Trolls AU where everything is relatively the same except Branch is a Techno Troll, purely for the reason that those guys are my favs out of the tribes and nothing else

Like maybe his egg somehow washed up to the Troll Tree from some event I haven't made up yet, and he's found by maybe John Dory or Grandma Rosiepuff and was brought into the family

Same thing happened after he's hatched, he got into BroZone as the weird looking but funky Troll baby Bitty B, the thing happened, the band broke up, leaving Branch alone with his grandma

Then she got eaten (cue the meme)

Poor Branch then turned grey due to the trauma he went through, like

More or less he looks like this for 20 years, with the addition of his pixel heart being split in two for added angst

Same thing happened as in canon afterwards; Branch is the village grouch and self imposed exile, except maybe his treatment is sort of worse here 'cause he's not like the others. Evidence, he has fins for legs, fins for ears, his hair can't stretch like all Pop Trolls can, and just generally the "don't sing or dance or hug" thing. Hence, he's a bit more bitter and more towards the village and more willing to lash out more than he did in canon (or atleast what we're shown on screen anyway)

I don't think his poor treatment would go too far since I see King Peppy sort of protecting Branch as best he can by redirecting the villagers' anger away from him. Maybe due to him thinking his treatment from the civillians were too cruel, or it's 'cause he knows Branch is a Techno Troll and felt bad for suffering this fate from the other Pop Trolls and being separated from his own people, so he did his best to accomodate Branch (doubtful, but no one is perfect I guess)

(Will Peppy tell Branch the truth about him, though? Lol, hell no, he's too much of a wuss to do that)

So I guess in a way, he's more or less on good terms with King Peppy, but not enough for him to consider him a friend or anything. Branch just trust Peppy's judgement a bit more than in canon (still think he's an idiot, though)

But anyway, same thing happened, Poppy hosts the biggest and loudest party ever and got raided by the Chef Bergen, Poppy and Branch sets out to Bergen Town to rescue the kidnapped Trolls, set Bridget up to a date with the king, Branch explains his sad backstory, Creek betrays them and got the whole village snatched up, they all lost their colours, Poppy and Branch sings True Colours to get their colours back and subsequently got Branch's colours back (which I'll make a drawing referencr later 'cause I'm still debating on what he'll look like), and they sang to the Bergens to make everything sunshine and rainbows, The End

So yeah it's all the same with the added edition of Branch being a Techno Troll. Other than gags and jokes about him being different and a sprinkle of added stuff to his lore on why he's different, nothing really changes

Riddle Rosehearts

So, you were a member of the little friend group that he had when he was younger, and you were there to comfort him when he was sad through your wonderful singing voice. Yes, he was aware that you were a mermaid. However, he saw that you were closer to Trey than to anyone else. You even held hands before marriage, which was almost unspeakable for him.

But he wasn’t aware that the two of you were engaged until he noticed a notification on his Vice Housewarden’s phone many years later. It was a text from ‘My Fiance ❤️’, and Riddle almost died from surprise. He shouted, “you have a fiance??”, and Trey was acting all nonchalant as he explained that the two of you had made a promise to each other that once you both turned 18, you would be with a ring on your finger.

When you had gotten permission to visit NRC, the Housewarden was very excited to see his old friend. However, it made him flustered when you spotted the baker and gave him a kiss… on the lips. Bro squeaked something out about his virgin eyes and that you and Trey should keep affection for behind doors.

Trey Clover

He had met you when you waltzed into his family’s bakery one day, wet hair and wet clothes as you asked for the sweet-smelling treat that was on display. As cliche as it is, it was love at first sight for the young boy. He brought you the treat and sat with you and asked you a bunch of questions. This is when he learns that you are a mermaid and your family had recently moved to the Queendom of Roses and you had just gone swimming.

From that point on, your families got really close and encouraged your friendship, and even eventual relationship. The two of you even made a promise once you found out that Trey had been accepted to NRC and you wouldn’t see each other often that you both would be engaged once you guys had turned 18. He most definitely kept that promise once you visited in his second year, and you went home with a ring on your finger.

When you had visited again in his third year, you were formally introduced to everyone (aside from Riddle, who already knew you). The entire time, you basically stuck by the baker’s side, and Yuu pointed out that it reminded them of the story of the Baker and his Spouse. You were confused since you had never heard of that tale (pun intended if you understand), but it was good all the same.

Cater Diamond

This man had no idea who you were, and he walked into the Heartslabyul kitchen just to see you and Trey kissing each other. He snapped a picture and rushed back outside as he posted said picture with the caption: TREY HAS A SECRET LOVER?! Needless to say, the Vice Housewarden had gotten the notification that Cater had posted something.

He was expecting a big reaction, but instead he had gotten a comment almost immediately from the baker saying, ‘I guess you could say that. They’re my fiance haha.’ Cater just about spit out his tea all over Riddle and literally let out a weird squeak of confusion. The Housewarden asked what was wrong and he showed him the comment, and he had the remnants of a smile as he explained the promise once made between you and Trey.

Once the Unbirthday Party was over, he actually introduced himself to you and asked if you would forgive him for posting a picture without your consent. You smiled as you forgave him, and the two of you actually became great friends. He asked a few questions about yours and Trey’s relationship, and he was squealing at how adorable your story actually was.

Ace Trappola

He saw Cater’s post but didn’t have time to look at it, for fear of being late to the Unbirthday Party. So, he sat down at his spot and saw that you and Trey were sitting next to each other, and you had one hand in the Vice Housewarden’s and your other hand had a ring on it, you could see the question marks pop up around his head.

There were many whispers, but it eventually got out that you were Trey’s fiance. Bro let out the loudest gasp of shock, and Riddle questioned what was wrong. He was embarrassed, but he was genuinely surprised that the baker was engaged. But with your displays of affection, he felt low-key envious because he peaked in middle school when it came to rizz.

Nah but for real, he will definitely ask Trey for some dating advice because the last relationship he had was in middle school. It was a very awkward conversation, but you offered some help and explained that your soon-to-be husband had in Ed you with the respect you deserved and even made it romantic

Deuce Spade

Ace actually made him late because he got into an argument with Grim and the former delinquent had to hold the former back from getting into a physical fight. But, as he and Ace finally sat down for the Unbirthday Party, he saw that you and Trey were sitting next to each other. Whispers were going about, but none were confirmed.

But, Riddle stood and announced that they had a special guest amongst them, and asked for you to stand and give a small wave before you sat back down. Once he heard that you were the fiance of the Vice Housewarden, he too let out a gasp of shock, but a small one. Then he remembers that Trey is 18, so he assumes that you are 18 as well.

Your story was actually adorable, and he asked a bunch of questions about you. He was surprised to hear that you were a mermaid and that you did not make it into NRC, better yet that you had stayed with your boyfriend (now fiance) throughout all your years of college. But you became a good friend to all of Heartslabyul.

the russian sleep experiment was, you guessed it, an experiment. from what i remember the experiment was conducted during a war to test endurance. the prisoners from said war were told they would be set free if they followed through with the experiment. the prisoners were locked in a room and the scientists leaked this gas in the room to keep the prisoners from sleeping, without having sleep the prisoners go insane and start to kill eachother

the russian sleep experiment is honestly my favorite creepypasta. i read it a few years ago and then shane and ryan read it on are you scared and i was hooked. i feel like beomgyu would really like it.

