You asked and you shall receive!!
Whb Kings Rut Headcannons
Cw: darker than I anticipated, breeding, biting (hard biting like drawing blood), mentions of cannibalism, yandere behavior, Demons becoming more primal in rut, especially asmodeus, free use, Dubcon/noncon
Tumblr media
Satan
If you didn't think he would get any more violent. You're dead wrong with all this extra testosterone coursing through his veins. All he wants to do is fight things. With a legion of loyal subordinates who also want to fight and destroy, Gehenna's streets become the purge; all their rage and stress are released at once.
And they like this! Starting brawls in the streets, clashing horns and gnashing their teeth as they wrestle each other with their bare hands. Demons are challenging Satan for his claim on you bonus points if they get beaten up in the process.
But Satan wants more. He wants to fight something and feel like he's in danger, with no weapons, guns, or flamethrowers, just him and his bare hands going against something much stronger than himself. He wants to prove his strength to you and take you after winning a brutal fight. To smear his blood and semen onto you, claiming you as his.
The other kings are the only ones who can equal his strength, either in magic or in muscle. His temper somehow becomes shorter as he is itching to jump across the table and fist-fight Mammon.
His subordinates fear their King will hurt you, but it's the opposite. He's so gentle and needy that he whines for your attention. Dragging his tongue across the nape of your neck and burying his face to smell your sweet scent. Spinning you down with all of his strength, wrapping a muscular arm around you before harshly grinding his hips into you to reach as deep as possible. Unless he becomes provoked... Then that's a whole other story. You won't be sitting right for weeks.
Mammon
You are his possession as much as he views himself as yours. And he takes great care of all of his possessions. But you seem not too keen about being his... It's not like it's your choice to make anymore. Humans are fickle and don't know what they truly want. He can give you everything. So why haven't you submitted to him yet? Mammon becomes more pushy with his advances. He may be a pacifist, but he knows how much stronger he is than you are and is not used to the word no.
Of course, Mammon will worship you like any other night when the two of you get frisky, but you notice that his touch becomes more and more rough, from gentle caresses to harsh, grabbing and handling you like a doll. He not only likes to take care of his possessions but also uses them to their fullest extent. A demon of greed is still a demon of greed, And you are his favorite toy by far. Part of him wants to display you for all to see. Another part of him wants to drag you off into his bedroom chambers for you never to be seen again.
Maybe he sees you more as an exotic pet or a commodity. No matter how much he tells you that you own him, all demons are slave to their instincts when rut season is here. With the deep urge to mark you He will not hold back to how many teeth marks and hickeys he'll put on your body.
Once he feels those squeezing velvet walls around his cock he will never let you go. His body will quickly overwhelm you as he loses himself to pleasure. He will dress you in the finest silk gold and jewels. Then soaks his cum all over it. He doesn't care The price will probably go up with his seed seeped into the fabric.
Leviathan
In Hades, Few nobles show how much their rut affects them because that usually means feeding into their king's jealousy. Especially when they just so happen to have the same rut as Leviathan's
During this time, no one looks or talks to you in his presence. Mammon thinks about locking you away forever. Leviathan would actually do it.
I think Rut Leviathan becomes borderline yandere as he becomes more open about how much he wants you. Murmuring scary thoughts out loud of how he wants to lock you in a nice cage, throw away the key. Or cut a little piece off to always have with him. Or threaten to kill people close to you. All the while, he's balls deep inside you with little care of how fast he's bucking his hips (very wholesome, very romantic 💞)
He is hanging on by a thread, and all it takes is seeing you with another for him to lose it. And once he does, He will fuck you without mercy, drill his hips with every ounce of his being until the two of you can't think of anything other than each other. If he has to break your mind with his dick, he will.
Needy and petty, willing to do anything to get just a sliver of that attention. The usually refined, elegant demon becomes nothing but a moaning, drooling beast. He will fill you up. You will be claimed.
Beelzebub
That ferocious sexual hunger is tripled. No matter how much you seem to satisfy and he just wants more more more more more. And keep in mind this man has clones, too. He will let go, and his clones will swarm you.
He bites; if it weren't for his other clones tending and touching you, distracting the sharp pain of his teeth and breaking your skin with pleasure, you would be screaming in pain. It's honestly a miracle how he didn't lose control and consume you. Only because he finds the taste of your juices even sweeter, once he's between your legs he is never coming back up. A hand vigorously stroking his cock as he tries to ring you out and suck you dry. Coke sing you to cum on his tongue again and again until you physically can't give anymore. And he'll still want more after that.
Having a more sensitive nose than any other demon in hell, He is drawn to you like a moth to a flame. He'll smell you from anywhere. No matter how far you are, he'll still find you. He'll bury his nose in the name of your neck and start rolling his tongue across your flesh and wanting just a taste of you—the taste of something he'll never have.
It's almost as if he loses control of his powers since his clones don't disappear after he finishes. They stay with you, tend to you, touch you, fuck you, suck you, Constantly until their rut ends and their control returns. His dick will not leave you not. Even if you leave to go to the bathroom, he'll jump on you as if he hasn't seen you in years. He'll even be inside you when you're trying to eat or drink water, just slow grinding as he promised you he'd give you a break. He's trying to hold back.
At the end of his rut, he'll get super hungry since he rarely eats during his rut because all he can think about is fucking you. His subordinates and His people worry that he might lose control and eat you, so food will always be provided at his convenience when in a rut.
Lucifer
Obsessive dangerously obsessive. His angel body is not used to the intense hormonal heat that is a demon rut. He was not expecting His rut to come so strong... It has to be because of your influence. He tries so hard to fight back but all he could think about is you.
He could barely control himself and his body around you as is now it seems like his rut is trying to get him to mate with you to claim, punish and worship you. It's like two sides of him are fighting with each other. To bully you till you scream and cry for him. Another part of him screams to to praise and take care of you.
He punishes and overwhelms you to the point you cry. All the while, he praises and worships those tears that fall down your cheeks. Kissing them away as he fucks you harder, muttering about how well you're taking him, and you look so divine like this, like you were made to be nothing else but a cock sleeve.
Lucifer has been getting the increasing desire to learn every little bit about you put you under a microscope and examine every little hair on your head. To memorize every little twitch in your body and squeal you make. To learn what reaction you make when he tilts the angle of his cock just a right inside you.
He may or may not have a secret binder filled with detailed facts about everything you do or about you in general. But he always goes back to during his rut either to fill out more or read to himself to.... Relieve stress. His rats would have been a lot worse if it weren't for this binder so you're welcome... I can't imagine what the other Kings will do to get their hands on this.
Belphegor
It's cold and you're so warm... Would you be a doll and be his little cock warmer? His toys are nothing like the real thing. Sadly he can't sleep and masturbate at the same time and his wet dreams just make him wake up wanting more so why don't you stay here for a while and be there so he could use you as he pleases.
In meetings? He's snug right inside you! You're trying to sleep? Well he just woke up any needs to start thrusting right now, He's laying down and reading? Now don't be shy start grinding...
The farther in his right cycle the more active he becomes no longer are you just warming his cock now he's starting to grind into you. Feeling your walls milk him murmuring how you're his favorite toy.
Belphegor in rut is very needy. You can't leave for a second without him trying to follow you in some way. He can't bear to part with that warm tight hold of yours. Every time you try to move away from him he whines and cries out in displeasure.
I wouldn't try pushing your luck if I were you. If you tease him anymore he'll just flip you over and go crazy. Fucking you back into submission showing you who's a really in charge of you. If you keep misbehaving he's going to have Beleth join in and trust me you don't want that. He's not as nice as Belphegor is.
Asmodeus
Losing all control, He is no longer a demon at this point now a feral beast wanting one thing. A Mate. Not just anyone though... No not just anyone will do, He wants you... He wants you in the most primal way, drill you into the soil the both of you howling and pleasure. And of course since it is the season to feel lust his power is significantly stronger to the point where if he were to escape all of hell would Make people have orgies in his path. For the safety of you and frankly everyone else
So, at the start of the demon rut season, They chain Asmodeus up and lock him deep underneath the Abaddon red prison. If you still want to visit him that's your death wish but the guards think perhaps maybe you can calm him down since his rut only had gotten worse since he came back to hell.
Asmodeus is now completely naked His form in the middle of his human form and beast form as he struggles to maintain control. His smile widens as you see. His nostrils flare at your scent as he books his hips, his cock with a swollen knot at the base.
However, if you didn't visit him... He would break out and find you... Hunt you down like a hungry animal. There is no high; there is no How are you? There's just chasing and breeding. He looks at you with wide, unblinking eyes, stalking closer, ready to pounce. A beast with a sadistic thrill of the chase so much so that he'd rather toy with his prey before taking you completely. He'd rather slowly make you known of his presence that he draws near and you better find an escape plan before he gets you.
You better pray that you are not out in hell alone at night. Any other time, he would love having the kings underneath him, but now His instinct screams that they will take you from him. He will fight them with his bare hands and prove to you that he's the better male and hopes you'll choose him, give your body to him, and let him mark you as his mate.

Drowned song 6
Tumblr media
Zoro stared up at the moon above, his horns and back resting against the wood of the crows nest. He heard the porthole to the men's bunk room open. The familiar scent of the new cook grated his nose, and he recognized the tobacco and sea scent. The blonde's scent was both enticing and dangerous, and zoro couldn't explain why. He peered over the edge of the crows nest, Sanji stood on the railing of the Merry in his swim trunks and a bag. Zoro watched as he dived into the water. He could have swore he saw a fin disappear in the water. He counted to watch the water waiting for a blond head to resurface, but just like Arlong Park, that never happened. Then Zoro could hear singing. The sound was filled with joy. He was pretty sure it was coming from the sea.
Zoro climbed down the ladder and stood next to the neat stack of clothes the cook had placed on the deck before diving into the dark, still waters below. He could pasintet, if he hadn't seen him stay under far longer than a human should Zoro would have dived in after him, after all he didn't want to hear his Luffy's whines at losing a chef.
He didn't know how long he stood and watched he saw ripples upon the surface of the water as a blonde head breached the still waters. He drew his sword as the other began to climb up the rope ladder. He had a bulging bag at his side. Sanji looked up at him, his bangs plaster to his forehead, scales dotted along his cheeks, Zoro watched as they faded away. He pointed his sword at the other man.
“What are you?”
“Do you really want to have this conversation here?” Sanji asked, raising one curled eyebrow. Zoro didn't answer and wasn't about to just let a potential enemy aboard the ship. “Fine so be it,” Zoro shuddered as he headed a familiar voice warp around his scenes. This song wasn't the same as the last two times. He rested the urge to put his sword away, it was hard, so fucking hard. His muscles shook and strained as he fought with himself. The song only became louder the harder he fought until he dropped his arm, his sword still in his hand. The song was still there, it was much quieter but it wasn't over yet. “Come on Zoro, just let me on board, I'll answer your questions then,”
Zoro reluctantly took a step back. The relief he felt was a rush that made me feel dizzy and good. He took another step, just feel it again. Zoro gripped his sword tighter and didn't take another step.
“Tell me! I know you're not human!” Zoro yelled at the blonde, still clinging to the rope ladder.
“Your one talk!” Sanji shouted back at him. “Unless those horns are just for decoration!”
“This isn't about me! It's about you being a potential danger to the crew,”
He watched as Sanji raised his visible curly brow. “Really? Zoro, if I wanted everyone dead, I would have done so already! I would have let Luffy drown more than once! I would have Lured your whole crew to the depths below while you all slept,” the blond shighed. “This is a fucking weird plase to have this discussion,”
“Fine, let whatever it is you're doing stop,”
“If you don't point your sword at me again I will,”
“Deal,” the music stopped filling his ears, a part of him missed it. Zoro stepped the rest of the way back, allowing the other on board. He watched impatiently as Sanji dried off and got dressed. His long hair hugged his body in wavy dripping curls, the blonde took a lighter, a cigarette, and a hair tie out of suit pocket. With a small click, he lit the cigarette he placed in his mouth and put the lighter away, and tied his hair back. Zoro took the time to notice a small bag sitting on the railing. “What's in the bag?”
“Hmm? Oh that's some sea urchins I found, come on let's have this talk in the galley so can put them away,” Zoro reluctantly followed him into the galley, he watched as Sanji puttered around in the kitchen. Before sitting down with two cups and a bottle of wine. “Sit, I won't bite,” Zoro took a seat across from Sanji as he poured the wine.
“Well? What are you?” Zoro asked as he took the wine offered. He tiped the glass back and swallowed a glup. It wasn't bad, not what he preferred, but it still had a nice flavor it was fruity but not sweet.

Based of this idea I had.
Imagine the reader getting continually distracted by Steve being shirtless and Eddie being all like...
😑😒 and those big brown eyes are all sad and he's just a pouty, jealous, baby boy
Most importantly he does not die in this.
Warnings; Jealous Eddie, he's a pouty, grumpy baby boy. Teeny tiny bit angst, Clueless reader, mutual pining. Fluff.
If you enjoyed this then please consider giving it a reblog. It is very much appreciated 😘
Tumblr media
I don't give anyone permission to copy my work.
💖💖
You would think that being in the Upside Down for the first time would be the thing that she focused on most but it wasn't.
Instead, that accolade went to Steve who was shirtless and covered in demo bat at bites.
She really shouldn't look but she couldn't tear her eyes away.
When did he get so hairy? it was a good look on him it's just since last year when they met she never noticed it.
Maybe because at that time they were fighting for their lives at Starcourt and this time they... were still fighting for their lives but now he was all shirtless and being distracting.
Eddie was beside her, she could smell his Old Spice aftershave and instinctively stepped closed to him but notices his jaw is tight and he has the cutest pout on his face and big sad eyes.
What happened? Some small part of her told her that he noticed she was looking at Steve and a thrill goes through her. Was he jealous?
Something about him drew her in and they spent a lot of time together because Dustin, Lucas, and Mike were in Hellfire and she would take over picking them up on Friday if Steve was working.
She had started to fall for him but had no idea if he felt the same.
He looked so adorable and grumpy all she wants to do at this precise moment is kiss him.
The ground started to rumble bringing her out of her reverie. Steve grabs hold of Nancy and Robin.
The impact of the ground shaking knocks her off her feet and into Eddie who captures her in his arms as they both hit the ground.
His arms are tight around her waist and she peers up at him - at those gorgeous doe eyes and has the urge to kiss him.
Eddie's eyes widen slightly then darken with something that makes her ache deep down in her core.
Robin clears her throat smirking at them and Eddie helps her up.
She thanks him then turns away her heart racing as she focuses on Nancy who is working out a plan.
Steve's chest is also still very distracting and she sneaks a glance at him.
Suddenly Eddie's denim vest flies toward Steve hitting him on his chest, it knocks him back a few steps.
Eddie's eyes are flashing and he looks very angry.
"For your modesty dude," he stalks away as they begin their walk to the Wheeler's house, and her stomach fills with butterflies at his reaction to her and Steve.
Maybe things weren't as hopeless as she thought on the feelings front?
💞
It had been exactly four days since Vecna was defeated and the upside down was closed for good.
Four days since the demo bat attack almost claimed Eddie's life when he had put himself in danger to distract the bats from getting to Nancy, Robin, and Steve while they lit Vecna's Grinch-looking ass up.
Jim Hopper was back, which was a surprise to a lot of us because we assumed he died in the explosion last summer, El promised she would tell us the full story once Hopper told her.
Since he was back and reinstated as chief of police he had cleared all the false charges against Eddie for the murders that Vecna caused.
Even for a town as strange as Hawkins, it would be hard to explain that a monster called Vecna who was once a human called Henry Creel and supposedly dead- now very dead) was the culprit.
Eddie brings her out of her thoughts as he settles beside her. He's just out of the hospital but is still very sore.
"Jesus h Christ what a fucking week" he groans and she nods.
"I know, will be nice to have some peace and with the Upside Down closed thankfully none of us has to take that trip again"
He huffs.
"I'm sure there were some things that were interesting to you" he grumbles and she stares at him for a second.
"What?" did he mean her looking at Steve?
"Steve has a distracting chest, I get why you like him, he's a good guy, handsome, good with chicks, you dig the bush on his chest," he says and he looks so cute and pouty that she sighs.
"You're a butthead, Eddie Munson" she replies, how can he not see it's him she likes? Sure Steve is handsome and she was distracted by him but she liked Eddie.
"You wanna know my type?" he perks up and looks at her intrigued.
"Steve..." she shakes her head and sighs then lets all the feelings she has pent up out in the open.
"Not Steve, no. I like a hot metalhead who has the biggest, most beautiful brown eyes I've ever seen. Who's kind and sweet and so fucking handsome and I adore him. Who I've been falling for and never thought he liked me"
He looks stunned for a second then moves closer to her and kisses her.
"Never thought I like you? Now who's the butthead" he smirks and she rolls her eyes but is still beaming.
"I adore you, princess. That's why I was so jealous" he presses a light kiss to her nose then back to her lips and she wraps her arms around him feeling like she is home- that being in his arms is the best feeling in the world.

Jim Kirk x reader
(A/N,This is not based on any episode or film. In this you are half Vulcan but act more human than your brother. Very few people know you are related as your long hair usually hides your ears. Kirk knows your part Vulcan but not that you are related to Spock. You are a science officer, security guard and engineer with a small amount of medical knowledge. Your main job, however, is a science officer.)
I exit the lift and walk onto the bridge smiling at Uhura before sitting down at my station next to my brother Spock. "Captain on the bridge." I smile to myself and resist the urge to turn around. Jim Kirk has been trying to get me to go out with him for the past two weeks. But I can't say yes due to the fact that his reputation logically means that I would end up with a broken heart. We are just approaching a planet were a couple of Starfleet scientists are living and documenting the creatures that live there, however recently we received a distress signal.
