Indian youth and Politics - long way to go!

In 2022, India saw 67,387 hit-and-run cases.

What is the punishment for hit-and-run in India? Under the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS), which replaced the colonial era Indian Penal Code, drivers who cause a serious road accident by negligent driving and run away without informing the police or any official from the administration can face punishment of up to 10 years and a fine of Rs 7 lakh.

I bring up an event that happened a few months ago in which nine young boys were hit by a teenage male from an affluent household, resulting in their deaths. There are some instances where boys from wealthy homes treat driving a car like a computer game, and truck drivers take it very lightly when they drive a truck and endanger the lives of many people on the highway. We've all seen it happen almost exactly. On the way to office, one of my friends witnessed an accident. After hitting a man, a truck driver attempted to flee the scene. And then driver purposefully tried to crush the man on the bike by putting the truck in reverse gear after seeing that the rider is not died.

Many of you have probably watched the web series "Maai." Sakshi Tanwar plays a fantastic role in it, and the plot revolves around a hit-and-run where a murderer finds it easy to kill by accident because there are no strong laws or penalties against it.

Now many of truck drivers on strike to confront this law and opposition support it. They claim that they are supporting poor drivers but they are not supporting poor. They are supporting the wrong thought and big business who were hit by this strike.

I wonder that none of the citizen support the government for this. I haven't found single post in support of ruling government. Either youth have not much knowledge about serious news, they are just interested in social media news or we are those educated citizens who are just after receiving piece of paper. These population can change destiny of nation?
