Some time ago (I can't remember exactly when), we ate a butternut squash (Cucurbita moschata, aka "anco pumpkin", by far the most common variety of pumpkin here) and buried a few seeds in a corner of our backyard. It germinated and grew quite a lot, some flowers appeared and were fully open yesterday, and now all the flowers started to close again but two of them look like this.

We might get some nice homegrown pumpkins from this.

First time growing garlic. They're small, and need to age a bit before I can use them, but I'll be looking to plant more soon.

I find it kind of stupid how 'half full' vs 'half empty' is framed as an optimist/pessimist thing. If it starts full and gets halfway drained, it's half empty. If it starts empty and gets halfway filled, it's half full. If you don't know the starting state it's both simultaneously.