"Volunteers to beam down." I turn and put my hand up along with Spock and Bones. Kirk nods and stands "Meet me in the transporter room." we all nod and stand he presses a button on his chair and says "This is your Captain speaking, we are about to beam down a party to kirolson (I made this up, I think) I need a small security team to meet me in the transporter room, Captain out." he stands and joins us in the lift standing a little to close to me for it to be not noticed. The doors open and I hastily exit walking next to Spock to the transporter room "Why do you avoid the Captain?" I smile slightly "My dear Brother you do not need to worry your logical mind about such things."
We walk onto the transporter along with the three redshirts and Kirk nods at Scotty to beam us down after handing everyone a phaser and communicator. The familiar feeling of beaming makes me smile and I look at the new surroundings of the new planet. "Right spread outlook for any clues of life." I start walking away but Kirk grabs my arm "You stick with me, everyone else has gone in pairs." I nod knowing there is no way out of this "Come on then." we start walking towards what looks like a cave and Kirk grins at me "So how have you been Y/N?" I shrug and take out my padd scanning the surrounding area.
"Well according to this there is no sign of life anywhere except for the odd plant." we walk over to one and I scan it "Highly poisonous and seems to be slowly leaking into the air making it dangerous if exposed to it for longer than a couple of days." Kirk nods but is looking into the distance "You ok?" he nods "There is smoke coming from that cave." I nod "Come on." I run towards it and he follows yelling my name. Inside there is a small fire and what looks like a table full of science equipment except its all smashed up. "What the hell happened?" Kirk looks concerned and grabs my arm "Something is moving at the back of the cave." he aims his phaser and pushes me behind him "Show yourself." a mound of fabric approaches us and leans sideways.
"Are you Dr Stevens from Starfleet?" the thing grunts and looks up revealing a swollen purple face and boils all along its arms and face. I gasp and step back slightly, the thing stares at me and steps closer to us. Kirk aims his phaser higher aiming towards the things heart "Are you Dr Stevens?" the thing grunts and looks upwards "I am. I was." I step forward to bee next to Kirk "What happened to Dr Willis?" the thing tilts his head "Willis is dead!" I step forward again "How did he die?" the thing seems to be smiling "I killed him." the thing lunges forward and tackles me to the ground. I try to push him off but fail and he starts scratching and attempting to bite me. I use all my strength to keep its mouth away from me "Kirk shoot it." The thing slumps down and I try to push it off but fail. "Kirk a little help?" he nods and helps push the thing off and onto the floor. I crawl away from it and stand up leaning against the cave wall pulling my phaser out of my pocket.
Kirk places a hand on my arm "Are you alright?" I nod and look down at my arms which are covered in scratches. "How do I look?" he smiles and places a hand on my cheek "Beautiful as ever." I feel my cheeks flush green and he grins but his face turns grave when he looks at my neck "That thing bit you." I reach up and feel blood running down my neck, my hand comes away green "Damm." I hear ripping and look to see Kirk ripping a strip of the bottom of his shirt "Here," he presses it to the bite and starts walking around the cave examing the equipment he takes out his communicator "Kirk to Enterprise." there's a pause then Sulu says "Enterprise here captain." Kirk scowls "We found Dr Stevens, Dr Willis is dead and Stevens is currently unconscious and all the equipment seems to have been destroyed, Stevens is not in a good way the cause of it is unknown, kirk out."
"Mr Spock, come in." there is a bit of static then
"Spock here Captain."
"Have you found anything?"
"No Captain just strange purple plants that seem to be highly poisonous."
"We found Dr Stevens and Dr Willis is dead."
"Is Y/N alright?"
"Yes she is fine, Dr Stevens attacked her but she seems to be okay."
"Whereabouts are you?"
"In a cave on the far side of the planet."
"We're on our way, Spock out."
I feel my legs go weak and slide down the cave wall "Y/N are you alright?" I nod "Feeling a bit woozy." he kneels down next to me "Spock seems to care deeply about you?" I grin "He's my brother." Kirk looks shocked "I didn't know that." I smile and feel my eyes go heavy "I feel kinda weird." he nods "Umm well try to stay awake." I nod "Hey, you have a twin." I grin and turn to the cave entrance where some blurry figures are appearing. I vaguely hear them talking before blacking out.

Forgotten Curse: Sukuna x Curse! Reader: Chapter 18:
Tumblr media
“I don’t intend on speaking on this matter any further.” She said sighing and fiddling with her hair. In an attempt to hide the tears forming the corners of her eyes she wiped them away as quickly as they appeared. “I told you what you wanted to know, there is no need to elaborate.”
“You’re telling me you have no intent on telling me more about a curse who has the potential to threaten humanity?” Gojo stopped walking and turned to face her.
“Tell me then, what are you going to do when you find him?” She crosses her arms and scoffs. “He is an excellent strategist whose plans stretch over decades. I assume you’re not going to face him head on. You may threaten his plans but all it takes is for him to capture you and its game over.”
She flicks her hand in annoyance, “Or do you intend to train Itadori and somehow by some miracle be able to use him to end this battle. You aren’t looking at the bigger picture, Itadori is just a pawn in this. Not to mention the other exorcist students are going to brought into this mess.”
“Just how many people are going to get thrown into this battle?” Gojo said.
“Think of the entire exorcist's community all over Japan. It will be all exorcists’ hands on deck which we both know isn’t possible. And the icing on the cake is that exorcists will be fighting exorcists while you’ll be locked in a prison going mad. That’s why I need to do this on my own. I need to find a way to save this world without your help.” She pokes her finger against his chest and takes a step closer glaring.
“Then tell me exactly what happens from now on so we can prevent the rest from happening. Help me, help you.”
The curse smooths out her furrowed brow, “Then…the exchange festival will be where the first attack takes place. But by now he has already changed his plan since he considers me an extra variable or he knows it will go well no matter what I do and will keep it the same.” She bites her fingernail agitated by the idea of the plan. She whips her head to Gojo and continues, “But the most important date is October 31st.”
“Does the attack happen near the end of the exchange festival?” Gojo persists.
“Well, there’s something you need to know before that. The elders plan to use the festival as a cover up to kill Itadori but of course it won’t work. So Gojo tell me what do you plan to do with all of this info? I mean the exorcists might not even be inclined to help you.”
“I have a few connections of my own.” He smiles at her, “I won’t let some curse take me down so easily.”
“Then I have an idea I’d like to share.” A wicked smile played on her lips.
Gojo remained silent and urged her to keep strolling as they talked more.
“I plan to use Sukuna’s help in this matter. I mean he’ll kill anyone who challenges his authority. After all he’ll be stronger soon.”
Gojo chuckled and spoke, “How do plan on having him help? I imagine he won’t take kindly to you ordering him around.”
“To him he sees this as entertainment, as long as the play continues, he won’t have any problems. Of course, if someone outside this tries to stop this, they may find themselves dead. To me this is something I’d risk my life for. I don’t mind if this becomes my purpose.”
“I see you’re quite devoted to the task.
“Then lead the way.” He gestures to her to go ahead of him.
It doesn’t take long to reach Jujutsu High and the curse leads Gojo into the forest to the exact spots where the enemies will appear. Next, she guides him to where the main faceoffs with the enemy take place as well as areas near buildings that will receive damage.
“I’d like to try my hand at making some cursed energy traps.” Her eyes smile at Gojo.
“What about the students, won’t this interfere with the festival? Also, wouldn’t it be better if I just intervene?”
“You won’t be able to. I told you Kenjaku planned this out down to every last detail and he’ll be expecting me to do something. He might’ve already started to prepare precautionary measures since my fight with Jogo.”
“Who is Jogo?”
“The volcano head.” She said pursing her lips, “I forgot you didn’t know his name, not that it matters anymore.” She cast her eyes downward trying to suppress the memory of her being drunk and fighting him. “Anyway…back to the traps, I wanted to use my liquid nitrogen in order to-”
“I see you developed more abilities while I wasn’t looking.”
“Ah, the liquid nitrogen…” She trailed off watching her hand frost over whilst liquid nitrogen sat in the palm of her hand.
“Is that what killed her then?” Gojo mumbled to himself.
“Did you say something Gojo?” She said letting the liquid nitrogen slip through her fingertips freezing the grass below.
“No, just thinking aloud is all.”
“I had the idea of making ground traps with spikes but I thought this wouldn’t be enough. I was going to have a sealed container liquid nitrogen transferred to one that isn’t meant to hold it properly by a pressure trigger. And around it will be metal shrapnel, I’m guessing you would know what happens next.” She tilts her head and mutters to herself about the logistics of the trap and Gojo’s voice interrupts her train of thought.
“That is a good idea for a trap but if the enemy is wary how can we make it so they hit the target.”
“Good question, the enemy won’t be able to notice if they are in the middle of battle. Even if they do know by the time it takes to react, they will be caught in a chain reaction of explosion that is inescapable. For good measure we should made dud ones and other types.”
“Is there anything I can do for the traps? It sounds like you’ll be doing all the work.” Gojo scratched his head wondering what to do.
“I’m not sure who else we can bring into this without our plan being ruined.” She leaned against a tree and rested her palm against her cheek.
“Then I’ll draw a quick map of the area, make sure to mark all the spots you want to put traps.”
“Let’s get to it then.” With a glint in her eye, she had the determination for war. Not a simple skirmish.

x
You shed your skin and transform into a venomous snake that with one bite will take down soldiers left and right. If you're going to get out of here with Tony, may as well make it easy for him. The very first victim comes into sight after you leave the small room, and you slither up his leg and bite the skin on his arm. He yells in pain and flings you to the side but you're not fazed by it. You keep slithering your way closer to the exit, claiming as many victims as you can.
Tony makes his way out of the room and begins punching his way out, knocking out guards left and right while you kill. If you learned anything from the past thousand years is either kill or be killed. Tony doesn't have that mentality which is why he's only knocking them out. You slither on the ground closer to the exit but stop when you see Yinsen lying on the food covered in blood.
You transform back into your human self and run over to Yinsen.
"What the hell happened to you?" Tony comes around the corner in his big chunky suit. "Tony! Help!" Tony kneels down next to you to look at Yinsen, and he lifts up the mask so he can look at him with his own eyes. "He's hurt pretty badly."
"We gotta go. We have a plan. We're gonna stick to it," Tony sighs.
"This was always the plan, Stark."
"You're supposed to see your family. Get up," you urge.
"My family is dead. I'm gonna see them now," he whispers. "It's okay. I want this. I want this."
"Thank you for saving me," Tony sighs.
"Thank you for everything you did."
"Don't waste it. Don't waste your life."
Yinsen takes his last few breaths and allows himself the sweet relief of death. You wipe your tears and look at Tony who is pissed at what these people have done.
"They're all out there right now with big guns."
"I know."
"What do you wanna do?"
"Let me fight them. Bullets won't hurt me. You sneak out there and destroy as many guns and weapons as you can. I don't want them having it anymore."
"Okay. Please don't die."
"Only if you do the same."
With a deep breath, you stand and transform back into a snake. You'll be able to leave the cave undetected and this way, you'll be able to sneak past the guards and attack them from behind. You slither out of the cave where dozens of men are waiting with guns pointed at the entrance to the cave. You sneak to the very abc and transform back into yourself and watch from behind a rock.
Tony walks out with heavy footsteps, and everyone starts shooting at him. Nothing happens, of course, and they stop once they see their bullets aren't doing anything to him. He says something from behind the mask and uses the homemade flamethrowers to his advantage. That's when you come out from behind the rock and begin touching every single weapon you pass by, allowing it to go up in flames.
Tony continues to use the fire to create a pathway that he can use to escape. You look up and see the shimmer of something metal in the distance. When the dust clears, you can clearly see someone setting up to shoot you and Tony down. You duck behind a big rock just as the shooting starts, and you smirk as your eyes go up in red flames.
"Burn," you say.
Your powers allow you to heat up the core temperature for the shooter to the point where he bursts into flames where he stands. Tony needs to get the hell out of here, so he presses the big red button he put on his suit that allows him to fly. As soon as he pushes that, you take that as your cue to leave with him. Everything around him explodes, killing almost everyone around the base camp.
You take off flying into the air and follow Tony a few thousand meters away. His suit craps out at the last second and he goes crashing into the sand below. His suit comes apart in pieces that are scattered everywhere.
"Tony!" you gasp and fly over to him.
"I have got to make a better one of these," he mutters and takes off his helmet.
"Come on, we need to get the hell out of here before more comes." As soon as he's free from the metal suit, you two begin walking away from the base. "Hold onto me."
"Why?"
"Just do it."
You pull Tony into you and secure a good grip on him before taking off into the sky. When Tony realizes what's happening, he tightens his hold on you. The wind feels nice against his skin but he won't be able to hold onto you for long as he's exhausted from these last few months. This flight only lasts for twenty minutes before Tony taps aggressively on your shoulder. You land safely on the ground and he falls to his knees weakly.
"I know it sucks but we have to keep going."
"I don't know if I can."
"I can't leave you here by yourself."
Luckily, you don't have to. Two helicopters fly above you in search of you and Tony, and you send a light but strong gust of wind at one of the helicopters to get them to notice you.
"Hey! We're down here!" you yell loudly.
Rhodey is the first one out of the helicopter once it lands. Several people run toward you and Tony to help aid you to the helicopters.
"How was the fun car?" Rhodey asks with a teary smile. "Next time, you both ride with me."
You're safe now. Tony is safe now. You're going home.
You and Tony were semi-treated medically while on the flight back to the main base where you two took a plane back to the States. Not a lot could be done since they didn't have the necessary equipment to look at Tony's chest and see all the damage inside. There isn't a scratch left on your body from the ordeal even though Tony looks like a wreck. Rhodey became suspicious of that immediately but he's too worried about you two to focus on that.
When the plane lands, the first two people you see when the landing engages are Pepper and Happy. There are paramedics waiting to take a look at you, police, the FBI, the CIA, and just about anyone else who has an interest in both of your escapes. However, the only thing Tony can see and focus on is Pepper and the fact that she has tears in her eyes.
She cares about him in ways he deserves and on some level, you think Tony cares about her, too.
"Are you kidding me with this? Get rid of them," Tony scoffs at the medical team. Rhodey waves them off as Tony approaches Pepper. "Your eyes are red. A few tears for your long-lost boss?"
"Tears of joy. I hate job hunting."
"Yeah, vacation's over."
You, Tony, Pepper, and Happy pile into the car Happy brought over and you slump against the back seat with a sigh.
"Where to, sir?"
"Take us to the hospital, please, Happy," Pepper says.
"No."
"No? Tony, you two have to go to the hospital. A doctor has to look at you two."
"I don't have to do anything," he snaps. "We've been in captivity for three months. There are two things we want to do. We want an American cheeseburger, and I want you to call for a press conference now."
"Call for a press conference? What on Earth for?" she asks.
He doesn't give her an answer.
"Hogan, drive. Cheeseburger first."
What you and Tony have been through for the past three months is eye-opening. Tony no longer wants to make weapons because of shit like this. Happy does what he's told and drives away from the airport. He stops at Tony's favorite burger place to grab half a dozen cheeseburgers for you and Tony. The next stop is at City Hall where a group of reporters are waiting along with Obadiah Stane.
You two get out and greet Obadiah with open arms. Everyone starts taking pictures of you and Tony so they can write their articles and make their money.
"What happened to going to the hospital?"
"We're fine."
Obadiah escorts you two inside where three dozen reporters are waiting for you. As soon as they heard you and Tony are back safely from captivity, they rushed over with the hopes they get the scoop for the articles you don't doubt are coming. You and Tony push to the front where the podium is and when you turn, you spot Pepper talking to someone you never thought you'd see again.
Agent Phil Coulson. If he's here, then Nick Fury is around here somewhere, so you look around the place to see if you can spot the one-eyed man. If he's not here, that means that he's near City Hall somewhere, and you turn back to Phil only to lock eyes with him. He knows exactly who you are. He knows exactly what you used to escape. He knows exactly what you are. He makes no move to acknowledge you and keeps a friendly face on for Pepper.
"Hey, would it be all right if everyone sat down?" Tony announces to the room. Everyone stares at him in confusion including Pepper and Phil. "Why don't you just sit down? That way you can see me, and I can see you."
You and Tony take a seat at the front of the podium while every single reporter kneels uncomfortably on the floor. Obadiah sits next to you and gives you an uneasy smile. This smile is different... It's making you uncomfortable.
"I never got to say goodbye to Dad. I never got to say goodbye to my father. There are questions that I would have asked him. I would have asked him how he felt about what this company did like if he was conflicted or if he ever had doubts. Or maybe he was every inch of the man we all remember from the newsreels."
A man in the front row raises his hand, and Tony points to him.
"What happened out there?"
"Greed. Violence. Suffering. Men who want to inflict pain onto others for the hell of it," you answer him.
Tony stands up and moves back behind the podium, and you and Obadiah follow suit.
"I saw young Americans killed by the very weapons I created to defend and protect them," Tony adds. "I saw that I had become part of a system that is comfortable with zero accountability. I had my eyes opened. I came to realize that I have more to offer this world than just making things that blow up. That is why, effective immediately, I am shutting down the weapons manufacturing division of Stark Industries until such a time as I can decide what the future of the company will be, what direction it should take, and is consistent with the highest good for this country, as well."
Every reporter jumps to their feet and all talk over each other trying to get questions in but Tony has said all he needed to say. Obadiah takes the stand behind the microphone to address the room as you and Tony leave to let him clean up the mess.
