okay so like over a week late, but obligatory wwwy post time lol
god it was Crazy. both good and bad. but the mcr part especially was wild. I was really overstimulated and exhausted and kinda over it yk. and then they came out and it was fun!
honestly being exhausted and overwhelmed was kinda part of the vibe. like we were all So tired, crammed together like literal sardines. there was No room to breathe or move and yet somehow people were making circle pits right next to us and it was Insane. but in a Good way.
and yk I couldn't see shit. I'm short and there were too many people so despite how, relativly, close we were to the stage, all I saw was the tops of the screens. but the Emotion was still there. it felt a bit like people just doing a sing along rather than a concert (tho that might just be bc I was shutting down lol) but it was FUN
and my all time favorite part/thing was how Into it everyone was. gerard was singing the song yk and people around me were each singing different like harmonies. best example is mama and famous last words and Sleep (god sleep killed me fuck)
famous last words was insane cause I realized about half way through the final bit that it was *me* screaming the 'or dead' bit as gerard sang. like I could hear myself. it was WIld and it really made it feel connected again. I think that's my point. the festival felt really impersonal but the crowd for MCR changed all of that. we were performing and living it out Just like the band was. the exhaustion and everything Fed into it.
I saw after the fact people talking about how mcr really leaned into the meloncolic, growing horror of Black Parade. it's dark and haunted and Sad but also kinda a fuck you at the same time. and that's how it felt ot Be there. we were all zombie like but singing every word and Losing our shit and singing the songs right along with them.
idk man it was Insane and I'm still like trying to piece together how i feel weeks later.
TLDR: MCR nailed the theme and this was the most 'connected' and also 'disconnected' I've ever felt at a show
also also I got to do my favorite thing which is wave flashlights at people super far away. this time they weren't across a stadium they were up high in apartments (hotels?) next to the festivle grounds. and they waved back and that is my favorite little human interaction of 'hi, you're way too far away to see and ill never meet you again but HI!'
#all this being said#I wanna see MCR in Actual concert#it did really suck at times not being able to see anything and it wasn't worth being crammed together like that#like I had fun but never again tbh#I wanna see MCR like I get to see fob yk?#idk if that's possible tho with how Big they are and the crowds they draw#d rambles#oh last thing#no pictures from this bc I didn't get a single good one of MCR#all I got was backs of people's heads and stuff#tho I might post a photo of frank from the dunes show bc I was Super super close for that oen#wwwy#mcr

Taylor was controlled by her parents, in the beginning, especially her mother. Mama Swift complained about moves being too sexy, had footage from the Tim McGraw mv deleted(Taylor and her boyfriend were skinny dipping in the lake), and later admitted at an Awards ceremony, on national TV, that they refused to let her date a boy they disapproved of: the boy who had inspired Love Story(which was based on a Romeo and Juliet theme). A country music journalist insists that her parents buried stories about the two also. It is not hard to imagine Taylor hiding dating him, because later he became the subject of White Horse, which Taylor said was the same person in Love Story, “the beginning and the end.” So no, it is not hard to imagine a straight relationship having to hide.
…. why would we need to know the specifics of Taylor’s biography to imagine a perfectly plausible set of circumstances lmao?
When I was in high school I didn’t date anyone super inappropriate - tbh I didn’t “date” anyone until my first bf like I made out with some guys and got kinda fingered by one guy - so it didn’t affect me but a ton of my friends weren’t “allowed” to date certain boys? A friend of mine was dating this guy from a neighboring high school whose parents were going through a nasty divorce and he used to sell weed to everyone (in hindsight idk where he was scoring that weed - maybe his divorcing dad?? Idk??? It wasn’t legal back then so like where was he finding this shit?) and he used to not like spending time at either his mum or his dad’s and they didn’t really gaf so he’d like sorta float around at friends’ houses but no other parents wanted him around because of yk the weed and so a lot of the time he’d climb into her room from the tree outside her house and sleepover and sneak out like early in the morning. She was obviously forbidden from dating him lmao. She still did. Fun fact: he eventually crashed the car her parents bought her totaling the vehicle while high and drunk so they couldn’t claim on insurance and then he got into a physical fight with her father and so every time I hear that one Chainsmokers’ song I remember that dude. Freddie was his name lol. I also can still never take anyone called Freddie seriously after that dude. Follow up fun fact: that friend is not the one who is still only dating drug dealers, this one is married to a very nice man and they own a restaurant together and they work super hard with that and are very cute. But also I’ve had a lot of friends date weird ass dudes ngl ngl. Anyway.
My point with this protracted story is if one regularly goes outside then there’s no reason to think about Taylor’s biography to think of reasons these songs would apply to many different people’s lives. I’m sure my friend felt very Love Story about Freddie (except she wouldn’t have ever listened to it in real time because she was into super emo bands and that whole aesthetic like her fave band was MCR). That was a hetty relationship. They weren’t even different social classes tbh but he was a bad boy and she had functional parents who didn’t want him around her. That girl is bi btw (not that she was out then) but as I say is now married to a man and idk her most forbidden thing was still probably the Freddie story and tbh her parents - and the rest of our parents and tbh most of us, as her friends - were 100% right. He was indeed a bad boy.
Wonder what he’s up to these days lol. Might be a huge weed entrepreneur, might be in prison, really no way to know.

P.1. MAIN THEMES OF THE TOUR
The first thing we can see on stage is a big backdrop with ruined city: destroyed multi-storey buildings, crashed school bus and the banner with the image of a dead rat and the inscriptions 201-KL5-DEAD and EXTERMINATOR. This scene is quite similar to the scene from The Umbrella Academy: Apocalypse Suite, Issue #2.
Of course, we know that Gerard used to say that he prefers to keep the band and TUA as separate things, but you can’t deny that these two pictures are related to each other. As well as the fact that the Brellies was written from the band.
So, the backdrop gives us an idea that one of the main themes of this tour is an apocalypse.
The second thing that is clearly visible on this tour is mentioning of the war. In particular, the nuclear one. And here’s why.
First of all, the thing that Gerard did almost at every show as intro to song Mama: he mentioned a word “war” in different combinations, like, “war is a b*tch” or “no breaks for a war machine” or just repeating “war” with his weird distorted voice. The example: https://twitter.com/frnkmilflover69/status/1530410817258143751
The obvious thing that he reffered to is Thursday’s record “War All The Time“, because we’ve heard Gerard mentioning Geoff Rickly on stage too. But here’s the prove that actual war is there too. We need to reffer to the TV series of TUA and Watchmen comic.
Remember the sparkly suit from Newark second show? The one where “My Way” by Frank Sinatra cover was played? This song is a soundtrack of the second season of TUA TV series. Check out the first episode of the second season on 07:00 and you’ll see the nuclear missiles and explosions and you’ll hear the voice of Frank Sinatra, too :)
The second thing about the war theme is that the band did a lot of references to Watchmen comic on stage (which we’ll discuss later). And the main theme of this comic is a possibilty of the World War 3 and nuclear weapons. Ba-dum-tsss.
