Wilbur: Do you know what the L'Manburg way is, gents? I'll give you two guesses. Eret: What is that? Wilbur: We talk at them. We lull into a false sense of security, right? And that's when... we stab 'em in the back, Tubbo. We stab 'em. (21:41)

Eret: [Looking at the ruins of L'Manburg.] What a beautiful sight. I built L'Manburg and I tore it down. [Deep breath.] These men. They never earned anything themselves. I built them up and I tore them down. It was mine to destroy. (1:30:50)
10/10 - Holy fucking shit

I can't say I think it was a joke at all from Quackity. He has a long history of doing things like this. It's definitely not a joke, Quackity is a clout chaser who has dropped DTeam.
I really don't think Quackity, whose primary English Speakers on his server and current primary draws for the English crowd are Foolish, BBH + Philza + Wilbur is going to try to start a public feud with dteam.
Like, let's put aside any discussion of morals or anything like that, it literally just isn't even a good clout chaser move. He'd be driving a hard split in his audience for no reason, and there's a decent chance he'd drive off some of streamers on his own SMP. And he'd look awful while doing it.
Dream announcing the USMP was super open about Quackity being his inspiration and thinking QSMP was cool as fuck. Him doing that helps draw in the English speaking audience and links between the two SMPs can help significantly boost both servers. Quackity has everything to benefit from supporting USMP, and basically nothing to lose.
Him legitimately starting beef with Dream for some reason would be a terrible move for clout, because it drives people away from his fandom/the server, and based on how Dream was behaving kindly, it makes Quackity look terrible. He'd also face a huge risk from losing large sections of the English side of his fandom. Foolish and BBH are both very close friends with Dteam, and neither of them would stick around if Quackity did decide to be a dick. Philza and Wilbur would also probably be pretty hesitant to stick around, neither of them are down with that sort of behavior, and they'd probably rather just peace out. It'd be a huge blow to the entire server, and just a very dumb idea.
So, when weighing the odds that Quackity decided to suddenly make a really bad move, start needless drama, and possibly drive off parts of his audience/part of his SMP vs the odds he just thought it'd be funny and the joke just didn't land with people. I find the second more likely. The first is possible I guess, but I don't see it being the more likely option.
Idk, I think it was just a joke that didn't land well, and I think Quackity should step up and handle it. That's all that needs to be done there.

I got sick and didnt feel like watching dsmp so I just watched a bunch of random movies I found on my german piracy site of choice for almost a week but now Im better and Im about to watch Eryns origin story and idk man, I just felt like sharing my thoughts about that guy so far
First of all, Im so curious about this concept of any dsmp character having an origin story bc its like. their origin story is that they showed up. thats it. Like yeah, a lot of people very obviously have histories going back to before they showed up on the smp but theyre never really elaborated upon. Niki and Wilbur would kill for eachother with no hesitation, no explaination needed, stuff like that
Also, Im curious about some of the demon lore we'll potentially get bc like, demons arent a thing in minecraft the way slimes or endermen are but Eryn said he is one and also actually confirmed that BBH is one as well (I think he did anyway, I know its been popular fanon for a while but I dont remember it being brought up in canon before he said it), so Im curious how theyre gonna be integrated. My prediction is that theyre basically just gonna be like, the nether-equivalent of humans. Like, in the overworld the humans (or player characters ig) are the only sapient creatures and in the nether its demons.
But thats general lore stuff, now I wanna talk about my guy Eryn !!!! :D
I like him so much and idek why. Hes just a fun guy a fun lil guy I love him :D
I guess the best way to describe it would be like, Im very charmed by him. I love that hes like, this edgy-lookin ninja guy who likes to cause trouble, hes really the chaotic teenage boy this server has been missing ever since every other teenage boy has either been horrifically traumatized or is Purpled. I also like that, despite him being this chaotic teen boy who does what he wants, he seems to very sincerely admire Eret and listens to them for some reason ?? I say 'for some reason' because Eret has kinda been old news for a long time, like the fact that theyre a king doesnt mean anything because actual governments just kinda stopped mattering to everyone except for Wilbur and Quackity, but that honestly just makes it more charming. Eryn and Erets entire dynamic is just so good idk why, but its so comfy and chill in a way where you can tell theyre still just aquaintances but its still so nice yknow. This kinda ties into my previous point as well, I really like how he put a shit ton of effort into getting good knight armor and honestly really wants to be a knight while also demonstrating that hes willing and able to like, steal shit from the prison
Another thing that I find really interesting is his complete and utter lack of connection or interaction with Dream. Like, he arrived after Dream had long been in prison and while he left an undeniable impact on literally everything in the server, no one really. talked about it? Eryn seemingly had to go out of his way to get any kind of information because when Dream was still locked up everyone was all like "welp, the big badscary villain man is gone, and we're all safe so we dont have to worry about him anymore and we'd rather not talk or think about him lest we spoil everyones good mood" and then when he escaped they were all like "oh no, we're already feeling so anxious and bad bc we dont know where he is so we'd rather not talk about him lest we make everyone feel even worse when everything is already so terrible". His mindset is that Dream hasnt harmed him personally and hes never really interacted with him so he doesnt really have an opinion on him, which is very interesting as well. On one hand, it seems a bit naive to think that way when literally everyone keeps telling him how horrible that guy is, but also, while none of the conflicts on the dream smp have ever been caused by mob mentality, they have certainly been exercabated by it, so i guess its better to have less of it
I do have mixed feelings about that though. I feel like I'd need to see Eryn interact with Dream in order to really form an opinion on that and I feel like they might actually do that. Like, Eryn is Tommys friend and I think if Dream somehow found out that he doesnt have any negative feelings towards him on the basis of "he hasnt harmed me personally", he would definitely try to exploit that and I think that could be really interesting. If that doesnt happen in canon I might write an AU about it, probably not straight up villain!Eryn but maybe leaning more towards chaotic neutral idk

worst dsmp take might be ppl comparing lmanburg to colonists
no the worst dsmp take is those same people calling a bunch of white (mainly american) people "indigenous" because they don't realize that appropriating racially charged language (using it Incorrectly) to paint their little minecraft guy as oppressed to win an argument online is, in fact, racist.
for the record:
dream, sapnap, and george where there first. they are not indigenous because they Also Traveled There. dream was not born there, there isn’t a culture that was developed over many generations that the other members of the dsmp are not a part of, because he showed up two to three months before tommy got there. he is not the “native population,” he is not Indigenous, he is a white guy that traveled to a land and then claimed all of it.
if we Were to use terms like “indigenous” in this context, then it’d be for mobs with a society, like villagers or piglins. but I’m going to hazard a guess and say that All of the discourse in the dream smp would be better off if we avoided language like that. it could not more clearly be charged language chosen specifically to demonize or valorize based entirely on the Real World History connected to those terms and not the events within the story. there is no productive conversation to be had within this framework, and everyone who’s not trying to insta-win an argument by shutting it down with scare-tactics knows that. either nobody’s a colonist or everyone’s a colonist and that’s not a conversation that I think we want to have.
and for the record Once Again, even disregarding all of that L’manberg Is Not An Example Of Colonization.
the l’manbergians Were Citizens Of The Dream Smp. they did not Invade the dream smp because they lived there. they were Meant To Be There. they were Contributing To the culture of the land that they lived In (tommy making church prime with dream, the Literal main religion of the region, and building the prime path for instance).
the l’manbergians didn’t Colonize, they Seceded. because they were Already citizens of the dream smp, but they claimed a section of land (land that had been Empty Forest, dream didn’t actually know where it was at first Because it’d been unoccupied by either mobs or other players) and declared that they were No Longer citizens of the dream smp and instead wanted to self-govern.
they did not travel to a culture that wasn’t their’s, claim it for themselves, and then either force the people that lived there Out or force them to abandon their original culture for the new one. what they took away from dream Was Their Own Citizenship. was Dream’s Ownership Over Them And Whatever They Built.
any conversation about the morality of this fact has to be made with the understanding of that. dream’s rejection of their independence wasn’t about the land, it was about maintaining ownership of the people on it. dream wasn’t trying to Stop colonization, he was trying Keep The L’manbergians Inside Of His Society (under his Rule).

The Technoblade Conspiracy
Even before Dream claimed there was a traitor in Pogtopia, there's been a lot of...suspicious activities happening in Techno’s streams. Others on the SMP are already distrustful of him, and the fans are as well, but I believe that we’re focusing on the wrong thing here. This thread isn’t quite a traitor theory, but rather a dive into what Techno has been hiding at large. I can say with utter confidence that the extent of what Technoblade has accomplished on the Dream SMP is being greatly underestimated.
I recommend looking at the sus Techno moments thread by @piggytechnobarb on Twitter for some of the stream clips I'll be discussing.
This is going to be fairly in depth, so the rest is under the cut!
1. There is another room under what Techno calls his "secret base"
I won't talk too much on how strange his choice of "secret base" is for now, but please do keep in mind how out of character it is for man-who-tracked-down-Squid's-college to settle for a home base so unprotected and close to Pogtopia's very well known location.
So, for some reason, there is Polished Blackstone Brick under the floor of Techno’s wall. He accidentally reveals this when a donation asks him to mine the exposed redstone in his wall, acts a bit strange for a good 15 seconds, and then never mentions it again. Sight of the brick prompts him to silently zoom in, fill the hole with stone (not cobble), and say "Don't ask questions".
Tumblr media
This is only so strange because there's no real reason for him to have stone at the ready, or any blackstone brick at all. Techno is NOT a builder, and if a creeper blew up down there, he'd fill it with cobble and not give a shit about aesthetics. He doesn't use smooth stone in his base, and has never built with blackstone on stream. Not only are they unusual items for him to have, it's unusual for him to make a point to not have the viewers question it. Yes, it could just be Techno being dramatic, but why did he go silent for a straight 5 seconds at the sight of the blackstone?
Considering who he is as a player, it is completely in character for Techno to build a second base. The lake he lives under is incredibly near Wilbur and Tommy, and he's well aware that all an enemy has to do is watch his stream to infiltrate his base. Techno goes to the extremes when they aren't even required (Ex. His insane skill in party games, beating Skeppy in as niche of a game as Grinch Simulator, etc.) So I don't think it's a stretch for him to go the extra mile, and hide a bunker/resources/extra armour and what have you from even his own viewers.
2. The overpowered illegal villager farm
For those of you who don't watch Ponk, he recently stumbled across an area that is supposedly banned on the Dream SMP - a villager farm. In the clip, his voice is astonished and his confusion is palpable, and he goes so far as to say "It's a full scale arms race" because of how many good trades there are. The location is laced with traps, though he doesn't mention what exactly he had to get past to find the farm. Ponk's reaction is far too genuine for the farm to be his, but then that begs the question, whose farm is it?
