Winter = Imaan boosting season. Do you know why?
Tumblr media
Al-Hasan al-Baṣrī (rahimahullāh) said,
“Winter is the best season for the believer. Its nights are long for him to pray in, and its days are short for him to fast in”.

Dear theists,
Quoting a holy book at atheists as if it were evidence of something and expecting us to take it as seriously as you makes as much sense as me going "Well, Captain Kirk from Star Trek said 'We have no need of gods'!" and expecting you to be like "Well, if Kirk said it, it must be true! Darn!".

The hearts of people are of three kinds-
The first is a heart devoid of faith and goodness, a dark heart where Shayṭān does not even need to whisper, for he has already made it his home, ruling over it as he pleases.
The second is a heart illuminated by faith, yet at times, shadows of desires and turbulent winds of fantasies seek to enter it. This heart is a battleground—sometimes Shayṭān finds a place within it, and other times, faith repels him. The struggle is constant, a war between light and darkness.
The third is a heart full of faith, untouched by the veils of desires, where the light of īmān burns so brightly that any whisper of doubt is set ablaze. It is like the sky, guarded by stars, where any devil seeking entry is pelted and burned.
To understand this, consider three houses:
One belongs to a king, guarded and filled with treasures; another belongs to a servant, also filled with treasures but less protected; and the third stands empty.
A thief does not waste his time on an empty house—he has already claimed it. Nor does he attempt to steal from the king’s palace, for it is too well-guarded. Instead, he targets the servant’s house, where wealth exists but the defenses are weaker.
So it is with the heart—Shayṭān does not bother with the disbeliever’s heart, for it is already his, nor does he dare approach the heart filled with the greatness of Allāh, protected by His light.
But the heart of the believer, where faith and heedlessness sometimes mix—this is where he wages his war. And so, the believer must remain vigilant, for the enemy lurks, seeking the smallest opening to deceive, whisper, and steal.
Excerpts from Remembrance of the most merciful - Imãm ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah (d. 751H)

Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth; the alternation of the day and the night; the ships that sail the sea for the benefit of humanity; the rain sent down by Allah from the skies, reviving the earth after its death; the scattering of all kinds of creatures throughout; the shifting of the winds; and the clouds drifting between the heavens and the earth—˹in all of this˺ are surely signs for people of understanding. (2:164)