Let’s move on.
Third theme that every MCR fan is very familiar with is vampires. There’s no need to explain why :)
And the last one and the most difficult to explain because it’s the biggest theme that has a lot of different interpretations is religion and catholicism . But we’ll try to show you the most interesting parts of it, so continue to read next posts.
To make it easier for you to read, all themes will be marked with letters:
- Vampires (V)
- Apocalypse / war (A)
- Catholicism (C)

hi i’ve been thinking about nothing but the version of desert song they played in chile in 2008 for the last like. 11 hours or so specifically because they changed 2 of the words in it... fluid and blood to flame and blame. anyway 2 questions. one. do u have thoughts in your head from this fact or is that just me. 2 do u know if there were other desert song performances this happened at or was it like. a one time occurrence. um also hows it going?
okay so the answer is that i don’t know off the top of my head because i go a little crazy when i watch mcr songs that i love live so i don’t do it very often. i think i tried to watch desert song once and just <3 could not do it it was too much <3 so i don’t know if they ever did this again (i bet mack @awsugar probably knows if anyone he watches more live shows than anyone else ik). i did just go watch this though and i did cry... gerard sounds really good also, i think this song is really in a sweet spot in his range.
anyway though this is a REALLY interesting change... to me it sounded a lot like “cartilage and fame” but you’ve listened to it a lot more than i have. so assuming it is flame, i mean there’s already a huge theme in mcr’s lyrics with flame, fire, light, etc. i think that the flame/blame makes the like... guilt...? associated with the song clearer. because “carry on through cartilage and fluid / and did you come to stare or wash away the blood” could be the speakers’ cartilage and fluid and blood, like they’re the one who’s been injured. but “carry on through... flame” brings to mind like. hell. and a lot of lyrical parallels to mama too. and then “wash away the blame” definitely makes it more obvious that the speaker is looking for someone to take away their guilt and their sins.
i’m feeling totally normal and fine about this natasha hbu :))))))
#dafjhjfh i do appreciate you asking me though :')#i literally couldn't finish that video it just like reaches down inside me and rips something loose#desert song...... god i love it so much#someday i will get good enough at the piano arrangement i wrote to play it. someday.#anyway lmao. seriously thank you for asking me i am honored#desert song#mcr theory 101#imeanthisforever#my ask tag

the end.
it’d be a crime to not do the end and dead together. i guess i did commit a crime. here’s a transgendered analysis of the end. you can find my post on dead here.
thank you for reading.
i’ve always seen this song as being about realizing you’re trans.
Now come one come all to this tragic affair Wipe off that makeup, what's in is despair
this reminds me of when gerard talked about when he tried on makeup for the first time- something about it felt right, felt interesting to him. i don’t have it on hand, but it’s an interesting parallel.
So throw on the black dress, mix in with the lot You might wake up and notice you're someone you're not
this directly contrasts the last line- if you’re wiping off makeup, why would you be dressing up? it’s an interesting contrast. he orders you- or maybe himself- to mix in with the lot, to do your best to fit in.
but in doing so you’re going to lose who you are- “notice you’re someone you’re not.” dysphoria- that sensation of being separate and disconnected, unhappily, from your appearance and body- is what it reminds me of. you’re trying too hard to be something else.
If you look in the mirror and don't like what you see You can find out firsthand what it's like to be me
i don’t think i have to explain the significance of this line. but i’m putting it here anyway.
Another contusion, my funeral jag Here's my resignation, I'll serve it in drag You've got front row seats to the penitence ball
(actually, this is off topic, but just like how the beginning of a play summarizes its events, so does the end. the “funeral jag” (a jag = binge/spree, esp. of substance use) refers to the sharpest lives, the next line refers to the thread of giving up in style that runs through all of tbp but especially mama, and the “penitence ball” can refer to sleep and disenchanted, as it literally means “apology party” in simplest terms)
the theme of destroying yourself with style runs through a lot of mcr’s songs, and other people have made incredibly intelligent posts about it, but i’d like to point out the “in drag” line specifically here.
it’s an interesting word choice, given the gnc overtones that i’ve pointed out previously. gerard thinks that the way to best express that he’s completely ruining his life is that he’s doing it in drag. something looked down on and ridiculed by society, and yet another form of gender nonconforming self expression.
it’s pretty interesting.
When I grow up I want to be nothing at all!
ive always related this line to both mental illness and the lgbt community. um. mentally ill people have that difficulty- especially people who struggle with suicidal ideation- in imagining themselves ten, fifteen years from now. and for lgbt people it’s even harder, because- especially in the time we live in, post-aids crisis- there are so very few senior lgbt people, almost none of which we got to see as children.
all of this combines into just... not being able to see a future for yourself. you have no concept for it. what does a trans person look like at 40, 60, 80? can trans people even live happily?
there’s nothing you think you can grow up into. nothing at all.
(Save me!) Get me the hell out of here (Save me!) Too young to die and my dear (You can't!) If you can hear me just walk away and (Take me!)
i’ve always loved the transition between the end and dead, as do most of us. the lines “too young to die” and “if you can hear me, just walk away and take me!” always get to me.
thank you for all the love on dead!, i appreciated it a lot. i’m pretty nervous about posting stuff.

Whats your theme song? ((Also omg yes the prince by machiavelli is great for princedom in the camarilla glad Im not the only one who thinks so))
There are a few that could potentially fit well...
'Teenagers - MCR' could work but perhaps is a bit too on the nose in regards to my appearance.
'You should see me in a crown - Billie Eilish' could as well but that has a similar on the nose aspect due to my position. Plus is applicable to just able any kindred that's grasping for/in power lbh.
Maybe 'Mama - MCR'? I vibe to that quite strongly - but that's less a theme for me and more just me being pissed about my sire?? Actually, fuck it, that's my theme. Bite my ass Beatrix.
// Had to go rummage around his playlist for a bit. Most of the songs I have associated with him related specifically to any period of his life OTHER than while he's Prince which made things a little hard.
#ic#ooc#// I can totally imagine The Prince being worked into some sort of Ventrue essential reading list lmal#*lmao#// and cos of this post Leonard is now an MCR fan -gavel smack noise-

Greatest Songs Ever - Part 11 (Self Actualization)
self-actualization [self-ak-choo-uh-luh-zey-shuh]
the achievement of one's full potential through creativity, independence, spontaneity, and a grasp of the real world.
It's been 3 years since I’ve done a “Greatest Songs Ever” list. At that time I was trying to dip into retro music and find songs I connected with that were released before I was even born. That whole process was stressful, migraine-inducing and worst of all, it felt forced. For the next set of songs, I’ve chosen the theme of “Self Actualization”.
