My opinion on Weak Hero ( as a whole )!!

Introduction - 10/10, really did get me interested in the series; new, unique characters and it felt like fresh bread compared to other webtoons (cough cough). Even the story's description prior to reading was really intriguing!!

Characters - My fav characters personally were Gray, Eugene, Rowan, Gerard, Ben, Jimmy, Lily and Wolf ^_^. Although i feel like Seopass and Razen could've put a better effort regarding the female characters ( Julia's whole mini arc was really good tho), they are still really cool. However, I can understand that the girls are not very prevalent due to the union and Eujang being all boys schools (at least that is what i remember i haven't read it in a while 😭). 8/10, they still did an alright job exploring their character.

Story - Most of arcs are 10/10, no joke 10/10. No i wont explain why but i love male friendships in stories and action, so weak hero was practically crafted for my enjoyment ‼️

Ending - The only arc/piece of the story i feel really did disappointed me was the epilogue & ending of the story. I really wanted an explanation for what happened to Steven. Him appearing at the end and looking very okay, mind you, made me feel annoyed tbh 💀💀. The ending isn't horrible because Donald's death wasn't too bad and i personally thought his death was really funny XD. In addition to this, his backstory was really sad and made me feel apologetic for laughing at a dead man! My solid rating for the ending is 6/10. Could be better but ill live with it + yes I am biased.

My thoughts on the Linagram characters

Akio ♡

First of all, I love him as a character! His motive for killing, his follower and even his victim really tells you a lot about the kind of person he is. His personality is snappy with an undertone of sadness (that will surely be more obvious in t2), and I'm interested to find out about why he's so focused on studying.

I personally think that when two characters have a complex and developed relationship, it automatically makes them shine in their own right as well. You can't make two bland characters have an interesting relationship. Admittedly, half of Akio's appeal for me comes from Arata, haha. I want to study them like lab rats.

I wouldn't talk to someone like Akio irl though. He would intimidate me.

Akhsjsksjsjhsudsgss Akio seems like the type to like being carried around (even in a handbag). I can imagine him secretly enjoying it as a chibi. With how much he likes to act like a king, I think he'd like to be carried around like one too. Or maybe he'd prefer certain people carrying him around instead? 👀

Aimi ♡

I love, love, love her character design! Her gradient eyes have captivated me and seeing her in her oversized uniform makes me want to give her a big hug. Those bandages do a good job of making her look sympathetic too, like a kicked puppy in need of love.

I love her, but all the unknown factors of her crime scare me a lot. I'm not good at analyzing stuff, so I'm mostly worried about the accomplice/friend she had before the whole murdering happened. We don't even know who her victim was, or if she even killed them herself. Her crime is turning out to be not as easy as I thought it was. A very Muu move to pull, good for her.

I'm a little nervous to see her again for t2, because she probably won't stay friends with Akane for long. If it turns out that her murder wasn't sympathetic and she's actually a "bad" person, Akane wouldn't want to associate with her anymore. But they're so cute together. :(

Shun ♡

His whole stuttering thing and memory problems would probably weird me out irl honestly. He's interesting as a character tho!

His quirks are really interesting, but there's only so much I can say about him tbh. Shun is a really unreliable narrator, so I don't actually know much about him or his murder? I'm pretty sure I can't forgive him regardless. He's giving me all sorts of bad vibes. Who knows? Maybe he's killed more than a few people.

Naomi ♡

She doesn't have a good relationship with her parents, so I suspect she hasn't had the best history. I do wonder what her victim did to make her so angry that she would resort to killing him though. I don't think she ever mentioned what he did, just that some kids can be more evil than adults. She doesn't like kids now, but still wants to be voted guilty for her crime. She seems torn over how to feel.

At first I thought her personality would be similar to Mayumi, but she seems closer to Noa actually. I'm getting the vibes that she isn't as nice as she seems actually. Like a reluctant older sister figure that would rather not be here at all. /lh

Can't wait to learn more about her backstory in t2! Her reaction to being voted innocent scared me quite a bit actually. I wonder what kind of character development she'll get.

