Morofushi Hiromitsu x reader Words: 0.9K A/N: Oh, don't worry my dear, this is perfectly fine. I made a mix between headcanons and a short scene written out. I hope that is alright with you? It got shorter than I hoped it would be, but I still think it's good this way :)

So, first of all, cooking with this man is absolutely relaxing. Hiromitsu knows what he is doing and is quite an experienced cook, however not in the kind of way where he is demanding and doesn’t allow fooling around a little bit.

He is very gentle and soft with you in the kitchen, especially if you are not particularly good at it. Hiromitsu will help as good and soft as possible, while carefully but quietly explaining what he is doing and why exactly.

If you have a favourite part while cooking, he will leave it up to you and will do the other part, whatever that may be. He just loves the joy on your face too much, when you can do your part to deny it to you.

When you need help though, for example with cutting something, he doesn’t take it away from you to do it himself. Instead, he will practically hug you from behind, will put his hands on yours and will guide you into it, gently as always of course.

Sometimes when you have to wait on something to finish cooking and already cleaned everything up, Hiromitsu carefully takes your hands in his and starts dancing a little bit with you.

To be honest, it’s more swaying forth and back without music rather than dancing, but you two enjoy it still and it has become a part of your cooking routine.

If you are capable of cooking or even an experienced cook yourself, he will try to do some more complicated or elaborate with you that will cost more time.

If you are however not experienced or a bit clumsy, he doesn’t mind at all to stay simple, or give you the easier tasks without making you feel stupid or useless.

The most important thing for him is, that you enjoy spending your time with him, especially since it’s something he actually enjoys doing, so it sees no reason in trying to torment you in any kind of way.

In very rare cases, when Hiromitsu fells a little mischievous, he sneaks up on you and lifts you in the air while hugging you from behind or picking you up and setting you on the kitchen counter just to pull you closer and burry his face in your neck.

He’s just a sweet softie, what else do you expect?

“Careful,” Hiromitsu murmured as he stepped behind you and gently placed his hands over yours. As he did, his chest pressed against your back and his breath brushed your face as he rested his head on your shoulder. “You need to hold the knife like this.” With gentle movements, he corrected the position of the kitchen knife with which you were cutting the vegetables into strips.

“Otherwise there's a greater risk of you cutting yourself. And we don't want that, do we?” Towards the end, his voice took on a teasing tone and you could feel his smile against your cheek. Also smiling, you continued your work, Hiromitsu still hugging you from behind, and after a short while you heard the man's approving hum.

“That's it, much better.” He pressed a light kiss against your temple, as he always did when you could improve something with his tips, and slowly released his grip around your middle to turn to the pan with the meat. After you had finished cutting the vegetables, you added them to the meat, the pan hissing softly. Hiromitsu waited a few moments before deglazing it with a little water and adding spices until he finally put the lid on.

“And now, my dear,” he said, placing a hand around your waist, ”-we must wait.” You turned your head slightly so that he couldn't see the dawning smile on your face. Of course you knew exactly what was coming, after all, he always did, and yet you couldn't help but play along as usual and pretend to be ignorant.

“Oh is that so?” Hiromitsu hummed in agreement as his hand traveled slowly up and down your side, leaving a tingling trail. “And how do you suggest we make this time pass, Hiro?” You glanced slightly over at him and could see the mischievous smile on his lips. “Mhhh,” he murmured softly and stepped in front of you, running his hand over your back and resting on your waist on the other side. As if of its own accord, his other hand found yours and pulled you closer to him, your free one resting naturally on his shoulder.

“May I have this dance?” You smiled slightly sheepishly and looked up into his face, where his eyes gazed affectionately down at you. “I'd like nothing better.” His smile widened, as if after all this time he actually still expected you not to comply with his question.

Slowly, he began to sway you back and forth to a non-existent melody that only he seemed to hear. As always, he began to hum softly after a short while and you rested your head against his shoulder so that your ear was pressed close to his chest and you could feel the vibrations of his voice in his body. You didn't really move from the spot, but neither of you really minded.

After a few minutes, however, you lifted your head to look at him and Hiromitsu leaned down to you with a smile and kissed you gently and carefully, still swaying back and forth. The hand that had been on your hip trailed gradually upwards before cupping your cheek, allowing him to deepen the kiss. “Hiro,” you murmured between kisses, trying to avoid his next attempt but failing. “Hiro!” “Mhhh,” he hummed, trying to capture your lips with his again.

“Hiro, the sauce is boiling over.”

The city was grey. Fog clinging on buildings like an impenetrable film, sticky to the faceless bodies moving through the streets, overfilled. Hectic and slow at once. As if time had stopped. Or maybe it just had for him.

He felt like an imposter in the body of a person. As if he could reach out his hand to touch one of those passing shadows, yet none of them would feel him. None of those faceless creatures could sense him.

There was pain in his hand - or maybe it was just the cold of the rain piercing the reddened skin until it looked raw and felt like unyielding ice.

He could feel metal in his pocket, burning against his frostbitten fingers. Or maybe it burned with pain and foresight. Burning because it was death. It was death. Nothing more.

There was blood on hands. Dripping on marble ground and flowing like river streams trough the passages of ripped and broken stone like veins until they hit gold. Until they became gold. Full and complete and oh so longingly beautiful.

He did not remember having taken the key. Neither did he remember opening the door. But as he could feel the known embrace of his love he felt like he came back to time. Like his body slowly commenced to flow with that stream again. Ears still rushing. Not hearing their worried questions. He could only feel their warm and pure touch on freezing, tainted skin.

"You are crying." It was that soft exclamation that made him see them, finally. Head dizzy he could recognise the shape of his home, but clearly now he could see their eyes. Full of love. So he let himself fall into that warmth they provided. He knew, at the end of the day, this would pass also. And as long as he could hold unto them, never let them go, he would be alright. He sighed as he felt their arms hold him close.
