Another HoloEN generation another post from me...

Actually i have another Holo-related post in the works but i actually need to do some work for that one...

Anyway first up Elizabeth Rose Bloodflame

-well she's certainly British

-i know it probably bothers literally nobody but me but her... shoulderpads?... pauldrons?... seem to interact weirdly with her boobs when she moves...

Raora Panthera

-wow... that's an accent...

This is where the sleep deprivation seemingly caught up with me because Raoras movement were actually blurry in my eyes so I did the responsible thing and NOT drink my 5th can of energy and instead went to bed... so everything from here on is me watching the VOD...

-wow her desktop is even messier than mine... barely...

-Italian... so we have a German, an Italian, a British and whatever Gigi is (since she only speaks English and doesn't have an obvious accent I'm gonna assume American)

-also I think this is the first generation in all of hololive where no member is fluent in Japanese right? (Calli and Kiara in myth, IRyS and Bae in Promise and Fuwamoco in Advent... yeah)

-she want's to become a mama in hololive... that would be interesting

-well I think that was her 7th live

-doesn't like reading and skips text in games... Undertale is one of her favorite games... something doesn't add up

-how is naming all the pokemon a talent there's only like... a thousand of them... okay maybe that is a talent...

-4 covers and an original song... they really went all out with this generation...

-7 am EST... we EU fans are really eating good right now

Did HoloJustice day 1 impressions, onto day 2

Cecilia

Before: pon, quiet or shy, german

After: pon, I was correct there, also German, but they literally debuted HoloEU with 1 vtuber and all the languages she speaks. I'm actually surprised at how hilarious she is. Her humor can be pretty subtle or dry but also out loud as well. Really cute and subtle accent, also short at about 5'3". Actually likes tea, unlike the BRIT. ALSO THE VIOLIN, insanely talented.

Raora

Before: light voice, the horny one, fake Italian (like how Ame is "British"), tall, likes Pokemon

After: deeper voice than expected, but still quite charming in combination with her actual Italian accent, and only 5'2" (perfect chin resting height). I knew the moment I saw her mascot she was a Pokemon fan, and her disdain for reading even solidified that lol (no seriously, for some reason a good chunk of us hate reading). She seems less "horny" like I thought she'd be, and is more "cultured" (although I am curious about all the Nerissa files) if anything so far, at least she hasn't gone Nerissa yet. Her art is actually professional level, and if I'm guessing correctly, Hololive might have hired another overqualified vtuber because WOW, and she wants to be a future Hololive "mama" (aka the artist that draws the actual vtuber before it gets rigged). Very sweet, I like her food ideas, although i am a bit saddened she does not like pineapple on pizza. I think most already know who she was previously, because it was almost a 1 to 1 transition basically, so I think it's a well deserved spot in Hololive. Here's hoping maybe Nintendo stops being Dicks and lets her play Pokemon someday. Also, it sounds like she's been auditioning for years, so big congrats to her for finally getting in.

These two might be my favorites of the 4 tbh.

Justice as a whole

They seem to get along well, and have a pretty fun sibling bond already with banter and razzing- surprised by the lack of Liz and Rao flirting tbh, every Gen has a "ship" that seems almost immediate.

Idk why I was worried that Cover was going to go too hardball on their lore with such an intense focus on cross Gen lore and interaction with Advent, because in actuality they're about as adorably threatening as Team Rocket's Jesse, James, Meowth, and Wobbuffet- but if they were the good guys.

I can't wait for the collab ban to be lifted, because I NEED all of them to collab with the others and especially Advent. I wanna know who their oshis are and if there's any EN side that normally aren't oshis to newbies.

A pretty fun set, although I think I need a bit more time to really get to know them before I pick a definitive favorite. At the least, Kiara finally has EU buddies to collab and visit with.

Remembering that time Kanata willingly isolated herself away from all the men in game during a Minecraft collab.

