Modern!Steddie (This is based on something I read a while back on Tumblr about Eddie becoming famous, Steve getting doxxed, and years later singing Hozier's Francesca to Eddie. I'll look for the fic, and if I find it, I'll put the link here.) EDIT: This is the fic here, guys. I recommend reading it. (https://archiveofourown.org/works/48091627/chapters/121266283)
Steve has always been one of the popular kids, but not the kind of childish villains you see in movies. No, he was popular because he was handsome, had rich parents, was charismatic, and was good at sports. He didn't bully other kids, but he wasn't interested in them either.
He never felt the need to seek out new connections at school, because he'd had Tommy and Carol for years, and anyone new who wanted to talk to him would come to him. He didn't have to work hard to make new friends.
His time was spent on sports and the friends he already had. The occasional girlfriend, too, because he'd always been a romantic at heart and a lonely kid. Being best friends with a couple would also make him feel like a third wheel a lot, so having a girlfriend and double dates seemed cool.
Then he got into a fight with Tommy and Carol after that graffiti episode in the movies and they drifted apart. Tommy wasn't mean about it, but he was resentful and hostile, because they were best friends and it always sucks to lose a friend to a boyfriend/girlfriend who you think cheated on them.
After a year, when he and Nancy broke up, he, Tommy and Carol didn't get back together, but they weren't hostile, you could tell they felt bad for him. Steve wanted to be friends with them again, he just didn't feel right crawling back with his tail between his legs and he also felt guilty that they never reconnected before. He didn't want it to seem like he only got back together because he was single.
He's still popular, but now his best friends aren't around anymore and he got cheated on by his girlfriend, but he feels like he deserved it (let's just say the story they made up about Barbara dying was real and the trauma grew into a monster and consumed their entire relationship). So he feels alone.
He has the kids. But Dustin thinks he's awesome and he doesn't want to be anything less, Lucas also sees him as a hero, willing to take a beating for him, Max looks up to him as a big brother. Will is Jonathan's brother and has traumas, so Steve would never dump his problems on the kid. Mike is Nancy's brother.
All of his real friends are kids.
So, Eddie. Steve isn't lonely around school, he still interacts with other students, he's friendly with the popular crowd, a lot of people like him. He just has these moments where he seems sad and then suddenly he seems super chill again.
Anyone who looks closely can tell he's got a problem and pretends not to, but it's not obvious. Eddie doesn't think much of it at first. He actually finds it amusing, because he has a lot of shallow and superficial ideas about popular kids who conform to the norm and who are well-off.
Eddie comes over when he sees Steve reading a DnD rulebook. He mocks it a bit, but explains a few things and Steve, who has always been a social butterfly and never cared much about sitting at the same table as some group in the cafeteria, sits down with Hellfire.
Not with the intention of being their friend, just because he wanted to ask them questions, take notes and move on with his life. A brief connection, a friendly interaction. No different from his relationship with most people who are part of his social circle.
But Eddie keeps pulling him closer, invites him to join the Hellfire Club. Steve declines, because he likes the stories and wanted to learn about DnD because of the kids, but he feels insecure about being a player, about roleplaying, he's afraid of making the wrong decisions and ruining something that seems to be so important to their friends (both the kids and Eddie).
Eventually, they fall in love.
Steve graduates without much distinction and Eddie barely makes it, but they are free from high school. While Eddie continues to play concerts at the Hideout with the CC boys, Steve works at Scoops Ahoy and makes friends with Robin.
So, when Eddie decides to leave, Steve asks them to wait a little, to save up more money, to get better organized. If they stayed for a whole year, Robin could even leave with them. When Eddie doesn't agree, he says they can continue their relationship long-distance. After all, it's 2010 and there's technology for that.
Eddie leaves anyway, believing that Steve will regret it and look for him, understand that leaving is the right choice and blah blah blah. Steve can't leave yet, because if he moves out, if he doesn't follow the path his parents have laid out, he'll give up any illusion of family he might have had. His car is in his father's name, he doesn't have much savings, he's still not open about being bisexual and he's terrified of leaving his entire life behind. It's hard in Hawkins, but facing the whole world, the uncertainty, not having a home to go back toā¦ It scares him. Eddie doesn't understand, because if nothing else worked out for him, he could go back to Wayne and be welcomed with open arms.
One of Eddie's first hit songs is about a preppy, popular, charismatic kid who's the captain of the swim team and lives in Loch Nora who starts dating him in his senior year and gets stuck in a shitty job at the mall. It's easy to figure out who Steve is. People at school find out quickly.
I like to think Carol is the one who alerts him, goes to his job to tell him the rumors. Tommy goes with her. Although Carol is kinder and more open and Tommy keeps his distance, as if he might be infected, he also tells Steve to be careful, for old times' sake.
Either way, he becomes a target. The students tell their parents that they believe the hit song is about Steve. This story even gets around the church that his parents donate to and "attend" when they're around. His parents' friends find out. His business partners find out. His parents, too.
His parents suddenly move back home. It was a huge fight, with his mother accusing him of being possessed, suggesting a treatment to "cure" him. Mr. Harrington said it was due to a lack of beatings. Either way, it ended with him bleeding alone in the street.
A few days later, he and Robin managed to return to "steal" some of his belongings back, including documents. Other than that, he lost everything.
Mr. Wheeler didn't even want him to get close to Mike anymore.
For a while, he spends his days between the Hendersons' couch and Robin's bedroom floor, feeling like shit and listening to the music Eddie wrote over and over again.
After that, he sells his cell phone, his laptop, whatever he managed to keep. Robin also sells some of her things and the kids help with this small fundraising, selling cakes and sweets. Even Tommy and Carol seek them out, providing almost 50% of the money. That way, Steve is able to leave with a few months' rent saved.
Wayne also helped, because he knew that Eddie's music was responsible for this. Steve told him never to talk about everything that happened with Eddie, so Wayne kept it a secret.
I think Tommy, Carol and Steve could get back to being friends. Not the same as before, but they have lunch together every few months and they were the ones who helped Steve get a job in a new city.
A few months later, Corroded Coffin is well established, about to release its first album. Robin goes to college and Steve and she move in together.
That's when other people start to find out who Steve is too. It starts with a post on Reddit, people speculating about him, which is the central theme of several songs, although none are as explicit about his identity as the first. His parents receive some hate mail, they make a point of sending it to the Buckleys and Steve finds out. What hurts the most is knowing that his parents never gave him any of his belongings, but they found a way to let him know that people he didn't even know hated him.
He gets some hate messages too, because, although he deleted his old accounts, the new ones are easy to find through the profiles of people who knew him before all this. So, they're probably students from school, people know what Robin's social networks are, finding him.
There isn't much hate coming his way because he's careful to keep to the shadows, and thankfully the speculation about Steve Harrington being responsible for breaking Eddie Munson's heart doesn't go that far, after all, there's nothing to keep fueling those theories.
One of the things that connected Eddie to Steve was music. I like to think of Steve as a musician, like Joe Keery is. If Eddie can pour out his anger through music, he can also pour his heart into it. He writes Unknown/Nth and posts it to an anonymous YouTube account. He sings with an acoustic guitar, without showing his face.
For a while, this feels like closure.
Steve still gets hate mail sometimes, even though he deletes the old accounts and creates new ones. Everyone in Hawkins seems to know about him and Eddie. The kids, who hated Eddie for a while, have reluctantly started to admire him again. Steve reassured them about this, but they all remained bitter about everything that happened.
Steve, for his part, has vacillated between hating Eddie and hating himself. Most of the time, he still feels like he maybe loves Eddie a little bit, as if heās stuck on that last day they saw each other. Sometimes he blames himself for making the wrong decision. Other times he thinks that if he hadn't stayed in Hawkins, Eddie might never have made it big.
His feelings for Eddie are complicated.
So, about 5 years after the breakup, there's a documentary about the beginning of Corroded Coffin. Something not produced by them. Maybe by a fan? Who goes to Hawkins, talks to people, tells them about Steve, exposes Steve and it goes viral on social media.
His life goes to shit very quickly. Eddie doesn't even notice at first, because CC is on a world tour and they never have free time. Meanwhile, Steve becomes well-known on social media and gets some hate mail.
Things change a bit when someone, seeing old photos of Steve, posts on Reddit that they have a crazy theory: there's a song they've been listening to for years, that's a lost gem in the depths of YouTube and they swear that's Steve Harrington, because the moles match and you can see a Hawkins High jacket in the background. It's a pretty crazy theory, so it doesn't get much attention, but the song gains momentum.
Eddie finds out because, once he learned everything that happened, he started researching everything about Steve, trying to measure how much he ruined his life.
Assuming people find out that the song is really about Eddie, I think he could become the target of hate, almost as much as Steve did, because Unknown/Nth is a powerful song.
That's what I've thought, for now. They get back together in the end because Eddie's actions had terrible consequences, but he never meant to hurt Steve like that and the biggest culprits for everything that happened are his parents. The hate from the fans wasn't that intense until the documentary, so it was hard to notice.
