re not much of a talker are ya ? What’s your name cutie ? “The barista” sounds kinda lame.

-It’s on my badge.

-Ah yeah, Logan, sounds so basic but im in !  

What a singular strange character. The whiplash he got from just having a ten seconds conversation with him was stronger than any coffee. He wondered what kind of mentally functioning human would accept the insolence and the nature of that individual. Definitely Charm's family! 😏 Like, there's a reason why both Bucky and Steve asked Charm whether her father would shoot them, and this is him being calmer and older 😁 Before the truce, Charm's family was absolutely bloodthirsty and very cutthroat, that's also why Ian is the way he is 😏 Charm is like that too, in a way, but I think her mother changed that about her father and her as well ❤️

I feel like they have different types of wealth! ❤️ Charm's family has more money but Bucky's family has more real estate + sources 😏 But that marriage was very, very beneficial to both sides😈

Also why the fuck did Bucky embarrass charm about her crush THIS IS A WONDERFUL QUESTION! 😂 At that point, they weren't out of each other's league in terms of hierarchy, but also, Bucky was the city's spoiled and arrogant prince by then 😏 He had his 'reasons' which he never bothered to explain to Charm, but like, at that point Bucky didn't even notice Charm when she was in the room 😂 She was just "Becca's annoying friend" 😁

He did change his mind when she returned to the city but....😏

4. Oh Charm bought the biggest bed she could find and Alpine is sleeping right between them 😁 So they haven't exactly cuddled *yet* because Alpine is very protective of Charm even when she's asleep😏

But once Alpine actually starts to like Bucky... it'll be interesting❤️

I never understand why the Asian Neon Sign says 明家快 which actually means "bright (or as a rare family name), family, quick"🤔 One possible explanation is that it should be 明家快餐or炒, meaning a  stir-fry restaurant run by the Mings.

The neon sign was converted by Ritsuka/Nioranddark/etc from TS2, and Yuxi no doubt converted it from some other game (maybe Yakuza? IDEK). So I suspect that in the context of whatever game the sign originally came from, it made more sense there than it ever will in The Sims. XD

LOL, thanks! XD In my head, I was thinking that in a futuristic Asian city they’d make everything technological. If I could, I’dve made it a holographic light AND radio/incense burner, so that “the Buddha” could help sims meditate or do yoga or whatever. I have no idea. 😂
