How can Sherlock be a Ravenclaw?

Recently I saw a lot of posts on the internet about Sherlock being a Ravenclaw. But that cannot be, right? Sure he is super genius and everything but does he truly care about knowledge? As per Dr. Watson he does not even know the names of the planet and how the solar system functions. Also, to him, winning matters a lot. He is cunning and resourceful. Everything required to be a Slytherin. Does this make sense?