Anyway, they have a long way to go. A talk to clear up their last fight, a lengthy apology from Eddie, reconnecting with the kids, getting back to being friends.
It would be terribly sad and difficult. It definitely wouldn't be a fairy tale, but they could learn to trust each other. Eddie could earn Steve's trust, affection, and friendship, and one day they could be a couple again.

Platonic gang all together how they react with a clumsy reader who is quite literally a hazard to herself. (So many stitches from cutting herself while cooking...literally falls into the curtis house everytime)
Summary: The Curtis gang with a clumsy reader
Warnings: none
Authors note: none
PONYBOY thinks your clumsiness is absolutely adorable. However, he's a little bit on the clumsily side, too, so you've both definitely tripped each other up once or twice. He'll always help you clean and dress wounds that you got from being clumsy (and other things), but thankfully your ditzy personality has made you clear of any socs trying to jump you, and that he's so grateful for because he would rather die then let something bad happen to you.
JOHNNY isn't clumsy per say but sometimes he spaces out and loses some spatial awareness. For example, he zones out when people talk to him, and if they ask him a question, he'll say the first thing on his mind. Two Bit has called him a dramatic detective getting a clue and you his clumsy and talkative apprentice before. However he'll always try and make things less of a hazard for you, cleaning up overturned books and furniture to make sure you don't trip.
SODAPOP thinks that you're a hazard to yourself. He's always trying to make sure that you don't hurt yourself, walking behind you and catching you when you trip or slip. He finds your nonchalantness about it to be hilarious, how you can trip, have him catch you, thank him and just continue walking. He will never let you walk alone when it's dark, he can't risk you having to stand off against a soc. It's not like your not strong, but he knows that you're tied to bad luck when it comes to those kinds of things.
STEVE lacks spatial awareness, but I wouldn't call it being clumsy, just being a dickhead. He keeps a mindset that he doesn't have to move for anything, just walking into whatever he pleases. But he will literally never do that when he's with you, he's always weaving in and around things that could potentially get you hurt. He's not as overseeing as a lot of the gang are, he knows you can handle tripping once or twice on your own and that he doesn't need to accompany you with anything, except for walking home at night.
TWO BIT could care less about whether or not you trip when you walk. He never put that fact that you were clumsy together, to him you're just you. After someone pointed out your clumsiness, he tried to be more aware of your surroundings. Making sure that your not in a potentially bad situation and being or watching over you if you were in one. But eventually, after he realized that you'd been through quite enough on your own that you wouldn't need him to be around all the time, he calmed down.
DARRY knows you're clumsy, he knows how to live with one too, (he's got 2, sometimes drunk, younger brothers). He'll move books and magazines from off the floor when you come over, and makes sure to sit by the door to help you on and off that one odd porch step that you keep tripping on. He thinks your clumsiness is cute, and quite honestly, nothing that he can't handle.
DALLAS thinks that your going to kill him one day. He associates clumsiness with bad luck and he's terrified that one day he's gonna like get hit by a truck or something. He refuses to let you go to any rumbles, partially because he's scared that your gonna make him lose but also because he doesn't want you seeing that. He won't help you wrap or bandage your wounds unless it super big, he'll comment about how cool that scar was gonna turn out and then does a sloppy job of bandaging you. He tries though.

You know how people have started telling their kids āif you get lost go find a goth/punk personā bc (rightfully so) like this wild cultural shift has led to us being seen as safe, trustworthy responsible ppl?
Okay
Well
It got me thinking about punk Steve (again. Of corse) and this being a single dad! Eddie steddie meet cute.
I donāt know whatās funnier. Eddie telling little Max and Dustin that if they get lost they should look for someone who looks like him/his friends, someone goth/punk/metal. Or his kids doing it on their own volition. Bc the housewives with their little strollers always give their dad dirty looks and mean sneers in the grocery store but the people who look like their dad and his friends are always nice to him.
However it goes, one day Steveās at the super market and he feels a small hand tug on the bottom of his battle jacket and a small voice say āexcuse me mister?ā
And he looks down and this little pippy long stockings kid is looking up at him with a wobbly lip and tears in her eyes and heās like instantly on alarm and panicked.
ļæ½ļæ½Hey friend, whatās wrong? Are you okay? Whereās your mom?ā
āI got lost and I canāt find my daddy and my brotherā
āHey, thatās okay, weāll find them together. Insta gonna be okay. What do they look like?ā
āUuuh. My daddy looks like you. But with more hairā. And Steve snorts a laugh because yup, that makes sense. Usually parents tell their kids to stay a million miles away from him at all times. Corse this kid is a punks baby. āWhatās your bother look like? He got hair like you? Whatās his name?ā
āDustin. Heās got brown hair and a big dumb hatā.
Steve snorts. āThink your funny?ā
And the little girl giggles. Cool. Good. Mission accomplished.
āSo weāre looking for dad and Dustin. Dustinās got a big dumb hat and dads wearing a jacket like me, yeah?ā And she nods. Cool. Okay thatās easy to find. āAnd whatās your name?ā āIām maxā. āThatās a cool name max. Iām steveā
And so Steve and the little girl make a couple laps around the grocery store calling out for Dustin, and finally, finally, they hear panting and squeaking rubber and āmax! Oh my god max! You scared the crap out of me!ā And this- oh. This gorgeous metal head is running up to the girl and pulling her into his arms, mumbling a string of ādonāt scare me like that againā and āIām sorry baby Iām so sorry babyā and āI was worried sickā.
Sure enough thereās a little kid, bout the same height as max in a big dumb hat next to him.
Metal head dilf finally puts max down whose now hugging dustin who looks just as distraught at their dad was, and the metal head finally takes Steve in.
A glint catches in his eyes.
āYou find this nice man to help you?ā He asks. And she nods.
āOh man, thank you so much Iām so sorry for the troubleā he apologizes. Steve just chuckles. āHey itās okay, Iām just glad we found you guys. Was getting worried for a few there. Iām Steveā Eddie takes the hand Steve extended. āIām Eddie, I swear to god I donāt usually loose my kidsā and steve laughs. āHey, it happens to everyone, donāt sweat it. Sheās okay, youāre okay, everythingās alright, yeah?ā
āI still feel so horrible for the trouble. Is there anything I can do? Please let me atleats buy you a coffeeā
Steve looks at his watch. He wishes he could. āIāve gotta get to work, im really sorry, im already cutting it close since, you knowā āoh, oh my god im so so sorryā
Listen. Listen. Steveās no saint. And there is clearly a lack of a wedding band on this guys hand and 99% of the time if a kid is at a grocery store itās with their mom. And some of those patches-
Steveās gotta try.
āHey, I really have to jet but um, hereās my number. Make good on that coffee some other time?ā
āYeah, yeah absolutely! Absolutely. Thank you, so much again. Youāre a lifesaver Steveā Eddie smiles taking the small paper Steve just wrote his number on. (A cocktail napkin from a gay club in indie he just happened to have in his pocket, a god ordained way of making sure they were both on the same page.

hiii! Could you do some sodapop headcanons?
Sodapop Curtis Headcanons!! š„¤ā ā”
Warnings - Mentions of death, some are a bit sad but these are general headcanons! These are mostly just little details, fun facts, and little scenarios I think would be accurate when diving into his character.
Authorās Note - Ask and you shall receive š¤²š». I have an entire list of headcanons for each character (each character means each character) that is at least a mile long in my notes app š. So ask away! Thank you so so much for the request, I hope you enjoy!! š½š½
āĖļ½” ā ā Ėļ½” ā ā Ėļ½” ā ā Ėļ½” ā ā Ėļ½” āąØā”ą§ā Ėļ½” ā ā Ėļ½” ā ā Ėļ½” ā ā Ėļ½” ā ā Ėļ½”ā
Itās a popular headcanon that he has ADHD (which I totally agree with), and I personally think thatās exactly why he believes heās ādumbā. Itās hard for him to focus due to his ADHD, and his grades were never really the best because of that. Heās a straight C student. (Me too, Soda, me too šš)
He got his Southern drawl from his dad and has the most noticeable one out of the entire Curtis family.
He gets along with literally everyone. He can make friends wherever he goes. Heās the type of person to create āsmall talkā at the grocery stores and continue to blab for ten minutes straight.
Ponyboy is his little pride and joy. He sees the way Pony looks up to him and finds himself feeling worthwhile having an influence on someone so important to him.
Soda was one of those people who couldnāt tie his shoes up until about fourth grade.
Soda is a natural empath, but when Johnny and Dallas pass, he canāt empathize for Ponyboy like he usually does. He canāt do it solely because he couldnāt fathom losing Steve. He has no clue what losing your best friend would feel like, so he canāt necessarily help Pony except for sharing a few reassuring words that theyāre okay now. Obviously he grieves over them too, but he was never as close to them the way Pony was. Especially Johnny. He just doesnāt understand the pain of losing both your parents AND your best friends so he feels horrible he canāt be much help for Pony.
