Movies and series I saw this 2023

Series:

⭐⭐⭐⭐ One piece

I loved it, is not like all those live actions that have nothing or little to do with the source material (RE I'm looking at you)

Adorable found family j-drama, Human warmth through sharing food 🍙🍱🍣

I watched this because of the two main actors and the costumes but I'm not sure I liked the story, it's not for me, I found it redundant

A thriller for a change but it was so chaotic.

btw I hated this guy Anan, he could practically beat every student in the school and no one could do anything?? also they did brother Anurak so wrong.

Godzilla through Japanese eyes (as it should be), returning to the essence of the 1954 film. I was lucky to watch it subtitled, in the following days the film was going to be shown dubbed in the cinema.

It has catchy songs and the animation is decent. I liked this opera format.

Where is the music?? There were even moments of silence where I thought another couple of songs could have fit in. It felt a little anticlimactic in some ways but I was happy to see more of these guys, it felt like a long episode actually.

Yes, the CGI is horrible and the two Barrys were so annoying.

I just came across the ask about H’s stunts and typical HLWD “relationships.” I don’t think his’ stunts really differ from the norm. It’s more of a perspective matter, like, we’re only aware of it bc we pay close attention to these matters when it comes to him (or the rest of 1D), most of us aren’t scrutinizing other pr stunts. Just a couple days ago this ~20s video of Camila and Shawn going for a walk (whilst looking funny/off) popped up in my YT recs, I watched it, and I’d already heard some rumors about their relationship being fake, plus some closeting rumors on both sides, but I wasn’t about to enter another stunt and cover up rabbit hole, but their fans might have a lot to say about this. There might be tons of evidence, loads of inconsistencies, but I’ll never know, to me it might as well be real. My point being, we would need to be very well informed in how other celebrities’ stunts usually played off, bc reading a couple articles about -idk, pick your favorite one, I can only think of Colton Haynes rn- someone talking about stunting won’t give us the same ten year mountain of details we’ve collected about Harry. Tho, it’s very important to listen to their stories, even if you’re not a fan. But if his’ stunts do have any special implications I’d guess it’s because of the amount of people paying close attention to his’ every step (a lot of them with a keen interest on his love life), the amount of money involved (a lot!), and the whole closeting mess on top of it.

A stunt that is utterly fake, absurd, and downright stupid/ridiculous to us, might just be another -same as always- average stunt to someone else.

Looking at tumblr archives I found OL promo video I’d never seen before. It’s SC inviting fans to send them their stories of lost love. Looks so insincere I cringed. Here they are these two who want to share nothing about their personal lives asking strangers to share theirs. Must’ve been 2017 after SA. I really feel terrible for the abuse SC have been put through. They were so precious, not Hollywood material. Not surprising it’s getting harder to like them. They’re victims of HLWD cannibalism.

That was another fine promo decision. It followed an interview at the SDCC where Lynette, in that subtle-as-a-mac-truck way she has, asked them a question about embarrassing fan interaction moments. They thought and thought 🤔 and then Rik (he was new so he was voluntold probably) remembered the time that a shipper had written a letter expressing her sadness that Sam and Cait weren’t together. Then they all nodded and said the appropriate (not) “Omg, yes, the letter” and awkwardly laughed about it. Then this promo piece. Of course they got some response to it because those people are out there, but mostly the Twitter and Tumblr reaction was unanimous...”What!? Why? So you can print it off, pass it around, and laugh about it? I don’t think so. 😡”
