You know what's funny? Hollow Knight in general is a bit of a bizarre experience for me. I have extreme Entomophobia. That is the fear of insects and I also have extreme Ommetaphobia, the fear of eyes or being stared at. Yet despite both these things being extremely present in both Hollow Knight and Kirby it doesn't activate as much. I think it is due to the cutesty artstyle of both but then they have their dark spots. Deepnest, all of Kirby's darker final boss lore. And I even use these things in my own stories and ideas. I suppose it goes to show you that even some fears can be overcome if presented in the correct light.

Voices of Hallownest
Headcanons about the gods of Hallownest and their voices .
I don't specially think the gods of Hallownest truly have a voice. I think that they use the sound/voices of their followers.
When you hear a god (pk, radiance, wl) you do not hear a singular voice as one would expect but multiple (all of their followers voices whether they are young, old, male, female, or in very rare occasions, dead). If a god's "speech" is strong, booming, present it means that they have a great number of devout in which they can draw multiple voices from ( a god can choose whose voice they are taking ). Ofc this process has an effect on the devout, when the divinity uses their voice often/to much/with to much intensity, their worshipers will most likely have a sour throat or a raspy voice.
For exemple; the Radiance used hers a lot . She basically screamed in armory with her followers and it had repercussions, the moths had very sour throats and raspy or distorted voice ( it showed in Hallonest's prime and in the game event) . When she was forgotten she could barely talk, her speech was only a small pained whisper. But when the infection began her screeches were heard again (through the infected) more violent and angry then ever.
The Pale King does not use his voice very often, he cared a little bit more about his subjects well being than the Radiance (he doesn't really need to talk to be understood, a simple look of the eye or flick of the claw will make someone seize the order/want/intentions) this ensue in the citysen of Hallownest having clear and define voices.
The white lady, her, only uses the voice of trusted friends and ladies in waiting, like her knight Dryya, Marmu and others...
(And these trusted friends get showered with honey treats for their throats). She mostly uses female speech as she prefers how it sounds..
I also think that a gods voice can take some what of a physical form .
Like, golden light would come out of radi's mouth when she talks.
Tumblr media
It would look like that
PK's speech would literally float in the air
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Exactly like that !
And WL would have flowers come out of her mouth like that one brothers Grimm tale witch I CAN NOT remember the name of... (it was sm like "toads and diamonds")

So, I'm replaying Tears of the Kingdom, and I am really hyper critical of stuff, I realize that more and more, but god the game is a mixed bag. A really, really good mixed bag
On the one hand, I don't know if I will pick up Breath of the Wild in the next decade because of how much better the gameplay and combat and collectables and ultra hand and god the new enemies are so good. Horrablins are fantastic, just make a Proboscis Monkey evil, and Gleeoks and Frox are great, and of course it just has literally double the content of Botw, and it's just so good and I got the Official companion book (the game guide, not the masterworks) and it's great and I got the MM and Oot amiibo so now my paraglider can be Lon Lon Milk god it's a good game.
But on the other, they ditched breath of the wild faster than they ditched the Virtual boy. Every single shrine and guardian (minus one) has disintegrated, including the shrine of awakening, so now it's just a joke that the yiga hang out in. So they deleted shiekah tech to make the same thing for zonai And while there are freedoms that come with the more magical Zonai tech, Sheikah tech actually has a backstory, and feels older. Calamity ganon was a known quantity to a degree, so the entire world made an effort to end that war before it began, so there was a tech boom, just like in real life. Then, just like after actual wars, there was an arms collection and the government destroyed them. The Zonai just existed, found zonite, made a civilization that never existed in the first game (excusable, but still throws you off),went basically extinct somehow (how the heck is Zelda related to Rauru, and also pick a new name), made a pathetic defense against a much smaller force than Calamity ganon, and lost.
The only people who have a connection to the era of myth (the tapestry battle) are mummified in the shrines in botw, and it's as if their souls are speaking before they go. There aren't robots that still exist and just tell you everything. And it felt like a valid reset with Botw, a unified timeline, where nothing from the previous games can affect creativity, but come on, the second time collecting memories of someone you don't know before they make a novel sacrifice so that you can rescue them does not have the same effect. Also secret stones are really pathetic compared to divine beasts and the champions inherent powers, although I like the modern day sages powers, but having a ghost follow you around feels unnecessary when the method from botw worked so well.
And Ganondorf...
For those who don't know, Ganondorf from Oot, TP, and WW (and all the ganons) is the same individual Gerudo, after different events and timeline splits. And the most interesting appearance of him was in Wind Waker, when he explained that some of the reason he attacked Hyrule was because the desert was just a horrible place to live, and why should there be green field when his people go without water. It's like 2 lines, but it shows more humanity in a villain than any other Zelda game has done, and when I heard they were hiring Matt Mercer to do Ganondorf, I thought they would give him more of that, something beyond generic ruthless villain, a reason this Ganondorf, a separate extremely rare male Gerudo whose a mage and has the powers of evil and a second form he gets using his yellow magic item, was worth using instead of just letting Ganondorf stay dead.
But the writers didn't, they gave more cunning to the giant purple cloud shaped like a boar than the man.
Really, I just didn't like what they chose to keep from the breath of the wild and what they chose to ditch. Dispute that, I think it's my second favorite game on switch now.