Kei ♡

He such an interesting and fun character, I love everything I read about him! Watching him interact with Eiji is such a treat. Its interesting to see him get under Eiji's skin with such unnervingly accurate remarks. They're obviously incredibly dysfunctional, but I have a feeling they both still love each other in their Sanada family twisted way. I eagerly await more Sanada family lore!

I think he's the kind of character that works better in a dynamic because you get to see just how twisted he is when he's with someone else? Like, him and Eiji, him and Ruka, him and his mom that loves him so much. Him, Eiko and Shun too!

Since he's always giving off the impression that he's happy and having fun in Milgram, I'm looking forward to seeing his little meow meow side in t2 asjdskdskdjkdsk He and Daisuke are quite alike.

Eiko ♡

Um, yeah, I don't much to say about her. Her family background is intriguing, but something about her personality just makes her forgettable to me? She reminds me of Yuno, and I don't like Yuno all that much. Her careless attitude but high expectations kind of annoy me. Do you care or not?

Also, based on what we know of her crime so far, it seems as though she killed someone she was talking to online because he lied about who he was to her? The murder method is gruesome, but the actual motive is quite boring for me. Hopefully t2 will bring me more juicy details about her crime. Or more lore to let me understand her better.

Asahi ♡

I love his design soooo much <3 He's a lil purple boi with crown shaped pupils, how could I not like him? His fancy clothes are really cute too! It shows the difference between the more upper class life he had with his adoptive parents compared to the life with his dad.

He's very much a brat, but I can also tell that he's really scared and doesn't know what to do. His prickly attitude is probably similar to Akane's, where they both lash out in order to protect themselves. He still addresses everyone older than him politely though, so that's a really cute detail. I wonder where he learned to do that from?

Yes, he's a horrible person. Yes, he's never done anything wrong with his life. Asahi, an 11 year old murderer, exists. The main theory now is that he killed his adoptive mother by putting something she's allergic to in her food, and we don't quite know why he wanted to kill her yet, but he's obviously traumatized and trying to compensate for the hurt he suffered in the past. His relationship with his imaginary mom isn't the most reassuring coping mechanism either.

I think if he were ever to get out of Milgram alive, there's a chance he could heal and change for the better with the right guidance. He's still a child after all. I wonder if he feels guilty about his murder.

Yurika ♡

Eiko and Yurika are your ocs that I often forget about, haha. They're just not the type of characters that I pay attention to. I will say that they're very well written though! Yurika's fear of growing up and having to be independent is a nice touch.

Her crime is really hard to pin down, and the contradicting evidence isn't helping much. But I have the feeling that her crimes aren't as complicated as her first MV makes them out to be. The switching of POVs and shaky timeline does a good job of confusing me, but the actual murdering bit probably won't be that hard to understand.

Yurika keeps saying that she killed her victims out of self-defense, but her motive for killing them seems to be more of them knowing too much about her. Also, her manager was most definitely manipulating her into doing some dirty work, so there's that. Although I sympathize with her struggles, she is an adult and should be able to handle her problems without resorting to murder, whatever they may be.

Riku ♡

He has the best hair out of all your ocs, hands down. The rings on his fingers really give him a cool look too!

Now, he's really babygirl and I love his personality (bb please stop hurting yourself). Its not that I think that he was in the right to kill his friend, but I can understand his motive behind doing it. His mental state is also in shambles, even from before he was brought to Milgram, so he obviously has some serious issues he's trying to cope with.

I don't think he's the type to kill again if he makes it out of Milgram. Perhaps with the proper support, he can learn to take care of himself. But this is Milgram and Lina /lh we're talking about, so things can never be easy. Can't wait to see what kind of character development he'll get after being voted innocent!