"What we should take away from this is that Tony and Y/N are back! They're healthier than ever. We're going to have a little internal discussion and we'll get back to you with the follow-up," he smiles forcefully.
You and Tony take shelter in the main room of his factory where the giant arc reactor is. Obadiah is gonna wanna talk to you about what Tony decided to do but for now, you're enjoying the peace before the storm.
"I can't keep making weapons for people. Not after what we've seen."
"I know. I fully support you. I know what you're thinking." Tony looks at you. "I saw what you were like building that suit. You enjoyed it. You wanna make more."
"I'm thinking about it."
"He's not gonna take to this well," you say about Obadiah.
"It isn't his choice."
"He doesn't seem to think it's yours."
"Well, that went well," Obadiah says from the front door.
"Did I just paint a target on the back of our head?" Tony asks about you two.
"Your head? What about my head? What do you think the over-under on the stock drop is gonna be tomorrow?"
"Optimistically, forty points."
"Tony, we're a weapons manufacturer," Obadiah sighs.
"Obie, I just don't want a body count to be our only legacy."
"That's what we do. We're ironmongers. We make weapons."
"It's his name on the side of the building," you argue.
Obadiah narrows his eyes at you slightly but regards Tony and only Tony.
"What we do keeps the world from falling into chaos."
"Not based on what we saw," you scoff.
"We're not doing a good enough job. We can do better. We're gonna do something else," Tony backs you up.
"Like what? You want us to make baby bottles?"
"I think we should take another look into arc reactor technology."
"I fully support that," you encourage.
"The arc reactor is a publicity stunt! Tony, come on. We built that thing to shut the hippies up!"
"It works!" you exclaim.
"Yeah as a science project. The arc was never cost-effective. We knew that before we built it. Arc reactor technology is a dead-end, right? We haven't had a breakthrough in thirty years."
"That's what they say." Obadiah stares into Tony's eyes before not-so-subtly moving them down to his chest. Of Course, Rhodey told him about this. It's the first thing Rhodey figured out when he questions Tony how he was still alive. "Could you have a lousier poker face? Just tell me who told you."
"Never mind who told me. Show me."
"It's Rhodey or Pepper," you say.
"I want to see it." He sighs when Tony doesn't relent. "Okay, Rhodey." Tony unbuttons his shirt to show Obadiah the small ar reactor that is responsible for keeping him alive. The older man looks around and quickly buttons the shirt back up so no one else sees it. Imagine if that got out to the press. "Listen to me Tony, we're a team. Do you understand? There's nothing we can't do if we stick together like your father and me."
"I'm sorry I didn't give you a heads-up, okay?"
"Tony, no more of this 'ready, fire, aim' business. Do you understand me?"
"That was Dad's line."
"You gotta let me handle this. We're gonna have to play a whole different kind of ballgame now. We're going to have to take a lot of heat. I want you to promise me that you're gonna lay low."
"Sure."

Can I nsfw request headcannons of Dragon!Kagaya x Reader please? It’s fine if you ignore it!
Dragon!Kagaya x Fem!Reader
18+
Oooo this will be interesting 🤔 ive never done anything nsfw for kagaya before so lets give it a try
Warnings: Smut, dragon au, kagaya is still blind, handjobs, blowjobs, riding, cowgirl, knotting, creampie, thank-you sex
Unlike most dragons, he’s quite accustomed to human ways and is thoroughly educated on the differences of the two species
But that isn't to say he doesn't feel the same instincts and urges as all other dragons do
So when you wander into his cave one quiet night, the first thing he can even think of doing is keeping you there
He does everything he can to extend your stay, feeding you, letting you take a nice warm bath in one of the many hot springs that decorate his abode, warning you of the many dangers that lurk around at night, yet you still insist you must get going, not wanting to be a bother
But he continues to urge you, practically begging you not to leave, and he's just been so nice that you give in
You stay for a grand total of 3 weeks, your every attempt at leaving met with a sad expression and worry from him, but you push past the sadness it brings you, finally leaving the way you came
It gets darker a lot faster than you thought it would, suspicious sounds filling your ears at every turn, when you reach a dead end of stone, absolutely certain this wasn't her last time, you start to worry
Several dragons corner you in, snarling and snapping at you dangerous close and you scream out
Just when they're about to grab you, 2 more individuals sweep in, swiping at your tormenters and shooing them away
As everything settles down, they come better into view, two large males, one hellishly large and blank eyes, the other a bit shorter with crazy white hair and scars, your confused as you stare at them until another comes out from the foliage, who you quickly recognize to be Kagaya
He softly asks if you are alright and you can't stop yourself from leaping into his arms, so overwhelmed and traumatized by what had just happened
Your still sobbing as he takes you back to his cave, his rumbling purrs deep within his chest and tender cooing eventually calming you down
As he cradles you in his arms as he lays you both down into his nest, your overcome with a sense of intimacy you've never quite felt before, it runs all the way from you tingling brain down to your curling toes, a wave of slickness rushing out of your core
He must be able to sense it as he nuzzles into you, bathing you in his scent while mumbling sweet praises into your ear
You giggle as you fall deeper into him, unable to stop yourself from lazily humping at his lap, hazy stupidity glazing over your brain quickly with the growing vibrations of his purr
You're the first to undress yourself, letting his hands roam about to memorize your body with touch rather than sight, then you push his robe open, taking his thickening cock in your hand and pumping it slowly, he groans aloud, leaning into your neck to bite and lick carvings into your neck
You drop down to take his member into your mouth, bobbing up and down to suck him until he finally reaches full hardness and twitches harshly
You ride him gently, rocking your hips to and fro and unintentionally stimulating his growing knot with your puffy cunt lips, he pants underneath you, worshipping your perfection and encouraging you to take what you need from him
When the time comes, he warns you, prompting you to slap your hips down a top his and swallowing his knot into your tight heat
He practically whimpers, humping up into you and jostling where you're locked, the movement has you whining, throwing you into your own orgasm and further milking him into your womb
You lay a top him exhausting, both of you peacefully falling asleep with his cock and cum stuck inside of you and his voice lulling you to unconsciousness with sweet nothings

the morning after – gojo satoru ver!
warnings: slight dirty talk and suggestive content, like the yuuji one, nothing too explicit! Oh and a teasing, cheeky gojo :>
masterlist ! (photo not mine)
Tumblr media
It doesn’t hit you until you’re whacked by an arm in the face. Literally.
You whine and push the foreign weight away that smushed your nose at the impact, less than pleased because you’re having the best of your life, but someone had to ruin it. Nevertheless, you refuse to open your eyes and settle into the warmth that encases you in that moment. It reminds you of your precious unicorn plushie you left back at your apartment; cuddly, precious, keeps the nightmares away, but the best part about this human teddy bear is that he’s all firm muscles and body heat instead of fur cotton.
Wait, what? Human?
It’s when you hear the man stirring above you with a husky groan that you freeze in your spot, eyes snapping wide open your vision blurs for a split second. The first thing you see is smooth skin and firm pecs, followed by a slender, strong neck and a sharp jawline – oh god.
So last night wasn’t a dream.
Clenching your teeth and even biting the inside of your cheeks to stop squealing – more out of embarrassment and shame than happiness, really – you slowly reach up between your squished bodies to pinch your cheeks, bringing blood and feeling back into them. No wonder you’ve slept so well last night, and as someone who prefers pulling an all-nighter until you pass out in the middle of an anime series, it’s quite rare to find a good eight hour sleep.
It’s not like you had much...activities performed that would take up too much energy. Until Gojo Satoru came, the teacher from the Tokyo school, and also the notoriously infamous “strongest jujutsu sorcerer.”
You’ve had a crush on him the moment you’ve started working as a teacher in the Kyoto school. Utahime, who was closer to him, was incredibly appalled when you told her one day about your raging crush on the white-haired man who looked absolutely breathtaking with his blindfold, but without them?
Just the thought of having seen them last night, when he was between your legs, no less, has you inwardly groaning and cringing so hard you feel so shameful that you can’t even look him in the eye. Satoru is fast asleep above you, one of his strong arms lazily draped over the curve of your waist and his fingers brushing against your bum. When you shift a little to give you both space, his fingers begin to hover dangerously close to a sensitive area and you let out a tiny squeak, muffling it with the back of your fist before he awakens.
This man had the Six Eyes – the last thing you wanted was for him to sense and notice the little things and wake up. No, you had to leave before he even gets the chance to move.
The chances of not waking him up was pretty slim, but you’ve always been proud of your sneaky movements that you try anyway. Fortunately, Satoru doesn’t seem to be a hardcore cuddler because he doesn’t pull you back when you finally slip past the sheets.
You freeze for a moment at the edge of the bed, still in disbelief that you actually slept with him. No, no, that’s wrong, you’d have slept with him anytime if he allowed it but – he actually slept with you. It’s not that you’re looking down on yourself because you’re also a special grade sorcerer and could stand your own ground confidently, but your powers when it comes to exorcising and your social skills are two different things that don’t even come close together.
You’re not worried that a special grade curse would kill you and take away your privilege of finishing that new manga you bought in your day off because you know you could handle it easily, but as a person, there’s a stark difference between you and Satoru.
True, he wasn’t exactly liked by everyone because he refused to be limited by rules and regulations, always claiming that one should not be hindered by the narrow-mindedness of the others, but it was something you really admired about him because you’re not like that. You’re old school, sticking by the book, much like his co-worker Nanami Kento who equally hates overtime, and while Gojo Satoru was loud and confident, you’re more of the person who stays by a corner during a party.
Which is exactly what happened last night at Utahime’s birthday party – aka the old wrinkly principal isn’t here so let’s get wasted type of party.
You’re not surprised that Gojo Satoru walked in, but when he did, you had to clutch your spirit water and drink it in haste because he’s got you feeling thirstier than you did last night – and you drink your water plenty. But how could you remain sane when he looked so gorgeous in just his uniform and his laughter has butterflies erupting in your stomach?
Truth was, you’re satisfied watching him from afar. It’s not like you ever plan on asking him out or being his friend because you’re sure Satoru has better things to do and prettier people to talk to, so when he sits next to you in the desolate leather couch, legs crossed over one another and his arm right behind you (although not touching, he respects your space) you nearly pass out.
One thing leads to another, and you find yourself writhing under his arms, shamelessly crying his name over and over again until the dead hours of the night that has his ego inflating.
You don’t remember how or exactly why it happened, but definitely, alcohol had to be involved. There’s no way Gojo Satoru would actually notice you, much less sleep with you, when he’s completely sober, which is why you scramble around the room with the blanket covering your bare body as you look for your discarded clothes.
If he wakes up and sees you, he’ll probably regret everything that happened last night, if he remembers any of it, anyway.
But you’re most definitely mostly sober through the whole thing, so you remember how good he was in making you feel like a goddess. The way he sucked on your neck, licking a stripe at your burning skin while his large hands groped your breasts possessively, all the while rutting in that perfect spot that has your eyes rolling at the back of your head with your nails running down his back – you shiver just thinking about it.
Gojo Satoru really has that effect on people.
You hide your flustered state and quickly pull on your undergarments, about to slip the sweater over your head, only to die on the inside because you realize you’re wearing those full cotton panties instead of sexy lingerie. With a groan, you fight back the urge to cry. But then again, who could blame yourself for not dressing sexily? It’s not like you had any idea that this would happen.
You’re halfway through your jeans when Gojo’s husky morning voice breaks through the silence. “Leaving already?” you hear him smile, although your back is turned to him, face completely morphed into terror. “Such a shame. I was actually thinking shower sex sounds nice – if you’re into that, of course.”
“Satoru,” you greet lamely with a bow, avoiding the way his stunning eyes raked over your form with an unreadable dark expression. “Uh, you’re awake, and...good morning, I guess.”
Gojo smirks at your flushed cheeks, and it takes everything not to stare at the way his biceps strain from the way he supports his head, hair sticking in every direction and looking absolutely sexy in the morning light. “Good morning to you too, Y/N,” your breath stifles, because he knows your name? “Although it would be an ever better morning if you weren’t such in a rush to leave,” he chuckles, “It makes me feel like maybe you regret what happened last night.”
Your head snaps up at his words as you shakily wiggle your arms, “No, that’s not true, I loved every second of it! It was...it was the best night of my life,” your cheeks tinge a shade darker when Gojo beams at your words, chest almost puffing out proudly. Shyly, you turn away from him and fiddle with the hem of your sweatshirt. “I just...I didn’t think you’d still want me here around, because you were drunk last night and all and I thought maybe you’ll regret it, which I don’t want to happen so yeah, I just thought I’d leave before I get to...” you clear your throat awkwardly, “...be rejected like that.”
“Y/N,” his voice falls an octave lower, the thoughts in your head growing so loud you don’t even hear that he’s already left the bed, and now he’s cradling your chin until you’re forced to witness the galaxies burning in his eyes. “You thought I was drunk last night and did it because I was just horny? That I would regret it and forget all about it?”
His proximity has your breath stuttering, your eyelashes slapping your cheeks as you blink rapidly. “Well, uhm, I’m not really your type, so I think it was safe to assume that.”
Gojo hums at your words, his calloused thumb running over your lips. A small smile flits across his face when he remembers how much of a good girl you were for him last night, obediently opening those lips up and letting him bask in the warmth of your wet cavern before swallowing all he has to give. Funnily enough, Gojo isn’t the best with his words, so he just tucks a strand of hair behind your ear before sighing.
“I wasn’t drunk,” he finally admits. The confession has you slipping from his grasp, but Gojo snakes his arm around the small of your back to pull you to him, the warmth of his bare skin seeping into your clothes. However, it’s nothing compared to the lust and adoration burning in his eyes – one you can’t properly fathom in this clouded state. “Tipsy, sure, but I assure you I was aware and sober for every little part,” his lips hover at your ear, one of his hands coming at the back of your neck to tilt your head to the side, granting him access to the hickeys he’d purposely left.
Just the sight of his markings on your perfect body has a tent growing in his pants. You feel his erection rub at the pad of your jeans, eliciting a small whine from you, and this makes Gojo resist the urge to bend you over right then and there. But he doesn’t do that, because he knows your body is too tired from his ministrations, and he’s nice enough to give you a break – even if that’s not exactly what your burning core wants at that moment.
“Like the way you clenched around my cock when I hit that sensitive spot of yours,” he laughs when you shiver at the way his breath tickles you, “Or how pretty you look when you cream around my cock, begging me to go harder because you can take it, and baby, I promise you, I loved it just as much as you did.”
Finally, Gojo pulls back, and he’s extremely satisfied when he sees how small and innocent you look just like that, as if he hadn’t just folded you in half to watch the way your pretty pussy welcome him and take him better than anyone else just hours ago.
“But,” he continues, “I think I enjoyed it a lot more, considering I’ve wanted to do that for such a long time now,” at his words, you furrow your brows, and that’s when he realizes his mistake. Gojo reverts back to his usual lighthearted self and fans his hand out almost comically with his hands on his hips. “I mean, not just the sex, though it is amazing, but having you close is what I meant. Like holding your hand or getting to kiss you,” he sighs dreamily as if you’re not in the same room as him.
“Uh,” you awkwardly begin, unsure of what to say. “Are you saying you like me?”
“Yeah,” he smirks, which shouldn’t have been such a sexy look on him, but because he’s Gojo, it was. “But Utahime said she’d cut my balls off if I even get near you. Thank goodness she was too drunk last night to ever see it, but I’m glad I talked to you. I’m just ashamed I’m only saying this after the sex but...would you like to go out with me?”
Thanks to his Six Eyes ability, Gojo is blessed with the privilege of seeing you malfunction before him as you try to find your words.

hiiiii! <33 i dont know if you are taking any requests but can you write a leon x reader in which the reader gets bitten? (i love drama lmaoo)
love uuuuuu<3333
Okay so I do have like a bunch of other stuff to finish in my inbox, but I tend to not do things in order of when I get them, I do them in the order of whatever I get done first (since I start them all whenever I get them and work on them over time) and whatever I'm getting the most inspiration for at the moment, and this baby right here: chefs kiss right now. I LOVE angst so much, it is my favourite thing to write.
Also I'm always open for requests! It's just a matter of when they get done, since like I said above, and also my final year of uni just started so oof. ALSO: Decided to do RE2 Leon oop... I hope that's okay!
I LOVE YOU TOO! Here you go bb,
Warnings: angst, blood/gore, injury, character death
Length: 2.8k (I- oop.)
Request: in the ask!
RE2 Leon Kennedy x Reader - Not you.
Your hand squeezed your thigh with as much strength as you could muster. It wasn't that it was hurting too much yet, you were still running off the shock and adrenaline from the events moments before that the pain hadn't yet settled. Dark blood oozed between your shaking fingers and coated your hand like you had just decided to dip your hand into a bucket of red paint. It was hardly sanitary considering the situation you were in, dirty and sweaty, having been going through the sewers earlier.
The undead man who had done the deed lay a few feet away with your survival knife Leon had given you stuck in his temple. You could see your own blood and flesh on his face, in his mouth. It was unnerving, and you usually wouldn't have noticed such a detail, except that it was your skin. Your blood. Your body.
You inched yourself towards the corpse and used the tip of your foot to make sure it wasn't still going to get back up. When it did nothing after a few pushes, you deemed it safe enough to take your knife back. With a few hard tugs, it dislodged itself with a squelch and you fell back against the wall behind you, exhausted.
The sudden sharp pain that run up your leg into your spine and made you arch your back for a moment as you stopped breathing forced you to pay attention to the wound on your leg. Hesitantly, you moved your shaking fingers away from the bite on your leg to take a peak.