just to remind you guys of the pain of the Hollow Knight had to go through once again: (not little ghost, the other guy)
They watched themselves be the only once chosen to live out of their thousand other siblings who die.
Knowing they were held up for the high expectations of being "the pure vessel", they chose to hide the fact that they knew they were imperfect and couldn't hold the infection because they didn't want to fail their father or their already dead siblings.
They were left alone in chains to hold in the infection as he watched himself implode into the infection, knowingly failing their father in utter loneliness and misery.
They have "world sense" which grants him the ability to know what happens outside the Black Egg, therefore they were able to watch Hallownest fall into the infection as well as their father just abandon the kingdom. :D
They had to be killed off* by his only other sibling, probably without the proper conclusion he deserved for their misery and pain and regret. (*he doesn't die if you get the true ending so GET THE TRUE ENDING PLS IM BEGGING)

Alright let’s get this straight
Hollow knight: silksong has never been delayed before. This is the FIRST TIME silksong has been delayed.
Yes it has been in development for 4+ years, but not once has the game been delayed.
The only thing close to a delay was when they announced that the hornet dlc wasn’t coming, and instead was becoming a whole new game. You could consider that a delay, but even then it’s delaying the dlc and not the game itself, because the game was just announced.
I’ve seen a lot of people reporting on the delay saying “it’s been delayed time and time again” NO IT HASN’T
This isn’t a cyberpunk situation, this is the first ever delay for it, and I’m tired of people, even those in good faith that believe the delay is a good thing, saying that it’s constantly been delayed.
Team cherry has ALWAYS maintained that it’ll be released when it’s done, and haven’t given themself a release date until they believed they could meet it. They gave themselves not only a release date, but a YEAR LONG RELEASE WINDOW, and have realised that delaying the game past this window will increase the quality of the game.
Love the delay (you should) or hate the delay (it’s okay, take your time to get over it), don’t say that this is a pattern or something that’s happened before.
The closest thing to delays is the fandom going “silksong is totally gonna be at [insert event here]” at every single direct-like event. Team cherry have never done anything to warrant this outside of maybe announcing the game a bit too early (they definitely were a bit too transparent for the first few months).
Thank you for coming to my Ted talk.

Silksong poetry to restore my hype. I researched theory videos and the footage of the game—props to the people who publish them—to make this. I really wanted to add more verses but I thought that would make the poem too long. Also, take this poem with a grain of salt, since it's mostly speculation. Poetry has been pretty hard recently because fall is the season when I get sick. I'm pretty sure that's the case for others too. Plus, I made so many poems to the point where I'm running out of original ideas. Thanks for reading ♥

I hate it in videogames when bad things or even straight up tragedy happen just because your character can't "really" talk or convey information.
I hate it in TOTK when I can't tell the Gerudo lady in the secret club that her husband have been imprisoned and that she will never visit him or make him bail out.
I hate it in Hollow Knight when you can't make Myla snap out of her early infection stage and send her back to safety in Dirthmouth like you did with Sly and Bretta.
And above all I hate it in Dark Souls when all the npc I love are condemn to tragic ends or miserable existence just because you cannot tell them how valuable and good companion they are, that you cannot reveal what you know and they don't that could have maintain theirs sparks of hope and humanity. That you just cannot say that you love them.

Well I never shared my HK art because I drew them for some reason traditionally this one of the few things I finished digitally maybe I will scan my other stuff...
I love sooo many things. It hurts me to not be able to share everything with you but my perfectionism would kill me for posting things that aren't "done" you know... It's okay with this one because I like how the picture feels so it's kinda finished in a way....

Oh hello. Welcome to all the peeps who found this miserable blog. I have no clue what’s going on here but can I offer you some tea or soda? My brain is rotted with Hollow Knight right now. So if that’s your speed take a walk and a gander.

Trying to find anything specific on here is like trying to find a needle in a haystack, good luck trying to find it *S I G H*
I've been trying to find a picture of chibi Radiance on the Hollow Knight's head but I've been getting a whole lot of nothing and it's really irritating...

i love how hollow knight is such a sad game. it's even better how you can go through the whole game without caring about hollownest's history or the character arcs of npcs, but you can still feel all of it in the atmosphere. the emptiness, isolation, just a depressive aura even though it's so exciting to explore. it feels beautiful and rich, but it's also broken and forgotten. it drives me crazy how this game accomplishes so much through visual storytelling and minimal dialogue/text. creating such a compelling worldbuilding with multiple civilizations all for a little bug game. like. these are just a bunch of bugs. why am i crying over a bunch of bugs again

I fucking hate Palworld so much.
The characters/“Pals” look awful.
The art style clashes so fucking hard it’s insane
You’d be pressed to find assets that aren’t stolen or “inspired” by other games.
it’s yet another open world survival crafter in a paid open beta that is almost certainly never going to have a full release.
But other games have done all that and worse. So why do I hate this one? It’s the fucking premise of it. The game is entirely based on the gimmick of, “Hey wouldn’t it be funny/cool if bad things happened to pokemon” it is an entire game based on a joke that every online comedian circa 2014 made. “Hey look Keeping pokemon is kinda like slavery. Isn’t that funny? Wouldn’t it be funny if pokemon actually died instead of fainting? Wouldn’t it be hilarious if cute thing was actually dark and worse. Look at how fucking funny and original I am”
The people thought this was a good premise to lock an entire game into are the same people who wrote those theories about children’s shows saying that everyone is dead, or imagined by another person.
You might as well make a platformer about a plumber but the moment he touches a mushroom, he dies because it’s so quirky and funny. Get it guys because mushrooms can be bad in real life. That is the same quality of game concept as fucking palworld is.
I give the game a month top before it is recognised as exactly what it is. Really fucking stupid, and not even in a fun way. It’s going to exist to suck people in for long enough that they can’t get a refund from steam, and maybe sell some merchandise in the meantime.

i genuinly cannot be made at team cherry for taking this long for silksong
if not i am freaking thankful that silksong is taking this long
NOT ONLY because it means they're doing their best to make it the greatest game ever