I think people need to realize a lot of the older holo girls, especially the JP ones, are probably unicorns themselves and that's why they don't collab with the boys. Not to like an extreme like how you see online, but in the sense that they believe that they shouldn't interact with male idols as an idol.

You know I've spent a year as part of a few indie vtuber teams and my experiences were awful so here's a bit of random things I learned:

1. They're not friends; they're coworkers who aren't getting paid. It creates a weirdly hostile work environment because everyone is expected to "pull their weight" by which they mean you need to bring in views so that if they collab with you they actually get something out of it. However since none of us are getting paid for this so I can't take up time I'd otherwise spend with my partner/at work/living my own life to be there for "meetings" and such to discuss upcoming collabs and the like.

2. The Vtuber identities are not created for the team rather they join into the team; and what this means is that you could be in a "gen" with people who do not at all remotely fit your aesthetic and vice versa, and that would be fine but half of them take the RP element super seriously and the other half, like myself; see ourselves as streamers with a virtual webcam so you get this awful back and forth where someone in RP asks you a character question when you're just trying to vibe and you don't know how to respond and then you recognize that your humor doesn't line up because they start poking fun at you for not being able to just improv on the spot even though that's not your thing and you didn't know you'd be asked of it. Then you never want to collab with them again.

3. They have this obsession with growth to the point they will insist on getting "gen 2" streamers involved because they know bigger teams = bigger reach = bigger audience. So even though your team has no footing and absolutely no one is even aware you guys are a team or what that even means, you're already trying to bring in others. This means you are now expected to get along with every single new member even if they're not the sort of person you'd like to spend time around, because go back to point 1. You're not friends, you're co-workers. So if your gen mates decide to bring on some random person who literally says "to be honest I just see you as a man" you're just expected to put up with that because if you put your foot down you're told that you were hostile for even saying "hey I don't feel comfortable with this" Because they don't want to say "we don't want you around if you're going to potentially stop us from bringing in a bigger audience" since that sounds bad.

4. They all try to be Hololive or Nijisanji but they don't fundamentally understand why those groups are successful so they burnout in a month when they learn they don't immediately have 50,000 followers and tons of money.

I have a lot of thoughts about this sort of thing because I think Vtuber teams are really cool in concept but bad in execution because of how they're typically executed, if you're curious about my opinion on this at all it's all below the cut including an example of what I think a good team would look like:

The concept behind a Vtuber team works, and seems cool but only if they are done right. Let's assume for a moment that this is not a paid thing, you're just part of a team being put together from scratch, brand new streamers with no history, no company backing, and no funding. How do you do it so that you can ensure success? Well it's actually really easy, you decide right off the bat if you want being a team to be a fundamental part of your identity.

If the answer is NO then do not form a "team" or "group" instead I strongly urge you to just collab with one another and hype each other up while going about your own streams and the like.

If the answer is YES you need to solidify what it means to be a "team" in your mind. To me a team is the following: A group of individuals who stream under the same label in which they connect with one another and often stream with each other. However I'd argue to take it a step further, a team is themed.

This might not be the case for you but if you want to succeed you need 2 big things: 1 you need to ensure that "being a team" does actually mean something more than "I'm streaming with friends" because if that's the case look back at "NO" and take into account how you lose nothing by not being a team. If you think "being a team is part of our identity as streamers" or "being a team is part of our theme" or "being a team means I'll put time aside to readily collab with my peers" or whatever, then carry on. The other big thing is, 2. You need to be friends. I cannot stress this enough, I mean FRIENDS. People who know each other, people who can spend more than 3 hours in a room with each other, REGULARLY. I knew a lot of people who called me their friend and then neglected to respect my gender identity, I knew people who called me a friend and then literally raised their voice at me because I simply told them I disagreed with them on a subject. I knew people who called me a friend and then tried to cancel me for disagreeing with them even after they told me I had a good point and should bring it up with the group. MAKE SURE YOU ARE ACTUALLY FRIENDS.

