1.) Fandoms

My blog is, as a rule, not affiliated with any of the fandoms that my muses come from, and are largely products of my own headcanons, I'll list on the muse page which muses are fully canon divergent and which ones follow canon, as it can vary depending on how I feel about the media they come from.

2.) Basic RP Etiquette

Don't control or override the actions of my characters, don't kill them without asking, no forcibly shipping with my character without talking to me first, really basic stuff for everyone's comfort, really.

3.) NSFW

I generally don't like NSFW unless we're very close rp partners, and if we do engage in that kind of shipping it will lead directly to fade to black, I don't have a sinblog, and don't have an interest in one, so any smut will have to be implied at best. Otherwise, darker subject matter like gore and other darker themes involving mental health will be explored and tagged appropriately.

4.) Dropping Threads

I'm guilty of dropping threads when I lose my muse for them and get overwhelmed. I'm working on reaching out more and sending memes to my mutuals, but I'm a very shy person. The best way to start things with me is to approach me in DM's or send me a meme.

hello! i love how much thought has been put into this rp and would really love to join!! however, i just had a couple of questions regarding angels. what would be some examples of an angel messing up so severely that it warrants punishment? are their wings/horns always visible? finally, do the skeletons have to match with the species (if that makes sense)? thank you so much!!

in terms of things they did to warrant them being kicked out, the sky is your limit! they could've stolen something, got into a physical altercation, or was kicked out unjustly! all we ask is that reasons do not go too dark (murder/attempted murder/sa/etc), as that does not fit the vibe of our roleplay. an angel could've been kicked out because they questioned the purpose and existence of angels, or they could've been kicked out just for being unkind.

much like lycans, cupids have the ability to hide their wings. fallen angels, on the other hand, will always have their horns showing. it's basically a part of the punishment! much like wings, their horns can be cut off, but it is extremely painful and dangerous.

for the angel species, i would say these skeletons fit: bekka madden, draculaura, finnegan wake, holt hyde, jinafire long, rochelle goyle, and spectra vondergeist!

Jackson Jekyll...how did he know that name? It sounded familiar. He listened as Holt described his brother as a normie. Valentine figured he MUST have seen the only normie at Monster High at some point.

Valentine put his hands up in defense.

"Oh no, I promise not to harm a single hair on the boy's head." he promised, "I may be a vampire, but I don't feed off from someone without their consent." Or he would just stick with purchased blood bags or feed off the blood of animals if the situation demanded it.

For the past handfuls of decades a vampire couldn't get away from just feeding off of an unwilling source. The human police were getting better at investigating crimes like that.

things that the Ghouls Rule movie addresses that Monster High sadly never developed or talked about ever again:

we finally got to see angry!Holt outside of the diary continuity in all of his glory, and, let’s be fair, he’s kinda scary at times

like Holt’s voice drops various tones and grows rougher when he’s angry. He doesn’t even sound like himself. Seeing a genuinely sweet kid suddenly become a full-on jerk in a matter of seconds... *shivers*

the fact that Jackson and Holt have a type, and it’s goth girls (yes, Frankie is goth as well, die mad about it)

monsterfuckers exist in the MH universe (see: Claire)

New Salem has a “human” and a “monster” part of town; apparently Monster High is in the latter- and monsters are regarded as second-class citizens, and that’s even when people acknowledge their existence at all. I’m not saying it’s a queer allegory, but it’s a queer allegory.

Holt having a crush in two girls at the same time is used as a thematic parallel to Frankie’s love triangle arc in the second season which means that the both of them, and Jackson as well, are polyamorous. This, and Clawdeen being a lesbian through the entire movie, were never talked about, ever. I WANT QUEER MONSTERS, DAMNIT.

Heath, apparently, lied about his unmatched handling of spicy food, as he immediately starts crying after one (1) hot tortilla chip. I just think it’s a cute little detail.

Holt definitely vocally stims... adhd king.

THICK ACCENT APPRECIATION FOR OPERETTA AND HOLT??? like Mattel probably accidentally told children that southern accents aren’t ugly or that sounding chav isnt bad actually... I know this is ongoing given that operetta is a reoccurring character but somehow this is the only instance in which I noticed a stronger accent in Holt’s voice, and yeah, I really don’t know where it’s from (the east end??? maybe???) but I'm pretty sure it isnt RP

not to be sappy on main but Lilith’s character development was pretty good for a one-shot character that never appeared again. That being said: Claire and Chad, and post-redemption Lilith, deserved more screen time and future episodes.

oh and while Lilith being disgusted by Holt’s appearance makes sense given her specism at the beginning of her arc, it’s hinted at that Holt actually looks hideous to humans and that Claire is the only normie who can handle that fucked up Hyde face of his.

monsters canonically look freaky enough for their features to be mistaken by special effects makeup or fursuits, and I'm mad that MH didn’t have more episodes in which features that are socially seen as undesirable (like big feet or acne) are seen as “beautiful” by monsters, telling the tween audience that actually ugliness is a social construct and a stupid one at that

idk the movie unpacked a lot of good shit that then never went anywhere because even before G2 the canon was constantly being changed and retconned, and there’s like 3 G1 continuities. so no wonder fans are making their own G3s. we want these concepts to be explored

and please? MORE JEKYLL AND HYDE THEMED PUNS FOR JACKSON AND HOLT. the movie managed to throw like, two or three, but please, I'd give these two more talking lines just to cram a hundred “hyde” puns in there.

BACKSTORY

        Jackson has always been a stressed individual. With his parents being split up, his mother constantly moving, bullies at school, and randomly waking up in random places (He describes as black outs), there was more than enough to stress over. Kids often beat and taunted Jackson at school for being one of the more geekier students causing Jackson intense social anxiety and PTSD. When Jackson wasn’t getting abused by his peers he spent his days studying and experimenting.

    Things didn’t get any better for Jackson when he transferred to Monster High with Clair and Melody through the normie exchange program. Being a “geek” and a normie didn’t give him any bonus points. Students such as Manny Taur sought out to break him and there were times where Jackson felt as if dropping out of school for good. Even better, even when he got any sort of friends they often left him due to Jackson being “unreliable”. Jackson wouldn’t ever be able to attend parties or sleepovers no matter how hard he tried. Jackson never saw a single ounce of nighttime.

    Luckily, Jackson became friends with Frankie Stein, another outcast among the school. And it would be her to help Jackson and Holt when they eventually discovered the truth about each other.

I do not automatically shipped. All start out where canon left off.  The rest depends on RP. I will not auto-ship with any Holt or Johnny.
