starter - @sunliteve
Despite her return to this place and aware that they aren't roommates anymore, Hikaru was found on a bench at a nearby park at Golden Ward which is her new ward to live in. Again, better than Fibonacci.
Tumblr media
"Oh, hello Hiyori." She only sighed after missing a reunion chance with a dear friend from her world. She tried asking random people from her contacts to know if she was really here but no answer.
It was her fault for not being there last month which she was 'away from the stars'. Regretted, even.
"Sorry if you found me like this."

My picks for who MJF’s temporary replacement best friend should be while Adam is recovering, because he should absolutely get one, ranging from realistic to just dreams of mine:
Britt - Max misses Adam and is desperate for any connection to him. Insanely, he and Britt have never really talked. He seeks her out and asks if she wants to hang out. They immediately hit it off. When Adam comes back they’re best friends and is maybe a little bit jealous of Britt
Max Caster (+Bowens & Billy) - we need to bring this dynamic onto the show. We just do. They’re too good together not to. Also I really want to see MJF reluctantly scissor the three of them
Paul Wight - I mean, I don’t think I even have to explain this one
Best Friends - Max is sad about not having his best friend around, and has been sulking for weeks. The four (or five-six depending on if they hear my prayers and Hook joins, and if Danhausen comes back) of the Best Friends show up to try to take him in. At first he’s mean to them and doesn’t want to give them the time of day, but they eventually win him over. I love the idea of this dynamic so much, plus he’d have a big group to have his back against BCG
Even just Kris Statlander on her own because I would love to see them together so much
Willow Nightingale - honestly just because I know she would make him smile and I love that. Max deserves to smile and have fun
Hikaru Shida - I honestly think she works and has chemistry with everyone. I’d like to see them together, even just for a very brief time
The point is, MJF needs another friend and I think this babyface run he’s having is such a good opportunity to give him really great interactions with other faces before he has to go back to being a prick again.

Just some quick thoughts on All In. There will be spoilers.
Zero Hour
I, 100% did not expect Adam and MJF to win, at all. I expected there to be the initial start of a betrayal or something. I was pleasantly surprised, since I love the two of them.
Aussie Open seems really good. I should probably check out ROH.
Hook is one of my favorite anime protagonists, and Jack Perry has improved so much by being a complete piece of shit.
Also, Taz being hyped up for everything Hook does will literally never get old. Dude just sounds so proud every damn time.
CM Punk vs Samoa Joe
I don't really care a whole lot about CM Punk. I've seen a few of his pre-AEW matches, and I think he cuts a fun promo. I also think he's clearly enjoying himself, which makes watching his matches more enjoyable, in their own way.
That said, watching Samoa Joe just beat the absolute fuck out of Punk for most of the match was beautiful. I missed Joe in the original ROH and TNA/Impact, but his NXT and WWE stuff was so fun. Joe works at such a great pace, too. He literally always feels like a threat.
Seeing "real world championship" in quotes every time they mention CM Punk’s belt always reminds me of when AJ Styles was being announced in WWE as "The Man Who Would Like to be Announced as 'The Face that Runs the Place'"
Golden Elite vs Bullet Club Gold w/ Takeshita
Juice Robinson is my favorite feral little gremlin in pro wrestling.
Jay White is a beautiful piece of shit and I love him for it. He's also so fucking good in the ring.
Takeshita is also fantastic and has been consistently great.
I love how much everyone hates Don Callis.
Golden☆Lovers OTP
Hangman Adam Page is one of all-time favorite wrestlers. Just always happy to see him out there.
Ibushi tried to murder people with his kicks and it was fantastic shit.
A shitty surprise pin on Kenny Omega is absolutely on brand. I was peeved in a good way.
FTR vs Young Bucks
Fuck the Revival. I also like FTR a lot. Been a fan of theirs since NXT, and I loved seeing them draped in gold not that long ago.
I don't always feel like watching a Young Bucks match, but I always enjoy the match when it's done.
FTR and the Bucks were top-tier tag team wrestling today.
I legitimately expected FTR to lose, given the legal troubles that Cash could be facing. Seeing FTR win was a nice surprise.
FTR having arm bands for Brodie Lee, Bray Wyatt, and Jay Briscoe was so sweet, and so sad.
Stadium Stampede
Find someone who loves you as much as Eddie Kingston hates Claudi Castagnoli.
Mox looked so fucking cool walking out.
Oh my god, Trent, why, what the fuck. Please stop.
Someone getting skewers stabbed into their heads will always make me wince and laugh simultaneously.
Penta being walked backstage by medics only to return as Penta Oscuro was amazing shit. Penta is great.
Wheeler Yuta is the perfect person in BCC to be a bloodthirsty little goblin that you want to see eat the pin. He does his job well.
Also Best Friends hugging Yuta only to beat him up was gold.
I lost track of what was happening at least 400 times during the match and I don't care. I was thoroughly entertained.
Dr. Britt Baker, DMD v. Toni Storm v. Saraya v. Hikaru Shida
I assumed Saraya was going to win as soon as I saw her come out to Queen with her entire goddamn family walking out.
Toni Storm is a beautiful disaster.
In the event that Saraya wouldn't be winning, I didn't want Britt to win.
But that's also primarily because I *wanted* Shida to retain. Also, I love that Shida's theme has big 90s X-Men vibes.
Shida in general is just great. She should win every match.
I also just had no real investment in Brit for this match. She just kinda felt like she could have been nearly any other woman from the women's division. She wasn't *bad* by any means, just not someone I was pulling for or against.
I'm curious to see what happens with this implosion of the Outcasts now that Saraya and Toni aren't on good terms.
I dislike Ronnie Radke musically and as a person, so I'm not really thrilled at the idea of hearing Saraya's music more now that she's the champ.
At the same time, given all the shit she's been through, I can't be too mad about them giving her a run.
I still want Shida to have an actual good, long run though. I love her matches.
Christian Cage & Swerve vs. Darby Allin and Sting
Schiavone shouting "IT'S STING" is one of my favorite things in wrestling.
Joker Sting is fun as hell.
Swerve is actually the coolest motherfucker on the entire roster, and it is a literal crime that he doesn't have a belt.
Christian Cage is a menace and I can't get over that he wrestles in a sleeveless turtleneck now.
Darby is here for a good time, not a long time.
Sting is SIXTY-FOUR GODDAMN YEARS OLD AND SHOULD NOT BE DOING THIS STUFF.
Darby shouldn't either, but I'm fairly certain he's not even human anymore.
I love Swerve.
I also love Prince Nana.
Getting all of Wembly to shout "Swerve's house" probably felt cool.
This was fun as hell.
Will Ospreay vs Chris Jericho
bruv
Ospreay is so fucking good, dude. Like he's absolutely up there as one of the best to do this. Every match I've seen of his just blows me away.
Jericho is also absolutely one of the most versatile wrestlers of all time. I've seen this man reinvent himself like a dozen times, and every time feels just as natural as the one before it.
If they had Jericho win, there was going to be a riot.
Plz give me more Ospreay matches. Dude can fucking go.
I'm curious to know what happens with Jericho and Sammy now
House of Black vs The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn
HOB walking out with a lantern 😭
The Fireflies 😭
HOB looks so cool in white, holy shit.
I love Julia's hats.
I am not a cop, so obviously I love The Acclaimed.
Billy Gunn coming out in full-on Badd Ass Billy Gunn trunks made me feel like I was 12 again.
I love HOB, but if The Acclaimed didn't win this, after their whole mini arc of Gunn retiring, and Gunn bringing back BABG, I was gonna be mad.
Is there a rule that someone has to wreck Julia's shit every match, because lmao
A lot of fun.
Brody King scares the hell out of me.
Adam Cole vs. MJF
I went into this expecting heartbreak
Adam Cole, who took character inspiration from Handsome Jack from Borderlands 2, comes out sporting some definite Broderlands-vibe gear.
MJF is still wearing BTYBB gear.
MJF as this babyface-leaning thing is actually some of the greatest shit I've ever seen. The whole turmoil over using a weapon feels like Roddy Piper vs Bret Hart.
Cole being a desperate POS to the confused, hurt, and mad MJF was wonderful.
The tombstone onto the announce desk with metal reinforcement was brutal on my knees as a viewer.
lol Roddy. lmao.
MJF and Cole almost having a total falling out after the match was amazing.
Cole opting not to slam the AEW belt into MJF's head after the match, and they hug instead? Cinema.
Was I still deeply concerned that there was going to be a betrayal literally up until the PPV feed stopped? Oh hell yes. I watched Ciampa turn on Gargano after the little copyright stuff showed up in NXT. I will *still* be concerned about that until the moment it happens.
That said, I genuinely don't want it to happen because these dudes work so well together. They're just so fucking dorky in the best way.
Misc. Other Thoughts
I missed whatever happened with Miro and Hobbs, because I just missed the whole first hour of Zero Hour.
Apparently there was Drama involving Punk and Jack Perry-- I guess related to the use of actual glass in the windshield of the car that Hook and Perry wrestled on? Whatever. Punk isn't why I watch this stuff, but I would rather Perry not get screwed.
Why did they keep panning over to Mercedes Moné if she wasn't gonna do anything other than vibe to The Acclaimed's theme?
That being said, I was loving the wig she had on. I've been liking the shorter-cut wigs compared to the long-ass stuff she was wearing as Sasha Banks
A lot of people kept expecting Edge to show up at some point. I'm pretty sure I saw somewhere that his contract was extended.
Overall, this was, in all honesty, probably the best wrestling PPV I've ever watched. And, thanks to the invention of VHS tapes in my youth and the WWE Network as an adult, I have seen a *lot* of PPVs. This felt bigger than any Wrestlemania I've watched. I can't compare it to Wrestle Kingdom because I've never actually seen one of those all the way through. But it had numerous people who have been in Wrestle Kingdom matches, which were great.
I'm just annoyed that All Out is next goddamn week, because I don't want to shell out $100 in two weeks for this stuff.
Regardless. I love wrestling. We are in one of the greatest eras of pro wrestling, if not *the* greatest. What a time to be a fan.

(not really) poorly explaining every single rhymix character's backstory (to the best of my ability) (part 1)