The floor at the wedding reception seemed to vibrate under Jacob’s feet as he stood there, tapping his glass of wine. He wasn’t ever much of a party person, but seeing everyone so happy gave him a reason to stay past the dinner and the speeches. Come to think of it; he hadn’t actually been at a wedding since his own. That was over twenty-five years ago now, and, sadly, his wife couldn’t be with him to dance with him at this one.

He wanted to relive some of those memories. He wanted to dance with someone tonight, but he wasn’t quite sure who.

Scratch that; he knew who he wanted to dance with, but he wasn’t sure how to ask him. He didn’t even know how he would dance with him. Was there a difference in dancing with a man? Especially when he only had one arm now. Would that make a difference as well?

Not to mention, there was the tension. He knew the team had forgiven him on the surface, but he wondered how much of that was just a mask to keep the peace. He wondered if he deserved to continue being their leader, he wondered if he deserved to be officiating Zander and Priya’s wedding that day, but, most importantly, he wondered if he deserved to ask Ben to dance with him.

“Chief,” A sudden calling from Priya beside him snapped Jacob out of his thoughts, “Are you okay?”

“I’m fine, just…tired, that’s all. Long flight and everything.” He responded, trying to compose himself.

“Are you sure? Why don’t you go back to the hotel then?”

“No, no, I-I’m not that tired. I’ll just sit down at my table again.”

“Okay, if you need anything, just let me know.”

He thanked Priya and sat down at the table he was assigned to earlier that evening. It was empty now, with all the other guests either up dancing or huddled over at the bar ordering drinks. It probably looked sad, just an old man sitting at a table alone, but he somewhat enjoyed the peace it brought him.

His mind wandered back to Ben. He still had so much to say, especially tonight, but his guilt was holding him back. It was as though it was chaining him to his chair, forcing him to stay in place. He wished he could go back in time and slap the hell out of his past self, but despite this being a world where demons, vampires, werewolves, and the like existed, this wasn’t a world where time travel did.

“Teeth!” He heard, right before Gwen crashed into his table.

“You alright there, Gwen?” He asked, trying to hold back his laughter at her obviously drunken state.

“Why are you shitting there like a loon-sher, Teeth?”

“I’m just tired and thinking about stuff.”

“Oh, whatcha thinking ‘bout? Ish it a giirrl you wanna dansh with?”

“N-no, it’s not. I mean, it is someone I want to dance with, but it’s not a girl.”

“Ooh, you wanna dansh with a guy. I can be your wish-man if you want me to, Teeth.”

“Absolutely not. Not in the state you’re in.” He chuckled, imagining the sheer embarrassment of having a drunken Gwen ask Ben to dance with him. It was probably worse than him doing it himself.

“Fine, I’ll be your hype-man. Who ish he?”

Jacob was about to say something when he breathed a sigh of relief. Hope was (somewhat aggressively) walking over to them.

“Gwen! I told you to go back to our hotel room, not to harass the chief.” Hope gave Gwen a slap on the back of the head.

“I wasn’t hash-assing him, Hopie. I was hyping him up because he wants to ash someone to dansh with him,” Gwen explained, flopping from the table onto Hope’s shoulder.

“Really,” Hope raised an eyebrow, “Who would that be?”

“Doesn’t matter, I’m going to do it.” Jacob took a deep breath and stood up. Screw it; if he was going to enjoy this night, it wasn’t going to be looking after a drunk Gwen or sitting around moping. He was going to have a good night and there was nothing going to stop him.

“WHOO! TEETH EDDO! GO KISS HIS ASS!” Gwen cheered loudly, hyping up the embarrassed man as he started walking away from the girls.

“Yep, we’re going back to the hotel.” Hope sighed, dragging Gwen out of the room, mostly to avoid embarrassing the chief even further.

Jacob wasn’t quite sure if that helped him or not. Sure, the reduced noise level made it easier for him to focus, but now he could hear his breathing getting heavier while his heart started racing. He wondered if Ben could hear them, too, making his anxiety even worse.

Ben’s appearance wasn’t helping his heart rate at all. His suit was fairly tight on his body, showing off his muscles easily, especially without his jacket. Sure, it wasn’t too different from his usual outfit, but there was just something about him in a suit that made Jacob’s brain go haywire.

“Ben?” He called, almost unconsciously. He was so focused on how handsome he found him that he completely forgot where he was.

“Oh, Jake, sorry I didn’t see you there.” Ben’s voice made Jacob’s blushing face deepen in shade.

“Yeah, I, uh, just wanted to check in on you.”

“Aw, that’s sweet, but I know you. Come on, what’s up?”

“Dammit, how can you always see right through me?” Jacob chuckled, embarrassed.

“It’s called knowing you for over twenty-five years. Now, what are you hiding? What did you do this time? Anything like what you did at your wedding?”

“Oh god no, never anything like that ever again, especially not at someone else’s wedding. No, I…I wanted to ask you if you wanted to dance with me. I know this is pretty sudden, and you probably haven’t forgiven me for what I did a few months ago, but…I’ve wanted to ask you something like this for a while now.”

A few moments of silence passed between them. Jacob started reconsidering everything. He started wondering if he just made the person closest to him uncomfortable, maybe even made him hate him, like this was the last straw after everything that happened over the past year or so.

“Alright,” Ben gave him a smile, “Let’s dance.”

“W-wait, what? Just like that?” Jacob smiled back, hands trembling nervously.

“Yeah, I mean, why not?”

“Because of everything that has happened. I mean, a few months ago, I left you alone with everyone just because the demon queen was disguised as Lily.”

“You acted out of grief, Jake. I’m not saying I’ve forgiven you for that, but I don’t think that matters right now. So, yes, I’ll dance with you.”

“I…why? Why would you dance with me? Why would you dance with someone you can’t forgive? Someone who can’t be forgiven?”

“Jake,” Ben put his hands on Jacob’s shoulders and pulled him closer, “I’ve been in love with you for years since we met, but I kept it secret because of how much you loved Lily. I’m not sure if I’ll ever be able to forgive you for the way you left us behind, but deep down, that hasn’t changed how I feel about you.”

Jacob stepped back a little, shocked at all of this. He never knew Ben felt that way, and for over twenty-five years, no less. The guilt over his actions got worse, knowing that not only did he leave behind the people he was supposed to lead but also someone who truly loved him, unlike the person he was willing to blindly follow because of who she looked like.

“I…” His eyes welled with tears, “I’m sorry for everything I’ve done.”

“Hey,” Ben moved one of his hands to Jacob’s face to wipe off the tears, “Like I said, that doesn’t matter right now. For now, let’s dance.”

“Yeah…” Jacob nodded, being pulled closer to Ben as the two started moving in sync with each other and the music.

