Hey it's been like 3 or 4 days but I can't stop thinking about EAPS, and how when Ruin asks what they're going to do if Puppet won't leave and Fauxy (native Foxy) is like "I think you know the answer to that"

And hvvjjg and then Fauxy being like "It's our decision" and Ruin STILL IN HIS SERIOUS VOICE immediately comes back with

"I am making the decision for you. You will not take that step"

Fucking aaaaaaaaaa Puppet isn't his friend! Eclipse isn't his friend! Both of these people hate him!

But what Ruin hates is conflict. He cannot stand fighting over stupid shit. And just the fucking threat in his voice, that he wants to live here and get along reasonably peacefully but he will take matters into his own hands should there be a risk of someone actually getting hurt?

Solace for the Lonely

This was an AU idea I had just aptly named "Life Series Therapy Session" where it stemmed from a stupid headcanon that after a while, Grian started to feel bad for how the games were taking a toll on his friends so instead of being an eldritch horror he uses Watcher like abilities to like.....make therapy for his friends???

Joel was his guinea pig.

Basically the premise for Joel's session was he had to find closure in his past as one of the lonelier members by helping other members who were cursed with loneliness in other life series' and help them come to terms with things.

With LL!Scar, Joel is a bit awkward because it's the first person he's conversing with so there's this sorta of whiplash and this season was the one where him going red left them both alone.

Scar is also shocked at the sight of a Joel who isn't mental, and given Scar's track record in later seasons of unfaithful soulmates and forced villainy, Joel finds him the hardest to comfort.

He opts for telling him that one day he'll meet people he can call family, hinting towards the Clockers, but never outright saying it. He thinks back on his time with the Bad Boys, and his unwavering loyalty to them. He thinks the season might've been a step towards a less solitary life for them both.

When he sees DL!Pearl is his next "client," he's much more confident. He's teamed with Pearl at this point, and he knows that she will not have to suffer her Double Life fate again.

He has to tiptoe around specifically mentioning the Mounders and the fact that they are a group that forms because he doesn't want the Butterfly Effect to take place. Being as vague as possible, he assures Pearl that one day she will find people to be devoted to again (even if he does leave out the part about them all dying before her...for her own wellbeing).

Pearl is naturally skeptical. She's been isolated on this server that's meant to be about love and in this world where DL!Joel is purposefully antagonistic, here he is uncharacteristically telling her everything will turn out okay in the vaguest nature possible. And she's just expected to believe that?

Even so, as he walks away, she can't help but feel a little more hopeful.

The last person Joel encounters is SL!Lizzie, and this one stings a bit more. Joel knows Lizzie's fate in this world, and it's not pretty for her. Lizzie didn't particularly have a happy story in Last Life either, so something about this is extra unfortunate.

Joel just goes straight in and tells her that he will always be there for her because that is the full truth and he knows Lizzie needs to hear it. Maybe not at this point; maybe at this point SL!Lizzie is completely content and nothing particularly bad has happened to her, and she's wondering why her husband is at her doorstep looking so sympathetic.

But when Joel remembers a certain party, and the way he was still attacked even after being her sole supporter, he feels he has to comfort her, and tell her that he loves her, and somehow make it so her cold and lonely death in the end doesn't feel so bitter after this is all done.

Sir Pentious died in 1888. He's been in hell nearly a century and a half. Nearly a hundred years longer than Valentino. Well over a hundred than Velvette. Vox was an overlord when Pentious was probably hitting his 80th anniversary of his death. All are overlords and he isn't.

Angel had lost his own soul probably around Pentious' centennial of being in hell. Husk and Niffty were in hell less than 100 years before they lost theirs. Pentious still owns his soul.

Alastor owns the airwaves, and several other overlords have entire districts that they command, most of which took under 100 years to do so. Sir Pentious has a ship and some raw eggs.

This begs the question; WHAT THE FUCK HAS HE BEEN DOING ALL THIS TIME???

Bro has no real power, no contracts, no owner, no souls, no influence, no presence even though he's been in hell, SURVIVING EXTERMINATIONS for nearly 150 years. Idk if I'm impressed that he's gotten this far while doing absolutely nothing or sad that he's so damn pathetic.

im thinking about celestia and the abyss being literal opposites (chaos and order) and im thinking about childe and lumine being sort of embodiments of that, just not in the way we think. after the latest natlan quest its clear to us what the fatui intends and what they want- i think the tsaritsa more than anything loves humanity, which is why she directly opposes celestia who are known for bringing down different civilizations. childe, as Her weapon and Her blade is an extenction of that: he's a blade forged by the abyss, bathed in Her holyness, meant to strike down those who sin. lumine (talking solely about traveler lumine) is the literal sister of the prince of the abyss, she has clear ties to it and at this point in the story still is hesitant about fully opposing him (i love angst). her entire story revolves around chaose and disrupting celestia's (and the fatui's) order. isnt that fun

i think what childe longs for the most is control- control of himself, his life, his powers, his story, his fate. i think what lumine wants the most is freedom, which is just another phacet of chaos

anyways. you see it. the themes are theming

I have had way too much fun working on this guy. He is so bouncy and dramatic and filled with his own kind of charm.

His games are the ones I played the most (outside of a few exceptions) as a kid, so I have extreme nostalgia for cursing at my DS when it decided to not read a Gameboy cartridge. (the nerve)

He has a lot of nicknames amongst the Links ('Prince' is merely a title bestowed by someone who wanted to upset him - which didn't quite go how Pink intended - and is barely used by the other Links, much like how Pink is only called so when the others want to rile him up) ranging from their Storyteller, Dungeon Crawler, Adventurer, Bard, Swift, and many more. Currently, he stands alone as the fastest of the Links, but only for as long as he can bear the pain of going that fast in a body that tired.

Whilst an incredibly skilled fighter - adaptable, swift and bold - and only just beginning to reach the age of majority, he knows full well his body is at its limit. Despite this - or perhaps because of this fact - he takes any threat to the younger, or more inexperienced members of their group very personally. This can cause some friction between those Links and himself. Luckily, half a decade spent word smithing his way around perception spells and curses have made him very adept at soothing ruffled feathers. Unfortunately, he is inexperienced in one very notable aspect - dealing with constant companionship with not-so amenable souls. Getting used to others when they don't want to get used to him is going to cause him some grief.

Like many of the Links Hylia pulled to her from throughout the Eras, the Hero of Legend died before his time - he hopes to make up for it, for all none of the others think he should have to.