I am not able to properly formulate an opinion about music I wasn’t there for, I know this now. Instead, I’ll continue to pull songs I am intimately familiar with to create a quality product on this blog. That’s not me shitting on older generations of music, it's just me finally achieving my full potential when it comes to building a playlist. Let’s get started.
2006 “Tears Don’t Fall” - Bullet For My Valentine
If I were to list the genres of music I love, Metal would be number like 4 or 5. However, every once in a while a song peers it’s head out of the wreckage and catches my ear. From the first guitar chords “Tears Don’t Fall” grabbed me. I’m gonna call it a ballad because it feels like a song that should make me sad. Most screamy emo songs don’t carry the emotional weight they are designed to, but BFMV hits a nerve with “Tears Don’t Fall” that most bands aren’t even able to dream of. Hell, BFMV has yet to release a song that even scratches the surface of “Tears Don’t Falls’” guttural impact.
2006 “The Sharpest Lives” - My Chemical Romance
I know, I know, this nearly forgotten MCR track wasn’t even a stand out when the seminal The Black Parade album was released, but somehow it has stood the test of time in my library. No MCR song more perfectly encapsulates both the aggression and awkwardness of the band’s entire catalog. “If it looks like I’m laughing, I’m really just asking to leave” is just one of the dozen perfect MCR lyrics on this track. I love “Welcome to The Black Parade”, “This Is How I Disappear”, “Mama”, “Teenagers” and the rest of the 100% classic Black Parade, but “The Sharpest Lives” hits harder both sonically and emotionally than most of the songs released in its decade.
2006 “Stop This Train” - John Mayer
Ok, let’s slow it down a bit. This isn't this first time I’ve talked about John Mayer in this blog and not even the first time he’s made this list, but its a crime that “Stop This Train” has never been mentioned with the proper respect on it’s name. Written as a touching anthem about the existential nature of growing old, “Train” is the perfect John Mayer song. It combines his knack for simple and honest guitar parts with lightly metaphoric lyrics that cut directly into the segments of our psyche that make us human. The older I get the more this song makes me cry...and that can’t be unestimated.
2004 “All Downhill From Here” - New Found Glory
NFG has always been a stealthy favorite band of mine. “All Downhill From Here” is NFG at the height of their power. Once upon a time, I was ashamed to “like” any pop-punk outside of Green Day because of the perceived social implications. Jordan Pundik’s voice is just punky enough to turn most people off at first listen, but through the storm and the years, I’ve realized that NFG is kinda my spirit animal when it comes to pop-punk music. As for the song, it's endlessly singable and has a strong bridge, the two most important parts of any song I wish to immortalize on this dumb list.
2003 “How About You” - Staind
This is an admittedly weird one. As the forgotten 3rd single from Staind’s 4th album “How About You” is a song not many people know, however, when I dig into the archives it always floats to the top. Even with its vaguely religious lyrics and somewhat self-righteous delivery, “How About You” is sung with an earnestness not found in nu-metal. Sometimes when I listen to this song I wonder if Aaron Lewis realizes how unique it is to his chosen genre.
2002 “Harder to Breathe” - Maroon 5
This one is a softball. Everyone knows "Harder to Breathe”, everyone loves "Harder to Breathe”. Its become a go-to karaoke knock-out. So much so that people ask me to sing it all the time. Equal parts pure song-writing talent, and light cultural appropriation, “Harder to Breathe” is funky for white-people-music and that’s really all it needs to succeed. All of Maroon 5′s tracks following that first album have a self-aware calculated feel to them, but “Harder To Breathe” is the best that first album has to offer and is a talented first stab at making a name out of something.
2011 “Little Black Submarines” - The Black Keys
Most of The Black Keys tracks have an air of pretentiousness to them that’s hard to get past. I like tracks like “Lonely Boy” and “Howlin’ For You” but neither of them sound genuine. They sound like 2 dorky white dudes playing the part of ironic rock stars, which ultimately leads to them making songs for frat guys who are too cool to listen to typical frat guy music. “Little Balck Submarines” is a HUGE exception to your typical Black Keys song, and its the only time I’ve felt real emotion from the duo.
2007 “Watch Over You” - Alter Bridge
I’ve always liked this song, but it wasn’t until I saw Alter Bridge at the fair a few years ago that I LOVED this song. Alter Bridge gets a lot of shit for being the offspring of Creed, but it's really unwarranted. They are one of the only bands still around carrying the torch for normal-ass rock music. Some may turn their nose up at it, but Alter Bridge has some bangers. “Watch Over You” is your stereotypical, pull out your lighters, ballad, that’s written vaguely enough for it to cover several different relationship dynamics. Its real strength comes from Myles Kennedy’s vocals. He might be the best singer in rock music today.
1997 “My Own Summer (Shove It)” - Deftones
In 1997 I was transitioning from being a hard-core Garth Brooks fan, into rock music in a big way. Bands like Nirvana, STP, Pearl Jam, Bush, and Live had a back catalog that I was swimming in the deep end of. The Deftones, and more specifically “My Own Summer” represented a “cooler” and more edgy version of this new found love of Rock music. Chino Mareno’s vocals during the chorus singing “Shove It!” might have been the most aggressive vocals I had ever heard to that point. I still get the occasional goosebump when jamming this track. I can’t say I was ever cool enough to truly understand why the Deftones were great, but “My Own Summer” is a cornerstone of the musical taste of my formative years.
2015 “Here to Mars” - Coheed and Cambria
13 years and 7 albums in, I was sure I had heard the best Coheed and Cambria had to offer. “Gravemakers & Gunslingers” was even included in this dumb series of blogs. I wasn’t a huge fan of The Aftermath and I assumed C&C were on their way out creatively. Then they released The Color Before the Sun and I was impressed. That album was their first outside of the silly sci-fi narrative they’ve been weaving for 15 years now. Track 4, “Here To Mars” is a surprisingly straight forward love song that has grown into one of my favorite songs of this decade. Seriously, it’s probably a top 5 from the teens for me. It’s as big as older Coheed songs, but still carries a touching sentiment that I just don’t get from the rest of their library. Of all the songs on this list, I recommend this one the most.
Ok, that wasn’t so hard...maybe I’ll bang another one of these out soon. Who knows?
#here to mars#coheed and cambria#the deftones#my own summer#watch over you#alter bridge#john mayer#stop this train#the black keys#little black submarines#maroon 5#harder to breathe#staind#how about you#bullet for my valentine#tears don't fall#new found glory#all downhill from here#My chemical romance#the sharpest lives

Pardon Jaxx Doing a Ramble About Hollow Knight and MCR
(spoilers ahoy!)
OKAY BUT
Seriously, y’all. Mama is such a perfect fit for The Hollow Knight in particular, and the Vessels as a whole? The entire theme about someone who’s been through hell but going unappreciated, losing everyone around them in the process? Hoooooo boy!
I’m gonna put this bad boy under the cut because we are doing a lyrical breakdown, friendos!