Heās a very āgo with the flowā type of guy and doesnāt have a set plan for his life yet. 16-17 is still young to have your entire life planned out, but even then he just takes it one day at a time.
Heās so skilled when it comes to fighting, but he stays out of them unless absolutely necessary (like at a rumble) or when heās fighting one of the members of the Curtis gang.
Kinda piggybacking off of the last one, heās just not a very angry person. He only really gets mad when things get serious. Situations like when the socs pulled a blade on Ponyboy. Best believe he was PISSED.
Soda was such a mommaās boy ā¹ļø
I honestly think the countless compliments he receives make him feel like his good looks could get him somewhere in life. Like Ponyboy said - heās āmovie star handsomeā. He totally believes he could be some heartthrob.
Heās so patriotic. On the 4th of July this man will have a sparkler in hand at all times decked out in his red, white, and blue. Heāll try to fuck up some fireworks with Two-Bit and become so disappointed when the ābig explosionā is some rip off. (Honestly, I think all of the boys in the Curtis gang would be super festive on the 4th.)
Soda tries to hide the fact he uses chapstick religiously because heās scared heāll get teased. (This makes me think of how Ponyboy said in the novel that Johnny would be the only one to think of bringing soap š.) I just feel like Soda would assume someone like Dally or Steve would say āThatās so feminine šā or something similar, so he just hides it.
Soda is a blanket thief in bed. It aggravates the shit out of Ponyboy, but Soda canāt help it because heās such a heavy sleeper and doesnāt even realize heās hogging it.
Soda has always looked up to Darry because heās the ācool older brotherā. He wanted everything Darry had growing up (toys and clothing wise), and would try to be his little shadow. Darry ended up giving him a lot of his hand-me-downs and whatnot as the years went by, which Soda still owns/uses. He looks back and realizes that now and thinks āOh thatās so cool how Ponyboy looks up to me the way I did with Darry.ā SIGH š„²
Whenever the Curtis brothers save up enough to go eat out, Soda settles for his typical chicken tenders meal. It gets on Darryās nerves so bad because he did NOT work his ass off for Soda to order something he eats every other day. āDonāt you eat anything else? Try some pasta or something, I could easily make some damn chicken tenders at home.ā *big, dramatic sigh with the death grip on the fork*.
He can tickle Ponyboy all he wants but he canāt handle being tickled back. The giggling turns to yelling within seconds as a look of discomfort takes over his entire face.
Heās so used to his own scent that he doesnāt realize he reeks of pure gasoline. People can smell him a mile away, but heās literally immune to being able to smell it.
People liked him in high school solely because he was handsome. I just know he was such a troublemaker and couldnāt go ten minutes without trying to talk to someone near his desk. He was told he caused too many distractions and was deemed āannoyingā by most.
Corny ass. I know he practices his smile in the mirror before seeing Sandy.
His hands are super strong because heās constantly handling cars and whatnot at work. Theyāre also never clean. He constantly has all kinds of oils or lube (for carsā¦) on his hands from working on them so often.
His laugh is this really cute giggle, and his cheeks turn bright red when he smiles the tiniest bit. Heās just so š¤š»
I HAVE A MILLION MORE BUT I THINK THIS IS A GOOD STOPPING POINT. THANK YOU ALL FOR READING, I HOPE YOU ENJOYED! š¤š¤

you're not santa
i may or may not be having a small (this is a lie) crisis over liam believing in santa this year? i am 90% certain he doesn't actually believe in santa and just said he does because he thinks the cool gifts come from santa. meanwhile i am just trying to get the vibes on if i need two wrapping papers this year or not for the same amount of gifts. so anyways working through the feelings with putting the idiots in the situation as always, enjoy.

"You better be quieter this year," Steve slapped Eddie's still bare ass as he hurried to throw on his Christmas pajamas. "Almost woke Maddy up last year. You're lucky I was standing by the door."
Eddie rolled his eyes fondly. "Well, maybe if you hadn't turned the-"
"Just go!" Steve laughed, throwing a pillow at him with deadly accuracy.
Eddie threw it back at him with a smirk. "When I get back, I'm giving you your present."
"You already did, Eds."
"No, that was just one of them," Eddie rushed to say before leaving their bedroom and quietly closing the door behind him.
Both bedroom doors were closed across the hall, so he quickly made his way down the stairs to the garage, where all the gifts were hiding since Robin dropped them off earlier that day.
But when Eddie opened the garage door and flipped the light switch, a voice startled him into nearly turning and running.
"I knew it!"
Sammy.
Their oldest son had been acting very suspicious of Santa related discussions for months now, and Steve had warned him that he was getting to an age where a lot of his friends probably didn't believe in Santa anymore.
"Sammy, why aren't you in your bed?" Eddie put his hands on his hips, identical to the way Steve stood when he was about to have a very serious conversation with one of their three kids.
"Because I saw Auntie Rob bring in a big bag earlier and you and Dad were trying to keep us distracted. So I looked out here while you were cleaning up dinner and saw all these presents." Sammy was standing with his hands on his hips, a mirror image to Steve in every way down to the same swoop of hair and freckles across his cheeks. "And all of these say from Santa, but Santa wouldn't have even come here yet because he was in London one hour ago and London is at least four hours from here!"
Eddie bit back a laugh at how Sammy tried to explain his way through the Santa gifts being here.
"Can I tell you a secret?" Eddie asked, dropping his arms and sitting down on the ground, gesturing for Sammy to join him.
"I already know Santa isn't real," Sammy said as he sat, sounding absolutely miserable.
"What do you mean Santa isn't real?" Eddie asked, pretending to be shocked at the revelation.
"Really, pops? You're gonna act like Santa is real?" Sammy got the sass from Steve, too. It was both annoying and adorable. "I'm seeing the evidence that he isn't with my own eyes."
"Look, Sammy, can I call you Sammy?" Eddie smiled when Sammy let out a laugh. "Santa as you know him isn't real, you're right. But there is a Santa. He's just so busy and can't do it all in one night, so he has presents delivered early for some people, like you and your brother and sister. But he can't ruin the magic, so he left them at Auntie Rob's house for safekeeping."
It sounded airtight. Any kid who wanted to believe in Santa would definitely believe that.
"Dad. Seriously." Sammy was giving him The Look. "I'm nine years old. I have straight As. I'm not stupid."
Which was something Eddie knew of course. He was endlessly proud of all of his super smart kids who did a million times better in school than he and Steve ever did.
But he didn't think believing in Santa was a sign of a kid not being smart.
"You're smart enough to learn the truth, which is that Santa gives the parents a lot more control than we let you think. Don't you think it would be harder to get Maddy to do her homework if I said 'Dad will take a present away' instead of 'Santa is watching to make sure you do your homework'?"
Sammy looked out at the garage, the clutter of children's outdoors toys and broken Christmas decorations and bulk snacks for lunchboxes scattered around.
"So he just gives you the toys when he thinks we've been good enough for them?" Sammy asked, still sounding unsure.
"Exactly! And he usually delivers them a couple weeks early so we can make sure they're wrapped and ready for tomorrow."
"So why keep it all a secret?"
Damn Sammy for always being two steps ahead of Eddie.
"It's more fun this way! Olivia was so excited to leave out cookies before bed, remember? If we told her this, she wouldn't even get to be excited about Rudolph eating the carrots, right?"
"So Rudolph is...real?"
"Okay, that one might be a lie," Eddie gave in on that to sell the rest of it. That's what you had to do with Sammy.
"So who eats the carrots?"
"I take bites and spit them in the trash. You know I hate carrots."
"Why don't you make Dad do it?" Sammy leaned against Eddie's side, letting out a long yawn. He was probably sitting out here for the last couple of hours waiting. He had to be exhausted.
"Dad did a lot of that stuff when you were really little. For five whole years before we switched."
"So he sleeps while you bring out all the presents?"
Eddie's face went red as he thought about what Steve was probably doing in their room right now.
"Yep! He did a lot of baking and stuff all day today so I let him rest," Eddie wrapped an arm around Sammy as his weight became heavier against him. "I think you should probably get some rest, too. Santa wouldn't want your Christmas morning ruined because you stayed up all night."
"I guess." Sammy yawned again. "Can I sleep on the couch?"
"You know Dad's rule. Bedrooms only on Christmas."
"Yeah, but that was for the secret. Now I know."
"But Maddy and Olivia don't. We have to keep this a secret from them, okay?" Eddie paused when he heard some footsteps directly above them. His brows furrowed.
"Maybe Santa forgot one?" Sammy asked, perking up.
"Maybe. Better get to your bed so he doesn't see that you're awake," Eddie nudged him.
No sooner had the words left his mouth than Sammy was rushing out of the garage and up the stairs to his bedroom.
Eddie looked above him, but no more bumps could be heard.
After setting all the presents under the tree in a mostly organized fashion, Eddie got back to the bedroom, where Steve was fast asleep.
He got into bed carefully, not wanting to wake him up, but Steve's eyes blinked open slowly as he curled up under the comforter.