He tried to lose his thoughts in the music and movement, trying to distract himself from everything, but nothing seemed to work. He tried looking into Ben’s eyes, but he was disgusted at his own reflection. He turned his attention to his surroundings, seeing Priya giving him a thumbs-up of support. To him, it felt disingenuous because of his actions.

Did he really deserve to be dancing with Ben after everything he did? After abandoning him all of a sudden? If he were in Ben’s position, he wouldn’t even want to look at him.

So why was he dancing with him right now?

The guilt caught up to him eventually and he let go of Ben. He left the room, trying to catch his breath as he stumbled out onto the balcony. He flopped his body onto the railing and buried his face in his hands. He couldn’t believe he would be so selfish and not consider how Ben felt about everything. He hated himself for his actions, praying he could turn back time and take back everything he did.

“Jake?” Ben called, alerting Jacob to his presence on the balcony.

“I’m sorry, I…I guess the guilt is catching up with me. I don’t understand why you would want to dance with me after I just abandoned you. I don’t know how you weren’t embarrassed even just to be seen with me.”

“Jake,” Ben took his friend’s hands and sat him down, “I’ve been waiting for you to swallow your pride and ask me to dance for years. I wasn’t even thinking about what happened and honestly, I don’t care. All I want is for us to be together, even if it’s not romantically.”

Jacob gulped as tears welled in his eyes. He still didn’t feel like he deserved forgiveness, especially from him of all people, but if Ben didn’t care, then why should he? Why shouldn’t he just swallow his pride and move on?

“Y’know, I think it was the crowding that also got you.” Ben got off his chair and took out his phone. He started playing a song – one he knew was an old favourite of Jacob’s – and extended a hand to him.

Jacob accepted his hand and got up from his chair. He pulled Ben closer, and the two started dancing again.

Maybe he didn’t deserve it, but maybe that didn’t matter in that moment. Both could be true, just like the love they both felt in that moment.

I finally finished my first playthrough of BG3 last night, and it's maybe the worst/most depressing playthrough possible. I went into the game mostly blind, and tried not to savescum any major decisions or events. Spoilers below the cut

I accidentally killed the Owlbear mama. Without Speak with Animals, I got the gist that she wanted me to leave and not come back. I found a potion of animal speaking, and she was serious about the not coming back part.

I did not free the owlbear cub from the goblin camp, but it showed up at my camp later. It was only there for a few days before I accidentally made its hurt paw worse and it ran away, never came back

I didn't know Minthara would be a companion until after I killed her

I completely missed Halsin until after I killed all the goblins and saved the tieflings

I misunderstood/misclicked the levers at the windmill and sent Barcus flying

At Waukeen's Rest, I saved the guy upstairs, not realizing there was anyone else to save. I then went and found the Zhentarim hideout and didn't come back for a while. The other person (people?) died. Could I have saved the Duke there? IDK.

I saved Baelen by yeeting a healing potion at him, but he triggered the Bibberbang field so I didn't get the Noblestalk

I didn't realize that the world moves on and events resolve themselves without you, so Nere died behind the cave-in. I was trying that fight over and over, kept dying, so I went and explored the rest of the area and came back after a couple long rests. I had been drinking so I was very confused. I KNOW I didn't kill EVERYONE here, but where the fuck are they?

I explored the Grymforge but didn't actually use it. I thought for sure that I would find something that would explain how to use it, but I didn't. I refused to look up walkthroughs so I missed a lot of content because I didn't immediately understand what I was doing

When I first got to Last Light Inn, I missed Dammon. I failed to rescue Isobel and reloaded when I saw Zombie!Dammon. I then went and talked to Dammon to fix Karlach's heart, tried again to save Isobel, failed, and killed ALL the Tieflings and Harpers

Jaheira died on the front steps of Moonrise Towers. Because she wasn't actually in my party, I couldn't revive her.

I remember seeing some stairs that probably led to where the rest of the Tieflings were being kept, but I forgot to check it out before I moved on. I assume they're still there.

I decided not to give a fuck about Halsin's quest, so he was very sad that I did not lift the Shadow Curse

When I found Mizora at Moonrise Towers, I correctly translated the button that said "Unleash" and assumed it meant "unleash the Illithid." I failed to translate the one that apparently says "annihilate," so I pushed that one. Mizora and Wyll went WOOSH and Karlach was pissed

I didn't know that Isobel was saveable so I killed her.

Gale got kidnapped by Orin in Act 3, before I had a chance to take him to Sorcerous Sundries

Because I didn't need him (I was already a wizard) I took my sweet time rescuing him. I think I accidentally killed him on the altar with a Fireball. He wasn't technically in my party so Spell Sculpting didn't help?

I completely skipped Cazador's Palace for the sake of finishing the game. I hadn't taken Astarion out of camp since act 1 so he was only level 4 the whole time lol.

At the end, I turned Karlach into a Mind Flayer, released Orpheus, fought the Emperor.

I crit failed my attempt to convince Laezel to stay with us

That's pretty much it lol. I also abandoned so many quests that I probably could have gotten an extra 60 hours out of this playthrough. I ended at 129 hours though!

after watching muppet tv series episodes basically at random for a bit, i finally finished all of the jim henson hour!!

some thoughts below, but overall i really enjoyed it, even though the shifts between tones in some episodes was kinda jarring at first lol. i feel like more people should know about this show, especially after seeing all the technology they used in the secrets of the muppets episode.

digit is still a character created specifically to my interests and i am still so so sad he isn't in anything else :( literally just a socially awkward semi-robotic latex puppet who loves synth music. he is perfect and they threw him in the closet never to be seen again.

all the other new characters were very nice, but i especially enjoyed the "bean bunny is there to be cute so no one else has to" bit. while i also appreciate him as "guy to throw around" it's a fun added layer to his character!

i think sci-fi -> ocean transition was the most jarring to me, after the sci-fi episode ended with turning louie anderson into a non-marketable plushie i was expecting ocean to be more silliness, and it was up until clifford tells the story of how ted danson ruined the ocean and kermit solemnly says goodnight. and then i still had to watch lighthouse island after this!

i did have to get used to the jim henson hour -> storyteller/other segments transitions but i am very glad i did not skip them or the non muppetelevision specials. my favorites were probably the true bride, the soldier and death, dog city (MUPPET DOGS ARE PERFECT!!!!) and the song of the cloud forest (as a dedicated member of dave goelz nation). i also got unexpectedly invested in living with dinosaurs even though i'm not sure much was explained or resolved that well, the human cast was really good and dog is such a good muppet (why is there no official plush of him!!)

i knew gorilla television wasn't in it much but i didn't expect them to only be in 2 episodes, one of them being in the batch that didn't in the original run. they could've done so much more......i liked their concept as being "above" muppets despite their segments not being that much more cool or complex lol

favorite episode was probably videotape? i might have to rewatch to define it but also like. the music just keeps on rolling along. all night party. the true bride. banger after banger

also jim himself is funny too. the concept of the thought lion for him to bounce off of is so good because in the true bride he's a mystical giftgiver and to jim he is just his really weird cat. awesome dynamic

i really wish more people had watched this show cause it has a lot of fun bits!!! it's so weird to me that so much muppet stuff is lost media or could have been lost media if it wasn't recorded, and this is one of them!! my ideal blu-ray now is a blu-ray of all the episodes of this restored/hd plus a selection of other movies/works by jim (i gotta watch some of his pre muppet show work, including his weird experimental films) but it will probably never happen cause of copyright stuff </3.