Mama, we all go to hell Mama, we all go to hell I'm writing this letter and wishing you well Mama, we all go to hell Oh, well, now Mama, we're all gonna die Mama, we're all gonna die Stop asking me questions, I'd hate to see you cry Mama, we're all gonna die
This part could go two directions. It could be about the Pale King drowning the eggs in the Abyss or whatever, and it could be about The Hollow Knight being imprisoned.
“We’re all going to die,” could be the many, many Vessels, or it could be THK admitting that they’re not hollow and pure. By being imprisoned, they doomed Hallownest; they would never be able to protect it adequately.
“Stop asking me questions,” leans more towards imprisonment, methinks. Poke THK’s facade too much, and it falls apart. Which means all The Pale King’s work is for naught, one definite reason to cry. Now, would that mean Hallownest is, again, doomed, or that PK is going to have to kill more of his children in an attempt to get the ‘right’ one? And no matter what, it would mean PK and WL have been depriving their thinking, willful, ‘living’ child of an actual childhood.
And when we go don't blame us, yeah We'll let the fire just bathe us, yeah You made us, oh, so famous We'll never let you go And when you go don't return to me my love
This strikes me more as the imprisonment. We’ve got them leaving (deployment as far as I can tell in the song’s original context, THK being sealed here), and fire. Which, the Radiance is associated with light/the sun; she’s not the most fire-related, but hey, she and the Nightmare Heart appear to be related anyways! Plus, it’s a trial, it’s the Infection, all contained in them. Plus, you could argue when you release them and fight them, the Infection sure does bathe the battlefield from how much there is.
Now, Lemm mentions there’s really nothing speaking of The Hollow Knight, but they have a statue in the middle of the city, and bugs apparently come to worship at the Black Egg Temple. Now, who do they worship? Radiance, THK, even the Dreamers? Who knows! Could be any. But whatever happened there, PK seems to have made some effort into letting his child be known. Plus, you know, THK is one of the final bosses, the first character to appear on-screen at all...
“We’ll never let you go,” could also go two ways. It could be THK’s adoration of their father - the two could not let each other go and thus THK was no longer pure, if they were pure in the first place. It could also be about the siblings; they’re attracted to you when you go to the Abyss, and the Void definitely left a stain on PK’s mindspace, judging by his throne room, if it didn’t outright kill him.
And, of course, “When you go don’t return to me my love,” is the imprisonment. They’re never supposed to be free. The funny thing here is, the Godseeker endings imply they have the strength to leave the temple, even tangled in their chains. But, for some reason (gameplay-wise an obvious reason but we’re talking story here), they don’t leave otherwise. Their will to keep The Radiance as contained as possible?
Another fun bit: the chorus gets backing vocals, which could well be the other Vessels piping up.
Mama, we're all full of lies Mama, we're meant for the flies And right now they're building a coffin your size Mama, we're all full of lies
THK’s impurity and the fall of Hallownest. They’ve been ‘deceiving’ Hallownest up until they’re sealed, dooming it - the ‘meant for the flies’ and ‘building a coffin your size.’
Well, Mother, what the war did to my legs and to my tongue
THK sure did get real mangled. An arm instead of legs, yes, but also note the tongue; they were not allowed a voice. Even during the Pure Vessel fight, when they try to scream, there’s no sound coming from it, only the soundtrack.
These lines also involve a sort of toadlike, goblin-y voice. The Radiance?
You should've raised a baby girl I should've been a better son
Now, I don’t like gendering THK. But it can be hard to avoid. In this particular instance, I could see the first line going two ways - are they talking about Hornet, the baby girl who the White Lady and Pale King would have been left to raise after Herrah was sealed away, or is THK talking about themself, and how they should have been left out of the Void and raised as a normal god-baby? The implication they’d be a girl for the latter one is interesting; I know I saw someone posit that Myla’s song, when she sings about the (feminine) knight, she could mean a folklore version of THK. Also everyone defaults to calling them a boy when they gender them so I find it fun to shake that up.
“I should’ve been a better son,” gets back to the purity issue. They could try and try and try, but they would never be good enough. They would never be what they needed to be. Baby has anxiety and impostor syndrome, huh? The goblin voice/Radiance also returns here; possibly her taunting them with their shortcomings?
If you could coddle the infection They can amputate at once You should've been I could have been a better son
Again, the first bit ties to how mangled they are when we find them. They did coddle the Infection! And it sure did take their arm! But also, and I think this is part of the original context, too, it’s about emotionally cutting off from the child in question. Which, again, could be THK alone, could be the Vessels as a whole.
We also get more lovely guilt from THK at the end there, but what’s the “You should’ve been?” Are they accusing their parents of something? That they should have noticed THK wasn’t pure? Whatever it is, they cut themself off and reiterate the entire thing as their fault.
And the goblin/Radiance comes back for the amputation and ‘better son’ line. Which, considering what she did to them...
She said, "You ain't no son of mine For what you've done. They're gonna find A place for you And just you mind your manners when you go And when you go, don't return to me, my love." That's right
Well, the first line is just a bullseye on the dartboard, isn’t it? The White Lady seemed to be more detached from the Vessels than her husband was; she will claim you as her spawn, eventually, but only in a factual matter in that she helped conceive the Vessels. Those ghost babies aren’t her children any more.
‘A place for you’ and ‘Mind your manners?’ The Black Egg Temple returns! And we also get a peek at all the royalty and nobility The Hollow Knight was raised around. They were a knight, of course they would learn to behave properly, and their parents would be concerned with propriety.
Mama, we all go to hell Mama, we all go to hell It's really quite pleasant Except for the smell Mama, we all go to hell
Oh, there’s some Abyss right there. Possibly the Black Egg Temple again, too. THK did go from one to another, after all, with a brief bout of the Palace/Hallownest in between. Which could get at the two lines in the middle. “It’s really quite pleasant,” well, the Abyss is the Vessels’ birthplace/home. As for “the smell,” I imagine the Infection doesn’t smell like roses. Sunshine, maybe. But mostly disease. The two lines don’t go together as much, unless it’s THK trying to put on a brave face in the temple.
2 - 3 - 4 Mama! Mama! Mama! Oh! Mama! Mama! Mama! Ma...
This one starts a little angry, a little taunting, but it still sounds like a child calling for their mother. And especially at the end, where it turns to one long scream. They’re really just a kid who, despite everything that’s been done to them, wants their parents.
And if you would call me your sweetheart I'd maybe then sing you a song
This switches to “Mama’s” voice. Is it the White Lady and the Pale King loving their child, deep down, and if they had said something their parents would have taken them in as a child/heir and given them the affection, attention, and validation they sought? Or is it more taunting? There is some doubt, there, with the “maybe then;” THK cannot guarantee their parents would love them for who they are.
But there's shit that I've done with this fuck of a gun You would cry out your eyes all along
And we’re back to Gerard. The first line’s not that easy to work with; what did The Hollow Knight do themself that could get that sort of statement? Work with the Knights/PK? Something with the Radiance?