...Who is willing to risk Dream's wrath by breaking his rules? Or, alternatively, who is capable of making a secret pact with the server owner to allow such a farm? The answer could only be Technoblade.
Ponk says it himself in the video, he does not have the time to build this. Whoever made this had to have carved out a hidden cavern, lead at least 14 villagers down there, breed them until only the ones with the best trades were left - all off stream, and without another player catching them. Whoever made this had to spend hours of work with no content to show for it, and who do we know has been grinding for DAYS on the server? Technoblade. Not to mention, all the villagers are numbered, and all but one are fletchers.
Tumblr media
The signs above each stall are so important, because going so far back as SMP Earth, Techno has a history of dispassionately breeding mobs to his benefit, and then killing any mob not performing well enough. For example, his horse farm: where the horses stay in numbered rooms rather than all being named. The villagers in the screenshot above are numbered rather than named.
Wanna hear a fun fact about Fletchers? They're well known for accepting sticks for emeralds, but will also take string for that trade as well! And guess who has been seen waiting at the spider spawner collecting string by Sapnap, Awesamdude, Quackity, and multiple other players? Technoblade.
Technoblade also has every reason to be breeding villagers for special arrows and crossbows, because he's said on stream that he wants to try spamming multi-shot crossbows in combat to take out huge groups of enemies. He said at a later point that he had run into trouble with getting multiple crossbows with the enchantment multi-shot, and implied it wasn't going to happen. But has he ever been the kind of person to be stopped by something being challenging? Absolutely not.
Think of literally anything Techno has done - his Bedwars win streak, beating MC with a steering wheel, the Potato Wars - what I believe is really happening, is that Techno is lying about how equipped he is so that no matter what side he ends up fighting for, his enemies will have no true way of knowing how powerful he is.
3. Dream might be his secret ally (AKA The Glowstone Incident)
This brings us to a...confusing moment in Techno's stream that sparked a lot of questions. It pointed me towards 2 different, but not necessarily exclusive, theories.
The Glowstone Incident precedes as follows: Techno needs glowstone but can't find any in his chests, so he puts on his BRB screen. He says that he is "hacking" and asking Dream to use game mode to give him the glowstone. Typing can be heard, and then multiple chests are opened. Techno takes off the BRB screen and he now has three stacks of glowstone dust. This was absolutely bewildering to watch live, and was one of the most blatantly suspicious things he has done in front of his viewers. (You can find the exact clip on the thread I mentioned, it is...so weird)
Theory A: Though unlikely, Techno could be Dream's secret ally, and Dream really did use creative to give him the stacks. Or, he potentially gave Techno OP permissions so that he could get the glow stone (and any other materials he’d want) himself.
We all remember their meet up on that ocean hill, where Dream gives Techno golden apples, diamonds, and other such materials for the battle against Schlatt. It seemed to be a one-off gift that was more for Wilbur's benefit than Techno's, but there's potentially the chance that Dream saw an alliance to Techno to be more beneficial than working only with Wilbur, and contacted him off screen to make deals.
Going back to the Village Farm - for a player to get the exact enchantment they want for a reasonable price, breeding them is the most logical option. It's the route Techno would take regardless of Dream's rules on the SMP too, as he tends to show little regard for what the creators want (Ex. Taking over SMP Earth, exploiting Hypixel Skyblock, etc.) However, it could also be possible that Dream gave Techno permission to do this, and so the reason Techno is keeping the farm secret is so that the viewers don't know of their alliance.
Theory B: Techno has hidden resources in his base that he doesn't want anyone to have even the chance to see. Whether it is to hide from enemies watching (or to hide from Dream in particular because Techno knows he's breaking the server's rules) there are secret chests that Techno has with extra resources that can be heard loud and clear in the video.
They could be simple ones hidden in the walls...or in the blackstone brick base hidden under his floors. Saying he’s “hacking” rather than the reality of him just checking all his chests again is on par for Techno’s usual dramatics - yet we can clearly see that there’s no glowstone in any of his chests. This is why I believe he got the glowstone from some unseen resource. With the BRB screen on, Techno prevents his viewers from actually seeing how he got the 3 stacks of powder, and it keeps the location of his hidden materials safe.
Personally, I feel theory B is more likely, but there have been moments where Dream has acted Sus so...be on the lookout y'all.
4. Techno not participating in MCC
For those of you who watched Techno during the Potato War, many will remember that MCC 6 had a stressful undertone. Because of how much effort and time Techno had been putting into farming on Skyblock, taking a break to compete in another event was distracting. It ultimately led to him losing time that, from his perspective, would have been better off spent farming.
Techno might not be as blatantly grinding on the Dream SMP as he did with the Potato War, but it's undeniable that other streamers have seen him online for stretches of 10 hours and more. When asked about why he wasn't participating in the next MCC, Techno didn't say he was taking a break - something that'd be entirely reasonable and honestly well earned - he said "I don't want to."
It could be awkward phrasing by virtue of Techno's personality, but what I think is more likely is that Techno has learned from his past mistakes. Rather than "waste" time competing in MCC, Techno might be planning to use the time everyone on the SMP is gone to his advantage. He could sneak into enemy territory, set traps in certain areas, or maybe even perform some illegal acts that Dream would never allow. Either way, I suspect Techno has something planned for the 14th.
Honorable Mentions:
Dream poking fun, or blatantly covering for Techno?
Tumblr media
This clip of Techno's secret Something??? next to the spider spawner, undeniably suspicious
Techno had around 5 stacks of wool in his inventory at one point - he absolutely could be bed mining the nether not only so that he has multiple sets of OP netherite, but possibly because he's preparing the gear for another person (cough cough Philza) or people
Techno's collection of ghast tears. He's studied Crystal PvP and made plenty of 2b2t references in the past (Look up FitMC for more info on those things) So it could be possible that Techno is hiding stacks of end crystals so that he can decimate multiple players in an instant
All in all, I'm 100% convinced that Techno has some serious plans hidden behind the scenes that he's not going to share until it's time for him to unleash utter chaos. We know he's keeping secrets, we know he's had the time, and we know he's capable.
I hope you all enjoyed my research and feel terrified of what Techno could possibly have done off camera :D
If anyone else has different theories, corrections to what I wrote, or other moments where Pink was Sus, feel free to comment!

the antarctic idiots [pt.1] - c! technoblade
Tumblr media
summary; in which two anarchist piglins adopt an ender boy.
genre; child! ranboo, piglin hybrid! reader, slight canon divergence from dream smp, fluff, found family au is my shit, reader is now ranboo’s parent i don’t make the rules, techno is a grumpy father but it’s okay you love him, realistic minecraft? (idk how to describe it-)
pairing; c! technoblade x reader, platonic! ranboo x reader
word count; 1.5k
a/n; fuck it, it is here now. here’s the techno x reader you fucking simps. i can’t even be mad bc i too am a simp for the anarchist pig that is technoblade.
i hope this is somewhat up to par with everyone’s expectations since i hyped this up so much. this is one of the few writings that i actually like so- i couldn’t resist waiting so long to post it AAAAAAAAAAAAAA
next >
Tumblr media
now you never really expected to find yourself on a side of history that was deemed "the villain's side", especially when the villain wasn't even that bad.
okay, that's a bit of a lie. this piglin man blew up an entire country to end government. plus he has evaded his taxes. i mean the list goes on but that's not the entire point here.
the point is, you found yourself actually being friends (even going as far as housemates) with the so-called evil anarchist.
now we might be moving too fast here, so let's move it back a little bit.
Tumblr media
"so you want me to join pogtopia?" you looked up, shutting the book in your hand as you leaned back on your chair. "and what would i get in return exactly?"
"...our friendship won't die?" the voice of wilbur soot rings in your quiet home, unsure and nervous at your stern aura and words.
"why can't you just help us?!" tommy flared up, nearly throwing a fit if not for his older brother holding him back.
"just because i am your friend, does not mean i am interested in fighting for your conflicts." you place the book on the small side table, adjusting your gloves while you explain yourself to the two boys, "i'm not saying i'm a pacifist, but i'm not here to fight. i live far away for a reason. i told you this before."
"can i call in that favor then?" wilbur asked. "you still owe me one." you huffed at his words. you saw this coming.
"you're lucky i'm a nice person most of the time." you sighed, standing up and nearly towering over the two boys if not for wilbur being a bit taller than you. "i will get my stuff packed, and then we can get to your pogtopia. but while i do that, please explain the whole situation." since you lived so far away from society, you didn't know too much about what was happening unless wilbur told you about it and wilbur never really talked to you too often.
"well, you know how we had l'manburg.." and then he starts to explain how that completely backfired on them because they lost the election and now they lost their country. "and now we want to fight back for l'manburg." wilbur finishes explaining as you put your old netherite sword in its sheath that hung on your waist. "we just need your help. are you willing to train us?"
"it's not like i have much of a choice since you're cashing in that favor." you pointed out. "i better not be staying for too long."
"i can't make any promises about that." you sighed. "you ready?"
"unfortunately." it was time to leave your home and face violence once again.
"if it makes you feel any better, you're not the only person we've asked to help us." tommy says in an attempt to get you out of your bitter mood.
"that made me feel worse, tommy. i think you guys would've been fine without me if you have another person helping you other than tubbo." you slung your bag over your shoulder. "but if you really insist on getting the help of me, then who am i to judge?"
"since it seems like you're ready now, let's go to pogtopia!" tommy said, ignoring most of your words of complaints as he starts to drag you by the arm towards the dream smp. "it's quite the walk from here. why do you live so far from everyone? don't you get lonely? why didn't you join l'manburg with me and will?"
"slow down with the questions, tommy. first of all, i've told you and wilbur why i live far away, you did not listen though." you pressed a finger on his forehead, earning a huff of annoyance from the blonde. you moved your hand back to your side. "i simply do not like people. also why get pulled into conflict that you never were apart of to begin with? but that's pretty hypocritical of me to say now."
"i get that you're not fond of people, but aren't you lonely out here?" you three walked into the portal that would take you right into the nether. the sounds of bubbling lava and squealing pigmen was always an oddly comforting sound to hear.
"i'm perfectly content in my house. even if it's very far from others. i'm happy." you answered though your words sounded so... monotonous. tommy gave you a look, he definitely didn't believe you. "i know i don't sound happy but i am." before you knew it, you made it to the other nether portal which would actually take you to the manburg and pogtopia. oh how you didn't miss this place at all.
you never liked how manburg was ran even before shlatt was elected. you never really like government in general. it always seemed to be ruining everything. freedom never felt like freedom, at least that's what you thought especially when there was a goverment.