Okay so you want to be a team, you have some friends; and you know you want a theme and all that. Cool alright now we get onto character design. You know one of the big reasons Hololive works so well? I'll tell you it's very simple, themes are easy to "market" HoloCouncil is a great example of that. The group aren't just people who collab together, they're each "the warden/guardian/keeper of [something]" be it time, nature, civilization, chaos, space, etc. This is why Irys can so easily be marketed as part of Council, because she's this angel/devil of hope and all that. If you want your group to be easily marketable as a group instead of as individuals (which is important mind you since you'll be primarily growing at an accelerated pace due to being in a group which I'll get to in a bit.) You need to have some kind of central theme. I literally do not care if you want to be a group of magical girls, power ranger parody, or even a generic RPG party (which I actually think would be really cool but I've never seen done before) it can be as super generic as you want because at the end of the day it doesn't actually matter. Funny that.

Your theme is going to determine 2 things, your aesthetics looks wise, and what you stream. Yeah I know seeing that you probably think "hold up fam I'm not letting my aesthetic dictate what I stream!" You're right, that's not what I mean though. If you're thinking that, you've got it backwards.

For example let's roll with the RPG Party concept right? So let's say you have 5 streamers, we'll call them:

Philip - Optimistic, Upbeat, Energetic, Friendly Roland - Stoic, Quiet, Artistic, Calm Walter - Uptight, Smart, Matter of fact, Logical Julia - Happy, Kind, Calm, Empathetic and Yuna - Calculated, Relaxed, Confident, Loyal I pulled these names and generalized personalities out of thin air shush. Let's quickly assess each person's real life (we're not talking characters here) personalities and preferences, we're looking for some overlap here.

So we know that Philip is upbeat and energetic and we know Julia has these kind of happy but calm vibes that's great we can make them collab partners since their general audiences will likely mesh with each other.

Roland, and Yuna are both calm / relaxed and the confident / stoic nature might play off each other well, their audiences will likely get along well and enjoy each other's personalities given the similarities.

I think Walter being smart and matter of fact means he's a good fit to collab with Yuna's calculated and confident personality traits while being uptight and logical almost makes him a great collab partner for Roland's more stoic and quiet personality.

Knowing what we know here we can see that at least in some regards we have a good spread of collabs here, but we're only looking at personality. It's also important to note that BEING ACTUAL FRIENDS any of these people should be able to collab with each other when they want. Since their personality features we're highlighting here aren't exclusively their only traits.

So let's look at what kind of games/activities they like to stream. Again we're looking for overlap in some places, just not everywhere.

Philip = FPS games, action games, and beat em ups/fighters Roland = Management games, cooking streams, art streams Walter = Puzzle games, strategy games, card games Julia = VR Hang outs, action games, farming/life sims Yuna = Card/Strategy games, MOBAs, Action RPGs

okay cool I think I've got it...

Philip is the party's Paladin, he's this upbeat confident personality who "leads them courageously to their next adventure" meanwhile Roland is the group's bard who records the party's adventures via art and cooks for everyone. Walter is the group's old sorcerer who studies magic strictly and effectively knowing more spells than most of his peers due to his years of dedication to the craft. Julia is the team Cleric who's never without a bright smile, even when she's smashing goblins and skeletons under her giant mace, she loves her team but doesn't actually know any healing magic because she cares so much about her party that she just fights anything that dares to hurt them. Lastly Yuna is the team Rogue who's always being a goblin under her hood secretly housing a few trick card decks, loaded dice, and in case of emergency a dagger under her cloak. Her confidence may be genuine or it might just be that she knows she's already rigged the game.

TA DA YOU HAVE A TEAM, YOU HAVE A THEME, YOU HAVE AESTHETICS, AND GUESS WHAT YOUR CHARACTERS FIT THE GAME STYLE YOU'RE LIKELY GOING TO BE STREAMING ANYWAYS.

Now let's review real quick because I know some people may have got lost in the weeds here with all the specifics.