The second, though, normal bugs infected with Void appear to leave black tear stains on their faces. The broken masks in the Abyss display this, Godseeker has Void leak out her eyes, and the lighthouse keeper seems to meet the same fate. So... shoutout to that!
We're damned after all Through fortune and flame we fall And if you can stay then I'll show you the way To return from the ashes you call
And here’s where we get a whole chorus of voices. The Vessels have something to say! Damned to die in the Abyss, coming back as little ghosts (”returning from the ashes”), falling from what could have been life as nobility. And, of course, those siblings sure love to latch onto you whenever you come visit. Don’t know what they mean to show the way to, though.
We all carry on (We all carry on) When our brothers in arms are gone (When our brothers in arms are gone) So raise your glass high For tomorrow we die And return from the ashes you call
The Vessel chorus continues. Which, considering Ghost/the Knight, they certainly carried on after all the other Vessels died, and THK failed in their duty. They will continue. They will do what must be done, because that’s how they can be put to rest again. In Dream No More, all the siblings, Ghost and THK and all the ones in the Abyss, gang up on the Radiance and, once that’s done, they sink into the Abyss again. Their duty is over. They don’t have to linger any more, children that could never grow up.
Which, in the end, they seem to celebrate their deaths, perhaps bitterly but it’s something so clear to them. Are they angry at their parents for killing them and raising them again, only to leave them as restless spirits? Are they cheering Ghost on with their mission and looking forward to the Radiance’s end? Both?
And, at the very end, there’s no lyrics for it, but we hear “Mama” crying. Which, is she the Pale King here? The White Lady? Could very well be both. Both seem to show great regret over what happened; the White Lady bound herself up over it, and the Pale King stole the entire freaking palace away into the dream realm, and you find him dead, the throne room stained, with Void bubbles floating around, and I interpret his dream nail line as being very bitter and regretful.
Mama sent her baby away and now gets to live with regret filling the hole in her heart where they once lived.

Seventeen “Director’s Cut” Special Album Review
So like...
Who else saw it coming?!?!?
Hello loves!! My name is Jace (aka Felicity B), and welcome to my first album review!! And of fucking course, it's on Seventeen's repackage (sorry, Special Album™) - Director's Cut!! Anyone who knows me knows that I'm complete and total Svt trash (I might have cried watching Thank You for the first time), so I am *very* excited to be doing Seventeen for my first ever album review.
I might have had plans to do a Teen.Age review as my first post on Felicity B Reviews. No one can prove that, but it might have been a thing!!
1. Thinkin' About You
Thinkin' About You is Classic Svt™, kids.
You can expect three different types of tracks to be present on most (if not all) Seventeen albums
Gay up Straight up, balls to the wall Funk that has a ridiculous ass routine and looks amazing performed live (Boom Boom, Very Nice, Clap).
A soft Radio Ballad type song that would make the perfect intro track at a concert (Beautiful, Without You).
An acoustic(-sque) ballad that makes your heart go pitter patter (Smile Flower, Campfire).
I told y'all I was complete and total Svt Trash.
Thinkin' About You is a Funky Disco Pop number that combines the first and second Svt archetypes (tropes, if you will), and I fuckin' love it. In fact, I'm pretty sure there's no way I could ever *not* like this type song from any group, much less Seventeen. There's just something so Right™ about Seventeen doing high energy, pure pop numbers. Most boy bands outchea are trynna act like they're all badass and what not (not that Seventeen isn't), but Seventeen know what the fans want.
I know I said above that these type of songs would be perfect for opening a concert, but I actually think Thinkin' About You would be great to close out one?!?! Or for an ~encore~ stage. It's interesting that they chose Thinkin' About to open the repackage (*ahem* Special Album), because there's an element of finality to it. It does its job well enough, but it'd be interesting to hear how it'd sound if they had placed this at the end.
2. Thank You *title*
The ugly tears I bawled watching the video for the first time, y'all...
Firstly, whomstever leaked the original draft of my Teen.Age review??!? Yeah, ya mama's a heaux. I (very jokingly) complained about Clap not having enough Jisoo, and only did they come out with that ~remix~ of Clap that's literally WonSoo looking hot to a trap beat, but Thank You has an explosion of Jisoo.
It's too much.
Thank You is an EDM track that I'd usually expect from Performance Unit. And that's not shade, cause I fucking love Thank You. But sis, y'all could put ha next to Dance of the 13th Month and HIGHLIGHT, and it'd be a trilogy of slayery.
I don't actually recommend doing that unless your edge control is blessed by God, cause you will look a hot ass mess afterwards.
The best way to describe my thoughts on Thank You is "When will your faves?". All of my feelings on this song boil down to that question. Jisoo told us to be ready, but once the teasers hit, I had accepted my fate. My edges will never be the same, just like consequences. I will never stan another like I do Seventeen. How could I when they deliver such high quality, forward thinking songs that are still true to their brand of public friendly pop bops like Thank You??!?!?!
Dramatics aside, Thank You is just a really nice, really healing type of song. This song feels like renewed hope in a jar. Thank You doesn't make me feel like I can conquer the world, it makes me feel like I can live for another day. It makes me feel like I haven't struggled and fought in vain. And as someone who has had many a depressive episode that's left her feeling like complete and total trash, that feeling is not to underestimated.
3. Run To You
Sis, tell me how Seventeen delivered a J-Pop style track, while also making the song sound distinctly theirs?!?!?! I'm very sure if another group performed this, it'd still have that patented Svt feel to it.
Legends only.
Let's get the obvious out of the way - Run To You sounds like an anime theme song. A very nice anime theme song, but an anime theme song nonetheless. I'm a little confused as to why they'd include a song like this on a Korean album, because this style is very hit or miss when done in Korea. My thoughts on Run To You tie very heavily into how I feel about Director's Cut as a whole, but I'll get into those later.
Run To You has a grit to it's severely dulled by the mixing and mastering process, and it makes me wanna hear it live. This is exacerbated by the Svt's very clean, very pop style mixing, but to be fair, it is a complaint I've had about pretty much every Korean rock song with high production values.
I really would not mind if Seventeen ever decided to do a punk/pop sub-unit. Yes, I do realize Run To You isn't punk/pop, but that could easily be fixed. Seventeen gave us MCR inspired aesthetics with the Teen.Age teasers, and I was A Fan™. And several of the members play instruments (I'm having war flashbacks to their KBS Song Festival stage). It wouldn't be hard for them to pull off. It'd be a super cool foil to their power pop/Boys Just Wanna Have Fun™ group concept.
PLEDIS!! MAKE IT HAPPEN!!
4. Falling For U (Jeonghan and Jisoo)
In case anyone is interested, I prefer to use Jisoo's Korean name over his American one (even though he uses that as a stage name), because Joshua is my deadname. And it's really uncomfortable to call one of your biases a name that has the potential to make you extremely dysphoric.