"welcome to pogtopia!" you were so deep in your own thoughts that you hadn't realized that you had made it to pogtopia.
"so where is your other helper? the first choice that wasn't me?" you asked.
"i think he might be here. he's been staying up for a long time. ever since he got in here." wilbur said. "technoblade? you here?" wilbur leads you to a potato farm and you soon feel a sense of familiarity as you enter the room.
"yeah." a low huff is heard, causing you and wilbur to turn your heads toward the source of the sound. "i'm here." what immediately catches your attention is the crown messily placed on his head as he farms. as a piglin, you've always been fond of gold, that adoration never left you once you went to the overworld. you never really wore a crown but you wore a gold pendant instead that was pinned to your cape.
"you have a really pretty crown." it takes you a minute to realize that those words came out of your mouth. "fuck, i didn't mean to say that out loud." you explained quickly to the male that was farming. "piglin things." you muttered.
"a very unexpected compliment. understandable." techno said. "wilbur, who is this again? have i met them?"
"well, you'd think you know each other since you're both piglins, but i guess the world is bigger than i thought. well, technoblade, meet y/n, y/n, meet technoblade."
"i call him the blade." tommy said smugly. "the blade! how's the potato planting doing?"
"it's doing fine. i didn't expect any company to come though."
"well, this is the person that we wanted to recruit for pogtopia."
"nice to meet you, even if the circumstances aren't the best. wilbur is lucky i owe him a favor." you said. "i sort of expected meeting you since tommy and wilbur mentioned you once they came to get me. i just never expected to see another piglin here in the overworld."
"never expected to see another piglin here either." techno hummed slightly.
maybe staying in pogtopia won't be too bad. at least you made a friend?
Tumblr media
that was sort of a lie. you and techno never really talked after the encounter. it never worried you, you’re not one for conversation right now anyways. you had a mission to do and you’re gonna do it. you didn’t have time to make friends, at least that’s what you thought. friends seemed to be temporary in the smp, considering the wars that were and have happened.
you weren’t going to make another friend, knowing that you just might get pulled into their fights.
“why did you stop fighting once you left l’manburg?” wilbur’s voice rings in the small fighting pit that was made for training.
“i simply didn’t find the need to fight. it doesn’t mean i’m any weaker though. i will still fight for what i want to fight for.” and that’s gonna be really ending this whole government. you think to yourself, letting the nighttime ambience fill the air.
“you still have your lives...right?” you show him your wrist which had 3 hearts tattooed on it.
“i’ve been living away from everyone, of course i won’t die that easily.” you let out an empty laugh. “bold of you to assume i would even die.”
“i know it’s ridiculous to even think that you would lose a life after you left l’manburg but what if dream were to chase you down and kill you?”
“i understand your worry, but need not to worry, i can handle myself. if i couldn’t you guys would never even assign me as cavalry captain those years ago.” you said, unbuttoning your gold pendant to place it on the stone cold floor along with your other accessories you had. “it’s not like dream can do too much to me. we made a deal after all.”
“a deal?” wilbur raised an eyebrow as he took off his jacket, tossing it on the ground.
“don’t be too concerned. i’m not like eret. i wouldn’t betray you.”

Hermit DSMP Swap AU
I had an idea for an AU. What if the members of Hermitcraft and the members of the DSMP mysteriously started swapping places. I used a random generator to decide who would swap with who and in what order (there was some fudging of numbers for the more inactive members of the DSMP so that they would not get swapped first, for the sake of a more interesting story). Timeline wise this takes place right after the switch to Hermitcraft season 8. I was partially inspired by redorich’s Hermit Canyon AU and their other Hermitcraft Dream SMP cross over AUs. Their writing is really good and you should defiantly go check them out.
---
No one noticed when George went missing. After all, he always missed the important events. George noticed though, it is hard not to notice when one wakes up in the middle of nowhere next to an unfamiliar bed... though that was happening more and more lately. What he found more disconcerting than the strange bed was the fact that nothing looked familiar whatsoever. Floating islands and looming savanna cliffs rose up around him. There was a small farm near the bed.
He moved to glance over the cliff's edge and his head spun. He was thousands of feet up, waterfalls cascading down to meet dark water below. He backed away from the edge and turned back to the hills behind him. “This is odd,” he muttered.
In addition to the small farms on the level where George stood there was also what appeared to be a small house and walkway built into the cliff higher up. After several minutes of searching around the base of the cliff for a way up George found a partially concealed, only in so far as it was built into the cliffside, bubble elevator. He went up. For just a walkway it looked really nice, it reminded him of stuff Sam or Foolish built, though even they didn’t bother with adding this much detail to the in between spaces like this.
A man in a green shirt rounded a corner, exiting from the unfinished room dug out of the side of the mountain. He looked up and stopped short, doing a double take he tapped the optic device over his left eye as he checked chat for a join message or any chatter about a guest. None.
“Sorry, you startled me,” he chuckled nervously, “Are you new? I’m Iskall,” He said, tucking his pickax under his arm and reaching out his hand.
George blinked then shook Iskall’s hand. The other man’s grip was strong, was he a fighter like Sapnap? “I’m George,” George shrugged.
“Nice to meet you, want a tour?”
“I guess, why not.” George shrugged again.
“It’s not much yet but-” Iskall continued leading George inside to show him around.
---
Etho was not sure what was happening. He went to bed in his bed on the mountain and when he woke up he was somewhere very different. Yes, it was still a bed sitting out in the open but this open was unfamiliar. Had someone moved him in his sleep? The server was rather new; there were plenty of places that he was unfamiliar with. He glanced around. There was a decently large wheat field that was only half harvested, as if someone had come through and taken half of it but never replanted. A couple of lamma’s were tied to a fence post. Several unrepaired creeper holes pocked the landscape, and a billboard with a peeling poster hanging from it stood nearby.
Etho’s brow furrowed. He spotted a path not too far off and decided to follow it. It was quite a nice path, lined with cake and flowers. At one point there was a stack of tiered cake taller than himself. Further down the path was a little gray house surrounded by roses. A very nice starter base.
The path itself ended at a nether portal on a hill. The landscape around it had been terraformed with nether blocks and a rainbow hung over it. But even here patches of the nice tiling were repaired with dirt, tiles were turned over misplaced or just missing entirely. More peeling posters were displayed on billboards, this one seemed to be of some kind of boy band with a guy in a dramatically purple and teal hoodie in the center, but his face had been torn away.
The builds here might seem small and early game but there were too many signs of a world with a history, this was not a brand new world, this was not Hermitcraft. Perhaps it would be best if he kept a low profile till he got a better idea where he was and who lived here.

Dream SMP Recap (May 31/2021) - Deck of Cards With a Green Smile on Them
Wilbur and Tommy visit Las Nevadas to have some words with Quackity.
---
VOD LINKS:
Punz
Ponk
Foolish
Tommyinnit
Wilbur Soot
Captain Puffy
---
- Punz mines out an entire chunk of the server
- Wilbur and Tommy meet at L’manhole. Tommy brings Wilbur to the quarry and shows him the Tommyboxes full of stone
- Tommy and Wilbur walk down the Prime Path and Wilbur notices all the new changes in the builds, including that Purpled’s UFO has been destroyed. Wilbur claims that someone’s being “a copycat” with TNT, figuring out exactly how it was destroyed
(Wilbur is also repeatedly puzzled by the appearance of Oogway throughout the server)
- Wilbur tells Tommy that he received a book: “PROJECT NEVADAS.” It rings a bell, and Tommy says it’s Quackity’s new place that he’s been staying out of
- Wilbur tells Tommy that the book says to come to Nevadas (not saying what it actually reads), and Tommy leads Wilbur there
- The last time Wilbur saw Quackity, they were fighting together for L’manburg -- but he gets the impression, judging by everyone else aside from Jack Manifold, Tommy and Phil, that everyone probably dislikes him. He assumes Quackity won’t have the best impression of him
- Tommy’s never been to Las Nevadas, but the person who told him about it said it was just a little town. They’re awestruck by it as they arrive
- Quackity comes up to meet them, surprised to see Wilbur alive. Tommy asks what happened to his face, but also notices that his piss neck is gone
- Wilbur says he’s glad to see Quackity out of the presidential outfit, and he never thought Quackity was fit for the Vice President role anyway. Quackity tells them that he owns this entire place
Wilbur: “Oh, so you’re -- you’re like a -- a President, then!”
Quackity: “I’m the President, man!”
Wilbur: “...You’re the President.”
- He shows Quackity the book and accepts Quackity’s “invitation” to work alongside him. Tommy asks to move in as well
Quackity: “Wilbur...That was not an invitation, I’m sorry Wilbur...That’s not an invitation. Wilbur, my nation will not be subject to your unpredictability.”
- Wilbur tells Quackity that while he may have been unpredictable in the past, he’s turned over a new leaf and doesn’t lie anymore, he’s forgotten everything he knew about TNT
Wilbur: “Quackity, look me in the eyes...I am your servant. I am at your service, I have run countries, I’ve won elections, I’ve done everything you would need in a leadership role, Quackity! Even not in leadership -- I can be, you know, assistant to the President! Just, I...Quackity, this is everything I’ve dreamt of in a solid marble and quartz...Quackity, you’re making a mistake, man, you need to let me in--”
Tommy: “Wil, this is so cool!”
Wilbur: “TOMMY, SHUT UP! I mean -- Tommy, come over here.”
- Quackity tells him he’s not going to let the same thing that happened to L’manburg happen to Las Nevadas. Tommy points out that it looks like they’re kissing.
- Wilbur walks around the sandy area asking what Quackity owns, and Quackity owns all of it. Quackity still means to discuss things with Tommy. Wilbur makes his way to the forest next to Las Nevadas
Wilbur: “What’s the point in capitalism without healthy competition?”
- Quackity asks what Wilbur’s about to do. Wilbur leads them over to a nearby spot and welcomes Tommy to their new “headquarters” as they “break ground” there.
- Tommy doesn’t want to start a new country, preferring Las Nevadas. He also repeats that Wilbur and Quackity looked like they were kissing and he feels like he’s getting third-wheeled
- Quackity and Tommy talk one-on-one and Quackity reminds Tommy about how they spoke about the hotel and possibly working together. Tommy brings up Quackity’s eye again, remembering how Quackity has had many “conditions” for a long time
Quackity: “You ever hear about the Butcher Army, Tommy? One day, we were going to execute Technoblade, and we got in a...we got a fight. And this is how this thing showed up on my face.”