There wasn't really a point to looking at it, you realized moments after you laid eyes on it. It wasn't going to fix anything, and there was nothing for you to assess. A bite was a bite, and you knew what it meant. Leon and you had seen what happened to Marvin. You yourself had seen a friend turn after being bit before you had gone to the RPD. So you knew.
The skin near the bite was incredibly hot to the touch, and even without touching it, you could feel the heat coming off your skin. Your jeans sported a hole where the bite was and you wondered if there was anything in your bag to cover it with. It was ugly to look at, and scary.
You let out of deep sigh as you closed your eyes. There wasn't much you could do but sit there. Leon was somewhere inside the NEST, and you were at the entrance. You weren't sure if you wanted Leon to find you dead or alive, but all you knew was that this was not something you nor him could fix.
It felt like hours had passed when Leon had shown up. But in reality, it had only been about half of an hour. Whatever was in the bite, whatever the virus really was, had done a number on you as you felt sweat bead at your forehead and slowly trickle down the side of your face. The furrow in your brow from the pain almost felt like it was permanent.
"Y/N!" He called out when he spotted you. He looked worse for wear, that was for sure. The way his shirt had been ripped on the sleeves, and the bandage you could see just beneath his shirt and RPD vest. He was caked in blood, sweat, and dirt too.
And yet he was a welcome sight for your tired eyes.
He quickly slid onto his knees and if you weren't in so much pain yourself, you would've winced at how harshly he landed on the hard floor, but it didn't seem like he was affected by it.
"I'm so glad I found you," he said breathily; he reminded you of a little puppy, and it made you want to squeeze him close to you, "what happened, what-"
Your hand squeezed your leg unconsciously and he looked down when you did so, his beautiful blue eyes resting on your bloodied hand and whatever you were covering up. His eyes looked back up to you almost hesitantly, asking to look. When a half-smile was your only response, he looked back down and focused on your leg.
His hands gently pried your fingers off your leg and he carefully let your hand go on your lap, giving them a squeeze.
"I'm..." he seemed at a loss for words, you would've been too, "I have to... Cut this away to see it better, okay? It's..."
Carefully he used his own survival knife to cut away at the pieces of your jeans, which were dyed deep red around the wound, so he could see it better. Your hand came up to his shoulder as he did so, peeling the bloody fabric away from it as much as he could without hurting you, and you squeezed his shoulder so tightly, fighting the urge to scream in pain. But he didn't seem to notice, or care, about the harsh grip you had on his shoulder.
"Oh. God..." it was said softly, almost as if he had no air left inside him to breathe, let alone speak.
"It's really ugly, I know," you tried to make the situation less dire, but it didn't seem to work, because Leon just looked at you with his big eyes, full of so many negative emotions.
"It's not..." even Leon didn't know what he was doing to say as he trailed off. He began searching through his pockets till he came up with a bottle of antiseptic that looked half empty.
"It's gonna be okay," he finally spoke again as he started to open the bottle, but your hand reached up and seized his own holding the open bottle above your leg.
"Don't use that," you pushed it closer to him and further from your leg, "you can't afford to waste that."
"I'm not wasting it."
You hadn't heard him sound so sure of his words, so... Angry. You hadn't known the boy long, but that was the first time you'd seen him react that way to anything. It made your push your lips together in a thin line, but you kept your hand on him, stopping him from using the antiseptic.
"I'm pretty sure we both know how this ends," you prompted slowly, "I don't think an antiseptic is going to fix it."
"The vaccine is here somewhere, it has to be," he stated firmly, "we just need to find it. It's going to be okay."
It wasn't that you didn't trust him, or that you didn't believe him. But how long was it going to take to find a vaccine? And how did you truly know you were going to find one? You didn't even know if it would work.
You didn't have much say when Leon moved to put your arm over his shoulder, and looked at you, counting to three before he helped you off the ground.
It worked initially: you had managed to stand up with the help of the rookie cop beside you, who kicked the zombie that had done the deed further from you two when you had gotten up. But it didn't last long, as pain shot through your leg and seemed to spread through your entire body. You could barely keep yourself upright even with his help, your body felt too weak to even function.
"Leon, I can't," you cried, falling back against the wall, "I can't."
"Damnit," Leon cursed under his breath, looking around him urgently before he left you against the wall to open a door across from the two of you.
He was missing for less than a minute when he came back out from the room and quickly came back to you. One of his arms reached under your legs while the other went to your back.
"I'm going to pick you up, okay?"
Ever the gentleman, even when you were definitely dying.
"My hero," you smiled softly but it came out as more of a grimace as he lifted you up like you weighed nothing.
You supposed training to be a police officer meant he wouldn't have trouble carrying fully grown human beings.
The room was dimly lit by a single lamp. There was a bed right across from the door, and a desk close to the door. Someone must've used this room as not just a study but a place to sleep. Like a bedroom.
Leon gently placed you on the bed in the room, being careful on how he placed you, and never taking his focus away from your leg.
"Okay," he breathed out pulling back, "I'm going to go find the vaccine. And then we're going to get out of here. Together."
It was a wonderful thought. It was the dream, right? For everything to be okay, for you to be fine, and for the two of you to get out of Raccoon city and away from this mess. Together.
And yet you knew it wasn't going to happen, you knew you weren't getting out of there. You knew you were dead. And it was a scary thought to have to face alone because you wanted so badly to live. To live with him.
He would've been out that door had you not reached your hand out and grabbed his hand as best you could, squeezing it as hard as you could.
"Don't," your voice cracked as you swallowed hard, the ache in your chest only growing when his pained expression met yours, "don't leave me. Leon..."
"But I need to..."
It was blatantly obvious to not only yourself but also to him that there wasn't anything he could do. Not anything he could do in time for you. He didn't even know what he'd be looking for exactly, but he'd go find it if he could. He'd do anything to help you. To save you, and keep you near, but there wasn't anything he could do. It was a cold hard truth, and one he so desperately wanted to avoid.
But he couldn't.
Not when he looked at you, and really looked. Not just second glances over your form and your leg that lasted seconds as his blue eyes frantically moved like they were trying to find something they couldn't. No, when he really stopped and stared at you, he couldn't avoid it.
Your skin was ashen and you were covered in a thin layer of sweat. Your eyes somehow looked like they had sunken in a bit, and looked dull compared to what they usually looked like. The way you breathed was alarming, it was shallow and sounded tiring, and then some moments it would speed up only to slow down moments later. You were in pain, and you were hardly there anymore.
"Y/N..." Leon's voice cracked, and you never thought you were going to see him cry. He held your hand back tightly and noted your fingertips felt cooler, "This isn't happening. Not to you."
"I should've paid more attention..." you said softly, "I don't... I don't want to die."
"I should've been here, I should've..." he exhaled through his nose, "damnit!"
"I'm not letting you blame yourself," you sternly interrupted him and squeezed his hand as best as you could, "not now. Not ever. None of this is your fault..."
Leon said nothing as he took to the ground beside the bed, kneeling right beside you. His face was close to your own as he leaned forward, his hand still holding your own tightly, which he brought up to your chest where your intertwined hands sat.
"Just..." you knew what you wanted to say but you didn't want to make the hurt worse, "just... promise you won't forget about me? And promise... Promise you're going to get out of here. Alive."
"I could never forget you," he said hurriedly as if he was offended you would have even thought he could forget you, "even if I wanted to, I could never..."
There was something there, between the two of you, that was trying to lay itself bare, but something was stopping it. There was something unsaid, simple words that were hard to say and had so much meaning, so much weight. But neither of you could say it.
If you did, not only would it be the first time, but also, the last time.
With your remaining strength you slipped a ring off your finger; it was an old thing, something that you had for a while and you didn't even remember why you got it or where you got it, but you always wore it just because. It had no sentimental meaning, but now it did as you pushed it into his hands. The look of confusion on his pained face made you smile slightly.
"So you always have a piece of me," you said, "and if you ever try to pawn that off I will come back and find you, Kennedy..."
His eyes trained themselves of the silver ring in his hands, it was so plain, just a band. But it was yours. It was you. It was all he could keep of you, he realized because this wasn't going to end with your life. Pocketing the ring, he took your hand again.
"I might just sell it then if you show up," he tried to make you smile, which it worked, but he also felt the need to reassure you, "I won't get rid of it. Ever."
"Good to know," you let go of his hand again and pulled out the gun in the holster that he had found for you in the station, inside was a round of ammo that you wouldn't need. Pulling out the ammo, save for one of the bullets, you gave him the rounds.
"What? What are you-"
"I'm not... Going to need this," you said, slightly out of breath from the pain you were in, "and I know they fit Matilda. But I'm keeping the gun, and one of the bullets."
It seemed to dawn on him what you meant by your final sentence and he frantically began to protest.
"Hey, wait, no," he shook his head, "no. I can... You don't have to... Let me."
It was the idea that you would have to shoot yourself that made him uncomfortable. The idea that you would need to take your own life upset him. But if you didn't want to turn into one of them, he would do it for you. He would... He...
"We both know you can't," you justified, "and I don't want you to. I could never ask you to. So, you go. You leave Leon, and you find that virus. You get out of here, and you live. You don't do anything stupid or reckless, and you make these bastards pay."
You were adamant, and you left absolutely no room for argument. Even if he wanted to argue, he couldn't. And he wanted to argue. But denial would get him killed, and you wanted him to live. And some part of him wanted to live for you.
"Alright," his voice didn't waver this time as he spoke, "Alright."
He placed his head against yours for a moment when he stood up and squeezed your hand a little tighter in his own when he grabbed it again. Softly, you placed a small kiss on the corner of his mouth and ushered him to leave. It felt like he was walking on hot coals the whole time as he walked out the door, he regretted it when he looked back at you at the door, like he was waiting for you to get up and go with him. It just made closing the door behind him a lot harder.
He hadn't really been keeping watch of the time since he arrived in the RPD. He didn't really realize how fast or how slow time was going. But at that moment, outside that door, he really felt the way time flowed. It was impossibly slow, agonizingly so, and it was deadly quiet. Something that happened in only moments felt like it had taken an eternity.
He was used to the sound of a gun by now. It didn't make him flinch anymore. But this time it did. It made his stomach clench and his jaw tighten, his body stiffens. He hated how it sounded more than he ever had before.
The piece of metal in his pocket weighed heavy as he ghosted his hand over it.
Leon was going to find who did this. He was going to make sure nothing like this ever happened again. But most of all, he was going to make them pay.

Fictober 20/31 -- “There’s only us.”
The Avengers are coming, but Lottie snuck out, so it takes them a while to realize that 1) she’s missing, 2) she’s in danger, and 3) they have to actually locate her. She’s aware of this, and she’s unwilling to wait. Over 1K so look out for under the cut!
--
“Alright, introductions out of the way,” Lottie said, voice clipped. “I’m Lottie. You know Mr. Cheung. Who are you. Fast.” The older boy was taking off his shirt. Lottie squinted at him, absolutely bewildered, until she remembered her nakedness. The other two kids were staring at her, agog. She considered turning back into a cat. Eventually she decided against it, taking the shirt with a sigh and pulling it over her head. Once covered, she clapped her hands together, sternly repeating, “Names. Give them to me.”
“Bernie,” the older boy said, crossing his arms over his chest. “I can turn invisible as long as I hold my breath.” He moved his right arm uncomfortably, drawing attention to the device around his wrist. “When I’m not wearing this thing, anyway.”
The middle of the two stood up from cowering against the wall as Mr. Cheung put a hand on Lottie’s shoulder, as if to show she was a safe person. “My name’s Veronica. I can hover off the ground.” She turned and grabbed the last kid up, who meekly hid his face in her shoulder. “This is Tim. He can create ultrasonic waves with his mouth. He can’t control it, though, so he’s scared to talk, even with the bracelet.”
Lottie felt her stern expression fade. She bent down a little, smiling. “Nice to meet you, Tim. I understand being afraid to hurt someone with your powers. Do you know any sign language?”
Tim shook his head.
“He writes in our palms,” Bernie offered.
“Okay, well, maybe once we get out of here, we can find someone to teach you a way to communicate that doesn’t revolve around writing,” Lottie told him gently, then stood up, looking around the cell.
“What do you mean, once we get out of here?” Bernie asked, following her as she walked over to the barred door. “We’ve been here for months.”
Lottie turned to look at him sharply. “Months?”
“Well, Veronica has,” Bernie admitted under her glare. “For three months. Then me, then Tim, then Yin.”
“Yin,” Lottie repeated, confused.
Mr. Cheung sighed. “That’s my first name.”
“He gets to call you by your first name?!” Lottie exclaimed, outraged.
“You can call me Yin when you can properly pronounce ‘orange,’” Mr. Cheung said sternly.
Lottie threw her hands up, frustrated, then threw them out when they both opened their mouths to speak. “No. Stop. Both of you are being called ‘shut up’ until you can provide me with help.”
“Charlotte,” Mr. Cheung began, offended.
“SHUT UP,” Lottie hissed, and let her teeth go sharp in warning. She turned back to the door, curling her fingers around the bars and testing its strength. It could probably stand up to the strongest human. If she was a tiger, she could rip it clean off its hinges.
She would rip it clean off its hinges.
“Lottie, wait,” Bernie began.
Lottie took a deep breath and rolled her eyes, then let it back out slowly, turning to look at him. “What?”
“You think we can just, what, escape like that?” Bernie said, obviously frustrated. “We don’t know the guards’ schedules, if these devices can be used to hurt us, or even where, exactly, we are. Where are we going to go?”
Lottie worked her jaw. He looked so young, he couldn’t be any older than eighteen or nineteen. She wondered if she’d looked so young the day her parents waved her and her sisters off to go to Mutant Pride. God. How had they ever let her go. She looked back out at the hallway. “So your proposal is… to sit here and wait and see what happens?” she asked, biting back a growl.
“We don’t even know what they want from us,” Bernie said, shrugging, movements sharp and angry.
Lottie let her hands drop from the door, fighting the urge to bare her teeth at him.
“They want us dead,” Mr. Cheung said simply, matter-of-fact. “They did the same thing to my parents back in Guangdong. They fled the country to escape it.”
“Dead?” Veronica repeated, voice cracking.
“Dead,” Mr. Cheung repeated with a firm nod. “We are other, so we are dangerous.”
Tim began to cry, tears silently streaming down his face. Veronica pulled him into a hug with a sniffle. Bernie had gone ash-white, as if the fact that he’d be murdered had never occurred to him. As if he’d never allowed it to occur to him.
“No one is coming for us,” Lottie told them. She tried to say it with all the compassion she could, but it still came out pretty stern. “Veronica has been here three months, and no one has come. Even as more and more people were taken off the streets, no one has come. We have to save ourselves. There’s only us,” she continued desperately as she watched the hope leave their eyes. “We need to get ourselves out of here. We can do it together.”
Mr. Cheung reached out to put his hand on her shoulder again. “You’d have a better chance of getting out and getting help, wouldn’t you?”
“That stopped being an option the minute I came through the vent,” Lottie told him, frowning when his grip tightened in distress. “It’s too late. I’ve wasted too much time.”
“We’ll just slow you down,” Bernie said, lifting his hand to pick at the device around his wrist.
Lottie blinked at him, then reached out, taking his arm into her hands like it was made of porcelain. She leaned down. Closed her sharpening teeth around the device.
Jaguars had a bite force of fifteen hundred pounds per square inch. It snapped under the pressure of her jaw like a twig. The worst she got was a spark of electricity and the taste of sour Gameboy cartridge.
“…Noooo, I did not like that at all,” Bernie whispered, looking at his now-bare arm.
Veronica jumped to her feet, holding her wrist out. “Me next! Do me!”
“Okay,” Lottie said, reaching out to take her arm and hold it still.
She bit through Veronica’s easily, and then Tim’s, when he shyly held his arm out. Mr. Cheung went last, and Lottie hesitated in putting her teeth close to his papery skin. He just patted her on the head though, gave a little nod, and didn’t even flinch when one of the wires scratched him.
“Charlotte,” Mr. Cheung said as she carefully ran her tongue over the cut to stop the bleeding. “You do understand… this is just one door.” When she looked up at him, confused, he nodded toward the hallway. “I counted three other doors from the corner of the cell, peering out. That was only what I could see. Who knows how many mutants are being held prisoner here.”
“I have an idea,” Lottie admitted, thinking back to the chat rooms and missing persons reports she’d been poring over with Natasha before she’d been snatched off the street. She nodded once, sharply. “We’ll open every door, then.”
“We’ll slow you down,” Bernie said again, but he sounded resigned this time.
“I’ll make up the difference,” Mr. Cheung said, rubbing his wrist where the power-dampening bracelet had been.
Everyone looked at him, surprised. “What’s your power, Mr. Cheung?” Veronica asked.
“I make electronics stop working when I touch them,” he answered simply. “I can go ahead of everyone and take the bracelets off the other prisoners.” He smiled. “I’m sure some won’t need to wait for little Charlotte to come tear the door off for them.”
“Great! It’s a plan,” Lottie said, clapping her hands together.
“It’s the start of a plan,” Bernie cut in.
“It’s all we’ve got time for,” Lottie replied, beginning to pull the shirt he’d lent her off. She handed it back to him. “Thanks for the modesty. I don’t have any.”
Bernie coughed, trying to make the way he immediately looked away from her body casual and failing. “Yeah, I get that now.”
Lottie smiled a little, amused, then turned back to the door, rubbing her hands together. “Okay. Here we go.” She paused, then let out a little sigh. “If shooting starts, get behind me. I’m a bigger target. My body will protect you.”