Moving on.
Falling For U is Svt archetype number three. And even though I have love for every song on Director's Cut, Falling For U is my clear favorite. Outside of featuring 2/3 of my Svt biases (I am a gay trash can, leave me be), it's an Acoustic Coffee Shop RnB Midtempo.
And y'all know how much my gay ass loves those.
It's missing the RnB overtones you typically hear in this type of song, but it's still pretty rad.
Falling For U is another really nice, really healing song. She sounds like springtime dates with bae. Like you're in that Honeymoon phase and you just wanna be all gross and sappy all the time. Falling For U also gives me the feel of a couple that's been in love for a while now. Everything feels easy in that moment, because you're just so in love. It's a nice feeling.
I frequently talk about how K-Pop fans need to unplug every once in a while because they be sippin' the Kool Aid a lil bit too much, but sometimes, I just wanna listen to a cute love song by a cute boy (or cute boys #GayTrashCan).
And speaking of cute things by cute boys, HanSoo's cute rap during the bridge. Sis, my heart exploded with feels. Jisoo has such a nice lower range (you wouldn't know it by how high his vocal parts are, but he's got a lil oomph to his voice for a lyric tenor) and Jeonghan has rasp for D A Y S.
I wanted it to be longer, you guys.
Overall And Final Thoughts
Director's Cut does what a repackage/special album is supposed to do - extend the life of an previously released album cycle with a new look and some new music. I liked that three/four of the songs featured here are group tracks as opposed to unit ones; Teen.Age was a great showcase of Seventeen as individuals, but it felt more like a singles collection than an album because of it. The tracklisting was a hot mess that exacerbated the problem, but the root was how varied the sound of the album was. Adding in the group tracks definitely helps make the album feel more cohesive.
I mean, there's the task of actually integrating the tracks into the body of the album, but that's the beauty of the Digital Revolution.
At the same time, I almost wish they'd waited to release these songs?!!
I've heard that Seventeen are planning a Japanese debut soon, so why not save these songs for that album. Most groups release a remake of a Korean song as a debut single in Japan, but Seventeen could have released Run To You. If there's a few thing sI've learned about successful Japanese campaigns for K-Pop groups are, it's that groups a) need to be proficient (at the very least) in the language and b) you gotta tailor your sound to the market. And what do ya know, Run To You would have Perfect™.
Idk, I'm very happy with this comeback because it breathed new life into an already amazing album, but at the same time, I think Seventeen's first release in 2018 should not have been a repackage. Especially one with a tracklisting this poorly thought out. Seventeen's albums have always had iffy tracklistings, but Director's Cut takes the cake, sis.
It doesn't take away from the quality of the music, but it makes you wonder where their management's priorities lies.

I wish there was a thing that gave you ‘songs like this’ in topic and tone instead of just by the musical sound
Like my taste is whatever I like but a lot of it depends on the lyrical content at least in part
Like one part of my music taste is up-tempo/upbeat stuff with kinda fucky lyrics like a good chunk of Creature Feature’s songs (not all of them, like Here There Be Witches is a slower song and I’m sure there are others I like) just like
Stuff that’s about murder n shit but not about real crimes or anything that’s too much
Like sometimes I’m like ‘I want a song about making a deal with an evil thing’ but like...aside from Devil Went Down to Georgia, how many are there that aren’t heavy metal or similar? (That’s like the one genre of music I am certain I dislike or just don’t like yet. There are some metal covers of songs I like on YouTube and those are good but I’m just really not as into it maybe it’s because the words are hard to hear or understand or maybe I just don’t like that kind of loudness/chaos, but I have yet to find an original song in that style that I like.)
Sometimes I want stuff similar in style, tone, and lyrical content to Disney villain songs but that isn’t that because I want other stuff right now and if it’s out there I can’t find it. I mean maybe if I made a Spotify radio out of it I might get something new, but I could just as easily just end up with a Disney/animated musical radio. I never thought about it at the time because that wasn’t the mood I was in but I can probably find some things in musicals that would work, though it still might not have been what I was looking for since it was part of a greater work and not just an independent (relatively, could still be part of an album theme but I wouldn’t know shit about that) song about that stuff.
Honestly though if I got songs on my phone encompassing my entire taste and hit shuffle, there would be no telling what would pop up. Musicals? Online songs people wrote about video games? Edgy shit? No fucking telling my taste is whatever sounds good, like I like Cats (original London cast thank you very much) and Music Man and Chicago (at least musically never seen the show) and The Lightning Thief and Be More Chill and Mean Girls; and then I also really like a good chunk of what Random Encounters has produced like I still have stuff of theirs I don’t like but it’s mostly old stuff that came out before I subscribed and then I like a lot of The Stupendium’s songs and his style is all over the place (I played some of his songs to a friend in the car recently and she wasn’t really listening to the lyrics as much as just the song and she said I listened to weird music and like...yeah I guess having Vault Number 76, It’s A Joy, and The Fine Print in the same playlist would be kind of weird if you didn’t know they were by the same person lmao he has great range and songs I started off not liking that I’ve listened to more times I’ve grown to like, like the weird-sounding ‘Joy’ in It’s A Joy’s chorus is supposed to sound funky and wrong because that’s the vibe of the game, and just the fact that I initially didn’t really like Way Deeper Down but I kept listening to it and now I love it a lot and it’s just really fun); and then there’s just a playlist someone made on Spotify called Creepypasta Songs and it has a lot of really good music like the ones I’m remembering right now are Bullet by Hollywood Undead (the lyrics are so fucked up but it’s so upbeat and catchy and that bridge has action hero vibes out of context), Counting Bodies Like Sheep to the Rhythm of the War Drums (yes I googled it and yes the title is that fucking long for some reason), I think Mama by MCR is on there too, probably Black Parade too, Blood definitely is, there’s a lot of edgy music there and it’s good music. (Oh I think Teenagers is in that playlist too. Going back and looking there’s also Boulevard of Broken Dreams, the version on some cast recording of a musical apparently, Duality, Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing, both of those two are from Set it Off and they’re really good too, there’s a lot there and most of it is really good, just wish that Madame Macabre’s Spotify releases of her classic songs weren’t so jarring, like if you’re going to redo your vocals don’t just leave the instrumental how it was initially, it creates this awful contrast when your voice is doing ‘cool’ stuff and the music is just kinda flat. Same goes fro the ones where she did a collab with someone else and their vocals aren’t redone, like I get the desire to make your old stuff better but it’s just really jarring how the audio quality is so different between the voices on the track, the duets I can think of that are so not great on Spotify but just fine on YouTube where they weren’t altered were her Skintaker song and Balloon Animals.
I feel like I had other things to say but I got distracted so they’re gone now.