1. Ars Cantate
prince who gets gem that has been passed down from generations to generations by his parents. experiences torture through his evil shadow self. suffers from there.
2. Lucas
really wants to get out of his home nation for god knows how long but can't because the people around him are holding him back so he turns to his best friend (who is still unnamed for now fuck) to help him. ends up getting betrayed by said best friend but manages to escape by himself.
3. Ana
gets backstabbed and used multiple times by others so she decided that, "if they dug her grave, then she'll dig up theirs too."
4. Fate
doesn't have an interesting enough backstory she's just there.
5. Testify/Eternity
was jealous of amazing mighty so she wished that she could have her own nation so that she can finally know what it feels like to be a leader. her wish somehow came true and memoria was a thing lol. also many many centuries later she has beef with tempestissimo and kills him and then regrets it and revives him and becomes eternity. i will elaborate this in detail one day for i am Still fleshing this one out lmao.
6. Galactic
was really upbeat and was besties with spinel but then spinel went missing and then she went cold ooooooooo so so sadddddd
7. Destonio
HOW DID I NEARLY FORGET HIM I'M CRYING. anyways he experiences pain and agony for a few years and gets revealed of The Horrors Of The World™ and grows to hate it. met lumine and was starting to slowly heal but then lumine fucking killed herself and then he became miserable again. ends up killing himself too and then amazing mighty made him a god. good fucking lord.
8. Felicia
no real backstory nothing interesting about her other than she met dahlia and experiences what it feels like to feel Yurious.
9. Dahlia
attempted to off herself but then got stopped/saved by felicia. she then experiences what it feels like to feel Yurious.
10. Dawn
girl finds out about hikaru (who was a popular idol at the time) and then idolizes him and swears to be just like him one day. ends up achieving her goal in the end, but by the time that happened hikaru was already "dead" (or...yk, became a god).
11. Raven
i can't think of one for her yet. i'll think of something eventually. next.
12. Risa
was an angel but then certain events that i have not fleshed out on happened and then she was sentenced to not be an angel any longer and then ends up on rhymix with zero recollection of what happened prior and zero memory of who she is.
13. Unknown Levels
some guy created him but then deemed him unworthy so he just left UL in his old workshop and fucked off to elsewhere. unknown levels was only left with a note saying "main objective of creation: destroy" or something like that idfk.
14. Abstruse Dilemma
raised to be the perfect ruler to the kingdom his parents ruled over at the time, but that gave him pressure and even more depression and anxiety oooooooo. arghena then comes into memoria and snatches him lmao. but don't worry he comes back eventually.
15. Primeval Texture
a bunch of scientists made an experiment using a bunch of elemental pieces of various textures and then conjoined them together to become one. but then those pieces became primeval and she wasn't the result they had hoped for (for whatever reason????) so they discarded her and then she was found by a family and then she got adopted into it yayayayayayaayayayaya
16. Technicolour
used to be such a cheerful kid who loved his family and friends so much. lived in a relatively small neighbourhood that eventually got fucking destroyed in an accident involving the higher ups. before that happened tho techni got sealed away in his protection cube that's in some sort of realm by his father and then boom. he's stuck there for most of his childhood and teenage years. sad. but he gets out thanks to primeval and stasis eventually so yayyyyy
17. Logos
lives in a rich and wealthy family but thinks it isn't worth it since she felt like this isn't the life she sought out for. eventually went on a walk during the rain and found abstruse drenched and alone like a sopping wet cat lmao. eventually becomes friends with him :)
18. Ego Eimi
was a normal angel in heaven until she accidentally did something that she didn't know would be considered a sin. proceeds to get kicked out of heaven and becomes a fallen angel and then she swears she'll get back there eventually.
19. Arghena
random ass bitch from another universe that is NOT rhymix who tries her hardest to appeal to other people in many ways possible, especially at school back then. but nobody noticed her efforts and she then felt like a loser nobody who no one gives a shit about. she then found out she has the ability to look into other universes and then sees abstruse and immediately gets jealous of him because he is everything that she is not. so she travels from universe to universe to find him. eventually comes into rhymix, fucking KIDNAPS ABSTRUSE, AND THEN SETS UP A NEW OBJECTIVE FOR HERSELF: "i'm gonna dethrone amazing mighty lmaooooooo"
20. Transient Space
doesn't have an interesting backstory. youch.
21. Nameless Passion
born from arghena's really weird desires. lmao.
22. TeraVolt
nothing interesting about her she's a FUCKING THUNDER GODDESS FOR FUCK'S SAKE.
23. Tempo
his life is so boring lmao. he made shifta because he wanted to test his coding and building up a robot skills.
24. Shifta
created by tempo so that he can test his coding and building up a robot skills. oh and also so that she can aid and help others and do combat and shit i guess. look i scrapped the thunderriders okay what do you want me to do with their backstories now.
25. Trojan
MALWARE VIRUS TURNED HUMAN WHO CAN GLITCH IN AND OUT OF REALITY AND IS REALLY GAY AND KIND OF TWO FACED. OH MY GOD THIS SOUNDS MORE LIKE ME POORLY DESCRIBING HIS CHARACTER THAN HIS BACKSTORY BUT SHHHHH MOVING ON.
26. Callima Karma
nothing much to say about her. L.
27. Pamolia
shy and timid girl who keeps getting bullied at school no matter if it's middle school or high school. eventually met pupa one day and was really freaked out at first but then accepts him either way. more will be elaborated and shown in side story 4.
28. Pupa/Larva
guardian spirit for pamolia who was originally a normal girl who liked bugs just as much as pamolia did but then got MURDERED BY MANTIS BECAUSE HE HAD TO. FUCK. anyways more of his whole relationship with pamolia will be elaborates and shown in side story 4.
29. Tempestissimo/Momento
was a devil from hell who then did a good deed which is Not what devils were supposed to do so he gets kicked out. ends up in memoria and is scared shitless because he keeps seeing memories of conflict reflected on the glass butterflies and then grows cold and hostile and needs to hurt someone NOW. eventually has beef with testify and then gets killed by her but then she regrets it so then she revived him and then he becomes momento. also now he goes by he/she good for her.
30. Conflict
nothing interesting she's just there i guess whoops.
31. (Jak)Arta
was friends with hikaru but then had to move away and then had slight beef with hikaru about it and then ends up moving away either way but then felt guilty about it. weeks later he finds out hikaru's dead and immediately blames himself for it. he learned to Sort Of move on from it over the years tho and managed to become a train conductor and learn how to like. make his own little robot friend oh my god wow!!!!!!!!!!!
32. Miracle
suffered through abuse by her mother for years on end and when she finally gets out from that situation the damage is already done. eventually gains magical girl powers and is tasked to guard the miracle forest in phi central.
33. Ether Strike
lived a life filled with happiness and good memories but eventually got bored of it. the memories he made gets stored in glass butterflies that flutter around behind him and then one day they all hover over him and trapped him within them to the point where he nearly lost his mind over how bright it is in the glass butterfly seal lmao. gets rescued by ray afterwards. hasn't realized One Thing about him yet tho.
34. Axium Crisis and Lady
axium took lady to the vicious labyrinth in the lost world area because he has been curious about it for god knows how long. gets in, tries to collect all of the conflict glass butterflies with lady, and then he decided to play the hero and literally destroy the labyrinth to the best of his ability to the point where it goes BOOM POUSH KACHOW onto the ground. axium was safe but then lady saw an anomaly and was traumatized ever since. axium felt bad since lady blamed it all on him and then he just. lost his old self and became more hostile and constantly blaming himself for hurting lady.
35. Aegleseeker
tries to find lost light in the area in memoria he lives in, ends up getting into an entirely different universe that's just pitch black, has a panic attack about it, but then saw overwhelm and she was like "hey i'm here to help you lol" and then they ventured thru the weird mirror dimension together. eventually they found myriad and far away light—memoria's source of light that aegle has been looking for. aegle fights myriad, defeats her, and then they all come back to rhymix where the light is restored in aegle's home area yippeeeeee
36. Crave Wave
nothing much about him for now. meh.
37. Chariot
was alone for some time and felt miserable until destonio and retribution took her in as a member of team destruction lmao. woooo
38. Retribution
had history with destonio but desto didn't felt too much of a connection with him. eventually years later they reunite and destonio offers to take retribution in to become a member of team destruction. retri agrees, and then boom. it's like as if he was a loyal dog and destonio was his owner (good god that's a really awful comparison but it's accurate enough. retri's dickriding is crazy.)
39. Lumine
saw The Horrors Of The World™ just like destonio lol. met destonio, became friends with him, only to kill herself a little while after. she then accidentally gets revived by fate when fate was trying to hijack the project destruction simulation lmao.
40. Ad Astra
NOTHING ABOUT HIM. LITERALLY 97% OF THE GODS DON'T HAVE BACKSTORIES BECAUSE THEY JUST SPAWN INTO EXISTENCE LMAOOOOOO. got married to moonlight tho i guess. horray
41. Moonlight
nothing either. got married to ad astra tho i guess. horray
42. RGB
can't think of anything for her yet lmaoooo.
43. Dynikitos
saw a lake when he was like. middle school aged and then dipped his hands into it out of curiosity. eventually gets jumpscared by a bunch of slimey vines coming out of it and crawling onto his arms and then boom. he gets the ability to control them since then.
44. Amekagura
nothing interesting about her sorry girlie :/
45. Spinel
was friends with galactic but also faced pressure back at home. gets sick of it and then runs away. eventually she joins some organization that promised to make her life better or WHATEVER. galactic then found her, confronted her, fought her, cried onto her, and then spinel decides to leave and come back to galactic :)
46. Clarith and Chase
they both went to school once but then some terrorist attack happened with killed nearly all of their classmates AND their homeroom teacher. are both traumatized ever since.
47. Glory Road
nothing special here.
48. Lightning Screw
didn't got much attention as a kid so he acts high and mighty to feel special and superior to other kids and to make himself feel less lonely. grows up with that attitude and only glory road can really make him stop acting like that for a short period of time lmao.
49. Felis
explores memoria unaware of his origins with his companion who i don't have a name for yet fuck. a few things happened which then led to felis finding out that this companion of his is a replica of HIM. AND THAT HE ISN'T REAL. AND FELIS IS THE REAL ONE. felis then has an existential crisis that has never stopped until now.
50. Arcahv
she lives a normal life, though since she has to finish college in astria (the nation ars' family rules over) she had to go back and forth between astria and memoria (she usually visits memoria for summer/winter breaks anyways). one time she was at memoria for winter break she met tempestissimo, and the two constantly meet each other at random times each day. eventually tempest makes an attempt to fucking murder her but that got backfired once testify and the rest of her Allies™ came in. also did i forget to mention that she knows tessi personally? yeah. that.
51. World Ender
wasn't originally a god, but rather a leader to the devils in hell. eventually has a change of heart and wants to do good instead, so they cut off their wings, horns, and tail and went to amazing mighty for guidance and then WOOSH. they're a god now yippeeeeeee
52. Overdose
high school drop out, does drugs, blah blah blah. eventually struggles financially so she turned to streaming to get income.
53. Yamero
depressed, filled with anxiety and self hatred, blah blah blah. eventually found out about streaming and decided to try it out for herself.
54. Spasmodic
all i'm gonna say is that she had history with lea. ok moving on.
55. Kumo
has literally suffered for most of her life and has had enough of it. went batshit insane and killed her abuser and then ran away with a new identity.
56. Temptation
she was made specifically to compliment with aleph i guess. that's all.
57. Equilibrium
became the cantate family's royal guard at the young age of 19. got underestimated at first but then he managed to prove his worth.
58. Ringed Genesis
he's not an angel nor is he a god......and he's not a bird either. sorry genesis. either way nothing too interesting about this man other than the fact that he knows both tessi and arcahv personally and he first met edel when edel was injured. he's so high and mighty when really....he's just some guy 🥲
59. Amazing Mighty
oh mighty.
isn't actually truly a god. he originally was a human being who just suffered a lot back then and wanted some worth but never got it back then. during pandora's whole outrage on making the world "perfect again" he dies. at the same time pandora gets put in a prison realm similar to felys' prison realm to atone to her....uh. sins, i guess????? anyways because pandora—the literal ruler of rhymix at the time—was just. some prisoner now, amazing mighty then took her place and he was just SO CONFUSED AT FIRST. initially acted like his usual pathetic self from when he was a human around the other gods but then they didn't see him as a worthy leader so he had to put on an act. do you see the furina genshin impact inspiration yet. anyways yeah that's all. mighty's is lengthy for a reason lmao.
60. Satellite, Terabyte, and Opia
lumping them all together because all of their backstories takes place in the same place. i would've put perfect here too but i'm gonna be honest, she has a whole other thing going on with her that's separate from these three so yeah. anyways they were science experiments in a lab since they were little. eventually tera got fed up so she and the other kids set up a plan to run away from the lab. plan becomes success, they run away and live freely in the end. sate and tera keep in touch, but since they weren't That close with opia, they don't know how he's doing now either. okay yeah this is also long but ywah
yk what i'm splitting this into parts lmaooooo so yeah hahahaahhdfjfngj

Hikaru, I Love You (3)
Akari stared at the contents of her drawer with teary eyes. Longing to greet her again while remembering the memory she had with her sweetheart. The memory of the pills that Hikaru regularly bought for her.
"You know me so well, right? I'm not good at controlling myself. That's why Sai was born when we weren't ready. Then, I want you to help me by drinking these. Will you help me, Akari?" That was the first time Hikaru asked Akari to take pills regularly.
Akari really hasn't missed it in years. She thought that the pill would only be taken temporarily, but it turns out that Hikaru asked her to continue even though Akira already had 2 children, "I'm sorry, Akari, please have Sai only... don't even think about giving him a sibling... please..." It was really scary if something happened to Akari again.
Why didn't she use IUCD? Because according to Hikaru, "The only one who can enter you is me and the only thing that comes out of you is from me!" Hikaru's spontaneous words sounded selfish. Akari chuckled in between her tears because she remembered it.
Hikaru is indeed selfish, but his selfishness is because he has great love. Therefore, Akari could always forgive him. She also wants to love what Hikaru loves: Go, Sai, his friends and rivals. However, when what Hikaru loved was herself, Akari was deeply touched. Sniff sniff. She was confused by what she felt: was she happy or sad?
"Hikaru…" she said while holding the pill with wet cheeks, "Hikaru…" she couldn't continue what she was saying because there was too much she wanted to say. She hoped she could say everything if they met again. Someday. In the afterlife.

“Memories at the school Water Fountain”
(This chapter will be a lil boring but I promise to make it spicy in part 3 :) )
Tap here for part 3
kyoya ootori angst: click here for part one
Tumblr media
you sat in your dark cold room thinking about the 2 years you wasted on Kyoya Ootori
You were to foolish, you kept on thinking if I could go back two years and tell my stupid self to say no my heart wouldn’t of been in pain like this, you didn’t knew if you were sad or angry, memories of your youth wasted was all you could of remembered
You remembered all the dates you went on which you talked to much and he just gives you 3 word answers or how he looked unamused with you whenever you told him a joke or gave him a kiss, it was so embarrassing on how much u looked like a fool towards him, on how most time he didnt acknowledged your existence, you were the only one putting most of the effort in the relationship
You didn’t come to school for a week because you got sick, you spent that time with your family proving your family’s innocence, You didn’t think about him during the day, but at night you couldn’t even sleep, all you thought of was him and how he did you wrong, you got texts from haruhi and the host club but you were to afraid to open them… your family decided to move you and your brother to France to live with your aunt, and they didn’t say when you could come back, were you really moving from your home Japan In a month before graduation? Well at least you don’t have to see Kyoya ever again…
It has been a week and today you are going to school, and see everything unwind it felt so suspenseful, what was going to happen? How do you avoid him? Before you went to school you saw that you are still wearing the ring, the ring he brought for him and you, the ring he threw away, you didn’t have the heart to throw it away so you putted it in a little purple pouch he brought for you when u were at the mall, you kept it in your drawer and left for school, everyone still whispering about you, the weird stares, you didn’t care anymore you didn’t give a fuck
The day went fast and Haruhi checking up on if you were ok, Her calling him and jerk, it is now after school usually by now you would of went to the host club to see your boyfriend, but today you passed by and saw Tamaki, he saw you and said”Y/n Chan how are you?, I’m sorry the idiot did that I can talk to him if u want me to?”, “it’s ok Tamaki… me and him are done for and I’m ok with that, I’m rooting for you and Haruhi tho haha” you said trying to sound cheerful having watery eyes, “Y/nnnn come eat strawberry cake with me and usa-chan” honey senpai said by the door, “hah not today Honey senpai, sorry I got some homework to do, I’ll come by maybe next time” you said “aww ok y/n cya around” honey said
You left school and returned home, repeating the same routine for 2 weeks, trying to avoid the host club was hard but you did it, you were about to move soon you were going to miss the host club and Haruhi, you kept on thinking if you should tell Haruhi, and the host club members if you were moving or not
You did, you planned to tell them after school…(time skip after school) You entered the host club nervously, but a sigh of relief noticing that Kyoya wasn’t there, everyone was surprised to see you, you haven’t felt happy in a long time, but it had to end, “hey guys I’ve got something to tell you…” “what is it y/n” they all said, “I’m moving in about two weeks to France, I just wanted to say that and thank you for all the time I spent with you all” you said holding in your tears, you didn’t know it would feel this painful, without you knowing your face was tear stained, They were all schocked by the news, “Y/n why didn’t you tell us sooner?” Haruhi said angered, “ “it was to hard for me to tell u guys” you said crying “No y/n don’t cry your going to make me and Usa Chan cry” honey senpai said sad, “we could of spent more time with you, you idiot” said the twins in unison, mori senpai just looking at you sadly, and Tamaki still shocked, after the conversation they planned to spend the remaining time with you before you moved
It is now your last day in Japan, your parents asked if you didn’t want to go to school today but you just wanted to look back at the memories, today you came to school really early, you walked pass the water fountain where he confessed to you in freshman year and broke up with you, you standed near the fountain for about a good and bad 20 minutes reminiscing about all the good times, till you saw Tamaki
“Hey y/n… have you told Kyoya about today is your last day in Japan? He said nervous, “ no I haven’t, and I don’t think he would care, it doesn’t benefit him in anyway”you sighed “do you want me to tell him for you? He asked nervously, “I’m sorry Tamaki but please don’t tell him, he wouldn’t even care that I’m moving and he’s not even my boyfriend…” you said sad, “your really sure?” He asked “yes please promise me and tell the host club members to not tell him anything about where I am” you said, alright well We’ll see you at the airport Y/n” he said leaving to a class
You left walking to the administration office to give them your papers, until you saw Him Kyoya staring at you for a long time, he was about to say something to you butyou were scared and nervous but you just ignored him and left, You spent the rest of the school day hanging with Haruhi and, Haruhi reminding you to send her letters and frequent texts, school ended and you looked at the host club door one more time, then left to get your luggage to the airport
You holded your luggage with your brother to the airport, seeing the host club members giving you a last hug before you left you yelled,“TAMAKI REMEMBER TO INVITE ME TO YOU AND HARUHIS WEDDINGGGG, I’M ROOTING FOR THE BOTH OF YOUUUUUUU” you said with tears in your eyes, you looked back and left on the plane to Paris France, goodbye Japan, goodbye Ouran Academy, Goodbye to my dearest friends, and goodbye to the boy I still can get over… Kyoya Ootori
***2 weeks later in the Ouran host club****
“Tamaki where’s y/n?” Kyoya said
“I’m not allowed to tell, sorry” Tamaki said
“Tamaki I’m being serious right now where’s Y/n?” He said nervous
“Wait Y/n Chan didn’t tell you she moved ?” Honey Senpai said butting in
“Wha-?” Kyoya said shocked
“We weren’t suppose to tell him!” Hikaru and Kauru said
“Why would you care Kyoya senpai?” Haruhi said
Kyoya was in shock of the news that he just heard…