“Charlotte,” Mr. Cheung began, voice sharp, but Lottie was already shifting, orange-and-white paws wrapping around the bars of the door. She ripped it off in one swift movement.
Alarms started going off after she’d ripped off three more, but she wasn’t going to let that stop her.

Fluttering Machinery | Robot! Sunghoon AU
Tumblr media
Genre: Fluff, mild angst
Pairings: Robot! Sunghoon x Reader
Warnings: Character death, little suggestive content
Synopsis: Sunghoon was a humanoid built by your father, with the sole purpose of taking care of you once he passes away. But it seems like taking care of you came with discovering emotions that wasn't necessary for cooking, cleaning, and keeping you safe. What is this warm fuzzy feeling that resonates deep inside Sunghoon's mechanism?
It's been months. 6 dreadful months since your father has passed away. The doctors have warned you that he didn't have much time left, but that didn't make the goodbyes hurt any less.
You were 4 years old when your mom left you and your father for another guy. A more successful guy. Your father was bright, with an insatiable hunger for discovery and invention. But his field of work didn't always bring food to the table. And so on most days you had to, well, compromise.
But you loved your father so much, and still do. Although you didn't grow up to be a scientist like him, you knew the basics on automation and robotics. You were 11 years old when you first saw it, the humanoid that he worked on for years came to life before your own very eyes.
He had no skin nor face that made him look human yet. Just a chunk of metal with a head, arms and legs that moved mechanically. Nevertheless, you will never forget the joy and pride in your fathers' face as he watched his creation. The humanoid was a work in progress and you knew one day he's going to change the world. Unbeknownst to you, he was going to change your world.
And now here you are, years into the present as you stood infront of the humanoid who had his eyes shut. Yep, he's a he now. He is Humanoid SH-1282. Your father made him for the purpose of serving the community, to help people. But when he discovered his illness, he started making alterations to his design. He made SH-1282 to serve as the perfect companion, but only to you.
He filled the humanoid's hard drive with everything that he'll need to help you and take care of you. He input cooking, cleaning, and even martial arts. You sighed, remembering your father's last words.
"I'm gonna leave him in your care now, err leave you in his care or whatever. Take good care of each other okay? I love you both so much."
You were such a crybaby, holding on to your father's arm as the nurses were ushering you to wait outside because the doctors are about to perform surgery.
"You'll be okay." Your father mouthed as he smiled knowingly in content.
You reach for the humanoid's neck to find the power button, finally deciding to activate him after holding it off for months.
You held your breath as his eyes open, immediately scanning his surroundings. His eyes land on you, a smile forms on his lips.
"Hi, I'm SH-1282. It's nice to finally meet you, Y/N." He said naturally, offering his hand. If you didn't know any better, you would think he was a normal boy.
You let out a shaky breath as you accept his hand. He frowns, it seems like he is studying your facial expression and posture.
"You seem like you are in distress. Are you alright?" He asks in concern.
"Yeah, I am." You reply weakly.
"Will a hug improve your mood?" He asks. He was programmed to know about the benefits of physical intimacy, but he was also programmed to know consent and so he will not do anything unless you want to.
You contemplated, biting your lip.
"No, thank you." He simply nods, stepping out of his charging port.
"Will you show me around the house?" He asks and you nod.
"Damn this feels so awkward." You think to yourself.
"So here's the living room." You say as SH-1282 takes a good look around the area, his eyes falling to the dirty coffee table with tons of papers stacked messily. The couch looked greasy, with breadcrumbs stuck to the sides of the couch cushions. He scrunches his nose, involuntarily adding a new emotion to his database: disgust.
And as you led him to the kitchen, this emotion intensifies as he sees the containers of Chinese takeouts and cup ramen littered around the counter. He walks to the fridge and finds it empty except for a carton of milk that you put into your cereal for breakfast.
This awakens another emotion for the humanoid, frustration. He pinches the bridge of his nose as he contemplates on what to do with the mess, aka you.
"This won't do. You have been living unhealthily which may reduce your chances of living a long life."
You scoff, "Excuse me?" He gives you a dead stare, an eyebrow raised.
"No, excuse me while I clean up all this. I'll leave you to your own devices, thank you for showing me around today." He says sassily as he goes to find where you hide your cleaning utensils. You stood there dumbfounded.
"Unbelievable." But you let him be anyway. He wasn't wrong, you've been a total mess this past few months but that was all because of the grief. You basically had no family now.
And so for the rest of the day, you lock yourself in your room and do homework. About 5pm, you hear a soft knock at your door.
"Hello, it's me. Can you spare me a minute? I have something to ask of you." You inwardly groan, not really wanting to face the humanoid.
"Can you accompany me to get groceries? I swear this will only happen one time. It is only because I am not yet accustomed to my location. But after I mentally note the directions, you won't have to come with me next time." He didn't really want to bother you, but he knew that going out by himself and getting lost will be much more bothersome for you.
"Sure thing, just let me change into— oh no, you have no other clothes. It's kinda chilly outside today." You mentally facepalm yourself. Why didn't I go shopping for men clothes first before activating him?
"That is fine, I am immune to any temperature." He says as-a-matter-of-fact. You roll your eyes.
"I know that but people will probably get suspicious to see a man walking around in a shirt and jeans when everybody else has coats on. We need you to fit in as much as possible."
You search for your father's old coat that you refused to throw away even months after he's passed.
"Sorry dad, but he kinda needs this right now." And so you dress the humanoid in your oversized university sweatshirt (which surprisingly fits him perfectly) and your father's old coat.
"How do I look? Will I fit in now?" He asks as he scans his appearance in the mirror.
"You look—" absolutely breathtaking. You had every urge to slap yourself. Your father really didn't play around when he made the humanoid's face. He could pass up as an idol. And the cute little mole on his nose was a good addition to his features that made him even more realistic.
"Great. People won't suspect a thing."
The two of you head out. Contrary to your expectations that he would marvel at everything he sees outside, he just casually looks around. You ride the bus together, and the humanoid processes everything that you do, noting how everything works.
What caught you by surprise though, is how he immediately stands up in instinct to let an old lady sit down in his place. He sure was programmed with manners and chivalry. You smiled at the thought.
You made your way inside the grocery store, only intended to grab a basket but the humanoid insisted on a push cart.
"We have so much to buy, I've taken a mental note of everything we'll need." You simply roll your eyes and let him push the cart around as you wandered behind him. You look around as he reads the nutritional facts of every single thing he sees.
"This is definitely going to take a while." You muttered.
"Y/N? Is that you?" A voice squealed. You hissed and attempted to turn away, pretending you didn't see her. The humanoid saw how you reacted and swiftly rushed to your side in a protective stance. The stranger eyes the humanoid, her eyes sparkling at the sight of such a gorgeous man.
"Why hello there. Y/N you didn't tell me you've been busy with your boyfriend, we haven't hung out in a while." Both of your eyes widened at the misunderstanding.
"Oh, no he's not— we aren't—" You tried to explain but she just laughed out loud.
"Look how flustered you are. You know what, it's okay. But we have a lot of catching up to do!" She said, squishing your cheeks in a playful manner.
"So what's your name, handsome stranger?" She asks, turning to the confused humanoid.
"I'm S—"
"Sunghoon! His name is Sunghoon." You blurted out. Sunghoon was the name of your childhood crush when you were like 7 but that'll have to do. Unfortunately, it seems that the humanoid got even more confused.
"I am Y/N's—"
"Neighbor. He lives next door to my apartment. I was just showing him around because he just recently moved into the city." You say quickly. She can't know that you're living with a guy. Even if said guy wasn't human.
"Awww how sweet of you to go shopping with your neighbor." She said, winking at you. She's definitely not convinced.
"I'm Yeonmi, Y/N's friend." She introduced, offering her hand to Sunghoon. He took her hand reluctantly.
"You mean my super obnoxious friend." You roll your eyes.
"Shut up, you love me." She teased. Admittedly, you've been avoiding her for months now. Ever since your father passed, it was as if you didn't want to deal with anyone anymore, with the fear of being left behind again. So you shut everyone out. You know it was a very selfish move and must've made everyone worry, but you have yet to figure out how to fix things back to how it is.
You said your goodbyes not without a long, tight hug from Yeonmi and Sunghoon noticed from his scanners how your vitals greatly improved from it. This made him feel another new emotion: relief. He was very thankful for your friend who made you feel better.
You continue venturing down the aisle of food, and you find the humanoid smiling to himself. He notices your attention on him and he shakes his head, as if shrugging his thoughts off.
"What?" You asked.
"You gave me a name. Although I'm unsure if it is necessary, thank you." He says genuinely as he smiles at you, your heart skipping a beat.
"You're welcome, Sunghoon." You smiled back.
He picked up lots of fruits and vegetables, with you whining the whole time. Your whines unlocked another emotion of his; annoyance.
"No wonder her father thought she is in need of taking care of, she acts like a child." He concludes, running his fingers through his hair as he lets you get an ice cream of your choice. Oddly, seeing a bright smile on your face as you show him what flavor you got seems to put him at ease.
The two of you got home at dawn, with quickly stacking up the groceries into the cabinets and fridge, with you slumping down on the now squeaky clean couch.
It had been quite a long day and you found yourself dozing off. You woke up from the light tap on your shoulder, eyes fixating on Sunghoon with your apron wrapped around his torso.
"I could get used to this." You thought, admiring how adorable the humanoid looked but quickly pushing the thoughts away.
"Sorry to wake you, it's time for dinner." He announces and you lazily nodded, not before yawning and stretching your arms.
"Uhh, what is this?" You asked, eyeing your plate.
"It's your dinner." He says nonchalantly, expecting you to start eating. Your face shows utter disgust at the plate of vegetables.
"Please don't make me eat that." You begged. Sunghoon rolls his eyes; a trait he adapted from spending just a day with you.
"Don't be dramatic, vegetables are good for you." He states, taking the plate from you and attempting to feed you.
"Come on, say ah." He says playfully. After realizing how much you acted like a child, he researched on how to take care of children and downloaded it into his database. You scrunch your nose, leaning away from the food and shooting him a glare.
"Sunghoon, I'm not a kid." You deadpanned.
"Oh, but you won't get your ice cream if you don't eat this." He says, pouting at you teasingly. He's really good at this. With a sigh, you open wide and allow him to feed you.
"Yep, definitely a kid." He thinks to himself as he smiles in satisfaction, another emotion unlocked.
That night, you decided to move his charging port (with his help) from the lab into the spare room of the apartment.
"You know, I'm completely okay with staying at the lab." He reasoned but you quickly hush him.
"Nope. That is no way to treat a person. You deserve your own room, okay? A room that you can fill with your own stuff and decorate with your own preferences. End of discussion." You sassed as you fix his charging port into place. Sunghoon blinked at you, unable to express how grateful he is of how kind you are to him.
"She wants to treat me like a real human being." He thinks, his mechanical heart overwhelmed with gratitude.
Days went on with a routine, with him cleaning all day and you attending online classes. There were occasional bumps in the road, with you getting annoyed with how much of a neat freak he is and him getting irritated with how lazy you are at taking care of yourself. You've also taught him how to watch tv, deciding not to let him use the internet yet because he might gain too much unnecessary information online.
And so on a saturday night, you sat together on the couch as you watched figure skating competitions. Sunghoon was at complete awe the whole time, studying how the skaters moved through the ice.
"I want to skate too." He states absentmindedly, attention still on the television. You smiled, thinking how it was the first time he actually said he wanted something.
"Then let's do it, let's go skating tomorrow." You say, his head immediately shot to you.
"What, really?" Sunghoon asks in disbelief, his eyes widening.
"Yes, really. Although I'm warning you, I don't know how to skate." You laughed, with him chuckling as well.
"Then we'll learn together." He promises.
What a total lie that is. He didn't need to learn, as you watched him move swiftly against the ice, the wind in his hair as he circled around, his focused eyes twinkling in the fairy lights. He looked ethereal. You could have sworn there were tears there as you cheered him on like a proud momma. Ah, they grew up so fast.
People at the park also stopped to watch Sunghoon, whispering about how talented the young man is. His eyes caught yours, and you weren't sure if you were seeing things but you thought you saw him send you a wink and smile.
"The TV been teaching him things." You muttered, blushing but not from the cold. Sunghoon skates towards you, pulling you with him. You're eyes widened in fear.
"N-no Sunghoon I can't—" but he was already leading you through the ice, eyes never leaving yours.
"You can." He whispers, taking you by the waist as he spun you around. You giddily laughed as you threw your arms out, savouring the chilly air. You didn't even notice the people watching and cooing at you as some joined in as well.
That night, Sunghoon felt something he never felt before, and you in a long time. You felt happy.
"Say aaaah~" Sunghoon said as he fed you chicken soup. You caught a cold from skating yesterday and now you're wrapped in a super cozy blanket with Sunghoon worrying about you.
"You know I can feed myself right?" You said, swallowing the food.
"I know, but I just feel responsible because I was the one who wanted to skate. You got sick because of me, and that kinda defeats my purpose because I'm supposed to be keeping you healthy." He rambled. You roll your eyes at him.
"Colds are normal, okay? Besides, I haven't had that much fun in a while. Thank you for that, Sunghoon." You say, reaching up to tussle his hair playfully. He froze, cogs in his mind unable to process as something inside him stirred, but in a pleasant way.
--
"So you dance while rubbing your body on a stranger?" Sunghoon questions, but he's not sure if he wants to know the answer. Tonight, you wore a simple black dress that teasingly showed a little bit of cleavage and a decent length of fabric that hugged tightly around your upper thighs but had a daringly high slit. Sunghoon approves and disapproves at the same time.
"Yeah, it's kinda like that. But don't worry, I won't be doing that. I'll just stay by the bar the whole time." You reassured as you struggled to put on your strappy heels. Sunghoon kneels down infront of you and helps you clasp the straps around your ankles, handling it very delicately. Your heart thumps as he looks up at you.
"Are you sure you don't want me to accompany you?" He asks for the fifth time as he follows you around the house like a puppy. You sigh, actually considering it. Although it was supposed to be a girl's night according to Yeonmi, you thought maybe having Sunghoon tag along wouldn't do harm.
But it did. It did harm to you, alright. And you wanted to harm those girls who kept on grinding their asses onto Sunghoon as slow, sexy music played. You were fuming, regretting dressing Sunghoon in such fashion that screamed big D energy. Why am I being so possessive? But then again, Sunghoon does look uncomfortable. I should go save him. Yeah, I'll do that.
"Hold my drink." You tell Yeonmi as you made your way to Sunghoon.
"You go girl! Get your man!" Yeonmi cheered drunkly.
Your train of thoughts were blurred by the alcohol as you struggled to walk straight. You had only one clear thought in mind: Sunghoon. I need to get to Sunghoon.
Sunghoon stood uncomfortably, eyeing the girls who rubbed their bossoms and derriere all over him. Is this supposed to be fun? He thinks innocently. He sees you walking towards him, swaying your hips side by side as you strode towards him like a predator.
Girls hovering around him going unnoticed as you were the only one he could see.
Stunning, beautiful. He thought.
"Hey handsome, care to dance?" You asked, pulling him to you before he could even answer. The girls spat at you, telling you to 'get in line' but you just shot them a smug look.
"Sorry ladies." Sunghoon apologized, but his smile told otherwise as he let you pull him away from them.
"You don't know how badly I wanted to get away from—" He froze in his spot as you wrap your arms around his neck, inching closer than ever before. You felt bold, but maybe that was just the alcohol in your system. And as you started moving your body against Sunghoon, you knew it wasn't just you who felt the heat. His large palms go down south, resting on your swaying hips as both of you moved to the sultry rhythm.
His mechanism was going nuts, threatening to malfunction as his sensors detected your very close proximity to him. Whatever you were playing, it was dangerous. But Sunghoon couldn't help but to want more, to desire more.
"Y/N." He whispers, and you look up at him with half lidded eyes. And damn did he find you so sexy right there, under the strobe lights. No girl in the club could ever compare.
"Home?" You suggested.
"Home." He agrees.
As you got in the cab, you immediately find yourself half straddling Sunghoon's lap as you attempt to kiss him. Luckily, Sunghoon can think clearer now and concludes that a drunk Y/N is a very horny Y/N. And though the thought that it was only the alcohol that made you want him made him feel sad, he knew it was wrong to demand such things from you.
And so with your futile attempts to get into his pants, he gently lays your head on his shoulder and hugs you to keep you still. But even that couldn't stop you from squirming to get away from his hold, trying to get some action. He chuckles as he held your hand tightly in his to prevent it from landing into his crotch.
"Now now, you have to stay put. I won't be taking advantage of your state." He scolds gently. And by the time the cab had stopped in front of the building of your apartment, you were fast asleep in Sunghoon's arms.
Times like these were when Sunghoon is glad he was made of aluminum. He scooped you up in his arms like a pillow as he walked up to your apartment. You snuggled up into his chest, looking so innocent as you soaked up his warmth. Sunghoon cooed about how adorable you are, talking to you in your sleep.
He placed you delicately on your bed, contemplating whether to change your clothes or not. He decided not to, noting how your privacy is important to you. You're too drunk and asleep to give him permission right now anyway. He took off your heels and wiped your makeup off very gently, and tucked you in properly.
Long minutes pass as he studies your face, stroking your hair softly as the corners of his mouth lift up unconsciously. He really loves taking care of you. He loves you.
This realization hits him like a truck of overwhelming emotions, but it all makes sense to him now.
"I love you, Y/N." He whispers, leaving a soft kiss on your forehead before retiring to his own room.

The moment they realized they loved you. (Isekai Au Edition) Part 1
Because this was my first time doing this I went a little crazy. If you want more information on this AU here is the Link!
