I finally got my copy of Hilda Trollbrug Stories

we read the books we had in the series over and over and over again and suffice to say they were a large source of comfort and escapism for us as kids. we have a hilda in our system and she holds a lot of emotions that I find are just as much hers as they are mine when I get upset and sad and un-ok and often besides ourselves in hurt and grief and sadness and genuine anger about our childhood and the neglect from our parents we share those agonies. Because we were just a kid and it was so unfair. It shouldn’t have been that way and yet it was and we survived anyway.

So thank you Hilda the book series for comforting us and hilda in our system for holding those emotions away from me