Reina ♡

Okay, its not that I really dislike Reina, its just that her "I'm an evil serial killer" act annoys me. Someone claiming they didn't kill anyone or that their murder was an accident I can understand, but claiming that you have over 50 victims? Really? I also think that she's trying really hard to make herself look guilty so that her friends can be spared, which annoys me as well.

I am curious about how and why she ended up bullying others with her friends though. Did she feel pressured to go along with it when they did it as a group? Or was she more active in her decision making? She had a fight with someone over her behavior too, which sets up an exciting story to find out about in t2.

I find her annoying for now, but she's still quite the interesting character! She's going to get violent in t2 in order to make the guards vote her guilty too, so I can admire her determination at least.

Eiji ♡

I love him so much, he's so funky and such a sadistic guard its refreshing in a weird way. Sometimes he gets so excited about punishing the prisoners, it seems as though he doesn't care that much about judging them as much as getting to punish them. There are also times when he decides on someone's verdict based on his personal feelings, like when he wanted to vote Haku guilty because the guy has a good relationship with his brother asdjksdskdjsks In comparison, Es doesn't remember his life before Milgram, so he can't do that.

His relationships with just about everyone he's interacted with is so interesting!!! Especially whatever he has going on with Kei. His friendship with Miki shows promising potential too. If I had enough braincells and ability to string my thoughts together neatly, I could write whole analyses about their relationships but alas.

I am interested in knowing how Eiji would treat someone outside of Milgram though. Like, his normal life in the outside world before he was made a warden in Milgram. I get the feeling that he isn't as aggressive compared to the way he acts as a warden.

Also, the idea of having siblings in Milgram is so cool!! Even better that one is a prisoner and one is guard, and THEY'RE BOTH twisted in their own ways. Its really intriguing how Kei reveals a lot about Eiji's true feelings when they interact, but Eiji isn't able to say much about Kei that we don't already know. ITS SO- GRFSNDISSDJSSK

Miki ♡

YO we have a bingo!!!!!

She's very cute, I love her pink pigtails!! Her personality is so complex and well-developed too! At first glance, you'd think she's just idealistic and naïve. But then she turns out to be struggling with strong feelings of guilt from her past and more manipulative than expected. Wow.

Her relationships with the prisoners are fun, and her changing friendship with Eiji is sooooooooooooo good!! Her seemingly gentle personality really shines through when she interacts with others. And based on the different personalities she interacts with, we get to see a new side of her that we don't normally see too.

Her development for t2 is really exciting! I can't wait to see how far she can take her newfound god complex. And how different she'll be treating Asahi now that she knows he's related to her.

personality/design/overall character notes and musings:

- his shoes btw are still Huge instead of siffrins little heels. hes still got those big ol sneakers because its so funny come ON

- sora is generally MUCH more smiley, especially when the loops start getting rough? its more likely to see him smiling through it ("no sad faces!") than the neutral blankness siffrin leaned towards at times during the last few acts.

- expanding on that, before and during the early loops sora has way more of a natural range of expression than further along, i imagine in a situation like a TIME LOOP its more of the Everything Is Fine Im Going To Save Everyone With A Grin On My Face No Matter What thing he only somewhat frequently dips into in canon, the circumstances call for it!

- im choosing the kh3 versions of the characters for a specific reason too. riku's 'change' as isabeau leans more towards his change in attitude and sense of self over kh1 to kh3 rather than being trans (hes still trans tho in my heart!)

- riku serves the same narrative purpose as isabeau but deviates mostly on personality. as for backstory im choosing not to think about the childhood friends aspect of sora/riku/kairi in this au because it hurts my head with the implications. idk man

- i do want to keep the ex-defender lore though, a more isat appropriate version of riku's working with the bad guys thing i guess?