Time:
- It had been welcomed with open arms.
- You two are literally the opposite but also very similar. Time is calm and stoic. You are chaotic and loud. But both of you are very cryptic.
- You’re the only person in the kingdom of hyrule currently that remembers what he had gone through. He feels like he can trust you with anything.
- It’s started with a slip up by wind and just spiraled out of control.
___________________________________
Time was discussing the groups inventory with Twilight and Wild when it happens. A small slip of the tongue followed by a laughter that could be mistaken as a fairy chime. He looked over to see your bright smile shining through under your hood. In front of you was the target of your amusement, the youngest link.
“That’s so cute!” You exclaimed to the horror of Wind, who was red in embarrassment. “Wait who’s dad?”
“Can we let this go?” The teen was covering his face now.
“It’s Time.” Four said without looking up from his book. Utter chaos broke loose in camp with just a few words. A chorus of any forms of agreement was making you laugh even harder. Time though covering up his true feelings about the situation was very lost. While yes, he acknowledged that he had slowly became the father figure of the group. That title didn’t involve you.
Unless…
“Time! I didn’t know we were married!” You bounced over to their leader looking at him with a playful smirk.
A life with you flashes in his head.
There could be a small cottage farm surrounded by the forest that reminding him of his old family and home. You could take care of the garden while he could take care the animals. In a few years the two of you might just have a few kids running around. Playing with each other without a care in the world. No more fighting. No more traveling. Just a simple lifestyle with a tight knit family. It looked peaceful. Everything he would want.
“You should have told me.” He was brought back to the present by your face looking up at him expectedly.
“I thought you knew.” He said super seriously. “We’ve got to raise nine children together already.”
“Hey! I raised you during the war old man!” Warriors called out from across camp.
“You’re the uncle then!” (Y/n) countered “I already say Twilight is our first born!” You declared pointing to Time’s flustered descendent. The rest of the conversation was tuned out as he went back to his thoughts once more.
Time lived longer than most of the heroes here by age 11. Yet not once did he stop to think about a future and family. He was so busy trying to keep out of hero work that it just slipped. Yet see you with the other heroes, knowing now that you were just as much a parental figure to the others as him. It made his softer just thinking about it and he welcomed that warm fuzzy feeling with open arms.
Reaching out he brush’s hair out of your face to kiss your temple. “I’ll propose to you properly later.” He said in a teasing tone to suggest he was only joking to hide the truth in that statement. Seeing your entire face flush red was really worth it.
“Gross Mom and Dad are flirting!”
___________________________________
- He’ll never once tell you straight if he liked you or was just playing along with the ongoing joke that the chain has.
- This time instead of you observing him. He wants to see how far he can go until confessing.
- It drives you crazy. Since you can’t get a read on him. You attempt to flirt back in retaliation. However, it always ends with you being the most flustered.
- Who knew the Old Man had it in him?
Twilight:
- It became a melancholic hopeless feeling that spiral out of control.
- He already had his heartbroken by someone before and he knows he shouldn’t get attached to you too.
- Yet he can’t stop himself from wanting to be near you. He heard you so clearly before.
- Now that he can actually speak to you directly, he wants to get to know his other travel companion more.
___________________________________
Being alone in the forest with you wasn’t what Twilight planned when dropped in a different Hyrule but here you two where. You offered to go on patrol with him when the others were setting up camp claiming it was too see if you could identify the era. It didn’t matter since Twilight enjoyed your company no matter what. The lack of conversation between the two of you didn’t bother him. If anything, it felt the most natural. Only a few words were needed for the two of you to understand each other. “Do you mind if I use my wolf form?” Twilight asked fiddling with the chain that attached to the shadow crystal around his neck.
You paused to think about it. “I mean you can. But be aware I will baby talk you.”
This got Twilight to stop walking. Maybe he lied. He doesn’t need a few words to understand your thought process. “Excuse me?”
“I can’t control myself around cute creatures.” You simply stated like it was the most obvious thing.
Instead, Twilight was burning up. You thought his wolf form was cute? Of all things you used that word? What did you think of human Twilight if you thought like that? Did he want to even know? He was searching for any way to take this conversation but it all lead to dead ends. “Cute?” Was all he could ask. His voice pitching up as he got flustered.
“Yeah?” You looked at him just as confused as he was. “Wolves are just like big dogs and to be honest you look more like a giant dog then a wolf.” Your explanation did not help at all with his situation. “If it makes you feel better you’re very handsome as a Hylian and also built like an go-“
Twilights brain was malfunctioning he couldn’t hear any more of what you had to say about him. He grabbed on to the shadow crystal, turning into his wolf form he ran. He didn’t hear you call out his name in surprise.
Hylia, what was wrong with him? You were just a friend. A very blunt yet gentle friend. Nothing more. Nothing less. Why was his heart racing so much? He had heard you shower him in complements before while on his first adventure. But hearing you say it to his face with no shame whatsoever was a different story.
Twilight knew what these feelings were and deep down he really wanted to act on them. But was it ok? Was his heart finally healing from his last love? Twilight was already aware this time that you had to leave at some point. He didn’t need to act on them despite wanting to. He could just be your friend and continue the relationship like that.
His heart was already breaking a second time.
Twilight was in love you and it was driving him crazy.
___________________________________
- Like Time, Twilight isn’t going to tell you about his feelings. Instead, he is going to forever pine for you.
- It’s going to be a slow process and you need to be aware that he will get hurt if you’re going to go back home.
- He’ll see you off with a smile, but as soon as your gone he will break.
Warriors:
- It was full of denial and fear.
- He went through the receiving end of someone’s obsessive love.
- And it doesn’t help that you’ve watched over their adventures. He vowed to not get that close to you.
- There was a need to destroy the endearing feeling he sees when you smile at him.
- Yet seeing you with a sad far out look on your face makes him scramble to your side to find out what’s wrong.
___________________________________
It was just the two of you. Weaving throughout the crowds of castle town. You were currently in Four’s Era and in the middle of the Picori festival. The group was long spilt up, leaving Warriors alone with the dimensional traveler. Soon even (Y/n) was walking away from him. He didn’t know why he followed, the argument in his head was telling him that it was so they didn’t get lost. Yet there was a part of him that knew that wasn’t it.
“Where are you going anyway?” He thought to finally ask as you reached a quieter area. “It’s going to be hard to spend time in the festival from here.”
“Yeah, that’s the point.” You were a bit snappy today, “shouldn’t you find someone else to hang out with?” Warriors just shrugged as you slowed your pace down to pause in front of the small river that ran through castle town. The silence now filled with the rushing of water as you sat on the bridge.
Against his better judgement Warriors sat next to you. Finally, he got to talk to you one on one but the normally impulsive and excitable person Warrior’s grew to expect had changed in that moment.
You looked so tired.
“Hey Link?” You finally called out to him “I know I shouldn’t ask you this but…” hesitation was new to your character. “How do I even start?” You rake a hand through your hair. Sweeping a part of your hair out of your eyes. “Was I ever helpful during your Adventure?”
Oh… Oh he really wasn’t the right person for this talk.
You look back you and towards the festival and he followed your gaze. From where they were he could only spot a few of his party members. Wind was with Legend and Hyrule playing some of the stall games. While Four was with his Zelda holding hands as she pulled him further into the crowd. “Last time I saw this festival it ended up destroyed by Vaati.” The wind mage was only brought up a few times by Four. All Warriors really knew was that the villain was supposed to be sealed away by the Four Sword, and that his power was connected by the dark mirror. “I found myself wondering if my presence even mattered.” Your shoulder slumped in defeat as you curled into yourself.
The instant need to comfort shot through Warriors. He wanted to reach out. He fought the urge to hold you. He bites his tongue when he started to think of embellished words to make you feel better.
What was wrong with him?
Warriors had to say something though. “I don’t know about Four or the others.” He didn’t even think about your presence in his adventure too much. If anything, he actively tried not to think about it. Here you were though a person and not a figment of in his imagination. “During the war, your voice and presence is what broke the tension. The moments that could have been my lowest, you were there saying things that I wanted to repeat out loud.” There was a fondness while he was looking back at the memories. From the moment he ran on the battle field foolishly as a trainee soldier. His pride grew upon hearing your praise and surprise when seeing him fight for the first time. To your excitement while meeting his friends from the other Eras. He shared your sentiments about Mask as you cooed over the child as Warriors fought by his side. Then your anger, disgust and pity towards Cia. While on his side, your empathetic nature had you morning during her passing. These where just the tip of the iceberg.
Just having someone voice out mutual thoughts on a situation helps when you can’t do it on your own. You feel crazy thinking the way you do. “With you there it’s like you always have someone by your side cheering you on and supporting you.” He paused to look at you. Conflicting emotions clashing together. You turn to look at him, your eyes only briefly visible through your bangs. Curiosity and guilt were swarming with in them. “I’m not the person to talk to about this.” He finally admitted out loud. “But I would be lying if I said your presence wasn’t important to us.”
The silence that followed was deafening. Was that not what he was supposed to say? Warriors tried to stay calm under your gaze.
You let out a huff of laughter covering your mouth and turning away from him a bit to calm down. “I didn’t think about it like that.” There was a pause where you looked back at the festive before turning back to smiling softly at him. “Thanks Cap.”
The smile that you had on your lips had Warriors stomach do back flips. A blush decorated his face as he turns away. “It’s something that should have been said a while ago.” He manages to say without stuttering.
You were really pretty.
The sound of a picto box followed by winds snickering, was ignored when the thought had just register in his head. He finally realized how far he fell for you.
___________________________________
- one by one his defenses lowered.
- With every smiled sent his way, with every laugh that he earned. He found himself wanting more.
- He slowly opens up, a slow process but it wasn’t as scary as he thought it was going to be.
- A teasing nickname here. A gentle touch there. He realizes he has gone too far.

You tap your fingernails against the porcelain sink as your phone counts down from five minutes. Each second seems slower than the last and at this point, four minutes and 52 seconds, you’re ready to throw your phone across the room.
“What does it say?” Osamu asks through the door. You want to scream.
“Nothing. It doesn’t say anything yet,” you snap. You take a deep breath and continue. “It takes five minutes. Four and a half minutes left.”
“Can I come in?” He asks, softly.
You hesitate before slowly unlocking the door and letting him in.
The already small bathroom feels that much smaller with Osamu’s large frame in it. You try not to feel claustrophobic as Osamu grabs your hand.
“It’s all going to be okay, no matter what the test says,” he says.
You’re overcome with the urge to laugh, cry, and scream all at once. Of course he thinks it’ll all be okay, he’s not the one possibly pregnant with his step-father’s baby.
Three minutes and 48 seconds.
Your mother was going to be crushed. Her only child, knocked up at eighteen by none other than her step-father.
You bite your lip to hold back tears as you think of your mother.
“What’s the matter, sweetheart?” Osamu asks, pulling you into a tight hug. You want to cringe at his touch but your body instinctively relaxes in his hold.
“Mom…” you say, “she’s going to be crushed.”
“And what about ya? How do ya feel?” He asks.
“Sick,” you answer shortly. “Anxious. Like I’m going to throw up any second now. How could I do this to her?”
Osamu doesn’t respond, just continues to rub your back as the seconds count down.
Your heart stops when your timer goes off.
“It’s ready,” you say, pulling away from Osamu. You grab the pregnancy test and take a deep breath before glancing down at it.
Positive.
You drop the test like it’s bit you. Oh god, it’s positive. You’re pregnant with Osamu’s child.
Osamu picks the test up right as you shove past him to vomit into the toilet.
“Yer pregnant,” he says. You gag. “We’re going to have a baby.”
You wipe your mouth on your sleeve and look at him. His eyes are glossy and his lips are stretched into the happiest smile you’ve ever seen. It makes you want to vomit again.
“Why are you smiling?” You demand. Your throat burns as the acid in your stomach threatens to come up.
“I’m going to have a baby,” he says, grabbing your shoulders. “I’m going to be a father.”
You want to attack him.
“How could you be happy about this?” You hiss. “This is terrible. I don’t want this.”
“That’s not what ya were sayin’ when I was balls deep in yer cunt last night,” Osamu says. “Or any night, for that matter.”
“Do you not care at all what my mom is going to say?” You demand. “Have you thought for one second about anything but yourself? You’re my step-father, for fuck’s sake!”
“That hasn’t stopped ya before,” Osamu says. “I don’t care about that. I care about you and this baby. Our baby.”
Your face softens at his words. “Other people care. My mom’s going to care. She’ll go crazy when we tell her. What if she calls the cops? What are we going to do?”
“What we do isn’t illegal,” Osamu says. “Immoral, maybe. But not illegal.”
“She’s going to hate me,” you whimper. Osamu sighs and pulls you into his chest tightly.
“What do ya want, sweetheart?” He asks, softly. “Daddy has to know what ya want so he can get it for ya.”
“You. I want you,” you say. Osamu squeezes you lightly. “I just want to be with you all the time, daddy.”
“Ya know daddy can’t say no to ya, baby girl,” he says. “We’ll tell yer mom tonight, okay?”
“Everything?” You ask, looking up at him. He nods. “She’ll kick us out. Let’s just tell her I’m pregnant, not everything yet. Let’s just wait.”
“Whatever ya want, baby girl,” Osamu says. “Ya just tell her yer pregnant and I’ll support ya if she gets mad.”
“I need to lay down,” you mumble, pulling away from him. Osamu carefully leads you to your bed, helping you down slowly.
“Can we cuddle, please?” You ask softly.
“Do you want me to make you something to eat first, sweetheart?” He asks. You shake your head.
“Jus’ wan’ you t’ hold me,” you say through a yawn. “Wan’ daddy.”
“Of course, baby,” Osamu says. You move over to make room for his large frame in your small bed. “Daddy’s got you.” He wraps strong arms around you and presses a kiss to your forehead as he holds you tightly.
Your mom comes home to you and Osamu on the couch, you with your head casually in Osamu’s lap as he combed his fingers through your hair. This wasn’t an uncommon sight, and your mom went straight into telling the two of you about her day.
“This patient was crazy, literally! He’s outside smoking a cigarette, meanwhile his blood sugar is through the roof! Like, this man is dead, he just doesn’t know it yet!” Your mom exclaims, slamming the door behind her.
“Hey, mom,” you greet, sitting upright. “Dinner’s ready whenever you want to eat.”
“We decided to wait on ya tonight,” Osamu added, standing up with a stretch.
“You two are too sweet,” she says, smiling widely. “You didn’t have to wait for me, you know I’m okay eating alone.”
“Well, I have some big news for after dinner, so I convinced Daddy to wait,” you say.
“Ooo, sounds exciting! Well, let’s eat so you can share your news!” Your mom says, excitedly.
The table is already set perfectly, plates of your mom’s favourites filling empty spaces and a bottle of her favourite wine in the center.
“Goodness! All my favourites? Y/n, you’re not trying to butter me up, are you? I’d almost think you were going to tell me you’re pregnant or something,” she says, taking a seat.
You and Osamu both let out forced laughter as you join her.
“It’s just what you deserve, Mom,” you say.
“Well, thank you, sweet pea,” she says, beaming at you. “And thank you, too, Osamu. I’m sure you cooked most of this.”
“It’s no problem,” Osamu says. “Let’s eat, yeah?”
“Itadakimasu.”
The three of you fill your plates and glasses, you pointedly turning down the wine your mom offers you. She gives you a look, but doesn’t say anything.
“So, what’s the news?” Your mom asks as she finishes her last onigiri.
You glance at Osamu.
“Mom, I’m pregnant,” you say.
“Pregnant?” Your mom asks. “Goodness, I-I need a minute.”
She steps out the back door, sliding the door shut behind her.
Osamu looks over at you. “Are you okay, sweetheart?” He asks. You nod.
“She’s handling it better than I thought,” you say. “I thought I’d be packing my bag right about now. I think I’m going to step outside with her.”
Osamu kisses your forehead before letting you walk out the back door.
Your mom is sitting on the porch swing, face in her hands.
“Mom?” You call. When she looks up, you can tell she’s been crying.
“How did this happen?” She asks.
“Didn’t think I’d have to explain the birds and the bees to you, Mom,” you tease, halfheartedly.
“Do you have some secret boyfriend I don’t know about?” She asks, ignoring you.
“It was just some dumb, one night stand,” you say, sitting next to her. “Hell, I can barely remember the guy’s face.”
The lies slip off your tongue easier than they would’ve before you and Osamu became involved. You think of every night you’d said you were staying with friends when you were really in some cheap motel with Osamu and wince.
“What’s his name?” Your mom asks.
“Does it matter?” You ask. “He won’t be involved at all.”
“Do you even know his name? God, I didn’t think you’d be so dumb,” your mom says. Her words hit like a punch to the gut.
“It was…” you hesitate. “It was a mistake.” As if anything you and Osamu had done was a mistake. The words taste like bile in your throat. “A dumb mistake.”
“We taught you better than to just sleep with random people. Or at least, I thought we did,” she spits. “At least let me know the name.”
“I’m not going to apologise for being human,” you say. “And I won’t be telling you the name.”
“You’ll tell me or you’ll leave,” she says. Her threat rolls off of you like water.
“Then I’ll leave,” you say, standing up. You open the back door.
“If you leave, don’t come back!” Your mom exclaims.
“Gladly!” You shoot back. You slam the door behind you. Osamu is immediately at your side.
“I’m leaving!” You exclaim. “I should just tell her the full truth, see how she likes that! She couldn’t blame me for it, after all, I’m too dumb!”
“The full truth?” Your mom asks, sliding the door open.
You turn on your heel to face her as Osamu stands between you two, ready for a fight to break out.
