"Aemond, you can't-!"

He was little, yes, but he was quick, too, and he dodged under his mother's arm and fled her grasp. Cole sprinted after him and grabbed him a little too roughly and he knew it would leave a bruise. It made him grit his teeth. Still. Tears stung his eyes.

"My prince," Cole warned. "The storms are coming in. It is not safe to ride now."

He tried to rip his arm away, but of course the grown man was too strong. Strong, strong, strong. Strong men took it all.

Well. Not all of it. Targaryen boys took, too. Aegon took Helaena. But Aemond took Vhagar. If Aegon had their sister this day, then he would take his own flight, come what may.

Aemond's young face broke slightly, and he whispered "please."

Criston loosened his grip, and eventually his gloved hand rested under his chin. "It's too dangerous. I cannot keep you safe up there." He glanced up at the skies where clouds gathered. Across the eastern sea, thunder rumbled a warning.

"She can."

It took only a few more words to convince Cole to take him himself to the lair Vhagar made in the Kingswood. The queen was unhappy, but her guard spoke softly, and she looked at her sweet son, and she nodded.

An hour later, and the skies opened. So, too, did the wings of a mighty beast, and Aemond found himself at home in the open air. He sniffed back tears in vain. The higher they climbed, the louder she roared, an ancient call to the rumbling thunder.

"Do you miss Valyria?" Aemond cried out in the tongue she would always recognise. Rain pelted his face and filled his gasping mouth. "A place we will never know? We belong there, Vhagar."

Valyrian always felt like the language of his soul, and finally he found a creature who understood it like him. It made him cry harder. The crashing rain soaked him to his bones as they flew head-on into the storm. Aemond wept. He wept for his eye and for his sister. A year ago, life had seemed like it might have been so sweet for them, if only they had been left in peace.

"Vhagar!" he sobbed. He clutched onto the pommel as the pain of it all had him doubled over. He let himself mourn the world he would never know, for it lay in smoke and ruins. He let himself mourn the crown he would never wear, and again for the sister he would never wed, and the eye stolen. An eye that would not see.

The other saw it all.

His screams of anguish were met with roars of flame. Whatever he felt flying through the storm, Vhagar felt with him. By the time they emerged on the other side, Aemond was clean. Aemond was free.

The Walt Disney Company Annual Report (2004) Scans

So this is a bit of an odd find, but I just had to pick it up for less than a dollar - The Walt Disney Company 2004 Annual Report.

Honestly, the cover art was what grabbed my attention.

I mean look at that! I'm not even a huge Disney fan but I did get excited seeing this collage art.

So cool...and so weird?

I feel like so many characters are missing - characters that would be "obvious" for a more recent Disney collage.

Remember Disney before Star Wars? Encanto? Frozen?

I do. Vaguely. I am pushing 30 after all. (I jest). But I basically had almost forgotten how "small" the Disney roster used to be.

Kind of hard to imagine Chicken Little was the upcoming big animated movie for 2005!

I wasn't sure what exactly an annual report magazine was, but my boyfriend knew of them. Basically, they are breakdowns of the company's products, output, projects, commitments, sales, etc., as information for current/potential investors/shareholders to have an analyze.

That being said, I truly don't have much to talk about in regards to this book. Most of it is numbers numbers numbers, math, math, math.

It was a bit of slog to scan, but I did it!

However, there are some tidbits I am interested in - primarily the pop culture ones. I'll share a few with you.

Also take note of the goofy photo of all the execs photoshopped into a Chicken Little backdrop. There are many of these kinds of photos, typically one for each "category". They're all a hoot because the backgrounds are so whimsical and they're all so...proper and stuffy in their suits lol.

News to me!

It is kind of jarring to actually read and see how many seemingly random names/projects are associated with or straight up owned by Disney. This is especially apparent in the Broadcasting and Cable sections of the book.

I feel like we all know that now, but it's kind of jarring to look at media I grew up with and realize they're a lot more connected than I thought.

Just because I love references to old tech and the World Wide Web, I'll leave off with the first page of the Walt Disney Internet Group section.

The absolute chokehold Toontown Online had on me as a kid, and I never even played the game!! The thought of an online MMO was so fun to me, but I never got the chance to play it. I did regularly visit the Disney Channel website to play the games though!

For Hilary Duff, this is what dreams are made of.