Why does our team example here work while none of the teams I joined via twitter did? For the sake of explanation the example team I've proposed here will be referred to as the RPG Team while other REAL teams will be referred to as Twitter Teams.

RPG Team:

Are all actually friends who can get along and respect one another's time and effort without pushing each other for their own gain.

Designed characters and aesthetics around their own personal interests and worked out possible collab partners.

Has enough outreach in different places that they will be seen by many audiences from the art side of things to FPS games to farming sims to strategy games to Mobas, and they have enough in common that when they collab the viewers who are coming from one of their streams will likely actually enjoy the content and personality of the other members enough to watch them as well.

Can easily advertise as a group since their designs mesh well together and give a clear indication that they're a team.

Twitter Teams:

Constantly push other members to stream more, advertise more, brand more, market yourself more, gain more followers; not for your own growth but because otherwise they won't get anything from collaborating with you.

Were all designed independently without any interest in possibly even remotely working out a common theme among them, no one knows anyone here so we have no idea who will mesh well with others and what kind of audience they have.

We all found each other through the same game, which meant we didn't have outreach beyond those few games, meaning that we all shared a common audience instead of bringing in viewers from various corners of twitch.

People had no idea we were in a team when we didn't have some kind of branding/logo/team name obnoxiously front and center that meant nothing to people who didn't realize what a team was to begin with. So there was no point in being a "team" to begin with because it didn't add anything to our characters.

We weren't all on the same page as to how in character someone should be during collabs which resulted in a lot of awkward conversations.

We were more like co-workers than friends so if someone decided to be a transphobe I had to essentially bring it up with HR, except HR was a panel of peers who basically looked at who had more followers.

You might be saying "okay so if I want to make a team you're saying I need to only do this with my closest close friends and we have to make entirely new characters and start over?"

No but that would probably be way easier :P

If you vibe with someone, talk to them about it; and try to figure out who all you know well enough to make something like a team work. You don't have to enter into a team right away, you could all stream separately at first and collab here and there to see how you all vibe, and if you decide you guys think becoming a team sounds cool here's what you do...

Try to create a central theme from all your characters. It needs to be from ALL your characters though, and don't be afraid to get create with it just make sure it's cohesive. Like if you're all wildly different characters just saying "it's like in smash bros where everyone is from different things" isn't likely going to be seen as "creative" so much as a cop out. I'd argue it's better to create an entire universe around your group of characters than try to say they all come from a multiverse or something.

Once you have some kind of central theme, figure out what each person is going to "be" and then figure out how in or out of character you care to be. At one point I was part of a team in which I had a whole intro and such but I never cared to be in character so I'd still just give my little intro and then move on and just be me and everyone who watched me was chill with that.

Now all of you keep your own shit going on, you have your own characters, you have your own streams, the whole nine yards; but you're also now bound to a central narrative/theme/concept/aesthetic and ta da your team is a TEAM.

Now get out there and collab over things you like and make sure that you promote the whole team when you promote yourself, because if everyone does that it'll boost your exposure organically to people who likely already vibe with your style of content.

Day 4 - Kemonomimi/War Crimes

Day 4: . Botan and Watame wake up in an ominous bathroom with a rusty saw, asked to make terrible sacrifices. But who could the culprit be -Peko? Trying to pull a double today to catch back up, wish me luck.

“Charlie!” Even without the yelling Oriko would have heard her fiery Hololive Hunters genmate long before she saw her. Salamander took the steps three at a time as she descended the long stairwell that led to the rest of the office-building and entered Oriko’s makeshift home in the basement. Before hitting the floor she parkoured onto the wall to avoid having to slow her momentum, even letting out a burst of seafoam flames from each arm to push her into the basement faster. She looked around the room, spotting Oriko lying in bed fiddling with doll clothes, “Charlie!” She dashed towards her at full sprint, stopping inches before she’d be trampling Oriko’s bed and forcing small flames from her palms like brakes.

