It kind of just occurred to me how much the queer community is winning this summer. We had Nimona. We had Barbie (ace Barbie, Allan, just queer vibes all around). We had Good Omens season 2. We had Heartstopper season 2. We're getting High School Musical: The Musical: The Series season 4 and Red White and Royal Blue two days apart from each other. We even have The Witcher finally delivering with Jaskier (or at least it did in the first part, haven't watched part 2 yet).

I don't know where I was going with this. I'm just happy about it.

I think it’s funny that the Pete Wentz that the anti-“jock rock” crowd likes to wax poetic about was a former all state soccer player who was playing D1 soccer just a couple years prior.

One of my biggest pet peeves in media about teenagers is they never understand that the kids in euphoria and the kids in heartstopper go to the same school and sit next to each other in algebra class and bully their teachers together. and they’re friends

#it’s so stupid how shows are either ohhhh all teenagers have fucked up sex and do drugs we’re so edgy OR they don’t think about sex at all #in reality like 10 percent of the kids in your high school are having sex and going to parties and the rest of you. arent #and you are partners in English class and play music off your ipod in the gym lockers and one time you google abortion clinics together #both teenagers exist and they exist in the same context! high school!

happy to announce that ohm pawat made it through yet another show without being grazed by a bullet despite the fact that he had a gun shoved into his face on multiple occasions

most powerful moments in Buffy the Vampire Slayer that I remember off the top of my head in no particular order:

Angel’s “am I a thing worth saving?” and Buffy saying “I know everything you did because you did it to me” and still offering him love

Spike turning from his sin and undergoing trials to get his soul back/“can we rest now” on the cross

class protector at the prom—you think everything you’ve done hasn’t made a difference but it HAS and for one glorious moment you get to see the fruits of all your labor

Faith saying “because it’s wrong” as a joke until it gets into her bones and she says it because she means it
