Biological child of Hallownest’s Royals, otherwise known as The Pale King and The White Lady. Was abandoned and left to rot in the Abyss where it was born, though it escaped with a few of its siblings and left the Kingdom altogether.

Was adopted by Eternity (Ette for short) with two of its siblings, who she named Promise and Deliverance, giving it the name Mystery. Lived as a nomad with her and its sisters until Holly’s shell broke, at which point it left to return to Hallownest and take care of The Radiance.

With the assistance of The Godseeker, it ascended to Godhood and broke its own shell, becoming what is now the Monarch of Hallownest, and (essentially) a God of Darkness.

Very quiet and generally inexpressive. It rarely ever engages in conversation for longer than a minute, and even then it doesn’t really say much. For the most part, it’s a shut-in down in the Abyss, only ever coming up to Dirtmouth to visit its surface-dweller siblings. Despite its overall intimidating appearance and stand-offish attitude, it’s relatively kind (so long as it likes you, which isn’t the most common thing in the world).

Was born in the depths of Hallownest, but has lived most of its life outside the Kingdom, travelling with its nomadic sisters and adoptive mother. However, after sensing its twin’s call for help from its home kingdom, it left its family and returned to free Hallownest of The Radiance’s infection. It’s lived there ever since it killed Her, and prefers to stay at the bottom of the Abyss where it was born, its trips outside only being to hunt for its small cousin (which it had been placed in charge of caring for), and the far rarer visits to the surface being to check on its siblings (it’s somewhat concerned over Holly’s health, given they’ve recently had two more children).

It’s grown to enjoy hunting with its fangs and claws, but will summon Nails made of Void and use Spells when it feels like it.

Although she is Deepnest’s Queen, she doesn’t really consider herself such; after all, nearly the entire population of her kingdom was destroyed by the Infection, so what’s left for her to rule?

Lived in Deepnest until age 6 when her mother Herrah was sent to rest as a Dreamer seal for the Pure Vessel. Spent ten years living in the White Palace, until the Infection began to return, at which point her father Chrysanthus left her to care for the kingdom herself as he went into hiding. Lived across Hallownest for the next fifty-odd years up until Holly’s escape. After they’d recovered enough to function mostly properly, she and they left Hallownest together in search of another place to live. Some unspecified shenanigans occurred that brought them to the decision to return to and remain in Hallownest.

Battle-hardened and merciless, she uses whatever tools she has at her disposal, typically relying on her trusty Needle and Soul-woven Weaver Silk as well as throwing knives to combat enemies.

Passed away as a result of Void poisoning after working for many years with servants made of the substance, as well as directly exposing himself to its source in the Abyss.

Antisocial and quite serious. Does not let his guard down often, and when he does, it is only in the presence of his family. No longer actually rules Hallownest, as the King’s Brand has been taken by Mystery, and instead lives a somewhat average life in Dirtmouth, making a small living as a tinkerer.

Spent most of his adult life in Hallownest, his adolescent and teen years being lived outside the Kingdom and in the Barrens beyond. During his rule, he almost always stayed inside his Palace near the bottom of the Kingdom, but after his passing had moved into a moderately-sized house in Dirtmouth with his wife.

Does not do battle unless on trips outside the kingdom. In these situations, he utilises his Soul magic to defeat his opponents.

deets i wanna point out:

they got their moms eyes!!!!!! prety bapy

eyes again,,,, they glow all the time, which is really common in wyrmroot hatchlings. they have a bit of a hard time seeing because of it, since the glowing is to help with seeing in dark environments, and the surface is. not dark. not all the time at least

ALSO SPEAKING OF THEIR EYES they have very short eyelashes for now, but as they grow theyll end up just as if not longer than hollys

unlike holly, they do have an actual tongue!!! and the rest of their organs, too!!!! meanwhile holly only has a reproductive system and half a respiratory system

sombres teeth arent grown in yet, since they’re only 3 weeks old. proper baby teeth start developing in wrymroots when theyre a couple months old. until then, theyre feeding entirely off hollys leaves and little tiny bits of meat that they can swallow whole.

their fur/skin has more pigmentation than holly and most of the vessels. thats bc of their dads genetics :)

their horns are itty bitty and very round, since theyre so young. theyll start developing into proper wyrm horns when theyre about 3 or 4

Narrowly avoided death after escaping the Black Egg at age 79; it takes a grand lot to kill her, and her sister Hornet as well as a Dirtmouth resident were there when they escaped, and prevented her from passing.

A quiet gentle giant, preferring to stay indoors or underground, either alone or with their family. She used to work as a Knight for her parents (enduring an unfortunate amount of neglect and abuse while doing so), and was used to seal The Radiance after She started an infection. They no longer do that sort of work — they’re far too old and weak to fight anymore — and currently remain jobless, as they are disabled and perpetually exhausted.

Has lived in Hallownest for her entire life; through their adolescent and teen years, they lived in the White Palace, which has since been destroyed and hidden away in the Dream Realm. Currently, they reside in a moderately-sized home on the surface town of Dirtmouth with their sister and partners, doing little other than caring for their children and resting.