- mirabelle and kairi are so perfect for eachother i dont think i need to explain much, but kairis princess of light status transfers over to mirabelles (not quite) chosen one status, pretty much one to one

- roxas as loop is a little less joshua twewy as is the nature OF roxas and has a bit more of an anger simmering underneath the surface thing? but overall he treats sora similarly to how he teases axel in 358 (the closest analogue i could find) and, just like loop, is extremely conflicted but Wanting to help and make sure what happened to him doesn't happen again

- im unsure if i want roxas' original party to have xion and axel in it (a la the minor changes between sasasap and isat), but trust. axel would be odile ♡♡♡ you know he'd serve CUNTTT (xion/mira, hayner/isabeau axel/odile ???/bonnie ? maybe another twilight town character? feels wrong to seperate that trio!)

- also the shape of roxasloops head is in the shape of his hair because of course

- im still extremely iffy on aqua odile and ventus bonnie but aqua feels less iffy mostly due to the more skilled master status she originally has, which transfers well to her being a craft Beast just like odile.

- i also think that aqua is a really good parallel to sora, just like how odile is quite similar to siffrin in a lot of ways

- odiles glasses chain are earrings for her btw

- im still not sure on ventus though. especially with the age thing. im also worried about the facial similarities thing with roxas however i do think the canon ventus healing within soras heart (which time will tell how THAT turned out for sora) can transfer well to sora losing an eye to protect ventus

- plus not to mention ventus' dynamic with aqua (terra is also in petronille's place - think his xehanort thing but instead of that its getting frozen in time)

- sora also doesnt have an eye patch. it didnt feel right for the design. i changed which eye and also how its hidden (by his squenix bangs) to accomodate that

- i genuinely wholeheartedly wish i could put donald and goofy in this au. i could not think of a way to do it. im kinda sad about it. (mayhaps the broken doll siffrin finds are old donald and goofy plushies for sora...!)

me again! this is in the same universe as the other ficlet (if you remember it) and its more character backstory!! (different character tho) They're aliens lmao

Leonatis grinned, eyes bright as he plunked a new tankard of prescael on the table. A small group of Muscu were gathered in Section A315 on the Dome, celebrating the end of the training year. The older Muscu teens had already begun celebrating, as evident by the way Leo’s words slurred a bit when he spoke.

  “Sing along if you still know the words. May?” He looked to his little sister expectantly, mischief alight in his eyes. Mayrabellin raised an eyebrow incredulously. They had learned the shanty from an old teacher, back when May had first been allowed on the Dome.

  “It's been ten years!” She said, still not believing that her brother expected her to remember. 

  “Ten millennium,” Ariellani joked, drinking from their own tankard. 

  “Give or take,” Leo grinned, clinking their tankards together in a mini-salute.

  “And not once, not once! Have you said please,” May said, leaning back in her chair.

  “Now? This is when... We're doing this now, apparently,” one of May’s other friends whispered, rolling his eyes.

  “Yes, now!” May said loudly, crossing her arms. 

  The rest of the group laughed, egging Leo into saying “please” The boy in question rolled his eyes and grinned, giving his sister his best impression of puppy dog eyes. “ Please , May?” May sighed and rolled her eyes, but she had a fond smile on her face as she joined her brother on the tabletop. Leo began stomping a beat, May clapping along. “What shall we do with a drunk-”

  “Space pirate!” The group cut in, everyone singing along and laughing. The festivities carried on for many hours, the lights remaining on until well into the new day cycle.

  May sat at the table, staring into the depths of her tankard as the memories of that day’s battle raged through her mind. 