I feel like she and Mela would get along, they’re both total queens and Blondie also likes to dance, she also loves hot chocolate, ballet, flute music, smooth jazz and classical music, fashion* and fashion design, and afternoon tea parties

*she’d get criticized at her job because instead of wearing a police uniform she’d just walk around in her designer clothes with her badge in her coat or something

(once her name starts to really get out there, she gets quite wealthy, and she usually spends it on clothes or charity stuff, as she does believe in reformative programs preventing crime)

I can see her hanging out with the gang including Godot, cause like, one of them copes with his trauma and sadness by being cryptic and bitter, while she deals with her trauma and sadness by being a little silly

I was immediately picturing Blondie making a dirty chai latte or dirty hot chocolate for Godot in that there's coffee in it and she tries to make it dark and bitter to his tasting. And she might even bake him bagels with cream cheese to go with the coffee (or maybe that's just me projecting lol)

She sounds like the generous person who brings in sweets and the like to be enjoyed by the whole detective team, and Gumshoe is just taken by those gestures and has to stop himself from eating the whole thing.

Despite being a dark and bitter cryptid, Godot finds himself smiling more when Blondie's around. The coffee she makes is....well, there's always room for improvement 😊

God just imagine Blondie and Mela getting together over tea and confections, and Mela starts explaining about all the silly, shameful things one of her cousins has been up to. She spills the beans of Gyro's failed love affairs and the mess he's made of them, and Blondie has to stop herself from laughing or she'll get the hiccups. They just roast tf outta him and it is glorious lol!

But how does Blondie react upon seeing Gyro's little bastard girls? I feel like Sadie-Mae might like her. Maggie would like her because she seems fun and nice (much, much nicer than her father, that's for sure), and Paxe is a bit disinterested. As a side note, give Paxe a whip and she'd become a little Frannie lol

I was imagining that Mela would purposefully kick out Caesar and Gyro from the house for a day so she could host a little girls-only get together with Gyro's daughters, her gf Jodie and Blondie. There, Mela dances with Blondie and teaches her this Spanish dance she recently learned. And Blondie makes hot chocolate for the kids.

I’ve always loved reality TV and I don’t tend to judge people based on what’s shown on reality television because it’s a stressful environment, with lots of editing and often production interference into interpersonal drama. That said, I do like discussing what I see as well (I just don’t see it as a be all end all of someone’s personality). I’ve seen some hate for Seonwoo on other social media platforms and it’s making me sad! I do think he’s frustrating, but tbh I’m enjoying watching him as a reality-TV lover lol. I don’t particularly think he’s malicious or manipulative, I think he’s mostly just very insecure and so deep in his people pleasing ways it’s hard for him to snap out of it even if that’s what would be best. If he does like Sungho I do want him to go for it! I’m rooting for the roommates, but on a dating show anyone is fair game. That said, I think based on what he’s says on the show he’s still figuring himself out. He says he only started coming out a week before filming, which means he spent 30+ years hiding a big part of himself. Korea is obviously a homophobic country and he probably struggled a lot with his identity. He said he feels uncomfortable watching queer movies, which could be for a lot of reasons but could also be more evidence of his insecurity. I don’t think he’s a bad person, but I think he probably grew up with a big fear that people finding out about his sexuality would make them not like him, and he really wants to be liked and that seems to carry over to the way he’s approaching romantic relationships. I’m not sure he’s intentionally leading people on in a mean way as much as he’s just like desperate to please people and to not have anyone dislike him and he’s afraid if he straight up rejects someone they will dislike him. It’s endlessly frustrating as a viewer but as a person I kinda just want to give him a hug lol.

thank you so much for this anon it’s literally like you read into the crevices of my mind. when i started watching this show with my mom and sisters (yes it’s a whole family affair now) and they turned against seonwoo quickly, this is the narrative i also gave them as a counter to their arguments. and i do largely agree with it, and agree that it explains to some extent his behaviour on the show. fundamentally, he is a people pleaser. i thought that from the moment he walked in, that smiley disposition and how chatty he was, how easily he could interact and tease people, it just all fed in to that typical image of a ‘nice guy’. but then he also has his gayness, which clashes with his need to please people and have them like him bc he’s in a society where the prevailing opinion is still that gayness is not a norm, so him being gay stops him from pleasing people, stops people from liking him, which would only exacerbate his behaviour bc he feels like he has to cover or make up for that part of himself by being that much more nice and likeable. and even now he’s on a show where that isn’t a problem, he can’t get out of this headspace he’s been in the majority of his life where being himself and those inner, core things about him, his real thoughts and feelings, are unlikeable, so it only makes sense that he needs time to adjust after coming out, and we’re seeing him right at the start of that journey so of course he still has a ways to go.

having said that, I don’t think he is completely innocent, which is not anything against him bc this is still a game, even putting aside the show even just the love triangle or dating itself is somewhat of a game. when you go out on dates or interact with people with the goal to form a relationship, people generally arent always themselves, be it wanting to be their best version or not wanting to give away all of themselves until a deeper connection forms. there’s many ways to go about forming a relationship and I don’t think relationships inherently have more merit just bc both parties were entirely themselves from day one. it’s all to say I don’t inherently dislike seonwoo bc he isn’t being 100% honest, and if anything him not behaving this way would be more dishonest if this is just part of who he is. but I do believe that he is aware of his behaviour, aware of how he’s trying to control and lead certain relationships, bc there is intent there. thinking off the top of my head, when he slid the mission card for junsung to read about picking dates, knowing he was going on a date with sungho and junsung missed out, there was intent behind that to be smug, at least that’s how I saw it. or when, after a talk with hyungjin where hyungjin said he didn’t like his personality, he kept going to feed him, there’s intent behind that to mend that relationship and gain back some favour bc he doesn’t want someone to dislike him. and right there you have an example of him just doing something that I saw as bad intent and something that I saw as good intent, which is to say I don’t think he is malicious or bad as a person, but that he does undeniably display some of those behaviours sometimes. there is only so far you can take reasons and explanations for behaviours until everything is written off, which is why for me with seonwoo I have this threshold almost, of what I can see is this complex he has manifesting, and what despite all that has ill intent.

and just like you said anon, it’s all to say that this is me taking the bare bones of a person and what is presented of them in a show and creating my idea of that person that i see when I watch it. that’s what people do, and I can’t help but get annoyed when people try to criticise having and developing an opinion of someone on tv like you’re supposed to just be totally separate to and subjective of everything you watch. yes, I might handle things with more care and understanding and nuance when it’s reality tv bc the bare bones of these people are real, but just as you expand and form canon around characters, I do that with these people too, and if I have enough mental understanding to know that the idea of someone I have in my head is different from who that person actually is, bc that is someone I can never and will never know fully, then just like… leave me to have my fun pls. bc it is all fun. I have never one said and would outright reject the idea that seonwoo is not fantastic tv, and the season would not be able to carry these storylines without him. you can hate the villain for what they do to the heroes, and for all their bad qualities, but still love what they bring to the story, and even revel in those bad qualities bc they are so fun to watch. when im yelling at seonwoo to stop being a gossip or holding onto sungho or leading on yonghee, im having the best time. and when he takes someone to the side for a private conversation, I can’t lie, I have the biggest evil grin on my face thinking yes what mess do we have in store this time. seonwoo is just that person, you want to hate him, you want to comfort him, and you just can’t look away while he creates chaos.