- Tommy is surprised that he went to kill Technoblade and asks when this was, if this was during his exile
Tommy: “You’re meaning to tell me that you put in all of the effort to kill Techno instead of helping me?”
- Quackity says he’d be happy to sit down and discuss it, that he’s not Tommy’s enemy. He gives Tommy the choice: Tommy is welcome to join him, even if Wilbur isn’t. He can offer Tommy a management position, a job
- Tommy goes to speak with Wilbur and leaves Quackity, noticing what Wilbur’s built
Wilbur: “It’s a penis of safety!”
- Wilbur asks Tommy to work with him. He won’t stop Tommy, but Tommy is all Wilbur’s got. Jack Manifold’s busy and Phil has ideas about authoritarianism Wilbur disagrees with
Wilbur: “Tommy, I don’t want to make a country. I’m past that, man. I want to make an HQ. I want to make a place where we can be safe for once. Tommy, it’s been so long since we’ve been safe. And man, you deserve it. You’ve been through so much, done so much. Tommy, you’ve changed the world, and all you have to show for it is some scars and some trauma. Tommy, you deserve this safety and this sanctuary, and that’s what I want to make with you, and you won’t get it over there. You know what they say about casinos? It’s all lights and it’s all plastic, it’s all glitter, that there’s nothing of substance. Do you know what has substance, Tommy? Family. Blood. Please stay with me, Tommy.”
- He tells Tommy he needs to make a choice now.
Wilbur: “I’m not gonna hold you back. If you pick Las Nevadas, what am I gonna do, man? What am I gonna do? I’d never hurt you. I’d never want anything bad for you, Tommy. You can go with whatever you want, but...Just know what you’ll be doing to me. That’s all I wanna say, man.”
Tommy: “There was a time when you weren’t here on this server, this SMP, when I went against...put a lot of things to the side that I shouldn’t have. I prioritized a lot of things -- I put revenge over humanity, humaneness. I guess all I’m seeking now is just someone that’s gonna be honest with me and a place that I can feel safe. I...I betrayed Technoblade, and I just couldn’t admit it. And I did the wrong thing with Tubbo, but...”
Wilbur: “This can be a safe place for them.”
- Tommy agrees to stay here, but dislikes that Wilbur has built the penis into a wall. The two start building a penis in the lake and Quackity comes over.
Quackity: “History repeats itself, Tommy. You’re just letting this guy use you. You’re letting him emotionally manipulate you.”
- He and Wilbur start talking over each other, bickering
Quackity: “WHO DESTROYED L’MANBURG, TOMMY? THINK ABOUT THAT. THINK ABOUT THAT FOR A SECOND.”
Wilbur: “WHO RAN AGAINST YOU? WHO LAUGHED AS WE WERE EXILED? WHO CHEERED AS WE WERE THROWN OUT OF OUR NATION THAT WE BUILT? THAT WE BUILT?”
Quackity: “Who wanted a better outcome for L’manburg, Tommy? Who did? Who wanted to run a ‘democratic election’ with just one party? He’s right up there, Tommy! He’s right up there above you--”
Wilbur: “Remember the pit, Tommy. Remember what happened in the pit. Don’t. Trust. People. Who would’ve fought you in the pit.”
- They continue arguing.
- Tommy gets a chance to speak and says none of that made him feel safe. Quackity apologizes and offers them a tour of Las Nevadas. They head over and Wilbur apologizes as well
- Quackity shows them around, including the restaurant that they’ll need to hire people for (the villager is no longer there). Wilbur tells Tommy he’d be fine with Tommy working here as long as he’d still hang out with Wilbur too
- They start going to the casino (Wilbur and Quackity both hurry to block off the strip club) and Quackity brings them into the gambling hall, giving them diamonds to try out the machine with
- After using the diamonds, Tommy puts Linda the shovel into the machine and loses the shovel in the machine. Quackity takes them out of the building and to the top of the Needle. Tommy remarks that it would be a good place to jump off of
- Quackity turns to Wilbur and asks how he’s alive. Wilbur explains that he was swapped with Ghostbur
- Quackity remembers the last conversation he and Wilbur had together, just after the elections. The conversation they had after the debates. (Wilbur looks at the “PROJECT NEVADAS” book again)
Quackity wants to “pick Wilbur’s brain” again
- Wilbur’s lost everything. He’s lost decades, he’s lost most of the people who cared about him and many don’t even know he’s back yet
Wilbur: “Life is paved with the mistakes you make, and it’s not about when you made the mistakes or what you did, it’s about how you can improve from them, and...I guess that’s what I’m trying to do.”
- Wilbur’s seen Jack Manifold, Phil, Ranboo, Tommy and now Quackity so far, but there are a lot of other people who he’d like to talk to and apologize to and thank them
- Tommy tells Quackity he doesn’t want to sit back and run a food stand. Wilbur gets things done. Quackity respects his decision, but this is something else, not another L’manburg
- Quackity asks Wilbur about the revival again, and Wilbur admits that it was Dream who brought him back. Wilbur has many people he wants to thank and say sorry to, and Dream is one of them, as he saved Wilbur’s life. Dream is his hero.
- Quackity asks when this happened, and Wilbur says it’s been a while since, that hopefully Ghostbur isn’t too lonely in Limbo
Quackity: [About Dream] “He’s not been lonely. Wilbur, Wilbur, I think his loneliness is the last of his concerns. I’ve been keeping him company, uh...as he’s been there. I’ve been visiting him quite frequently.”
Wilbur: “What, Dream or Ghostbur? I’m talking about Ghostbur.”
Quackity: “I’m talking about Dream.”
Wilbur: “Oh, gosh! You’ve been visiting him? Oh, he must love that!”
Quackity: “Yeah, no, he likes the company. He likes the company for sure. Uh...it’s a cool little thing, uh...Tommy, you know about this, right?”
Tommy: “Yeah, yeah, Wilbur -- that’s how I got to go and see Dream."
- Tommy tells Wilbur that Dream killed him, to which Quackity says Sam’s bettered the security system (Wilbur’s surprised to hear the prison has a warden and a system to visit)
Tommy: “Why would anyone want to go to the prison? You’ve been going, Big Q, to torture the shit out of him, I’ve heard...”
Quackity: “Tommy, what? Tommy...Tommy, where did you -- where did you get that from? What are you talking about?”
Tommy: “Well that’s how -- I assumed, ‘cause of the scar, you’ve been going to beat the shit out of him?”
Quackity: “Tommy, Tommy, Tommy, don’t say that -- not even as a joke, Tommy, come on.”
- Wilbur says goodbye to Quackity (he has “work to do”) and leaves with Tommy. He’s overjoyed that he can meet Dream through the visitation system, while Tommy protests
- Wilbur throws Tommy the “PROJECT NEVADAS” book, saying that Quackity was writing about the old Wilbur, that Tommy made the right choice in not joining him.
- Wilbur promises Tommy that going to visit Dream to thank him isn’t a bad decision. He wants to tie up loose ends. Dying is a big deal. This is like a funeral, saying goodbye
Wilbur: “Tommy, all I’m saying is, you know...what could go wrong in a prison?”
- Wilbur leaves.
- Tommy asks Quackity for an Ender Chest
- He listens to “Cat,” alone in the rain, on a small wooden bench by the lake.

gonna talk about quackity and las nevadas real quick— fair warning, this is not cohesive as i am rambling this from the top of my head, but i wanted to relay my thoughts on them because i just. love them so much.
also this basically turned into “what is quackity's character arc and why is the las nevadas crew important to quackity's arc”
all people mentioned are of their dsmp counterparts unless said otherwise /dsmp /rp
tw: mentions of torture, violence
quackity is not a character who is only rooted in maliciousness. i can acknowledge that he is, scarily, one of the best manipulators of the smp, but his intentions and the reason las nevadas was made are not rooted in maliciousness. before the election results, we know that wilbur and quackity had a discussion about peace and change in the smp. quackity's reason for running was because he wanted to be the one to bring a positive shift in the smp. he wanted to garner a sense of belongingness in the smp because he felt excluded by l'manberg. upon hearing this, wilbur slaps him with the real truth about the dsmp— it is not controlled by pacifism. it can never be controlled by pacifism. if quackity wanted to make an impact, he needed power, and to acquire power, he needed to be violent.
which is why he does the things he does right now. his torturing of dream, his manipulation of his friends, him creating a gambling ground in general— he does that all to contribute to his plans of being revered. the main question we can garner from all this is: what's his end goal? i've been pondering about this for months on end now, and i still can't pinpoint what he wants to do with his power once he acquires it. all we can conclude is that he still wants to impact the smp one way or another, and that he is immensely determined to execute his plan perfectly. a guess of mine is that he still genuinely wants to bring peace in this server, to create a conflict so loud that it ends all conflicts. but to be honest, i could also see his end goal being less of “make the smp better” and more of a “let me guarantee the safety of myself and my loved ones” because at the beginning, we knew las nevadas was supposed to be made for him and the rest of el rapids, but we all know what happened. so now, he has different people in his crew that might substitute el rapids as other potential family he can care about? who knows! i do think it has to be related to the concept of belongingness somehow, because that theme is prevalent in both possibilities. also, something something, the plan's perfect execution may also become his legacy, something something. you get the idea.
which is actually funny because i remember that cc!quackity himself has expressed his own purpose in life in his alt streams, and it's quite the opposite of his own character's. he's stated numerous times that he intends to just… enjoy life. he was gifted one life to spent, and he'll just have fun with it. do what makes him happy. no legacies, no everlasting impacts on society— just his own happiness and wellbeing. and to me, i think cc!quackity is trying to make this ideology something his character eventually acquires in the future. the state of the dream smp shouldn't fall into the hands of quackity. it was never his responsibility to fix in the first place. he could have just left, he could have just enjoyed his life, but quackity seems so fixated in the idea of a possible shift in the smp. he wants to make as much noise as possible.
which is also funny because like, he doesn't have to! and interestingly enough, charlie mentions it. charlie has been continuously mentioning that everyone turns into dust anyway. charlie has seen lots of violent events throughout history, but he always seems to suggest that it's pointless because again, we all turn to dust. that belief is such a foil to quackity's belief of leaving a stamp on the smp because charlie suggests that it does not matter. quackity can make as much noise as possible yet still turn into the same kind of dust that silent people will turn into as well. it does not. matter. he should not be this fixated on his legacy and impact when it's not only going to be potentially meaningless, but it has also been hurting many other people as well.
but how will he eventually learn to believe in this ideology?
