Usually stays hidden away in her den in Deepnest’s Royal Village, but occasionally visits the surface town of Dirtmouth to check in on her sibling.

Resentful, bitter and stand-offish. Hardly ever leaves her den, almost always staying closed off in her chambers, only ever leaving to either check on her older sibling Holly, or to hunt for food. Although she is Deepnest’s Queen, she doesn’t really consider herself such; after all, nearly the entire population of her kingdom was destroyed by the Infection, so what’s left for her to rule?

Lived in Deepnest until age 6 when her mother Herrah was sent to rest as a Dreamer seal for the Pure Vessel. Spent ten years living in the White Palace, until the Infection began to return, at which point her father Chrysanthus left her to care for the kingdom herself as he went into hiding. Lived across Hallownest for the next fifty-odd years up until Holly’s escape. After they’d recovered enough to function mostly properly, she and they left Hallownest together in search of another place to live. Some unspecified shenanigans occurred that brought them to the decision to return to and remain in Hallownest.

Battle-hardened and merciless, she uses whatever tools she has at her disposal, typically relying on her trusty Needle and Soul-woven Weaver Silk as well as throwing knives to combat enemies.

HK:EP Fun Fact #8

Mystery is really good at cooking. It has multiple recipes it’s made on its own. Because it doesn’t have any taste buds though, it has Promise, Deliverance, Ette, or whoever else volunteers to taste test its food before it finishes the recipe. It lived on its own for a few years when it was travelling back to Hallownest, so it has a lot of experience with cooking! That and Ette taught it a lot, since she also lived alone for a while, and had adopted three kids (that being Mystery, Promise and Deliverance).

Holly, on the other hand, fucking sucks at cooking. Mystery has tried more than once to teach them how to cook, but it’s always ended up in something going wrong. Most frequently she just completely flubs the recipe, but sometimes she does almost burn down her house.

Amy does the cooking for them. With either Hornet’s or Mystery’s help, of course; he’s not the best at cooking either. He tries though.

HK:EP Fun Fact #2

Here’s a little collection: the Dreamers after Embrace the Void!

Herrah died a few months after waking up. Since she was just an average bug, not entirely affected by PK’s weird magic stuff, her soul being used as a seal for the Black Egg did a lot of irreparable damage to her. She ended up paralysed from the waist down, and that eventually progressed into full-body paralysis, and she passed a few days later. That makes Hornet the queen of Deepnest now. She’s not happy about it.

Lurien is still alive, lucky for him, but he was also paralysed from the waist down. However, because of his closeness to PK, he should live! He’s definitely going to be permanently disabled, probably either going to spend ages relearning how to walk, or he’s never going to walk again, and he’s dealing with some severe long-term memory loss, but at least he’ll survive. Probably.

Monomon got out with the least damage of the three. Thanks to the extra seal she put on herself, she was able to preserve her own life better than the others, and is mostly functional. She does have a bit of brain damage from the sealing, and she’s got amnesia as well, but these issues shouldn’t be too permanent, and physically she’s perfectly fine.

Bonus: their counterparts.

Hornet… she’s not handling anything well, really. She doesn’t really have much left to rule as Deepnest’s Queen, except for the one Weaver still living there, so she’s kinda losing it trying to figure out what the hell she’s supposed to do with her title. Holly’s trying to keep her sane. Keyword is trying.

Lurien’s butler is very much dead. Ghost didn’t kill him, it never even went up to the top of the spire. He died all by himself. Any bugs that were still infected when the Radiance was killed, died with her. That includes the butler.

Quirrel lived for a while after returning Monomon’s Mask, but eventually died from a combination of overexertion and old age. Holly did not handle that loss well, considering they’re already incredibly emotional as a person, Quirrel just adopted himself as their brother figure, and they were pregnant at the time, which made them all the more hormonal and emotional. He’s buried near the Dreamer monument in the Resting Grounds; Holly visits a lot, just to talk to him.

HK:EP variant idea

Pre-canon. Instead of Holly getting sealed at 16 like in normal EP, they get to live into their 20s.

After Chrysanthus and Viol realise that Holly is fertile and capable of producing eggs, since Viol stopped laying after the Vessels were born (which makes sense, there are MILLIONS of them), they decide to have an heir produced through Holly and an arranged partner.

That partner happens to be Amaryllis, who’d moved to Hallownest after Traumatising Stuff(TM) in Bugaria happened. Godflies are known to be compatible with Wyrms and able to produce living offspring, and Amy is the only Godfly living in Hallownest, so Chrysanthus requests that he agree to marry and produce an heir with Holly.

That happens, he falls in love FAST, as does Holly, they have a kid, and sealing proceeds as planned when the kid reaches a year old.

Similar to normal EP stuff goes on here — Holly and Radi happen to get along, the Infection returns, PK and WL go into hiding, Hornet and Amy are left to care for their respective kingdoms on their own.

Game events happen, Holly is freed, she reunites with her husband and child, happily ever after. Yeah :)

(Also they might move to Bugaria later on but who knows)
