Today was another long day in the den - crafting edition. Once I had set up my scant supply of Christmas decorations, I wrapped this wooden pot up in scraps leftover from doing my wallpapering, took a little break, then worked on setting up my trackers in my Hobonichi, before then realising I could use my star wallpaper to decorate it, instead of buying some blue paper. Late this afternoon I got to start decorating the first part of my shelves that my dad built, then this evening I had a comfort dinner, and a messy pudding (not pictured). Really looking forward to climbing into bed, as my room has become such a haven now that it’s so close to being completed.

Am I busy? A tad. Busy enough that I have started my 2025 planner to try to stay ahead of the chaos.

i'm locking in my choices for my Hobonichi 2025 purchase....it's the Denali Double-Down (Denali Weeks + Denali A6 graph notebook + Denali Weeks pencil board)

it took me forever to decide between the Denali Weeks and the Bow & Tie Sushi Weeks, but Denali won my heart.....even the choice of Sushi Weeks + Denali accessories was not enough. i think an icy blue planner will remind me to keep cool in 2025

update: My weeks is fine but my A6 definitely is showing heavy shadowing and feathering (when you squint). I don't know if I would have considered having gotten part of the bad batch if I didn't have the 2025 weeks on hand to compare it to. That being said, I'm a beginner to the fountain pen world, and I write with a LAMY Safari and LAMY black ink. I'm certain a fountain pen aficionado would have noticed much faster.

as much as I'm not sure how much I'll write in my hobonichi planners for next year in fountain pen, I think I'll be super frustrated if I got part of the bad batch for cost and quality expectations alone... as someone who has to fight the urge to planner hop a bunch, it doesn't bode well for my planner fomo if I've invested into planners for a year that came with a lower quality of paper than expected vs getting a planner that I know has lower paper qualify than trp and just bearing with it.

I have a YouTube channel now :D I will be sharing my journal progress, films, books, art and spooky hauls. I'm not the best at talking so it's all a bit nerve wracking but i'm hoping I will get more confident as I make more videos.

My first video is quiet with subtitles and in my second video I talk. I'm using my IPhone 7 to record as it's the only camera I have, I'm actually impressed with the video quality but I hope I can invest in some better equipment in the future.

I also have to apologise for the camera shake, I'm using a desk on wheels as I'm staying at my partner's house in another country, so I don't have access to a permanent set up. Again, in the future I hope to have a dedicated filming space for more professional quality videos.