Oriko felt the heat from the flames reach her face and was grateful, not for the first time, for her silk’s supernaturally high ignition point. She slowly looked up at her genmate, unable to match Salamander’s boisterousness. Salamander’s shark-like teeth were arrayed in a broad grin, her eyes danced with viridian light. From her wavy crimson hair, obsidian horns curled around to frame her face. On her hands and feet long black talons faded into wine-red scales which rose along her arms and legs, contrasting sharply with her fair skin. At only an inch or two taller than their shortest senpais, Salamander was easily the smallest of Oriko’s gen but the missing mass had clearly been translated into raw energy.

“Charlie, I'm bored! Tell me a story!” Salamander shouted, before noticing the shadows under Oriko’s comparatively dull, emerald eyes or her sour expression. Oriko’s amethyst and black banded spider limbs hung limply beside her, only occasionally twitching or pincering something to hold it in place for stitching. Hunched over as she was, her shoulder-length, black fading into white at the tips twin-tails did nothing to cover the top of the metallic black device that covered her spinal column, or the green light it emitted. Essentially already in bed, she only wore a comfortable skull-print tank-top with fuzzy purple pajama bottoms. Her normal gothic-lolita dress, with all of its elaborate black lace and purple ribbons, sat on a mannequin beside the bed. “Not now Sally, I’m not in the mood.”

Salamander looked taken aback, “Damn bro, what happened? You’re usually all ‘hello, hello, Oriko’ but now you’re like…not.”

“I’ve been having nightmares, and someone murdered my camera while I was asleep the other day. There’s no point in telling stories if I can’t stream it.” She pointed across the room where shattered lenses and electronics still lay scattered amongst the audience of handmade toys that normally watched Oriko “stream”.

“Bummer. But if I’m watching there is a point right?”

Oriko didn’t look up from the doll-sized Pekora outfit she was sewing.

“Come ooooon.” Salamander gasped as an idea struck her. “What if I get you a new camera?”

Oriko looked up. “Where would you find a camera?”

“There’s a bunch of giant ones in one of the big rooms upstairs.”

“All the rooms upstairs are locked.”

Salamander rolled her eyes. She raised a finger pointedly and a blue-green flame ignited from the tip. “Nothing is locked if you get it hot enough.”

Oriko rose to her feet. “I suppose, if you show me where they are I can tell you one. They’ll be fun to tinker with at least. Maybe there’ll be some computers there too.”

She put the small dress onto an unmarked puppet, and shrugged, figuring it was good enough for Salamander. She’d add hair and ears later. And a face. For now, she grabbed two more dolls and moved to her theater. Salamander shoved a puppet out of its chair in the audience and took its seat, scooting it forward a bit for a better view. “Weave me a tale Charlotte.” Oriko rolled her eyes at the nickname, hiding a small smile. She was the only genmate who kind of liked Salamander’s nicknames. They were clever in a dumb sort of way, or maybe vice-versa.

“Hello, hello, it's Oriko! From Hololive Hunters! Today we have an emergency show for a very special, very needy listener.” Salamander rolled her eyes but said nothing.

Oriko lay the Pekora doll in the center of the stage, then dropped a Watame and Botan doll each into their respective corners, imbuing them with viridian energy that brought the puppet to life. She continued her narration. “Botan and Watame woke up in a dingy bathroom,” Oriko winced, she’d used the ‘wake up in a strange place’ trope yesterday too, she shrugged, it was good enough for Sally and for now no one else was watching.

Botan and Watame woke up in a dingy bathroom, three of Botan’s limbs were chained to a series of rusty pipes,and Watame’s leg was handcuffed to a radiator. An extremely decrepit bathtub was within reach of Watame, and a partially destroyed toilet was near Botan. Pekora was lying in the center of the room, in a pool of crimson. Watame started screaming immediately. “Botan, what's happening! Pekora’s dead!”

