Highly expected after the angry, vicious reactions I’ve seen from Zionists on Instagram, Twitter, Reddit, and Tumblr. The statement from the company was reposted into various hateful servers, subreddits, and channels as well from what I’ve seen. Presumably they’ve been threatened with lawsuits that they could absolutely win (since they didn’t say anything wrong). but might not be able to afford in the long run. I really hope everyone is safe and unharmed, especially after the threats I’ve seen online. Free Palestine.

Here’s a great reason why that Dropout statement was absolutely necessary:

Even if you disagree with the widespread backlash on the platforming of Zionists, all it took was Dropout outright stating the fact that Israel is committing a genocide against Palestinians, and that Zionism as an ideology does not align with their values, for all these fans to come out as pro-Zionist and pro-genocide. A statement was needed to make it clear to these people that they are not wanted in progressive communities like this one, and a statement was only possible because of the fans who spoke up!

While I might have some issues with the address, it’s truly so much more than any other entertainment media company has ever put out in terms of definitively being against genocide and supremacist ideology.