#randomcomplaining I gotta have the most fucked up group of friends ever. I need to classify each group because if I go back and read these for myself I wanna know who I’m talking about.

Ok so we’ll do:

Exhibit A- will just be my closest guy friend cuz I hangout with him a lot

Exhibit B- my brother, his bf, and our best friend (I don’t think I ever really complain about them besides when I argue with my brother but i will probs write about good things too)

Exhibit C- old workers from my first job (2 girls)

Exhibit D- old coworkers from my recent job (4 girls)

I wanna explain each group and why I feel like idrk if I want these ppl in my life except for a small exception of exhibit B because they’re basically family. Only thing is they all use substances that really influence my decisions on whether I use or not which is not their fault but it’s toxic for me to be around that environment. Otherwise

exhibit A- started off as just a friendship, we both told each other about guys and girls we liked or wanted to be with. Then he developed a crush on me which was fine for me at first cuz it’s not rly my problem (respectfully) now he’s overly touchy like even being in public he’ll try and grab my leg and make it seem like we’re dating or something and I feel like he just wanted to assert dominance to other men in the room like “don’t touch her she’s mine” WHEN IM NOT LOL. At first I felt bad but I’m so fucking sick of people feeling so bad for him because he’s so nice and he loves me so much. He’s a great person, but not for me. And idk why people can’t just respect that and stop making me out to be a villain because I don’t have feelings for someone. This is kinda my fault I guess but I used to change in front of him and I didn’t rly care cuz I thought we had established that we’re just friends. Well now when I ask him to look away he really thinks he has the right to go “no I’ve seen it before idc.” Or most the time he does look away but gives me a hard time. There’s even been times where he looked back and was like OH MY BAD I thought u were done like no u didn’t lol u just wanted to be a fucking perv. So obviously I’ve established new boundaries, I go to my bathroom to change, I literally scream at him when he touches me, I always talk about guys. That’s the funny thing too he calls me such a whore and I’m fake just cuz I don’t wanna be with him.

Exhibit C: I actually really love these girls. I’ve never had any issues with them. Tbh the only reason I ever debate if I should let them go is because I feel like I’ve been a bad friend. We all started to be friends because we worked at the same job and we all liked to party and we were all lowkey a little weird. We moved on in life and they both have full time jobs, both in relationships, and I’m still partying like a maniac so I think they just don’t want to be around that which I totally understand. I started to feel sad because they never invite me to places they go but that’s cuz they don’t always wanna be all drunk and fucked up and tbh I never ask them to do shit either so in the middle of this post I acc asked if they all wanted to hangout and play video games

Exhibit D: ok this group of ppl confuses the fuck out of me. Everybody talks about each other like someone’s always mad at one particular person in the group I feel like, or worried about someone. I’ve had one person in this group steal from me. She’s jealous of all of us. One of the girls in the friend group only talks to me when nobody else is really there otherwise I get ignored I feel like. Sometimes I feel like they’re just trolling me too but that could be my insecurities. These people never ask me to hangout anymore and tbh I don’t rly care lol I hung out with them when I was in a really bad spot in my life and although they’re not the reason for it I just associate them with that time unfortunately. I don’t mean to but yeah

personally, i feel like bj and hawkeye’s relationship gets more interesting the later in the show it is, because they get more independently and mutually destructive, and i love toxicity (lol). i also should preface this with the fact that i loooove reading too far into things, so there’s a balance of analysis and outright chemistry here. more heavy on analysis, actually. whoops. i also tried to pick ones i hadn’t yet seen mentioned, but there are episodes you just cannot in good conscience leave out of a Top Ten Beejhawks list

- 5x24 Margaret’s Marriage -- peak shenanigans, plus them leaning heavily into each other constantly. i’ll be honest i don’t remember much of this episode besides bj and hawkeye being way too close together and me shouting “GIRL GET OUT OF THERE” at margaret through my screen, so grain of salt etc

- 7x2 Peace On Us -- an overall good hawkeye episode, and a good margaret episode, but the beejhawk peak of it all is bj taking a one off line from hawkeye -- “i’d like to see some other color, red for instance” -- and taking that as inspiration to throw an elaborate party for him, basically just to cheer him up. imo the first of multiple Grand Romantic Gestures the two of them manage to do for each other despite circumstances

- 7x22 Preventative Medicine -- bj and hawkeye have a fundamental difference in opinion and a huge, blow up argument in this episode, but they still stick by each other’s side. i really like how this one adds depth to their relationship--i love that they are not perfect; flaws add intrigue to pairings for me. my beejhawk playlist cover is the ending shot of this episode.

- 7x24 Aint Love Grand -- bj and hawkeye are directly compared against 2 other (heterosexual) pairings, and end up being the only ones that are still together by the end of the episode. they fight like an old married couple because they kind of are one. features the scene where they hug like 15 times in a row

- 8x23 War Correspondent -- (guy who is crazy voice) ok hear me out. hear me OUT. this episode may literally be about bj falling for a woman but it’s extremely easy to extrapolate beejhawk emotions onto it. for one thing the woman he falls for is just Girl Hawkeye. for another it explains a lot of bj’s feelings re: his family, his circumstances in the war, and (therefore) how he relates to hawkeye. (also “i can’t go from ‘how do you do’ to ‘i love you’ because of the damn war” -- but then he does, with hawkeye. oops!)

- 9x6 A War For All Seasons -- a year’s worth of hawkeye and bj being domestic, and leaving a party together at the end. they’re just cute this ep, what else can i say? i’m also biased because i just adore this episode overall. grain of salt 2.0

- 9x10 Operation Friendship -- this is bj and hawkeye at peak mutual insanity. they band together via their dislike of another visiting surgeon, all because he...insists he can help bj’s wrist injury better than hawkeye can (he is literally a wrist injury specialist)? also features a lot of good content re: bj repressing his emotions and problems, which adds well onto my personal reading of his character and arc throughout the show. plus The Hand Cradling. yeah.

- 9x14 Oh How We Danced -- “it’s not much but you have me” “you’ll have to shave” + hawkeye doing everything in his power to give bj a good gift (hi, grand romantic gestures) + looking so so so sad when bj’s dancing with margaret at the end. insert “normal friend vs in love with you friend” post

- 10x16 Where There’s A Will There’s A War -- THE beejhawk ep for me, outside GFA. features: bj worrying extremely hard about hawkeye while he’s gone,  recognizing his suturing by sight, hawkeye struggling to put what bj means to him into material terms, and “when i wake up remind me to give you a kiss”. i read a lot into hawkeye’s reaction to said comment at the end, and how that explains the way he acts with bj--he knows how much his family means to him, and won’t let himself get in the way of that.