Passed Down Trauma

The War Has Begun | Next
“Why are you attempting to assassinate Eito L/N?”
“I’m not.”
“You’re lying, L/N. We found the notes in your home, we found the gun hidden in your car, and all of Japan has seen the video of you slandering your own father. Why did you do it?” Officer Yuikmara slammed his hands on the table in attempts to strike fear in you.
Without faltering, you said with a smile, “I can’t tell you what I didn’t do. . . but I can tell you that you have twenty four hours to let me go before it all gets fully released, Mr. Yuikmara.”
Katsuki and Kirishima stood in the living room of Katsuki’s apartment on what felt like pounds of questions and anxiety. Everything was going smoothly in the operation to protect Y/N and Ryu — now one was missing and the other was in police custody. The tension in the room was thick and despite Eijirou’s tendency to lighten situations, he made no move to ease his friend’s mind. In fact, deep down he wanted Katsuki to suffer for reasons that he knew were selfish and out of line. The unspoken feelings he had for a woman that he shouldn’t want were not hidden, and could not stay silent forever. Especially when that woman’s life was in danger and he couldn’t help but blame Bakugou.
“I’m going to burn that bastard’s house down, and Icy-Hot can put out the damn flames when I’m done.” Katsuki fumed as he paced the floor to try and calm down to think clearly. It was taking everything in him to follow the law and try to take Eito down the legal way, but with every minute he spent working on the case, he realized just how inbedded that man was in hero companies and the police force.
“That won’t get Y/N home, and you know it. What we need to do is wait for her to post bail and find Ryu, she’s probably worried about him.” Eijirou said, trying to find a way to solve all of this and think of what would help Ryu and Y/N.
Katsuki glared at Eiji, “you think you know everything? Y/N wasn’t even phased when we found out he was missing, you idiot!” Katsuki seethed at him.
“I know that Y/N loves her kid more than anything else, so maybe you were too busy being emotional to understand what she was feeling!” Kirishima bit back, not wavering under Katsuki’s harsh gaze.
“You’re just some sad, lovesick moron,” Katsuki taunted. “Why don’t you just admit the reason you don’t believe that she knows where Ryu is, is because you don’t want to believe that she’s hiding things? You think she trusts you so much that she’d tell you more than me? I can guarantee you that, like always, you’ll never be better than me.” Katsuki finished, both of them standing face to face with clenched fists and locked jaws.
The silence was loud like roaring beasts threatening the other to make the first move; two men who fell for the one they couldn’t fully get their arms around. Their friendship was equally as important to both of them, but how could one swallow their feelings for Y/N, simply for the sake of the other? Neither of them thought the other was worthy enough for such a beautiful tragedy you had written in your very bones. There was no personality, no smile, no heart that could compare to you. Even if they fought, the loser wouldn’t dare accept defeat.
A ringing phone broke through the silence, Katsuki’s pocket suddenly vibrating and taking his attention as he pulled it out. An unknown number was displayed across the screen, and in normal circumstances, he would have immediately sent it to voicemail with no hesitation or concern for who was on the other line. Today was anything but a normal circumstance.
“Hello,” he answered in a clipped tone.
“Mr. Bakugou, it’s Nanami. . I have important information I need to discuss with you.”
Rotting in a holding cell wasn’t how you wanted to spend your weekend, but it was better than being dead — you weren’t sure you wouldn’t be dead soon anyway, so you’re savoring just being in jail. You couldn’t even post bail, so you had to sit on the brick like bed and wait for everything to go through. Everything you built was currently being destroyed while you sat here calmly, waiting for the fire that is your father to be put out so you can remove the remains of his hold on your life and be free. . .
. . .Free to do what?
“L/N, you have a visitor, let’s go.” An officer interrupted your peace and opened the door of your cell, and you followed him without a word.
When you entered the small, dimly lit room, a woman sat there with such a crestfallen expression that you could barely recognize her. Her skin that was always flawless with minimal makeup was bare and her color suggested sickness. The gorgeous and bouncy hair that she did her best to maintain everyday was dull and clearly untouched. She looked like a mess, even in her bright flower patterned spring dress.
“Mom?” You said quietly, feeling a twinge of fear towards her when she was in such an unhinged state.
She looked up at you open hearing that word spill from your lips, and her expression brightened ever so slightly. It settled the fear and allowed you to fully fall into worry as you slipped into the chair in front of her — for the first time in years you offered her your hand for comfort. When her cold hand touched yours, you squeezed tightly in hopes of bringing her some warmth even in the cold room.
“I always knew you were secretly a momma’s girl,” were the first words out of her mouth along with an airy laugh. The joke was strange when it came from her, but for her sake you cracked a small smile. “I have a lot to tell you, Y/N.” She said in the softest tone you’d ever heard, grabbing every bit of your attention.
“You don’t have much time, so just say what you have to say.” You urged her, unsure of when you’d be able to speak to her again once she left this room. She had fallen off the Earth after that phone call, and you didn’t want her to leave you with questions.
Your mother began with a deep breath, “I’ve been married to your father for twenty five years. I did it for the money, never once thinking or caring about what he did and how he acted. . . until you were gone. I realized that he was. . different from other people. One day he was kind and compassionate, the next he was ruthless and cold, like a ticking time bomb that kept going off and shortening the time until it’s next reaction. It was easy to ignore at first, I just left him alone as I always did and made sure our interactions were kept completely secret. . Then he saw you on the news with that Bakugou boy-“
“You have five minuets left,” a man called on a speaker into the roo and you gestured for her to get to the point.
“What I’m trying to say is that there’s something wrong with him, Y/N. If you take him down by just destroying all his business and credibility I’m scared he’ll do something drastic that will hurt a lot of people.” Your mother said shakily, and the fear in her face was chilling you to the core, along with the fact that if you looked back you could tell that she was right.
‘What do I know about my grandparents on his side? I’ve never seen a baby picture from him, or even any picture of when he was young! What happened to him that drove him to become the controlling business man that would step on anyone in his way?’ You thought at a rapid speed, finding too many similarities between your reaction to trauma with how he always had acted. If not then more extreme.
“What am I supposed to do?” You whispered, your eyes falling to the cold metal table between you two.
“You have to talk to him,”’ your mother said. “I know you have a way of getting out of here, and when you do, go straight to him and tell no one. . You are his biggest failure in his eyes, and I know you’re the only one who can get through to him.” She squeezed your hand this time, assuring you that what she was saying was true.
“And what about you?” You asked. “Whether I destroy his business or get him the help he needs, you’re still going to lose everything.”
She smiled, “no. I just got everything I needed.”
A/N: We’re getting somewhere :P

Tall man gets love
Description : Mori was always with Honey. But what happens when they split up for a bit, thankfully Mori will always have his family to help him.
Or in other words, Ouran High School Host Club is perfect for agere stuff and there’s not enough of it on here.
This was my first OHSHC fic and it took me a while to get the courage to write thing but I’m pretty impressed with it. This was very inspired by DannyFANtom and Mcschnuggles who have awesome fics, I really recommend checking them out.
https://archiveofourown.org/works/30654551
Mori was walking the halls looking as if he was in some kind of trance. He looked lost, and confused. As if his mind was off somewhere else. He couldn't find Honey and that made him a little... nervous.
They were always together.
He could feel his mind start to get... fuzzier. It was slowly getting harder to focus on stuff. He tried to remember where he was and where his cousin was but, nothing came to his mind.
So there he was, roaming the hallways after school hours looking for Honey. He vaguely remembers him having to get something from class but he should've been back by now.
That's when his eyes landed on it.
Music room 3.
He gasped. He knew this room! Mori quickly walked towards the music room, taking shaky steps. He was having a hard time focusing on anything. Especially walking.
He felt his mind begging him to be small. It's been a little while which he knew wasn't good.
He tried to regress at least once a week but missed the last few weeks.
The only person who knew was his cousin, Honey. He watched him when he felt small and always took care of him. Kind of like a caregiver...
Mori slowly opened the door trying to be as quiet as possible.
Thankfully all the guests had gone.
Unfortunately, the other hosts where there.
Mori attempted to enter as quietly as possible, not wanting to cause attention to himself, sadly, this never worked.
"Hey, Mori-Senpai!" Haruhi called to him, smiling at him with a little wave. The other hosts smiled and greeted him as well. He smiled a small sad smile at her.
His mouth quivered a bit.
His day had been so stressful so far and he hadn't seen Honey in a long time.
So it's not a surprise that he couldn't keep the tears that fell down his face. His lip quivered as more came.
Seeing all his friends so happy to see him made him want to slip even more.
As hard as he tried, he couldn't help it.
The usually quiet man sat down and put his face in his hands as he cried. The other hosts looked confused and went over to him.
This was concerning since they’ve never seen him like this. So... sad. It was very out of character since usually they would be lucky to get any reaction out of him. He was a man of few words.
"Mori-Senpai. What's wrong?"
"Why are you crying?"
"Where's Honey-Senpai?"
All these questions were beginning to get too much for him.
Mori removed his hands from his face and put them to cover his ears. He tried to block out the noise. His eyes shut tight.
Without him knowing, he felt a gentle hand pressed against his shoulder. Mori gently opened his eyes to see Tamaki placing a hand on his shoulder.
Tamaki was looking down on him, smiling a comforting and reassuring smile to him.
Mori felt himself get calmer. He could feel the tears slowing down as he sniffled. He rubbed his eyes and that's when another hand passed him a tissue.
Looking up again he saw Kyoya with the same type of comforting and reassuring smile that Tamaki had.
Mori wiped his nose and his eyes. He stopped crying. They could tell he was trying to go back to his neutral expressionless face but was struggling a significant amount.
“Senpai? Are you any better?” Haruhi asked him calmly. He gently nodded.
“Why were you so upset before?” Hikaru asked him.
“Yeah, I don’t think I’ve ever seen him like that before.” Kaoru said, nodding in agreement.
Mori only sniffled and wiped his nose a bit.
Even if the other didn’t notice of it right away. Haruhi definitely did. The way he was acting and his expression. As if he was thinking about something else, his mind far away. She doesn’t know why but... he looked so... innocent in her eyes. Almost like a child...
No one was expecting what happened next...
Mori felt so safe at this moment with his family surrounding him that he clung into the closest person.
This, of course, was Tamaki.
He couldn’t help it when he wrapped his arms around the blond and tried to hide his face in his chest. At this point he had fully slipped.
And Tamaki, being the great friend that he is, didn’t hesitate to wrap his arms around him in a loving embrace and whisper soft things into his ear to calm him down.
All the other hosts looked a little confused, but Tamaki made it seem like an every day thing. Comforting him as if he’s done it a thousand times.
Being in the arms of the blonde, it didn’t take him long to calm down. His was no longer freaking out, but even so, he didn’t want to leave his friends embrace.
Out of embarrassment or fear of freaking out again, he wasn’t sure.
That is until another certain blonde came through the door.
Honey looked very worried and concerned.
“Takashi!” He yelled running over to him. Immediately he wrapped his arms around his neck. Mori gently broke off from Tamaki and wrapped his arms around his cousin.
“Mitsukuni...” He mumbled into his hair.
“Is that the reason he got to upset earlier? Because he wasn’t with Honey-Senpai?” Hikaru asked them.
“Yes, I had to go back to my class really fast so I could get one of my books I forgot and I told Takashi to wait for me by the window. He must’ve slipped and forgot about it, so he got scared. I’m just glad he found you guys. Thanks for watching and taking good care of him Tama-Chan!” Honey thanked them smiling gleefully.
Instead of smiling back, the others were rightfully confused.
“Why do you mean Mori-Senpai slipped?”
“Yeah and he’s been away from you before Honey-Senpai, why did it make him so sad now?” The twins asked one after the other.
Tamaki was surprisingly quiet and Kyoya was just waiting for an explanation. He was quite intrigued.
However, before anyone could say anything, Haruhi was the only one to notice what was actually going on.
“Mori-Senpai, how old are you?” She asked gently and softly. She lowered and softened it as if she was talking to a child, which she had a feeling that she was.
Honey gasped then smiled, in all honesty he wasn’t very surprised that Haruhi was the one to figure it out first.
Mori put up three fingers, before switching to two.
Kyoya’s eyes went wide.
He understood now.
“How long have you been?...” He asked, like Haruhi he had softened his voice. He sounded calming and concerned. He really was the mom of the group.
“For a few months now. I help him and watch over him so he doesn’t get hurt.” Honey explained.
“Would you guys please just tell us what you’re talking about? It makes no sense!” Tamaki exclaimed trying not to be too loud since he was right beside Mori.
“Is it ok if I tell them?” Honey asked. Once receiving a head nod from his cousin, he started his explanation.
Mori figured they’d want an explanation anyways, why not just tell them everything.
After all, they were a family.
No.
Wait.
They were his family.
“Takashi is a little.” Honey told them. Mori nodded.
The twins looked confused for a sec before figuring out what he meant.
“A little what?” Tamaki asked.
Everyone started laughing.
Even though it wasn’t that funny, they all thought it was.
“No, Senpai, what he means is that he regresses. To deal with stress.” Haruhi explained to him.
Ohhhhhhh.
It took Tamaki a few seconds before the realization hit him like a truck.
“Ohhhh. Awwww.” He couldn’t help but coo. He vaguely remembered them talking about that and he always thought it was absolutely adorable, and has even considered trying it once or twice but reprimanded himself because it was ‘too childish’. He’d spent so much time trying to convince himself that he shouldn’t, he kinda forgot about it all together.
“Why didn’t he tell us in the first place?” Kaoru asked.
“Probably because he was afraid. Which is understandable, this stuff can be very personal to some people.” Kyoya explained to him who nodded.
“Well now that we do know, if you ever need someone to watch you, we’ll always be available.” Tamaki offered, smiling at the little.
Not used to getting so much attention, Moi started blushing a bit. He didn’t know why he was so nervous to tell his friends, no, his family something like this.
He must’ve been pretty silly if he thought that they would mock him or judge him for this.
“Thank you! I know he doesn’t really express it often, but I know he’s very happy to have you guys as friends and that are willing to help him.” Honey told them. And in all honesty, he was happy too. Happy that his friends were so open and accepting for them.
“Well we’re a family, families help each other. Now, how about we get some snacks, I bet everyone’s a little hungry.” Tamaki suggested. They others all agreed and started making their way towards the food.
Mori and Honey walked hand in hand. Like they should be.
“I’m sorry I left you alone when you were small. I promise it won’t happen again.” Honey apologized. He felt a little guilty about it.
“Iss ok.” Mori said softly. It wasn’t like his usual voice. This one definitely made him sound like a child.
They smiled at each other before joining the others.
Mori was glad he told them.
And now, he felt closer to them than ever before.