well, knowing that charlie was the first one to bring it up, i fully believe the las nevadas crew will be responsible for quackity's potential healing arc. las nevadas' crew is interesting because it feels like an anti-found-family family that fits in perfectly with actual found families. they were definitely manipulated into thinking joining las nevadas was a life or death situation, but what's interesting is that the same dreadful aura from las nevadas' third episode does not… continue on for the rest of the las nevadas streams? quite frankly, their streams have been pretty pleasant. of course, quackity still prioritizes his country over his people, but that doesn't mean he does not care about them at all. the fact that he's willing to recruit them and possibly share the legacy once his plans go smoothly shows that he does care about them to an extent.
but even if quackity manipulated them into joining, the crew has not been controlled by quackity in any other way afterwards. in fact, it seems like these people have been actually finding something purposeful and fulfilling from their stay there. like, fundy, foolish, charlie, and purpled genuinely seem like they're enjoying their time with one another. they don't degrade each other, they don't infantilize or hurt or insult each other; they actually seem like they enjoy each other's presence. sure, quackity promised them a legacy, but they themselves have kind of found a bigger purpose outside of legacy in las nevadas: belongingness, togetherness.
and i want quackity to realize that. because we already know that cc!quackity's probably gonna apply his own life philosophy into his character, but there needs to be a reason as to why he gets to that point. at the moment, those who craved for legacies in las nevadas seems to be slowly just… enjoying their time there because of the people they meet. the people they begin caring for. i 100% bet that later on, these people will stop caring about their legacy and begin caring for las nevadas for the people there that gave them purpose outside of making as much noise as possible.
and i want quackity to be one of those people to lets go of the concept of legacies and impacts. i bet that las nevadas will experience hell back to back, but he will have his crew members to fight alongside him everyday. he thinks that they're there because he manipulated them enough, but he slowly realizes that that's not the case— maybe at a point where las nevadas is at its lowest, quackity tells them that they can leave, that this was not the las nevadas he promised them. quackity tells them that there's no way they can ever gain proper legacies from it, but to his surprise, the crew stays. not because they still think las nevadas can provide them a proper legacy, but because they found a better purpose from las nevadas outside of legacies and impacts— and to them, quackity brought them together, and they're thankful for it. quackity delivered this opportunity for them, and now, the rest of the crew is giving quackity his own opportunity to find his own purpose. not in las nevadas in particular, but in them. he does not need to change the entire state of the smp to gain a sense of belongingness like he wanted during the elections— he can just find it through them, and that should be enough for him.

Lore thoughts 2/6 “History with Eret and Eryn”
Ok in this post we’ll be looking over the lore streams by Eret and Eryn from February 6th. (I guess maybe these are more like ‘Lore Overview’ + thoughts XD)
Again we won’t go over every little thing that happened, just what main points and anything I find notable.
This was a pretty chill stream, nothing big, but some nice reminiscing and a few funny moments.
(note that I have not seen all of Eryn’s streams, but I think I am up to date on the most important parts.)
Eret and Eryn have arranged to meet for Eret to give Eryn a history of the smp lesson. Eret is out on a walk, and when they return Eryn is there waiting for them.
Eryn has sent a letter to Eret asking for said lesson, and after a weird first impression, Eret agrees. Eret wants to know first though for confirmation that Eryn is not going to be using this information for bad things though. Eryn says there’s not much he can give, but he’s heard Eret likes to collect rare things, so he’s brought some to give.
Eryn gives Eret a Warden’s keycard (where did he get this? did I just forget?) Eryn tells Eret not to open it though. Eret is very surprised, and asks Eryn how in the world he got this. Eryn just says “I have my ways. I wear a ninja costume for a reason.” Eret agrees to not question it, and they leave to the museum for the tour/lesson.
They starts where they begin, the castle.  Then they enter into the community house. They talk about how the smp is a great place, but also a not so great place. “Lot’s of people have died here” They talk about how Eret is one of the few that has never died though.
Eryn then brings up that he has been collecting taxes in his time here, and thought it best to give to the king. The tax book has signatures from Las Nevadas, Snowchester, Kinoko, Wilbur?, Badboyhalo, Tommy, and the CatMaidCo. Eret says they are liking Eryn more and more.
So Eret resumes the tour, starting by telling the tale of the Community house, how it has been destroyed many times. Then they go to Church Prime. The bell is missing, and Eret says they’ll have to find a replacement.
They talk a little about how Tubbo’s original house was burnt down in the L’manburg days, and how it was because Tubbo was on the L’manburg side, and Eryn asks what side Eret was on. Awkward moment, Eret then decides to explain that they Were on the L’manburg side.
After passing by the ice cream store, they make it to the Museum. Eret explains a few things, the original community house, the Camarvan, the walls.
Eryn makes a comment that the Dsmp asking them not to make drugs seems like a pretty reasonable request....
While looking at the maps Eryn asks what the red stuff is, and so Eret starts explaining the Egg. Eryn says “I punched that one time. It hurt me” Eret than asks if that's what is going on with Eryn’s arm, and Eryn says “unrelated but I feel like it might start becoming related.” (So no, but based on some other things we’ve seen there is a possibility that Eryn is involved with some egg lore.)
Eret then brings him over to the control rooms. And starts to tell their story:
“My whole story, was that I saw war as a bad thing. I wanted L’manburg to reintegrate into the smp. I wanted everyone to stop fighting, I wanted peace. The way I saw that, having built the walls and helped L’manburg so much, was to deliver a crushing blow to them, their military. In this room, I brought them all into here, pressed the button, and it opened several doors letting in the entire Dream smp army. We, they slaughtered the L’manburgians.”
Eryn asked if they were that bad. The L’maburgians had Tubbo, and Tommy...
Eret simply replies that “They were trapped so there was no way to escape. And, at the time, I thought it was never meant to be... But they, that only seemed to give them more strength. And so they fought back, and they built up again. Wilbur built his army, Wilbur built his force, they built everything I knew.... And then this happened.”
Eret brings them to the second Control room, where Wilbur pushed the button and it all went down. “In case you can’t tell by the signs, Wilbur went insane.” “Wilbur pushed the button, saying my line ‘It was never meant to be’, and just like that, L’manburg was blown up. They tried to rebuild one more time and then Dream came and finished them off. Everyone from L’manburg has spread their different ways now.”
Eret also shows a map of the smp before L’maburg was blown up, and explains his two towers. “I originally build those towers, because I wanted to intimidate L’manburg.”
They then exit the museum and go to the real life L’maburg, looking at how it’s changed. They go into the real control room. Eryn says how this is all really cool, but it’s also really sad. Eret says how “I’d like to say it’s genius, but I also feel really bad.”  They mention that well Eret did kill people, so of course you feel bad. Eret mentions that she’s also doing better with some of them, Tubbo, and things are getting better.
Eryn then brings up, not to be weird, but he may have been watching ‘The Saving Michael’ event, and snapped a few pictures for his newspaper. ( So Eryn is a tax collector and a news reporter XD)
They next go to Tommy’s house. Eret mentions they’ll make their way to the prison. and Eryn says he’s been in there. “I wouldn't say, well legally. but I mean.” (One of Eryn’s first streams he broke into the prison.) Eret asks if this was how he got the access key, and Eryn says that no, that was a different time.
Eryn then shows Eret the creepy Dream shrine room he made in Tommy’s house, and Eret is surprised. One of the signs says “he didn’t do anything wrong” Eret stops him and asks him if he actually believes any of this?
And Eryn says “Well ok ok, hear me out. I’m a bit of a prankster, and so, Tom went, Tom was like ‘I don’t have any purpose without Dream’, and I was like ‘Where’s Dream?’ and he was like ‘Well he’s in prison’ so I was like ok, well if we put Tom in prison then now he’s with Dream. Then, you know, he’ll have, you know, he’ll have a purpose again. But you know it didn’t work.”
Eryn kinda laughing now, also mentions that he was the one that stole the Prime bell, and that it’s right here as part of his shrine. and That well, he was just trying to get Tommy in the prison. Eret asks again why, why would he want Tommy in the prison. And just to clarify, Eryn doesn’t believe in this sign that Dream didn’t do anything wrong right? Eryn responds that “well, I don’t really, I don’t really know they guy. He’s, he’s chill. He hasn’t done anything wrong to me you know?” (Eryn is not doing well at gaining friends XD) He continues, “You know actually wait, look, look what he gave me” He pulls out a totem. (So Dream has given a totem to both Eryn and Skeppy now... hmmmm) “He gave me one of these. So I mean, umm.”
Eret stops him once again, but just doesn’t have the words. Eryn continues “I mean, I don’t think, I don’t want to make any presumptions, but he hasn’t done anything bad to me, so how can he be, how can I say he’s a bad guy?”
Eret seems a little flabbergasted, laughs “Dream is, literally the villain of the entire server.... I’m not sure if I trust you as much any more. You given me no reason to trust you, I’m not sure where you stand Eryn.”
Eryn tries to defend himself by saying he doesn’t know, and that this is Eret educating him. Eret still just doesn’t know what to say. “Eryn you give me many reason to like you, and then you give me many red flags. I’m not sure how to feel about you.”
They exit the shrine room and Tommy’s house, and continue making their way towards the prison.
Eryn says that “All I’m trying to do, is get people to recognize me, everyone just seems to shun me you know? I’m like the new guy, and everyone’s like ‘Hey, well, you didn’t tell us where Dream went after he broke out of the prison’ and I’m like ‘well I didn’t even know Dream was a bad guy.’ you know. And I just want people to ya know, hang out with me and stuff.”
Eret then has an idea, to take Eryn somewhere, something to prove to Eryn that Dream is a bad guy. “So Tommy, has had a long history with Dream. And I think there’s something I can show you, that will prove that Dream is not a good guy. So Dream was imprisoned in this prison, for almost a year, almost an entire year behind these prison’s walls.” “I’m going to take you to where Dream, put Tommy in exile. for a long time. No one could meet up with Tommy.”
So Eret starts bringing him to the exile area. Along the way Eryn also asks who Quackity is. Eret tell him, and Eryn says “oh, I think I killed his horse once.” Eret says once again that Eryn has lots of red flags. They also talk about Sapnap, and how Eryn killed Sapnap (non cannon) and that Sapnap tried to kill Michael. So Eret says that ok maybe that's one good point to Eryn.
They make it to the island. “I don’t know too much about what happened here myself, I just know what this place is.”  The look around, see the old Christmas tree, walk towards the crater. “This was Logsteinshire. It was where Tommy was put in exile by Dream. I think Tubbo actually put him in exile, but Tubbo was under Dream’s manipulation at the time.” Eryn asks why didn’t Tubbo just not exile him? And Eret explains that through lots of manipulation, lots of pressure, threatening L’manburg.