- 11x4 The Joker Is Wild -- this one is a controversial one--a lot of people think bj is just too mean to hawkeye in this ep (and...he kinda is). a lot of good stuff re: bj’s extreme jealousy over hawkeye’s past relationships (this is THE trapper complex episode--bj must mention him by name like 5 times). also very homoerotic--it ends with bj getting hawkeye to strip and sing “if baby i’m the bottom, you’re the top”.

+ bonus: of course, 4x1 Welcome to Korea and 11x16 Goodbye, Farewell and Amen. heavy on GFA. i could write essays. there are also a lot of great moments scattered around in various episodes (“you still love me for all my faults?”, “i'll come on a conjugal visit”, “are you two married?” “no, but we’ve been through so much together it looks that way”, etc, etc, etc, i could go on forever).

➳ changbin

a sigh escaped from your lips when you knew changbin didn’t even greet you for your birthday. you had a fight the day before and you got so mad at him. he probably decided not to show himself the next day, which is, your birthday. even though you had a fight, you were expecting him to show up and apologize but night came, and there was still no changbin insight. you weren’t feeling upset anymore but the feeling of sadness and disappointment creeps in.

“how could he ditch me on my birthday?” you asked yourself as you walk back to your apartment after an unnecessary birthday party. but then, a moment later, you received a text from him telling you to go out and your feet dragged you downstairs where he was waiting. to your surprise, he was with his friends. hyunjin and seungmin where holding a huge banner with “happy birthday” on it as he was holding a bouquet of flowers and felix was holding a cake saying “i'm sorry”.

you burst into tears when the boys started to sing happy birthday. changbin hugged you tightly, reassuring that everything is okay and said he’s sorry. of course, you were happy that you finally made up, he kissed your lips and smiled as the others awed in response.

“happy birthday sweetie.” he said.

➳ hyunjin

you hate it when you and hyunjin fight over petty things. it was a night filled with exchanging arguments and you got tired of it, considering a break up. hyunjin was too stunned that he agreed to give you space. you’ve been fighting for the last few days about his schedule and other activities that he rarely spends time with you. you tried to be understanding but when you ask him to come home even just for a bit, he would refuse and try to blame his job. sometimes, he’ll get annoyed with you and not answer your calls and texts. but after a deep conversation with chan, he realized how focused he was with work that he’s missing out his time with you.

he misses you so much that you haven’t talked in 2 weeks, which you just let him be. by the next day, he went home and sat on your bed, trying to have a good conversation.

“i asked my manager to have a few days off so i could spend some time with you,” he said as he reached out for your hand. “i’m sorry baby… i should make time for you even if i’m busy.” he added as you pulled him into a hug. hyunjin buried his face on your neck as he pulled you closer to him.

“it’s okay… i understand,” you reassured him but hyunjin refused.

“no, i should make it up to you,” he said. “let’s stay home today and we’ll go on a date tomorrow, okay?” he said as he kissed your nose.

“i would love to.” you smiled and kissed him softly.

➳ jisung

you got mad at him for coming home late and drunk. jisung is not the type of person to drink but since he went to a party with his friends last night, he got carried away when he promised to come home by 11. you ignored him the next day in which he got confused why. he asked felix about it, and told about your sentiments with jisung. he barely got home by 3 am and you were so struck when he arrived, being loud and woozy, with chan and changbin carrying him helplessly. it was kind of embarrassing but you thanked them anyway. when jisung realized you were upset, he went home early that day and decided to cook even though he’s not good at it. cooking will be the last thing you wanted him to do, but since he knew he did something wrong, he wanted to surprise you and apologize.

you arrive later that evening and you were exhausted from work. the scent of delicious food entered your nostrils. it was so unusual for your boyfriend to cook that’s why you entered the kitchen immediately. you saw him wearing you apron and settled everything on the table with candles on the middle.

“you’re here.” he said. “welcome home sweetie.” he smiled.

“you cooked?” you asked as he rubbed his nape.

“yeah, i wanted to apologize about last night too,” he said. “i cooked your favorite, you should try it.” you gave him a doubtful look as he got nervous with it. sitting down to reach a spoon, you tasted the food and to your surprise it was so damn good. you were dumbfounded for a bit which made jisung good worried. “is everything good?” he asked, you gave him a thumbs up and went to hug him. a small smile formed on in his face as he hugged you back.

“apology accepted,” you said as he gave you a peck on the lips.

you rarely got mad at your boyfriend, felix. he’s the sweetest and that perfect partner you could ask for but that doesn’t mean you don’t get disappointed in him. you were so tired when you got home from work that night and he was not in the mood after hyunjin and him fought, which it doesn’t usually happen. he yelled at you after you nagged about not cooking dinner when you both agreed that he will, just this morning. it was so sudden that you were caught off guard and locked yourself in your room to cry. felix was stunned by his actions and went to work the next day trying to distance himself for a bit and to give you some space. you went to work wearing sunglasses to cover your puffy eyes and everyone’s attention was on you. it was another exhausting day but the fact that you are not on good terms with your boyfriend had it worse. you didn’t want to go home to see his face but to your surprise, your co-worker told you that he is waiting outside.

it was already the end of your shift as you went down to see him. he was wearing a worried face when he saw your eyes. he licked his lips before coming up to you, pulling you into a hug.

“darling, i’m so sorry i yelled at you.” he said. “are you okay, baby?”

you burst out crying again and hugged him back which made him got worried even more as he caressed your hair.

“i hate you so much! i was so tired yesterday, the last thing i wanted to hear was to you yelling at me.” you said as felix cupped your cheeks, kissing you softly.

“i’m sorry, i was just not in a good mood last night…” he said. he explained everything about what happened which made you apologize to him as well. “i’ll cook dinner and bake brownies for you tonight okay? i want to make it up to my sweetheart,” he said placing some strands of your hair behind your ear.

“you better.” you smiled as he kissed you again before taking a ride home.

you were so mad at him after he didn’t come to your date. it was supposed to be at 4 but he never came, no texts and calls saying that he can’t make it. you waited for him aimlessly but you grew tired and went home. you knew yourself that seungmin is quite busy these days as you were taking a whole week break from university. he promised to take you out on a date to spend some time after being so put up with work. but it didn’t turn out to be good. he know he had to run and apologize. you heard a knock on your door and when you opened it, seungmin pushed you back inside and gave you a hug.

“i’m so sorry, i was stuck in the middle of a meeting.” he said but you pushed him away. “i know you’re upset, let me make it up to you.” he pleaded with his puppy eyes which you can’t resist. seungmin held your hand, locking your fingers together and hugged you again. “do you want ice cream?” you looked at him in disbelief.

“you think a simple ice cream would make me feel better?” you asked.

