Can you spot what makes this carpet different from other oriental carpets? In addition to the common motifs it also includes some imagery associated with Christian symbolism as it would have been displayed in a monastery. The Iberian peninsula in the 15th century (and before) was a melting pot of cultures and religions and this carpet is a prime example, it’s wonderful that it’s been able to be so well preserved. #studygram #studymotivation #studyblr #studyabroad #studytime #studycommunity #studyhistory #studywithme #studyspo #journalcommunity #desksetup #organization #journalinspiration #historystudent #museumstagram (at The Art Institute of Chicago) https://www.instagram.com/p/CpgOEKkuZuY/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
Hii hope you’re okay! I was wondering first of all what were your pronouns? If it’s okay ofc
And second what’s your favourite period of history? What’s your favourite part to study?
And is there more languages you’d like to learn how to speak?
I don’t mind at all, in fact im grateful to answer!
I go by any pronouns and I love to study Caribbean indigenous history and Latinamerican history. But when it comes to a time period, as of late I’ve been researching a lot about 1850-1900 Caribbean history! (And a bunch of fashion history as well)
I would love to learn Chinese dialects like Cantonese since I already have the mandarin foundation for it. Other than that I would love to learn russian and indigenous languages 💚 liklanguageslalikeNaNahualt 💚
Which is writing my stories and reading more books. Getting to know everything about foxes. Rearranging my bookshelves. Watching the rest of the X-Men movies (I have seen First Class and Days of Future Past so far, Apocalypse is what I would want to watch next but cannot yet).
There is the stuff I should be doing.
Which would be just taking the graded quiz for my university English class. Or working on the two presentations I have to give in two weeks time. At least skimming through dictionaries for my linguistics essay that I have to write during the semester holidays.
And then there is the stuff I actually do.
Which is watching X-Men movie clips on YouTube, reading Cherik fanfiction and probably, later, watching the first X-Men movie (after finishing my quiz, I have only a bit of time left to finish it). I am currently a bit obsessed. Also, writing weird tumblr posts.
I really suck at writing though, or rather, at getting started again. I haven't gotten around to it in months and that hurts my soul.

What I thought doing a research paper on King Arthur would be: Fun, reading fantasy books, talking about jousting and wizards.
What it actually has been: I’ve spent three months researching the cost of warhorses, and discovering everyone was named Arthur in the fifth century.God Lancelot sucks, I haven’t slept in three days. I will personally throat-chop Sir Thomas Malory when I get to hell.
• Started my day playing some Sims to complete disconnect from everything around me and destress. Not really productive, but I needed it.
• Went for å hike with a friend in this beautiful sunny weather☀️
• Had some cake instead of a healthy snack, just because it’s Sunday and I wanted some.
• Planned next week.
• Rearranged my shelf by color.
• Made and overview of WW2 for my pupils.
• Worked on my Master Thesis.
Winterbreak will be over and I’m back at work tommorow. I’m lucky to still have a job at these uncertain times, but I still have to admit that I would love a little longer vacation☀️😇
We recently led our Spanish Civil War tour for a group of high school students from Denmark. It was a joy to meet such engaged, responsible young men and women who understand the relevance of politics and the tragic end of the Spanish Republic and the bravery of the international Brigades, which included many Danish volunteers. We will never forget those heroes and heroines! Beware of imitations. We are part of AABI, the Spanish Association of Friends of the International Brigades and this tour is not a commercial venture. 😍👩🏻🎓✊✊🏾✊🏽✊🏿✊🏻👏👏👏❤💛💜📚#acrossmadrid #acrossmadridtours #spanishcivilwartours #tourswithaprofessor #memoriahistorica #historymatters #brigadasinternacionales #internationalbrigades #spanishcivilwartoursforschools #learningaboutthespanishcivilwar #spanishcivilwar #vivanlasbrigadasinternacionales #studentsfromdenmark #historystudents #estaesmibandera #weareantifascists #theoneandonlyspanishcivilwartour #bewareofimitations #wearetherealdeal #thisisnotacommercialtour #educationalcontent #weareeducators #wearenotneutral #francogenocida #republicaespañola (at Madrid, Spain) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bxbq6pNI5Of/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1gli92jsh1cu6
Monday, new week! Today wasn’t as productive as I think but it’s doesn’t matter. So today:
I woke up at 9 am! And it wasn’t that hard!
I outlined my story, yes, again, and I outlined a lot (that was quite productive so I proud!)
I wrote 800 words, I was struggling a lot during this writing session.
I did 20 min of yoga during the morning and really need it (my neck and my back hurt a lot)
I just discover Gilmore Girls (thanks to @thomastudies and his stories!) and I have just watch the first 3 episodes, this is so great, I love it! Now I want a big cup of coffee (not a great idea, it’s 10:37pm!)