“Calm down, sheep.” Botan immediately moved to the toilet and lifted the lid off its water tank, testing how far her chains reached and noticing a slight flex to the pipes in the process. She pulled a tape recorder and a rusty saw out of it. “How did you know how to do that?” Watame asked.

“Its an escape room, they always hide stuff in the back of the toilet. Plus, there’s pretty much only two things here other than us and Pekora.” She scrutinized that saw briefly, glancing at Watame, before putting it aside, holding up the tape recorder. “Now, lets find out who I’m gonna have to kill.” She pressed play.

A voice came on that had obviously been pitched drastically down and scrambled slightly to disguise it. “Good morning Botan. You’ve turned your body into a finely honed weapon -Peko. But when Pe- when your boss asked you to do something yesterday, you just said ‘yes shachou’ and kept playing video games. Well then, lets play a game -Peko. You have 30 minutes until this room fills with a deadly toxin. I want to see how much of that body you’re willing to sacrifice to survive -Peko.” Botan glanced at her chained limbs and the rusty bonesaw, then turned towards the rabbit still attempting to lie motionless in the center of the room, astonished by Pekora’s rollercoaster-like competence for things like this.

“Oh no. That could be anyone!” Botan looked at Watame and wondered, not for the first time, how prey animals remember to breathe. “Yep. Its a real mystery. You probably have a tape in the drain of that bathtub, toss it to me and lets see what got you in trouble.” Watame looked and found the tape exactly where Botan said it would be. She tossed it to Botan and pondered aloud, “I wonder what it could be, Watame has never done anything wrong.”

“Hello Watame.”

“Hello.”

“You may have an oversized chest and a beautiful voice -peko, but that body is built with stolen property. Pekora knows you stole Pe…someone at the office’s limited edition cup ramen. Well now it's time to play a game, your gluttony got you here, but it might also be the key to your freedom. Good luck -Peko.”

“Oh no, what does that mean? Are we trapped here forever?”

Botan thought for a second, then tossed over the bonesaw. “Its a shame but you’re gonna have to cut off your foot to get out of the cuffs.”

“I do? Can’t we pick the lock or something?”

“Well those cuffs are specifically meant to go on your hands, and easy to pick with unbound hands because of that, but we’d need a lockpick for that, do you see one?” She gestured theatrically around the room, which was filled with rusty fragments of metal that could have easily been bent into the necessary shape.

“I guess not.” She started sawing. She closed her eyes and yelled in pain. When she finally cut through she was startled to hear Botan right next to her. “Good job, here let me tie that off before you bleed out.” Botan tied her belt around Watame’s leg, just below the knee.

“How did you get here!” Watame cried out.

“Oh, the pipes were really rusty, I just broke ‘em.” Botan flexed slightly, showing the chains still dangling from her wrists.

“Why didn’t you do that for me?” Botan shrugged and picked up the now discarded foot, taking a bite. “I was craving mutton.” Watame looked briefly downcast but allowed Botan to lift her into a piggy back position on Botan’s back. She even accepted when Botan handed Watame her own foot and asked her to hold it in front of her mouth while they walked. “I aim better when I’m full anyway.” Botan added.

“Aim? Aim what.”

Botan reached into her coat and pulled out a handgun, she racked the slide theatrically, and pointed it at the “dead” rabbit-girl.

“You can get up Shachou, I know it was you.”

Pekora bolted up instantly, one hand in her pocket. She cackled “Ha↑Ha↓Ha↑Ha↓ I should have known you’d figure it out -Peko. But Pekora was so secretive, what gave it away?”

Botan narrowed her eyes. Still pointing the gun at Pekora she pulled out the tape recorder with her other hand and rewinded briefly before hitting play. “Good luck -Peko.” She repeated it. “Peko. Peko. Peko.”

Pekora looked embarrassed. “But where did you get a gun? I searched you three times while you were knocked out!”

“You searched me three times and didn’t even find my fourth backup pistol? Were you even trying? I have at least three more on me! I don’t want to shoot you but you know I will, hand over the key.”