“well if it’s your favorite then why not? you always beg me for ice cream when you’re mad.” he chuckled, kissing your nose. a smile was formed on your face, you can’t bear to be upset with him for too long.

you thought it was immature but you were already having a bad day and jeongin decided to take you to the amusement park to ease your problem. the truth is, you got a bad grade on your recent exam, it was a major subject and you were not feeling good about it. then jeongin came to comfort you and it was actually sweet for him to take you out on a date but it wasn’t the way you expected it. everything is going well when jeongin started to pull a prank on you by pouring fresh green slime above your head, thought it would make you laugh, you got mad at him. it was your favorite outfit and it got covered with slime, he saw how your mood worsen to the fact that he got scared and you went home.

he came in your apartment late at night after trying to reach you through the phone. he even asked for chan’s advice on how to deal with it but he said jeongin just need to apologize and try to talk it out that what he did was wrong. luckily, you opened the door and saw him in his “uwu” and pouty face. he knew you can’t stay mad at him for too long so he went to hug you.

“i’m sorry, i won’t do it again,” he said. “i thought it will make you laugh but i was wrong, can i cuddle you instead?” he asked with pleading eyes.

“you know i can’t say no to you.” you smiled as he carried you on the couch and started to cuddle. he came to be touchy and clingy to the fact that he won’t let you go until you fell asleep together with him hugging you tightly.

Everyone was feeling amazing. Even Rick and Michonne were feeling better, Negan had been defeated. No one had to live in fear anymore or be treated like shit. That was what the three communities had fought for and thanks to the ocean side who swooped in and helped at the end they were able to take down the saviors. Each community wanted to celebrate this and had a party combined at the Hilltop. Since the saviors had pretty much destroyed their homes, they didn’t have elsewhere to host the social gathering.

Y/n, thanks to her dad was good at hunting, which resumed in a lot of father and daughter time. Y/n didn’t mind at all though, her dad was everything to her. This leads to her and her dad walking back to the Hilltop with lots of different animals for the people, so that they could have a more ‘fancy’ dinner. Each step getting closer to the Hilltop felt more and more exciting for Y/n, she was finally seeing Enid after all this time. When the war was ongoing they, of course, didn’t have time to spend together. Especially when her dad was being held at The Sanctuary, Y/n was devastated and went to The Sanctuary by herself to get her dad out. She didn’t succeed though, when she made eye contact with him while hiding out he immediately shot her a look that said ‘get the hell out of here’, cause the last thing Daryl wanted was for Y/n to get caught then have something happen to her. It made her heart ache seeing how beaten up her dad was, dressed in some type of prisoner clothing. But she’d never disobeyed him much to everyone’s surprise, Y/n had always been a good girl. Daryl was very happy with how she was due to the history of his family.  

“Slow down there,” Daryl panted. “Yer old man is gettin’ old, why ya runnin’?” he asked.

“M’ not.” Y/n was quick to say.

“Yeah ya were, haven’t seen ya this excited since the prison.”

Y/n instantly knew what he meant and felt a little sad at the mention of her dead uncle. She knew he’d done some messed up stuff to Glenn when he kidnapped him and Maggie and took them to Woodbury. The people in her group didn’t want him at the prison, which she understood. Although Y/n was happy to see her uncle again, she hung out with him at the prison nonstop completely unaware that it would be the last time she’d see him forever. It hurt a lot when her dad came back to the prison and told her that the governor had killed him. She saw how upset he was and comforted him all night. Sure, she was upset about it, still it was nothing compared to her dad. However, their bond had only grown stronger since Merle’s death.

“M’ just excited knowing I’ll get to see everyone happy again” Y/n explained and ducked her eyes from her fathers gaze, knowing he’ll see straight through what she just said.

“Ya sure there isn’t just a certain someone ya want to see again?” Daryl teased her.

Y/n slapped his arm gently making her father chuckle, she just rolled her eyes. Her and Enid had gotten together a few weeks after the group arrived at Alexandria. Something about Enid drew her in, maybe it was the mysterious thing she got going on or the fact that she was hard to get and a total challenge for Y/n.

Y/n had never thought about dating before but that changed as soon as she saw Enid. Carl was their biggest supporter, he was also Y/n’s best friend. His death is something she was never going to get over. She misses him every minute and second of the day, knowing she’ll never get to share one of their inside jokes with each other again or that she’ll never be simply having a conversation with him ever again. Now he is gone forever, and there is nothing she could do to change that. Though her dad helped her through it so that she didn’t lose her mind. Y/n even comforted Rick a little, reassuring him that it’ll be okay and that he’ll be somewhat okay. The pair of them hugged, he knew how much Carl meant to her. She also said to Michonne that over time it will get better, she knew this by losing her uncle back at the prison. Everyday that went by she thought about him still it got easier after a while. She still missed him but knowing she still had a family that loved her made her keep going and let go of her uncle.

Daryl and Y/n finally arrived at the Hilltop, the people greeted them with happy looks on their faces for the first time in a while. Everybody tried to see what they’d caught as they walked to Rick and Michonne, who was standing at the old museum.

“Looks like you caught a lot of stuff.” Michonne said when the pair of them reached hearing range.

“Yea, little one ‘ere has perfect aim.” Daryl informed and gave Y/n a pat on her shoulder, making her smile softly at Michonne.

Daryl took the dead deer that Y/n had been carrying on her shoulders and handed it to Rick. Daryl, himself, was carrying four rabbits and two squirrels that he’d caught.

“That will be perfect for a lot of stew,” Rick pointed to the rabbits and squirrels in Daryl's hands. “Great job Y/n, this huge deer will feed many mouths.” He gave the teenager a soft smile. “That and we got enough of vegetables and potatoes here for stew.” Michonne chimed in.

“Where’s Enid?” Y/n asked the pair, impatiently tapping her foot against the ground while looking around.

“With Maggie, where the saviors that were dumped here are being kept.” Michonne said.

“Thank you,” Y/n thanked quickly then sped off to the little prison like see through house where they were being kept.

When she got there, Maggie was the first to notice her. She smiled at Y/n when she noticed her, then poked Enid in her side, who was standing and watching over the saviors that were inside the barbed wire. Enid turned around confused and her face lit up when she was Y/n. Y/n hurriedly walked over to them.

“Hey Y/n,” Maggie said.

“Hi Maggie, how ‘s it going with them?” Y/n asked in a lower tone referring to the saviors that were currently locked up.

“We’re letting them go out everyday one by one with a guard next to them. So far, there haven't been any issues.” She informed making Y/n nod. “I’ll leave the two of you alone to catch up.” Maggie gave Enid and Y/n a teasing smile.

Y/n smiled at Enid as Maggie walked away then brought her into a hug.

“I’ve missed ya a lot,” she said. “I never want to go so long without seeing ya ever again. I love ya, Enid.” Y/n felt how her whole body became warm when she said that, she’d never loved someone like this before.

They pulled away from each other and Y/n could see that tears had forced themself into Enid’s field of vision. She quickly grabbed Enid’s hands softly.

“Are ya okay?” Y/n asked.