Becoming a Family With Him, Part 3 // Shuichi, Hikaru, Rhion, Luke, Eisuke
so this came out, as further celebration for the anni. VERY GOOD, much more appreciated than the prior story set lol that one was kind of boring but i get it
they made the kids for all the... kid-less ones, and the eisuke one that used to be VIP-exclusive is now here for everyone to buy (rip those ppl who gacha for it)
my rambling behind the cut (spoilers!!)
shuichi // as ud expect, shuichi has a literal hime ass looking girl (kikyo) for a daughter. she’s only 6, but is pretty calm and ladylike. She even calls her parents with –sama so... ok luckily shuichi does not strip down all the way in the presence of her daughter and only takes off his suit coat. thanks dad
anyway since shuichi has a break coming up, he wants to have a family trip how nice. but then the dang girl wants to go over to see eisuke WHAT when soryu exists and lives a block away? unrelatable, im closing the app anyway eisuke is her first love, which wtf he’s like 20 yrs older than u. even worse, mc says she’s been in love since she was like 3.
shuichi is reconsidering the benefits of democracy in his mind but eventually relents. but then they’re still following the fucc-days rule they set years ago. well, as he says in the story, RULES ARE RULES
blah blah i don’t want to go over everything bc then it’ll be boring reading the story when it comes out in engl right? also im tired bc it’s 1 am and i just want to play toontown in bed but nothing really bad happens. they are a v cute family bc shuichi is a pleasant and mature dad. kikyo and mc even do a little surprise for him at the end and it is very sweet. i feel like out of all the families, this is the most ideal
mad hatter // so they have twin sons named Rui and Kai. Rui is the childlike one that resembles Rhion in personality, Kai is the more mature one that resembles Al. man i forget that boy’s name but u get me i know they only can use stock bgs but it’s killing me that these dang kids get to sleep in what looks like separate king sized beds.
even though rhion is now a father of two, he still acts like... 10. i mean he still horni but it makes me feel weird
later it’s revealed that Ota teaches them both as an art tutor bc they both showed an interest in art. this is cute bc ota is bad with kids in this universe LOL
the ending on this one was weird cuz the kids didn’t show up in the entirety of the last ep bc it was about WORK. so uh... interesting
hikaru // so their son is named akari. haha get it because it means light. like how hikaru also means light. can mc name her kids unrelated to their father or is that against the Geneva convention
this kid actually acts like an actual little boy. like what hikaru would’ve probably turned into if not for the whole sad backstory. the story starts with akari just bringing a dog randomly home one day. he actually saved the dog (it is very cute bc he did not want the dog to cry), and then after a talk they decide to keep the dog as long as akari knows the responsibility of taking care of an animal.
so next day, the bidders come over to their house and everyone’s like woaw a dog. lol they come into their house as guests and eisuke and mamo still demand for beverages, they all suck
akari names the dog... “Light” (Raito) and i want out of this nightmare. Naturally bc Light is an abandoned dog it’s still kind of bad with interacting with things. But then Light suddenly be giving the ( ╹ਊ╹) to soryu bc remember, animals love him. everyone clowns on soryu for being an unintentional dog whisperer and then akari is like “soryu san pls make me ur apprentice” and he gives some advice like approaching it slowly, and talking to it from the front instead of back.
blah blah there’s a situation where Light goes YEET after a Doberman gets all angry and then hides bc then another dog is scaring it. hikaru swoops in to the save the day as the Real Dog Whisperer. ok it’s cute when hikaru actually gets to look cool  for once LOL
luke // luke is cute on the bc “pre-story” scene he’s actually pretty open to the idea of having kids; he actually goes “well imo we should think abt it pretty soon, but i wanted to hear ur opinion on it” but then he gets horni. and then he’s like “our kids are going to have your collarbones. awesomeee im looking forward to that” ....ok
ok cut to the actual story and they’re in Japan. Luke’s kid looks... strange versus the others. why are his eyes so big? omg voltage his eyes arent going to be saucers just cuz he half white also the kid’s name is Yuri (Or Urey). They couldn’t think of any other Brit-styled names? Like Harry? Henry? William? Wilfred? hey stan be my princess btw he’s pretty cute, though he gives serious “timid kid that gets bullied in the children’s movie” vibes. He calls Luke “daddy” and mc “mammy/mommy”.
so luke talks about his relationship w/ soryu and eisuke and then yuri is like “i want friends like that” wow cute but also find less ethically-complicated friends
so luke lets yuri meet a young patient of his (haru) so they can be friends. they get along so it’s good. haru gets in critical condition later so luke zooms outta there to do the operation.
LOL but at the end yuri is like, “i want to make more friends. (...) can i go to the bidder’s room from now on?” this boy works fast
And then he’s like “Eisuke-san... please be my friend.” HIS POWER. even eisuke was like :O so then eisuke orders a whole bunch of food and books up to the penthouse. But then yuri’s like “...i like eisuke’s eyes” and everyone’s like oh man that’s gonna be his fetish
Baba: why have u started to have an interest in eyes Yuri: I read it from one of daddy’s medical books Hikaru: wtf u can read that at 4??? (...) Soryu: wat Yuri: um... i want soryu to be my friend too Yuri: bc soryu’s eyes are also powerfully cool...
eisuke // ok this gets an extended ramble bc the more annoying the story the longer i must complain
so you might be thinking, “oh so this is gonna be a flashback in some in media res styled story with your 2 kids, u know in the style of the others” and well, no you just go straight to white screen into the flashback, back when eito was smaller and thus a little more cute. well it’s not really false advertising bc they did say “reminisce” in the description. but i wanted to see eito be a good big brother for a moment! or... less good? man i wanted to see kaito go waaaah like a baby idk i wanted to see him exist
so back to the story they cut to small eito. even as a smaller punk he does fight with his dad a little, just w/ a more narrow vocabulary to work with. tho at this point he’s still pretty sweet so clearly eisuke clowning him day and night was a negative effect on his development. (doesn’t treat his child like a child) (child grows up to a punk that doesn’t respect him) (surprised pikachu) being the son of a billionaire means that this child has to go study at a very young age and listen to MOZART. no child of eisuke ichinomiya will be listening to degenerate bops like lee taemin’s criminal next day they all go to the very fancy school that eito will be attending. eisuke does a speech, but then eito is all like “why is papa over there all the time” in reference to how all the other parents in attendance are having fun with their children, but eisuke is busy talking to other people for business and connections etc. etc. mc kind of has a hard time trying to explain it to eito bc... it’s honestly poor parenting... eiji shows up after arriving late, and he’s like “gramps is gonna be with ya today! instead of papa” which is cute but then she’s like psst thanks for coming and im like oh... so grandpa just didn’t randomly come to the open house for fun he’s just gonna be surrogate dad while real dad is busy... aw... and then at the end eito’s like FUC THIS KINDERGARTEN. eisuke is like “(smh) don’t yell in public. (despite everything) you are still the eldest son of the Ichinomiya family”
and so afterwards it’s clear that eito does not want anything to do with this school. he just sits in the classroom until mc is there to pick him up instead of playing in the courtyard or w/e, wanting nothing to do with the other kids.
so later there’s a hiking trip for the students and both of their parents, and mc asks eisuke if he’ll be available for it. eisuke is like, “i have a business trip that day, so I’ll have to adjust my schedule” and he’s been very busy in the opening of a new business or w/e. mc tells him to not do so much for something like that and that it’s ok if she goes alone with eito on the trip.
it’s the day of the trip, and mc goes alone with eito. she notes that a lot of dads did indeed come along for the trip. she apologizes to eito and says that she did talk to eisuke about the trip before, but he’s simply busy for this day. and im like... but girl, you were the one who told him not to change his schedule for the trip. yes a trip may seem less important than business ventures, but don’t make it sound like you weren’t the one who stopped him. lol. idk why im pressed abt this single line of dialogue bc later she does realize she fucced up there well eito is just like w/e about it and has pretty much accepted that sort of thing
anyway eito goes missing later and one of the kids said that he told eito that his dad (eisuke) didn’t come bc his dad thinks that his work is more important than his son. so eito got mad and ran off somewhere
and then mc finally gets the lightbulb moment that eito... wants to see his dad!! he ran off to go try to see him somehow??? !! wow so sweet
it’s raining like a mf but then in her search for eito eisuke randomly pops out of nowhere. He’s like “ho i did not remember saying that i wasn’t coming” and she’s like “im sorrryyy” and both me and him are like “just find the dang kid”
ok yea they find eito, he starts being a good student, and u start to see where he starts being antagonistic towards his dad LOL etc. etc. lol this story annoyed me so i don’t feel like doing the rest of the play by play orz
anyway thanks for reading my garbage LOL

Fem!verse: ace!Mickirk+ Enterprise crew edition.
• Jim full name is James Tiberia Kirk. James because George said so before he died and Tiberia because people seriously have sense of humor. She hates when people calls her with her full name and loves Jim, because Jim fits her better than anything. The only person who can call her James is Leo;
• Leo goes for Leonora Horatia Mccoy, because every single Mccoy needs to have Horatio before the surname. It's the law. Everyone calls her Leo or Nora but in the middle of a shuttle ride Jim Kirk decided she was going to be Bones and that's that;
• Leo's the best dancer of all Georgia and she ends breaking everyone heart between the steps. She met Jocelyn on the dance floor and they are sixteen, marries at 20, becomes parents at 23, divorced by 26. They kiss one last time when they are 24 and half and then they fight, fight, fight, while Leo drowns herself into work and Jocelyn in Clay's bed;
• Jim was born in space but lives all her life in Iowa with Frank and Sam, util Sam leaves them when she's 11 and he's 16. Tarsus IV is just a year later;
• Leo is 6'5 ft tall where Jim is 6' (5'9 Jim, don't bullshit yoursel). Leo hates her hair longer than ten centimeter and loves all the kind of undercuts- she actually learned to cut them herself during med school because if she didn't have time to sleep she surely didn't have time to go to the hairdressers-, where Jim always have them long and longer, forgetting her hair tie in every single room of the Academy and then on the ship, on planets and one memorable time even in a volcano;
• when they met Bones was 26, recently divorced and it was almost six month since the last time she saw her baby girl, while Jim was 22 and just met the floor of a bar;
• Leo loves Joanna. She loves her little girl and would do anything for her. But she didn't really want her at the beginning, she did it mostly because Jocelyn wanted to a baby and her mom always seemed sad when she tought about her not having a children;
• Leo comes out in the middle of a study session because a guy from her xenomed course invited her for dinner and dessert and honest to God with people are always thinking about sex. Jim looks at her for a long moment before asking for something more (first year);
• Jim comes out while she is drunk because how could she not. She says, holding her hand out, as if she was counting to not forget how many words she has to pronounce: I'm non binary, biromantic and asexual. What's your prognosis doctor? Leo orders another round of drinks and sleeps in Jim bed, holding her tight against her chest that night. The next morning she asks Jim what pronouns prefers. (she/they; secone year);
• they start dating almost at the end of their third year, after the most intense friendship both of them ever had. It's not like one of them says to the other we're together, they just kiss once before class and then the same night before going to bed and every other day from that moment on. Theoretically they have two different dorm with different roommates but they sleep in the same single bed for months. Sometimes in Leo's dormitory, sometime in Jim's;
• Leo finishes her (second) PhD during the second years and Jim is awestruck with how clever her best friend is and she gets a thank you at the end of the thesis because I wouldn't even got very far without you. It's almost a love confession;
[• Pike always looks out for them and a part of him looks at Jim and see George, almost twenty years before. He rembers how they used to spend hours in the simulator because George wanted to teach him how to fly every single ship he could find and Christopher used to follow him around. He wasn't in love with him but he could be easily been the case if it wasn't for Winona. (bi!Christopher Pike; one-side!Chris/George (was it really one-side?); George/Winona; dadmiral)];
• they end up on the Enterprise because of Nero and now she is Captain James Tiberia Kirk and her girlfriend is the CMO of a boat she hates half of the time, but she couldn't be happy anywhere else;
• between Leo and Spock is not love at the first sight and not even at the second, or a thousand, sight. It's not love at all but their frenemies relationship is the most awsome thing in her life after Joanna&Jim. Spock needs a hand but he doesn't know how to ask for it and then Geoffrey M'Benga arrives with all their knowledge on Vulcans and stuff just falls in the right place. He tells her he's trans and wants to transition but Vulcan is still not the most open place about it so he would like to be helped. Leo can tell him no;
[• Geoffrey M'Benga is 32 years old, non-binary and use they/them as pronouns. Everyone calls them GF. People really freaks out when they have to meet them because they never know who are going to meet. With him it comes Christine Chapel, the queen of lesbians and with her all the best of Starfleet Medical are together];
• Spock and Nyota become a couple when Jim/Leo are fighting and then a trouple when Gaila gets a post on the Enterprise. Leo is still angry and honestly she could care less of everyone and their lives (Nyota is bi, Gaila aromantic, Spock kisses them with his fingers and with his mouth and it's one of the best thing of the day);
• they are fighting because Jim is reackless and Leo would like to not see her in the infermery every other week and, on the last planet they visit, the prime minister flirted with her and Jim almost let herself be kissed. She doesn't know with whom begin more pissed, herself for believing they could last or herself, again, for believing they could fail so easly;
• they both miss Chehkov's freak out on the bridge because he looks at Hikaru and oh yeah, but then he looks at Leo and he got the crush for her but then there's the alien with three genders and the one after that that as none. They all make Chehkov hot hot hot. And he is 18 and wants answers and to try everything at least once. Okay, maybe it's better if he doesn't say a word about the crush he has for Dr. McCoy but for the rest;
• it takes two weeks to find the way to solve this particular fight because talking is so difficult when you never had to.
Probably will be more.

