Love how Imogen Loxlee seemed almost ENDEARED that Hieronymus married her to better position himself as a Breach organizer. She loves this man that she thinks married her for her vast sums of Valor, but no, he married her as part of some complicated political machinations, and this is, in her eyes, a MUCH better reason

Is Hieronymus, in fact, fucking that old woman?
How committed is he to the cause? What does the Trust's divorce situation look like?
🔮: Hey, Imogen Loxlee is a CATCH

Am I the only person who spent the entire time listening to Midst thinking that Hieronymus Loxlee is a trans man?
Hear me out:
1. Tzila didn't say she didn't have a mother. She really didn't answer Lark's question about having a mom at all.
2. Hieronymus refers to Tzila as his daughter.
3. Tzila didn't recognize Harry The Freight Captain or Hieronymus at all.
4. Unless there was a radical makeover (thanks to the breach), do we really think that the trust would let someone with caenum marry Imogen Loxlee?

caught up on midst. i CAN'T stop thinking about hieronymus "harry" loxlee. how long had it BEEN since he'd seen sherman before walking into his hotel room? why did they break up/how were they separated? did sherman even RECOGNIZE him? did he even know he was alive??? how long have harry and saskia known each other? how did they get mixed up in the Breach--or did they start it? who ELSE is in the Breach, how big of an organization are we talking here???? was hieronymus ascending to this position always the plan, was he only ever chasing valor in pursuit of this exact position to do this exact thing, or was he more like phineas, chasing valor for its own sake before he woke up and realized he couldn't keep condoning this??? how does he actually feel about his wife--is she a puppet like Spahr, or is she a genuinely dangerous figure that he's now married to and doing these operations right under her nose?? how did he GET all that valor???? HE'S THE SECOND MOST VALOROUS GUY IN THE UNIVERSE!!!! i feel like i'm losing my MIND--

so, like, what the hell is Hieronymus Loxlee up to? like, does he has a larger scheme or something? I didn't trust the way he wanted to pay off the rest of Phineas's debt and the way he went to talk to Sherman in private and the way he wasn't at the Upper Trust meeting. does he have a game afoot? if so, what is it? (these are rhetorical questions.)

I made a thing. It's kinda spicy. I almost never draw stuff like that anymore, but I like it so I wanna share :3
It's a silly little four page comic about young Sherman Guthrie and Hieronymus Loxlee having a good time.
Do not click on this link if you're a minor! Also: feel free to download the comic, but I trust you won't share this without my permission, let alone without credit.

I am very torn about Jonas Spahr right now.
On the one hand, I can understand and sympathize with the flaws in his character. Like the rest of the Midst cast, he was abused by the Trust system. I mean - to some extent - your mental state has to be at least a little off when every time you have to walk to your neighbor's house for a cup of sugar you're forced to see a gargantuan golden statue in your likeness. I can't even imagine what that must do to your self-image after so many years.
It's very likely that his strategy with handling the Trust social rules was something he learned from Costigan in the time that he was a junior adsecla. Given how young he was on the Unlift mission, it's likely that he was put on the Company path as early as Phineas. Plus, given the sheer amount of debt he had accrued post-Tearror, he might have even been set up. The truth is that Spahr had no way of knowing what would happen at the Cabaret - that was all Imelda's doing, giving orders where she wasn't supposed to.
But on the other hand...
YEEEESSSSS!!!! How's that feel?? Welcome to the Caenum Club, sucker! You had power and you used it to fuel the endless cycle of fear and self-loathing, you dumbass! Weren't you the one who said to "show some initiative"? Well, where was that initiative in the Vault, HUH??? How does it feel being on the other side of the coin? Maybe you'll FINALLY understand what you'd been putting your adsecla through! At least Phineas had the spine to do the morally right thing at the Gala, while you let Harry walk all over you back at the Delagney! All those opportunities to do the right thing, and NOW'S the time you choose to feel sorry? GO APOLOGIZE TO PHINEAS, YOU DIVORCED WET CAT OF A MAN-

I'm curious to see where the Midst community's heads are at regarding this overarching mystery!
We do not have all the pieces yet, but it's safe to assume that a significant amount of the clues were present in seasons 1 and 2. It goes without saying that this is the mystery at the heart of this storyline, and there are no shortage of suspects to choose from.
(Excluding the final entry, this list has been set in alphabetical order so as to avoid personal biases)

My old Trust character design line-up. Both the designs for Jedediah Pom and Backpack are outdated, but I'd like to imagine that this design is what Jedediah looked like back when he first became a broadcaster.
From left to right: Imogen Loxlee, Hieronymus Loxlee, Jedediah Pom, Backpack, The Miravette Twins, Milton Fleit Sr., Milton Fleit Jr., Mr. Meshkala, Ms. Ledge, Demarin Ginsberg