She couldn’t even react before Enid had put her hands on the sides of Y/n’s face and kissed her. When she realized what was happening she put her hands on Enid's waist. The kiss was full of emotions, neediness, joy but especially romance and love. Enid broke the kiss when she had to pull away for air, she placed her forehead against Y/n’s and breathed heavily.

“I love you too,” she confessed in a soft whisper.

Y/n looked deeply into Enid's eyes, she could feel the tears starting to build up in her eyes. She had really found the right one, the way Enid made her think, feel and act was just right. Nothing could ever make her stop loving Enid. Enid was the one and only for her, she was perfect. The world felt like it was revolving around them and nothing could hurt them-

“Are you two done with your little moment?”

Y/n wiped away the tear that had spilled from her eye.

“Excuse ya?” Y/n asked as she looked at the savior who had just spoken.

He had dark brown hair that went down to his shoulders, it was wavy and his beard was more than a stubble but it wasn’t long. His eyes were dark green and he was tall and muscular. The look in his eyes filled with disgust.

“You heard me, no one here wants to see that, bitch.” He stated leaving Y/n absolutely mind-blown, not knowing what to say, but it made her furious when she saw that it made Enid quite sad.

“Ya listen to me now-” Y/n started but was interrupted.

“Woah, woah! Calm down there little lady,” another savior came up behind the man. “my buddy Jack here was just being a little rude and I’m truly sorry about that.” The man said, Y/n didn’t buy it though.

From the look on the man’s face, she could tell he didn’t mean it in the way she was hoping he did. He had a creepy smirk on his face that was very disturbing. The smirk grew even wider before he started talking.

“What he was trying to say is that, no one wants to see you kissing,” he said with a stupid smile on his face making Y/n confused. “We want to see some real action, if you know what I mean.” He winked at Enid making Y/n’s blood boil even more, yet she couldn’t get a single word out of her mouth. “I’ve only ever seen it in the movies, and I personally think that Jack was being rude, cause that kiss was honestly turning me on.”

Daryl had been watching from the entrance to the museum, Rick and Michonne had left to give the animals to Carol who was going to cook along with some other people around the place. He could tell something was wrong but he didn’t know what was. The way his daughter went from happy to disturbed so fast. Her whole body language had changed so quickly, he couldn’t see in front of her. Although he saw the whole thing with Enid and first thought that something had happened between them, because they had backed away from each other. He moved to the side and then noticed the two saviors that were talking to Enid and Y/n. Immediately by instinct he almost ran over to the scene that was taking place. Daryl knew how saviors could talk and how absolutely disgusting some of them were.

“As soon as me and Jack here get out of this box, why don’t you join us for a foursome.” The man winked at Y/n unaware that Daryl was able to hear him talk. “You’d enjoy it, it’s not like you know what it’s like to get some dick in you anyway. Maybe you’d just let us watch you and your little girlfriend-”

“Hey!” Daryl yelled with pure rage in his voice.

When he got eye contact with Y/n and saw how upset she was, he didn’t even think or hesitate. He reached in-between the wire and grabbed the guy's shirt then pushed him up against the barbed wire, making skin on the man’s cheek begin to pull off. The man’s eyes were now filled with pure fear.

“If I ever hear ya disrespect ma daughter and ‘er girlfriend again, I’ll rip every piece of skin off yer stupid fuckin’ face.” Daryl breathed heavily as he threatened the man, his rage making him forget how to breathe. “Ya hear me?” he asked.

The man nodded and whimpered in pain, the wire pulling harshly on his skin, making him bleed. Daryl let him go with a push making him fall back onto the ground.

“That goes for ya too.” He warned the other guy. “And every single else of ya fuckers, I’ll kill anyone ‘ere that looks their way, weather it’s harmless or not.”

When he turned around, his immediate reaction was to hug his daughter.

“’M sorry.” Daryl apologized as he held his daughter close.

“’S okay dad,” she said. “Thanks for standing up for me and Enid.” Y/n said and went to comfort her girlfriend.

“Thanks Daryl.” Enid said and gave him a quick soft smile.

“Let’s get ya two inside okay, don’t want ya out here with these assholes.” Daryl smiled softly back and then led them inside.

AITSF SPOILERS

Since Falco didn’t bodyswap, he’s still going around as Hayato. Unfortunately he doesn’t work at ABIS specifically, but he’s still a detective, and a well respected one at that. Boss in particular is often worried for him because his backstory in AITSF (childhood trauma + getting blackmailed into killing) is still a thing but because he hasn’t had a total memory and personality wipe like he got in the canon, he’s much gruffer, less silly, and very haunted. This doesn’t deter Ryuki from having a crush on him though, because he’s even more of the guiding superior type that he likes so much. But he has less opportunity to actually work with him, which means Ryuki is admiring like crazy from afar. There are a few times that they do get to work together, though, in the way you see that one MPD detective outside ABIS who still investigates the HB case. He considers Ryuki a very good subordinate and a great detective, but he’s kind of preoccupied by his own demons at the moment.

He and Hitomi still have the same style meet-cute where she saves him as he’s being pursued, but since Hitomi hasn’t been softened by motherhood here, she’s more closed off to him, and their relationship is still romantic but it’s unfortunately a sort of sad thing because they are never quite on the same page. He’s troubled by his work with the yakuza and is afraid it might affect her safety while she’s preoccupied with avenging Manaka and can’t bring herself to trust him enough to tell him about it. So while they do actually really love each other and want to be together, their relationship is on and off. Sometimes it’s Hayato calling it off out of fear for her safety and sometimes it’s Hitomi calling it off because she thinks she can’t get over Manaka enough to commit to a relationship. He feels really indebted to her and wants to do something for her that is equivalent to her saving his life, but can’t get her to tell him what exactly she wants (So’s head on a platter lol).

What Hitomi doesn’t know is that Hayato is familiar with one of her subjects of ire, Saito, who acts as So’s mouthpiece to the yakuza (so that So himself doesn’t have to risk interacting much with them, whereas Saito is very obscure to the public and incurs little risk of scandal if he’s caught seen with them). So Hayato is one of the few people who has a more realistic perception of Saito, who is more honest about his personality while at the Kumakura office. This is also why he is unnerved and uncomfortable with Ryuki being so friendly with Saito and warns his subordinate against him, but because he’s unable to explain why exactly he thinks Saito is so dangerous (as it would be incriminating), his warnings aren’t very effective. Hayato is the only assassin working for the Kumakura’s who is unwilling and unhappy about his job, so he stands out to Saito as a subject of intrigue and taunting. It’s the silly goofy dynamic of a guy who doesn’t want to kill people and is forced to + a guy who wants so badly to attack and maim and kill but isn’t allowed to, yknow how it is. He sometimes flaunts his “friendship” with Ryuki to Hayato to rile him up, which goes over Ryuki’s head for the most part, but absolutely delights Saito.

Fun bonus: we like to credit Date for getting Renju and Shoko to divorce and since Hayato never becomes Date, the Okiuras are unfortunately still together. This sucks really badly for Mizuki but makes for an incredibly tense and funny dinner party between the Sejimas and the Okiuras.