AEW Double or Nothing 2021
In which the spirit of WCW is alive in confusing and delightful ways and we are left to parse whether overbooking and extracurriculars are offset by having actually very good wrestling happening at the same time.
- Lessons learned from Revolution on the production side? Maybe just cool it on pyro, though the rappelling adventure in the Stadium Stampede showed some of that now-characteristic 'trust us it'll look better on TV' flair. Hot crowd tends to paper over most woes, and the crowd was pretty hot. My one gripe is that the casino theme is hanging around like yesterday's takeout containers. Nothing wrong with clinging to a theme, I just think it's time for season 2. My suggestion? Under the Sea.
*Pre-Card Serena Deeb (C) v Riho for the NWA Women's Championship (***1/2) - Serena Deeb's star has finally risen. She's a remarkably consistent technician and she can get a match out of anyone at this point. She's working at the level of Mercedes Martinez or Madison Eagles at this point, it's amazing that she was overlooked or considered fit only to be a coach for so long. With the NWA belt she has this new swagger, she's basically everything Tessa Blanchard might bring to the table with none of the downsides (Serena has a lot of friends and seems like a lovely person, even!) - Riho's back and here to stay. Her time in Stardom didn't do much for my evaluation of her, which is that there are many better wrestlers that would be better representatives of the joshi style and she's merely pretty good. - The match was very good. Serena showcased a champion's aggression against a sympathetic Riho, they really work well against each other, Deeb's technical prowess against Riho's flexibility led to a very dynamic finish.
*Main Card Hangman Adam Page v Brian Cage (***1/2) - Here the shenanigans start. Brian Cage is on Team Taz, Team Taz has nothing else much to do tonight, so why wouldn't Team Taz flex their muscles, bait us with HOOK, etc? (Because it would be nice to have some variety in the card in terms of a match where one competitor stands across from another competitor?) - Hangman is (checking notes) yeah, still over as fuck, as befits the Anxious Millennial Cowboy. Cage terrifies me, he's a child's drawing of a body builder. He do be very agile for a man of his immense musculature tho. They match up well, Page is biggish for a flyer, Cage loves to play catch. Nothing much to write home about, other than Hangman's beautiful moonsault to the floor and what was overall a very good curtain jerker. - Okay fine, I am curious about Cage's reluctance to lean on the goons, Starks can't come back soon enough.
The Young Bucks v Jon Moxley & Eddie Kingston (***) - I will not be referring to Mox & Eddie as (The) Wild Things because it gives me 'he calls it the wacky line' flashbacks for some reason. - The Bucks have to cheat and abuse Rick Knox's attention span constantly to be on even footing with Mox & Eddie, which is a clever sort of thing that gets washed out by the appearance of LG and Karl Anderson, which again, is cool in a vacuum but was the story of the evening. - Pace was weird - repetitive in eliminating Eddie, then Mox fights back, failed hope spot, Bucks team up, Eddie saves x2/3 in a row. - Mox, unlike Cody (in so many ways,) will probably actually be taking some time off with Renee, which is the kind of thing I would prefer not to know in terms of booking, but they really uh, put him down on the canvas here, and it felt pretty finale-esque.
Casino Battle Royale (n/r, but on the balance pro) - Any changes to the theme of the PPV would likely include changing up the nonsense suit format of these largely joyless slogs. - Obviously anticipating a NJPW talent, or... I dunno, actually -- Lio Rush was a surprise. Got in a quick demonstration of his otherworldly quickness, and you know what, there's probably a fun place for him in AEW. He'll need some friends, of course, feel like Team Taz might fit his temperament. I wonder if he was aware of the Mark Henry news... - Christian does not need to win this kind of match to get a title shot, obviously, but that said it was super lovely to use him to give Jungle Boy the shine. Jungle Boy would be a license to print money if he was even as big as Hangman. - Could register some continued griping about how Penta is not getting his due in AEW but he also literally was dressed as the Joker so I'm low on sympathy on this one particular night.
Anthony Ogogo v Cody Rhodes (*) - I did not like this. It's hard for me to read jingoism as a face move to begin with, and Cody's was egregiously tone deaf and kinda silly yet delivered without a trace of irony because Cody doesn't do irony on purpose, ridiculous neck tattoo aside. - Great argument to be made that Ogogo just isn't experienced enough to be winning matches against Cody. But like, what are we doing here? Cody needs to take some time off, maybe. I thought that's what was happening when he had his mini feud with Penta that really just ended in quick decisive Cody win. I though maybe Cody was being turned when QT and The Factory snapped-- sure, they're a group of impotent player 2s, but Cody is an out of touch elitist with a callous and manipulative streak. Alas, also no. America #1. - Cody is approximately 8 times as tough as Billy Gunn based on his weathering of the one punch man. Match ran a bit long given how little there was to go on. Cody gigged? Quelle surprise. - Cody had the best match on the card like, 3 out of the first 4 AEW events or something, and that was all booking and storytelling. I do hope Cody follows Moxley's lead into a little sabbatical.
Miro (C) v Lance Archer for the TNT Championship (**1/2) - Card's hossiest hoss match, a quick burst reminiscent of a car wreck. Absolutely hit on what it should've hit on but a little slow moving considering it went all of 10 minutes. - I will not complain about Jake the Snake, who I love. And also the gimmick spot, with Miro very astutely yeeting what was definitely a snake in a bag (surely.) back down the tunnel.
Dr Britt Baker, DMD v Hikaru Shida (C) for the AEW Women's Championship (***) - Picked up a lot of steam toward the end but seemed a little toothless (heh) until the last five. - Shida 'deserved' some more time as champion in front of crowds but also it's time to let heel Britt reach her peak, I can't even imagine how obnoxious she can be as the champ, it's going to be great.
Sting & Darby Allin v Ethan Page & Scorpio Sky (***1/2) - Such is the power of STING that I feel like I might be underrating this match... I mean it was an okay match about very simply getting some revenge and the sixty year old man did a very subdued Code Red and a slightly less subdued dive. He's also Sting. They missed an opportunity in calling it the 'Scorpio' Death Drop, but the main takeaway here is you see something like this where it's The Icon and you start to understand why WWE trots out their legends to come out of incredibly still kick ass without bending their knees. - The difference, I guess, is that Sting is absolutely being used to build up Darby Allin, whereas it's not like the fed brought back Goldberg and his attendant aura to pump up... anyone but Goldberg?
Kenny Omega (C) v PAC v Orange Cassidy for the AEW World Championship (****) - Off the top I have to say I'm very sad that the rest of the Galaxy's Greatest Friends were seen only very briefly, nice of them to bring OC's backpack. - Also have to point out that PAC's promo featured one of my favourite jokes, that Kenny must be short for Kenneth as a sort of legal/birth name belonging to a professional wrestler. (See also: Samoa Joseph) - And Mr Cassidy certainly did try in this match, ragdoll sells and all. Kenneth and PAC are absurd talents who bring aerial, power and technical maneuvers in equal measure and OC is not doing any of those on the same level, but he picked his spots, showed his genre savvy and hung in there to the point that he wasn't just the fall guy. - The extracurriculars continue in a match that was already a little overboard for silliness due to asymmetry... I think if you're the Invisible Hand it would've made sense to save up all your tricks for this match, but who am I to question the golden goose? - Sure, Kenny and Don ran the classic heel manager interference spot and taking out the ref in desperation spot but having to take out the ref because PAC wouldn't break the hold is fun, as is the stupid/inspired sense in running the 'smash opponent with the belt' spot four times so as none of your heavy gold prizes feel left out. (I love that AAA Mega Championship, they weren't on TV so we get to see it?) - "Fuck You, Don," indeed.
The Inner Circle v The Pinnacle in 'Stadium Stampede II' (***1/2) - This one had to grow on me for two reasons, first that it's usually pretty unforgivable to co-opt the main event spot from the championship match, and second to law of diminishing returns on dumb gimmick matches. - But grow it did. There's a full on meat locker? Commentary will refer to a cardboard cut-out of Shahid Khan as Tony Khan's father (that's canon now,) and Jericho will lovingly pat it? Konnan happened to be the DJ at whatever night club there is a Jaguar Stadium? Spears surrounds himself dramatically with chairs and his hoisted by his own petard? - Ultimately it comes down to letting Sammy shine. His involvement with the Inner Circle has sometimes come at the cost of being able to showcase that prior to AEW he was an ascendant talent in PWG, on his way to Ricochet level feats of acrobatic excess. Still feel like Sammy could've/should've been the one tossed off the cage a few weeks ago, but even better is being the guy getting the pin in the ring.

Hi I saw your post about writing for AEW, would you be willing to write for Austin Gunn. The idea is that the reader has a crush on him and while they're both training, because of the sexual tension she suddenly reveals her feelings. ( if you can't its totally cool ☺ ) thanks xx
You’re lucky I love you, Idiot. ~ Austin Gunn x reader (Request by @heranimebeautyghost )
Tumblr media
You were working out at the gym in Daily’s place. You had been signed to AEW as a wrestler for just under a year now and it was the best decision you had made in your entire career. You had been wrestling professionally for 6 years now but had never gotten a chance to really show off your abilities until AEW was announced and your small but loyal group of fans made noise on twitter about how they needed to sign you and before you knew it you were on a call with Tony Khan. Since you were signed you got to work with your friends you met when you wrestled in japan such as Trent Barreta, Chuck Taylor and your closest friend Hikaru Shida, but you also got to make new friends in Kris Statlander, Orange Cassidy and the Jurassic Express. When you started wrestling you had swore to yourself to never date another wrestler because you knew how hectic the schedules were and you knew you wouldn't be able to devote enough time to a relationship as you would like but being in AEW during a pandemic really tested that when you spent more and more time with a certain loudmouth member of the Gunn club, the one and only Austin Gunn.
How did you get into this predicament you ask? Well because of the pandemic, if you want to use the gym you have to sign up for a time slot and since they lessen the amount of people that could be in an enclosed space you might only be sharing that time slot with 1 or 2 other people. Most people opted to use their own home gyms or public gyms but you stayed with the Daily’s place gym. You knew because you prefer to work out later at night that a time slot would always be open. It just so happened that Austin worked out in the same time slot as you did, so you end up spending an hour or two alone together every two days. As you hung out with Austin more and more you couldn't help but develop feelings for him. He was an utter sweetheart even if he was the definition of a himbo. He would distract you from your workout by trying to be your hype man and making you laugh so hard you have to stop whatever workout you were in the middle of to jokingly call him an idiot. You started to develop a soft spot for the youngest member of the Gunn club soon after your workout sessions began.
You were getting ready to go to the gym the night after dynamite, you were running late because you overslept your pre workout nap. You were now the number one contender after you defeated big swole on last night’s show so you were preparing for an intense workout but you couldn't help break out into a smile at the idea of talking to Austin about your title shot. You arrive at the gym. You see the time slot is open, you hear Austin music already blaring as you walk into the gym. You place your bag down as you take off your sweatshirt and go to start warming up. “HEY Y/N!! I thought you weren’t gonna show!” You hear Austin yell from the other end of the gym. “I could never miss one of our workout sessions Gunn” You say back to Austin as he pulls you into a bone crushing hug, you can't help but appreciate these small moments of closeness you get with Austin because you just knew in your heart that he doesn't feel the same way that you feel for him so you have to hide your bright blush by burying your face into his chest. Austin holds onto you for longer than you expected before he releases you to go back to your warm up. “How long have you been here before i got here?” You ask as Austin returns to his weights. “Oh you know only about 20 minutes, i wasn’t waiting for you or anything” He adorably laughs out the end of sentence as you look over at him and he quickly looks away as if you caught him staring. “Sorry to keep you waiting hot stuff” You wink at him as you playfully flirt with him. He gives a hearty laugh at your attempt to seem cool.
Once your warm up is finished you start you to make your way over to the ring that's set up in the center of the Gym. You begin to stretch using the ropes before you notice Austin had finished up on his weight and was taking a quick break to have a drink of water. Your eyes sweep over Austin as his arm flexes to bring his water bottle to his lips. You snap your eyes away from him before your thoughts get rated R. You start to run the ropes to distract yourself from the hunk of a man behind you. “Hey, do you mind helping me run through some moves?” You stop running to hear Austin ask, you’re lucky you're not facing Austin as you start to blush immediately at the idea of being so close to him. “Um yeah sure, i don't mind.” You say as nonchalantly as you can muster up.
Austin gets into the ring and starts to walk you through a submission move he wants to do in his next match. He was attempting to modify an arm bar to make it more Gunn-like(?) so he claimed. “So.. where do you want me?” Your face goes bright red as you nervously laugh at the implication of your question. Austin does a double take at your question but you see his face go red as you watch his mouth open and close as he tries to format a reply. “Um how about you lay down on the mat?” You and Austin were now dissolving into a full on laughter fit. You lay down on the mat and Austin gets in position for an arm bar, Your arm rests against his torso as he grips your hand in his. He begins to move his legs to hook under your shoulder as he's adjusting himself, he releases your hand and it sits on his well defined pecs and you barely hold yourself back from running your hand up and down his muscular torso.
You're broken from your lust filled haze by Austin suddenly getting up and offering you a hand up. “Oh did you get it?” You are still seated. “No it’s not working the way i pictured it but it’ll be fine, I’ll figure something out.” Austin says almost saddened that his move wasn’t executing the way he envisioned. You grab Austin hand to help you up but he underestimates his own power and yanks you off the floor so fast you don't have time to find your footing before you brace yourself for the impact of hitting the floor but it never comes instead you collide with Austin's chest as he catches you in his strong arms. Words fail you as you look up at Austin and see he’s already looking back at you. You break eye contact to look down at Austin's lips and then you look back up to his ocean coloured eyes only to see he's looking at your lips as well. “.....Jesus” Austin sighs, your brows furrow “what?” you ask, mentally preparing yourself for the worst. “You look so beautiful right now, it's insane.”
You were blown away, did Austin really just say that? To you? right now? The air is knocked out of your lungs by pure shock alone. Words fail you as you try to string together some sort of intelligible speech. “Oh my.. Wait, what? You think I’m- really? Are you sure?” If your face was red already now your entire body was on fire. Austin laughed at your jumbled mess of a response. He pretends to think for a moment before he responds. “Yeah I'm pretty sure you're a stone cold stunner” he gave you that thousand watt smile and had you not been wrapped in his arms, your knees would have buckled from underneath you. To hide your ever-growing blush you lean your forehead against Austin's chest as you giggle at his term of endearment. “Aw come on baby doll, don't hide that gorgeous face from me now” You bury your face deeper into his chest as he tries and succeeds to make you blush by showering you with compliments. You're suddenly hit by a sad thought that Austin is just playfully flirting with you like he always does. It's hard not to feel let down by the ideas you had built up in your head not being possible in real life.  You feel Austin’s hand under your chin as he tilts your head up to lock eyes with him. “...please don’t lead me on” you grumble more to yourself than anything but Austin hears you crystal clear and his brows furrowed in confusion as he sees the sadness in your eyes, you move Austin’s arms to allow space between the two of you so you could attempt to control your pounding heart. “Y/N what do you mean ‘lead you on’?” You sigh in frustration as you prepare to tell Austin about the built up feeling you've been having for the last 2/3 months.
“Listen Austin I know we're just friends but I want to be more than that but I know you don't feel the same way and that’s ok but please don't-” your frustrated venting is interrupted when your pulled back into Austin’s chest and his lips crash onto yours. Your eyes go wide when you realize what's happening before you allow yourself to completely melt into the kiss. Austin's hand rubs and massages your side and trails down to your ass as your hands tangle in his golden hair. You're the one to break the kiss as you rest your foreheads against one another while slightly gasping for air. “Incase that didn't answer your worrying Y/N, I really like you too and I’d actually like to take you out to dinner some time if you'd like” your head was spinning and you were sure if it was from the kiss or from Austin’s confession but you did know one thing for certain. “Yes Austin I’d love to go to dinner with you sometime.” You went to exit the ring to carry on your long forgotten workout when you feel Austin smack your ass. “AUSTIN!!” you say shocked at his sudden forwardness, You look back at him but he looks away innocently “..what? I didn't do anything.” You playfully glare at him when his poker face begins to crack. “You're lucky I love you, idiot.“