"Took you too long," Steve whispered.
"Sammy."
"What?" Steve's eyes opened all the way and tears were instantly filling them. "Does he know?"
"Sh," Eddie pulled Steve against his chest and ran his hands through his soft hair. "I'll tell you tomorrow. Sleep, love."
"Eds-"
They heard a small bump on the roof and then silence.
Steve sat up and looked out the bedroom window, then back at Eddie.
"What was that?"
"Must've been Santa," Eddie teased.
Steve rolled his eyes.
They both stayed up for a bit longer to make sure no other noises happened outside, but fell asleep when there was nothing.

The next morning, all three kids jumped into their bed, yelling about how many presents Santa brought them and how full their stockings were.
Steve and Eddie made their way downstairs, rubbing their eyes as the kids pushed them down on the couch while they started grabbing gifts.
By the end, the kids were so busy playing with new toys, they didn't notice one more present hiding between the fireplace and the tree. Eddie reached over for it, not recognizing the wrapping paper.
"Did Robbie say she was getting them something else?" he asked, holding the gift out to Steve.
"Nope," Steve took it, checked the tag, then handed it back to Eddie with a shrug. "Says it's for you."
Wayne wouldn't be bringing his gifts for everyone over until that afternoon, so who could this one even be from?
He opened it carefully, worried that it was a prank by Steve and the kids. It wouldn't be the first time they managed to pull off a prank gift.
The confusion only increased when he pulled out a small plastic replica of the London Bridge.
"You don't even like London that much. Who got you that?" Steve asked, resting his head on Eddie's shoulder.
"No idea."
Sammy looked up at them over the new book about planets he got and beamed.
"Santa brought you a present!"
Eddie was suddenly reminded of their conversation last night, how Sammy insisted Santa was just in London and couldn't possibly have made it here.
Eddie had seen a lot of weird things in his life, had ignored a lot of them and passed them up to weird coincidence, but this was different.
He set the replica on the table by the couch and wrapped an arm around Steve's shoulders, kissing the top of his head as he leaned further into him.
"Santa?" Steve asked.
"Must've been a good boy this year," Eddie smiled.
"Uh-huh. I'm sure you were," Steve kissed his cheek before turning back to watch their kids playing on the floor.
Maybe Eddie would have to write a letter to Santa next year to thank him for the gift.

The Avengers as High School Friend Group Archetypes
Tony Stark: Mentally ill friend. Made too many suicide jokes so his friends forced him into therapy. Flakes out on plans a lot. Either has a God complex or the worst self-esteem known to humankind. Freaks everyone out when he texts goodbye in the gc without context (he's just going on a business trip)
Bucky Barnes: Black cat. Hisses at everyone but Steve. Great at holding his boundaries but comes off aloof. Nobody is sure if he actually likes them but would secretly kill for all his friends. Hides in shadows and jumpscares everyone with his lurking. Secretly naps on Sam's bed when no one's looking
Steve Rogers: Mom friend. Always has granola bars, Tylenol, and a Tide to Go on him. Organizes the group hangouts and reminds everyone when they have a dentist appointment. Everyone's parents love him, "you can go if Steve's going" vibe. Constantly getting his friends out of trouble (secretly encourages them). His romantic life is a disaster
Thor Odinson: Gym bro. Eats eggs, chicken and rice everyday. Forces his friends to join him in the gym and comments about them not eating enough protein. Genuinely cares for their health, will get them out of bed for food and fresh air when they're sad. Goes through protein powder like Tony went through cocaine in the 80s
Peter Parker: Annoying little brother. Someone's mom definitely made them bring him to the big kid hangout. Everyone bullies him but he doesn't realize it, he just likes the attention from the cool older kids. Sam and Bucky hold him upside down from his ankles till he gets dizzy and Steve makes them put him down. Everyone is super protective of him when he's outside the friend group (hey, only we get to be mean to him)
Sam Wilson: Therapist friend. Gets way too many texts at 3 am. Extremely emotionally mature but laughs at fart jokes. Knows everyone's trauma and will use it against them if provoked. Strangers randomly vent to him in public. Gentle parents adults when they're upset. Nobody ever asks him how he is
Natasha Romanoff: Man hater. All her best friends are men and none of them are actually sure if she's joking about hating them. Mean but never takes things too far. Flirts constantly because she thinks it's funny but is really awkward and bad at it when she genuinely likes someone. Hates when someone treats her like a man / "one of the bros", wishes she had more female friends
Bruce Banner: Bad luck friend. Can not catch a break. Everytime they hear from him something new has gone wrong in his life. His dog threw up on his bed, his computer broke before a huge deadline, his favourite sweater shrunk in the dryer. Just a disaster of a human. Constantly has some minor injury, from inexplicable bruises to a sprained wrist. Never having a good day but tries to remain positive. Anxious
Clint Barton: Class clown. Will make a fool of himself in front of every pretty girl in his vicinity. Is actually only funny half the time, the other half he's just loudly wrong. Confidence is key for him. Can charm and talk his way out of anything. Will make everyone laugh at the worst moments. Women reject him because he has a girl best friend
Wanda Maximoff: Boy crazy. Is ready to talk about her crush, boyfriend, or situationship at any given moment. Is never single for longer than a month. Will not take shit from a man and makes sure her and her friends are treated properly. Surprisingly good at balancing her friendships and relationships, doesn't neglect people. Has Pinterest boards for her wedding, dream home, and decor. Wants to be a stay at home mom. Big Swiftie and went to the Eras Tour
Pietro Maximoff: Unemployed friend. Always doing the most random thing on a Tuesday morning. One day he's kayaking in British Columbia, the next he's joined an MLM scam. He has a new cat? He adopted him from Istanbul on that trip no one knows about. He's drinking fresh lemonade? He actually volunteers with disabled elderly and Doris gives him lemons from her tree. Knows how to cook a turkey. Unclear if he's homeless or not, usually sleeping on a friend's couch or at a random woman's place (still on the couch)

TALK ABT SODAPOP PATRICK CURTIS PLEASE AND THANK YOU š«¶š«¶š«¶
he has been my favourite fictional character since i was 8 years old guys i just,,,,. he is so special
guys come on now heās definitely got adhd
heās got a very sweet tooth!! he doesnāt think his cakes taste that bad at all but pony will never eat them, and darry doesnāt have the heart to tell him it tastes FOUL
heās a very big crier!! he cares very deeply about everyone in his life so i do think heās the type of person who cries when he sees someone he loves crying, and he usually ends up crying more than the other person
in my heart of hearts i see him seeking out a lot of meaningless flings after sandy left him, purely because he has this moment of āoh shit is it me? am i ugly or something?ā
pony and darry have to sit him down and go āno honey youāre actually disgustingly handsomeā
he doesnāt drink alcohol after one specific night where two-bit got him drunk on the most back alley stuff, and he couldnāt stop throwing up and crying,, darry nearly kicked him out for the night
i think heās probably quite drawn to films because he can follow the story along easier when itās visual,, so i think his room is full of film posters
he and dally will go back and forth insulting each other and then itās just like over ?? dally says heās trying to teach soda how to be more intimidating, while soda just thinks itās funny
he skips work a lot before and after his lunch break to go sit in two-bitās car at school and have lunch with the greasers, especially because steveās still in school so he gets pretty bored hearing the other dx employees telling the same stories over and over
this is so self indulgent and from a fic iām writing, but darry let soda keep their parentsā wedding rings and their motherās engagement ring, because he knows that if anyoneās gonna find someone to give them to, itāll be soda
he wears his momās rings on a chain around his neck because heās pretty scared heās gonna lose them
heās such an animal person,, steve gets to work and sodaās always squatting on the ground with some kind of stray animal
he knows pony thinks heās super cool, and he doesnāt want to ruin his brotherās vision, so he talks a big game in front of the gang
darry kinda lets him off when soda doesnāt go to work, because he knows soda finds it really difficult and overwhelming sometimes
he has been known to, and will continue to, give pretty girls their stuff for free at work, which annoys steve so bad because he knows HEāS the one whoās gonna have to do the inventory check and explain why so much stuff is missing
someone pls ask me about him visiting darry at college because thereās too much to go into in this post but i think about it every day in a really sad and tragic way

she'll be someone who is lovely (someone wonderful and true)
Summary: His brothers are super annoying, so Darry prays to God and asks for a sister. Note: god is mentioned so much omfg. content warning for that, but in my defense the curtis' did go to church before their parents died. im positive whenever he remembered he use to say his prayers before bed. anyways i digress heres the AO3, but its only like 499 words so its under the cut too
āJunior, go ahead and say your prayers. Iāll be back to tuck you in after your brothers.ā
Darry rolls his eyes and drags his feet all the way to his room. He didnāt mind saying his prayers before bed, but the mention of his brotherās did irk him a bit. He loves them dearly he swears it, but by God were they annoying today.Ā
First, Ponyboy kept bugging him to read with him and when he wasn't doing that he was constantly asking Darry stupid questions. Darry what's 120 times 89? Darry, can you pick me up? Darry, whyās a table called a table? Who named it that? Of course, once Pony got started Sodapop joined in on the questions too. Except his questions were more rodeo based and before Darry knew it he was being forced to take Soda to the races on Saturday. He was not at all pleased. He had plans on going to the arcade with Bev and Paul on Saturday; Bev was not going to be happy when he cancels on them.