Only other thing coming to mind is I did things on Wattpad and I have stories posted there and they make me cringe but I’m not going to delete them because I don’t think they have any personal information and for all I know someone could love them a lot and get really sad when they can’t find it again. I doubt it, but given that I, multiple times, have gone to look for something and not been able to find it because the creator deleted it, I really don’t want to do that to someone else. Because it sucks.

talking purely from the point of view of a petekey stan but... this is actually interesting to consider. Mikey does a terrible job at being expressive as an artist, or idk as a person in general, but given how freaky close the Ways are and how much they love each other, there’s a reasonable possibility of it being true. and this... this raises so many questions.
(disclaimer: these are just speculations i built from the theory that I Don’t Love You is a song written by Gerard in Mikey’s point of view. synonymously, i mean these are thoughts, what-ifs, ideas that bubble up in me, which i decided to put into words in my free time.)
i understand, again, that not every breakup/longing song MCR or FOB produces is necessarily the result of petekey (although, arguably, Pete is FOB’s songwriter + he never learned how to keep his thoughts to himself + “I’m sorry every song’s about you”). but yes, you are right. think about it.
(to preface, i believe the “I don’t love you” part is what Mikey would say to Pete)
the whole reason why Pete is so darn stubborn in his mourning of their hot summer relationship is probably because someone (basically his epitome of true love) stopped loving him, on the basis that ‘someone’ is Mikey lol. like, if he were the one who has fallen out first, would he be the sad clusterfuck of a songwriter that we know? (if you look at Fall Out Boy’s discography, at least 50% of each of their albums is about agonizing over the death of this amazing, mind-blowing relationship, otherwise described as “loved by everyone but you” kind of vibe.)
i got carried away, but the point is, someone stopped loving him, and Pete went(z) (hah, lol) crazy ever since. and still pertaining to this theory that Gerard wrote this song in Mikey’s perspective, the thing i asked myself immediately is... has Gerard ever supported whatever was going on between the two of them? maybe he felt neutral about it. or maybe i’m getting way too worked up over this (as usual).
also, i always had a feeling that I Don’t Love You fits the wonkiest in the album. the album depicts the story of a man with cancer. Dead!, Cancer, This Is How I Disappear, The Sharpest Lives, even Mama are examples of songs that make sense. but i could honestly never understand how I Don’t Love You fits in there or how to interpret it as a part of a storyline.
so yes, it’s entirely possible, if not a little farfetched. Mikey was never big in songwriting, so someone had to do it for him lmao. this, of course, is not what i 100% believe -- I Don’t Love You remains to me a random song that Gerard wrote. i’m just, ruminating, because it’s worth thinking about.
and yes, think about it. if I Don’t Love You were really a Gerard-style replica of Mikey’s feelings? oh how absolutely heartbreaking that would be. “I don’t love you, like I did, yesterday.” Mikey still loves Pete, surely, just not in that summer-horny way anymore?
lyric-wise, there’s nothing much to work from, but here are notable ones i cherrypicked:
And after all this time that you still owe (notion of time passing, Pete back then still actively seeking to mend their relationship) You're still the good-for-nothing, I don't know But baby when they knock you Down and out It's where you oughta stay (Pete has a tendency to become this explosive emotional mess that tosses info about his love life like flyers, and maybe Mikey never appreciated being anonymously put out there. someone-knock-this-guy-out-and-pray-he-stays-there vibe.) And after all the blood that you still owe (maybe they fought a lot at some point over what remains of their friend/relationship?)
So fix your eyes and get up Better get up While you can (in other words: move on, Pete. it’s time.)
sticking to the theme of Gerard writing this on Mikey’s behalf, maybe he didn’t have the best of thoughts about petekey :’)
anyways, the amount i think is twice the amount i talk, and in both case, it’s a lot. it’s just my take, i hope whoever reads this enjoyed my humongous blocks of words even a little bit.
for context, i was spiraling at 4 in the morning because ya know,,,mental health issues but whatever that’s not the point.
so i was thinking, how coool it would be if there was a life on the murder scene style documentary for the black parade. which in retrospect, it would actually be horrible because the production period of that album was just not a good time for them but thATS NOT THE POINT.
anyway, i was so high on sleep deprivation that i had a half-dream (like the kind you have where you’re still sort of awake) about like, a bunch of hypothetical scenes that would be in this tbp lotms movie. it was just like an interview sort of thing? if you know me, you know i’m terrified of all the paramour mansion stories because i’m,,,,flawed as a human being. so one of the scenes was just the guys talking about the paramour and stuff but the oThEr oNe-
was gerard saying that he wrote i don’t love you from like- mikey’s perspective?? because the whole thing is from the patients perspective right but,,,,gerard wrote it,,,,as if he were mikey- and dream-me was like,,,,petekey?? does that makes sense?? which. it doesn’t make sense. that’s why it’s not true. but imagine if it was??? think about it??? am i insane???

Some paladin headcanons yo
*HUNK* -He has anxiety which is kind of shitty when you have the pressure of /the whole universe's fate/ upon your shoulders -But he has been living with it for quite the time so he knows more or less what he has to do to calm himself down during a panick attack or a breakdown! -Still, there are moments when everything is simply overwhelming and he just need a shoulder to cry onto and someone to listen and rub his back (you've heard of Hunk helping Lance when he's homesick, now get ready for Lance helping Hunk when the situation is /just too much/) -He loves music with a passion (in part because it helps him with his anxiety), so he is the kind of friend who is ALWAYS singing. Humming some tunes while cooking or working on a new invent with Pidge, singing 80's pop songs in the shower; soft, relaxing ballades when someone in the team just can't sleep -Just imagine the paladins in an alien planet gathered around the fire and waiting for Allura and Coran to come pick them up, Hunk randomly starts singing a campfire song and everyone just goes with it -Coran teaching him some popular altean songs and being so excited when Hunk is!!! Genuinely!!! Interested!!!!! And now he sings them from time to time and it brings Coran, oh, so many memories -Okay so Hunk is a nice guy we all know that BUT let me tell you he ain't someone to mess around. Nu-huh. This one time Lance had one of his brilliant ideas for a late night plan and Hunk HAD warned him it would go wrong but Lance just wouldn't listen. In the end they both got grounded and Hunk was pretty mad at Lance so he decided to play a prank on him. Long story short, ended up without eyebrows. -Hunk then felt bad about it so he helped Lance every morning to paint them on his face until they grew back -Spoiler: as we all know Lance didn't learn his lesson -He has too moms! One of them (his biological mother) is samoan, the other one is british. He also has loooots of cousins. -He had some plants in his room back at home, sometimes he just wonders if they are doing well -Can't draw to save his own life -Has one one of this loud laughs that make you laugh too - *Keith*: -makes a super good comeback to some bitchy comment from Lance - *Hunk*: -Bursts out laughing super hard because that was just too good- *Lance* : -Betrayed Look™- *Hunk*: -Wiping off a tear- I'm sorry man, I just wasn't expecting that -When he is laughing a lot he will go into that Silent Mode™ where you can see he is laughing but he isn't really making any sound??? Also his belly will start bouncing -Once Lance made him laugh so hard he had to lay down afterwards -Have you seen the vine with the guy that says "So I'm sitting there, barbacue sauce on my titties..." and the girl loses her shit? That's them. *PIDGE* -Ticklish as hell. Literally _everywhere_ -Behind her knees and her armpits are her worse spots -This may seem adorable but *no*. She writhes and kicks when she's being tickled -She once hit Matt on accident while he was tickling her and made his nose bleed -Poor guy wasn't expecting that -She's a bit of a picky eater but mama & papa Holt raised her well so she always tries to eat everything when someone cooks for her -Back at home, Matt would be the first one to see her new invents, now Hunk and Shiro are! -She has never really had a crush, she isn't really interested in that for the time being, but she's starting to suspect that she prefers girls over boys -She suffers from migraines, and her head hurts a lot when she is tired -At that times she just needs to lay down in complete darkness and maybe a friendly hand massaging her temples -LOVES HORROR FILMS/BOOKS/VIDEOGAMES -Tbh she just loves anything related to horror and creepy stuff -She follows a bunch of youtube channels related to that -Has never shaved and doesn't plan on starting anytime soon -She is usually talks with memes and references to the pop culture. -She enjoys how practical and comfortable her short hair is but sometimes she looks at Allura or Keith and wishes she still had her long hair -She has an inside joke with Keith and they just start randomly singing the x-files theme and laugh their asses off - Lance: I can't find my jacket, I was sure I left it here yesterday Keith: -whistles the x-files song- Pidge: -snorts- *LANCE* -When he was a kid he watched HSM. It changed his life. -He became Sharpay, he knew all of her songs and dialogue by heart. P.5. HE WAS THERE. THE MEMORY LANE.