Chapter Three
Poll Result: Skip Class
Haruhi looked at her friends’ curious faces as they waited on her answer and saw the sadness underlining their smiles. She began to feel guilty, realizing they truly have missed her. A month can be a long time depending on how you’re hoping to spend your time. For them, this previous month must have felt like a whole semester as they waited for her to prioritize them for once.
She sighed, knowing there really wasn’t another option. If her professors docked her grade percentage because of her absence then she’ll make it up with extra credit. If that doesn’t work, at least she is very close to the chairman’s son - although she wouldn’t want to resort to her connections if she could help it.
“Fine,” she succumbed to their puppy eyes and pouty lips, “I’ll skip today - but only this once!” She raised a finger to solidify her point, narrowing her eyes for good measure.
Kaoru nearly squealed when he pulled her into another shoulder crushing hug.
“Mori-senpai,” Haruhi choked out, “Help..”
“Kaoru.” Takashi warned before leaning over the table and swiftly pulling Haruhi from his grasp.
She settled back into her chair and took a deep breath, “Thanks senpai, I can always count on you for that.”
Takashi returned her thanks with a smile before sitting down and adjusting his shirt.
Kaoru was about to say something when the waitress returned with their tea and mochi.
About an hour later Hikaru paid for their meal, much to Haruhi’s protest, and left the Lotus. As they walked along the wooden walkway they began talking about how they should plan their day.
“What is there to do around here?” Haruhi asked, wondering what other campus jewels she hasn’t discovered yet. The only places she visited were her professor’s buildings and the convenience store across from her apartment. Now she regretted not taking the time to look around first, she should have known a prestigious university like Ouran would act as a college student’s playground.
“There’s a zoo nearby that’s still open for the season.” Mitsukuni suggested.
Haruhi just now noticed he didn’t have Usa-chan with him. She figured it must be one of the days he has to leave the bunny at home. She looked at Takashi and wondered if he was still strictly enforcing this rule. They weren’t sharing an apartment so he probably has to trust Mitsukuni to stay true to his word.
Has she noticed him carrying Usa-chan at all? She cursed herself for truly not knowing what her friends had been up to. All this time she completely shut everyone out to dive into her studies. What was she thinking? All this time she could have been enjoying her first year in college with her amazing friends instead of suffering through homework and all-nighters by herself.
“The zoo isn’t a bad idea but it’s pretty chilly out. Some of the animals might have been moved to their indoor habitats.” Kaoru said.
“Oh that’s true.” Mitsukuni responded sadly.
“What about the art gallery by the theater?” Hikaru asked, pointing toward a winding paved pathway to their right.
Takashi shrugged, “Mitsukuni and I went there yesterday.”
“You did?” Haruhi asked, looking between her tall and short seniors.
“Yeah we did, “Mitsukuni said as he walked beside her, “We asked you if you wanted to come but you didn’t say anything so we figured you were busy.”
“Oh I’m sorry senpai, I guess I didn’t hear you…” Haruhi admitted, embarrassed.
Mitsukuni noticed her downcast gaze and grabbed her hand, “How about we go somewhere nice? You’re skipping class for this after all, might as well do something extra special.”
Hikaru snapped his fingers and stopped walking, causing everyone to stumble to a halt behind him. “I think I know what we should do,” he said, turning to face them, “we should go to the planetarium later. I know it’s cloudy now but it’s supposed to clear up by tonight.” He waved his arms toward the sky, “Imagine lying underneath the stars, just us.”
An image of him and Haruhi cuddled together underneath the milky way flashed before his eyes. In that split second he could feel her body nestled under his arm, her soft breaths brushing against his neck.
“That actually sounds really nice,” Haruhi confessed.
Kaoru nodded, “Alright we can do that tonight but what about right now?”
“A farmer turned his field into a corn maze not too far from here.” Takashi said, looking toward the treeline on their left.
“A corn maze? Isn’t that an American activity?” Haruhi asked, looking up at him.
Mitsukuni clapped his hands in excitement, “Yeah! It is an American activity but he was inspired to make one himself. I read about him in Ouran’s newspaper last week. We should try it!”
Hikaru rubbed his chin in thought, “That’s a good idea but isn’t it in Koyo? That’s a 45 minute drive.”
“I’m fine with that,” Haruhi offered, “I don’t mind a long drive.”
Mitsukuni squeezed Haruhi’s hand before letting go, “Alright, Takashi and I need to head back to our apartments to change clothes so we’ll meet you there.”
“Good idea, I’ll text tono and let him know about tonight. He and Kyoya-senpai have class so they can’t join us for the corn maze.” Kaoru said as he pulled out his cell phone.
“Who do you want to ride with Haruhi?” Hikaru asked.
Who should Haruhi ride with?

I sincerely apologize for the late chapter update. We didn’t have anything defrosted for dinner so we had to do a late-night grocery store run and make ourselves something to eat. I’m going to try really hard to stay on top of schedule.