Ā Heās getting distracted, heās meant to be praying not complaining. With a sigh, he closes his eyes, gets down on his knees, intertwines his fingers, and rests his forearms on the bed.Ā
āDear God, thank you for this glorious day. Please continue to bless my family and my friends because they're pretty cool too. I pray that the socās get nicer, because theyāre really mean, Lord. Whatās the deal with that?ā He pauses. What else does he need to pray for? Oh right. āAnd, not to sound ungrateful or nothing, Jesus, but can you give me a sister or somethinā? Pony and Soda are so annoying! They always wanna do what I wanna do, but sometimes I just donāt wanna hang out with āem. So, please give me a sister. Thank you. Thatās it, I know you got other prayers to listen to. In Jesus name I pray, amen,ā he finishes.
āP.S,ā he adds, crawling under his covers. Hopefully God wonāt mind the addendum. āPlease please please let her be nicer than them. I know Iām āsposed to tough and all that, but Soda and Steve keep on jumping on me and itās gettinā mighty annoying. Thatās all, in Jesus name, amen.ā
It was, in fact, not all. He kept adding to his prayers until he was fighting yawns to even get the words out. To be fair though, if God answered his prayer, He needs to know that Darry wants a nice and kind sister. She wouldnāt be gross or weird like the other girls and she wouldnāt make a big fuss about getting dirty like they do. And sheād have to get along with the guys; heās not too sure he could keep a sister if the guys didnāt like her.
Before he finally falls asleep, Darry decides to just write a list for God when he wakes up. That way God wonāt have to strain his memory too hard.

Chapter 5Ā
Eddieās POV
Eddie didnāt want to admit it at the time, but he was so nervous about having you over. Sure, you were over every weekend and usually it was the two of you alone, but never were you staying in his room. You always stayed in the living room or kitchen, both of you out in the open. He had sort of asked you in a spur of the moment need of a distraction. He would usually bother Nancy or Steve, but Nancy was headed to visit her little brother in the nearby town, while Steve had planned on sleeping over at Robās for their weekly movie nights. So he asked you, which wasnāt usually a big deal. But Eddie didnāt just like you or think you were cool. Eddie thought you were gorgeous. He often shook off the thoughts because he knew you were often stretched thin with both of your jobs and he was on the verge of failing a course, a relationship out of the cards for both of you. Plus, Eddie knew you were such an exemplary student and a high achiever. He was embarrassed to admit he felt ālesserā around you sometimes due to being a āsuper seniorā in high school and being older than you despite you both being Sophomores. Sure, being 22 in comparison to being 19 or 20 wasnāt a whole lot, but Eddie still felt some shame.Ā
Eddie raced around his room after his quick shower, panicking and trying to tidy the place a bit. He wasnāt extremely messy, just often disorganized. He hid his cuffs and ropes which had been left out after a previous encounter, along with putting away clothes and trying to make the room at least look presentable. You were headed to your dorm to grab some clothes and such, sure to be headed his way soon. When Eddie could finally see the floor and felt secure in knowing his special toys were in their box and shoved under the bed, he began to calm a bit.Ā
Wellā¦at least for a bit. But then his thoughts began to wander.Ā
Did you wear a bra to bed? Would you be okay with sharing the bed? Or should I take the couch? Would you cuddle? What if you did, without a bra, and- Shit.Ā
Eddie sat at his desk, his cock half hard, mind swirling with sinful images picturing you without a bra, one of his t-shirts on you. He imagined the way your breasts would move without the restrictive fabric, the way theyād feel against him with only a thin layer between the two of you. His cheeks flushed as he groaned softly, trying to shake the thoughts away. Eddie sighed and looked toward his phone, cursing himself for not thinking this through. Heād have to be cautious so as to not be so turned on with you here.Ā
He saw his cracked screen light up, his heart thumping at the sight. He picked up the phone, able to read the message despite his very fucked up cell.Ā
Bug: On my way!
He sighed softly and decided to head into the kitchen, readying the movies and snacks. There were sour gummies for you and chocolates for him, along with a bowl of popcorn and sodas and beer. He laid them out while staring at the movies he had picked. Most were cheesy retro slashers, both of you bonding one weekend over a love for goofy horror films like Killer Klowns From Outer Space and Frankenhooker. Eddie rented both films and was excited to giggle with you over the campiness of it all. He had placed all the snacks on the coffee table and made the movies ready to go when you knocked on his door, surprising him.Ā
He came up, opening the door, only to feel his chest tighten and his cheeks heat.Ā
You stood there, face free of the makeup you sported earlier, and clothes much more casual, a pair of pajama bottoms and an oversized shirt on your upper half, sneakers on your feet. You smelled fresh, like you had quickly showered and washed off all the sweat you had built up that night. But Eddie was really flushed at how gorgeous you still were dressed down. He also noticed one thing he knew he would have to pretend he wasnāt noticing.Ā
You didnāt wear a bra.Ā
You beamed at him, your smile causing the rest of the blood not already there to travel lower and his stomach to flutter.Ā
āYou gonna let me in, Munson?ā You joked, eyes glittering with mischief.Ā
Eddie stepped aside, grinning sheepishly, ushering you in.Ā
Good God, he was fucked.Ā
You and Eddie sat down on the couch, giggling at the ridiculousness of Killer Klowns and Eddie doing his best to make you laugh at his impersonations. By the end of the third film of the night (which had been Elvira Mistress of the Dark, whom you and Eddie both had a crush on as kids), you were both crashing from your sugar high and yawning, with you rubbing your eyes sleepily. Eddie ushered you to the bathroom, letting you brush your teeth and wash your face. You used the restroom, only to groan and open the door, clearly looking embarrassed.Ā
āEddieā¦I may have to go home.āĀ
Eddie walked over, frowning down at you. Only your head was peaking out of the bathroom, only leaving him to guess what was wrong.Ā
āWhatās wrong, Bug?āĀ
You looked like you wanted to melt into the floor, making Eddieās stomach twist. Were you okay? He felt a sense of fear wash over him as he worried that maybe he pushed you too far.Ā
āY-yeahā¦I just, ugh, I- I got my period,ā You mumbled, looking away.Ā
Eddie felt a wave of relief and sighed, smiling softly at you. āOh thank God. I have stuff in the bottom cabinet closest to the toilet. So donāt worry about it. But Iāll drive you back if you feel uncomfortable.āĀ
You looked up in surprise and smiled softly, still looking a bit embarrassed. āOh. Okayā¦Uh, Iāll-Iāll try to stay.āĀ
Eddie smiled and went back into his room, changing into his comfortable sweats and loose cut off Metallica shirt. He was in the process of fluffing his pillows when you came in, looking at him inquisitively.Ā
āWhat?,ā He cocked his head at you, confused.Ā
āWhatās up with the minor convenience store in your bathroom cabinet?,ā You teased, sitting on the bed by him.Ā
Eddie froze up. You were referring to āthe basketsā. Eddie would be honest, he knew he āgot aroundā. He used sex in college as a form de-stress, a way to break away. He started last year as a freshman when he discovered that girls and guys alike in Hawkins liked rough around the edges men who wore makeup and played in bands. In high school, Eddie was āThe Freakā and consistently treated like some kind of weirdo. But in Hawkins? He was viewed as a devil's food cake, delectable and sinful. The ābasketsā had started as a little thing that Eddie did when having people over, so he could be the most amazing host. There was shampoo, deodorant, tampons, pads, midol, ibuprofen, salve, and more in the little gray tubs, all organized and neat. The ābasketsā were split into masculine and feminine products, seeing as Eddie swung either way. He wasnāt ashamed of it, but felt something stir in his stomach about you knowing about his hookups. He hadnāt had many once meeting you, aside from Chrissy a few times. But she never came over, and heād truly slept with her maybe 3 times.Ā
āItāsā¦Uh,ā Eddie scratched the back of his neck sheepishly, looking away. āItās for when people come over.āĀ
You nodded, looking away nonchalantly before your eyes began to grow wide in realization, probably remembering the morning after pills stashed beside the period products. Eddie felt his stomach twist as you laughed a little, your eyes glinting with mischief.Ā
āEddie. Darling. Light of my life. You have a Hookup Basket?!,ā You giggled, looking over at him in shock as he pouted.Ā
āHey, I just want to make sure people are comfortable when they are here,ā He defended himself weakly, blushing red.Ā
āEddie Munson, you are a manwhore. Lovingly, you are such a manwhore. This is the first time I have ever heard of a hookup basket,ā You teased, Eddie pouting at you.Ā
He hit you softly with a pillow before getting up and heading to the bathroom, cheeks still red as apples.Ā
āWhatever,ā He grumbled, pouting still.Ā
āBe sure to floss, manwhore,ā You teased, leaving Eddie to groan in the bathroom as he brushed his teeth.Ā
Youād never let him live this down.Ā