The Lizzie McGuire alum is pregnant with her and husband Matthew Koma's third baby together and her fourth child overall, she confirmed on Instagram Dec. 12.

Alongside a sweet family photo, showing Hilary cradling her growing baby bump, the "Come Clean" singer wrote, "Surprise Surprise!"

Hilary is already mom to kids Luca, 11, who she co-parents with ex-husband Mike Comrie, as well as her and Matthew's daughters Banks, 5, and Mae, 2.

This new chapter for the family comes shortly after both Hilary and Matthew, both 36, celebrated their eldest daughter's birthday.

"Banks- the sweet/spice/dancing butterfly of our family!" Hilary captioned her Oct. 25 Instagram tribute. "5 years of memories with you are burned on my heart and soul forever and begging for more! You are all the top ingredients! Whimsical, yet practical. Smart-clever-cautious, yet free! Thanks for being ours and for being weird and princessy all in one glorious package!!!"

"Gosh I love you so much!" the Younger star continued. "To the best big and little sister there ever was! Happy 5 my little cherry bomb ! I sure hope the next 5 go by a little slower, all the cuddles, tickles, Taylor Swift, brain teasers, treats and trampoline bounces 4life my queen."

Matthew also celebrated Banks' special day with a sweet message on his Instagram page.

"Being your dad is the greatest gift of my life and seeing every day through your rainbow tinted eyes has colored our family with all the good there is in the world," the singer wrote. "I'm blown away by your wit, kindness, heart, affinity for Dawes and I can't even imagine what magic will come along with your 5th year on this planet. I love you forever and when we let you have social media at 37, you'll see this post and maybe feel a little guilty for telling me you love mommy more all the time."

A few weeks prior to Matthew's shoutout to Banks, the music producer had penned another hilarious Instagram tribute for Hilary's birthday.

"It's wild to think this first photo of us was taken almost ten years ago," he joked, referencing a pic of Hilary and Ed Sheeran. "I remember it so vividly, it's almost like we didn't break up three times between then and now."

Matthew—who, after an on-off relationship, officially tied the knot with Hilary in 2019—continued, "You blow me away everyday with your ability to juggle the un-juggle-able… you do it with such ease & grace. You have an endless well of energy and patience that makes you the super-mom + super-wife you are, all while bringing your wildest dreams to earth level, then still somehow giving a shit about our dogs at the end of the day."

He concluded his message by noting how much of an honor it is to be on this journey with Hilary.

"We're the luckiest," he added, before joking, "our kids are gonna be so stoked when they find out Ed Sheeran is their real dad. #paidad."

It's HARD.

It's hard to feel beautiful.

Had a self actualized moment around grade 9. Didn't focus too much on my looks.

Then I got called pig and fat by pretty much all my family members in senior high.

Even my relative's friend's kid called me fat in 2014.

Sometimes, here and there I don't feel good looking at all. My body's too thick. I have to wear glasses, I don't wear hair products in my hair 24/7. I don't have a make up kit near me like the popular girls back in high school.

With my city's passive, stoic ways, one of my teachers dismiss the fact to try hard to fit in and think "oh, just be yourself, it's okay." If you were back in my hometown which is more aggressive and more like a Hilary Duff, Lindsay Lohan film, you'd see why we're something like out of a Disney high school film.

When I don't feel beautiful, it makes me think of the reasons why my relatives left me behind.

I know that no matter what I do, even if I was either a glamour queen or a jock, they'd leave me out, but even if I were those things, would it have been possible if they would never have let me go?

On my mother's side, they left us all behind because they're stuck up snobs, and if you don't have a specific amount of cash that looks like a phone number, they'd toss you aside.

I don't know... I know this post is getting more bitter, word by word, but it seems everyone related to me, even immediate family members are assholes to me.

My dad's side's more like the popular kids, but my mom's side's more dorkier. Except one of my maternal cousins, she's a total popular glamour queen.

The Masked Singer: S11 E7 (Group A Finals/Queen Night)

Tonight, one celebrity will be crowned the Group A winner and go on to the quarterfinals, the other two will be unmasked.

I’m watching on a delay tonight, but have done my best to avoid spoilers. As always, I post before seeing unmaskings, so don’t take my guesses as spoilers.