Gasher's Dilemma
Summary: Madoka and her struggle to be happy as support. (I described this to a friend as: I decided to write a fic on the intersection between beyblade, sports, and feminism. My friend laughed so hard they may have died, and I can’t blame them.)
Madoka thinks she used to like battling. Maybe she didn’t love it, but she certainly didn’t hate clashing beys in the arena with someone else. Watching sparks fly had never failed to bring wonder into her childish heart.
And Madoka thinks she used to hate battling.
Madoka had never been very good at battling, if she had to rank herself, she’d say she was middling. She’d known how to put a decent strategy together, and she knew the basics of beybattles, but she was always just off.
    She lost a lot.
She remembers once a kid--- she can’t even remember if she knew him--- kicking her bey out of the ring after a loss. He told her to quit battling because she was obviously never going to be any good at it, she didn’t have the stuff for beybattles.
Madoka thinks she cried that day.
Madoka loved her bey, Mad Gasher. She hadn’t made it from scratch, but with the help of her parents. She’d worked on most of its modifications alone, and loved watching her improvements spring to life in the arena.
    She still didn’t win much.
The training centers had begun to feel oppressive, it always felt like everyone was watching at her, waiting to laugh at her failure. She felt heavy everytime she entered, like chains were weighing her down.
Madoka decided one day it was best to just focus on her mechanical skills.
She’d nearly forgotten about her old interest in beybattles after a while. Mechanics was just really fulfilling for her. She loved helping out all the bladers that would come to her store, and loved it even more when a little boy had returned and thanked her.
It wasn’t until she met Hikaru that she began to think back on those days she’d used to battle.
Hikaru was a great friend. Madoka hadn’t gotten to know her that well prior to Battle Bladers, but as Hikaru took on a job at the WBBA, Madoka started to see her more and more. They met up for lunch at least once a week, and Hikaru would stop by the shop when she got off early in the evenings and join Madoka, and whoever else was hanging around, for dinner.
Madoka hadn’t had another female friend for years. Most of the bladers who came into her shop were boys, most of the mechanics she met at the WBBA were boys. Everyone she really got a chance to interact in her domain was a boy.
She shouldn’t mind it--- really! It’s not like she disliked her friends, Gingka and Kenta were both great and she loved talking with them. Gingka had so much energy, and Kenta was always eager to learn!
So why had she nearly cried when she got home after her first lunch with Hikaru? Why did Madoka love talking to Hikaru so much, and feel so at ease around her?
Madoka felt terrible--- shouldn’t she appreciate Kenta and Gingka this much?
Madoka felt amazing, and she set up to meet Hikaru again and again.
It was during one of these lunches that Hikaru began to complain about the environment around competitive beyblading.
“It’s a dick club Madoka, honestly,” Hikaru complained, and Madoka almost snorted out the milk she was drinking, Hikaru sighed and laid her chin in her hand, a sparkle of laughter in her eyes. “They were always like you can’t be that good of a blader, you’re just a tiny little girl, girls don’t have any muscle mass. God did it feel amazing to finally get good enough to start kicking their asses.”
“Beyblade is, statistically, overrun by male competitors.” Madoka didn’t need a stats chart to tell her that, she’d been to tournaments, Hikaru had been the only female competitor she’d seen at many of them.
“Mhm, it was rare for me to meet another female opponent. It was disheartening, I would always get shit for being a girl, and there was no one there to support me. Makes sense given the harsh atmosphere, I can’t blame them for not wanting to stay,” Hikaru sighed, and Madoka found herself shifting uncomfortably in her seat.
“It does seem like not the best environment for any girl to feel safe in,” Madoka added in, but her heart was only half in it. What was this pressure she was feeling on herself?
“I remember this one little girl running up to me one day and saying she wanted to be as good a blader as me. I felt really good then, like I had inspired someone. But now, I just…” Hikaru trailed off.
“Feel what?” Madoka prodded, and hated herself for it. She didn’t even want this conversation to continue.
“I feel like I’ve betrayed all those little girls that looked up to me, like I’ve proven all those assholes who talked shit about me right. Look at me, I can’t… I can’t battle anymore.”
Madoka left the cafe that day feeling worse than normal, rather than better.
Madoka was enraptured by Mei Mei. The girl was very powerful and kind, and always seemed happy to see Madoka. Madoka wished they weren’t on different teams, that the tension of who would win didn’t exist, she would’ve loved to get to know the other girl better.
And Madoka was never one to not act on her wishes.
They didn’t leave China immediately after the first round, they still had another two days left. So Madoka set the boys up with some food, a training plan, and yelled a quick goodbye before she set off for Beylin Temple.
Mei Mei welcomed her with open arms and a cup of tea. She was invited into what she believed was Mei Mei’s room, and they sat together as Madoka asked about Wang Hu Zhong.
Apparently they were planning to win the wild card tournament, which was the only path they could take now other than quitting the tournament. Madoka found herself listening entranced as Mei Mei talked about all the new strategies she was coming up with, and the training regimens they would be going through.
“I can’t believe how dedicated you all are, you’re just the sub Mei Mei and yet your training regimen sounds so much harsher than what even Gingka is doing. It's no wonder Wang Hu Zhong is so good if you all hold yourselves to those standards,” Madoka praised the young woman.
“It’s no big deal, we’ve always been this hard-working! It takes constant practice to become the best and live up to everyone’s expectations,” Mei Mei flexed her impressive muscles.
“It seems like all of you have really put the time and effort in to improve,” Madoka nodded.
“We have,” Mei Mei smiled, but Madoka could detect a twinge of sourness in it. A note of discontent. A glint of sadness.
“I wish my team had that amount of dedication, they all love beyblade but can’t seem to focus on any of the training I give them, and their egos always make them clash,” Madoka sighed.
“Your team probably didn’t need to dedicate themselves that much,” Mei Mei mumbled, balling her fists, and Madoka found herself immediately going on the defensive.
“Listen my team may look disorganized but all of them have worked hard to get where they are-” Madoka began, determined not to let anyone minimize the accomplishments of her friends.
“Sorry, wait, that’s not what I meant, honest!” Mei Mei waved her hands in surrender, and Madoka felt herself immediately backing down. Why had she gotten so defensive, Mei Mei was a friend and had only been nice to her. “Most of my team didn’t have to be as dedicated as me either.”
Madoka frowned. “What do you mean by that?”
Mei Mei shifted, but with a look up at Madoka she seemed to calm down, and Madoka found herself giving the other woman a reassuring smile. “It’s, well, you see, it’s pretty obvious I’m the only female trainee in all of Beylin Temple.”
Madoka thought back, and found she couldn’t think of an example to prove Mei Mei wrong. Mei Mei was the only girl she’d seen in this giant temple.
The thought made Madoka want to cry.
“I’ve always had to work really hard to earn my place here. Every time I mess up, it feels like they’ll just kick me out. I have to be perfect to stay, because it feels like I’ve already messed up just for being a girl, so if I mess up again I’ll just be out. No one else has to worry about that, Da Xiang and Chi Yun have never had to feel that way. They don’t even seem to notice I’m the only girl here.” Mei Mei looked close to tears, and Madoka scooted closer so she could rub circles on her back.
“I thought--- I thought I was finally good enough. That I’d finally earned my place here for good. I worked so hard, I practice most nights, and I’m the best at almost any training exercise. I might not be very smart, but I never give up. I thought maybe I’d finally be good enough, but then Chao Xin had to show up and beat me like it was easy. Like, no matter what I did, I still couldn’t measure up to just some random boy.”
Madoka found herself giving Mei Mei both her own and Hiakru’s phone numbers before they left the next day.
Russia sure was a trip for the team. After days on the train, bored out of her mind, Madoka thought that was how the rest of the trip would be. Of course, Masamune had to then go missing, and Madoka had to stay up every night communicating with the WBBA and trying to find him.
Her eyes burned with tiredness, and she wanted to fall asleep for days.
But there were only 2 days remaining in Russia, and she still had so much she wanted to discuss and learn from the Russian team. As much as Madoka was involved with beyblade, her side had always been more mechanical and scientific. She knew she could learn a lot from a team that straddled both her side and the side of her team.
She emailed Aleksei ahead of time, asking if she could come over to talk. He responded nearly immediately with the address of where Lavushka was staying, and Madoka made her way over.
It was a nice enough conversation, once Madoka got Aleksei to stop apologizing. They had a really good system, and Madoka found her head spinning with the amount of scientific knowledge they buried her in.
She got tips on her training plans, and ways to create new moves in regards to the mechanical properties of each bey. They all had unique perspectives on it, and Madoka found herself hanging off every rare word from Nowaguma. His insight on how to create more powerful attacks would be really helpful.
Lera offered to walk her back to the hotel where she was staying when night began to fall. Madoka couldn’t help but feel grateful, she hadn’t been looking forward to being alone in the dark. Her parents had always told her to never be caught outside after the sun set, and Madoka kept that advice buried deep within her instincts.
Madoka hadn’t gotten along with Lera that well when they first met, most likely because Lera had been trying to trick them, but Madoka still felt bad about that.
She also felt bad about disliking how loud the girl was, especially when 3 out of the 4 members of the team she had were even louder boys.
Lera was incredibly intelligent. She talked about rocket physics in such a colloquial manner that even the boys might’ve even been able to understand her. Madoka knew from experience how hard it was to explain stuff simply for other people without as much expertise in the field to understand, and Lera seemed to do it naturally.
“So you think that by changing the bey’s weight like that it would almost get rid of friction?” Madoka wondered.
“Yeah! That’s what I’m going to be testing out first when we reach the labs. I have most of my prior research already completed, and it’s a good topic for my thesis. I might need Aleksei or Nowaguma to agree to test it out for me…” Lera trailed off at the end.
“Do you need them to test it so you can take the data?’ Madoka asked, but knew that wasn’t the answer. She could take her own data perfectly well while in a battle, even though she hadn’t done so in a while.
“Nah, it’s just that to test it out I’d want to try it against a variety of opponents, which means going to a local bey club,” Lera screwed up her face in mockery.
“You don’t like the clubs?” That was fairly obvious, but the question was more serving as a why.
“They’re completely filled with boys, and none of them will take me seriously when I ask them to battle. And if I win they get mad and call it a fluke. It’s like none of them can just take a loss from someone without a dick,” Lera complained. Despite the jokey tone of her voice, Madoka could still hear the undercurrent of anger beneath it. Anger at how society dared to treat her.
Madoka thinks she felt that anger too.
“That does seem to be one of the few similarities in the countries I’ve visited so far. Boys being scared if they even are slightly shown up by a girl that they’ll suddenly lose all their masculinity and never crawl out of the deep pit of despair,” Madoka added in, and found herself remembering the boys who used to mock her when she was a child.
They were always boys. The clubs were always full of boys, and there was no space for her there, no room for her to mess up, because she was already an outsider.
But Madoka had messed up, so much.
“It’s not like I got anything to prove to them though, they can die angry, I mean, look at me! I’m on the Russian team!” Lera did a little twirl and Madoka found herself giggling at the girl’s overdramatics. “I’m never going to be able to do anything to make those boys respect me, or make them happy with me, so why should I try? I know who I am, I’m a scientist, and I’m fucking great at it.”
When they arrived at Madoka’s apartment, she accepted a quick hug from Lera. Maybe from that hug Lera could pass some of the willpower she had to Madoka, because Madoka could use it.
She ordered some flowers for Hikaru that night, and added a little note to them. There are people you will never live up to the expectations of, and people who will accept you just the way you are, because living up to the standards is impossible, you can only live by your own.
Madoka wasn’t very good at writing notes, but from the two hour long call she and Hikaru had the next day, Madoka thinks Hikaru understood.
Madoka had a lot of time to think on the flights they were constantly taking. Even with all the work she was taking on, it couldn’t take up all the time.
Had she given up on battling not because she disliked it, but because the environment was so unwelcoming? Had she let a ton of sexists bully her out of it? Was it her fault? No, of course it wasn’t, so why did she still feel like a failure.
Madoka wanted to love mechanics, wanted to love being support, but how could she when it just seemed to prove what everyone said right? Why did all this have to be so complicated, she just wanted to live her life however she wanted!
And why did it feel like there’d never be a right choice?
Because no matter what she did, the words Lera told her and she told Hikaru were correct. There was no way to live up to their expectations.
Why was that so hard to deal with though?
Wild Fang didn’t have any women on its team. Madoka tried not to feel personally about it, but she couldn’t help but remember when she had watched matches as a little girl, and asked her parents why there weren’t any girls playing.
She wondered if there were little girls at home watching this match and seeing that there was no space for them here.
Madoka didn’t want to be thankful for the injuries her team suffered, but at least they took her mind off this. At least they gave her something else to think about than how much of a failure she might look to other girls watching from home.
Mei Mei texted her at 1 in the morning after her loss saying that she was glad that if she had to lose it was to another woman. At least then one of them could move on.
The match between Excalibur was stressful, and Madoka felt ready to shatter at any moment. Tsubasa had lost control again, and Gingka had battled looking almost as battered as he did in his last match against Kyoya.
Yet they all pulled through the challenge, they all rose to meet it, and came out victorious.
And Madoka had never been able to rise enough to pass the challenge of sexism.
Madoka hoped that Excalibur won the chance to battle Galaxy again, she hoped that Sophie was able to stand on the winners podium, if only to show young women that they could.
If only to show Madoka that she could.
It was afternoon in the hotel they were staying at. Madoka was making a quick lunch for the team. Yu had joined her in the kitchen this time, and Madoka took to teaching him some basics about chopping vegetables and using the stove. She didn’t expect a kid as young as him to be able to do complicated cooking, but she had learned after Kenta that it was worth it to give these children some basics otherwise they’d just live off fast food whenever they were journeying alone.
Tsubasa, Gingka and Masamune were all watching matches on the TV. It was a junior tournament, with some beginners getting their first taste of a proper tournament scene.
Madoka wasn’t paying that much attention to it, but she found herself suddenly doing so at a comment from Masamune.
“Kinda weird that there are no girls in this tournament, huh?” Masamune mentioned as he munched on some popcorn.
Gingka nodded in agreement. “There aren’t many girls at tournaments I suppose, I’ve never really noticed before.”
“I wonder why that is? Maybe not as many like beyblade, or are as good at it, or as competitive. They just aren’t into it I suppose.” Masamune said that so… so… casually! Like he just couldn’t understand why there wouldn’t be any girls in a tournament. Like it was just fun food for thought for him.
Like he just hadn’t suggested that girls didn’t enter tournaments because they just weren’t as good as the boys, like there was something wrong with them.
Madoka couldn’t hear if anyone agreed with him, or if anyone argued. Maybe that was for the best. She was out the door within a second.
Madoka walked, and walked, and she was going nowhere. Was this always how it was? No matter how much she improved, she’d always be stuck right here in her square of being a failure. And why was she a failure when she just wanted to be herself!
She wished she could make it so Mei Mei would never cry again feeling like there was too much pressure on her to be perfect or she’d be kicked out. She wished she could make it so Lera felt safe doing her research rather than only being able to rely on Aleksei and Nowaguma because she couldn’t ask anyone else for help without it being seen as her being unable to carry her own weight. She wished she could make it so Hikaru didn’t feel guilty about having to retire from battling so she could mentally recover.
She wished she could make it so that she felt ok just living as she was.
Madoka didn’t know where she was, but that had been normal for the past few months. Madoka had been travelling so much, not only externally but internally. She felt disconnected from everything she’d thought she was.
She was drifting.
She just needed a safe harbor to dock at, one that could tell her it was ok, one that would tell her she was enough.
That’s when she spotted Excalibur exiting one of the shops. Excalibur, which had Sophie as one of its members.
She was walking over to them before she’d had time to think, before she’d had time to be rational. Sophie was just so regal every time they met. The woman seemed completely confident in her own abilities and skills. She was almost radiant in the comfortability she exuded.
“Oh, hello Madoka,” Wales greeted as she neared them, and the entire team turned to lock their eyes on her. She found herself shriveling a bit inside from their intense glares, of course they wouldn’t be that friendly to her, they were still enemies in the tournament.
But…
Madoka wasn’t a fucking coward, and she wasn’t one to back down once she’d started something. “I was wondering if I could talk to you, Sophie?” She hoped her voice came out loud, confident, like the woman she wanted to talk to, but her voice just sounded small and broken.
“Listen, we’re enemies, we don’t have time to-” Konzern began to lecture her, and Madoka found herself ignoring him. She didn’t actually care what he thought.
“How are you able to be so confident, and, and just keep battling despite the fact you're the only girl there? How do you deal with it and look so unbothered, because it’s obvious to me already that Europe is just the same as everywhere else, so how are you able to keep going?” Was Madoka making sense? Madoka thinks her thoughts had stopped being coherent a long time ago. She stopped understanding things, stopped understanding herself.
A warm hand was laid on her shoulder, and she looked up to see Sophie smiling down at her. It was a soft smile, full of understanding. It was like all the other girls Madoka had met on the way here, the mutual experience they all shared with one another. “There’s a park just a few blocks from here, why don’t we go there so we can talk somewhere less busy?”
The park was quiet, and mostly empty. There were a few joggers running on the paths winding through it, and Madoka could hear the faint laughter of children, but for the most part, she and Sophie were alone.
Sophie led her to a bench and handed Madoka a handkerchief. Madoka couldn’t even argue the gesture, she felt like she might start crying at any moment.
“So then, do you want to tell me about it?” Sophie asked, and Madoka looked into the eyes of this near stranger and found that she trusted her to understand the flurry of emotions that had been building inside of Madoka for weeks, so she let it all out.
She doubted what she was saying made any sense to Sophie, but more and more words just came pouring out. The way she was realizing that her bullying as a child had been influenced by sexism. Her love for mechanics but her guilt at not being more proactive. The things Masamune had said. Her want to be a role model for other girls, but how could she be a role model when she was always in the background?
Madoka told Sophie everything, and Sophie sat and listened, and when she was done, after asking for permission, Sophie reached over and hugged her.
The handkerchief was soaked by the end.
“I think we all feel that way sometimes, as if by not being everything and more that we’re letting someone down. That we’re letting other little girls like we used to be. That’s who we’re trying to live up to the expectations for, that imaginary little girl. But in the end, all we can be is ourselves. That’s how I make it through each battle, each loss, each remark thrown at me. I think that just by being me I’ll inspire someone, because if I wasn’t myself I’d just be lying to all those young girls. I think I can be a role model just the way I am, and maybe one day they’ll be even better role models than me, and more and more girls will be able to flourish in beyblade. I don’t know what the future holds, but in the end all I can be is myself, and hope it’s enough for those girls. Because it’s also the only way I can ever be happy.” Sophie answered Madoka’s questions from so long ago, and Madoka finally felt ready to take those words to heart.
“It’s just, hard, not to try to take any responsibility about the institutions running society. Because I am a part of society, so shouldn’t I work to change and revolutionize it? But you’re right that if I were someone I’m not, I’d just be unhappy,” Madoka sighed.
“I think all women are inspiring just the way they are, doing things that make them happy. I just wish society didn’t make us doubt it, and push us away from what we want.”
All the girls Madoka had met were very inspiring. Hikaru with her determination to continue making others happy. Mei Mei with her pure love for battling and her crazy training. Lera’s incredible scientific genius and confidence in her abilities.
Madoka didn’t want to change a single one of them, they should all get to be happy the way they were.
And Madoka didn’t want to change herself, she wanted to be happy being her.
It was society that had to move over and make way for her.
Sophie ordered a car to help get Madoka back to her hotel. Somehow, Madoka had wandered halfway around the city, and it was starting to get late.
Sophie gave Madoka her number before she went inside, and Madoka found herself smiling as she added another woman to her ever-growing list of friends.
She hesitated a bit before the door to their shared room. She had left her team suddenly, they must be worried about her. But she couldn’t bring herself to regret her decision, not when she had managed to talk to Sophie.
She entered the room quietly, but that still didn’t stop everyone from noticing her entrance. Tsubasa was on the phone with--- that sounded like Hikaru? Gingka and Masamune seemed to be arguing over a map, and Yu had been pacing until he spotted Madoka.
“Madoka! You’re back!” Yu cried as he launched himself into Madoka’s arms. She stumbled backwards as she caught him, bracing herself against the doorway. Madoka may have been small for her age, but carrying around mechanical parts everywhere had made her rather bulky, and she held Yu easily.
“Madoka!” Gingka and Masamune cried at once, coming to hover around her. Tsubasa followed at a more leisurely pace, but Madoka could still see relief flooding his eyes.
“I’m sorry I worried you all?” Madoka managed to get out. They were all so close to her, and looking at her with such a range of emotions. How was she supposed to explain what had happened? And what had happened here?
“We’re just glad you’re back,” Tsubasa said softly, giving her a tiny smile. Madoka returned it gratefully, and put down Yu, who had finally stopped clinging to her.
“Where did you go?” Yu demanded, crossing his arms.
Madoka floundered for a second, but Hikaru on the phone came to her aid. “I’m sure Madoka is tired right now, she can explain what happened whenever she wants to.”
Madoka thanked her and then returned to her room. She needed time to center herself, to figure out how much to tell her team.
After ten minutes a knock sounded at her door, and Madoka figured her time was up and she would have to tell everyone. With a sigh, she pushed herself up her bed, and let them enter. To her surprise though, only Masamune was standing outside the door, holding a tray loaded with food.
“Gingka made the food, the rest of the team is eating around the table right now, but Tsubasa said you might want to be alone. Well--- he also said that I might need to talk to you alone to apologize,” Masamune laughed awkwardly as he rubbed the back of his head, and Madoka led him over to sit on the side of her bed.
“I don’t really understand what happened, but Tsubasa explained to me a bit why my comments were wrong and might’ve hurt you. I really didn’t mean to do that, honestly! I might not understand but you’re a really cool friend Madoka and I wouldn’t do anything on purpose to hurt you,” Masamune apologized.
Madoka… knew all that, deep in her heart. She knew her friends were nice people that would understand and listen to her. They didn’t understand because they’d never had to think about it, not because they were purposefully cruel.
It was nice to be proven that with an apology though.
“I know you didn’t mean to hurt me Masamune,” Madoka began, giving him a kind smile. But she also needed him to understand where he was wrong, because it had hurt. “I just want to tell you why you were wrong.”
    “And I’ll listen,” he promised.
So Madoka explained to him how he was blaming women for not being able to handle a hostile environment, and how discouraging and harmful it was to be surrounded by men all the time. She told him about her own experiences, and how his comments had made her feel like she wasn’t doing enough by just being herself.
Masamune wasn’t as good a listener as Sophie, he interrupted a lot, and didn’t seem to understand everything Madoka was saying. But he stayed there and tried, and apologized again when the conversation was over.
Madoka would know her words had made an impact on him just a few months later when she saw him cheer on a little girl in Dungeon Gym. He seemed perfectly focused on making sure she received the support to succeed. He was honestly going a bit overboard… and Madoka loved it.
After the conversation with Masamune, she didn’t really see anyone else for the rest of the night. The next morning, Tsubasa nodded a good morning to her as she started making breakfast, and asked if she was ok. Gingka also apologized to her and asked if she wanted to talk about anything. Yu gave her another quick hug before moving on.
Hikaru called later that night, and stayed up to chat with Madoka as she worked on maintenance for all the beys. The conversation was very relaxed, the silent understanding still existing between them.
“I think I want to try battling again, just for fun, not in competitions,” Madoka mused aloud.
“Well, you got a wide array of friends who’d be eager to be your opponent. And maybe… I’ll battle you someday,” Hikaru responded.
“I’d be honored if that day ever came,” Madoka smiled at the phone, and hoped Hikaru could hear it.
Madoka stayed in contact with all the women she had met, and put them in contact with another too. Lera and Hikaru seemed to have bonded about complaining about their bosses, and Mei Mei and Sophie were constantly passing battling tips.
Madoka loved being a girl. It was like a warm blanket that fit comfortably over her shoulders, like a happy dance in an apartment with low playing music. It just felt right, it felt serene, it felt like who she was.
And she loved working at her shop. She loved helping bladers find the perfect combination of parts and improve their strategies. She loved watching them test out her modifications in the small stadiums they had, and the way occasionally they’d thank her when they left.
And she loved it when a young girl entered her shop asking for repairs to her bey, and Madoka fixed it up, offered some advice, and watched the same girl return again and again, with more girls following her each time as they took the world by storm. She was enough, just being herself, and so were those girls.