“Ha↑Ha↓Ha↑Ha↓ Feel free, but don’t expect to get out of here alive -Peko” She pulled out a detonator with the button held down. “This is a dead man’s switch for every high explosive that's currently on me. Enough to take out a small city block. If you pull that trigger you’ll be dead before I even hit the ground-Peko.”

Botan grinned. “Some parts of this were pretty hare-brained, but at least you had a good escape route planned.”

“Escape route? I always have this.”

Botan blinked in disbelief. “That aside, we’re at an impasse, how do we get out of this?”

Pekora pulled a key out from somewhere, “Just let me walk out the door and lock it behind me. Watame has another key in her stomach, you can take that one and walk out as soon as I leave.”

Botan glanced back at Watame, “Well, I suppose I could make some haggis.”

Watame threw herself onto Pekora from Botan’s back. “Nooo, just let me go Pekora. I’ll buy you a new cup ramen!” Botan was already half-way across the room, diving for the bathtub. Pekora threw her hands in the air and yelled, “You can’t! It was limited edition!” Rabbit and sheep both stared at her empty hands. “Oops -Pe…” The room exploded.

Botan looked up from the bathtub to find herself hurtling through the air, having been thrown, bathtub and all, from the building by the explosion. She grabbed a piece of freshly seared mutton that had landed in the bathtub and took a bite.

Salamander slow-clapped and rose to her feet, building her applause to a crescendo as she did. Oriko blushed despite herself. “Yeah yeah, are you happy now?”

Salamander grinned her sharky grin. “Very. I’m glad you picked a funny one. Sometimes you make them way too sad.”

“Sometimes the world is way too sad.”

“Oh my god, I thought you got rid of your goth half.”

“What do you-”

“Anyway, did they live through that?”

“Yeah, it's weird actually. That story is from a fairly nearby world so it should mostly follow the same rules, but an hour later all three of them are messing around in the office again with all their limbs intact.”

“Toonification.”

“Excuse me?”

“Most of the animal-girls in Hololive have some degree of Toonification. It lets them rubber-band. Cut off their limbs, they grow back. Blow them up, a few minutes later they shake off the soot and they’re good as new. Watame actually has the most out of anyone, she could walk away from a supernova.”

“Then…” Oriko hesitated, unwilling to ask, but Salamander followed her gaze to the Hololive Production poster on the opposite wall where Pekora and Watame’s faces were x’ed out in red.

“Then how were they killed?” Salamander grinned, much more predatory now, her inner shark smelling blood in the water. “No clue, Toonification is really just plot armor, and you’re the expert on that.” She leaned in close, her breath painfully hot on Oriko’s neck. “So how would you do it?”

“I wouldn’t!” She tried to shove her away but Salamander clung to her.

“How did you do it Oriko?”

Oriko’s eyes glazed over. “I don’t remember.”

“If you had to do it again though…”

“Hostages. Get them to sacrifice themselves for someone else. If their deaths have gravity, and meaning, the narrative can’t just shrug them off.”Salamander cackled and punched her lightly in the arm. “That's so messed up sis. I thought burning people alive was badass but you’re a goddamn artist.” Oriko collapsed to the ground, legs splayed at her sides, like a discarded doll. Her eyes were focused, but distressed. Why would she know something like that? The noise of grinding metal echoed from elsewhere in the basement floor. “Oh hell no.” Salamander hoisted Oriko into the air and threw her over her shoulder. “A deal’s a deal. Let's go get your cameras before the fun police bust us.”

finally~ completed all achivements!! now I'm ready for the next update!

judging on the Holocure tweets, the next update will include Gen 3 / HoloFantasy (without Rushia) and Gen 4 / HoloForce.

i'll continue to play every now and then until the next update just to fish and max level all my hired workers.

this is just wishful thinking from a Holostars Fan. i wonder if the next update would be Holostars OG9, since Holostars Gen 1 debuted inbetween Hololive Gen 3 and Gen 4.