The idea of going down the memory lane was mostly taken from the Foundations lyrics and the Summoning video.
The Summoning video consists of various objects and references from all four MCR albums. What’s worth noticing is how the main character of the video seems to be travelling through the eras but also simultaneously causing them to intertwine. Especially the presence of Draculoids in all eras is a proof that the eras are all somehow connected.
Then we have the TFOD lyrics are: He was there the day the towers fell And so he wandered down the road
This brought the idea of Gerard reliving all eras of mcr on his own. The themes of the tour mentioned in this theory seem to corroborate the idea, too.
- Theme #1, Vampires: relates to the Bullets era - Theme #2, Religion: relates to the Revenge era - Theme #3, War: relates to the TBP era - Theme #4, Apocalypse: relates to the Danger Days era
As we weren’t sure if we were correct, we decided to wait. And it just so happens that the LA shows confirmed the suspicion:
Night #1 - Bullets night (with 6 songs from the Bullets album – Sorrows, Best Day Ever, Headfirst, Vampires, Skylines, Demolition Lovers)
Night #2 - Revenge night (with 12 songs from Revenge album – Bury me in Black, Not Okay, Give ‘Em Hell, The Ghost of You, I Never Told You, Prison, Venom, Deathwish, Cemetery Drive, Hang ‘Em High, Helena, Desert Song)
Night #3 - TBP night (with 12 songs from TBP album – This is How I Disappear, House of Wolves, I Don’t Love You, Teenagers, Kill All Your Friends, Heaven Help Us, Mama, WTTBP, FLW, Cancer, All The Angels, Sleep)
Night #4 - Danger Days night (with 9/10 songs from Danger Days album – Nanana, Planetary, Summertime, Only Hope, Save Yourself, Mastas, Destroya, SING – not performed, SCARECROW, Kids).
Makes you wonder - what exactly is planned for #MCRLA5? Just Conventional Weapons night, or something big, something that will allow us to leave the past in the past and embark on a journey into the future along with the boys? The future where freedom is allowed and no one needs to hide anymore?
Guess we’ll have to wait and see.

I could easily make an essay about each character's theme song and no one could stop me
Because why the hell not Ruby Raleigh - Na Na Na: It's an upbeat song about wrecking shit and it just screams Ruby for some reason. It's also the first MCR song I heard so, yeah Tigerlily Sunset - The Only Hope For Me Is You: Ashlily Blaze FireFlame - Heaven Help Us: Blaze is sort of the voice of reason among the paladins and actually takes action when situations get dire, but when they get too dire she really need Heaven to help them Ruri Lapizuli - Sing: I view this song as most fitting for Ruri as it gives a huge impact being one of the most famous Danger Days songs. I want Ruri to have a large impact on the story, and her role as of yet is to basically "Sing it for the world" Turquoise Zircon - The Light Behind Your Eyes: "So long to all my friends, every one of them met tragic ends" (OvO) Cobalt Zaffer - Famous Last Words: The title just happens to fit him as well as the actual lyrics, "I am not afraid to keep on living" it's also a bit of a good contrast between Turq's "I failed and lost this fight" Amethyst Violetta - This Is How I Disappear: Ame is a very... sensitive character, and part of her character development is literally her disappearing in some way, because she's always got a reason to disappear Rose Tourmaline - Welcome To The Black Parade: It's a sort of upbeat song with dark lyrics, I guess? It fits for what I have planned with Rose's character and generally sounds like Rose's story. It ties a lot into her character that I can't say due to spoilers Yin Blake - Save Yourself, I'll Hold Them Back: It's a Danger Days song that happens to just,,, fit Yin. She's basically a bodyguard with her own agenda, willing to save anyone. Also she has black hair and the song mentions black hair dye so welp Yang Blake - Bulletproof Heart: Developing Yang has taken its own mindset. Yang is an upbeat fellow with his own agenda who's never going to let people bring him down, and willing to save those he loves (Aka, one of the characters need to "come home") He's also very strong both physically AND emotionally, giving the idea that he has a literal "Bulletproof Heart" Ash Embers - Party Poison: It's a very upbeat song representing the main singer's character, Party Poison. According to someone, the song references other songs with song lyrics, something that Ash does very often Shiro - Welcome To The Bork Parade: He's a dog and Welcome to the Black Parade was the only MCR song I could find remixed with Gabe the dog Marengo Slate - Teenagers: As a gray, Maren is very vulnerable to a lot of shit that the paladins do. It's less about him literally being scared of teenagers, but it's more like he's scared of the shit that the people younger than him (The paladins, who range from late teens to early twenties, not counting Rose) do Blake Blackrose - Sleep: I find the tune a very haunting one, perfect to match Blake's developing character as a haunted/haunting character. A lot of the song fits Blake's past and his views about his past, a very haunting one. Also Blake doesn't really sleep as much as he should Jet Crow - Mama: Being part of Atropa means,,, a lotta bad shit is most likely gonna happen to them, and he KNOWS. Not only does he know this, he knows that everyone else us gonna get fucked up in some way, and Atropa's main theme is to "All carry on, when our brothers in arms are gone" So yeah~