Eddie sat in his bed next to you in the middle of the night, mind racing. He was woken up by a nightmare of failing all his classes, only to show up at a party naked, both you and Chrissy there laughing at him. It was a silly nightmare, truly, but Eddie couldn't help but be terrified of the reality. He was staring at his phone and reading a book when you sleepily sat up, eyes barely opened. Eddie wouldāve thought it was the cutest thing ever if he wasnāt still panicking over his life choices.Ā
āEds? Whatāre you doing up?,ā You grumbled, eyes squinting at him in the dark. Your voice was slurred and drowsy still.Ā
āJusļæ½ļæ½ had a nightmare ās allā¦Go back to sleep, Bug,ā Eddie whispered softly.Ā
You sat up a bit, frowning at him. āNightmare? Is everything okay?āĀ
Eddie sighed, putting down his phone and looking at you. The room was dark, only the dim light of the moon shining through the blinds to let him make out where you were. His chest felt tight. Maybe he could tell you what was wrong.Ā
āHave you ever wondered if you made the right choice? Or whether or not everyone was actually right in what they said about you?,ā Eddie asked, heart thumping. He didnāt feel like you would relate, but he still wanted to get his feelings out. You stared at him silently, eyes begging him to continue.Ā
āI spent all this time in high school struggling only to finally make it to college at 20 and fail. I hate my fucking major, but going into just music is āimpracticalā and Iām just going to wind up flunking and dropping out, disappointing Uncle Wayne by turning into my father-ā Eddie was surprised by the blurred vision and tears falling down his face. His voice was cracking and shaking. He hadnāt spoken to anyone about this really, not even Steve.Ā
Eddie felt you grab his hand, softly squeezing. He sighed, tried to regulate his breathing, before continuing.Ā
āI almost signed up for Music Therapy when I first applied here. But everyone I spoke to suggested Production. Wayne, my advisor. And even the idea sounded cool. I could earn money and get to work with big names I love or meet new ones and help make music. Butā¦godā¦it feels so soulless. I feel dread walking into those classes and the only thing that has kept me going is guitar or those snotty and bratty kids I teach at The Ghost Note, ā Eddie laughed humorlessly. His hands were shaking as tears still fell down his cheeks slowly. āI just donāt know what to do. Iām supposed to be the first gen student. I donāt want all of Wayneās work to be for nothing.āĀ
You stayed quiet for a moment, rubbing the back of Eddie's hand soothingly before speaking.Ā
āLook, Edsā¦I donāt know much about music or even production. But what I do know is that you are an amazing teacher. I see your eyes light up when I finally nail something andā¦honestly? Itās an amazing feeling. And sure, youāre older than most sophomores, but who cares? Some people donāt get a degree until theyāre like 40! And youāre blazing the trail for your family. Honestly, I think youād do amazing in Music Therapy or Education. And plenty of people change their major. Donāt just stick to it because itās āpracticalā. You deserve to love what you do, Eddie Munson. And no matter what you decide, whether itās that you want to drop everything and suddenly move to California and be a rockstar, or you want to teach āsnotty nose bratsā how to use music as an outlet like you do, Iāll be proud.āĀ
Eddie felt his heart be squeezed and his stomach twist. Could he follow his heart? You sure made it seem so. Eddie had always assumed he needed to āman upā and do what was needed, but you made it seem so easy. Maybe he could turn this around.Ā
āThanks, Bug.āĀ
āYouāre welcome, Stinky. Now go the hell to sleep, you barely get enough as it is,ā You yawned, laying back down and still facing Eddie.Ā
Eddie scrunched up his nose, frowning. āStinky? What the hell do you mean? You always ramble about how I smell like apple pie!āĀ
You giggled softly, face already nestled in the pillow. āYou definitely farted in your sleep at one point. I heard it when I woke up to go pee.āĀ
Eddie felt his cheeks heat to unimaginable degrees as he huffed and laid down, turning his back to you. āLiar. I did not,ā He grumbled.Ā
You sighed, laughing a little before tugging gently at his messy bun. āGo the hell to sleep, Stinky. We can debate your farts tomorrow.āĀ
Eddie tried to keep a pout on his face but couldnāt stop the slight smile as he heard you begin to doze off before him, your light snores filling his room.Ā
Heād tease you about it in the morning.Ā

Steve and Stella were not planning on having another after all the kids within The Tower already but when a certain lovely girl showed up in their lives, well, they couldn't say no...
Marianna Strange-Rogers š³š©°š§šŖ
Faceclaims: Luna Blaise/(younger) Julia Buttersļæ½ļæ½
Full Name - Marianna TheodosiaĀ S. Rogers
Nicknames: Mari, Mar, Anna, Ani, Theo, Sia
Age: 4-21 (depending on the story)Ā
Ā Appearance:
Hair: Dark, chestnut brownālong with soft waves, maybe just a bit of a messy, "I didnāt try too hard but look how cool I am" vibe.
Eyes: Warm brown, almost amber in the light, with a hint of mystery. There's a sharpness to her gaze that hints at intelligence but also a bit of guardedness.
Build: Slim but athletic; sheās not necessarily super muscular, but she has the body type that suggests sheās always on the go, maybe active in a variety of waysārunning, dancing, etc.
Style: A mix of laid-back, sporty, and edgy. She likes wearing leather jackets, vintage tees, and sneakers, but occasionally wears something a bit fancier when she wants to throw people off or to fit in with her brothers' circles. A bit of a ādonāt care but still careā vibe.
~~~~
Personality:
* Quiet, Charismatic: Sheās the type of person you notice without realizing why. When she speaks, people listen. Her charisma isnāt loud or obviousāitās the kind that creeps up on you. She can make an entire room feel like itās focused on her with just a subtle look or a well-timed comment.
* Bravado & Insecurity: Mariannaās been through enough to have built up walls. She has this strong exteriorāsheās witty, bold, and has this "I can do anything" attitude. But deep down, sheās dealing with insecurities that she keeps hidden. She masks it all with humor and confidence, so no one really knows what sheās struggling with.
* Introverted Yet Outgoing: This is such a great paradox for her. Sheās the kind of person who can walk into a room full of strangers and quickly become the center of attentionābut sheāll only let certain people really in. She values her alone time, and sometimes, all that attention drains her. She has an inner world that she keeps mostly private, but her moments of connection are intense and deep when she opens up.
* Adrenaline Junkie: She thrives on pushing her limits. Whether it's something physical, mental, or emotional, she seeks out challengesāsometimes in risky ways. She probably has a love for extreme sports, fast cars, or sneaking out late at night to do something a little dangerous. Itās a way for her to feel alive and to prove to herself that she can handle whatever comes her way.
* Kind-Hearted: Despite all the bravado, Marianna is genuinely kind. Sheās the type to defend the underdog, help out when no oneās looking, and do small acts of kindness that make a big impact. Her kindness doesnāt always come across immediately, because she hides it under layers of humor and toughness, but itās there.
Parent Dynamics š«
Father: Steven Grant Rogersš§¢ (FC: Chris Evans ā Warm, supportive, and creative)
Profession: While Steve Rogers is obviously known as Captain America, he doesnāt want that life to define his children. Before everything that happened, Steve was an art student, and he actually has a deep love for creative expressionāwhether through painting, sketching, or sculpture. He believes in the power of creativity and wants his kids to have the freedom to pursue their passions without the weight of his own superhero career hanging over them.
Personality: Steve is still the moral center of the familyāheās strong, reliable, and a protector by nature. However, in his family life, heās much more relaxed and encouraging. He values freedom and individuality above all else and has always worked hard to give his children a sense of normalcy, despite the chaotic world they live in. Heās warm and patient, and while he might not always understand every choice his kids make, he supports them no matter what. Heās not pushy about following in his footsteps, and heās not trying to recreate his own āgreatnessā through them.
Relationship with Marianna:
Encouragement of Freedom: Steve doesnāt expect Marianna to be a hero or to follow in his artistic footsteps. What matters to him is that she is true to herself and follows whatever path she feels passionate about. He encourages her to exploreāwhether itās through art, sports, academics, or other creative ventures. However, because of his own complex past, Steve might worry that Marianna wonāt have the space to fully explore who she is in a world full of expectations. He wants her to feel free to make mistakes, take risks, and grow, just as he wishes he had had the chance to do before becoming a soldier.
Emotional Support: Steve is a father whoās there for his children when they need him, offering guidance in the form of āreal talkā about life, love, and finding oneās true purpose. He never pushes them to be heroes, but he doeswant them to be good, kind, and authentic people. Marianna, in particular, might have a strong emotional connection to Steve because heās always been the one to let her figure out who she wants to be, even if it frustrates her at times.