They pass by the blue, by Mexican Dream’s grave. They talk about the tower, Eryn doesn’t quite understand it, thinks Tommy was just doing a cool clutch, but Eret tries to explain the true meaning. They approach the beach party area, and Eret explains how Dream lied and manipulated Tommy through the party. How Dream had control of the invites, told Tommy he invited people, and used no one coming to get Tommy on his side.
Eryn is very surprised by this, “I mean this Dream guy, did he have a reason to do all this?”
Eret says it’s a long story. “A story where Dream and Tommy were fighting over a couple of discs, ever since day 1 of the smp.” he explains because of their sentiment. It meant enough to fight back and forth for them. How this place was where Tommy was, and thought he was, alone for several months. And how no one knew where he was, and the one’s that did were told to stay away.
They then leave the exile area, entering into the nether. Eryn falls into the lava, and tells Eret not to be afraid, that he’s is part demon and so is ok. And that he likes to call Badboyhalo his dad. That they played chess, he killed Bad, and now he views Bad as a dad.
Next they go JSchlatt’s grave. Eret starts telling the story of Pogtopia. Of Dream’s influence there. Eryn says he’s heard bits that Schlatt is still around (glatt) and that Schlatt was like a mafia boss.
While looking over some of this stuff know that Eret does have a few wrong. There’s not really a way for c!Eret to have known them. Eret also still thinks Wilbur is dead.
So they make their way to Pogtopia. Eryn points out it means “People of God.” (religious Tommy :)   )  Eret then tells what they know of Pogtopia what happened there. We hear about Techno, the resistance, and Wilbur’s insanity. Eryn also asks if Eret has ever killed anyone, to which Eret says no, but they hired Techno to kill George. This leads to Eryn pointing out that Eret doesn't seem to like to get their hands dirty. In all these stories it was other people doing the killing for Eret.
They pass by Boomer Ville, where Vikk and Lazer lived, and Eryn asks where they are. Eret says she doesn’t know, they haven't been seen in a while (We know they are died. Dream’s experiments.) Eret says they should probably be concerned about the number of people that just seem to disappear, it is strange.
Next they go to the egg base, where Eret tells what they know of the egg. Eryn says that ‘oh Bad he reminded me of the egg. You know I felt a connection to it.’ Eret tells Eryn about the red banquet. How they wanted to kill Eret as the king, but Foolish stood up for her. That Foolish didn’t do it because Eret was the king, but for something deeper, that Eret is still trying to figure out.
Eryn says he thinks he better understand everything now, that ok Dream is a bad guy. Eret also mentions how people still view them as a bad guy, and they’re trying to earn people’s trust, but its hard, and that even the people they never betrayed are warry of them.
They enter into Dream’s old mountain base, and notice the bedrock. Eryn says whatever was here must have been important (The death note) and also mentions the “little flying Dream that gives people powers and things” (Dream XD) And that Eryn met Dream XD when hanging with Foolish, and that Xd gave him the power not to die.
(What have we learned? Eryn wants friends, he runs around trying to make friends with people, and keeps seeing everything. He keeps accidently doing bad things, getting involved in things, and scaring people away by saying he likes Dream.)
While going over the people he’s met and things he’s done, he brings up Sam. Which leads Eret to saying how they put Sam in the prison, and how yeah maybe they could go visit him soon. (Sam is dead now by this point I think...?) Eryn asks if Sam is a bad guy then, and Eret gives their opinion that yeah, he’s done some pretty bad stuff.
The last thing Eryn wants for Eret to do, is to make him a knight. Eret looks confused and lost for words like “You have so many red flags, I don’t want to.” Eret mentions that this came out of nowhere, and that he has given a out said red flags. Eryn shows off his powerful knight armor to try to convince her. Eret says that they ‘trust’ him, want to better trust him and hang out, but he cannot make him a knight yet. Eryn has to do more to prove his worth.
They part ways, and the lore is done.
One last thing Eret says “wow, I’m not sure what to think of Eryn. I am not sure what to think of him at all. He’s... gota, got a lot of red flags that guy, a lot of red flags. He’s given me the warden access book, he’s given me armor that is more powerful than the armor I currently wear. He’s interested in the smp, his mind seems to be in the right place, but, the number of red flags he gives off does leave me a little bit spooked. I think that if he’s able to prove himself, we’ll be able to work together, we will do stuff together. “
And so Tax duo was born :D
______________________________
Wow what an interesting Stream.
I gotta agree with Eret that Eryn is a strange character, I don’t know what's going on with him. He is a bit awkward in my opinion, in a good way :D He just seems to not be able to read the room, and says things pretty randomly.\ and out of no where. c!Eryn seems to be a bit of an over sharer, he did not need to tell us about all those red flags.
Skeppy and him have been given Totems by Dream, but why did Dream do this? Is he hoping to recruit them have them on his side?
I also enjoyed that Eryn explained some of the stuff he did, aka the Dream shrine, because some people didn’t know he did it, and thought Dream did. Dream only left the creepy disc.
Eret was wonderful, I always love c!Eret content. Eret not necessarily trying to defend their actions, not down play it, just telling the truth. Having to reminisce on your past mistakes, and help Eryn see how Dream is a bad guy. We also got some more insight about Eret’s pov and what they know of the history of the smp in regards to some things.
Overall a fun informative stream :)

A Day In The Life
requesred by this genius anon: “Aight imma hit you with a good one: Literally everything as platonic, but a day in the life of reader in high school with the minor gang (too my, tubbo, ranboo) and all the faculty at the school are dreamsmp members”
Platonic! Minors gang (tommy, tubbo, ranboo and purpled) x reader
trigger warnings: none
premise: a day in the life of a student at the DSMP public high school
{with all the shit that goes on the smp there's no way it could be anything but a public school}
{also if I do things slightly off or something its cause my high school is weird, we only have four blocks a day, but I think most have seven, so we’re going with that}
{also the dream/george thing, is based on two of the sciences teachers at my school being suspected of having an affiar}
{Full teacher list:
English: Mr. NotFound
Drama: Mr. Soot
Spanish: Mr. Dream (its mexican dream lol)
Gym: Coach Sapnap and Coach Punz
Home ec: Miss Nihachu
Music: Mr. Quackity
Chemistry: Mr. Halo}
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Home room: Mr. Callahan
You sighed, trudging toward the school entrance, god it was way to early for this.
The halls were already crowded with people heading to there home rooms, and Mr. Minecraft, the principal, was standing outside the admin offices, greeting everyone with a smile.
“Good morning, (y/n).”
“Good morning Mr. Minecraft.” You grumbled as you passed.
You hurried through the foyer and up the stairs, toward Mr. Callahan’s room.
“Hey!” Tubbo called, hurrying down the hallway, “(y/n)!”
“Hey Tubbo.” you yawned.
He fell into step with you, “You think Callahan will actually show today?”
The one good thing about your home room teacher is that none of the kids ever seemed to have seen him. It meant that some days, while other home rooms had lectures of bullying or something, your class got to hang out for 30 minutes.
“I don’t think he even exists.” Purpled said, falling in on your other side.
“He definitely doesn’t.” You agreed.
~~
History: Mr. Blade
“Hey (y/n)!” Ranboo called from his seat at the front of the room as you came in.
He was lucky enough to have moved homerooms and ended up getting the same room as his first block.
“Hello Ranboo.” you sighed, sitting down in your seat next to him.
Tommy came in and plopped down behind you, “Well you sound like shit.”
“No swearing in my classroom, Tommy.” Mr. Blade chided, hardly looking up from the book on his desk.
You turned to look at Tommy, “It’s too early for this.”
“You say that everyday!” He laughed.
“Yeah! Cause this class starts at 7:45 in the god damn morning!” You half exclaimed.
“Bloody hell you’d think you’d get used to it-”
“Tommy, what did I say about swearing?” Mr. Blade cut Tommy off.
“But you didn’t yell at (y/n)!” Tommy yelled, “That’s not fair Tech!”
Me. Blade glared at his brother, “Do you want me to send you down to Phil’s office Tommy?”
“I didn’t even do anything!”
After a moment under Mr. Blades glare, Tommy sighed, “Please don’t send me down to Phil.”
The teacher didn’t respond, instead standing up and moving to stand in front of the board, queuing up the intro slides for the day, “All right everyone, settle down. Today in our ‘tour of the ancient world’ or whatever, we’re going to start our mini unit on Greece.”
~~
Statistics/Math: Mr. Was Taken
After a class that ended mostly in a rant about the myth of Heracles, you said goodbye to Ranboo and Tommy and met up with Purpled to head to math.
Mr. Wastaken was already passing out the notes when you two got there, sliding into your seats at the back of the classroom just as the bell rang.
“You’re late.” He chided, dropping the papers onto your desk, then Purpleds.
“Purp needed to refill his water bottle.” You explained.
“Seriously?” Mr. Wastaken questioned, “Dude, it’s second block, why the hell was your water already empty?”
Purpled shrugged, “P.E?”
“Ehh, wrong, Sapnap doesn’t have you till sixth period.”
“Stairs... are murder man.” He fumbled.
You nodded, “First floor to the fourth floor is tough Mr. Wastaken.”
Rolling his eyes, the teacher moved back to the front of the room, “Alright, last nights homework was a bit of a flop so we’ll be more review for the quiz tomorrow.”
You groaned internally, pulling out your pencil.
Purpled nodded, “I fuckin hate review days.”
“I can hear you, you know!” Mr. WasTaken half yelled.
~~
Chemistry: Mr. Halo
After Math you and Purpled headed down to the science hall to meet back up with Tubbo to head to Chem.
“Welcome back everybody!” Mr. Halo greeted cheerily, “Good to see smiling faces for chemistry!”
How he managed to stay so upbeat, no one would ever know.
You sat down at your lab table with Tubbo, “You think we actually make it to doing the lab today before he starts talking about Mr. Skeppy again?”
“Oh no chance.”
You chuckled, pulling out your notebook as Mr. Halo pulled up the opening review before the lab.
Twenty minutes later found you elbow deep in the lab, quite literally.
“It was supposed to just be a small scale elephants toothpaste!” Mr. Halo cried.
Purpled grinned, “You should’ve taken my wildcard factor into account sir.”
You laughed, wiping the foam off your apron (thank god for lab aprons), “That was brilliant!”
A few minutes earlier, Tubbo had helped him do out the math to scale up the experiment by 20%, and you had willingly given up your own materials to help.
Now most of the classroom was covered in the foam, and Purpled and the girl who had been unfortunate enough to be partnered with him were knee deep in it.
“I sent the video to the groupchat.” Tubbo whispered.