“Oh, you’d fucking hate it,” you taunt, crossing your arms. “It’s dirty and perverted and so fucking good!”
“You probably got knocked up by some pervert on the streets! That’s why you won’t tell me his name, you probably don’t even know it!”
“Miya Osamu!”
All three of you freeze.
“Huh?” Your mom blinks slowly. She looks at Osamu, then at you. “The. Two. Of. You? The father?”
Your mom seems to buffer as she continuously looks between you two.
“Get out.”
“Mom, wait, I can explain,” you beg, grabbing her hands. She jerks away from you. “I didn’t mean it!”
“You’re sick,” she says, lip curling. Her face pales as she looks at Osamu. “You raised her, you bastard! From a little girl! Oh my- oh my god, she calls you ‘daddy’.” Your mom’s face turns a sickening green. “You get off on that, don’t you, you sick fuck?! My daughter!”
“Mom, it’s not like-“ She cuts you off.
“Y/n, did he force you? Has he been grooming you this whole time?” She turns to face Osamu again. “Get out of here, you motherfucker!”
“Mom, I love him!” You shout. She freezes and robotically turns towards you.
“He raised you,” she whimpers. “He’s probably been grooming you since the day you met.”
“Mom, he’s never done anything I didn’t want,” you say. “I’m the one that controls the relationship.”
“I love her, too,” Osamu says, wrapping his arm around your shoulders. “I know it’s sick, but I can’t help it.”
Your mom stays silent for a moment.
“I need you both out,” she says. “You can pack a bag but you both need to be out within the next fifteen minutes.”
“Mom, I’m sorry,” you say, wiping away a stray tear. “I never wanted to hurt you.”
“Give me time,” she says before retreating to her bedroom.
You sniffle as you wipe your face with your sleeve.
“Come on, let’s get you a bag packed. Atsumu already has his guest room set up for us. We’ll be okay, baby,” Osamu says, holding your shoulders. He kisses your forehead before leading you to your room.
Your mom doesn’t reappear until Osamu is already carrying your bag to the car.
“You’re my daughter, and I’ll always love you, Y/n,” she says, standing across the room from you. “But this isn’t something that we’ll be able to overcome. You and Osamu can get the rest of your things tomorrow while I’m at work, but I don’t want to see either of you again. Leave your keys on the table when you leave.”
“I’m sorry this happened,” you say, unable to stop your tears. “I really am, Mom. If I could change it, I would. I love you.”
“I hope you find happiness,” she says. Osamu’s hands land on your shoulders from behind and your mom’s face crumbles. “Goodbye.”
She watches you and Osamu leave the house. The lock clicks behind you as soon as the door closes.
“I wish this hadn’t happened like this,” Osamu says as he starts the car. You nod.
“I didn’t want to tell her like this,” you mumble. “She deserved the truth, but not like this.”
“I love you,” Osamu says, bringing your hand up to his lips. “I’m sorry this happened.”
“I love you,” you say, smiling sadly. “I guess I wouldn’t change it if that meant not having you.”
Atsumu’s apartment is much smaller than your mom’s house.
“There’s my favourite niece!” Atsumu exclaims, hugging you tightly and spinning you around before placing you back on the ground. “Or my favourite sister-in-law? I don’t care, yer my favourite girl.”
Despite how sad you feel, Atsumu manages to pull a genuine smile and laugh out of you.
“Uncle Tsumu!” You exclaim as Osamu passes you with your bags.
“Ah, so I still get to be Uncle,” he says, smiling. It doesn’t shock you with how nonchalantly Atsumu takes the news.
“Of course,” you say. “If Daddy still gets to be Daddy, you’re still Uncle.”
“Come on in, little one, let’s get ya out of the night air before the bugs get ya,” Atsumu says, leading you in.
Osamu already had your pajamas in hand when you walked in. After showering and changing quickly, you join the twins on the couch, squeezing in between them. Your hand ghosts over Osamu’s thigh before he grabs your hand and intertwines your fingers.
“So… I think it’s gonna to be a girl,” Atsumu says, draping his arm across your shoulders. “Any bets?”
“With our luck?” Osamu chuckles. “Twin boys.”
You rub your hand over your stomach. “I don’t really care one way or the other,” you say. “But I want twins.”
“What do ya think it’ll be?” Osamu asks.
“I think maybe one of each,” you say. “But that might just be wishful thinking.”
Atsumu let out a loud yawn.
“Well, it’s time for me to go to bed. I have practice in the morning. Help yerselves to anything in the fridge,” he says, standing up and stretching. “Let me know if ya need anything, little one.”
“Thanks for letting us stay here, Uncle Tsumu,” you say.
“Anything fer my favourite girl,” he says. He leans down and kisses your forehead. “G’night, little one.”
“Night,” Osamu says.
“Good night, Tsumu,” you say. Atsumu stumbles away with another yawn, leaving you and Osamu in the television-lit living room alone.
You climb into Osamu’s lap as soon as you hear Atsumu’s door click closed. He wraps his arms around you firmly and looks down at you.
“What do ya need, baby?” Osamu asks. “I know yer wantin’ something, baby girl.”
“I’m so tired, Daddy,” you say. You let out a small yawn. “I just want to be close to you.” You innocently shift in his hold, grinding against his soft dick. It twitches lightly.
“Ya wanna sit on Daddy’s cock, huh? Is that what ya want, sweetheart?” Osamu asks, rolling his hips. His cock hardens under you almost instantly.
“Yes, Daddy,” you moan softly. “Want your cock in me.”
“Yer such a naughty girl,” Osamu says. “Wantin’ yer daddy’s cock where Uncle Tsumu could walk in any minute.” You let out a small moan at the thought. “Oh? Ya want Uncle Tsumu to catch us? Want him to see Daddy filling up yer cute, little cunt? Or maybe you want Tsumu to fill ya up, huh, baby girl? Both of us at the same time, fillin’ both yer little holes so well.”
“Please, please,” you gasp, grinding against his thighs. “Wanna be full. So full, Daddy, please.”
“Such a little slut,” Osamu says, guiding your hips. “It’s not enough to fuck yer daddy, you wanna fuck yer uncle, too? Just tryin’ to get the whole family, huh?”
You nod. “Want Daddy and Uncle Tsumu!” You exclaim. Osamu claps a hand over your mouth.
“Uncle Tsumu is bein’ so nice t’ let us stay here and you wanna wake him up? I thought my little girl knew how to be polite,” Osamu says. Your thighs shake as a knot forms in your stomach.
“Daddy,” you whine, rolling your hips faster. “Close.”
“Is my baby gonna cum on Daddy’s thigh like a bitch in heat?” Osamu coos. “Come on, baby, cum on Daddy’s thigh like a good girl.”
“Daddy,” you moan. Osamu kisses you hard as you moan louder.
“Fuck, yer soakin’ me, sweetheart,” Osamu breathes as you cum on his thighs. You bite your lip to keep quiet. “Ya want Daddy’s cock now, sweetie?”
You nod. You stand on wobbly legs to kick your pajama shorts and panties off as Osamu pushes his shorts down just enough to reveal his heavy cock.
“Daddy, I wanna taste you,” you say, falling to your knees in front of him. “Please, Daddy, you look so good.”
“Go ahead, baby,” he says, patting your hair as you wrap your fingers around his hard cock.
You lean down to lick along the throbbing vein that runs down the left side of his cock before you take the purpling tip into your mouth.
“Fuck, good girl,” he hisses, tangling his fingers in your hair. He isn’t pushing down (yet), but his hands left no room to pull back. You circled the tip, moaning as a spurt of precum landed on your tongue.
“Come on, suck it like a good girl,” he grunts, forcing your head lower. You gag as he hits the back of your throat and Osamu lets out a long, low moan. “Might just fuck yer face since ya can’t listen.”
You place your hands on either of his thighs, signaling for him to go ahead with his plan.
“Oh, yer such a good girl for Daddy,” he groans. He holds your head in place as he thrusts into your open mouth, moaning when your throat tightens around his length.
“Fuck, so good,” he grits out. He pulls your head back and moans at the sight of your swollen lips and glassy eyes. “Tongue out.” Your jaw drops and your tongue lols out. He pats his cock against your tongue seconds before cum spurts out, landing on your lips and in your open mouth.
“Swallow for me, sweetheart,” he moans. You swallow the cum in your mouth before licking your lips for the extra that didn’t quite make it in your mouth.
“Wan’ your cock, please, Daddy,” you whine as Osamu wipes cum off your chin. He sticks his cum-coated thumb in your mouth and you suck it clean.
“Come ‘ere,” Osamu grunts, lifting you up into his lap. He slowly inched you down on his cock.
“More, Daddy, more,” you beg as he slowly bottoms out. “Fuck me.”
“Be good and sit on Daddy’s cock for a minute,” he says, wrapping his arms around you. He pulls you into his chest and rests his chin on your head.
You whine as you squirm around, trying to get Osamu to finally fuck you. He slaps your ass as you fidget.
“The more ya move, the longer we’ll stay like this,” Osamu says. “Now be good and be still.”
You pout as you relax into Osamu’s chest. It was agonising as his cock stretched you. Your walls were throbbing and fluttering around him, desperate for even the smallest movement.
“Daddy, please,” you beg, eyes burning with unshed tears. “I need you.”
Osamu presses down on your lower stomach where his cock was deep inside you. You moaned.
“Feel how deep Daddy is?” He breathes, thumb circling your clit. “Look how swollen ya look with just my cock. In a few weeks, you’ll be swollen with my baby.”
You moan. Osamu’s thumb moves faster on your clit.
“Daddy,” you whine. “I-I feel weird.”
“Hold on just a second, baby,” Osamu says. You gasp as he presses on your clit. The feeling in the pit of your stomach heightens. You almost feel like you’re going to explode.
You open your mouth to tell Osamu when he rolls his hips. You let out a loud moan as your juices squirt out, soaking Osamu’s shorts and part of his shirt.
“Fuck, look how messy ya are,” Osamu growls. You moan loudly as your pussy gushes again and you fall limp into Osamu’s chest, tears streaming down your face.
“Squirted all over Daddy like a good girl,” Osamu praises. His thumb hasn’t stopped and you still haven’t stopped cumming on his cock.
“Fuck,” Osamu growls. He grips your hips tightly and fucks into you roughly.
Your skin burns where his slaps against yours. You cry out as your head falls against his shoulder.
“So fuckin’ wet for me,” he grunts. The nasty squelching sounds only highlight his words. You moan as Osamu plays with your overstimulated clit.
“Daddy, Daddy, Daddy,” you cry as he fucks you.
“Open,” He orders. Your mouth drops open without a second thought as he shoves wet fingers down your throat. You gag as you suck on them. “Good girl.”
Tears stroll down your face as Osamu relentlessly thrusts into your cunt.
“Gonna fill yer sloppy, little, cunt up,” Osamu grunts. Your walls clench around him. “Oh, Daddy’s messy slut likes that, huh?” Your walls clench again.
“Fuck, gonna fill ya up,” he groans. His cock twitches deep inside you seconds before he cums.
“So good, daddy,” you moan as you ride him through his orgasm.
Osamu hisses once you’ve milked him dry, overstimulated and sensitive.
“How’d’ya like the show, Tsumu?” Osamu asks.
Your head jerks around to see Atsumu standing across the room, dick hard and heavy in his hands.
“Oh, it was great,” Atsumu says. “Liked that part at the beginning. Something about taking us both at the same time?”

Isn’t Everything Autobiographical?: Ethan Hawke In Nine Films And A Novel by Marya Gates
Tumblr media
When asked during his first ever on-camera interview if he’d like to continue acting, a young Ethan Hawke replied, “I don’t know if it’s going to be there, but I’d like to do it.” He then gives a guileless shrug of relief as the interview ends, wiping imaginary sweat off his brow. The simultaneous fusion of his nervous energy and poised body language will be familiar to those who’ve seen later interviews with the actor. The practicality and wisdom he exudes at such a young age would prove to be a through-line of his nearly 40-year career. In an interview many decades later, he told Ideas Tap that many children get into acting because they’re seeking attention, but those who find their calling in the craft discover that a “desire to communicate and to share and to be a part of something bigger than yourself takes over, a certain craftsmanship—and that will bring you a lot of pleasure.”
Through Hawke’s dedication to his craft, we’ve also seen his maturation as a person unfold on screen. Though none of his roles are traditionally what we think of when we think of autobiography, many of Hawke’s roles, as well as his work as a writer, suggest a sort of fictional autobiographical lineage. While these highlights in his career are not strictly autofiction, one can trace Hawke’s Künstlerromanesque trajectory from his childhood ambitions to his life now as a man dedicated to art, not greatness.
Tumblr media
Hawke’s first two films, Joe Dante’s sci-fi fantasy Explorers with River Phoenix and Peter Weir’s Dead Poets Society with Robin Williams, set the tone for a diverse filmography filled with popcorn fare and indie cinema in equal measure, but they also served as touchstones in his development as person drawn to self-expression through art. In an interview with Rolling Stone’s David Fear, Hawke spoke about the impact of these two films on him as an actor. When River Phoenix, his friend and co-star in Explorers, had his life cut short by a drug overdose, it hit Hawke personally. He saw from the inside what Hollywood was capable of doing to young people with talent. Hawke never attempted to break out, to become a star. He did the work he loved and kept the wild Hollywood lifestyle mostly at arm’s length.
Like any good film of this genre, Dead Poets Society is not just a film about characters coming of age, but a film that guides the viewer as well, if they are open to its message. Hawke’s performance as repressed schoolboy Todd in the film is mostly internal, all reactions and penetrating glances, rather than grandiose movements or speeches. Through his nervy body language and searching gaze, you can feel both how closed off to the world Todd is, and yet how willing he is to let change in. Hawke has said working on this film taught him that art has a real power, that it can affect people deeply. This ethos permeates many of the characters Hawke has inhabited in his career.
In Dead Poets Society, Mr. Keating (Robin Williams) tells the boys that we read and write poetry because the human race is full of passion. He insists, “poetry, beauty, romance, love—these are what we stay alive for.” Hawke gave a 2020 TEDTalk entitled Give Yourself Permission To Be Creative, in which he explored what it means to be creative, pushing viewers to ask themselves if they think human creativity matters. In response to his own question, he said “Most people don’t spend a lot of time thinking about poetry, right? They have a life to live and they’re not really that concerned with Allen Ginsberg’s poems, or anybody’s poems, until their father dies, they go to a funeral, you lose a child, somebody breaks your heart, they don’t love you anymore, and all of the sudden you’re desperate for making sense out of this life and ‘has anyone ever felt this bad before? How did they come out of this cloud?’ Or the inverse, something great. You meet somebody and your heart explodes. You love them so much, you can’t even see straight, you know, you’re dizzy. ‘Did anybody feel like this before? What is happening to me?’ And that’s when art is not a luxury. It’s actually sustenance. We need it.”
Tumblr media
Throughout many of his roles post-Dead Poets Society, Hawke explores the nature of creativity through his embodiment of writers and musicians. Often these characters are searching for a greater purpose through art, while ultimately finding that human connection is the key. Without that human connection, their art is nothing.
We see the first germ of this attraction to portray creative people on screen with his performance as Troy Dyer in Reality Bites. As Troy Dyer, a philosophy-spouting college dropout turned grunge-band frontman in Reality Bites, Hawke was posited as a Gen-X hero. His inability to keep a job and his musician lifestyle were held in stark contrast to Ben Stiller’s yuppie TV exec Michael Grates. However in true slacker spirit, he isn’t actually committed to the art of music, often missing rehearsals, as Lelaina points out. Troy even uses his music at one point to humiliate Lelaina, dedicating a rendition of “Add It Up” by Violent Femmes to her. The lyrics add insult to injury as earlier that day he snuck out of her room after the two had sex for the first time. Troy’s lack of commitment to his music matches his inability to commit to those relationships in his life that mean the most to him.
Tumblr media
Reality Bites is also where he first positioned himself as one of the great orators of modern cinema.” Take this early monologue, in which he outlines his beliefs to Winona Ryder’s would-be documentarian Lelaina Pierce: “There’s no point to any of this. It’s all just a random lottery of meaningless tragedy and a series of near escapes. So I take pleasure in the details. You know, a quarter-pounder with cheese, those are good, the sky about ten minutes before it starts to rain, the moment where your laughter become a cackle, and I, I sit back and I smoke my Camel Straights and I ride my own melt.”
Hawke brings the same intense gaze to this performance as he did to Dead Poets Society, as if his eyes could swallow the world whole. But where Todd’s body language was walled-off, Troy’s is loud and boisterous. He’s quick to see the faults of those around him, but also the good things the world has to offer. It’s a pretty honest depiction of how self-centered your early-20s tend to be, where riding your own melt seems like the best option. As the film progresses, Troy lets others in, saying to Lelaina, “This is all we need. A couple of smokes, a cup of coffee, and a little bit of conversation. You, me and five bucks.”
Like the character, Hawke was in his early twenties and as he would continue to philosophize through other characters, they would age along with him and so would their takes on the world. If you only engage with anyone at one phase in their life, you do a disservice to the arc of human existence. We have the ability to grow and change as we learn who we are and become less self-centered. In Hawke’s career, there’s no better example of this than his multi-film turn as Jesse in the Before Trilogy. While the creation of Jesse and Celine are credited to writer-director Richard Linklater and his writing partner Kim Krizan, much of what made it to the screen even as early as the first film were filtered through the life experiences of Hawke and his co-star Julie Delpy.
In a Q&A with Jess Walter promoting his most recent novel A Bright Ray of Darkness, Hawke said that Jesse from the Before Trilogy is like an alt-universe version of himself, and through them we can see the self-awareness and curiosity present in the early ET interview grow into the the kind of man Keating from Dead Poets Society urged his students to become.