Mother: Estella Sophia R. Strange š² (FC: Anne Hathaway ā grounded, nurturing, practical)
Profession: Estella is a nurseāpractical, nurturing, and deeply empathetic. Sheās the type of person who genuinely loves helping others, and while sheās not involved in any mystical arts, sheās deeply rooted in the real world and the tangible. As a nurse, sheās seen her fair share of suffering, and her career is one of service, but she is not a perfectionist. Instead, sheās a figure of stability, providing a calming and loving influence on the family.
Personality: Estella, is darling, emotionally intelligent, and multi-faceted. She can be warm and kind-hearted one moment, but her fierce protectiveness can cause her to snap when she feels out of control or when her family is threatened. Her temper is quick to flare, and her insecurities sometimes get the better of her, leading to moments of irrationality however her heart is always in the right place.
Relationship with Marianna:
Gentle and Supportive: Estella is one of the more emotionally available of the adults. Sheās the one who will sit with Marianna when sheās feeling down or confused, offering advice with a gentle touch. Estella never tries to push Marianna in any one direction but instead listens and lets her figure things out in her own time. While she is more grounded and less likely to encourage risks the way Steve might, she still respects Mariannaās need for freedom and individuality.
Practicality vs. Spontaneity: Estella might, at times, be a bit worried about Mariannaās more reckless or spontaneous sideāsheās seen the dangers of the world and might be protective. However, she knows that her daughter needs space to explore and make mistakes. Her approach is often to teach Marianna the practical aspects of life, like responsibility and taking care of oneself, while allowing Marianna the freedom to choose her own way.
The Brothers š²
Bradley James Rogersš¼ (Older Brother ā FC: Darren Criss / Younger FC: Asher Angel)
Role: The oldest sibling, a musical theater enthusiast with a tough exterior and a soft, sensitive heart.
Dynamic with Marianna:
Emotional Anchor: Bradley is protective of Marianna, though he gives her space to make her own decisions. His playful, theatrical side often draws Marianna in, making him the brother she can turn to for advice about love, relationships, and personal growth.
Creative Support: As someone who is deep into the arts, Bradley encourages Marianna to explore her creative side. Heās always there to help her feel validated in her expression, whether itās through writing, acting, or any other artistic outlet she gravitates toward.
Connection: Though he can be tough on the outside, Bradleyās real strength lies in his ability to see through Mariannaās walls. He gives her the emotional support she needs, even when sheās struggling with self-doubt or insecurity. Whether theyāre goofing off together or having deep heart-to-heart talks, Bradley helps Marianna feel like she can conquer anything.
Kendall Perseus Rogers š (Older Brother #2 ā FC: Austin Butler / Younger FC: Walker Scobell)
Role: The ambitious and driven younger brother whoās into hockey and always striving for excellence, whether itās in sports or personal growth.
Dynamic with Marianna:
Motivator: Kendall pushes Marianna to challenge herself, often encouraging her to take life more seriously. Heās all about hard work, discipline, and going after what she wants, but he does so with a tough love approach that Marianna sometimes finds a bit intense.
Adrenaline Partner: While his focus on hockey might seem worlds apart from Mariannaās creative endeavors, they both share a love for pushing their limits. Whether itās taking risks or indulging in something wild, Kendall encourages her to embrace her fearless side.
Supportive with a Twist: While Kendall isnāt always the most emotional, his support is unwavering. He might not always know how to express it, but Marianna can count on him to back her up when it matters most. His ambition and drive push her to challenge herself and overcome obstacles.
āāāāāāāā
The Aunties & Uncles šÆ
Uncle Thiago Strange š©ŗ (ā FC: Hugh Dancy)
Role: Thiago is the calm, intellectual uncle (tio) who offers Marianna a sense of grounded support. Very much the opposite to Leo. As a doctor, heās logical and thoughtful, teaching Marianna the importance of balance and perspective in difficult situationsāhe loves her to death!
Dynamic with Marianna:
Guidance with Practical Wisdom: Thiago is the one Marianna goes to when she needs clear, reasoned advice. He helps her think through her decisions calmly and rationally.
Steadying Influence: In moments of emotional chaos, Thiago is a quiet, stabilizing presence. He encourages Marianna to trust her own instincts while staying grounded in reality.
Unspoken Bond: Their relationship is built on quiet momentsāsharing coffee, discussing plans for the future, or even just spending time together in peaceful silence. His support is calm but always present.
Aunt Natasha Romanoff š(ā FC: Scarlett Johansson)
Role: Natasha is the tough-love aunt, direct and no-nonsense. She challenges Marianna to face difficulties head-on, teaching her resilience and independence.
Dynamic with Marianna:
Tough Love: Natasha doesnāt sugarcoat things. Sheās blunt but always with the goal of pushing Marianna to be stronger and braver.
Adventurous Mentor: Their bond is built on shared physical activitiesāwhether sparring or adventuring. Natasha encourages Marianna to embrace risk and not shy away from challenges.
Empathy in Action: While tough, Natasha also has a deep understanding of Mariannaās emotional struggles. She shows her strength not just in action but in her unwavering belief in Mariannaās potential.
Uncle Bruce Bannerš§¬ (FC: Mark Ruffalo)
Role: Bruce is Jen Waltersā (She-Hulk) cousin, and she is Leo Strange's partner, making Bruce to be Estellaās brother-in-law. His relationship with Marianna is a bit more distant, but heās still a significant figure in the family. Bruce's connection with Marianna is more through his bond with Jen and Leo than direct blood relations, but heās still a beloved member of the family.
Dynamic with Marianna:
Intellectual Connection: Bruce would offer Marianna a space to discuss her inner world, especially as it relates to understanding herself and her place in the family. While heās less likely to push her to take responsibility for her actions like Maria Hill or Natasha, he would help her see her own emotional struggles with clarity and might encourage her to think more deeply about how her actions affect those around her.
Compassionate Advice: Bruce has likely dealt with plenty of personal demons (especially his Hulk side) and might help Marianna understand that itās okay to feel conflicted, but itās how you manage those feelings that matter. His empathetic side can help Marianna open up about her insecurities, making him a safe, calm uncle to confide in.
Subtle Mentor: Bruce would likely try not to give unsolicited advice, instead waiting until Marianna asks for guidance. But when he does step in, his advice is thoughtful and meaningful. He would encourage Marianna to accept and embrace all parts of herself, including the darker or more conflicted parts of her personality, rather than suppress them.
Aunt Maria Hillš (FC: Cobie Smulders)
Role: Maria is Natasha Romanoffās wife, and thus a direct aunt to Marianna. As a high-ranking SHIELD agent, Maria provides a grounded, strategic, and disciplined influence in Marianna's life. Maria and Natasha have built a life together, and as a result, Maria is a steady, reliable figure who complements Natashaās more intense, hands-on approach.
Dynamic with Marianna:
Tough, Tactical Mentor: Maria is the one who teaches Marianna how to control her impulses and think strategically. When Marianna gets caught up in the thrill-seeking side of things, Maria helps her step back and assess the situation logically. Sheāll teach Marianna to stay focused on the end goal, even when distractions arise.
Supportive in Silence: Mariaās love is often shown through her actions rather than words. She doesnāt always say "I love you" or express her feelings openly, but sheāll back up Marianna in any way she canāwhether itās taking care of logistics, offering advice on personal growth, or stepping in when Marianna needs a steady hand in an emergency.
Mentorship Through Structure: Where Natasha might focus more on physical endurance and emotional resilience, Maria provides structure. Sheāll give Marianna guidance on how to stay organized, how to be disciplined in her pursuits, and how to approach challenges with a calm, measured mindset.
-----
Bonus: When Marianna was still very young, Thiago decided to mess around with her and make Stella annoyed soo...
Stella sat in front of toddler Mari and smiled, "Ma-ma, or Ma-mi. Can you please say one of the two, baby?"
Marianna nods as she giggles in response, "Pe-pa!"
"No! It's mami...wait, who told you 'Pepa'?"
"Tio!"
"Ugh, Thiago.."
Meanwhile Thiago is snickering in the living room to himself with Liane and Natasha.