“Good.” You chuckled again.
Mr. Halo groaned, “You three start cleaning this up, Elizabeth, dear, why don’t you join a different group.”
“I volunteer to switch with her!” Drista yelled, “they look like fun!”
Mr. Halo sighed, “No- no absolutely not- I can’t deal with you added to the mix.”
Drista pouted, the rest of the class went back to there work, and you, Tubbo and Purpled began to clean up the foam.
~~
Drama: Mr. Soot
As Purpled left for his history class, you and tubbo headed twoard the music/performing arts suit, where you met up with Ranboo.
“Tommy said he wished he could’ve been there to see the foam.” Ranboo reported as Tubbo peeled off into the band room, and you both continued on to the green room.
“Hello, Hello, Hello!” Mr. Soot greeted in an aussie accent (you know the one).
“Oh god please say were not doing accents today.” Ranboo muttered.
Mr. Soot laughed, “Nah, we’re going to do some more rounds of improv.”
“Oh thank god.” You said as you moved to take a seat at one of the side tables.
“That would have been hell.” Ranboo agreed.
More people poured into the room, take seats all around as Mr. Soot began to dig through on of the closets.
As the bell rang he let out a triumphant cheer, turning around and brandishing a very large bowl of paper slips, “I found the prompts!”
“Oh dear lord.” Ranboo muttered.
“Mr. Soot can we please do like, anything else?” You asked, “Like scenes, or hell I’d even take monologues, you know we’re all shit at improv!”
The teacher sighed, “I suppose we could do something else. I guess we can begin our next topic, you’re all going to be assigned scenes and given time to practice them, we’ll present on Friday!”
The entire class breathed a sigh of relief that you had managed to change his mind.
~~ English: Mr. NotFound
After a very chaotic lunch full of Tubbo retelling a bunch of jokes Mr. Quackity had told during music,  you trudged off to the one class that didn’t have any of your main group of friends in.
The one good thing about having Mr. NotFound as a teacher was that he had no clue what he was doing.
More often then not you would be left to do essays or read the required books, and then watch the movies that went along with them.
And, just your luck, your English block happened to take place during Mr. Wastaken’s prep period.
“Right, everyone, today’s a work day, finish up anything you need to for this class, or another, and I’ll put on a movie.” Mr. NotFound said as soon as everyone was seated.
Ten minutes into the movie the teacher had left, and you pulled up the group chat.
(y/n): Mr. NotFound has yet again suspiciously left during class.
Purp: sus
Purp: just went by WasTaken’s room
Purp: he’s not there
BooBoy: I saw him down in the science hall ten minutes ago
BeEs: Science hall is oposite to English isn’t it
(y/n): yeah it is
BooBoy: very sus
Purp: I swear their having an affair
BeEs: defintly a lesbian
BeEs: *leassion
BeEs: lesion
BeEs: le-a-zon
BeEs: you know what I mean!
BooBoy: take your time Tubbo
You chuckled quietly, putting your phone down to look back up at the movie on the screen.
~~
Spanish: Mr. Dream (its mexican dream lol)
“AYYYY kids!”
You groaned as your Spanish teacher burst into the room.
“What is with this guy?” Tommy muttered.
“ayy man not cool.” Mr. Dream said.
“Mr. Dream your ten minutes late!” Someone pointed out.
“SHut up man. And I told you just call me Mexican Dream!” The teacher said.
You frowned, “That doesn’t make sense, theres no way your first name is ‘mexican’.”
“Well its not,” He explained, “But its cause I’m the Mexican version of that math teacher!”
“Why couldn’t I have taken French like Boo and Purp?” Tommy asked the ceiling quietly.
~~ Home ec: Miss Nihachu
The last block of the day was always the best, but not just because school would be over soon.
There were three main reasons why everyone agreed it was the best.
1. Miss Nihachu was the nicest teacher in school
2. baking was done often, and everyone always got to take some home
3. it was the one class you, Tommy, Tubbo, Ranboo and Purpled all had together.
Soon your found yourself crowded into one of the tiny kitchen areas with all your friends, as Miss Nihachu gave instructions.
“Now, if you make a mess you will be cleaning it up! I’m looking at your kitchen a!” She said, half threateningly.
Ranboo pushed away from the group, “I’m not with them I swear!”
Miss Nihachu rolled her eyes playfully, “Sure your not.”
Surprisingly, a mess was not fully made.
Somehow between Tommy wanting to taste the cookie dough at every step from butter to flour, Tubbo trying to add as many chocolate chips as he could, and Purpled all but refusing to move from where he was sitting on the counter, you and Ranboo managed to get the cookies into the oven with no real disasters.
As you wiped down the empty counter space you sighed, “That wasn’t too bad.”
“Yeah.” Tubbo agreed.
Tommy only nodded, still eating the large glob of cookie dough he’d stolen.
Ten minutes before the bell rang and when everyone was supposed to be finishing cleaning up you sniffed the air suspiciously, “Why do I smell burning?”
Tubbo took a deep breath, “I smell it too.”
“Oh yeah, something is definitly burning.” Ranboo agreed.
You whirled to face Purpled, who was absently scrolling through his phone, “Purp you did set a timer right?”

I ANALYZED ALL OF THE NEW SONGS ON RANBOO'S LORE PLAYLIST - HERE'S WHAT I FOUND
Back in March, I listened to every single song on Ranboo's DMCA Lore Playlist. I came up with a solid theory, published my evidence and that was that. My work was done.
But nope! Ranboo's back and he's deleted a ton of songs and added more. And so I listened. Again. And I'm back with a theory, and it does not look good.
This new batch of songs shows us that this is a new era of c!Ranboo. Redesign Your Logo is meant to tell us that things are changing, and so is c!Ranboo. This could be do to the fact that something bad is most likely going to happen to c!Ranboo in the near future, probably the taking of his first canon life. Songs like Eyewishes and Goodbye heavily point to the ending of a chapter (or life) of c!Ranboo. The song Blue Monday isn’t anything revolutionary, as we were already well aware of the toxic relationship between c!Ranboo and c!Dream. Another thing to point out is that Everybody Wants To Rule The World sets up an interesting take on nuclear weapons, a thing that c!Tubbo has and c!Ranboo doesn’t know exists. If c!Ranboo were to find out about the nukes, it could lead to the two fighting over whether or not they were a good thing. Going into Time Moves Slow, the narrator there discusses a relationship that just ended between them and their lover, meaning there could be a c!Beeduo divorce arc in the near future.
Below are the analyses on each individual song and the added and deleted songs
Deleted: Prologue (StarKid), Introduction to the Snow (Miracle Musical), Dream Sweet in Sea Major (Miracle Musical), Turn the Lights Off (Tally Hall), The Mind Electric (Miracle Musical), The Ruler of Everything (Tally Hall), Ain't No Rest for The Wicked (Cage the Elephant), The Bidding (Tally Hall), Stranded Lullaby (Miracle Musical), Hidden in the San (Tally Hall), & (Tally Hall), I'm Gonna Win (Rob Cantor).
Added: Redesign Your Logo (Lemon Demon), Everybody Wants to Rule the World (Tears for Fears), Blue Monday (New Order), Eyewishes (Lemon Demon), Bystanding (Lemon Demon), Goodbye (Bo Burnham), Time Moves Slow (BADBADNOTGOOD and Samuel T. Herring).
Redesign Your Logo (Lemon Demon) - This song is about a pdf that went around during 2009 about the Pepsi company logo. In it, the Arnell group is trying to sell Pepsi a new logo, so that they can make tons of money. I feel that this song symbolizes evolution and growth, we’re entering a new era of c!Ranboo. He’s redesigned and rebranded. This song could also be on this playlist because of a fan animation on youtube set to the same song by Shyshui.
Everybody Wants To Rule The World (Tears for Fears) - This song was written about the Cold War between The Soviet Union and The United States that happened during the 20th Century. The main line of the song ‘Everybody Wants to Rule the World’ is about how everyone wants power, and the misery that it brings with it. This is a theme we can see clearly on the DreamSMP, with many leaders such as c!Eret, c!George, c!Bad, c!Wilbur, and c!Dream all leading lives of misery in one way or another. This is also important for c!Ranboo, as he is the most powerful man on the server. It tells us that his power will soon be his misery. Also a small little thing I’d like to point out is the line ‘Say that you’ll never, never, never, never need it’ which is meant to be about the use of nuclear devices during that time period. Many governments had them but claimed they would only use them if another country was launching a nuclear attack. This could translate to c!Tubbo owning nukes and c!Ranboo possibly finding out, which could cause discourse between the two.
Blue Monday (New Order) - Blue Monday is about the singer pondering the mistreatment of their person by someone they trusted. The person seems to be manipulative and toxic for the singer but the singer is too far under their control to leave them. Immediately we can tell that this song is most likely about the relationship between c!Ranboo and c!Dream. c!Dream uses c!Ranboo as his errand boy, making him do all sorts of tasks, although this hasn’t really happened since the Disc War Confrontation. However, we know the c!Dream still has some sort of hold over c!Ranboo because we saw c!Sapnap trigger an Enderwalk episode by giving c!Ranboo a message from c!Dream.
Eyewishes (Lemon Demon) - Eyewishes is a song about a distraught man who has no eyelashes, as he used them all on wishes, and now he can make no more wishes. The man pours out his frustrations and then resolves to committing suicide. While I don’t believe c!Ranboo would take his own life, I believe that he soon will die. The last line of this song is ‘So take care of my plants and pets and now I’ll say good-’. c!Ranboo has many pets in his care and he would want them taken care of after he dies. I could see him saying this line to a character like c!Tubbo. However, c!Ranboo is still on three canon lives and would not perma died if killed.
Bystanding (Lemon Demon) - Bystanding is the direct sequel to Eyewishes, starting off with bi, completing the phrase ‘goodbye’ started at the end of Eyewishes. Other than this, the song has no real points of interest as it’s just the singer repeating different words, working his way up from 2 to 5.
