In the gardens of Goodnestone Park, Kent, the evergreen trees Quercus ilex (holm oak, evergreen oak, holly oak) form the main framework of the landscape. Here the trees are allowed to take their natural form but the species responds well to formative pruning and clipping and can be used as hedging.

Some warm up sketches while I work on a bigger tfota piece, as well some art from last year. Honestly, if you compare these to the early 2023 pieces, you're in for a shock. Each time I draw them, Suren gets meaner and Oak gets more handsome XD

His adopted son, Oak with a excellent kill count. His foster daughters Jude (he wish he was there for her first kill for the bonding experience) and Taryn (he's so proud of her for killing her husband, so efficiently too).

And then there's his biological daughter Vivi... carrying Red Cap blood but has never killed anybody(My personal headcanon is that Vivi has accidentally run over a annoying fae in the mortal world but has not told Madoc because he'll cry from joy and that's not something she wants).

we got a lot of jurdan moments in the prisoner’s throne but yk what’s my absolute favorite? no, it’s not that time where cardan called jude “[so many secrets,] wife.” not that time either where cardan was willing to fight wren if jude got hurt bc of her. also not that time where cardan whipped out his cloak to protect jude from the bolts.

my absolute favorite jurdan moment from book two was them being told through oak’s eyes: oak noticing the change in cardan’s voice when talking only to jude, when it’s just the two of them — how it becomes raw. so real.