-----
Of course we got a long list of family members but we will be here ALL day! So feel free to add onto this post with your own thoughts and additions. š
Can I request the Curtis siblings with a sister who is obsessed with her looks
Summary: The Outsiders with a Curtis sibling who's obsessed with her looks Warnings: none Author's Note: none PONYBOY CURTIS He doesn't mind having a sister who is obsessed with her looks, as long as you don't get in his way when he's getting ready for school in the morning. He doesn't usually do a big routine before school but he hates being late so he prefers for you to stay in your corner and for him to stay in his. There's definitely a corner of the room that's totally dedicated to you and your makeup desk that your parents got you when you were just a little girl who liked to play with makeup. He's not ashamed of you as his sibling, especially since you always look super put together and well dressed. Sometimes you're even a ticket out of him getting cut up by some socs. Of course, being pretty makes you a very underestimated girl, sometimes Pony can forget that you can keep up with him while he's running and you get top marks. He remembers and then he just is so happy that he has some friendly competition. JOHNNY CADE He doesn't usually interact with you, Dally's got the idea that 'all girls are the same' nailed into his head. But he's friendly and open when you two talk. He's pleasantly suprised at how genuine and kind you are. He forgets that Dally's seen some rough things but also tends to exaggerate. So as his way of 'making up for it', he spends a lot of time hanging out with you. He did develope a little crush on you when he was younger, like WAYYY younger. But it was more of a "wow, it's a girl!!" kind of crush and it didn't amount to much. Currently, you two are rather close and when Pony's busy and he has nothing to do, you two will go out and just goof off and have fun together. SODAPOP CURTIS Unsuprisingly, Soda's pretty apperance-obsessed as well, he's like the 19--s version of men using hair masks as shampoo to get their hair shiny and smooth. Of course a lot of times those 'hair masks' are yours. You get along quite well despite the fact that sometimes he uses your stuff like he bought it. Which he probably did, he got it under the guise that it was for you but actually he bought it to test it. He likes to do face masks with you, it relaxes him and he genuinely likes taking care of his skin because he actually had some pretty bad acne in like middle school. You two get along realllly well, probably the best out of all your brothers because of this shared hobby. You do have to worry about some of your stuff going missing though. STEVE RANDLE On a scale of "How much Steve likes you," you're inbetween Pony and Soda. Pony being he's literally trying to blow that kid up with his mind and Soda he's frolicking with. He likes you because you're a Curtis, they're all cool and he likes you better than Pony because you don't give Darry and Soda heart attacks when things happen. You and him don't really interact much, only when he swings by the Curtis house. Sometimes he likes to look at your makeup and stuff but that's really all the interactions you've had. TWO BIT MATHEWS You and Two Bit are twins because you and his sister are twins. Like you two go out and have girls days because you're the only girl-siblings. He'll sometimes tag along because his mom makes him, so he'll buy you two ice-cream and stuff like that and maybe help you do his sister's makeup/face-paint. He genuinely really enjoys how you two get along, and tells you that when he gets really drunk. Because of that, you two have a strong bond. Sometimes he'll take you out some places without his sister, as friends. He's really grateful for your influence and he's also grateful that you're willing to spend time with him and his family. DARRY CURTIS
He secretly really likes the fact that you're well put together, because it shows that the gang isn't influencing you to become a 'bad person,' (for example, drink too much, let yourself go, like that stuff, not that Darry wouldn't love you if you were a tomboy LMAO) It also really reminds him of his mom, how she would spend a good amount of time putting herself together meticulously, sometimes even putting some blush on you and Darry when she caught you two watching for too long. Of course, its hard for him to afford your lifestyle, he's barely scraping by with two jobs and he always feels sooo bad for letting you down when you want to get something. He tries his hardest to make up for it with quality time, but you remind him that even though you really care about your looks, you care more for the family's security and that he doesn't need to 'make up' for the fact that you guys aren't broke because of a new foundation. DALLAS WINSTON To Dallas, you're just another girl. Doesn't matter if you're a Curtis, and/or part of the gang. He doesn't really care much about you, you're just another girl. He's definetly seen you in a 'I would date her' light, but quickly shut that down because a) Dallas is only into dating for one thing, and b) you're a curtis, and Darry would BEAT HIS ASSS. Sometimes you guys get along really well, especially when he's drunk and tired so he just lays on the couch and does nothing while you apply some fancy serum on his face. But other than that you don't talk much, he'll say hi if you see each other outside, but that's about it.
Are there any Blueās Clues episodes that were particularly special to you as a kid (or still are now)? I remember really loving the one where Steve and Blue are hearing different sounds all over the house, like the thunder of a storm or all of the sound effects of a movie!
Oooh, I loved that one, too!
"Blue's Birthday" was really special as a kid since it gave you that same excited feeling you got when your birthday was coming up. I had a Blue's Clues birthday party when I turned three and I remember my parents singing me the birthday song from the episode. This was also the first Blue's Clues VHS I got (not counting recordings from Nick).
"Blue's Big Treasure Hunt" is another one because I remember it being such a big deal when it first came out! I remember having a book, t-shirt, poster, and of course the VHS of the episode! The album is also really good.
"Blue's Big Pajama Party" was super special because it was just so cool to see Blue's Clues being played at night, and I loved the entire cozy atmosphere of the episode. I was usually watching my Blue's Clues tapes at night, too, since dad and I would usually be out for most of the day since mom was at work and then we'd stop at Circuit City and he'd let me pick out a video- usually Blue's Clues, Peanuts, or Rugrats, and I'd watch it when we got home. Awesome album tying into it, too! "Bedtime Business" is an awesome song.
"The Baby's Here!" was special mainly because of its timing- the episode premiered right around the time my mom announced she was pregnant with my brother. I still remember watching the VHS of this one frequently in the weeks leading up to his due date.
"Magenta's Glasses" because I also wear glasses, and I think I was wearing them for about a year when the episode premiered. I liked seeing Magenta get them, too, and anytime Miranda showed up it was just special in general.
Also "Blue's Senses" is a little special to me since my dad taped it and some Little Bear episodes for me when I was REALLY little (I don't think the Blue's Clues tapes had even been released yet).
And then, of course, Blue's Big Musical Movie in general. THAT was special.
H50, season 5, episode 1 thoughts...
Whatttt?
Okay, I have seen this scene before. The boys obviously in some kind of therapy. I just, honestly thought it was part of the whole therapy episode that, I think, comes in a later season.
But apparently I get BOTH!
Danny: We have been together for three years
Steve: Four
The fact that Steve then corrects him down to the day. Yeah, someone's been paying attention.
Also, Steve in that blue button up. Mmmhmmmm.
This is so beautiful I just want to quote it all.
Sir Daniel.
The fact that this is how they're starting the season... it's an obvious recap of who everyone is for new viewers but ... really?? ... could they have made it any more mcdanno??
Steve: we're ohana
Danny: I guess I was just agreeing with him, for the first time
No matter how much they argue they're family.
This poor couple obviously something is gonna go wrong... and it did.
And just in case we haven't been able to tell from his general vibes, one of Danny's intro scenes is now him and baby Joan (I think, based on how short it is). Just so we know he's father material.
(And if it's Joan, interesting that him interacting with Steve's niece is considered important enough for his intro)
Kono and Adam being adorable.
Wait. Was she surfing with her phone on her ankle? I may need me a waterproof case like that that is actually waterproof!
Hey, Steve let someone else fly the helicopter.
Shaw: you must be Detective Williams
Max: I have given her the full heads up
Danny: you gave her the heads up on what?
Steve: it's all true
And now you know there's a drone... go put your vests on.
Steve and Danny teasing Jerry together. And Danny has to slap Steve's thigh while doing so.
I'm sorry, Jerry, but yes, people do still read hard copy books.
Book em Danno.
And Steve's been shot.
Oh, look at that, Danny's just the right height for Steve to put his arm around him and use him as a crutch.
Steve: I can't drive, Danny
Danny: oh really? There's a silver lining in the face of death. Fantastic.
Steve: my leg will heal. Don't get used to it.
Okay, but now we need some cool action for stopping the plane please.
Okay, that drone was cool. Even if I did was some super Seal shanenigans (but I guess Steve's been shot, so...)
But he's up and running anyway...
Go Danny! Nice shooting!
Okay, and that clip ejection and reload was hot.
Yes, Steve does need a loyalty program with every fifth bullet extraction free. Lol.
Also, I note Danny is the one allowed to push his wheelchair.
Max: I just explained to Dr Shaw that Commander McGarrett is the leader of five-0 and that you're his deeply cynical, misanthropic, short-tempered partner.
Max: Dr Shaw agreed with my assessment, however, she did think you were cute.
Steve: hey! *reaches his hand back for a fist-bump with Danny.
(Okay, but does Dr Shaw think Danny is Steve's cop partner or partner partner? Just asking)
Well, now they're setting up a whole bunch of things for the season...
Mention of Danny's brother again... that dude better not threateb Grace.
Okay, I think this is now one of my fav eps despite the fact wasn't as much fan of the drone storyline as some of the others we've had.
Deleted scenes...
Oh, this is a brilliant one of mcdanno arguing...
Danny: where do you get stones big enough to tell that lady that I get to drive my own car?
(Stones Danny? Where are your thoughts?)
Danny: I'd like to drive it when we're together as friends.
(Steve, Danny is inviting you on a friend date where he gets to drive the car, okay)
Oh wow. Catherine found Najib but decided to stay in Afghanistan.
Wow, so Catherine breaks up with Steve in a deleted scene.
(I mean, I'm not mad, cos I do like her as a character just not with Steve, and I like she was honest with him and her reasons for staying there are good)
Wanda and Steve or Peter and Steve fics? (not slash)
Thanks so much for the request!
I love Wanda & Steve and Peter & Steve! I've got a few of both. The relationship with Steve isn't always the primary focus of the fic, but there are some great moments with him in all of these.