Tumblr media
In Before Sunrise, Hawke’s Jesse is roughly the same age as Troy in Reality Bites, and as such is still in a narcissistic phase of his life. After spending several romantic hours with Celine in Vienna, the two share their thoughts about relationships. Celine says she wants to be her own person, but that she also desperately wants to love and be loved. Jesse shares this monologue, “Sometimes I dream about being a good father and a good husband. And sometimes it feels really close. But then other times it seems silly, like it would ruin my whole life. And it’s not just a fear of commitment or that I’m incapable of caring or loving because. . . I can. It’s just that, if I’m totally honest with myself, I think I’d rather die knowing that I was really good at something. That I had excelled in some way than that I’d just been in a nice, caring relationship.”
The film ends without the audience knowing if Jesse and Celine ever see each other again. That initial shock is unfortunately now not quite as impactful if you are aware of the sequels. But I think it is an astute look at two people who meet when they are still discovering who they are. Still growing. Jesse, at least, is definitely not ready for any kind of commitment. Then of course, we find out in Before Sunset that he’s fumbled his way into marriage and fatherhood, and while he’s excelling at the latter, he’s failing at the former.
As in Reality Bites, Hawke explores the dynamics of band life again in Before Sunset, when Jesse recalls to Celine how he was in a band, but they were too obsessed with getting a deal to truly enjoy the process of making music. He says to her, “You know, it's all we talked about, it was all we thought about, getting bigger shows, and everything was just...focused on the future, all the time. And now, the band doesn't even exist anymore, right? And looking back at the... at the shows we did play, even rehearsing... You know, it was just so much fun! Now I'd be able to enjoy every minute of it.”
Tumblr media
The filming of Before Sunset happened to coincide with the dissolution of Hawke’s first marriage. And while these films are not autobiographical, everyone involved have stated that they’ve added personal elements to their characters. They even poke fun at it in the opening scene when a journalist asks how autobiographical Jesse’s novel is. True to form, he responds with a monologue, “Well, I mean, isn’t everything autobiographical? I mean, we all see the world through our own tiny keyhole, right? I mean, I always think of Thomas Wolfe, you know. Have you ever seen that little one page note to reader in the front of Look Homeward, Angel, right? You know what I'm talking about? Anyway, he says that we are the sum of all the moments of our lives, and that, anybody who sits down to write is gonna use the clay of their own life, that you can’t avoid that.”
While Before Sunset was shot in 2003, released in 2004 and this monologue refers to the fictional book within the trilogy entitled This Time, Hawke would take this same approach more than a decade later with his novel A Bright Ray of Darkness.
In the novel, Hawke crafts a quasi-autobiographical story, using his experience in theater to work through the perspective he now has on his failed marriage to Uma Thurman. Much like Jesse in Before Sunset, Hawke is reluctant to call the book autobiographical, but the parallels to his own divorce are evident. And as Jesse paraphrased Wolfe, isn’t everything we do autobiographical? In the book, movie star William Harding has blown up his seemingly picture-perfect marriage with a pop star by having an affair while filming on location in South Africa. The book, structured in scenes and acts like a play, follows the aftermath as he navigates his impending divorce, his relationship with his small children, and his performance as Hotspur in a production of Henry IV on Broadway.
Throughout much of the novel, William looks back at the mistakes he made that led to the breakup of his marriage. He’s now in his 30s and has the clarity to see how selfish he was in his 20s. Hawke, however, was in his forties while writing the book. Through the layers of hindsight, you can feel how Hawke has processed not just the painful emotional growth spurt of his 20s, but also the way he can now mine the wisdom that comes from true reflection. Still, as steeped as the novel is in self-reflection, it does not claim to have all the answers. In fact, it offers William, as well as the readers, more questions to contemplate than it does answers.
Tumblr media
The wisdom to know that you will never quite understand everything is broached by Hawke early in the third film in the Before Trilogy, 2013’s Before Midnight. At this point in their love story, Jesse’s marriage has ended and he and Celine are parents to twin girls. Jesse has released two more books: That Time, which recounts the events of the previous film, and Temporary Cast Members of a Long-Running But Little Seen Production of a Play Called Fleeting. Before Midnight breaks the bewitching spell of the first two films by adding more cast members and showing the friction that comes with an attempt to grow old with someone. When discussing his three books, a young man says the title of his third is too long, Jesse says it wasn’t as well loved, and an older professor friend says it’s his best book because it’s more ambitious. It seems Linklater and company already knew how the departure of this third film might be regarded by fans. But it is this very departure that shows their commitment to honestly showing the passage of time and our relationship to it.
About halfway through the film Jesse and Celine depart the Greek villa where they have been spending the summer, and we finally get a one-on-one conversation like we’re used to with these films. In one exchange, I feel they summarize the point of the entire trilogy, and possibly Hawke’s entire ethos:
Jesse: Every year, I just seem to get a little bit more humbled and more overwhelmed about all the things I’m never going to know or understand.
Celine: That’s what I keep telling you. You know nothing!
Jesse: I know, I know! I'm coming around!
[Celine and Jesse laugh.]
Celine: But not knowing is not so bad. I mean, the point is to be looking, searching. To stay hungry, right?
Throughout the series, Linklater, Delpy, and Hawke explore what they call the “transient nature of everything.” Jesse says his books are less about time and more about perception. It’s the rare person who can assess themselves or the world around them acutely in the present. For most of us, it takes time and self-reflection to come to any sort of understanding about our own nature. Before Midnight asks us to look back at the first two films with honesty, to remove the romantic lens with which they first appeared to us. It asks us to reevaluate what romance even truly is.
Tumblr media
Hawke explores this same concept again in the 2018 romantic comedy Juliet, Naked. In this adaptation of the 2009 Nick Hornby novel, Hawke plays a washed-up singer-songwriter named Tucker Crowe. He had a big hit album, Juliet, in the early ‘90s and then disappeared into obscurity. Rose Bryne plays a woman named Annie whose longtime boyfriend Duncan is obsessed with the singer and the album, stuck on the way the bummer songs about a bad breakup make him feel. As the film begins, Annie reveals that she thinks she’s wasted 15 years of her life with this schmuck. This being a rom-com, we know that Hawke and Byrne’s characters will eventually meet-cute. What’s so revelatory about the film is its raw depiction of how hard it is for many to reassess who they really are later in life.
Duncan is stuck as the self-obsessed, self-pitying person he likely was when Annie first met him, but she reveals he was so unlike anyone else in her remote town that she looked the other way for far too long. Now it’s almost too late. By chance, she connects with Crowe and finds a different kind of man.
See, when Crowe wrote Juliet, he also was a navel-gazing twentysomething whose emotional development had not yet reached the point of being able to see both sides in a romantic entanglement. He worked through his heartbreak through art, and though it spoke to other people, he didn’t think about the woman or her feelings on the subject. In a way, Crowe’s music sounds a bit like what Reality Bites’s Troy Dyer may have written, if he ever had the drive to actually work at his music. Eventually, it’s revealed that Crowe walked away from it all when Julie, the woman who broke his heart, confronted him with their child—something he was well aware of, but from which he had been running away. Faced with the harsh reality of his actions and the ramifications they had on the world beyond his own feelings, he ran even farther away from responsibility. In telling the story to Annie, he says, “I couldn’t play any of those songs anymore, you know? After that, I just... I couldn’t play these insipid, self-pitying songs about Julie breaking my heart. You know, they were a joke. And before I know it, a couple of decades have gone by and some doctor hands me... hands me Jackson. I hold him, you know, and I look at him. And I know that this boy. . . is my last chance.”
When we first meet Crowe, he’s now dedicated his life to raising his youngest son, having at this point messed up with four previous children. The many facets of parenthood is something that shows up in Hawke’s later body of work many times, in projects as wholly different as Brooklyn’s Finest, Before Midnight, Boyhood, Maggie’s Plan, First Reformed, and even his novel A Bright Ray of Darkness. In each of these projects, decisions made by Hawke’s characters have a big impact on their children’s lives. These films explore the financial pressures of parenthood, the quirks of blended families, the impact of absent fathers, and even the tragedy of a father’s wishes acquiesced without question. Hawke’s take on parenthood is that of flawed men always striving to overcome the worst of themselves for the betterment of the next generation, often with mixed results.
Tumblr media
Where Juliet, Naked showed a potential arc of redemption for a father gone astray, First Reformed paints a bleaker portrait. Hawke plays Pastor Toller, a man of the cloth struggling with his own faith who attempts to counsel an environmental activist whose impending fatherhood has driven him to suicidal despair. Toller himself is struggling under the weight of fatherhood, believing he sent his own son to die a needless death in a morally bankrupt war. Sharing the story, he says “My father taught at VMI. I encouraged my son to enlist. It was the family tradition. Like his father, his grandfather. Patriotic tradition. My wife was very opposed. But he enlisted against her wishes. . . .  Six months later he was killed in Iraq. There was no moral justification for this conflict. My wife could not live with me after that. Who could blame her? I left the military. Reverend Jeffers at Abundant Life Church heard about my situation. They offered me a position at First Reformed. And here I am.” How do we carry the weight of actions that affect lives that are not even our own?
If Peter Weir set the father figure template in Dead Poets Society, and Paul Schrader explored the consequences of direct parental influence on their children’s lives, director Richard Linklater subverts the idea of a mentor-guide in Boyhood, showing both parents are as lost as the kid himself. When young Mason (Ellar Coltrane) asks his dad (Hawke) what’s the point of everything, his reply is “I sure as shit don’t know. Nobody does. We’re all just winging it.” As the film ends, Mason sits atop a mountain with a new friend he’s made in the dorms discussing time. She says that everyone is always talking about seize the moment—carpe diem!—but she thinks it’s the other way around. That the moments seize us. In Reality Bites, Troy gets annoyed at Lelaina’s constant need to “memorex” everything with her camcorder, yet Boyhood is a film about capturing a life over a 12-year period. The Before Trilogy checks in on Jesse and Celine every nine years. Hawke’s entire career. in fact, has captured his growth from an awkward teen to a prolific artist and devoted father, a master of his craft and philosopher at heart.

Not a good idea, maybe, but still... NV Followers' reaction to how the Courier tells the follower that sometimes all their adventures seem like a kind of deathbed dream to them (a bullet in the head after all...)
Just know, anon, that I am strongly resisting the urge to go full Shane Madej and Ryan Bergara with every single one of these reactions.
"Maybe this is all just... me." The courier waved their hand through the scorching air, tracing the shimmering line of the horizon that sang false promises of water. "A mirage. An oasis in the desert that I can't quite reach, but my eyes keep telling me is there if I just walk far enough."
Their hand went to the scar on their forehead. "I don't know. The things I've seen, since Goodsprings... if I told them to half the people in the Mojave, they'd toss me in the same shack as No-bark. HELIOS One? The Burned Man, in the crispy flesh? Jason Bright and his followers? Hell, the Sierra Madre? How do I know I didn't actually bite the dust in that graveyard, and all of this is the work of the bullet Benny put in my noggin?"
Arcade Gannon: "I guess there isn't a very convincing way I can answer that question," Arcade admitted. "But the fact that I know exactly how close you came to dying could be some evidence to the contrary. I doubt you were walking around with much medical knowledge about cranial vulnus sclopetarium prior to encountering it firsthand."
The courier looked somewhat interested, so the researcher continued hesitantly. "Did that doctor who checked you out not explain what happened to your brain? It's honestly a miracle that you're still walking around."
"I might've been a little preoccupied with the shock of being awake," the courier admitted. "Here, show me."
They guided Arcade's hand to the wound site, which he felt gingerly, trying not to awaken any pain. "Okay, close, very close range, left side... trajectory was too high, so it missed the speech center... probably sustained the most damage in the frontal and parietal lobes... well that tracks, that would affect problem-solving skills and spatial relationships..."
"Arcade?"
"Mm-hm?"
The courier grinned. "Just keep talking to me in Latin and I'll stop caring whether I'm dead or not. It sounds nice."
Arcade blushed.
Craig Boone: "Mmm." Boone pondered the thought, but immediately felt the shadow of guilt fall over his shoulders. Had any of his targets felt that way as they lay dying? Had Carla? He tried to shake the feeling off before it reached his face.
The courier, for their part, didn't notice, or at least knew enough to pretend not to notice. "That snake Benny was using a handgun, too, and who knows what caliber," they said, looking off into the distance.
"Low," Boone offered.
"Come again?"
"The bullet," Boone clarified. "It's still in your head. Slow and small caliber, if you're not already dead from it."
"But I could already be dead from it."
"Nah."
The courier looked as though they wanted to probe further, but Boone straightened his sunglasses and walked past them, signaling that the conversation was over. Headshot wounds, hypotheticals, they weren't his strong suit, but he did know one thing: The orders he had followed and the lives he had ended were far too real to be the figment of some Mojave wastelander's imagination.
Lily Bowen: "Come now, dearie, you're giving your imagination too much credit." Lily patted the courier lightly on the shoulder. Well, as lightly as a nightkin could. "Grandma's seen many strange things too, ever since she left the vault behind."
The courier smiled. "Stranger than the ones I've seen? Like what?"
Lily made an ugly face. "I saw many things when working for the Master. Golden geckos in Klamath. Ghosts in Baja. The Master himself, with his brain in the computers and the computers in his brain."
"Eugh." The courier mimicked the face Lily was making. "One of those, huh? Always seemed unsanitary to me."
"Good things too," Lily went on wistfully. "I saw Marcus' first city, when it was big and full of people. Humans, but also super mutants, ghouls. How I would have liked to take Becky and Jimmy there."
Her voice faltered a little, remembering the grandchildren that had been lost, left behind long ago. The courier reached out and took her hand. "I'm here, Lily."
After the memory passed, Lily returned to her smiling self. "You are, pumpkin. We're here together."
Raul Alfonso Tejada: "I know how you feel, boss." Raul sighed. "There are plenty of things in my past that I can't help but question the authenticity of. All I can say is that after a while, you stop asking and just go along for the ride."
"Right." The courier crossed their arms. "I suppose it's not that different a mindset from becoming a ghoul. Time stretching on in front of you, no clear end in sight, no expectation there will ever be one."
"Eh." Raul shrugged. "That might just be a mindset of mine. I stopped worrying about dying a long time ago. Or maybe I was looking for it, but never managed to find it. Either way, time doesn't bother me the way it used to."
"But it still does?"
"Sí. Now I worry more that I'll forget the crazy things I've seen altogether, or that they don't mean anything."
The young courier looked like they weren't quite ready to ponder that possibility. They stood together in silence for a while, watching the horizon's haze.
"Should we keep going?" the courier finally asked, shouldering their pack.
"Desde luego."
Rose of Sharon Cassidy: "Sometimes I wonder the same thing," Cass replied with a nod. "Well, not the exact same thing, but somethin' similar. Plenty of times in my life, I've woken up in someone else's bed or on the floor of a bar and wondered if I actually survived the fight I was in the night before, or if I finally drank enough to make my heart stop. It's a strange feeling, but then someone douses me in water or slaps me too hard on the ass and the pain of the wakin' world creeps back in, little by little."
"Do you slap them back?" the courier joked, chuckling.
"Them and the world," Cass confirmed. "I always figured if I'd actually died in my sleep, why bother makin' up some desert full of sadness and sunburns to fill my time? Had enough of that in life, so I can't see my mind keepin' it around. Much rather conjure up a house by the beach somewhere, with a basement full of caps and enough booze to last me 'til the bombs fall again."
The courier eyed her mischievously. "Maybe you're in hell."
Cass held her canteen up. "Well then. To bein' stuck in hell with a true friend."
She drank, long and deep, and the courier retrieved their canteen to do the same.
Veronica Santangelo: "Oh, Six." Veronica's face filled with sympathy. "Is that really what you think about, when you're trying to sleep at night in the casino and Cass is snoring in the bed next to you?"
The courier blinked. "Cass snores?"
"How have you not noticed?" Veronica pulled her power fist off and flexed her fingers, re-stimulating her circulation as best she could. "Arcade said he wanted to trade with me, after Boone had his second night terror incident, but he changed his mind again after one night of her racket. At this point, I'm used to it. When she's not around, I have trouble sleeping, can you believe that? Brotherhood bunks really prepared me for the Lucky 38."
"No, I hadn't noticed." The courier sat down on a nearby rock and stretched their legs out. "I guess I haven't been there much, lately."
Veronica sat down next to them. "You know, the more often you're gone having adventures around the desert, the more crazy things you're going to see. People who rest on their laurels and stick to the Strip don't lie awake wondering if they actually died back when they choked on those buffalo gourd seeds at The Gourmand."
"Touché."
ED-E: The eyebot let out a few beeps of disagreement and rolled from side to side in mid-air, indicating as best it could that in its experience, being shot in the dome was a good method for scrambling circuitry but was actually terrible for fusing new connections. The courier laughed and reached out to rub the robot's side. "Thanks, buddy. Maybe I'm right, or maybe reality is just a weird place."
ED-E beeped its satisfaction and bounced forward as if chasing the mirage. The courier trailed after the eyebot, their giggles blowing out with the wind into the desert for all to hear.
Rex: The old cyberdog whined and licked its companion's hand, uncertain what they were asking. Any dreams the canine had were good ones, long runs over grassy plains and prey that was always a hair too slow. Life with the courier was good too, but full of many more dangers than a savannah dotted with rabbits and deer. The courier scratched the dog on his ruff affectionately, before continuing over the hot sand toward their destination. Rex followed behind, happy and panting.