Why I love Umi and Ascot
I have loved Magic Knight Rayearth ever since I was a kid. I come from a small country where anime and manga was a pretty unknown thing during my childhood, but then they started to air shows like Rayearth and Sailor Moon which were so different from what I had usually watched and I was so hooked. However I never managed to watch every single episode of Rayearth anime, I started from the 2nd season and didn't even see all the episodes from that either, I was very late to the party. Later on I got to buy the original manga instead and got to experience the story via that, and I LOVED it! The characters that really stood out to me were Umi and Ascot, let's start with Umi: In the beginning Umi is a very selfish and bratty girl who comes from a rich family, and she is constantly complaining about how she is missing her personal things. However during their adventure she learns to care about others and becomes more patient. She starts to really value her friendship with other girls. Many people have pointed out that Umi seems to get most development out of the all main characters and I do agree. She feels like a totally different person in the very end of the story. What was the real highlight in her character imo was when she managed to talk sense to Ascot when he attacked them. She had learned so much from their friendship and now she used this knowledge to show Ascot how he should really treat his monster friends. Then about Ascot: He starts out as a literal child who was incredibly misguided, he only wanted a good place for his monster friends but everyone were scared of them. That is until Zagato offered him and his friends a place to stay, and he started to serve Zagato as well. He used his friends as weapons against others, until he met Umi who told him off for not treating his friends right. He understood his mistakes and apologized the Magic Knights. And in the second season we see him definitely being learned a lot from Umi. He tells that he has stood up for his friends so nobody is afraid of them anymore, he has learned his own magic skills from Clef so he wouldn't need to always depend on others and he is also helping to do many chores like picking up fruits with his monsters. During the second season I totally love how much of a deep bond there has been developed between Umi and Ascot. While Ascot's feelings were definitely romantic towards her while she was overall a very oblivious person, they still do so much together. Ascot tells and shows to Umi how much he has learned and how much Umi has affected him, for which Umi happily compliments him. He also insists to help the Magic Knights when they are about to go find the path to the pillar, and later apologizes to Umi how he isn't strong enough, causing Umi to smile at him with a moving expression. After Hikaru removes Cephiro's pillar system and the girls return to the others, they are floating towards the ones who the have the strongest bonds with, of course Umi decending towards Ascot. Then in the epilogue we see them making tea together, while Ascot asks if Umi is dating anyone or if she overall likes someone, abd she is still as oblivious as ever. :) If I would add some smaller details why I love these two, here's some: First of all, Umi is often described to be very beautiful, almost like a model, but personality wise she was very brattish. When she changed Ascot however, she did it while reasoning with her, so I really like how Ascot clearly is not into her because of her looks, it was what she taught to her that made him to love her. I also love Ascot's overall devotion towards her, in both manga and anime we see him going to such lenghts to protect Umi, how he even apologizes to her because he really wants to do more but isn't strong enough. Not to mention Mokona also clearly noticed their bond and thought they should go together in the same ship to find the path to the pillar.
Here I would shortly talk about the MKR anime adaptation. Tbh, I was rather disappoited what they did to their relationship here. I do love that Ascot is still devoted towards her, but their overall bond that I thought was very solid in the manga felt like an afterthought. I wasn't very happy about Umi having feelings for Clef either, mainly because it I never felt that much connection between them, maybe somewhat in the OVA but not in the original series, not to mention I always thought Umi was supposed to be oblivious to love in general. I get that anime doesn't have to be exactly the same as the manga, but again I felt that the bond between Umi and Ascot was very solid and in the anime I was very sad we couldn't see Umi truly reacting to Ascot's growth.
While I doubt MKR would ever get a Brotherhood treatment, I would still like to see one someday, and I would especially love the bond between Umi and Ascot being shown in its whole glory. They don't need to actually become a couple or anything, as it was left very vague in the manga too, but I definitely want them to show their bond done right. I overall loved how only one of the Magic Knights got a love interest (that being Fuu), meaning not all the characters have to be in a romantic relationship, which I find admirable. Hikaru and Umi are just still very young and oblivious people. I am not saying all this just because I ship Asmi, I say this because I felt that the bond they had in the manga was such a strong part of their characters. I only want to see that done in proper way. Thank you for reading!

Dear Diary 31
You’re starting to fill up, huh? If this keeps up I may have to buy another diary eventually. At least I’m keeping up with this!
I met up with Trystan for that lunch I promised him, it was nice to catch up and talk. I tried to push off the unpleasant chatter as long as I could and just talk about happy things, but eventually we had to get down to business. It’s a lot more fun to talk about the past, our adventures, and things we can look forward to in the future. It’s not like I don’t want to talk about my troupe or the things wrong - but it brings the mood down and that feels so vexing. I don’t want my business to be the reason such a great atmosphere gets destroyed. It makes me feel awful.
I also just don’t like being the center of attention if I’m not performing. It was one thing when I was just talking about Sahrin with Tachi and sorting out my thoughts. I feel frustrated since I was unconscious for a lot of what happened, so there’s information I’m missing too. After the slumber party at Gail’s I’ve been hovering around the encampment but everyone’s been huddled in their spaces and I haven’t been able to do any digging.
But I’ll backtrack. Cecilia showed up at Plume which I was happy about, because I wanted to bring her to the party. I got to fight Trystan at Plume and I forgot how devastating he could be in a fight since I usually just watch him. Oh, we’ve fought side by side before, in adventures and in Murea, but it’s not quite the same as getting an actual boot to the chest.
That hurt like all the hells. I blacked out for a while, too. Would definitely fight him again though.
Venomtongue was being herself and placed bets on me, but I saw her hovering at the medical cot when I was coming to. She didn’t say anything, but I like to think maybe she was a little worried about me. ♥ I should probably tell the others it doesn’t bother me when she calls me Barbarian. It’s like we have our fun little snarky nicknames for each other. I wanna fight her again, it’s been a while!
It was a pretty easy night for Plume. There was this huge guy named...Hikaru? He didn’t seem to speak common so it was a little awkward trying to see if he wanted anything, but I liked his look and he fought well! He fought against Tamala’s sister and won.
The matches went on to time for almost each one that night, it was insane! Really great bouts, everyone was great at holding their own. And then at the end Jasper pulled up Zhao and Quin (who was surprised, I don’t think he signed up initially) to help him train. I think he’s trying to sign up for some sort of tournament but he’s not satisfied with his current skillset. I didn’t quite catch all of it, but considering how well he fended off two people at once, I think he should be proud of the skillset he has. It’s not easy fending off two people at once, especially someone with a gunblade.
Also poor Quin, we might have messed with him too much. He is still learning and for someone just getting into it, he’s doing a good job. I just like to give my friends a hard time. He’s amazing when he’s doing his usual thing though!
After Plume we went to Gail’s shop (with all the poisonous plants in the front, yikes! It’s really pretty inside, though) and chattered. I think there was some overal general confusion regarding how we were going to use the baths but that got sorted out well enough.
I don’t mind using communal baths, and I love hot springs, but I wasn’t exactly sure if Conor wanted to bathe with everyone or not, so I opted to just take a quick bath first because I was sweaty and stinky and I wanted to be clean more than I wanted to soak. But then he walked in as I was about to get undressed and started taking off his coat and I was...confused? Did he or did he not want- I didn’t get it.
So he left me to bathe, with me still a bit confused as to what was happening, and when I finally finished and go out, a few more others had arrived. Cecilia was quiet during most of the exchange, which I guess is to be expected since she’s been through an ordeal and she doesn’t really know anyone there. It is a little sad to see how much she’s changed, though. She used to be sassy and full of life. I don’t know what all happened to her, but I’m so angry it occurred because someone manipulated her for...I don’t even know why.
In more pleasant news, Conor has a girlfriend! She’s got a rather unusual name but I feel with his personality, they fit pretty well together! I hope it works out for him, I was a bit sad when the last lady friend he had didn’t work out. It happens of course, but I like to see people happy. Maybe it’s silly of me, but I don’t think it’s wrong to want people to find true happiness with their special someone if they’ve found someone they want to be with.
He was happy to gush about her, which I thought was cute. It reminded me of my father when he gets into talking about mother sometimes. If she’s around, it’s one of the few instances where she’ll lose her cool and get flustered. When Cahil and I were young we thought they were so gross and mushy. Now that I’m older and a romantic at heart, I think back on those moments fondly.
I may also be a bit homesick.
After Conor left, I talked to Gail about if there was anyway her people at GHOST could hide Cecilia or protect her. I didn’t even think about if I could give them anything to offer in return, I guess I’ll have to take that into consideration. I was so focused on just finding a way to secure a line of safety for Cecilia but maybe if I offer my services or something they’ll consider that a form of payment. I don’t plan to ask them to tackle on my troupe’s problems and offer nothing in return.
I was hoping Cecilia would be able to offer us more information about what happened to her and whoever the hells this Sabe woman is, but we did find out it was Armand that passed the message to her that Sahrin was kicking her out. Cecilia is new to the troupe so I can’t really blame her for not challenging Armand and trusting his word. I mean, when you think you’ve joined a family, why would you distrust anyone within it?
Hopefully Gail can coax a bit more information from her regarding whoever Sabe is and what happened while she was gone.We all know Armand isn’t behind whatever is going on, and Gail thinks whoever is must be trying to get rid of anyone who isn’t a founding member. But why now? Armand’s been in the troupe for years and so have I. Armand joined when I was twelve, then I joined officially when I was fourteen. I’m twenty now, I’ve been with them for six years.
Why would someone decide to get rid of us now? Why not do it while we were still back in Radz-at-Han? It’s appallingly easy to make the right people disappear if you have the right connections back home. Why wait to come to a foreign country with no connections and foreign laws?
I want more answers. I’m upset, hurt, and sad that there are those in the troupe willing to go to such lengths to hurt our own and I don’t even know why. I feel so exhausted being in the dark, not knowing who to trust.
I’ve cherished these people since I was a child. Have we all been just sitting on a bed of lies? Have I been smiling, laughing, and performing with people who have wanted to see me dead all this time?
I hate this. Every time I think on it it makes me feel alone and scared. Bonds outside of family are so fragile.
