Horikawa and kane-san are like mother and daughter, usually mothers care about their children, and children care alittle bit about them...but after kane-san kiwame, he has learnt the worth of his little partner-mommy. In Katsugeki manga the first chapter. Kane and hori are like siblings, kane the older and hori the younger...kane really cares about him if you checked out the manga, you'll realize the differrence. The part when kane gave him his earrings he gave him gently not harshly like the anime, and remainded him that they're the daisho (uchigatana and wakizashi pair) of hijikata toushizo the famous samurai.. The next part is also different, hori went and ran through the fire to help the little girl, and when something is about to fall on his head, kane rushed and saved him, he also told him that he won't stop him from saving people, but later hori join kane once again...because they're partners after all! NOTE:Sorry for my bad english!