Goodbye (Bo Burnham) - I’m going to split this song up into two sections, just because I think there’s a lot to cover here. Let’s start pre-bridge. For context, Goodbye is the final track from the comedy-musical special Inside, done by Bo Burnham. Bo says the special was a long project for him as he filmed the entire thing in his house during COVID-19 Quarantine. The beginning part of this song talks a lot about how Bo doesn’t want the special to be over because now he has nothing else to do, and he’ll just have to live his life. This could translate into c!Ranboo losing a lot of things that he worked for, such as his valuables (totems and riches) and just being a normal person again. It could also signify an ending of a chapter for him, maybe his marriage ending, his partnership with the Syndicate ending. However, I believe that its most likely to be c!Ranboo’s neutrality ending. During the recent lore stream he did with c!Wilbur, we finally saw c!Ranboo pick a side. He chose Wilburger over Las Nevadas, losing his trademark neutral stance. c!Ranboo thought his neutrality made him more than others, that he was the one able to see over the conflict, but now he’s just like everyone else. He has a side and an enemy. Let’s move into the bridge and ending of the song now. The first line I’d like to call specifically is ‘Wanna guess the ending, if it ever does.’ This line could maybe signify the fact that throughout the history of the SMP there have been many times that the conflict and story feel like they’ve finally come to a close, only for everything to start up once again. The next lyric is ‘If I wake up in a house that’s full of smoke, I’ll panic, so call me up and tell me a joke.’ This is a callback to another song on Inside, Comedy, in which Bo talks about using his comedy as a way to help people, but really it was he who needed help. c!Ranboo acts as a protector for a lot of characters, most notable c!Tubbo and tried hard to please most people and aid as many as he can, but most of the time he’s the one needed the most help. Similar to Bo, c!Ranboo doesn’t realize he needs help until it’s too late.
Time Moves Slow (BADBADNOTGOOD and Samuel T. Herring) - This song is about a person who’s lover has left them, and although it’s painful they know its for the better. This could, unfortunately, suggest a c!beeduo split but there is another part of this song that I’d like to touch on. ‘Running away is easy, its the living that’s hard.’ This is the chorus for the song and it talks about how running from your problems is easier than facing them but having to live without them is hard. Throughout the story, we often see c!Ranboo ignore his problems, most recently with the vandalism of c!Tubbo’s cookie shop. c!Ranboo found it and decided to fix it and tell no one it happened, which lead to a hostile confrontation between c!Quackity and c!Tubbo.

The Quackity Meta: Justice without the Blindfold
Tumblr media
[Anonymous asks: (DSMP) Somebody talk to me about Quackity and Eret’s character. I wanna talk about what Quackity’s views on power are with what he’s planning to do with Sam along with whatever he saw in the egg. I wanna talk about why Eret thinks reviving Wilbur is the best option for the sever to lead and their views on what a leader should be with them being the king of the Dream SMP. I wanna talk about Quackity planning to create a casino for the server to rise to the top. What does it mean to be king?]
[/rp. All mentions of dream smp members should be assumed as referencing the character, not the cc, unless specifically stated otherwise.]
At the heart of every conflict, if you look closely enough, you will find a similarity. Two contrasting ideals will reveal their own likeness, in the stage they play out their war – they both fight for the same result; to be known and followed and asserted, and in this they are the same. There would be no conflict if both sides shared nothing in common.
Lets talk about Quackity.
We'll gloss over a good deal of Quackity's history to get to the meat of this discussion, which involves Technoblade. But there are a a few lesser known facts about Quackity's early days on the server that are relevant to the discussion, like  that Quackity joined the server because of Tommy.
Namely, he joined for The Cartel, a short-lived organization comprised of him, Tommy, Tubbo and Jack Manifold, and their aims of obtaining power over the entire server by getting a monopoly on one object, the Phantom Membrane.
(Trivia: This is why Technoblade had to strike a deal with Tommy for the membranes – Phantoms are turned off on the Dream SMP now, so their monopoly actually ended up working. (Un)fortunately, Tommy traded nearly his whole supply for the priceless act of... making Techno scream really loud and talk in a funny voice. Worth it.)
However, Tommy's interest in the Cartel waned almost immediately, to Quackity's frustration. Tommy was constantly busy with his Vice Presidential duties in L'manberg. Quackity wasn't entirely left out, and he helped Tommy on multiple occaisions, but this was back in Wilbur's L'manberg, where non-europeans were strictly banned.
Quackity would slowly come to resent Tommy for this over time. He joined the server to be with him, took his side in nearly every conflict, including the ones that were L'manberg-oriented, and yet he wasn't allowed to be a citizen of his friend's own nation.
The resentment would reach a boiling point when Quackity discovered Wilbur's bid to consolidate power by running a sham election – with a one party system. Quackity challenged him, formed Swag 2020, and the rest is history...
The takeaway here is that from the start, Quackity has been shunted aside by people in power – Tommy, Wilbur, and then later, Schlatt. This wouldn't prevent him from executing his own immoral power grabs, but that trait – the distaste for people with power holding it over him, is one that would stick around, and become even more prominent later... Quackity has more reason than most to hate tyranny.
But “Tyranny” Is a word thrown around on the SMP often enough, that it's probably up there with “betrayal” and “pop-off” in total wordcount. But few use it more commonly, or more persuasively, than Quackity and Technoblade.
This begs the question: what is Tyranny in a M/inec/raft role play, and why do Quackity and Technoblade both detest it so much while still hating each other?
Well, after a moderate amount of research, I have discovered the following:
Tyranny is complicated.
Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.
...No, but really. Tyranny is very old concept. The words originates in, you guessed it, Ancient Greece, but conceptually, the idea goes waaaay back.
Now, that last thing I wanna do is give anyone a history lesson. I'd suck at it and I haven't done that much research. But the takeaway here is that “Tyranny” has come to be defined in fairly vague terms. We'll look at a few different ones in reference to the SMP.
Oxford dictionary defines a Tyrant as: A cruel and oppressive ruler. / a person exercising power or control in a cruel, unreasonable, or arbitrary way. / (especially in ancient Greece) a ruler who seized power without legal right.
Lets look at the first and last definitions:  A cruel and oppressive ruler; (especially in ancient Greece) a ruler who seized power without legal right.
By these definitions, one could call Quackity tyrannical during his term as Tubbo's VP. He exercises the power granted to him as a government official to spearhead an operation to execute a man without trial. He violently invades the home of a citizen and then puts said man on house arrest, and to subdue the target of this operation he threatens a pet (-a vague but ostensibly severe criminal act in the terms of m/inec/raft specifically-) and then reveals to Techno that the reason he's doing this actually has nothing to do with the crime Techno was accused of, and it is instead a ploy to consolidate power.
Quackity is leveraging his position in the government to amass power, and using that power to harm individuals (Philza and Techno,) in process. As an added bonus, his position in that government came from usurping Schlatt, a legitimately elected official. Thus, Quackity is a Tyrant.
But there, in Schlatt's government is where things get complicated.
Quackity had some power in Schlatt's government. Not the same kind as he did in New L'manberg, but arguably a more unrestrained form – Quackity could basically do whatever he wanted, as long as it pleased Schlatt. In New L'manberg, Quackity needed to convince not only Tubbo, but the rest of the cabinet whenever he wanted to initiate a new project. New L'manberg, while still maintaining a ruling class, had a far more equal distribution of power than Manberg did. It was still democratic.
And while we're on the topic of Quackity as Schlatt's VP, Quackity had almost instant regret the day of the election. He was undermining Schlatt from the start, questioning him, trying to stop Tubbo from breaking the signs that read “if you break this sign, you hate your viewers” and freeing Niki when Schlatt trapped her in Jack Manifold's house and then whispering at her to run.
Quackity only fell into step with Schlatt in the aftermath of Election day, when he saw a major desire fulfilled; the tearing down of L'manberg's walls. These walls were a symbol of L'manberg's isolationist roots that prevented Quackity from joining in the first place. It was one of his biggest promises whilst campaigning.
From this point on, up until the festival, Quackity would be in support of Schlatt. The things he did try to push back on would be downplayed and ignored, if not scorned. This period of time is difficult to pick apart where Quackity's personal morals and ideals begin, and Schlatt's influence ends. The steadily worsening abusive dynamic between them doesn't help this vagueness, either.
I point this out because I've seen people conflate Quackity's abuse at the hands of Schlatt, and his willingness to participate in Schlatt's rule as being of the same root; implying that Quackity only followed Schlatt because he was in an abusive relationship with him, when the reality is far more complicated. Yes, their relationship was a major factor in Quackity's actions, but downplaying his ambition and willingness to accept Schlatt's Tyranny when it helped him realize his own goals does a disservice to the nuance of Manberg-era Quackity.
What all of this points to is an individual who has a strong, some might say defining sense of Justice, yet also a susceptibility to Temptation. Quackity’s experiences with disenfranchisement by Wilbur and Tommy, coupled with his Dark horse victory in the election paints him in a sympathetic, even heroic light. But the way he slowly relinquished more and more power to Schlatt, and ended up indulging in the fruits of tyrannical gains when they proved they could get him what he wanted.
...
So, back to the question... Is Quackity a tyrant?
The answer to that question is a solid “mmmmaaaybe??”
It comes back to what you consider Tyranny. Quackity has never held complete power – he has always, always been scrapping and struggling and fighting to get a foothold in the machinations of the truly powerful, like Dream and Wilbur. He's very much an underdog story.
On the other hand, the times that Quackity has held positions of power, he's done some questionable shit. People like to forget that, while he was deeply disturbed by it, he wasn't exactly against Tubbo's execution at the festival. Putting Phil on house arrest and executing Techno without trial also count against him.
Like most things on the SMP, it's just complicated. Quackity's motivations run deep and aren't always obvious. He doesn't seem to want to hurt people just for the sake of hurting them, or use his power in arbitrary ways, but when he can personally justify it, the sacrifice of his moral integrity gets severe sometimes.
What it looks like is that more than anything else, Quackity wants control, and to never, ever lose his own autonomy. That is also why he despises Technoblade.
...And here we are at the Technoblade part of this meta, AKA the MASSIVE BULK OF THIS ANALYSIS. Which you can read HERE, because it’s too long to fit in just this one post.

one thing that bothers me about mcyttwt and all of its subtwts (mostly bootwt i guess?) is that they are way too stuck in the past y'know. they will make fanart and tweets of some random idea a streamer talked about months ago as if it's still going to happen?? when it is just so clearly not?? they build their expectations up way too high and set themselves up for disappointment. which a lot of blame definitely falls onto the streamers for, both ranboo and wilbur having a history of talking about plans they have and then not really falling through with it but it's just so annoying because it's like? the majority of mcyttwt just seem to not know how to move on and it's so repetitive and exhausting. same with how overly obsessed everyone is with the dream smp characters (even MORE than the streamers themselves...) but that's a topic for another day. but yeah.. sorry for the rant, mcyttwt annoys me so much and i wish it would mature a little.
uhhhh yeah this is literally my entire attitude towards genloss like ITS NEVER GONNA HAPPEN QUIT TALKINT ABOUT IT but yeah like it's fine to reminisce about something once in a while but people need to accept that their faves are horrible at keeping promises and only deliver on like 2% of what they say they will