Ugly Sweater 🧶: Says he inspired everyone from Snoop Dogg to Nirvana. Worked with Tupac. We see a sweater with the 🙏 emoji as well as an ingot of gold labeled “24K”. We see a crying 😭 emoji. His voice still isn’t immediately recognizable to me, but given how many people he’s been an influence on, he’s probably an older singer. I think the internet consensus has been Charlie Wilson from the Gap Band, so I’m tempted to go with that. The bonus clue: Bicycles labeled “Nick”. He says he gave Nick “dating advice”, and considering Nick has about a dozen kids, Nick didn’t forget, either! 😂 Robin seems to think this is Charlie Wilson, too. (The 24K clue seems to confirm it, too, as Charlie was a guest performer on Bruno Mars’ 24K Magic tour.)

Starfish ⭐️: She replaced someone who got fired from a project. A white rabbit toy. Could be a reference to either Joey Fatone (Rabbit in Season 1) or something related to “Alice in Wonderland” or the Jefferson Airplane song “White Rabbit”. The bonus clue: a magician pulling a card reading “Jenny” from Nick’s ear. She says she offered Jenny tickets to her show. So she might be a standup comedian? Ken seems to be going with the internet consensus, Kate Flannery from The Office. I’m not incredibly familiar with that show. I’m stumped.

Goldfish 🐠: The internet consensus is Vanessa Hudgens, I’ve been thinking it’s Carly Rae Jepsen. A map of an island with a question mark on it. She lost her “number 1 supporter”. A witch’s hat. A poster with a rose on it. The bonus clue: “Galileo” bringing a scroll reading “Ken”. She says she’s worked with Ken. It didn’t sound like Hilary Duff. Rita seems to think it’s Vanessa Hudgens, as she lost her father just before she was due to perform in a live TV adaptation of Grease. I think Goldfish ends up winning Group A, so I don’t see her being unmasked just yet.

Here is the plot of my new musical, Doing All Right! (spoiler alert: they’re NOT doing all right)

Taylor and Hilary are high school sweethearts who have just graduated high school. They’re going to college soon, and Hilary is going all the way to London for school. At the grad party, Taylor is nervous about being in a long-distance relationship, but Hilary tries optimistic about their future and encourages her to focus on tonight (“What Dreams Are Made Of”).

Fast-forward a few months, they’re still in touch, but Hilary hasn’t been initiating conversations. Taylor is worried that they’re growing apart, but she’s determined to make sure they don’t (“Message In A Bottle”).

Taylor has recently made a new friend, Chris. They go to a party and Chris, being a gay disaster, doesn’t know how to talk to men (“I’m Afraid to Talk to Men”). After getting drunk, both of them become significantly more confident (“Watch Me Shine”).

Outside after the party, a gross frat guy starts harassing Chris, Taylor defends her friend. The three of them get into a huge fight, the guy pulls a gun on them, but Taylor and Chris beat the living shit out of him and then shoot him (“Bohemian Rhapsody”).

Chris is horrified at what they’ve done, but Taylor promises that she’ll stand by Chris no matter what happens to them (“You’ve Got a Friend In Me”).

Taylor gets a call from Hilary, and she pretends nothing crazy has happened. It then hits her what she’s done. How does she tell her girlfriend? Meanwhile, Hilary has struggled to find her place in London and is depressed. In their own worlds, they both wonder how things would be if they’d never gone to different schools (“Talk to You”).

For winter break, Hilary pays Taylor a surprise visit. Now that they’re in person, Hilary can really notice how off Taylor is. She eventually confesses, and Hilary is heartbroken and angry, but not surprised. It is revealed that Taylor has had violent tendencies in the past and Hilary defended her when she was accused of almost killing someone a few years ago. Taylor had promised that she would never do anything like that again, but she broke that promise (“Forever & Always”). There have been several moments throughout the show implying that this relationship was codependent and they both felt stifled for different reasons. Now as the audience we can see that they while they loved each other, they were using each other as coping mechanisms; Hilary used Taylor as a distraction against her loneliness and need for validation, thinking she could “fix” Taylor, and Taylor used Hilary as a crutch to substitute the high she would get from hurting others.

Taylor drops out of college and turns herself into the police (“Blackbird”). Hilary, who has spent 4 years putting all of her energy into one person, is finally alone. She doesn’t know what the future holds, but she’s hopeful (“Doing All Right”).

Put your music on shuffle, play 5-10 songs and you have to make a musical with them, reblog and put the songs in the tags and how you would turn them into a cohesive story.