  “Duck, May!” Leo shouted, throwing a knife above her head just as she obeyed. “They’re everywhere! Get to the commander and tell him we have to retreat!” May nodded, running off to fulfill her brother’s command. Just as she turned away, however, a blood curdling scream made her turn back. Leo stood over an opponent, cold glare fixed on its slowly-disintegrating form. Dark purple blood bloomed across his dark yellow tactical gear, right above his heart. “Leo?” Her brother looked up, eyes sad. He smiled. “Leo!” She tried to run back to him, but other aliens swarmed her, forcing her to pause and fight. May slammed her tankard onto the table, the table at which- merely hours ago- her brother had sat, grinning and laughing and alive . She swiped her purple sleeve across her cheeks, ridding them of the tears that threatened to fall. “May?” Looking up sharply, May caught sight of Ariellani in the doorway, giving her a look of pity. The rest of their class were behind her, all having come to help their friend. Leo had been a big brother to them all, and they all felt his loss. Wiping her tears again, May offered a weak smile. “Hi Ariel. What do you need?” Ariellani walked into the room, sitting in the chair next to May. Various classmates filtered in after her. They all sat in silence for a moment, mourning the loss of a brave warrior. Suddenly, May spoke up. “Do you-” She paused, clearing her throat. “Do you guys remember how he’d get up early in the day cycle, waking everyone up to go warm up?” A Muscu towards the back chuckled, and various classmates began nodding and sharing their own stories of Leo. The conversation carried on until it lulled into a silence. Then, from the back of the room, someone pounded out a beat on a table. May smiled, clapping along. “What shall we do with a drunk-” “SPACE PIRATE!!”

Basically, as far as I know the London Eye has one red pod on the wheel, and it seems like no one ever goes on it. Me and my first have spent a good amount of time speculating about that I tell you.

A chocolate salami! One of the best desserts (๑>◡<๑) It's usually homemade (at least I haven't seen it in shops for a long time), it's like chocolate balls (have you tried these?) but with cookie crumbs inside! So yummy ☆

NO shoutout to you for consistently having been such a wonderful writing partner and friend! honestly, i adore what you’ve done with suki, from the early concept to the finalized version. i still remember when you first told me about her, way back before you revamped her, when she still had a different name and slightly different interests ( didn’t she use to have a pet lizard JSDKSFJ it’s been soo long help ) . . i love how you managed to give her a quirk without making it feel overbearing or overdone. she can be silly at times, yet still has lots of emotional depth to her – which all of the best ace attorney characters are able to pull off. also, i’m so happy you finally seem to have found a comfortable spot in the rpc, be it within the aa rpc or the indie one. well! since it’s already valentines day where i am, i figured i’d send out some love. care you ♡ here’s to many more years of writing together!

cyan wtf how i am supposed to respond to this??? 😭 we've been writing together for almost three years and it still boggles my mind how that's happened, where'd the time go, but also how you've stuck by my side thru all of it.... it means so much to me, how you're always game for whatever idea/character i throw your way and i've looked at some of my old character concepts and they are yikes JFKSLDJF ANYWAYS, i've always admired your writing and character development skills- it's inspiring really to see, how much thought you put into ray's character and his character arc and i love how we get to see him in different points of his life and to track his evolution!! honestly, i think writing with you is one of the best things that's happened to me on this hellsite...for one thing, i think it pushed me to not only get better at character developing but also it made me really want to improve my own writing skills!!

I CAN'T 🐝lieve u remembered that about suki's initial concept tho 😂 i think i originally had her with a snake...but those were interesting times back then, 2019 sjflks honestly i had her concept for so long, but until feb. 2021 i felt like i could never properly execute suki's concept....adding the burn scars and then giving her the origami quirk really helped solidify her as a character. it's actually funny you mention that, bc i felt like a lot of my character concepts back then were a bit too serious for my liking so for suki, i wanted to give her a characteristic that could be played around with without necessarily always having to relate back sad backstory... BUT ALSO I HAVE TO THANK YOU AS WELL!! without your encouragement, i don't think i could've set her backstory straight specifically with why the origami killer would have targeted her parents in particular 😂

and yes...it's definitely been a process with finding where i'd be most comfortable in the rpc. but when i was in hiatus, i do remember checking up on your blog every now and then just to see what you and ray were up to. that and i always had a thought in the back of my mind that if i ever came back, i'd definitely reach out to you and one of my favorite detectives again!! i absolutely adore all of the dynamics we have going on and i can't wait to see where they all go- again thank you so much for just, well everything and here's to many more years of writing and chaos!! care you very much ❤️
