        venhurst shores is a ghost town for several months, just waiting for memorial day weekend when tourists help the town come alive again. bordering the atlantic ocean, it’s known for having miles of sandy beaches and a boardwalk that can spur a sense of nostalgia in anyone who visits. during the day, families can be seen eating brunch at the oceanfront cafes or building sandcastles in the sand. when the sun sets, the neon lights of the boardwalk illuminate the area and the music from the seaside bars can be heard from blocks away. the environment is ideal for drawing in young adults who are eager to spend their summer days split between work and play. the group may only stay here for a few months but the memories live forever.

In the year 2012, the Ministry of Magic discusses plans to further studies for the incoming youth to cope with the influx of new knowledge that comes with advancing time. Eventually, they come up with an idea equivalent to Muggle college, where four more years are added to assist students in specializing even further in their future. This includes additional courses along with internship opportunities so that students may decide if the job they wish to take up is the right job for them.

In 2014 after many proposals and suggestions, the program is implemented in the ancient Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. A prototype filled with many curious and eager students, if successful the other schools around the world will also debate the merit of the new arrangement.

Roll into the present and the school is thriving more than ever.

CORUSCO is a closed, semi-literate, original character roleplay based on the harry potter series.

APPLYING

please make sure to read all of the rules and all information regarding the roleplay. for any questions, please i.m. the directory and someone from the admod team will get back to you.

submit your application from a premade account (using crname or crxname as your url). side-blogs and multi-muse blogs will not be allowed.

as this is an original character roleplay. we would like you to refrain from using your faceclaim’s real name and background. create your own story for your character. you can be as creative as you want!

we do ask however that you check the roster and choose a first name that has not been taken by a character already so to avoid confusion

we would like for your muse’s age to be around that of your faceclaim’s age. your muse may be four years younger or older than your faceclaim (if your faceclaim’s age is 25, then your muse’s age can be within the range of 21-29 years old). however, we will prohibit bending the age of minors to adults or adults to minors. therefore a faceclaim above 18 must stay above 18 and a faceclaim below 18 must stay below.

on that note, applications are only open for sixth years and up therefore your muse must be a minimum of 16 years old.

while this roleplay may mainly use faceclaim’s from south korean entertainment industries, we welcome all faceclaim’s regardless of nationality/ethnicity. with this in mind, we will not tolerate race bending.

currently, there is a four character limit per mun. the second character will be available after one week of activity on your first character. you must speak to the main if you would like a third, which will be available three weeks after. a fourth will only be allowed after one more month passes from that time.

please refrain from using members of the same group (if you already used someone from bts please do not use them again for your second character)

we will do official acceptance posts at midnight on wednesday and saturday of every week.

RESERVATIONS

please make sure to put the name of your faceclaim, the group (or state if they’re an actor), the house, any specialties (if applicable such as veela or animagus) and a password with your reservation so we know it’s you when you send in your application!

reservations will last three days. with a possible extension of two days. you may only extend your application once. this gives you an extra 48 hours send in your application before we give the reservation to someone else.

when you reserve, it will be held until midnight turns to the date listed as “reserved until __”. for example, if you send a reserve on march 6th at 9am GMT +0, the reserve expires on midnight march 9th turning into march 10th. if you’re unsure about the time, don’t hesitate to send in an extension!

Students are not allowed to enter the Forbidden Forest with the exception of Care for Magical Creatures classes.

Fighting is not tolerated at Hogwarts.

Students are to remain in their dormitories or common rooms after ten at night.

No magic is to be done in the corridors between classes.

The only pets allowed are small pets, such as an owl, a cat, a rat or a toad. Other pets of similar size may be permitted upon special exception such as hedgehogs, small lizards, and Pygmy puffs/Puffskeins.

In order to get to the restricted section, you must have a signed note by a professor.

Students are not allowed to use magic over the school holidays. Only of age wizards (over 17) are permitted the use of magic outside school. Magic must not be used in the presence of Muggles if at all possible.

Love potions are not allowed at Hogwarts.

No food or drinks inside the classes or the library.

Cheating is not tolerated at Hogwarts.

Be respectful of the Hogwarts Staff.

The use of Unforgivable Curses are forbidden and punishable by arrest and sentenced to Azkaban.

The breaking of rules will result in discipline. Including, but not limited to loss of house points, house point deduction, and notification of a guardian. Serious offenses will result in suspension or expulsion from Hogwarts.

Do not attempt to come in contact with Peeves. If you happen upon his mischief, contact staff immediately.

Upper years will be attending classes of the same subjects already offered at Hogwarts, but with a more advanced lesson plan and specialized course of learning pertaining to their desired profession.
